Western backed 'Islamophobia' today - does it stem from an inherent contention and issue of the West with 'Islam', or is islamophobia a title that is politically directed and targeted to serve the interests of Western governments, who after creating situations that yield islamophobia, they themselves benefit from it? And how is the resultant islamophobia conducive to their interests? Watch the video to find out!

[0:00]peace be with you all since this islamophobia awareness month i want
[0:05]to dedicate this video towards exploring the actual reality of what we
[0:10]have come to define as islamophobia so if we want to define
[0:15]islamophobia as is generically understood that is fear or enmity towards islam
[0:20]and or muslims then it's important that we make a distinction between
[0:26]those who are truly fearful of what real islam represents when of
[0:31]course practiced in its truest form as that would represent a threat
[0:36]to their interests so for example the western superpowers and those who
[0:40]have internalized a fear of islam not because of the reality of
[0:46]islam but because of what they assume and think is the reality
[0:49]with respect to islam when in actual fact it is really just
[0:56]a carefully engineered social construct that is false in its essence that
[1:00]has been presented to them via the mass media that they haven't
[1:03]then internalized and of course as we know the mass media is
[1:09]simply an echo chamber for promoting acceptance of government policy and agendas
[1:14]so in the knowledge of politics and the mobilization of nations in
[1:20]order to create waves and currents that can be taken advantage of
[1:26]there are titles certain titles that yield a kind of excitement and
[1:30]is a source of really provoking uh the masses so for example
[1:36]pitting religions against one another or even ethnicities or tribes or sex
[1:41]within religions because of course the seeds of sectarianism and this kind
[1:47]of fanatical prejudice it exists on all levels in a society but
[1:50]the important question and issue here is who is cultivating and nurturing
[1:58]this sectarianism and who is standing behind it to fulfill their objectives
[2:02]so in current day the western superpowers seek to instill this kind
[2:08]of fear of islam to provoke a kind of excitement that as
[2:14]we mentioned is buried amongst common people because it's not difficult to
[2:18]provoke those seeds of sedition in order to ultimately fulfill their agendas
[2:24]so the important point over here is that states don't ally with
[2:29]or against entities or people based on their religious affiliations it's really
[2:35]based on interests there is no enmity towards islam as such and
[2:41]of course when i mention islam i mean the islam that is
[2:47]commonly practiced amongst the billions of muslims not the islam in its
[2:54]purest sense and i say this because at one time you may
[2:56]find the west allying with a certain version of islam so for
[3:01]example that which saudi arabia the gulf states presents but the only
[3:06]instance of islamophobia of real islamophobia is when there is a real
[3:11]threat to western interests coming from an islamic direction and of course
[3:18]we've seen this post 1979 with the islamic revolution that happened in
[3:24]iran so the subject of islamophobia is not enmity towards islam per
[3:30]se as much as it is ratcheting up and taking advantage of
[3:33]the generated enmity towards islam as a result of the existing situations
[3:39]that they themselves have created so let me give an example it
[3:44]is no secret that isis played the functional role of the western
[3:48]imperialist project in west asia that sought to topple the syrian government
[3:54]that was inherently anti-imperialist inherently anti-zionist and also sought to cause civil
[4:02]strife in iraq that was important to them you know and um
[4:06]america never wanted to leave iraq and fighting isis became that pretext
[4:10]for them to actually remain and obviously this is irrespective of what
[4:14]the iraqi parliament thinks but that's a discussion for another day so
[4:18]the purpose of isis was to really fight as a proxy war
[4:23]for the west rather than them having to send their own troops
[4:26]but more importantly the west knows that isis is the best candidate
[4:32]to fight the version of islam that is a real threat to
[4:39]their interests and that is namely coming from iran that happens to
[4:42]be a shia nation so how did the west seek to mobilize
[4:46]uh the people during this conflict they turned it into a shia
[4:50]versus sunni war they turned it into a sectarian war and if
[4:53]we buy into this narrative then we are giving into what represents
[4:59]the higher interests of the superpowers because under which title did the
[5:01]resistance axis fight isis they sought to eradicate isis under the title
[5:11]that by eradicating them we are eradicating the western project for the
[5:16]whole region that have taken isis at all as are many other
[5:22]tools at their disposal that they have used so isis weren't fought
[5:25]under the same title that they used to fight the resistance axes
[5:28]which is you know because they're shia for example perhaps of the
[5:32]issue was never a sect or a religion that was used as
[5:37]a cover the reality is anyone who represents a threat of some
[5:41]kind to the western interests will be fought you know atheist white
[5:45]julian assange is being fought in prison right again it has nothing
[5:49]to do with with uh sexual religion you know if you're a
[5:54]muslim that happens to be um a quietest or you follow this
[5:58]kind of passive quietest thinking that for example we shouldn't fight those
[6:03]who are targeting us or aggressing us then you actually become the
[6:07]allies of the very same enemy um despite the fact that um
[6:14]you are a muslim or you are a shia so the crux
[6:17]of it is not a religious issue the crux of what i'm
[6:21]saying is that they're turning it into an internal shia versus sunni
[6:25]war why why did they unleash and unravel isis to begin with
[6:29]because they can't accept the real line of independence that doesn't want
[6:34]to be a slave for example to the western project to the
[6:39]american project that is manifested in the axis of resistance that happens
[6:42]to so be shia ideologically it so happens to be that so
[6:48]the west nurtured the cancer of isis and when you start something
[6:52]like that you cannot end it in your own way so when
[6:56]this spread and a part of it developed as enmity towards the
[7:01]west and you know you had all these terrorist attacks and in
[7:05]the west that backfired in a way this nurtured islamophobia and western
[7:09]governments of course they benefited from that reaction of um islamophobia you
[7:13]know when someone is killed here as a victim of these terrorist
[7:16]attacks and they mobilize the masses in a certain direction of enmity
[7:21]towards muslims they benefit in many ways now let's explore how they
[7:27]benefit number one through ratcheting up islamophobia they want to pit the
[7:33]western people against muslims so the west does not get affected by
[7:38]the real islamic movement this movement as i've mentioned before of promoting
[7:44]independence and freedom from the tackles of the hegemonic western superpowers and
[7:48]iran is a manifestation of that today not the western-loving saudi and
[7:54]and gulf states promotion of islam or their version of islam so
[7:58]that's number one number two this islamophobia is useful for the west
[8:03]to introduce policies like the prevent strategy that's which they claim is
[8:10]counter-terrorism um or it's in the bid to fight terrorism but the
[8:16]crux of it really is just surveillance against muslims why to create
[8:21]a state of fear-mongering where muslims will feel fearful to um indulge
[8:27]in debates or policies or talks about um politics and what's really
[8:32]happening on the ground and seeking to weaken the spirit and the
[8:35]identity of the muslim creating this kind of defeatist identity and nurturing
[8:39]it and number three this islamophobia is a very important psychological precondition
[8:47]to further wars in muslim countries by labeling all muslims as terrorists
[8:53]you've essentially dehumanized a whole population and it kind of provides a
[8:59]sort of justification you know um to the domestic populations of those
[9:04]perpetrating nations for why they're doing what they're doing so just to
[9:09]conclude the west is using the title of islamophobia in a very
[9:14]very sinister manner and as mentioned the subject of islamophobia is not
[9:18]enmity towards islam per se as much as it is ratcheting up
[9:21]and taking advantage of the generated enmity towards islam as a result
[9:26]of the existing situations that they have created and we gave the
[9:30]example of isis a very contemporary example and they do this more
[9:33]generally speaking through provoking those seats of sedition and that is ultimately
[9:38]what the mass media is an expert at doing you know it's
[9:41]it's very easy to grow a certain kind of hatred towards people
[9:45]and for the majority of politics in order to colonize nations say
[9:50]it the prerequisite of it is to divide right before you conquer
[9:55]your divide you create this kind of as we call in arabic
[9:57]this fitna this um sedition and these kinds are not just limited
[10:03]to religion and therefore it's certainly not limited to islam and that's
[10:07]why i say it's wrong to think of it as being targeted
[10:09]as just against islam per se and if we think of it
[10:14]in that kind of manner then we've allowed them to drag us
[10:16]into their square and it would also be very naive for us
[10:22]to think that the crux of the issue is the average joe
[10:24]on the streets who is hurling abuse a muslim for example and
[10:29]this is of course as a result of them internalizing this misunderstanding
[10:34]of islam and i would call it a false islamophobia because they
[10:38]don't really know what islam is and they've generated this kind of
[10:41]hatred and this kind of reaction so we as muslims we shouldn't
[10:45]be developing this kind of reaction towards society at large and then
[10:51]what happens is the real perpetrators they become far away from the
[10:56]whole picture and in many respects you know the average joe displaying
[11:01]signs of enmity towards muslims in islam is very much a victim
[11:07]you know who is simply a product of the efforts um to
[11:12]ratchet islamophobia so all in all we need to shine light on
[11:16]the main perpetrators and on the root of the um subject which
[11:22]is the original sewers of this edition one last important point that
[11:24]i want to make is that as muslims we shouldn't be reactionary
[11:26]in our approach or towel the line of the oppressors who want
[11:32]to isolate us or even worse want us to compromise so we
[11:37]sh we certainly shouldn't have this apologetic attitude of oh we're simply
[11:43]peaceful loving uh british muslims who condemn isis and and condemn terrorism
[11:51]it's like mate we should be on the offensive it is the
[11:54]muslims who have been disproportionately killed by the terrorism that you yourself
[12:00]have unleashed onto our muslim lands right and the vast vast majority
[12:07]of those who fought and gave their lives in the way of
[12:10]protecting the people of this land from the savagery of isis the
[12:16]vast majority of those who fought were muslims so all in all
[12:19]the victims of this terrorism the vast majority of them are muslims
[12:25]and now you're demanding for us to apologize when you unleash that
[12:28]very same terrorism on us it's like not only have you not
[12:33]apologized for your role in nurturing this terrorism and being the root
[12:35]cause of the issue but you haven't even acknowledged your role to
[12:39]the wider public to the extent that it's hidden from the public
[12:46]and they're unaware of the rule that you've played um so you
[12:49]should apologize you know western governments need need to apologize um so
[12:55]ultimately being apologetic it does divert us away from our aims and
[12:58]we need to be strong and to not feel any shame in
[13:03]what we believe in nor compromise on divine orders period
