[2:04]in the honor of husin when we look at the lives of

[2:21]every Prophet every messenger every Imam we see that they all had

[2:27]certain specific objectives that they must reach they all had objectives that

[2:32]they had to fulfill all of them had slightly different objectives or

[2:36]the way that they reached that objective but they all had one

[2:41]main goal which is that they teach the religion of Allah that

[2:47]they teach the Shar of Allah that they purify the inner self

[2:56]of the people and for them to bring people closer to Allah

[3:01]subhana so that they worship him and so people know who the

[3:05]prophet is who the messenger is and who the Imam is and

[3:08]which book that we need to follow now they had the different

[3:13]objectives that they needed to reach but they there is a very

[3:19]specific narrations found within our Hadith CPUs that we see that it's

[3:29]mentioned that the messenger of Allah one time jbra came to him

[3:33]and jbra came with certain Scrolls 12 of them and it was

[3:41]told to the messenger of Allah that you will give these Scrolls

[3:45]to each Imam after you of course the first being now when

[4:30]wordings and so when they are narrating these different wordings um we

[4:35]can kind of conclude it gives it strength to the reports that

[4:39]are not so reliable and this report that I'm narrating is not

[4:42]reliable in the sense of the rali standards but it will be

[4:49]considered or have strength because of the other that is found within

[4:53]our books but I'll get to when Imam Al Hussein opened up

[4:59]his will so it says then alassan opened the second seal and

[5:01]followed the Commandments and instructions when alassan passed away then Al Hussein

[5:08]opened the third seal as he is the third Imam and found

[5:15]therein instructions to fight to do away with the Enemy and be

[5:19]murdered and rise up with a group of people for martydom there

[5:26]will be no martyrdom for them except with you so the will

[5:33]is saying these individuals the companions of IM Hussein will not have

[5:39]martydom except with you they have to be with [Music] you so

[5:45]what what am I trying to get to IM Hussein had a

[5:51]objective there was a reason why he rose up there is a

[5:57]reason why he made this movement this stance of his because what

[6:01]we are seeing in the Shia Community we have tried to sell

[6:08]it to the West the story of Imam Hussein The Stance of

[6:11]Imam Hussein in a way that befits their mindset and sometimes when

[6:19]you want to teach a non-muslim something you don't have to be

[6:23]super direct he's a non-muslim so you're not going to speak to

[6:25]him as if he's a Muslim or he's a Shia but but

[6:29]what we have done is is we have made it as if

[6:34]it's you know there's a Superhero fighting a villain this isn't the

[6:39]case IM Hussein didn't fight against yazid or reject the to yazid

[6:44]solely based upon that yazid was a tyrant that's one of the

[6:52]reasons and we could even say it's the secondary reason Imam Hussein's

[6:57]movement and stance began he made the movement begin because what happened

[7:05]by the time IM Hussein became the Imam is that the people

[7:10]started to see truth as B and B as truth everything changed

[7:18]by that time so IM Hussein knew because of this will because

[7:24]of what told him and because of what his father told him

[7:32]that you have to you will go to a land named carbal

[7:37]and you will die there and you will be slaughtered your children

[7:42]will be slaughtered and you have to accept it and be patient

[7:47]and we see this throughout the Journey of Imam and Hussein but

[7:50]the there are three main questions we want to answer in this

[7:54]lecture one what is the University of Imam Hussein what is this

[8:01]madus two how do you enter the University of IM Hussein three

[8:10]how do you graduate from the University of Imam Hussein and look

[8:16]every Prophet every messenger is a university within themselves and the 12

[8:24]imams are all gateways to they are all universities we have to

[8:29]get the stamp approval from them before we can get to the

[8:39]University of so these three main questions I will answer inshallah within

[8:43]this lecture when we look at IM Hussein and the movement we

[8:52]have to start to investigate what was the purpose of this movement

[8:56]what is the stance of Hussein was it just that yazid is

[9:02]a tyrant and he needed to stand up to him there was

[9:04]tyrants before him mua is probably worse than yaid because he's the

[9:14]one that established the rulership of yazid and the cffs that came

[9:20]before him it's not that it's not like they were any good

[9:24]so The Stance of Hussein was very particular compared to the other

[9:31]imams I remember a few days ago I was doing a bit

[9:33]of a read regarding um a fourth Century third fourth Century scholar

[9:40]this personality he's basically ref trying to prove the and so on

[9:46]but he gets to a part where he starts to talk about

[9:47]what every Imam did and the results they were trying to achieve

[9:53]and he goes to speak about Imam Hussein is very different to

[9:56]what and so on and what their object was IM Hussein was

[10:02]very particular you have to go to a land called carala and

[10:07]with your death Everything Will Change because with that you will shake

[10:12]the Empire the dynasty the government the rulership of these tyrants and

[10:19]that's exactly what he done we see there's a letter and this

[10:23]will answer again the three questions that I spoke about there's a

[10:29]a letter by Imam Hussein that he writes for the people of

[10:32]kufa sorry the people of Basra my bad so the people of

[10:38]Basra we see that he was trying to call them to this

[10:42]movement look what he says and the letter is found in the

[10:51]book of the second century scholar m al or has a it's

[10:58]a long is somewhat of a long letter I will only read

[11:01]the part that I want he says I send you my messenger

[11:10]with this letter I invite you to the book of God and

[11:14]the Sunnah of his Prophet the sunah has surely died as Innovations

[11:27]become alive I want you to ponder on these words the Sunnah

[11:33]has surely died as Innovations become alive now don't get me wrong

[11:44]for sure IM Hussein did begin this movement because yazid was a

[11:50]tyrant but that is the secondary there was something bigger than that

[11:54]and he tells us here if you listen to me and obey

[11:58]me I will guide you to the right path may God's peace

[12:00]and mercy be with you so what we get from this letter

[12:08]is that Imam Hussein is inviting people to the book of Allah

[12:17]and the Sunnah of the messenger of Allah and he wants to

[12:21]revive the Sunnah of because Innovations have become alive within the Muslim

[12:29]Community so you want to know what is the University of Hussein

[12:38]the University of Hussein is the Quran and Sunnah the University of

[12:50]Hussein is that you have you obey Allah in everything possible because

[12:56]what's happened in our community and I'm talking from firstand experience there

[13:01]is this thing now where they say he was a servant of

[13:08]Hussein and listen I'm not saying we have to be perfect because

[13:14]we're not I'm surely not perfect for sure but there's this thing

[13:18]now where it's okay you always see him helping out giving out

[13:25]food putting the shoes organizing beautiful wheel Allah will reward him for

[13:31]it he's the loudest when he's crying the front when he's doing

[13:35]L but does he know anything about the Quran and Sunnah does

[13:41]he know anything about the of Ali muhamad because it's not good

[13:45]enough and we're not moving forward with this perception or this idea

[13:51]that okay he grew up doing this it's not good enough that

[13:58]we have just become no knowledge we're not even trying to seek

[14:03]knowledge this is a problem and the same goes to this sacred

[14:09]blessed Pulpit of that when we sit on the pulpit of we

[14:19]have to we have to make sure we do not invite just

[14:22]anyone someone that doesn't have the correct knowledge you know sometimes you

[14:28]see a speaker will sit on the pulpit of he can't even

[14:33]tell you if a Hadith is reliable or not he can't even

[14:38]tell you if this understanding of the quranic verse is correct or

[14:41]not but he's just telling you stories dreams stories of this dream

[14:49]that a scholar had enough the pulpit of the movement of abdah

[14:55]Hussein is the movement of the Quran and Sunnah and that we

[14:59]revive the Quran Quran and Sunnah and that we K off the

[15:04]Innovations that's happening in the Muslim Community and especially in the sh

[15:08]community that is the movement of ab abdah in another letter that

[15:13]he wrote to his brother Muhammad and listen to this letter what

[15:18]he says it's found in some of the books of History he

[15:22]goes this movement of mine is not an account of stubbornness Rebellion

[15:26]or corruption or to be oppressive I have risen up seeking to

[15:31]reform the Affairs of the nation of my grandfather it's not enough

[15:40]we shouldn't just come and [Music] become click the button on click

[15:48]the button off I have seen not one but many they are

[15:56]at the Forefront of L and crying go and look at their

[16:02]weddings Haram you think it's you're sitting in the middle of a

[16:09]disco Haram and you want to be called impossible because will not

[17:12]grandfather I attend I intend to enjoin to what is good and

[17:20]forbid what is evil we have become scared to sit on the

[17:27]pulpit of and talk about the sins that are being committed in

[17:34]our communities we are scared to talk about wrong hijab we are

[17:39]scared to talk about the sins and people that are doing weddings

[17:43]and inviting them to these Haram weddings we don't have them things

[17:49]does not do these things simple as that he turns on Shia

[17:56]mode in Mam and turns off when he finished I'm sorry and

[17:59]some of them they'll stay a bit longer to not good enough

[18:04]in any shape or form we are sh every day every day

[18:09]you wake up and you say alhamdulillah I am from the sh

[18:17]of abdah and being a of abdah we follow the footsteps of

[18:21]ab abdah he continues and he says and follow the tradition of

[18:29]my grandfather and my my father alib Talib do you know why

[18:34]he had to mention alib ABI Talib the people of sham there's

[18:40]some reports that says when was killed in Salah and he prayed

[18:48]they saw truth as B and B as truth so he had

[18:56]to mention alali because there is only one gate that goes towards

[19:01]and that [Music] is so you want to [Music] know the University

[19:17]of Hussein this is it the Quran andah the sh do not

[19:21]come into mam my brothers do not come into mam with the

[19:44]you enter the University of Hussein is it just crying is it

[20:06]one of the ways to enter it but the true way to

[20:11]enter and there is two gates to it they are Gates that

[20:13]are connected one cannot open without the other and I'll tell you

[20:23]what it is in a Hadith attributed to IM he says [Music]

[20:35]whoever entered this religion by men will leave this religion by men

[20:43]as he has entered [Music] it and whoever enters this religion by

[20:59]the and the of the mountains will move before he does so

[21:11]the entry the gateway to the University of Hussein is knowing the

[21:18]Quran Quran theah and the Islamic sciences and knowing the of the

[21:27]do you not sit here and be proud of your child just

[21:32]based upon please listen to me carefully just based upon oh he's

[21:36]doing lot at the Forefront and I'm taking pictures of him do

[21:40]not be proud no problem but we are saying that once you

[21:48]do that and it's just that it's a problem let me show

[21:55]you this Hadith again attributed to Imad he says you should hasten

[22:00]to teach to your children before the do it so he's saying

[22:09]you should hasten to teach your children the [Music] of before do

[22:24]it m is a deviant sect and so Imam Assad is Hasting

[22:30]towards it Hasting teach your children the of you don't want to

[22:41]be like some of the they say that when im comes out

[22:47]and goes to KU they go go back oh son of fa

[22:53]why cuz they didn't know the true Imam or they did know

[22:59]but their heart wasn't filled the true of the Im so IM

[23:06]is telling us teach our children Hadith it's not just Quran Hadith

[23:12]if your son or your child can name you the the 11

[23:18]players of England but can't name the 12 [Music] imams you have

[23:23]a major problem and you have failed you have failed I'm sorry

[23:31]to say that to you you have failed by doing so in

[23:34]another Hadith found in the books of from IM Saad he says

[23:41]we used to learn about the maazi and S so the campaigns

[23:44]and Expeditions of the Prophet s is from me just as we

[23:52]learned a Surah from the [Music] Quran some of us are 20

[24:01]30 40 50 60 and we don't even know anything about the

[24:11]of IM is saying we used to teach the of as we

[24:15]are teaching the same as we are teaching the Quran the chapters

[24:20]of the [Music] Quran what has gone wrong 20 30 40 we

[24:26]don't even know one book about the SE of to how long

[24:33]are we going to continue living in this way don't know a

[24:38]book of Hadith can't say to a chain of narrations going back

[24:41]to IM doesn't know the of Hadi doesn't know the of we

[24:47]are only taking what found in the pulpits I'm sorry to tell

[24:52]you there are narrations being narrated on the pulpit of that are

[25:02]not even found in the books of Hadith they are making you

[25:07]cry some of them not all of them and may Allah bless

[25:09]the ones that are sincere inshallah all of us are sincere they

[25:15]are making people cry because they just it's become like a business

[25:21]for them they make people cry regarding reports or sayings based upon

[25:26]poetry or books of Hadith or books of history that has come

[25:31]thousands of years later unacceptable do not make a business because it

[25:40]isn't do not make Hussein a business because by that you'll get

[25:45]expelled from the University of Hussein to get to how we graduate

[25:56]from the University of Hussein we graduate from the University of Hussein

[26:03]by having tawa by Reviving The of Ali Muhammad The Sciences of

[26:10]Ali Muhammad by Reviving the Quran and Sunnah by having sacrifice are

[26:20]you tired I know I get tired I work a lot are

[26:26]tired go home and read rather than sleeping 8 hours sleep six

[26:32]rather than sleeping six sleep four this life is filled with hardships

[26:38]it's not supposed to be easy fully I'm not saying every day

[26:42]live like you're on the jab but give it some time you

[26:50]want to graduate from the University of ab abdah Hussein then you

[26:56]must sacrifice like Hussein did Hussein sacrificed himself his children his family

[27:03]his woman got taken as captives that's the sacrifice to revive the

[27:11]of muhamad and to take people back to the Quran and Sunnah

[27:15]my brothers and sisters that will be watching inshallah take that step

[27:24]forward being sh is not supposed to be easy not just because

[27:27]there try to victimize you because you're Shia no it's hard because

[27:33]we have to constantly struggle and work towards perfecting ourselves Hussein set

[27:41]the bar so high the companions of ab abdah set the bar

[27:46]so high that we have to work day and night to try

[27:53]to achieve even 1% of what they achieve peace be upon the

[28:01]sh that are not just fighting for the sh but fighting for

[28:08]the um I will end it with a poem that should be

[28:13]written in Gold wherever you go for it is the poem that

[28:23]made IM cryed to the extent that it is said he told

[28:26]the poet stop I can't bear it some of the books of

[28:31]History say he told them stop I cannot bear it anymore the

[28:37]poet is IM says to him and I will only read out

[28:45]the first three lines of the poem as it's a bit longer

[28:51]than um what the time that I have who is look what

[28:58]im says about in a Hadi attributed to him he says to

[29:05]he says your mother named you s and you have succeeded in

[29:09]being worthy of this title you are the master of poets you

[29:17]are listen to the poem look what he says he says pass

[29:27]by the grave of Hussein pass by the grave of ab abdah

[29:33]and say to his pure bones oh bones may you be drenched

[29:42]in tears forever what is life where is the sweetness of life

[29:48]when the steeds trampled over you when they trampled over the body
