[0:00][Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Peace be upon.
[0:30]upon you oh my master or messenger of Allah peace be upon
[0:36]you and upon your pure noble and oppressed family peace be upon
[0:45]you oh aba Abdullah oh son of the messenger of Allah peace
[0:50]be upon you as many times as Allah has recorded in his
[0:54]infinite knowledge though my body was not present in carbala to answer
[0:59]your cry cry and your voice though my tongue could not speak
[1:03]in your defense.
[1:06]Today my heart, my hearing and my eyes have all responded to
[1:12]your call.
[1:12]Together we proclaim one voice.
[1:17][Music] Hussein.
[1:33]This is a poem describing the moment I im Hussein reaches Kbala.
[1:39]Rise O messenger of God and see this is Karbala fates decree.
[1:47]Here tomorrow pain shall fall.
[1:54]Here grief will rise and crush us all.
[1:56]These sands are written in the sky.
[2:00]Oh Hussein descend, prepare to die.
[2:04]Fate has spoken.
[2:07]Blade shall rain and dust shall drink.
[2:12]Our sacred slain.
[2:12]Rise, O grandfather, see my state.
[2:19]Death draws near.
[2:19]It will not wait.
[2:23]The ghost of sorrow haunts this land and pulls us with its
[2:29]bloody hand.
[2:28]It was right here I know too well where I was told
[2:34]my horse would fell.
[2:38]I'll drop from its back in agony as fate upholds its tyranny.
[2:42]Here swords will tear my flesh apart and blood will paint this
[2:51]earth of dark.
[2:50]Here I shall lie my limbs all torn and none shall shield
[2:56]me from the storm.
[3:00]Oh grandfather, it's here I dream that shimmer will come to take
[3:06]my head and raise it high on spears zile while mockers gaze
[3:11]and demons smile and to they will go to humiliate her in
[3:21]her wall or come to her before it's late before they chain
[3:26]her to her fate they will lie the tenants with a cruel
[3:33]flame and call it honor in your name.
[3:36]And when she cries in pain and fright, they will lash her
[3:39]back with all the their might.
[3:41]Oh, grandfather Carbella is here.
[3:45]The land of tears, the grave of fear, and time itself shall
[3:54]speak and say they fell as martyrs on this day.
[3:58][Music] In the name of Allah the entirely merciful, the especially merciful.
[4:14]Allahhana ta in chapter verses 97 and 98 he said Allah is
[4:41]speaking this verse about group of individuals ual that they were oppressed
[4:45]in different levels in different ways and types and kinds and Allah
[4:51]is requesting them why you did not migrate if you are oppressed
[4:56]in your lands.
[4:55]So allow me tonight to speak about the in a way the
[5:04]dispute, the challenge, the war between the oppressed group and the oppressors
[5:08]in the Quran and through the words of Bim and how we
[5:14]can connect that to im Hussein and the movement and the mission
[5:17]and vision and objectives of Hussein.
[5:19]Now we have two terms in the Quran.
[5:22]The word the first term is and we have another term called
[5:29]the term originate from the roots d weakness.
[5:34]But in Islamic context it does not merely mean being weak.
[5:40]You are trying to be strong but there's a group of people
[5:45]they are making sure that you will remain weak.
[5:49]The additional letters is indicate that this state is imposed upon a
[5:54]person or group through external pressures by oppressors.
[5:58]And the opposite of isikbar.
[6:02]So being oppressed is arrogance in a way and trying to lower
[6:12]the rank of the righteous group that they are trying to gain
[6:15]power so they can use that power in the right places.
[6:20]Now the act of attempting to dominate others and weaken them that's
[6:26]a stickbar.
[6:26]So you're dominating others and you're weakening them.
[6:31]Allah subhana wa ta'ala in the Quran another verse verse 75 he
[6:39]said so there's a relationship between and Allah the arrogant leaders those
[6:53]who are trying to get some power dominate and weaken others from
[6:57]among his people said to those who were oppressed so Now the
[7:02]Quran is trying to tell us every era, every century we have
[7:08]two camps, two groups, the group, the group.
[7:13]And now I will bring examples from the Quran from the lives
[7:17]of the prophets how we had that in all times.
[7:22]Now the oppressed must those the righteous group they display unwavering faith
[7:30]and strength of conviction they try to rise and the attempts to
[7:39]manipulate the oppressed and control their beliefs that's in a different type
[7:44]because we have oppression at the intellectual level we have oppression at
[7:48]the social level economical level Right now when it comes to this
[7:57]verse so also there's a conversation between the group and the group
[8:09]always in the Quran those who are arrogant will say to those
[8:16]who are oppressed did we block you from guidance after it had
[8:19]come to too.
[8:21]So as if the they are not just trying to weaken you
[8:26]at the economical physical level but also they are trying to block
[8:31]the right resources from reaching your minds and hearts.
[8:35]In other words they are blocking the religion of Allah subhana wa
[8:39]ta'ala to reach you so you can understand it and be on
[8:42]the straight path inshallah tala.
[8:44]So the oppressors, they use deception and socioeconomical pressure to misguide people
[8:50]on purpose.
[8:52]And the oppressed are often victims of systematic manipulation rather than outright
[9:00]rejection of faith.
[9:01]When you travel to the west, you will realize that it might
[9:08]be that the external image of people in the west, they are
[9:13]in a way um they are living at the materialistic level a
[9:20]higher level compared to the people in the east.
[9:23]But people in the west are oppressed at the intellectual level and
[9:26]we'll explain that inshallah.
[9:29]Now again definition of means being deliberately made weak, overpowered or socially,
[9:39]politically or spiritually often by tyrants or arrogant elites.
[9:45]That's why Allahh promised the not the I'm talking about the now
[9:54]the oppressed the weak and we are considered we are considered oppressed
[10:02]and we'll explain why Allah promised us in the Quran when read
[10:09]Allah is saying and we desire to show favor to those who
[10:14]were oppressed in the And Allah is promising the oppressed groups that
[10:22]Allah will make them imams and will make them the inheritors of
[10:29]the land, the earth.
[10:31]Inshallah, we are the generation of al- mai.
[10:34]May Allah hasten reappearance.
[10:38]al- Mai will come to take the hands of the oppressed.
[10:41]So together they can inshallah fill earth with justice and equity after
[10:48]it was filled with injustice and tyranny.
[10:48]Now the most famous story in the Quran that Allah used the
[10:57]term and the term is the story between prophet MS and Pharaoh.
[11:03]One of the most famous stories in the Quran.
[11:06]900 verses in the Quran Karim speaking just about the story of
[11:12]MS and Pharaoh.
[11:12]There is no chapter in the Quran Karim except you can find
[11:18]this story somewhere because it's the challenge the war the uh resistance
[11:24]of the oppressed and they are resisting the oppressors.
[11:29]Allah said I'm still following in the Quran the term.
[11:46]Allah saying Pharaoh exalted himself in the land.
[11:52]Allah in a sense that he became one of the greatest tyrants
[11:56]in human history.
[11:59]And we have tyrants at the end of times.
[12:00]They are like Pharaoh and made its people into factions, oppressing a
[12:10]group among them, slaughtering their sons and keeping their woman alive, using
[12:16]their wound as if their woman became permissible to him.
[12:19]And unfortunately, we have that these days.
[12:24]Now another example in the Quran Kharim, Prophet Muhammad peace be upon
[12:29]him and the idol worshippers in Mecca like Abu Sufyan, Abu Lahab,
[12:36]Abu Jahal.
[12:38]I call them the triple Aum.
[12:41]They were the oppressed group.
[12:44]Allah is telling them some verses to help them be patient and
[12:48]to help them resist.
[12:49]Especially the period the first 13 years the period of Mecca you
[12:56]know prophet Muhammad be upon him started his mission at the age
[12:59]of 40 secret invitation three years 43 to 53 he was in
[13:06]Mecca persecution prosecution pressures um torturing them kidnapping them killing them all
[13:13]forms of oppression Allah told them in one of the verses or
[13:17]do you think you will enter paradise without such trials as came
[13:23]to those who passed away before you as I told you every
[13:28]century every era there is oppressors there is oppressed and by the
[13:32]way there's a third group they are watching you know it's like
[13:37]watching a game two teams challenging each other and there's the audience
[13:41]but definitely there's audience supporting team Audience supporting team B inshallah if
[13:48]we will not be in the killed.
[13:50]At least we have to support the oppressed, not the oppressors.
[13:55]Or do you think you will enter paradise without such trials as
[13:59]came to those who passed away before you?
[14:03]They were afflicted with severe poverty and hardships and were so shaken
[14:09]that even the messenger and those with him said when the help
[14:15]of Allah come when the victory of Allah will come unquestionably the
[14:19]victory of Allah is near.
[14:21]The victory is near.
[14:28]Whether you will pass away your age will end.
[14:30]So you will see the victory of the afterlife or Allah will
[14:33]give you some time to witness inshallah the arrival of al mahi
[14:36]and the victory of the believers on earth.
[14:40]By the way Allahh promised us in the Quran that believers never
[14:46]lose.
[14:46]Either they die and they are victorious in the afterlife or they
[14:51]Allah will give them more age in this duny and they will
[14:53]witness inshallah the religion of Allah prevail over all religions.
[14:58]Now the other campbal it's a story of couple hours on the
[15:08]10th of Muaram but it summarize the entire movement of mankind because
[15:11]we have two camps we have the oppressors and we have the
[15:16]oppressed and as you noticed in Kbala always the oppressors are greater
[15:22]in numbers 30,000 versus 72 loyal committed devoted sincere honest righteous individuals,
[15:30]spirits, souls and companions of Hussein.
[15:34]Allah subhana wa ta'ala he said that he rejects the oppressors.
[15:44]Do you see my verses my signs?
[15:48]In a way Allah subhana ta will turn away all these lights
[15:54]from the arrogant oppressors in this land.
[15:57]in a way that they have no way that they will be
[16:04]guided.
[16:02]Allah also said in the history of prophets every time Allah will
[16:20]send a messenger.
[16:20]This is very interesting that their selves did not like that person.
[16:28]You know as if we have to ask the ignorant ones h
[16:34]their opinion about if they like this messenger or not.
[16:37]Allah has said they acted arrogantly.
[16:41]So some of you denied this messenger and some of you killed
[16:49]that messenger.
[16:49]I remember when we were taking class I told the teacher that
[16:55]subhan Allah Allah mentioned that as if the oppressors will be divided
[16:59]into two groups.
[17:02]The first group will work on trying to ruin the image of
[17:05]that messenger using media using some forces mocking that individual and if
[17:12]it didn't work the other group will kill that individual.
[17:16]Now when it comes to the stories of the prophets, you know,
[17:24]Imam Saddak Alam told us and I were asking myself why surah
[17:28]f is the surah of Im Hussein.
[17:33]You know we have interpretation in the Quran and we believe that
[17:36]surah from the words of Imaff it's the surah speaking about Im
[17:42]Hussein Alisam and because of the last three verses or tranquil spirit
[17:47]return to your lord well pleased with him and well pleasing to
[17:50]him enter my paradise with my servants so be because we believe
[17:56]that Allahh he's the one who called the soul of Imam Hussein
[17:59]to depart from his body Now why is the surah ofam and
[18:07]I think many of you memorize this chapter as you noticed you
[18:12]have then Allah all of the sudden will start speaking about oppressors
[18:29]oppressors oppressors.
[18:34]So this surah is speaking about oppressors versus oppressed.
[18:40]Now there's no time to explain the entire surah.
[18:42]It require a lecture by itself.
[18:44]But if there is a stories in the Quran Kharim speaking about
[18:50]the challenge the war between the oppressed and the oppressors is these
[18:56]three stories versus prophethood right and versus prophet and prophet MS versus
[19:07]we have Allah he's mentioning in the Quran Inah verse 15 that
[19:20]they did and again what is using natural resources to gain dominance
[19:27]and weaken another groups especially the righteous groups.
[19:31]Allah said as for they behaved arrogantly upon the earth without right
[19:45]and said who is mightier than us in strength.
[19:49]You know we have these planes they can go bomb anywhere in
[19:53]the world for example they who is mightier than us in strength
[19:59]right they are showing off and they are oppressing other groups and
[20:06]they are killing people unjustly.
[20:07]Another verse versus prophet.
[20:14]The same terms Allah is using applying those terms on the story
[20:21]of prophet Salah and the people of Tammud.
[20:24]The arrogant elite among his people said to the oppressed who believed,
[20:27]"Do you know for certain that Salah is sent from his Lord?"
[20:30]They were questioning.
[20:32]They replied, "Indeed, we believed in what he has been sent with."
[20:36]who is testifying that they believed in salah the oppressed the groups
[20:42]now versus prophet Muhammad [Music] now so the oppressed they trust in
[20:56]Allah they receive divine support they are promised leadership in the Quran
[21:00]the oppressors they trust in themselves they mock divine guidance And they
[21:07]face divine wrath and they are promised a humiliation by Allah subhana
[21:10]wa ta'ala.
[21:17]Now types of oppression.
[21:21]Now kinds types of oppression one intellectual oppression.
[21:26]Allahh very interesting verse in the Quran.
[21:29]He says, "So when the angels they come to remove the souls
[21:40]of certain individuals who oppressed themselves, the angels are asking these individuals
[21:48]why you are ignorant, why you didn't know about the religion of
[21:54]Allahhana?" Please, this is very interesting especially for us living in the
[22:03]west.
[22:03]So these souls, the angels will be telling them why you know
[22:06]nothing about Allah, why you know nothing about Quran?
[22:09]Why you know nothing about Islam?
[22:10]Why you know nothing about prophet Muhammad?
[22:13]Why you know nothing about?
[22:14]So they will answer we were oppressed in the land.
[22:19]meaning TV, internet, social media blocked all the religious resources from reaching
[22:27]us.
[22:33]You didn't have another resource to travel somewhere else so you can
[22:39]find these true resources because naturally me and you, we have natural
[22:45]questions.
[22:44]We ask questions about existence, who we are, why we're created, what
[22:50]we are coming to do here, where we are heading after life.
[22:53]Every soul, every human being who has sane intellect will ask such
[22:58]questions.
[23:00]True.
[22:59]So there's some souls who were always distracted and they were manipulated
[23:06]by the system.
[23:06]You know, we have a very strong system these days.
[23:10]So for example, if you're between the ages of 13 to 17,
[23:15]the system is creating for you a full schedule, sports, social media.
[23:20]Some youth, they unfortunately they don't have two hours a week to
[23:27]come and seek Islamic resources and we did some programs once a
[23:33]week, two hours and a half just for them them to listen
[23:34]to some true resources about Islam and Quran and Allahh.
[23:38]And still some youth they can't give you two hours a week
[23:42]because the system is pressuring them is not allowing them to ponder
[23:49]reflect to have some break and to actually ponder about their existence.
[23:53]Every single one of us at least we have to give two
[23:57]to three hours a week just for us actually to gain Islamic
[24:01]knowledge to understand the religion of Allahhana tala.
[24:08]The angels will ask us did you have a way to reach
[24:15]these resources after life?
[24:16]Allahh said if they had a way to gain and reach these
[24:20]resources unfortunately Allah said in the Quran so if there is a
[24:32]way for you to reach these Islamic resources and you didn't put
[24:34]that effort or sacrificed some entertainment for you to gain that Islamic
[24:40]knowledge unfortunately the verse is saying that you might end up in
[24:44]the hellfire.
[24:45]But Allah said there is one exception except those who were oppressed
[24:56]actually and they didn't have any way to reach and to access
[25:00]these resources.
[25:03]Allah said Allah might forgive them because they were really oppressed.
[25:06]Now I want to ask you a question.
[25:08]We're living in 2025.
[25:09]having internet now and AI.
[25:13]Do you think any one of us has any excuse especially that
[25:17]we have online we have like we can access you in person
[25:23]and online in that sense.
[25:24]Now this is the first type of oppression which is called the
[25:27]intellectual oppression and this is the highest level of oppression.
[25:33]So divine justice does not punish those who were deprived of knowledge.
[25:39]Two, responsibility only applies to those with access to the truth who
[25:46]willingly reject it.
[25:45]Imam Ali Alisam said an ignorant person is not the same as
[25:53]one who has been deprived of knowledge.
[25:54]You know especially you find some streets in Detroit truly those individuals
[26:01]are the most oppressed.
[26:03]Especially when music is blocking their minds and hearts and they are
[26:10]creating a false culture of themselves to corrupt them and they are
[26:16]not allowing them to purify themselves or discipline themselves.
[26:19]Now second the practical oppression.
[26:22]After the intellectual oppression we have the practical oppression.
[26:26]And the first type of the practical oppression is the political and
[26:29]economical oppression.
[26:31]And we see that around the globe unfortunately now political and economical
[26:38]oppression manifested through tyrannical rule, military aggression, economical exploitation.
[26:42]Allahh said in one of the famous verses in the Quran surah
[26:48]verse 75.
[26:50]And what is the matter with you that you fight not in
[26:53]the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and
[26:58]children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this city of
[27:01]oppressive people and appoint for us from yourself a protector and appoint
[27:06]for us from yourself a helper." Allah might ask the oppressed group,
[27:11]"Why you did not fight in the cause of Allah?
[27:13]You resisted to gain some part to free yourself from that oppression.
[27:18]Again, Imm Hassan taught us that.
[27:22]Now, Islamic obligations.
[27:25]Muslims must assist the oppressed through education for the intellectually oppressed, economical
[27:30]aid and defensive resistance.
[27:33]Now, what is the future of the oppressed in the lands?
[27:38]Subhan Allah.
[27:40]The only place to gain some hope after witnessing all the darkness
[27:47]and all that oppression is the Quran Kar.
[27:51]The only book that can give us hope and we can gain
[27:54]positivity from it.
[27:57]Especially living in this era in this time.
[28:00]Allahh said then Allah promised us when we read Allah promised us
[28:19]that we want to come for favor upon those who are oppressed
[28:22]in the land and make them leaders and make them inheritors.
[28:26]Now I im Hussein in this land one oppression Immad Alam said
[28:37]is of three types.
[28:40]One that Allah will not forgive, one that he forgives and one
[28:43]that he does not leave unpunished.
[28:46]When you do oppression against Allah himself, what we call polytheism, that's
[28:51]also oppression.
[28:55]Allah said and he promised that he will never forgive polytheism.
[29:01]Imam Saddak said the greatest oppression is when someone worship a god
[29:07]other than Allah or claims that Allah has a son.
[29:08]And again going back to the intellectual oppression that is not allowing
[29:14]us to remove polytheism through the right resources.
[29:16]Second oppression against oneself.
[29:20]You are oppressing yourself.
[29:23]Im Ali taught us in dua that when we commit sins or
[29:27]we hurt other people, we are hurting nobody but ourselves.
[29:31]And two words in the imam Ali said, "Whoever is negligent of
[29:38]purifying their souls has indeed oppressed themselves." And Allah said we did
[29:46]not wrong them in the Quran, but they wronged themselves.
[29:48]And the third type of oppression is someone oppressing others.
[29:57]And definitely we need to seek forgiveness from others.
[29:59]And by the way, if we are working inshallah to be the
[30:06]companions of the imam of our time then and we are trying
[30:08]inshallah to spread justice and peace then I I have to become
[30:13]a source of justice and peace.
[30:14]So if I oppress myself or oppress Allah or oppress others, Im
[30:18]Mi will never select me to be one of his loyal companions.
[30:24]Now two points and we conclude.
[30:28]One, who are the oppressed groups?
[30:30]From the words of Imam Ali, a narration from Salman Pharisee, he
[30:39]said the messenger of Allah said the oppressed in the verse.
[30:43]Do you know this verse that Allah made oath that he will
[30:47]make the oppressed in the land gain the resources and be the
[30:53]inheritors?
[30:53]Salman Pharisee taught us that prophet Muhammad said the oppressed in this
[30:56]verse are the family of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
[30:59]And second from Imam Jaffer Alisam he said the messenger of Allah
[31:07]looked at Ali Hassan and Hussein and they cried and said you
[31:11]are the oppressed after me and you are the oppressed groups.
[31:13]And also Im Ali Alisam said the oppressed in the land mentioned
[31:17]in the book whom Allah will make them leaders are us the
[31:24]B.
[31:24]Allah will send their mi and he will honor them and he
[31:27]humiliate their enemies.
[31:31]Im saddam said al mai will fill the earth with justice and
[31:35]equiquity just as it was filled with oppression and tyranny.
[31:38]and also Imam Alisam he said in Sunni resources then a young
[31:46]man will be sent from the east calling to the B of
[31:51]the prophet they are the people with the black banners the oppressed
[31:55]he called them the people of the black banners the oppressed Allah
[32:01]will honor them and grant them victory and no one will fight
[32:04]them except that they will defeat them and inshallah We are living
[32:10]in this time and we are witnessing these black banners and inshallah
[32:13]they will be the victorious until they hand this banner to the
[32:21]Imam of our time.
[32:21]And final point why Im Hussein was the oppressed in Kbala.
[32:25]One you have to understand that the victim in Kbalah was the
[32:31]grandson of the prophet himself.
[32:33]that the prophet in Sunni and Shi sources he said Hussein is
[32:36]from me and I am from Hussein may Allah love whoever loves
[32:42]Hussein and you know now imagine you're talking to a brother or
[32:45]sister from the Sunni school of thought and telling them why you
[32:47]don't mourn or cry or weep like us for IM Hussein who
[32:52]was oppressed in that way in Kbalah and in your books and
[32:55]in our books Allah is saying Allah will love those who love
[33:00]what Hussein always when you speak to a brother or sister in
[33:03]Sunni school thought make them understand that Hussein is not just our
[33:06]im he's the im of all the Muslims.
[33:09]Second, there was no religious, legal or human justification for these individuals
[33:15]to kill Hussein.
[33:17]I don't know if you read the speech that Imam Hussein gave
[33:19]in the 10th of Muaram where he asked them did I kill
[33:24]anyone?
[33:25]Did I hurt anyone?
[33:25]Did I oppress anyone?
[33:27]He start counting if there's any religious or legal or human justification
[33:31]for you to come and hurt me and my family.
[33:36]Imam Al Bakr said no one was killed unjustly like Al Hussein.
[33:41]He was slaughtered like a sheep and not even buried properly.
[33:45]Imagine has to mention such thing.
[33:49]Three, refusing allegiance is not a crime.
[33:55]We live in democracy, right?
[33:58]Immiam openly, he said, "I will never give allegiance to Abu Bakr."
[34:04]He was practicing his freedom of speech, freedom of religion.
[34:08]Imam when he refused to give allegiance to Yazid, that's not a
[34:16]crime.
[34:14]And Allah said in the Quran, no compulsion in religion.
[34:22]You can't force anyone to be religious.
[34:24]So I im Hassan refusal to pledge allegiance to Zid with a
[34:30]religious and moral stance against a corrupt regime even by worldly laws
[34:34]refusing to support a tyrant is not rebellion.
[34:37]It's an integrity.
[34:38]For taking women and children to war, one of the signs that
[34:48]Im Hassan did not want war that he took the children with
[34:50]them.
[34:52]Imam Sajad said we were taken like captives from Iraq to Syria
[34:58]while the people were looking at us as if we were slaves
[35:03]and we were the family of the prophet.
[35:07]One of these statements that break my heart in the 10th of
[35:13]Muharam that Hussein said to them in Arabic leave me to go
[35:18]to a safe place.
[35:19]Five, he requested safe passage.
[35:23]They refused.
[35:22]Imm Hussein offered peaceful alternatives.
[35:25]He said, "Let me return or let me go to any border
[35:31]region or let me go to Yazid directly." He was about to
[35:37]stand like say the zanab.
[35:37]But subhan Allah, Allah made the voice of Hussein bizab in the
[35:43]palace of Yazid.
[35:44]Six, he gave sermons to awaken their consciousness.
[35:47]You know we have this term in Arabic called the proof was
[35:54]completed and perfected.
[35:55]When Im Hussein every word he said inbalah it was completing the
[36:02]proof in a sense to make this tragedy the greatest.
[36:05]No one is able to say in Islamic history or to justify
[36:11]that they killed him by accident because he made a speech he
[36:14]spoke to complete that proof and he told them more than one
[36:21]time.
[36:22]Subhan Allah.
[36:20]Obvious statements from Hussein.
[36:24]Go back to your hearts and examine who am I?
[36:30]I am the son of your prophet.
[36:33]I'm the grandson of this prophet.
[36:34]I'm the son of Ali and Fatima.
[36:36]Oh people, reflect on who am I?
[36:41]I'm the son of your prophet's daughter.
[36:47]7 30,000 against 72.
[36:52]You know, at the end before they killed Hussein, the tribes were
[36:58]in dispute among themselves.
[37:00]Every tribe was pushing the other tribe because they didn't want history
[37:09]to record that this family killed Hussein.
[37:11]Imam Saj said Hussein and his companions was slaughtered while thirsty and
[37:17]the heavens and the earth wept for them.
[37:20]Now you killed the men.
[37:22]The oppression continues.
[37:22]They burned the tents.
[37:24]They trampled his body.
[37:27]Okay, you killed him.
[37:30]Why you're continuing that oppression out of hatred, envy, jealousy, hatred?
[37:37]Say the Zanab said this statement.
[37:43]I don't know if you heard it before.
[37:46]As if it's a permanent envy that that it was written before
[37:52]creation.
[37:54]Subhan Allah.
[37:55]Imam Bakr said 10 horsemen were ordered to crush the body of
[38:01]Al Hussein under their hooves and Imam Sajad said my aunt Zanab
[38:05]was protecting the orphan children running from tent to tent as they
[38:11]were burning.
[38:10]Now that's why Kabala indeed the greatest tragedy in human history.
[38:18]Now the story when Im Hassan in the second of Muaram arrived
[38:24]to Kbalahuham Muhammad.
[38:35]You know after the people of Kufa pledge allegiance to Imam Hussein,
[38:42]Imam Hussein set out on his journey toward Iraq.
[38:45]As he neared its borders, he was confronted by a commander sent
[38:48]by the governor of Kuf.
[38:51]Alur told Imam that he would accompany him, but in reality, he
[38:57]was tasked with restricting the Imam's movement.
[39:01]Then came the cruel order from the tyrant Nazi forced Hussein to
[39:06]stop in a place far from any fortress and far from water.
[39:11]As so Alhar began to narrow the path of the Imam, obstructing
[39:15]him and leading him into the barren wilderness.
[39:19]On the second of Muharam, Imam Hussein reached the plains of Kabala.
[39:23]His horse suddenly stopped.
[39:26]It would not move forward.
[39:30]Some narrations even say that Hussein switch horses yet no horse would
[39:34]move from that spot.
[39:34]He asked about the name of the land.
[39:37]Zerb said, "Move forward, oh son of the messenger of Allah.
[39:43]Do not ask about this place until God bring this land is
[39:49]called." Others said, "It's called Na." O son of the prophet.
[39:53]Imam Hussein then asked, "Does it have another name?" They replied, "Yes,
[39:59]it's called Kbalah." Upon hearing this abdah eyes filled with tears, he
[40:06]said, Oh Allah, I seek refugee in you from grief and trial.
[40:17]It means sorrow and grief.
[40:21]It means blood beyond belief.
[40:25]It means the martyrs cry their names remembered through their dy.
[40:32]It means veils torn away.
[40:35]It means tents burned in dismay.
[40:40]Carbala it means a flood of pain, heart shattered tears like endless
[40:49]rain.
[40:47]Carbala it means chains and captivity.
[40:51]Kbal means cheeks wet with weeping endlessly.
[40:56]It means patience held so strong.
[41:03]It means resilience.
[41:03]When all feels wrong, it means grief since time began.
[41:09]Where death embraced every clan.
[41:15]Carbala farewells and cries for kin.
[41:19]A tragedy no soul cannot hold within.
[41:23]Carbal means a noble lady enslaved.
[41:26]Carbala were sacred cloaks were set a place.
[41:31]It means the prophet's house was chained.
[41:36]It means oh again.
[41:40]Then Imam Hussein set this mount here.
[41:43]This is where our beast shall rest.
[41:50]This is where our blood shall be shed by Allah.
[41:52]Here our woman shall be violated by Allah.
[41:55]Here our men shall be slain by Allah.
[41:59]Here our children shall be slaughtered by Allah.
[42:03]This is where our graves shall be visited.
[42:07]My grandfather, the messenger of Allah, has promised me this land and
[42:12]his word never fails.
[42:15]Then the imam dismounted from his horse.
[42:17]In another narration, it is said that he took a handful of
[42:21]the soil, smelled it, and reflected deeply.
[42:24]His gaze turned to the horizon of the plains as if he
[42:29]were remembering his grandfather's words, the prophecies of Kerbala.
[42:32]He raised his head and cried.
[42:35]He raised his head and called out, "Our Lord, have mercy.
[42:42]Near me now.
[42:46]We've reached Karbala.
[42:45]No thee I bow.
[42:49]Beside you, oh eternal one.
[42:50]I have no help, no other none.
[42:52]I see my brother without his hands fallen beside me in these
[43:00]sands and sorrows strike him in the eye.
[43:05]From that one blow my hopes all die.
[43:08]I see our Lord what's soon to be.
[43:11]My children taken bound and grieved.
[43:13]I see young ones begin to weep for they saw my head
[43:17]raised high and steep.
[43:20]He looked at his family and companions with eye full of love
[43:23]and sorrow.
[43:25]He knew that soon their limbs would be severed and their bodies
[43:28]would lie scattered on this very land.
[43:31]The imam raised his hand in supplication and grief and said, "Oh
[43:38]Allah, we are the family of your prophet Muhammad.
[43:42]We have been driven out, cast away and forced from your sanctuary
[43:47]of our grandfather the have transgressed against us.
[43:53]Oh Allah, take back our right and rank victory over the oppressed.
[43:58][Music] Allah.
[44:12]Oh Allah in the name of Hussein and his grandfather the prophet
[44:20]and his mother Fatim Zah and his father Ali Ali.
[44:22]Allah hasten the reappearance of the Imam for our time I im
[44:27]m and make us among his inshallah sincere and loyal companions to
[44:31]the pure souls or of our deceased to the souls of the
[44:38]martyrs and the scholars and all the oppressed we send to their
[44:41]pure souls the reward of chapter al fat after.
[44:43][Music]
