We should come alive, like Haj Qasem!

Let’s experience a higher, more beautiful life…

In comparison with those who come alive by obeying God and his Prophet’s (s) commands, we are dead!
[Poet:] What’s the news saying that there’s so much commotion again?
[Newsman,] “We belong to God and to Him we shall return. The martyrdom of the soldier who defended Guardianship and the nation of Islam…”
[Poet:] I wish the news had been a lie. I wish I would wake up. What is the news saying? I can’t believe it.
[Mr. Farahzad:] I usually don’t like to give bad news. Unfortunately, the Commander, Qasem Soleimani, was martyred minutes ago by the criminal Americans in the Baghdad airport…
In comparison with those who come alive by obeying God and his Prophet’s (s) commands, we are dead! Our eyes don’t see and our ears don’t hear. We don’t hear what the good people say or understand hidden meanings. When reciting the Qur’an, we don’t understand or tremble. We’re stagnant. Compared to those who are alive we are dead. A “Pure Life” is a different kind of life.
[Ayatollah Khamenei:] Our ears are clogged; we don’t hear these messages correctly.
[Martyr Soleimani:] This is an important point my sisters and brothers that one cannot become a martyr until he is [living] like the martyrs. The condition for becoming a martyr is to live like a martyr. If you see a person in whom the signs of the martyrs can be felt in his words, behavior, and temper, know that he’ll become a martyr.
This man was the most beloved. He begged others, “Pray for me to become a martyr. I need to go sooner.” In the last year of his life, he was very restless. What was he seeing? If a person has half his popularity, he’ll become drowned in it and become arrogant. Why didn’t he look at these things? Why wasn’t he deceived? Why didn’t he enjoy people loving him and think this was enough for him? Some aspects of a “Pure Life” have become manifested in such people, however much. Do you know what that martyr said over his walkie-talkie before he was martyred [in the war]?
[Ayatollah Khamenei:] He said, “Come here. Come. There are some things here. There’s something here.” What was there?
[Martyr Soleimani narrating:] “I see something here that if you see it, you won’t leave here.”
[Ayatollah Khamenei:] There were only guns and cannons, and he was martyred an hour later. What was there? What did he see? This is very important. What did [martyr] Bakeri see there? The heaven that he was blessed to see during that last hour was so clear and beautiful that he didn’t want his friend to be deprived of it.
[Martyr Bakeri,] “If you can, come. Come and watch!”
[Ayatollah Khamenei:] He was seeing celestial, spiritual, unseen scenes.
A “Pure Life” is a different kind of life. Are we alive? Technology has deceived us. We have become satisfied with the least. We think we have many facilities. We are holding a trivial mobile, and we see a couple of scenes in the internet from different parts of the world. Then we think we know so much. We have the least facilities, are ignorant to this extent, and we aren’t even sad about it at all. What should we repent for? A person who reaches that higher level of life, when he looks at his palm, does he only gain as much information as we do from our mobile? Or is he busy with other things in the universe and hears other sounds?
[Martyr Bakeri:] “If you can, come. Come and watch!”
Is a person who cannot hear the universe proclaiming God’s glory, or doesn’t have the ability to do “tay al-arz,” truly alive? Has he been able to use all his forces? The Commander of the Faithful, Ali (as), said, “Close your eyes to that which is forbidden and see the wonders.” If we aren’t seeing the wonders, this means we are dead. Believe me! Let’s beg God to help us come alive.
