[0:00]Amen.
[0:08]Amen.
[0:40]Alhamdulillah.
[0:42]forch.
[1:28]Amen.
[1:38]>> [sighs] >> Brothers and sisters, this verse in which I read
[1:51]is from Toba.
[1:49]And as you know, the last several days that we've been discussing
[1:55]verses from the Quran that start off with, oh you who believe.
[2:03]In this particular verse, God says that's have this tawa this God
[2:12]consciousness and be with those who are truthful.
[2:16]And today, even though as you are aware of what's going on
[2:22]in the world, unfortunately, especially the oppression that's befallen upon many of
[2:29]our loved ones and many people that of great innocence and even
[2:36]though it's a vicious occasion of the birth of Imam Hassan Musham,
[2:41]his life itself will show you that like the imam because honestly
[2:49]when you think about look at all the imams in total and
[2:51]the oppression that that befell upon them my personal opinion and I'm
[3:00]nothing compared to many of you here that are much better in
[3:04]knowledge than me that after the oppression of Imam Hussein the most
[3:08]oppressed Imam would have to be Imam Hassan al- Mushta and and
[3:16]in similarities ities to his life.
[3:17]You will see that at one point those who call themselves Shia,
[3:26]those who call themselves moin and followers of B doubted the Imam
[3:31]in his decision making in his stance to the point where some
[3:39]of the companions called him, oh that one that has disgraced the
[3:47]believers.
[3:46]This is the point that the Imam had to put up with.
[3:51]But when you look at this and the life of the Imam,
[3:57]you will see something very very important here that those who actually
[4:01]stood with the Imam and it was very few that stood with
[4:09]Hassam.
[4:07]They had true faith.
[4:10]They are the ones that no matter what befell upon them, they
[4:15]knew the meaning.
[4:16]When Im Hassan and IM Hussein were young child or children and
[4:23]the prophet would tell the people Hassan Hussein or that they are
[4:31]these beloved grandchildren of mine or my sons, they are imams whether
[4:38]they stand up fighting.
[4:38]Huh?
[4:39]like Imm Hussein or they stay pretty much in this way of
[4:47]treaty like IM Hassa.
[4:48]The fact is the only reason I'm speaking to you here is
[4:55]because Hassan Mushta people don't realize this because immedi has two narrations.
[5:02]He says, "Lola, what what what what im Hassam did is better
[5:06]than what the sun shines on on on a daily base." And
[5:11]then the Imam goes on to say that what I im Hassan
[5:15]Al Mushta did was better was the was the foundation that the
[5:22]Shia remained alive today.
[5:23]And subhan Allah, as you know, like with the imams, whenever the
[5:29]heat came, like there is now in the Middle East, people are
[5:32]doubting people, God forbid, even within our own community, why is this
[5:36]happening to us?
[5:39]Well, basically, that's another point that's only God knows.
[5:44]If you look at through history, do you think by following the
[5:49]truth, following the paths of the NB, following the paths of the
[5:53]imams, following the paths of the companions, do you think it was
[6:00]just a stroll in the park?
[5:59]The Quran says is do you think it's just that you want
[6:08]to enter heaven, you're not going to be tried like the people
[6:11]from before?
[6:15]All this fell upon them and they were shaken.
[6:19]But in the end they said matter.
[6:25]They said to the holy the holy prophet matter yes they have
[6:30]technology.
[6:30]They might have advanced more technology but we have Allah subhanahu wa
[6:36]ta'ala.
[6:35]We have there's an Imam that's watching us here now that we
[6:40]should turn to our connection to the Imam on a daily basis
[6:42]is very important.
[6:45]Yeah.
[6:46]This reminds me for most people to show you that we want
[6:52]to shine when it suits us.
[6:54]when everything is like this bright luminous day like Dorothy and the
[7:00]Wizard of Oz going with down with her on the yellow brick
[7:05]road think everything's nice and easily but it doesn't happen like that
[7:10]there's there's times where we have to go through this to show
[7:13]which one of us has really true faith there's more to your
[7:19]faith than something that was basically extrinsic this out outerly uh display
[7:25]of you.
[7:26]The intrinsic movement within your heart is what drives you to be
[7:31]a true faithful servant of God Almighty.
[7:34]And you understand this that when we connect especially to in this
[7:40]time to the imam of our time you know subhana I was
[7:43]asked once how can we know or how can we feel that
[7:47]connection with the imam of our time since we brought this up
[7:51]most of us know and then this really suits us sometimes that
[7:57]not every day is going to be a sunny day or bright
[8:01]day there's going to be loomy day luminous un luminous days dark
[8:06]days.
[8:05]But most of you are familiar with the sunflower and the special
[8:12]thing about the sunflower.
[8:12]I ask people, does a sunflower move when there's no sun?
[8:19]Anyone?
[8:21]No, it does move.
[8:24]It actually does move because it doesn't rely.
[8:27]Now, most people know most people will say no because it's called
[8:31]a sunflower.
[8:30]But you the the essence of a sunflower it it actually moves
[8:36]not on the brightness of the sun but the rays of sun.
[8:39]So something that we can't see.
[8:44]So part of this plant what it does of course as you
[8:48]know it waits for the sun to rise in the east with
[8:49]its face there and then it follows the sun.
[8:53]No matter if it's a sun day, a sunny day, or a
[8:57]gloomy day, it follows it all the way until the sun sets.
[9:01]And then the sunflower turns its face back to the east in
[9:06]anticipation.
[9:07]It knows that the sun's going to rise from that again.
[9:10]Now, what's that got to do with me and the connection of
[9:14]the Amarava time?
[9:14]everything you know from the mo from the day that or from
[9:19]the morning that I wake up for my morning prayers and connect
[9:25]before the sun comes up my connection to Allahha my connection to
[9:29]the imam is like this but during the day whether it be
[9:32]a sunny day whe it's a good day or when the sun
[9:39]is not shining I'm still I still have that connection to the
[9:44]sun or to me to Allah subhana tala.
[9:46]So no matter if it's gloomy and all through the day I'm
[9:52]connected to Allahh I'm thinking about the imam and when the end
[9:56]of the day comes and the sun sets again in anticipation I
[10:00]have that yearning for the sun to come up again or for
[10:04]me to have another chance to connect with the Imam of my
[10:07]time.
[10:07]So what this sunflower is teaching me that in sunny days and
[10:12]in good days I still have my connection.
[10:14]I still have this is what true faith is the the continuous
[10:18]connection that moves me on the inside.
[10:20]So you understand this that B like im Hassa like many of
[10:27]the imams they sacrificed so much for us and the reason that
[10:32]I can maintain my truth faith is because of everything that they
[10:36]have sacrificed everything that they gave us in order to move on
[10:40]in a world that they know there's tyranny there's know there's injustice
[10:43]there's know there's of course there's oppression.
[10:47]So you think about this, the greatest when the greatest creature on
[10:53]earth or the biggest creature on earth is about to die and
[10:58]that is of course the blue whale.
[10:59]What it does, it goes out and it leaves its family.
[11:04]It goes out into the middle of the ocean.
[11:06]It picks a place.
[11:08]It just senses it's going to die.
[11:10]And then when it dies, as you know, it starts to drop
[11:15]down to the bottom of the seafloor.
[11:17]as it's dying or as it's dead, it's eaten by sharks and
[11:21]eels and other creatures.
[11:25]But when it gets to the bottom of the floor, other parasites,
[11:28]worms, and these things called zombie worms, they eat the rest of
[11:33]the the whale.
[11:35]And then eventually, it takes close to about a hundred years for
[11:42]the whole whale to dissolve into the bed of the ocean.
[11:45]While it does that, in its process, it gives life to the
[11:49]plantation on the bottom of the ocean.
[11:54]It gives life to more than 43 species and over 12,000 organisms.
[11:58]Now, what's what's that got to do with the imam of our
[12:03]time or the imams?
[12:02]Pretty much like the whale, they died.
[12:06]But in their death, if this animal gave gives life to so
[12:11]many species and organisms and plantations, the imams did the same thing.
[12:17]Well, physically they're dead, but they gave us life.
[12:21]They told us what is the real meaning of our purpose on
[12:23]this earth.
[12:25]And just like the stars that sometimes even them themselves are clear
[12:34]meaning to us because some when we look into the stars at
[12:38]night do you know some of those stars they're already dead.
[12:41]They're thousands of light years away but they're dead but their light
[12:46]is still showing to us exactly how it is when it comes
[12:50]out our connection with.
[12:53]So when it comes to this process that Ahmed B has given
[13:00]us and told us emphasize on the and through the narration of
[13:04]course of the holy prophet of the Quran and of course their
[13:07]knowledge putting it together.
[13:10]They're your lifesaver in this world.
[13:13]They're the ones that hopefully will move that intrinsic movement within your
[13:17]heart, my brothers and sisters, that gives you true faith that you're
[13:22]able to tackle on the situations that you come across on a
[13:26]daily base and you don't have doubt.
[13:27]No matter if the whole of the world is against you, you
[13:34]know you you all have heard the saying that if you see
[13:37]all of mankind on or humanity on one side and you see
[13:42]for example the prophet said to to Abu Dar if you see
[13:44]Abu Talib by himself on that side know that he is with
[13:50]the truth.
[13:48]It's not about numbers.
[13:52]Look at your Quran.
[13:52]When has ever been about numbers?
[13:54]In fact, the Quran talks about that the majority are the oppressors.
[14:01]The majority are the hypocrites.
[14:03]The majority are the ones that are untruthful.
[14:05]But then he says, then it says, but hold on a sec
[14:14]that a small group that are truly connected to God Almighty will
[14:18]overcome that of a large group.
[14:21]This brings me to the story of Talut and Jalut.
[14:25]Most of you have probably read it in the Quran Saul or
[14:30]sometimes you sometimes we hear it in the English language David and
[14:36]Goliath.
[14:35]But to show you that sometimes how faith is tested in essence
[14:41]to see are you re are you really how is your connection
[14:48]closer to God or closer to the dunya.
[14:51]Each and every one of us knows our souls.
[14:54]Believe me, believe me, believe me.
[14:57]The only person that knows themselves better than than anyone else is
[15:02]you.
[15:03]If you're looking for the guilty one in terms of knowing the
[15:06]status of your faith or who you really are, look, all you
[15:08]need to do is look into a mirror.
[15:09]That's it.
[15:11]But in the story of Talut and Jal when first of all
[15:17]when God chooses a everyday farmer in God chose him.
[15:23]You know other people said but we have more wealth than him.
[15:26]You know like like the the world thinks now they have they
[15:28]have more money than us.
[15:31]They have more weapons than us.
[15:32]God chose him for a pro for a reason.
[15:35]He says that God I chose him.
[15:39]I gave him strength because we know the that's why we say
[15:43]strength is from God not from Benny Adam.
[15:48]So when he when we look at the story of Talut and
[15:54]Jalut when God picks Talut and they say to him that we
[15:59]have more money and you know we come from a more prestige
[16:01]family he says it doesn't matter there's something special about it anyway
[16:06]when they want to ben want to fight against Goliath to test
[16:14]him before they get to the main battle they come across cross
[16:21]a river or a pond.
[16:21]God tells tell the tell the people that whoever drinks from this
[16:29]water is not from us.
[16:33]Sorry.
[16:33]Whoever Yeah.
[16:35]Whoever drinks from this water is not from us.
[16:38]Whoever abstains himself from drinking the water is from us.
[16:41]And some people they might take a handful of water.
[16:45]And this handful of water is very important now to our story.
[16:49]So the ones that drank, you can imagine they're going to a
[16:53]war.
[16:54]They're in a desert, harsh conditions.
[16:56]They come across water.
[16:57]Water is halal.
[16:59]But that's not the point.
[16:59]God is saying at this point here, I don't want this halal
[17:02]thing.
[17:02]I don't want you to drink it.
[17:06]I want to test something within you.
[17:10]Are you focused on the greater goal?
[17:11]So what happens is the ones that drank basically were nearly more
[17:19]than half of the army they drank.
[17:21]Talut tells them to leave.
[17:26]That's it.
[17:24]Why?
[17:25]God has told me to.
[17:28]Others took a handful.
[17:30]As they went back to the as they go forth to the
[17:35]battlefield, they come this across this massive army of Jalut and he
[17:42]was big himself.
[17:44]He was like the mhab of that time.
[17:46]Everyone used to be scared and of course in the army was
[17:50]little little boy called Dood.
[17:51]And you know the story they eventually kills him with a slingshot.
[17:57]But before that, when those people that drank a handful of water,
[18:03]when they saw the army of Jalut, they panicked and they left.
[18:12]And the famous number that you're all familiar with remained with Talut.
[18:18]to 313 from 5,000 to 313 people remained with with and they
[18:28]said and their dua was oh God give us this patience and
[18:39]make us steadfast so we can beat the these people here.
[18:43]So why you're asking why did I emphasize on those people that
[18:49]had that bit of water?
[18:50]Because the connection to the dunya was still with them.
[18:54]That's why the whole purpose the filtration was God to see which
[19:01]one of you is still got that little bit of a connection
[19:03]you know to the worldly aspect of it.
[19:08]You're not willing yeah to give your life now no matter what
[19:13]no matter what comes in front of you.
[19:14]You're not you're you're willing to basically leave that personal things behind
[19:19]you and stand firm because they're a bigger cause.
[19:22]Not everyone is able to stand like this.
[19:25]It's very hard to detach himself from the ones that you love,
[19:31]the ones that you're connected with, and to stay firm after facing
[19:35]masses of, you know, of armies and enemies.
[19:40]But what happens is that you always in situation like this, the
[19:48]real inner person, the real inner being of you comes out.
[19:52]And as I started at the speech, when God says, If you
[19:59]look at this, it's a whole formula where God says, "Oh you
[20:05]who believe, have tawa, have this God conscience and be with those
[20:08]who are the of the truthful." Of course, if you look at
[20:12]the narrations of this, it's none other than it's none other than
[20:20]because they have always shown to us that no matter what force
[20:25]you are going to face or what uh difficulties that be with
[20:34]us, follow our footsteps.
[20:35]Know that God is with those who are with truthful.
[20:38]It's like sometimes those that are trying to cross a very dangerous
[20:46]you could say terrain is a very thin you say rope going
[20:53]from one place to another.
[20:54]You know there going across here you're going to be exposed to
[20:59]the wind conditions and other factors and the fear of falling.
[21:03]But that's how it is sometimes that when you go across this
[21:06]basically this rope of life there are instances where you can run
[21:14]across and instance you got to be very careful.
[21:15]You can look look at your conditions but because you're connected to
[21:21]something that is godly something that is divine you're able to have
[21:25]the confidence to get to the other end.
[21:27]And this brings me back to the question of tonight as well
[21:29]that true faith what true faith is because sometimes people this per
[21:36]kind of observation again that because I pray because I fast that
[21:44]I'm you know I'm pretty much on the road.
[21:47]Yes these are attributes of true faith but they're out outwardly factors
[21:52]because as the hadith says the the or the you know the
[22:02]obedience to God isn't abundance of prayers and fasting.
[22:07]He says but it is the fact the the abundance of to
[22:14]think of what God wants you to do in this place to
[22:18]connect to God Almighty.
[22:21]I remember a story to show you sometimes how faith works as
[22:28]well that it said that one of since I bought the the
[22:30]factor about crossing the rope.
[22:34]A person came to one of the towns and he was one
[22:39]of those people that the tight rope persons that do they go
[22:46]from one beetle to another when they put a rope there and
[22:48]they got their balancing stick and they go from one point to
[22:52]another and people are there watching in anticipation you know scared back
[22:57]then there's no nets.
[22:58]So he, this person went up and the town's watching him and
[23:03]he slowly slowly goes from one point to the other and he's
[23:05]balancing in times looks like he's going to fall.
[23:08]And then to make it more exciting, he calls a young child,
[23:14]you know, from the crowd.
[23:17]And before he tells him what's going on, he says to him,
[23:20]he looked at the crowd, you know, they're all happy.
[23:24]They're all cheering.
[23:26]And they said to him, he said to them, "Do you think
[23:31]I can bring this child on my shoulders and bring him across
[23:34]this rope?" They said after we saw you, yeah, we have confidence.
[23:38]He said, let you know as well that this child is my
[23:45]son.
[23:44]That's how much confidence I have.
[23:46]Said, wow, your son, you're willing to put your son at risk?
[23:49]Said, yeah.
[23:51]Anyway, he goes across the rope slowly, slowly with his son on
[23:56]his shoulders.
[23:56]And then he gets to finally gets to the other side.
[24:00]The crowd's cheering, the crowd's happy.
[24:02]Now he comes down and he said to him, "After you saw
[24:08]me cross it once, after you saw me cross it with my
[24:09]child, will you will you be willing to give me one of
[24:18]your children to do the same?" And the the whole crowd went
[24:26]silence.
[24:24]The whole crowd went silence.
[24:27]And I said, "What's this got to do with true faith?
[24:30]You'll see that there were people in this world especially like the
[24:34]imams and the and the prophets they treaded across this difficult situation
[24:41]from their life to their martyrdom in most cases and in most
[24:47]cases it was sometimes by themselves and other times they had their
[24:51]children and family with them and we believed in this didn't we
[24:57]not without even seeing them without even like having this physical conction
[25:00]ction.
[25:00]We believed in it.
[25:02]We heard the stories of the sacrifices of what they did.
[25:04]Yet when it when it came to our faith now, when we're
[25:09]told to put in the same situation, we say it doesn't fit
[25:11]me.
[25:13]Hhabib, you said that you were on faith.
[25:15]You believed it.
[25:18]You said that.
[25:19]So how is it that you you connect to individuals of this
[25:24]yet you still have this you know doubt where where the the
[25:29]Quran says but I am not shocked about these people because the
[25:33]Quran says there are people that worship God as if they're walking
[25:40]on an edge when everything is going their own way.
[25:43]They're happy.
[25:45]Then when God puts them through a fitna and you know the
[25:52]word fitna where it comes from don't you fat basically it's the
[25:56]when you I think I might have mentioned before just since I
[25:58]bring it up it's basically when you get gold and you heat
[26:03]it up and the and the purity of the gold stays and
[26:08]then the impur the impurities are of the above and they're removed.
[26:11]So when God says when I put them through a fitna they
[26:14]fall flat on their face and this is the greatest of so
[26:22]when we look at this when we look at the life of
[26:26]Hassam in order to program ourselves to that of true faith my
[26:33]brothers and sisters God has given us something out of his mercy
[26:39]and it's called the hakal the intellect.
[26:43]And why I chose this because the hadith says that God has
[26:51]not been worshiped with something greater than the and to show you
[26:58]the greatness of Hass.
[26:59]Listen to this.
[27:02]After I told you this narration, the holy prophet has said If
[27:14]the hak was in fact a person in human manifestation, it would
[27:20]be none other than Im Hassan Mushta.
[27:22]Do you know why he said this?
[27:26]Because it's like it's like the prophet was telling people, I know
[27:29]what's going to be about IM Hassan.
[27:31]I know there are people in the that say that they follow
[27:33]Imam Hassan in the future.
[27:36]They're going to doubt his decision.
[27:38]Habibi the does not make mistakes.
[27:43]True because the imaff was asked about the hakal and he said
[27:47]the hakal is what god is attained with what true faith is
[27:54]attained with through the hakal and what paradise is is is basically
[27:56]gifted to.
[27:58]So one person jumps up jumps up and said then what did
[28:01]mahawya have?
[28:04]He says this was cunniness and evenness.
[28:07]He says it's a resemblance of the but it's not because true
[28:17]intellect true intellect forget about you know all the other stuff that
[28:22]you go into your minds that true intellect was given to you
[28:26]by by God Almighty to differentiate between what is huck and what
[28:30]is b.
[28:31]God gave you two gave two types of proof.
[28:34]He gave you that of the outside proofs, the anat the imams
[28:36]and he gave you the inner proof and that is your haken.
[28:41]And God himself said that when he created the hak he told
[28:47]it to come forward it came forward.
[28:51]He told to go back it gave back.
[28:51]Then God says And then God saying that there's in my all
[29:06]my greatness and power I've not created something more powerful than the
[29:10]hak and more beloved to me than the hak.
[29:13]And then all of a sudden you got the prophet say that
[29:17]if there's anyone that's going to repres represent the hakal in this
[29:21]world it's the hassan.
[29:23]So what if you link everything together you'll find that god almighty
[29:27]is saying that the most beloved thing to me that I've created
[29:30]is the hakal and the representative of this hakal is none other
[29:34]than hassan ibali.
[29:35]So every decision he makes, he's the walk in Hak when people
[29:41]doubted him that he made the treaty with the cursed Mahawia.
[29:46]These people didn't understand who Hassan was.
[29:50]Yeah, it's it's it's funny that the not funny in when we
[29:55]look back in history that when it was okay for the holy
[29:57]prophet to do a the with but then when Imam Hassan makes
[30:07]a treaty with so-called Muslims pretending Muslims then everyone you know pretty
[30:11]there's an uproar.
[30:13]This is someone that was created from the light of God Almighty
[30:18]on this day when we remember his birth.
[30:20]Do you know when when God created the is because there that
[30:29]light is the purity of pure truthfulness pure faith in purity in
[30:34]all its essence because the actual light came straight from God.
[30:39]When God, the holy prophet has a narration when he told Ferris
[30:43]how everything was created and we we mention Hassan Mush in this
[30:46]one he says when God took his light the God the light
[30:52]of God and then he split it.
[30:54]So and he goes he created me and from my light the
[31:01]prophet says he created the harsh.
[31:02]So the the throne of God almighty is from the light of
[31:07]the holy prophet and the light of the holy prophet is from
[31:10]the light of God.
[31:13]And then he says the holy prophet is greater than the harsh.
[31:16]Then he says the holy prophet said then he took the light
[31:22]of my brother and he split it from the light of god
[31:26]and he created the angels.
[31:30]So the angels are from the light of Abalib is from the
[31:35]light of God and of is great.
[31:45]Then he took the light of Fatima Zahar and that's why one
[31:52]of the narrations says that she's known as the Zahar, the illuminous
[31:54]one and from her light he created the heavens and the earth.
[32:00]So the heavens and the earth are from the light of Fatima
[32:06]and the Fatima is from the light of God and Fatima is
[32:09]then he took the light of our beloved Hassan Im Hassa and
[32:15]he created the sun and the moon.
[32:18]So in IM Hassan Alisam's the light of Imam Hassan is what
[32:24]created the sun and the moon and from the sun and the
[32:29]moon.
[32:26]The the light is from God.
[32:31]Imam Hassan Alisam's light is from the light of God and im
[32:33]Hassan is greater than the sun and the moon.
[32:35]And then of course since we brought this up then he took
[32:40]the light of Im Hussein and he created the heaven and and
[32:45]I im Hussein of course said they're from the light of im
[32:51]Hussein.
[32:52]Im Hussein is from the light of God and im Hussein Abdal
[32:54]then greater than the heavens and Huri.
[32:57]But I'm saying that this im Hassa before he even to show
[33:03]you the greatness of who he was and the connection to the
[33:05]heavens even when one of the companions sees that that the holy
[33:11]prophet is playing with Al Hassan Hussein and he says to him
[33:17]do you love himoolah he goes I've love him these are my
[33:21]my my children and the children of my beloved daughter and the
[33:24]children of my was and my naps and my leader and my
[33:28]khalif And he tells him, he goes, "Do you know the greatness
[33:29]of who these people are?" And the prophet says, "Let me explain
[33:33]to you a story now." He goes when I was taken to
[33:35]the al maharaj I was taken to a certain the one one
[33:42]of the highest levels in heaven where it I can't tell you
[33:45]because as you know no eye has ever seen no ears have
[33:50]ever hear no no nose will ever smell the greatness of how
[33:53]much you can ponder or reflect on the greatness of what the
[34:00]what heaven waits for anyway he goes once he goes to heaven
[34:02]And he goes, "Jiba took me to a place and I saw
[34:07]this beautiful looking tree.
[34:07]Just the the picture like the what was in front of me
[34:12]fascinated.
[34:13]I was mesmerized by it.
[34:14]What captured me was its smell." And then Juba goes, "You think
[34:17]if you think it smell is good, go and eat from its
[34:21]fruit." So the prophet goes, I ate from the fruit.
[34:24]He goes, I was so surprised.
[34:26]Like it never in my life I've tasted like this.
[34:29]Then he took him to another tree that was similar to it.
[34:32]same in appearance and the same fruit.
[34:36]So then Gibbra tells the prophet, "Do you know what these two
[34:43]trees are?" And the holy prophet says, "No." He says, "The first
[34:46]one you ate from is called the tree of Al Hassan and
[34:52]the second one is the tree of Al Hussein." And then so
[34:54]then he then he tells him because we have the narrations that
[34:58]you eat this and you go to Khadijah and then the the
[35:01]story of how was was created.
[35:09]But then why we hear the narrations sometimes als the this beautiful
[35:21]fragrance flowers of the holy prophet because tells him that when they
[35:27]were born he goes every time you oh every time you yearn
[35:32]for those two trees in heaven go and smell Hassan and go
[35:35]and smell Hussein.
[35:37]This is the beauty of who we follow.
[35:39]This is the beauty of the B.
[35:43]They said that when we look at this beautiful imam that's born
[35:48]on a pretty much similar day like this on the 15th of
[35:54]Ramadan in the third year ah of Alhra.
[35:57]You know the the the first delight and the first offspring of
[36:02]the holy prophet delighted to see such a grandson that he knew
[36:08]that will be have the uphold resemblance and the hadith says that
[36:12]Imam Hassan al- Mushta was the greatest in appearance to the holy
[36:16]prophet and then we look at the way I im hassa lived
[36:21]and in this short period of time I can't cover everything but
[36:26]I'm saying that when we think about Hassa the first thing we
[36:29]comes to our mind is yes he was generous but on top
[36:36]of all this IM Hassa was also at that stage the bravest
[36:41]of B after his holy prophet after holy prophet and after of
[36:45]course his father IM Ali Alisam you know the famous story in
[36:48]the battle of Jamal when it was just basically to the point
[36:53]where no one could advance even Even Muhammad Hanafi couldn't go forward
[36:58]because the amount of people that were protecting you know the general
[37:03]that was on the camel and then of course im Ali calls
[37:10]Al Hassan Al Hassan like his father you know when I alam
[37:16]describes Hassan he says to him he goes I saw saw part
[37:28]of you but in fact I saw all of you.
[37:31]So when we look at Muhammad, so he he tells him he
[37:45]tells imam goes I don't see part of you I see all
[37:49]of you oh Hassan.
[37:50]So when we look at this you'll find that im Hassam yes
[37:55]but he was also the strongest and the most willing and the
[38:03]most beneficial IM after IM because you know that when it comes
[38:05]to Im there's no age limit and even to show you the
[38:11]greatness of IM Hassa on the day of Kbalah even though this
[38:14]is a a happy occasion even though what's going on in the
[38:23]world when IM Hussein stands there he says he says im Hussein
[38:28]is telling the people when he when he's introducing his lineage he's
[38:32]saying that is Hassan Im Hassan is is greater than me and
[38:40]you got to remember from 40 ah to about about the 10
[38:45]years that Im Hassan was the Imam Imam Hussein would sit like
[38:51]you see here in the crowd and listen to Imam Hassan.
[38:55]He would not even lift up his voice over Imam Hassan.
[38:57]That was his Imam even though he was his brother to show
[39:04]you the greatness of who I hass.
[39:05]So when you look at this when the holy prophet go back
[39:10]into that narration what I said that means everything that im Hass
[39:20]did is through the intellect IM says in another hadith you can't
[39:29]have and your ego is joined together one has to rule the
[39:34]other and that that's that's That's the difference.
[39:36]What makes true faith in your body?
[39:40]You have this always this power that's that's fighting the of the
[39:46]power of the the power of the the you know your desires
[39:50]and the power and the these these are all fighting.
[39:54]When the when the hakal rules over everything then you can get
[39:58]to the stage of true im.
[39:58]Then you don't do what pleases you.
[40:01]You do what pleases God Almighty.
[40:04]You can't mix oil and water.
[40:09]It's impossible.
[40:07]Purity and the oil doesn't mix.
[40:10]The the oil stays on top.
[40:15]It covers what the purity is on top on the bottom.
[40:16]And this is how a person thinks when he comes that everything
[40:21]he does, he does it through his intellect.
[40:24]And I said to you, we were using the the saying before,
[40:27]you know, fools rash where angels fear the everything that you do
[40:31]is through your and to imp program the god has to what
[40:40]finishes the formula.
[40:39]He say how do you program your you go back to they
[40:48]program they're truthful they're showing you how to use this intellect.
[40:52]So to finish this speech off to show you how sometimes a
[40:57]person sometimes you got to sit back and think like when you
[41:05]when you sit down and you think then you can see clearly
[41:09]of how I'm going.
[41:09]Am I doing it for the sake of God almighty?
[41:12]Am I doing it for my naps?
[41:13]You know it was said that once back then when they still
[41:20]do they cut trees down with axes.
[41:22]There was two friends that used to go on a daily base
[41:28]to cut the trees down.
[41:30]And when they would cut the trees down, the first friend of
[41:38]his would cut cut and then basically cut let's say 10 trees
[41:43]in that day.
[41:47]His other friend would cut pretty much say 15 trees there.
[41:50]But yet at the same time while the while he was cutting
[41:54]he wouldn't the other person would not would take a break.
[41:57]The other person would go away for about 20 30 minutes or
[41:59]so and come back.
[42:02]Say he went away.
[42:04]He thought this guy's going to eat to rest.
[42:07]I'll cut in that time.
[42:07]I can cut down a few more trees.
[42:09]Anyway, he comes back.
[42:13]He finds his friend is tired and he goes back to work
[42:17]and he he cuts more trees than the other person.
[42:19]the first day, the second day, the third day, the he's the
[42:21]other person, he the amount of trees that he's cutting is becoming
[42:25]less and less and less.
[42:26]The other ones becoming more and more and more.
[42:29]He goes, "I don't understand this.
[42:31]You take breaks.
[42:31]You go away for a while and you come back and you're
[42:36]still cutting more trees than I am." How is that?
[42:39]So, so the person, his friend goes to him, looks at him,
[42:43]he says, "When's the last time you sharpened your axe?
[42:48]He said, then he goes, you're you're you're basically trying to cut
[42:54]a tree with a blunt axe.
[42:55]I go away.
[42:57]I think I use my huck.
[42:58]I know that this is God's given me the ka, but also
[43:02]he's given me the ability to think of the of the way
[43:06]I should approach something in a smart way, in a logical way.
[43:09]And that's what happens to us when the person his iman becomes
[43:12]higher.
[43:12]This is how he thinks before he goes to do every action.
[43:17]or why he's doing action how can I do this better and
[43:20]that's why when the hakal rules your body that basically it controls
[43:31]everything so when we look at this im the have said in
[43:38]that verse be with the truthful look at the lives of Hassa
[43:43]look at what they went through many times times they were left
[43:49]alone.
[43:47]But I know if I have true faith of what God has
[43:51]given me and through the stories of what befell upon the prophets
[43:57]and what I gave you today, then that is hope hopefully enough
[44:00]uh to always take you from that sense of doubt to the
[44:04]sense of y and that is the final chapter of what we
[44:09]are trying to get to because all of us alhamdulillah we're Muslims
[44:12]but then the hadith says Islam which we've been talking about last
[44:19]couple of days is tawa and tawa is certainty.
[44:25]So it's a stepbystep process and the only way you do this
[44:29]is by learning from the stories of by attending centers by attending
[44:37]the mosques by by speaking to people that activate this of yours
[44:40]to show you that it's worth something.
[44:44]It's something that's God has said that it's this great weapon that
[44:48]I've given to you that when Aub was tested when Aub was
[44:52]tested the last point sorry the was you know when Aub was
[44:56]tested and you all know the story of prophet Aub when he
[44:58]was tested his family was taken away the his wealth was taken
[45:05]away God said or God said to the devil because the devil
[45:08]wanted power over everything he has I'll give you power over everything
[45:10]to Aub except two the leis his tongue and his hak because
[45:18]if I give you power over the hak the true hak then
[45:23]that's that's injustice to benny Adam that's his last resort of basically
[45:31]fighting or knowing this is what what what how powerful it is
[45:36]when it comes to that of the we ask Allahh firstly to
[45:41]hasten for repentance of Hisam.
[45:42]We ask Allahh that he does not take us out of this
[45:47]world except that he's pleased with us.
[45:48]We ask Allahh to give mercy upon our loved ones that passed
[45:52]away to look after and to give a man to the of
[45:58]the Shia of this world and give inshallah we ask Allahh they
[46:03]give Alhamdulillah.
