[0:10]Brothers and sisters, a lot of the calamities and problems that we

[0:16]face in this life, yes, it could be a test, but often

[0:18]times it's because of our actions.

[0:21]It's the consequences of our sins.

[0:26]And we wonder why why am I suffering from this problem?

[0:29]Habibi maybe you started this maybe it was because of your sin

[0:32]and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is punishing you for that sin here

[0:39]in this world before the hereafter the hadith says sometimes because of

[0:43]your sins Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will cast sorrow in your heart

[0:50]you'll feel depressed you'll feel down why because of a sin that

[0:54]you committed the hadith says sometimes you will trip fall and wound

[0:57]yourself.

[0:58]Why?

[0:59]Because of a sin that you committed.

[1:02]Allah subhana wa ta'ala is just.

[1:08]And therefore, sometimes we pay for our sins here in this life,

[1:11]not only in the hereafter.

[1:13]Now, you may ask why is it that God just does not

[1:17]punish us in the hereafter?

[1:19]Why in this life?

[1:20]There are a number of reasons but one reason is the life

[1:26]this world is too limited and too short for some people to

[1:31]be given what they deserve for sinning.

[1:35]Look at the tyrants for example.

[1:37]A person like Saddam Hussein.

[1:38]I ask you how can Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala establish justice for

[1:44]him on the face of this planet?

[1:49]When you consider that he made millions of people miserable.

[1:52]He orphaned hundreds of thousands of children.

[1:57]He widowed hundreds of thousands of women.

[2:00]He tortured hundreds of thousands of people.

[2:02]How could you ever give him what he deserves in this life?

[2:07]The world is too limited.

[2:07]It's too short for him to receive the punishment from Allah subhanahu

[2:12]wa ta'ala.

[2:13]He does receive partial punishment.

[2:15]But that's why you need the because without it, these tyrants can

[2:20]never get what they deserve.

[2:24]They've made millions of lives miserable.

[2:26]How can you make him miserable a million times?

[2:28]How certain people became miserable because of him for 30 years for

[2:33]40 years.

[2:34]And when you add that you get millions and millions of years

[2:39]of misery.

[2:38]How can you administer to him that in this life that's why

[2:44]those who reject the those atheists who reject God and the day

[2:48]of judgment no the world is it when we die we'll become

[2:52]part of the ground.

[2:52]This is a very dangerous ideology.

[2:56]You know why?

[2:56]Because this creates depression in the hearts of people.

[3:00]If I was living in and I saw all the misery of

[3:02]Saddam and I don't believe in the why wouldn't I commit suicide?

[3:09]Honestly, why?

[3:07]This man ruined my life, ruined my society and the lives of

[3:13]millions of people and then there is no day of judgment.

[3:15]There's no day of reckoning.

[3:17]He became dirt.

[3:19]I'll become dirt like him.

[3:20]Why should I even live this life?

[3:22]That's why we have the problem of depression in our societies because

[3:28]many people don't really believe in the day of judgment.

[3:30]The belief in the day of judgment actually gives you hope.

[3:35]60 million Americans are suffering from depression.

[3:38]Why?

[3:39]One of them is this.

[3:42]Do they truly believe in the day of judgment?

[3:44]That is why the belief in the day of judgment is central

[3:49]to the religion of Islam.
