[0:00]the last two days we discussed some of God's wonderful promises and

[0:06]their many more promises that allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala has for believers and

[0:12]those believe those promises brothers and sisters are not limited to the

[0:17]next world that allows promises are only for instance paradise rather the

[0:22]promises are such that they give you hope they give you strength

[0:25]and they turn the mote monohr mote mina into a powerhouse those

[0:28]promises of allah but what I promised brothers and sisters was the

[0:34]idea that first let's talk about the conditions those promises are for

[0:39]believers who is a believer of in according to Islam according to

[0:43]Islam are we considered movement in or now you want to find

[0:49]that out tonight and insha'Allah if there are areas of growth and

[0:52]we definitely have to take these ayat of the Quran very seriously

[0:54]and inshallah better ourselves so that we can benefit from those promises

[0:59]of God and experience God's best in this world and then inshallah

[1:11]brothers sisters as you've noticed I like to share the ayat of

[1:16]the Quran meaning to give the references to brothers and sisters so

[1:20]they can share them with other believers later on what happens is

[1:26]brother and sisters don't only limit this discussion to other believers there

[1:31]are sometimes non-muslims who have not been exposed to Islam as taught

[1:35]to us by Arnold bait it's good for them also to know

[1:40]what the definition of faith is in Islam it's a little different

[2:26]you should accept this is what God said and the people would

[2:33]say our forefathers used to do XYZ what is Islam say about

[2:36]the idea of blindly following one's forefathers because there's no double standards

[2:42]in Islam so this one sir brothers and sisters is surah 5

[4:20]true that's actually not acceptable we have to be personally convinced on

[4:24]the last day when we're in the grave we have to say

[4:28]the reason I accepted Islam is because I knew God was true

[4:33]he existed I knew the Prophet was his messenger I was convinced

[4:45]and I knew I can't unknown the truth it doesn't even matter

[7:48]that in Islam the idea that the reason I'm practicing that that's

[7:52]correct that's what God wants to see am i intellectually convinced also

[7:58]keep this in mind sometimes when those who are outside of Islam

[8:04]the reason that they reject the faith is that what they've been

[8:07]exposed to is modern day Christianity they haven't been exposed to slow

[8:12]religion for them what they see mainstream media how they've grown up

[8:18]in the churches is modern day Christianity they haven't been exposed to

[8:23]Islam so now you and I take a step back from Islam

[8:25]that you and I have embraced and think about it if I

[8:30]was a reasonable person a reasonable person I'm intellectually I'm there and

[8:36]I see that religion conflicts with the intellect conflicts there are things

[8:43]in the Bible it just doesn't make sense how can God be

[8:47]three and be one it doesn't if Jesus is God and who

[8:52]was he praying to these are questions that you come on so

[8:56]what happens is if you were a reasonable person and I'm seeing

[9:00]religion is doing this I'm also seeing that religion conflicts with science

[9:05]that science is one thing facts what's in front of me and

[9:14]the religions telling me to believe something else or if I see

[9:16]that religion actually it's not dealing with social issues it can't provide

[9:23]me solutions I'm going through issues people have mental health issues but

[9:26]let's say religion couldn't provide me with those answers it's not solving

[9:32]my social problems it doesn't have a way of governing society and

[9:36]the person seeing this they see that religion actually doesn't stand up

[9:41]to bullies that tyrants actually feel comfortable sitting down with religious leaders

[9:48]and getting advice from them then a reasonable person will be like

[9:52]how can that be Dean how can that be as be right

[9:57]it's LA and you and I what we tell them is that

[10:01]yes if that what you've been exposed to if religion has been

[10:05]one that cooperates with tyrants doesn't stand for the oppressed doesn't tackle

[10:43]verse of the Quran this is surah 57 and verse number 25

[12:28]religion that you and I am intellectually committed convicted that or have

[12:34]intellectual conviction that Islam is the truth does that mean that every

[12:37]single thing that someone does meaning every question that's ever posed to

[12:41]religion I will automatically know what the answer is and the answer

[12:46]is no sometimes somebody might pose a question you and I haven't

[12:49]been prepared for that we may have to go back later and

[12:54]get answers from experts that's a reality we're not denying that sometimes

[12:58]it happens somebody asks you a question you're not prepared for it

[13:01]you have to get an answer from experts I'll give you an

[13:03]example another story that's not true they said once this lady she

[13:07]was sitting on an airplane when she was sitting on the airplane

[13:10]she's reading the Quran and so what happened was this guy came

[13:13]over and he said what's that book you're reading she says the

[13:16]Quran he said do you believe everything that's in there why not

[13:21]horse I believe it it's the four ah he said what about

[13:25]that story about the man who got swallowed by a whale she

[13:28]said you mean prophet yunus yeah I believe that too it's the

[13:33]Quran why wouldn't I believe it he said well then tell me

[13:39]this how did he survive in that well how'd she survive the

[13:43]lady thought about it for a second thought about for a second

[13:48]she said I don't know when I go to heaven I'll have

[13:50]to ax him he said what if he's not in heaven she

[13:55]said within you have taxa it might be the case somebody who

[13:58]asks a question I'm not prepared for it doesn't mean I don't

[14:03]have intellectual conviction the basis of the religion that is rock-solid for

[14:16]condition number two just intellectual conviction and knowing that Islam is the

[14:24]truth is that enough for us to be considered what meaning that

[14:27]I know 100 percent Islam as the truth is that enough for

[14:34]me to be considered among men in Islam again the answer is

[14:37]no it's more than that there are other conditions otherwise if that

[14:43]was a condition what about Shaitaan in the Quran in the Quran

[15:09]was sure it was God he was talking to he said reluctantly

[15:18]we don't consider Shaitaan to be a moment even though he had

[15:20]intellectual conviction the reason is just having intellectual conviction is not enough

[15:29]this is very important in Islam it's not just mental acrobat being

[15:40]there's more that's required in order for you and I to be

[15:43]considered a moment this is also something we want to share even

[15:45]with non-muslims for us as believers faith is never something that's just

[16:31]order for you and I to be considered true believers according to

[16:36]Quran it's gonna have to show up on my actions my actions

[16:38]have to reflect this and the aldol debate they had to work

[16:45]to work to break this mentality and the hearts and minds of

[22:55]question is it enough that I have intellectual conviction and when it

[24:28]course of history people who would pick and choose when it came

[24:32]to the religion their favorite parts of the religion they would do

[24:36]but then the other parts of the religion that were difficult but

[24:40]it's still from the same source God said both sides the person

[24:44]would go over and they would not do the other part of

[24:47]the religion what happens is you'll see from the ayat of the

[24:53]Quran God would call them out it wouldn't be the case that

[24:55]someone would go over and one part of Islam Allah Akhbar whatever

[24:58]Allah says we have to do this and then now another party

[25:02]stood from the same book God said it if you have intellectual

[25:05]conviction it should be enough once God spoke in and the person

[25:08]would say no I don't like that part of Islam Islam is

[25:23]this the Quran tells us a story this is surah Baqarah verses

[26:22]so God calls them out why would you go over and pick
