[0:14]brothers and sisters let's begin right away speaking tonight on the martyrdom

[0:23]of Imam al-hassan we have our dear scholar Hassan so please help

[0:27]me welcome him to the mumbar with three loud salawat Allah Muhammad

[3:33]third in honor of the Imam which we honor today the first

[3:41]born grandson the one to make the prophet a grandfather the second

[3:46]Imam of Imam Hassan with your loudest of voices respected brothers and

[4:03]sisters no figure in Islamic history has been a bullseye to defamation

[4:12]allegation accusation like the figure known as if ever you wanted to

[4:22]study any figure in world history you look into the multiplicity of

[4:27]perspectives that discuss their character the irony of all ironies is that

[4:33]when one examines the perspectives given about Imam you tend to find

[4:38]a general consensus that a Imam al-hasan subject to reverence and significance

[4:48]by default being the grandson of rasulullah nothing more nothing less as

[4:53]in whenever you ask most people and the sad reality is even

[4:57]those who adhere to the school of thought that subscribes to that

[5:03]Imam of God on earth and the three-fourths of the Muslim World

[5:07]why do you venerate and hold to such a high status many

[5:12]cannot tell you beyond the maternal reasons beyond the familial reasons he

[5:19]is either son of someone and that is why I love him

[5:24]or the father of someone that is why I love him or

[5:28]the grandson of someone that is why I love him for these

[5:30]reasons you see that this falls short in actually honoring people because

[5:37]now we've opened up Royal ship we've opened up sovereignties we've opened

[5:41]up Kingdom and dynasties I will love you you because of who

[5:44]you're related to and in Islam that's not how we subject our

[21:39]know who's guarding the outside of the cave one of them is

[29:09]a third person the third person has a quality the Hadith says

[29:14]his face resembles that of the shiny coin the dinar radiating and

[31:14]Left Behind from so that's a theological construct you don't give that

[31:23]away Allah says I pick the he gave away political Authority you

[31:32]don't have to be a political ruler Khalifa you don't have to

[31:36]sit on a chair that has the word Khalifa written on top

[31:38]in order to act upon here's the other sad misconception have you

[31:45]ever heard that Imam al-hasan alaihissalam was known to get married a

[31:48]lot many have it's a rumor that lives till today work tirelessly

[31:56]to bring down the image of Imam al-hasan and they said that

[32:02]he would only invest and care about marrying and getting divorces more

[32:06]particularly the divorces and there's there are a Hadith that have even

[32:10]crept into our works of narration that say things such as do

[32:19]not marry al-hasan for he is always does divorce you know the

[32:28]term your taste he has bad taste who's narrating this Hadith by

[32:33]the way supposedly Imam Ali is standing he says do not marry

[32:37]my son he always divorces and he always has bad taste number

[32:41]one does this make sense in the nature of how a proper

[32:43]family Dynamic behaves with the father and son just naturally no let

[32:47]alone Hassan's relationship was beautiful don't let orientalists tell you don't let

[32:55]fake a Hadith tell you why because one day Imam one day

[33:01]stand up in kufa today I'm tired you give the hotel would

[34:17]work according to uh the Contemporary scholar from Yemen he's like it

[34:23]is the most reliable manuscript after Muslim the kernel of the hearts

[34:32]who was a third Century erudite scholar he has in his book

[34:38]Ali when he died he got married to 400 women in his

[34:45]life how in one moment by the way because when he died

[34:48]400 ladies ran out of his house hitting their heads like this

[34:55]how he died so he concluded these 400 must have all been

[34:58]his wives first of all the house of Imam Hassan is not

[35:01]a house that can hold 400 people and that's not that doesn't

[35:03]make any logic logical sense number two if your conclusion that Imam

[35:07]hasn't got married and divorced 400 times by the amount of ladies

[35:12]who are attending his funeral but he were in big trouble because

[35:15]there was an island like maybe 40 years ago when he died

[35:19]maybe eight million people attended his funeral maybe one in um if

[35:23]that's the metric of how we say how many people got married

[35:28]and divorced then that's a lousy way but these are just sad

[35:31]low jobs pejoratives against Imam you don't have anything else you have

[35:34]to make these things he was invested in the Dunya more so

[35:39]than the Akra and unfortunately even contemporary scholarship has attached to that

[35:44]the respected Professor Victoria wonderful man I've had the pleasure of seeing
