Who Really Pays rhe Cost of War?

Billions of American tax dollars are being used to fund a war against Iran. Tax dollars that should be funding housing, healthcare, and education, are instead poured into sustaining and expanding the machinery of empire. So who really pays the cost of war: the politicians or the people?
