Undeterred, University of Michigan Students Stand Tall Amidst Police Brutality

"Gaza will rebuild, and Palestine will be free, it's just a matter of fact and I want every one of them to have a beautiful life as possible because they deserve that."

University of Michigan is amongst the more than 200 campuses across North America that set up encampments to protest against Israel's War on Gaza, which has been ongoing for more than 200 days.

On Tuesday, May 21, police raided the encampment at 6 am while the students were sleeping and attacked them with chemicals and pepper spray while pushing them out, arresting at least four.

To hear more about their story, TMJ News went to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where students were peacefully living together at the encampment for a month to protest and demand that their school divest from the Israeli regime.
