Sahih Muslim (1821): It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Islam will continue to be triumphant until there have been twelve Caliphs.’ Then he said something that I could not hear. I asked my father: What did he say? He said: ‘All of them will be from the Quraish.’” Sahih Bukhari (7222, 7223): Narrated Jabir bin Samura: I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "There will be twelve Muslim rulers." He then said a sentence which I did not hear. My father said, "All of them (those rulers) will be from Quraish." Sunan Abi Dawud (4280): Narrated Jabir ibn Samurah: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: This religion will continue to be strong until there have been twelve caliphs. The people then said Takbir and made noise. He then silently said a word which I could not understand. So I said to my father: What did he say, father? He said: All of them will belong to Quraish.
