[0:19][Music] Oh, Alhamdulillah.
[0:50][Music] [Music] Muhamad.
[1:42]for a frozen.
[2:13]A [Music] For the purification of the souls, the enlightening of the
[2:22]hearts, the acceptance of the deeds, and for the hastening of the
[2:25]reappearance of the awaited savior sharing your souls in the atmosphere with
[2:31]the recitation ofawat upon respected elders, sisters and brothers This is an
[2:49]important belief within the school of our must be understood and it
[3:06]gives us glad tidings and good inspiration in preparation for a Can
[3:13]we as people and human beings see the bait and specifically [Music]
[3:32]at the time of death.
[3:35]This is an important question because many a times in malis in
[3:40]literature in discussions that you may have had you may have come
[3:43]across the idea that when an individual leaves this world they have
[3:51]an opportunity to meet and see the commander of the faithful peace
[3:56]and blessings be upon him.
[3:56]This idea is of the utmost importance because the subject of death
[4:02]barak and is not a subject that people are fond of and
[4:08]they do not necessarily want to talk about it.
[4:09]How many people out there want to examine the whole journey of
[4:16]in a field known as esquetology meaning the study of the afterlife.
[4:21]You recognize it's a fearful concept which is full of apprehension.
[4:25]When you see movies for example, it is depicted as somewhere dark,
[4:30]as somewhere that brings about a lot of uncertainty.
[4:34]When it comes to the discussion of what happens to a human
[4:38]being when they die, there are three kinds of people, three types
[4:45]of individuals.
[4:44]The first type of person is heatless and does not want anything
[4:51]to do with the afterlife.
[4:52]Meaning they say I will live my life but I'm not necessarily
[4:55]going to know more about what happens in the next life because
[4:58]it's scary for me.
[5:00]This is not for me to recognize and to understand addresses these
[5:07]kind of people.
[5:07]He says in people's worst enemy is their ignorance.
[5:15]Meaning when I am afraid of something and I'm ignorant of it,
[5:22]it will be my number one cause of destruction.
[5:23]The second group of people are the ones who say no, I
[5:29]will want to know about a what are the stages of death?
[5:32]What happens in barak?
[5:35]Who calls and what are we questioned?
[5:38]What happens after the squeezing of the grave?
[5:43]What happens when we see or mubashir and bashir for example then
[5:47]they stop there or they want to know about but it's just
[5:50]for knowledge purposes just for information just so that they gain an
[5:56]understanding there is nothing more than this Quran comes forward and says
[6:08]oh human being You denied and did not want to reflect deeply
[6:15]on this journey.
[6:15]Now once you die, you can see everything very clearly.
[6:20]Your vision is like cast iron.
[6:22]The third group of people is one that you and I must
[6:28]aspire to become and it is the one that the Quran and
[6:30]Ali Muhammad have said you and I must endeavor to be part
[6:35]of.
[6:36]The third group of people saying I will learn listen to malis
[6:39]I will read books I will investigate and ask questions but importantly
[6:44]I will ask what will I do to prepare for it how
[6:49]will I change my life for it you ask me what does
[6:55]that mean for example you look at the holy Quran 30% of
[6:59]the Quran which is 1,920 ayat are dedicated toed and about and
[7:06]beliefs mainly the idea of the worship of Allah subhana tala and
[7:12]Allah alone 25% of the Quran 1,480 ayat are specifically dedicated towards
[7:24]death the quarter of the Quran discusses a subject that many people
[7:31]find scary sometimes when they go to a cemetery tree or when
[7:34]they go to a funeral or when they go to for example
[7:38]someone who is about to die they are remembering what will happen
[7:41]they know it will happen to them but not necessarily take heed
[7:45]the example that for for instance we should put on our minds
[7:51]is in order to become the group that takes heed and reflects
[7:54]upon what happens after death we need to examine these concepts these
[8:00]particular ideas why for example Today if somebody was to ask you
[8:06]you believe in what is the intermediary life what happens in barak
[8:14]someone will say I know the first process is called means presence
[8:21]it's when you first see the angel of death there is no
[8:24]going back now once you see the angel of death and this
[8:30]whole process of transformation to the other life takes less than a
[8:35]split second in today's time in this existence time after there could
[8:43]come a time known as whereby you begin to possibly question your
[8:48]beliefs comes and places ideas in your mind after there is the
[8:54]extraction of the soul from the body afterm there is what there
[9:01]is what's known as When the individual is placed in the grave
[9:06]after there is the there is the questioning and there are other
[9:12]processes question this squeezing of the grave as an example someone says
[9:18]I know what happens in barak how do I help myself in
[9:21]the squeezing of the grave we are told the grave will squeeze
[9:25]yes but this does it happen physically or to the soul no
[9:32]doubt to the soul Because you and I may not necessarily have
[9:35]a surviving body.
[9:38]Our body may not necessarily be buried.
[9:40]Some people their body disintegrate.
[9:42]Some people their bodies burnt.
[9:44]Some people they drown in the sea.
[9:46]What happens is their soul this what are the to do to
[9:52]help the squeezing of the grave?
[9:54]narrations tell us today there are three specific ones and many others
[9:58]but the main three have been recommended by theam to reduce the
[10:04]squeezing of the grave.
[10:04]Number one not in order of priority but just three.
[10:11]Number one not to take lightly washing oneself after passing urine.
[10:18]Someone says that equals yes today some of the youth that they
[10:25]use these urinals or they use these particular bathrooms they copy the
[10:30]non-Muslims they don't use water they don't practice tahara correctly they say
[10:36]I'll do it when I go home this is adding to the
[10:42]squeezing of the grave or not yes does it help my life
[10:47]of course the recognition Therefore is that's one of the things that
[10:52]say the second another one is what backbiting an individual who eats
[10:57]the flesh of their brother or sister they are susceptible to more
[11:04]pain during the squeezing of the grape.
[11:06]Third is false allegations speaking wrongly or spreading mishaps or lies about
[11:17]people online or offline.
[11:19]Today it's become very easy.
[11:20]There are people out there who the moment they feel that they
[11:23]disagree with somebody online immediately they have the urge to come forward
[11:28]and say this person is so and so this person is a
[11:34]liar.
[11:35]This person is not a true or we see we see speakers
[11:38]we disagree with.
[11:41]They may have said something that you and I are not in
[11:43]agreement.
[11:44]All of a sudden there is a need for some people to
[11:49]go online and to what defame them, spread rumors about them.
[11:52]This is also a cause for the squeezing of the grave.
[12:00]Therefore, the belief in the idea of whether we see Im Amir
[12:03]peace be upon him a death is an important discussion.
[12:09]Why?
[12:10]because it's linked to a number of other topics which are related
[12:16]to the concerning and im today there is a war on the
[12:28]of the today there are people outside Shiam and within Shiam so
[12:33]to speak who are waging all kinds of doubts and concerns and
[12:38]misconception ceptions on very established fundamental of they want to place these
[12:49]concerns in the minds of our youth.
[12:52]They will produce videos and articles.
[12:54]They will place posts on social media.
[12:57]They will come at angles which will make our youth think, "Excuse
[13:01]me, this doesn't make sense to me.
[13:04]Excuse me.
[13:05]I don't agree with this idea.
[13:07]1,400 years of and scholars and books and before that the have
[13:13]come forward and presented these and today there are those who have
[13:16]come forward and said this does not exist.
[13:20]For example, the notion of the the return this is related to
[13:27]the subject of our discussion.
[13:29]What do we mean that it is the of the school of
[13:31]bait?
[13:32]Because the six holy imbu has come forward and said what?
[13:50]Anyone who does not believe in our is not one of us.
[13:57]What's the the belief that before the end of this life this
[14:00]existence after the reappearance of a holy 12 IM the best of
[14:05]the people will come back and the worst of the people will
[14:08]come back from dead meaning what meaning the holy prophet of Islam
[14:14]theam will return to this dy to this existence and their enemies
[14:18]and the worst of Allah subhanana wa ta'ala's creation will come back
[14:23]to this existence before and they will see the justice of Allahh.
[14:27]This is exclusive to the school of another that today has been
[14:35]the subject of much attack doubts and misconception is meaning that today
[14:41]there are those who have come and said this to our youth.
[14:44]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in the holy Quran Allah says supplicate
[14:53]to me and I will answer to you.
[14:56]He also says when your servant my servant asks you about me
[15:02]tell them I am close.
[15:03]Therefore Allah is closer than the jugular vein.
[15:06]So I should only say ya Allah.
[15:09]I should not say anything.
[15:11]I should only ask Allah.
[15:15]I should not say I should only supplicate to my Lord and
[15:20]ask from him.
[15:23]I should not ask Hussein peace be upon him or Abal or
[15:30]say or anywhere else at the shrines.
[15:32]They say why?
[15:36]The answer is because Allah says he is close to us.
[15:40]So surely I should ask Allah.
[15:44]Why is it I need to go through human beings?
[15:47]Why should I ask a human being who has died?
[15:48]I should ask the almighty.
[15:50]Immediately when a youth or a child hears this, they say that
[15:54]makes perfect sense.
[15:56]That's very good.
[15:58]I should only ask Allah.
[15:59]Ya Allah only.
[16:01]I am not going to ask the I'm not going to say
[16:03]anything.
[16:04]Just ya Allah.
[16:06]It makes sense to my you agree.
[16:09]This is where the problem lies.
[16:11]Where does the problem lie?
[16:16]The problem lies not when it came to what the belief system.
[16:18]It is not dictated by you and I.
[16:21]It is dictated by Allah through the prophet.
[16:26]Please understand this worshiped Allah according to for 6,000 years.
[16:33]Do you agree?
[16:35]When he worshiped Allah, Allah said to him, bow down to Adam.
[16:39]Shan El said to the almighty, I do not want to bow
[16:48]down to Adam.
[16:47]If you excuse me from doing this, I will worship you like
[16:53]no other creation, but I don't want to do sag to Adam.
[16:56]Allah said to him, I am the one who commands and tells
[17:02]you what to do.
[17:03]You do not worship me the way you like.
[17:05]You worship me the way I command.
[17:09]Today the problem is everybody wants to worship Allah the way their
[17:13]mind wants.
[17:15]Some people say Allah says I am close to the human being.
[17:21]Therefore I say ya Allah.
[17:22]The first problem that emerges in this without going into detail in
[17:25]this discussion but I don't want to leave doubt in the minds
[17:30]of some of the youngsters is Allah is close to us but
[17:32]we are not close to Allah.
[17:34]Meaning what?
[17:37]Our sins our actions have created a barrier between us and what
[17:43]and our dua being answered by Allah.
[17:45]Yes, Allah hears us but he has placed a system in dua.
[17:50]Yesterday we recited there are sins that stop the dua from being
[17:59]answered.
[17:59]Number one.
[18:01]Number two, who gives us what we should be doing or not?
[18:04]Who instructs what is allowed and what not?
[18:08]Definitely Quran and B.
[18:11]Do you agree?
[18:10]When we look at the B and the Quran, who teaches us
[18:16]what the Quran and B have instructed us to do?
[18:19]Our our yes they are the ones who are more learned than
[18:22]you and I.
[18:23]Do you agree?
[18:25]They have understood the Quran and much better than you and I.
[18:27]Do you agree?
[18:29]They are not here to gain money or to gain prestige or
[18:31]fame.
[18:31]They are here to serve you and I 50 60 years.
[18:35]Those who have been ina they know it's hard.
[18:38]It's difficult.
[18:37]It's not gaining worldly pleasures.
[18:39]They are here for the services of you and I.
[18:43]They have come forward and they have said what I have here
[18:46]four great maraj who were all asked this question can we say
[18:52]Ali can we say yah can we say yah hussein give me
[18:57]or not because what I am concerned about is what these maraj
[19:00]say not someone sitting in India and telling me what to do
[19:05]or anywhere else around the world I'm not concerned with that I
[19:08]am concerned with what my maraj tells me yes this particular ruling
[19:12]is what is from our the first is he was asked when
[19:21]I stand up I say when I sit down I say is
[19:26]this okay he says it is not a problem then he says
[19:28]when you or I god forbid are drowning when we are drowning
[19:36]we see somebody who is in the sea in the boat we
[19:38]see someone in the boat yes we say I don't want your
[19:43]help.
[19:44]I'm not going to call your help.
[19:44]Ya Allah, please help me.
[19:48]Immediately when I am drowning, I see somebody, I say, please help
[19:54]me.
[19:55]I am drowning.
[19:53]What is wrong with that?
[19:59]Don't think those killed in the path of Allah are dead.
[20:03]They are alive seeking sustenance with the Lord.
[20:07]So when I say I believe is alive, hears me.
[20:10]He helps me only by the permission of Allahh.
[20:15]What is wrong with this?
[20:20]I do not I do not set the Allah his messenger.
[20:23]Similarly, chapter 5:35 says what?
[20:30]Find a means of nearness to him.
[20:33]He says when Allah says find the near means of nearness to
[20:38]him I follow what Allah subhanana wa ta'ala says not what my
[20:42]says my may think all kinds of things yes similarly another of
[20:50]our great answers the same [Applause] thing when he was asked he
[20:57]said yes it's good then he says It is one of the
[21:07]best ways to attain success and to get your dua answered by
[21:09]Allah.
[21:10]One of our current maraj who was asked this question.
[21:21]He replies back when he was asked can we say can we
[21:24]say he says definitely say it it's one of the best ways
[21:34]to seek proximity to Allahh I ask you have you read Quran
[21:44]28:15 those who question this have you read the Quran what do
[21:47]you mean Quran says Musam came.
[21:48]He saw what?
[21:51]He saw one of them, one of his fighting one of his
[21:56]enemies.
[21:57]The one who was from his asked MS for help.
[22:01]He did which means to ask for help.
[22:03]Yes.
[22:04]M didn't say excuse me, ask Allah.
[22:08]Don't ask me.
[22:08]He came to help him.
[22:12]The moment that individual asked Musam for help.
[22:16]Someone says but MS was alive.
[22:17]you have not understood the Quran because as we said the Quran
[22:21]affirms the fact that the holy prophet and B are alive and
[22:26]without a shadow of a doubt seeking sustenance with their lord but
[22:31]very briefly I give you sah evidence from what from in case
[22:36]somebody is not sure because chapter 4:64 is also another very clear
[22:44]ayah that clearly gives us the legitimacy and authenticity to say in
[22:48]which way with the belief by the way with the belief that
[22:53]they are not independent from Allah that when we ask them that
[22:56]they are the means to Allah subhana wa ta'ala fulfilling our they
[22:59]are the was they are the path yes so I am asking
[23:04]them with the knowledge that all goodness is from Allah all is
[23:10]from Allahhala and they are the means to get this what to
[23:13]get this to us Allah tab waala in chapter 4 64 said
[23:23]what?
[23:25]When people are sinful, Quran says they come to you all they
[23:32]ask Allah for forgiveness.
[23:32]Is that it?
[23:37]The prophet must also forgive them.
[23:40]So the ayah says it is what?
[23:44]It is also the prophet given by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this
[23:47]ability to do for the people.
[23:49]Does the verse say when he is alive physically?
[23:52]No.
[23:54]What's they will see Allah of forgiving of merciful.
[23:59]Hence we have two interesting hadith just to give us just to
[24:04]give us certainty.
[24:06]My respected brothers and sisters, the beloved of the community and anyone
[24:12]watching, you watch a movie or a small clip or somebody saying
[24:15]something on YouTube, don't make this change your investigate and ask from
[24:24]our and our established books.
[24:25]Don't immediately come to the conclusion, oh, but this person said this
[24:29]hadith from this.
[24:31]They are very selective in choosing what they want and they are
[24:35]poisonous in spreading their danger.
[24:37]Yes.
[24:37]Be very careful whom that you listen to and whom you follow.
[24:43]These two hadith listen to this volume two.
[24:46]Somebody comes forward and says no don't ask people who are dead
[24:50]because they cannot hear you and they cannot help you.
[24:53]That is the main idea.
[24:54]They say ask Allah only.
[24:57]which is by the way one of the main fundamental beliefs of
[25:00]Wahhabi Salafi theology just for your information they say don't say Ali
[25:06]don't say Hussein what does do he speaks to the prophet after
[25:11]he has died and asks him something in he says to himool
[25:20]Allah mention us with your lord if it is not permissible to
[25:26]all ask someone who has died.
[25:31]Why is speaking to the prophet and asking him?
[25:33]Yes, please help me.
[25:38]Why?
[25:36]We follow not someone sitting in front of a camera.
[25:45]Likewise in the [Music] What do we say?
[26:01]We address her.
[26:03]We speak to her.
[26:03]We say to her, "Oh, the one who is examined by Allah
[26:08]through trial.
[26:12]We are asking you are seeking help from you." Isn't it?
[26:19]Therefore the recognition that emerges and the trend that you and I
[26:23]can see is these shhat these misconceptions these ideas that are emerging
[26:27]are mainly related to wea and imama they don't come out about
[26:36]any other beliefs usually usually it is centered around weakening people's relationship
[26:40]with bait it's part of a plan yes even though people who
[26:46]are doing it may not know that they are doing it some
[26:49]of them ignorant ly but without a shadow of a doubt it
[26:54]is part of an objective to make the connection with Ali Muhammad
[26:59]weaker that's why our youth today must be investing time and effort
[27:04]to strengthen their understanding and knowledge of their but most importantly from
[27:12]the the of and of today it is not a joke Today
[27:19]is not about thinking this is not for me.
[27:23]I leave it for the alims.
[27:23]I leave it for someone who is learned.
[27:26]No, each and every individual should seek whatever it takes to strengthen
[27:32]their understanding, ask questions, investigate, look at the Quran and find answers.
[27:37]May Allah bless those parents who make an effort to ensure that
[27:42]their children are educated not only through M&M's.
[27:47]Have you seen M&M's?
[27:49]You have it here in Mozambique.
[27:54]This is not what I'm talking about.
[27:57]Not the chocolate.
[28:01]Madrasa and member.
[28:01]People say madrasa and member is enough.
[28:04]I will make sure my child gains the and the strength of
[28:10]and im from the speeches, from the lectures and from madrasa.
[28:14]Not enough.
[28:15]Everything starts at home.
[28:19]Everything starts from the father and the mother.
[28:20]What they nurture, what they speak, what they defend all the time
[28:27]at home wherever they are brings about a child.
[28:28]Today, if you see a youth who is defending and standing strong
[28:34]in the of No, it is their father and their mother who
[28:37]has nurtured them with the H of Ali.
[28:44]That's why the famous poet says, he says, "May Allah never punish
[29:00]my mother because she fed me the milk, but in it was
[29:05]the love of [Music] Ali.
[29:07]and my father bought me up with the honor and the respect
[29:14]of Abal Hassan.
[29:13]Therefore, I have now become a man who from my father and
[29:19]my fa my mother I'm surrounded with the love of Ali.
[29:24]I remember one story of a young man 12 years old who
[29:29]is amongst those kind of people.
[29:30]Who is this man?
[29:32]He is a young boy who lived in one of the countries
[29:34]that hated the Shia in the Middle East.
[29:37]One day at school he was sitting in the class and the
[29:42]teacher began to talk about Islamic history.
[29:46]So when he came to the final sermon of the holy prophet
[29:49]and the hajj he said the prophet came he gave the final
[29:55]sermon then some say he went to a place known as and
[30:00]he did not do anything important.
[30:02]The teacher said he only said to the Muslims Ali is my
[30:05]teacher sometimes leave the class and points appoints one child to look
[30:12]after the class to make sure everything is in order.
[30:14]So the teacher refers to this Shia young boy and says you
[30:19]stand up.
[30:18]I'm going to leave for 5 minutes to get everything.
[30:21]You look after the class.
[30:22]Make sure nobody is misbehaving.
[30:26]Everybody's doing their work.
[30:28]I'll be back in 5 10 minutes.
[30:29]He leaves.
[30:30]He comes back after 10 minutes everything is good.
[30:34]He says to him go back.
[30:35]He says before I go back sir the student I have one
[30:39]question which is bothering me.
[30:40]He says what is it in front of the whole class look
[30:46]at the strength of he says to him sir you left the
[30:48]classroom 10 minutes and you made sure that I look after the
[30:52]classroom and you left me as your deputy.
[30:54]You expect Allah and his messenger to leave Islam without appointing a
[31:00]successor.
[31:03]The teacher became very upset, very angry.
[31:06]He says, "You have humiliated me in front of the class.
[31:11]Now I will send you to the headteer.
[31:13]He will expel you and you are leaving the school.
[31:17]I don't want you here." He said, "Okay." So he wrote a
[31:19]note.
[31:19]He said, "Go to the headteer." The head teacher's room, he knocked
[31:22]on the door.
[31:24]The student 12 years old, he entered.
[31:25]That teacher says, "Why are you here?" He said, "There is a
[31:28]note." He looked at the note.
[31:28]He said okay tomorrow you will have to bring your wally who
[31:34]is your guardian and you will take your stuff and go.
[31:37]Said okay.
[31:38]Next day he came knocked on the door.
[31:41]The student the head teacher said come.
[31:44]He entered.
[31:45]He says where is Yali?
[31:46]He said outside bring him.
[31:48]He brings his friend.
[31:50]So the student brings a friend.
[31:52]12year-old boy.
[31:53]Her teacher said I told you to bring your wii which means
[31:59]your guardian someone in charge of you a father mother.
[32:01]He said sir your teacher for many years tells us that the
[32:07]meaning of wii is friend so I bought my friend.
[32:08]He said to him no it's not true the term wi means
[32:14]authority someone who has authority over you.
[32:16]So the student rose about to leave.
[32:18]He said that's why we the say when the prophet held the
[32:21]hands of Ali and raised it and said he said whomsoever I
[32:29]have authority from Allah Ali has authority over [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
[32:41]that is why it's of the utmost importance for the next few
[32:46]minutes I discuss the concept of Can we see at the time
[32:50]of death or not?
[32:53]Our come forward for example in his famous book he says the
[33:01]people and the of are all in agreement that there is absolute
[33:10]authenticity.
[33:11]There is no doubt in our minds.
[33:17]that all the imams have said truthfully from them that we will
[33:23]be able and every human being the good and the bad will
[33:32]seem at the time of death even the bad says it is
[33:40]a belief of the Shia that you must believe in it is
[33:45]obligatory for you to believe in this.
[33:48]Somebody comes forward and says what does that mean?
[33:52]How do we interpret it?
[33:53]Where is the evidence in the Quran that the of the have
[33:58]come forward and clearly stated that the individual at the time of
[34:03]meaning the first moment they see the angel of death when they
[34:05]are moving from this existence to this The discussion academic also Quranic
[34:20]in nature we can defend our using the holy Quran.
[34:22]Allah subhana t says there is no one or there are many
[34:32]from the who will believe in him before their death and on
[34:40]the day of they he will be a witness to them.
[34:45]Question when the are about to die they believe in who?
[34:50]Quran says that they will believe in him before they die.
[34:53]Who are they going to believe before they die?
[34:56]Some of us have said they believe in Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[35:00]The answer is no.
[35:04]Because the verses earlier in talk about the rejecting Isaam and what
[35:15]saying we have killed Isaam.
[35:16]So the context of these verses are in reference to whom?
[35:23]Prophet Isaam.
[35:23]And therefore the majority of them of will come forward and say
[35:28]the meaning of this ayah is this that the many of them
[35:35]before they die or about to die they see Isaam they see
[35:42]Jesus and then Isa will explain to them either they were of
[35:48]the ones who truly followed Isa he will give them glad tidings
[35:51]and if they are the ones who turned against the true teachings
[35:58]of Isa then they will be absolutely devastated and Isaam will warn
[36:02]them of what they will face.
[36:05]The Quran therefore does not in any shape or form reject the
[36:14]idea of what?
[36:12]Of the seeing of somebody at the time of death.
[36:18]This is a concept that is found in the Holy Quran.
[36:23]question do we have what are the narrations of theal that point
[36:27]to this and I will give you five narrations because I want
[36:33]no doubt in the hearts of us regarding the belief that we
[36:39]see the imams including the infi volume three in hadith number 13
[36:54]He said, "By Allah, no one who loves me from the servants
[37:06]of Allah except that when they die, they will see me whenever
[37:12]they wish.
[37:20]No one hated me except that they will see me after they
[37:26]die.
[37:27]And when they don't want to see me, they will see me.
[37:32]Second, this is found in I mention references for you in case
[37:43]you want to check.
[37:46]A man by the name of Kal said, "I and a man
[37:51]by the name of we went upon imbu says to him a
[38:07]few things until this man says to im the imam.
[38:10]He says to him, "What will happen at the time of death?"
[38:14]When somebody is about to die, what will happen?
[38:18]What is it that they will see?
[38:22]Imam immediately answers this.
[38:27]He says to him, "By Allah, he that person, a believer, when
[38:35]they die, he will see them." So the the the individual says
[38:39]who they will see who im says then he says that no
[38:53]soul a believer will die except that they will see the holy
[38:57]prophet and yes this is another realization likewise in alafi And alih
[39:07]there is a wonderful beautiful narration here I'd like to focus on
[39:13]this is regarding an individual who was a wretched enemy of the
[39:18]b who was yes he was dying.
[39:24]Yes this particular individual was dying this man was about to die
[39:31]and he was unconscious.
[39:31]All of a sudden there here he says why are you here
[39:39]Ali I don't want you here.
[39:42]So the man said I went to Imisam and I said to
[39:48]him I saw it in my own eyes somebody is is dying
[39:52]and he is unconscious and shouting I don't want to see you
[39:55]Ali I don't want to see you.
[39:56]What does Im Saddak respond?
[40:04]Abdullah 100% by the Lord of the He saw him.
[40:09]He saw him by the Lord of the Kaa.
[40:11]Yes.
[40:12]This is whom another affirmation a beautiful hadith also exists regarding the
[40:19]Sahabi of Amir by the name of Alhamdani.
[40:22]One day in Kufa these are that are considered reliable.
[40:31]Hamadani was an old man.
[40:31]One day he was sick and when he was sick he asked
[40:34]to be carried to Kufa.
[40:37]When he came to Kufa saw him he said to him he
[40:44]said why are you here?
[40:46]You are sick.
[40:46]You're being carried and you've brought to the mosque.
[40:52]I have come to see you.
[40:56]Why?
[40:59]I'm so scared that I die and I don't see you Allahbar.
[41:04]Some people's love for Allah, we wish we were there at that
[41:11]time just for a moment to glance at this Ramadan.
[41:12]He says, "Yeah, Ali, I was scared I die in my house
[41:16]and I don't see you one last time." Look at the answer
[41:20]of the imam.
[41:20]Look at the imam is calming him.
[41:22]He said to him, "Don't worry.
[41:26]Even if you hadn't come now, I will come and see you
[41:32]the moment you die at the moment of death.
[41:32]Not only in seven other places, etc.
[41:41]You will see me the moment your soul leaves your body.
[41:45]You'll see me in the grave.
[41:46]You will see me on the day of on the bridge on
[41:53]the Likewise, we have a chapter in which is called the chapter
[41:57]whereby the believer hates dying that the believer will not be forced
[42:05]to die.
[42:06]Yes.
[42:07]What is this chapter about?
[42:07]This is a chapter regarding what happens at the time of death
[42:13]for the believer.
[42:12]Yes.
[42:12]It is also from the holy sixth im.
[42:15]Somebody came to him and said to him, "May I be ransomed
[42:20]for you and be sacrificed for you?" A believer, are they forced
[42:24]when they're about to die?
[42:25]Does the angel of death take their soul by force?
[42:31]Yes.
[42:32]Im says, "No, wallah, they're not.
[42:35]They're not forced.
[42:37]They do it willingly.
[42:38]Please focus on this." Sometimes we say for a believer when they're
[42:42]about to die they beg no no I want to stay in
[42:46]this world.
[42:47]Imam Alisam there is a series of hadith that says no the
[42:50]believer wants to die.
[42:52]Why?
[42:53]Imam says when they see the angel of death they say oh
[43:03]no it's time for death.
[43:08]They feel very much in the state of despair.
[43:09]Then the mode the angel of death will say to him no
[43:14]don't worry angel of death will say to him don't worry for
[43:24]by the one Allah who sent the prophet I am more kind
[43:30]to you than the most merciful of fathers towards their children.
[43:34]Then he says to him, the angel of death says to him,
[43:39]so the person who is dying is talking to angel of death.
[43:45]He puts, he shuts his eyes.
[43:47]Angel of death says to him, open your eyes.
[43:50]Why are you closing your eyes?
[43:53]Then he will open.
[44:02]He says the moment he opens his eyes in front of him,
[44:06]he will see the prophet Ali Hussein and all the imams right
[44:11]in front of him.
[44:18]These narrations highlight to us the beautiful glad tidings that Allah subhanahu
[44:26]wa ta'ala has presented for the believers.
[44:27]Next time you are next to a beloved somebody who is leaving
[44:32]this world and they lived their lives through the will of B
[44:35]they served Ali Muhammad they attended malis they went for zara they
[44:40]did whatever it takes to keep the message of the bait alive
[44:45]don't despair don't think and worry much about them the moment they
[44:49]leave this world the moment the angel of death comes to them
[44:51]they will be comforted they will be looked after by thealam There
[44:58]is no doubt about that through our narrations.
[45:01]Final question is how there are some who have come forward and
[45:08]said this is difficult to accept for the it's not easy for
[45:10]us to accept how will the B come in front of somebody
[45:15]who is dying who is about to leave this world how is
[45:16]this physically possible because they are in they are in another world
[45:24]their bodies are buried how is it that they come I've said
[45:28]three ways please understand this so that we can indeed conclude they
[45:32]say the first is through their meaning their specific body created for
[45:40]because has a specific body that Allah subhana t creates for the
[45:46]human being that body is like a reflection of the physical body
[45:49]but it's immaterial it's like us standing in front of a mirror
[45:52]it's like a reflection yes it is what it is something that
[45:56]cannot be touched so it is through that that they come and
[46:02]present themselves in front of the person who are who is dying.
[46:05]That's the first group of who believe it is like this.
[46:10]The second group of our they say no they are presented through
[46:14]something that looks like them.
[46:16]So something that is imagined to the individual that indeed is like
[46:20]them but not themselves.
[46:24]They say somebody point to this.
[46:27]A third group says no, they will be represented through certain creations
[46:32]of Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[46:35]For example, we have a hadith from the six im Alisam that
[46:37]says when an individual dies, six things will come to him.
[46:41]Six beautiful creations of Allah and he doesn't know who they are.
[46:45]So he's he or she is in the grave.
[46:49]All of a sudden he sees one of the creation of Allah
[46:51]on his right, one on his left, one next to his feet.
[46:56]Yes.
[46:57]one in his back and one overall superior to them.
[47:00]So he says to the the one who is superior creation says
[47:04]to the others who are you what are you doing?
[47:07]They said we are created by Allah to defend this believer from
[47:11]any hardship.
[47:12]So the one on the right says I am his salah.
[47:16]The one on the left would say I am the fasting.
[47:17]The one next to his feet would say I am the Hajj.
[47:22]The one behind him would say, "I am the sur the happiness
[47:25]you placed in the hearts of a believer." The last one who's
[47:30]superior and bigger and more beautiful than all of them.
[47:32]They would ask, "Who are you?
[47:37]You are greater than all of us." It would [Music] say I
[47:47]am the belief in the divine authority sent by Allah subhana wa
[47:54]tala through selection of these specific holy individuals.
[47:55]Yet someone says okay which one of the three we will experience?
[48:01]Which one of the three?
[48:05]The answer is it depends on the rank and the status of
[48:09]the believer.
[48:08]The more they are closer to theal bait, the more they are
[48:15]likely to see them in reality.
[48:18]The more they dedicated their lives in service of Ali Muhammad, the
[48:23]more they are able to what?
[48:27]Witness them in reality.
[48:27]And this is a very important point because today there are those
[48:34]who falsely believe that I may not do anything that is waj
[48:38]the moment I have the of and the b I am saved.
[48:42]This is not part of the teachings of Islam and the meaning
[48:45]what there are those out there who say I don't need to
[48:49]do salah I don't need to fast on the day of on
[48:52]the month of Ramadan wallah in the UK I was invited to
[48:55]a mosque many years ago when I went there they said to
[49:00]me please speak about the importance of fasting I said we are
[49:04]all Shiahan Muslims we fast he said no there are some who
[49:07]are not fasting I said why he said to me they believe
[49:12]that the Holy Imm said, which is not a hadith by the
[49:14]way, that the Imam said, every day is every land is Kbala.
[49:22]And because every day is, we're not allowed to fast in every
[49:28]day.
[49:28]So the month of Ramadan, we're not allowed to fast because it's
[49:33]ash.
[49:34]Subhan Allah.
[49:33]Imagine where the Shayan goes.
[49:38]He said to me, "Molana, tell them it's waj to fast." Don't
[49:41]be deceived.
[49:43]Yes.
[49:44]The recognition that emerges today is some people believe I have and
[49:49]is sufficient.
[49:48]No, no, no, no, no.
[49:51]The reflection of your will is your obedience to Allah subhana wa
[49:54]ta'ala.
[49:55]The one who is close to Ali Muhammad has the best salah
[50:00]the best the best the best and zak the best service to
[50:02]parents the best service to humanity the one who has closest toal
[50:06]is the one who's closest to Allah subhana wa tala that is
[50:10]the true of yes yes the of is given by those who
[50:16]dedicate theelves the im of our time may Allah still his reappearance
[50:18]here be happy when we are true servants we follow the Quran
[50:24]and the teachings of the B I ask you on the final
[50:26]moments of the life of Imam.
[50:31]What did he say to his family members?
[50:31]He says, "Those who take their prayers lightly, no, no, no, we
[50:36]will not come to them.
[50:36]We will not support them.
[50:39]We will not intercede for them.
[50:41]Those who take their prayers lightly, no way." Yes, it comes hand
[50:48]in hand.
[50:47]Don't be deceived by those who say it's okay.
[50:50]I have will and I'm already saved.
[50:52]Yes.
[50:53]The condition for your saving is but it comes hand in hand
[50:58]with the obedience to Allah and the worship of Allahh and that
[51:03]has to exist without shadow of a doubt.
[51:05]Yes.
[51:06]That's why we as the lovers of Ali as the followers of
[51:12]Mim on nights like this when we commemorate his martyrdom and especially
[51:16]on a night like this when we remember his mah when we
[51:20]remember his tragedy when we remember what happened to him it does
[51:27]not feel like any normal person leaving this world it feels painful.
[51:32]If tonight you feel the pain, if tonight you feel the anguish
[51:40]and the agony, if tonight you feel the sadness that know that
[51:44]has a good place in your heart because the B have said
[51:51]our ones whom when we are happy they are happy and when
[51:54]we are saddened they are saddened.
[52:00]Wallah, the city of Kufa had not seen any night a few
[52:09]hours like a night like tonight.
[52:11]When the lovers of Ali, when the family of Ali, when the
[52:18]Shia of Ali recognized that it was time to bid farewell to
[52:22]the second best creation of Allah, it was time to bid farewell
[52:29]to the husband of Fatima, to the brother of Rasool Allah, to
[52:31]the father of Hassan and Hussein Zbulum, the father of Abbas.
[52:37]It was only a few hours left of the life of Amir
[52:41]Alman.
[52:42]The tell us that his family members all were around him.
[52:50]They wanted to spend the last few hours and minutes next to
[52:55]him.
[52:55]Amir was doing two things.
[52:56]A lot of Allah.
[53:02]He would back then he would give advice for patience for steadfastness.
[53:06]to remain strong at times of adversity.
[53:10]He would look at Imm Hassan and would say, "Oh my son,
[53:16]you will be poisoned and your rights will be taken away from
[53:19]you." He would look at say and tell him about the of
[53:26]you know why because had seen carbala.
[53:31]Some people think that al-man was just talking about carbala out of
[53:38]what the prophet has told him.
[53:42]Did you know that al- mmin visited carbala?
[53:44]The rewire tells us that when he was on his way towards
[53:51]Safhine, he sat down in a place, he picked up the soil
[53:53]and said, "This is the place where my son Hussein will be
[54:00]slaughtered." Yes.
[53:58]He smelt the fragrance and the soil of Kbalah.
[54:02]Yes.
[54:03]He said, "This is the place in which people will be resurrected
[54:07]on the day of without accountability." So, Amir Alm visited Karbala.
[54:12]He knew the Messiah of Kbalah.
[54:15]He would give Abdullah Hussein that encouragement.
[54:19]Yes.
[54:20]Those words of support before the ma.
[54:24]He would look around his family members.
[54:26]Then all of a sudden he lost consciousness.
[54:30]Then he woke up.
[54:31]The says that he said I saw Allah.
[54:33]Yes.
[54:34]And Allah said to me, you are coming towards us.
[54:43]you are surely coming to see us very very soon.
[54:45]The says when it was close to the time of the morning
[54:51]of the 21st of the month of Ramadan 40 years after was
[55:00]lying on his on the ground with a small mattress.
[55:08]He faced lying down.
[55:09]Then he began to extend his legs.
[55:13]He placed his hands next to his body.
[55:19]He closed his eyes.
[55:19]Imagine those moments.
[55:19]Now there is a poet that says that the angel of death
[55:24]came to him and said to him, "Yeah Ali, I am embarrassed
[55:29]to take your soul.
[55:29]Ya Ali, you give me permission to take your soul because you
[55:33]are present when I take the souls of believers.
[55:37]who is going to be present when I take your soul.
[55:42]Ali says to him, "Don't worry, angel of death." You do what
[55:45]you have to.
[55:47]My brother Allah is next to me.
[55:49]But who else is next to me?
[55:50]I see Fatima, my beloved wife, next to me, Allah.
[55:54]Do you know how much missed his beloved wife Fatima Zah?
[56:00]Do you know how much he longed to see his wife Fatim
[56:02]Zah?
[56:03]Because he said to whom he said to Im Hassan Hussein in
[56:09]those moments he says when I die bury me in the location
[56:11]that my brother Noah had dug a grave for me in the
[56:16]land of Gar.
[56:18]There is a grave for me.
[56:18]Yes.
[56:19]Next to the grave of Adam.
[56:20]Bury me there in secret.
[56:23]Don't tell anyone where my grave is.
[56:26]One of the reasons why because he knew that he had so
[56:29]many enemies.
[56:31]Another reason is he wanted Muad to remember that his wife did
[56:36]not have a grave known by the people.
[56:40]Subhan Allah wanted those moments to be remembered.
[56:44]It's as if he says to his beloved wife, "Oh Fatima, you
[56:50]said bury me in a grave that's hidden.
[56:53]I will also bury be buried in a grave that's hidden." And
[56:57]yes, you said bury me at night Hassan.
[57:04]I will also be buried at night.
[57:05]But the poet says speaks to Fatima at those moments.
[57:09]He says to her, "Yes, when I die, yes, I my head
[57:17]is bleeding and is split.
[57:18]But when you died, your ribs were broken." Yes.
[57:23]Uh your ribs were shattered.
[57:24]My head is bleeding, but your face was bruised with the slap.
[57:29]My head is bleeding, but you had the whips of that on
[57:36]your body.
[57:39]Yes.
[57:41]Says His soul departs from his body.
[57:59]The family around him began to cry.
[58:08]Im Hassan and Hussein would place themselves on the body of their
[58:13]father.
[58:16]Zan cries cries.
[58:17]The hundreds of yatama, the orphans outside, they cry, but there is
[58:22]no cry like the cries of the angels in the heavens which
[58:31]said's body is washed.
[58:35]He is shrouded.
[58:35]Imm Hassan, Im Hussein.
[58:38]The choices of the companions, they take the body of Amir Almin.
[58:43]They take him towards that site.
[58:45]They place the body inside the grave.
[58:49]They with their broken hearts, with the tears in their eyes.
[58:57]They bury Abdah Hussein.
[58:58]They bury their father including Abdah who takes part in the burial.
[59:04]When they finish the burial, they are walking back.
[59:08]They see a man.
[59:11]A man looks at them.
[59:11]The man is blind.
[59:13]He says to them, "Oh people, I can hear you walking.
[59:15]Uh, please tell me, tell me.
[59:17]Uh, I have been visited by an individual over the last so
