"When Imam Hussain decided to leave, he took all of his family members with him, i.e., children and ladies. He decided to leave Mecca because of the ominous messages that came to him, indicating that he would be killed even if he hid inside the Kaaba. The people clung to his clothes and told him, 'Oh Hussain, you have been with us for 23 years now, doing Hajj and giving us supplications in Arafat. We want to do Hajj like you do. We want to be followers of you in Hajj.' So he told them, as a final time: 'I have been given a decree of death that is upon me, and I must arrange my destiny so that it would happen. So whoever will come will be victorious with us, and whoever doesn't, then it is their loss, not ours.'" "عندما قرر الإمام الحسين الرحيل أخذ معه جميع أفراد أسرته، أي الأطفال والسيدات. وقرر الخروج من مكة بسبب الرسائل المشؤومة التي وصلته بأنه سيقتل ولو اختبأ بداخلها. الكعبة فتعلق الناس بثوبه وقالوا له: يا حسين، أنت معنا منذ 23 سنة تحج وتدعو لنا في عرفات، نريد أن نحج مثلك، نريد أن نكون تابعين منكم في الحج. فقال لهم للمرة الأخيرة: لقد صدر عليّ حكم بالموت، ويجب أن أرتب مصيري حتى يتم ذلك. فمن جاء فهو منتصر معنا، ومن لم يأتي فهو خسارته لا خسارتنا».
