[0:30]salatu was-salam I learned a bee honey mommy him say you tian
[0:37]di la la la elevator play a veena paw here in el
[0:51]macho mean Alma Carla mean see Ahmad appear to LA Phil Arlene
[0:54]haha jetty a little fella I mean Rajat even L Hassan al-amin
[1:03]illallah wa salli ala ali and Amir al-mumineen or a film or
[1:14]Celine Papa I didn't or will muhajireen well eh Wow yes he
[1:19]can Cobra whenever L darling today I'm here to share with you
[1:35]a few stories in favor fables from the life of Imam Ali
[1:40]alehissalaam and the aim is to rekindle our relationship with this great
[1:48]man when we get to know him better we will fall in
[1:59]love with him we will strengthen our bond with him and once
[2:04]this happens will embrace him follow him imitate him because it's all
[2:14]about love love is so powerful a lot of people talk about
[2:25]love but the difference between us and everyone else as we emphasize
[2:33]the importance of who to love love is not just an abstract
[2:45]notion or a hollow concept it has implications who to love how
[2:50]to love and what does it entail to love whom we should
[3:00]love why had a Dean in alphab well ball mom sadiq ali
[3:04]salam says it's all about love in kuntum to have borne a
[3:11]laugh at to be only you have called law if you love
[3:14]God then follow me as if when you love God then you
[3:23]will develop a relationship with His Messenger and then start to follow
[3:30]him but the question is we have no control over our hearts
[3:35]we can't direct our hearts to love or hate there are certain
[3:39]characteristics and traits if present in a person your your heart would
[3:49]would will all will automatically fall in love with that person this
[3:53]is why we're here today to speak about some of the features
[3:57]of amirul mumineen and if we were to introduce a mirror woman
[4:02]into the world everyone would fall in love with him the prophet
[4:10]sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in an authentic hadith when I say authentic
[4:16]I mean scholars spend years of their lives to filter out the
[4:26]weak non-authentic hadith and to establish the authenticity of a narration they
[4:33]study the chain of narrators one-by-one examine their lives who they were
[4:39]how they behaved who vouched for them before they say that this
[4:43]narration is authentic and that the chain of narrators are truthful people
[4:48]if there is someone that is not known in the chain of
[4:54]narrators no one has talked ill of that person no one has
[4:59]vouched for that person people wouldn't the scholars wouldn't take that hadith
[5:04]as an authentic hadith so that this hadith narrated by the Prophet
[5:09]is an authentic hadith and maybe this hadith is is a motivator
[5:18]hadith meaning so many people have narrated this hadith from different denominations
[5:22]different sects that it's literally impossible for them to come together and
[5:27]conspire to fabricate this hadith people from different backgrounds all walks of
[5:35]life they've narrated this hadith the Prophet said Ali in her Senate
[5:45]on lot of Obama hacia the love of Ali is a good
[5:51]character that would repel all the negative characters because once you love
[6:01]Ameer al-mumineen you'll embrace him one day Imam Ali Ali has Salam
[6:10]leaves his home in Kufa you probably know that a miracle Amin
[6:19]was based in Medina but after he assumed power he relocated to
[6:24]the city of Kufa back then the city of Kufa was just
[6:30]a province that belonged to the Muslim empire and it had a
[6:36]governor that was appointed by the Caliph so I'm hearing mommy moves
[6:40]to the city of Kufa but instead of moving to the Palace
[6:48]of the governor the city had a governor this governor had a
[6:53]palace he dwelled inside the palace and the people that have been
[6:59]to the holy city of Najaf and the holy city of Kufa
[7:01]and visited the Grand Mosque in Kufa you've probably seen that big
[7:11]spacious land adjacent to the mosque to the Grand Mosque of Kufa
[7:15]this was where the palace was now it's turned into a swamp
[7:22]amirul mumineen refused to dwell in the palace and instead he built
[7:27]himself a house from clay with his own hands a very modest
[7:32]house so the imam leaves his house and he's walking in the
[7:44]street without any bodyguards why even though many people hated amir in
[7:50]harmony he was a polarizing figure but not because he had wronged
[7:55]them not because he had done any injustice to them but for
[8:03]other reasons so even his enemies respected him while air a delta
[8:08]fatima an aunt you know why we see some politicians or ruler
[8:13]rulers there so heavily guarded because they've killed a lot of people
[8:18]and a murderer should expect to be murdered that's why we see
[8:26]in some countries their rulers they have a motorcade of a hundred
[8:33]cars all bulletproof people like Saddam used to travel with hundreds if
[8:39]not thousands of bodyguards and sometimes out of paranoia he would use
[8:43]a different route and ride another car in secrecy so that people
[8:49]wouldn't know that's him because chances are they might target his car
[8:53]because he has killed millions of people displaced millions of people he
[8:58]should expect that but with Amir al-mumineen he doesn't want any bodyguards
[9:04]because he's a just person he hasn't wronged anyone you might say
[9:10]that eventually he was assassinated yes he was and he told his
[9:14]his killer even imagine a cell Imam can't elect was I did
[9:21]I do any evil did I ever wronged you yeah I'm normal
[9:26]Jim he said if I enter to entitlement fin Aria Ali it's
[9:29]not because of you I'm going to hell anyway it's because of
[9:36]me I'm an evil person and I'm you know I mean used
[9:39]to wear modest clothes in fact when he entered the city of
[9:45]Kufa he was greeted by thousands of people back then the population
[9:49]of the city of Kufa was around 4 million people so they
[9:56]came to greet the new caliph the Imam came he delivered a
[10:00]very beautiful sermon he said yeah a little Kufa I am entering
[10:03]your city with only a garment that covers my the upper part
[10:10]of my body and a garment that covers the lower part of
[10:12]my body like two towels like a harem and my sir and
[10:17]my sword and my mule the one that I'm riding on if
[10:21]I left your city or departed departed this world with anything more
[10:25]than what I have right now what I possess right now right
[10:31]now consider me a traitor someone who has betrayed your trust he's
[10:34]setting a precedent for himself and for the people that would come
[10:41]after him and anyone that wants to preside and rule over the
[10:45]Muslim nation and look at the disparity between how Amir al-mumineen ruled
[10:51]and how people are ruling today you wouldn't find a ruler in
[10:54]any part of the world that was like Amir al-mumineen Adi sonam
[10:58]so just the radar and the Azhar and if someone comes to
[11:06]ask him a question and walk with Amir al-mumineen who would stop
[11:11]answer his question then would walk alone he doesn't want to walk
[11:15]with an entourage he doesn't want to feel like he's he's the
[11:23]ruler he's the president modest clothes modest shoes and wants to walk
[11:31]alone because he wants to be approachable he wants to be accessible
[11:37]he wants everyone the poorest subjects in his kingdom to be able
[11:47]to have access to him to approach him in fact he wanted
[11:51]the poor ones the people who had nowhere to go to be
[11:58]able to approach him to seek help from him they say that
[12:01]the commander the faithful every single day he would lead the congregational
[12:06]prayer public venue everyone was allowed to come to the mosque and
[12:11]after the salat fortitude Fedya he would spend some time doing taffy
[12:19]but until sunrise after sunrise all the people could come and ask
[12:24]him questions asking for help and a lot of beggars would come
[12:27]and beg him for money public access to Amir in Romani while
[12:35]in the world today the more important you get if you climb
[12:39]the ladder of success the harder it will be for people to
[12:45]have access to you to approach you but I mean what I
[12:48]mean wasn't like that he wouldn't wear anything intimidating he wouldn't walk
[12:53]with people so that people wouldn't be able to come and ask
[13:00]him questions absolutely not because he wouldn't rely on worldly factors he
[13:06]would rely on allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala one day the commander of the
[13:15]faithful met with someone people didn't know who that man was that
[13:19]man said to the Imam yeah Amir al-mumineen mah a senator although
[13:25]I learn er a little ah isn't it nice when rich people
[13:29]people affluent people who are wealthy would show humility towards poor people
[13:35]for Allah subhana WA Ta'ala isn't it nice a mutiny and said
[13:43]what's nicer and what's better is T wooden folk are all Allen
[13:48]Avni are ethical and Allah is when a poor person becomes arrogant
[13:58]when he or she sees a rich person because naturally we are
[14:04]dispositioned to respect people with wealth hey Bill Gates just came inside
[14:09]this hall everyone would get up everyone would respect Bill Gates because
[14:12]if he is wealth Amina Dominions says that if you're a poor
[14:17]person then you should be you should feel confident not in yourself
[14:23]because you don't have anything to rely on but rely on Allah
[14:28]subhana WA Ta'ala don't stand up for this rich person because if
[14:31]you stand up for him you're standing up for his money and
[14:36]his money is worthless have confidence in God so amirul mumineen wouldn't
[14:43]walk in the street arrogantly well.item she fell out of the Mallahan
[14:49]he was a walking talking or on some people they become confident
[14:54]relying on their degrees on their credentials on the position that they
[15:03]hold and that's wrong why because once this position is taken away
[15:12]from you once these credentials are there limb is taken away from
[15:15]you because this can happen you will lose all the respect because
[15:17]you relied on this for respect I remember there was a a
[15:22]minister in Iraq he was in nobody before he was appointed as
[15:30]a minister after he became a minister it became so arrogant he
[15:34]wouldn't walk alone even when it was safe to do so and
[15:39]when however he talked as if it was the ministry talking then
[15:45]after a while he was second I saw him and he seemed
[15:53]to me like a woman who was one Supre beautiful and she
[15:57]relied on her beauty now she's old and frail she she she
[16:01]feels ashamed of herself when she sees herself in the mirror he
[16:05]relied on his position now the position is gone so you rely
[16:11]on Allah subhana WA Ta'ala the confidence comes from Allah subhana WA
[16:16]Ta'ala never have confidence in your own strength because your own strength
[16:21]can fail you some beta nominees working the street when all of
[16:26]a sudden he sees a young lady who was was sitting on
[16:33]the side of the road and was crying brokenhearted crying young lady
[16:40]Amira nominee and himself goes towards that lady now Ameer al-mumineen had
[16:51]all the credentials and praises from whom from allah subhanaw taala from
[17:00]the prophet hundreds if not thousands of traditions praising a mere moment
[17:08]Ali Salaam so he wasn't expecting that woman or the people who
[17:12]were there to praise him in helping that lady absolutely not and
[17:16]he was the ultimate king the ultimate ruler of the Muslim world
[17:27]in the world today why do politicians your local MP or local
[17:32]congressman would help you because they expect you to vote for them
[17:35]in the neck selection that's why when you go when you visit
[17:40]them and ask them for help they first of all verify if
[17:47]you're a constituent if you can vote for them if you can't
[17:50]vote for them they tell you to go to the to the
[17:54]congressman of your of your district they wouldn't help you because they
[17:58]either do it for fame or they do it so that you
[18:02]would vote for them and by voting for them they get all
[18:03]the money they get all the fame they get all the media
[18:08]attention but when you help someone and not expect anything in return
[18:13]that's the best form of charity to help someone and not expect
[18:21]anything in return and that's something very difficult to do imagine you
[18:26]want to help someone like give him financial help when you give
[18:31]that money to them they are naturally disposition to like someone that
[18:37]helps them right so how about if you wire the fund secretly
[18:41]without knowing what the source of the money was it's very difficult
[18:47]because you're not getting any credit for it even if you're doing
[18:50]it for God but you still feel happy when they're happy and
[18:53]know that you gave them the money but if you do it
[18:57]in secrecy no one's good you made them happy but they won't
[19:03]know it was you so I mean momineen wasn't expecting anything because
[19:08]he wasn't in need of of her help sometimes you help someone
[19:15]and say to yourself that one day they might help me his
[19:18]father is an important person you know he belongs to a famous
[19:24]tribe they might help me if I help them but I'm here
[19:26]in momineen was the ultimate king and no one was able to
[19:30]bring him down because back then you pledged your allegiance to the
[19:34]khalifa that's it he doesn't expect anyone to vote for him because
[19:39]he doesn't need people's votes he approaches this woman and you know
[19:44]when a woman's heart is broken this is it turns out the
[19:53]the world the entire world becomes gloomy in her eyes and that's
[19:58]something a million more Maine understands maybe most men don't understand what
[20:03]women go through when their hearts are broken but amirul mumineen understands
[20:07]a young lady is crying why is she crying what made her
[20:15]cry so he has to go approached her and asked her for
[20:18]the reason why what makes her cry Oh Georgia duck the famous
[20:26]Christian writer he's not a Muslim he's written so many books about
[20:31]Ameer al-mumineen and in one of his books he says yeah Ameer
[20:35]al-mumineen I'm not a Shia but I love you and there's nothing
[20:39]that I could do about my love the love that I have
[20:45]towards you he says Ameer al-mumineen was like an ocean a notion
[20:50]that nothing and no one can shake praise he was a hero
[20:59]an ocean so big so huge so humongous that even if a
[21:03]mountain was to fall in it it wouldn't affect it wouldn't have
[21:10]any impact on it if a planet was to fall in in
[21:15]it it wouldn't have any impact on it but you know what
[21:18]sends shivers down amirul mumineen spine you know what you know what
[21:24]shakes Ameer al-mumineen and sent waves the size of a mountain within
[21:33]him when he sees a young woman crying when he sees an
[21:36]orphan crying Marta where to fish a in come out a wet
[21:43]little I can feel sorry you know what bothers me you know
[21:45]what irritates me when I see an orphan crying that's what bothers
[21:52]and you know what's paradoxical about this the fact that Amir al-mumineen
[21:58]had all these conflicting characteristics jomi I feel safe article of DA
[22:05]do well ha da as ethical and Dodger your unmatched because you
[22:11]had all these contradicting characteristics within you all these paradoxical traits Zoe
[22:18]don't Hakeem on you were both selfless and at the same time
[22:30]you're a king your ascetic and you know what i setec is
[22:34]ascetic is a person that that abstains from complete and all forms
[22:42]of indulgence but at the same time you're a king and you
[22:45]know what it means to be a king if you're a king
[22:50]that means you indulge in all forms of pleasures in life Hakim
[22:59]on z'ha'dum Holyman Giugiaro you're brave you're courageous and at the same
[23:07]time you have forbearance when you're brave that means you vent your
[23:13]rage but you have forbearance you suppress your anger na sukham fat
[23:19]chicken you're a monkey a monkey is a person that spends the
[23:26]night worshiping God crying wailing begging Allah subhana WA Ta'ala to help
[23:32]him but you're also a warrior during the day you're a warrior
[23:37]you would tear your enemy apart and you're also a monkey Iran
[23:41]jo I do you're a poor person but at the same time
[23:51]you're extremely generous 40 on Oahu she Aman madjoe manaphy gradually capella
[23:57]has a myth flown by Badu you can have all these traits
[24:01]in one person so a mutant I mean that brave person who
[24:07]is a hawk when he is fighting he's a raging lion when
[24:10]he's in the battlefield when he sees a woman crying he can't
[24:15]stand he can't tolerate seeing the spectacle in the street he comes
[24:20]up to her and he says to her melody up Keke what
[24:25]makes you cry she said that I'm a maid I'm a servant
[24:31]and my masters told me to go and buy dates from the
[24:33]marketplace I went to the marketplace I bought dates I came back
[24:41]home they said that the quality of the dates isn't that good
[24:44]go and return it I went back to return it to the
[24:48]marketplace the guy who sold it to me said you can't return
[24:50]it you bought it for me that's it I came back home
[24:54]told my masters they kicked me out of the house what should
[25:00]I do now I mean he himself would say get up let's
[25:01]go to the mic a place together I mean mom you could
[25:05]have sent one of his soldiers he could have sent one of
[25:07]his children he could have sent one of his companions but he
[25:13]wants to bring reform on a cultural social level he himself has
[25:18]to go you know why he himself has to go for a
[25:25]reason you know what that reason is first of all he feels
[25:27]responsible for each and every one each and every citizen in his
[25:36]kingdom he's responsible for their welfare and secondly the hadith says men
[25:44]Safi Hodja tal min Kahn Allahu Allah AHA AG he all the
[25:51]yet emblem taqwa if someone is in need of your help to
[25:54]intervene to interfere to talk to someone and you help that person
[26:04]even if his wish is not granted even if his Hodja is
[26:08]not answered for example he tells you can you talk to your
[26:14]friend I want to propose to marry his daughter and because he's
[26:18]your friend you say ok you go and talk to him but
[26:24]that friend of yours Ridge - that guy it doesn't matter if
[26:30]this guy rejects him or not allah subhanaw taala himself would come
[26:33]to your rescue when you need help not someone ha ha ajeosshi
[26:41]alaikum me i'm a la allakum fella tamaño nam if someone comes
[26:45]up to you and he needs your help this is God blessing
[26:51]upon you don't reject God's blessing and also sometimes we say to
[26:58]ourselves someone tells me can you talk to this guy I say
[27:00]to him look I I have this respect I don't want to
[27:06]use it because I fear if I use this respect it will
[27:11]vanish people won't respect me anymore ironically the hadith says zakat or
[27:18]Jahi bethlo if you have respect people respect you the more you
[27:22]use it for other people Allah subhana WA Ta'ala will increase it
[27:27]will give you more respect will give you more this is out
[27:30]this is how it functions this is how Allah subhana WA Ta'ala
[27:34]operates my father says that the first time I met with Imam
[27:42]Musa Sadr in Lebanon he said I went to visit him in
[27:45]his office he sat on a chair and beside him there was
[27:51]a phone he said people approached him for their Hodja for their
[27:54]needs one man would come and he is in need of permanent
[27:58]residency in Lebanon he wouldn't hesitate takes the phone calls the general
[28:03]my friend will come and he needs from a residency another person
[28:07]needs help with respect to education he calls his contact in the
[28:13]education ministry someone is in need of another type of help he
[28:21]would do everything he can anything at his disposal he was all
[28:26]his friends all his contacts he said I came up to me
[28:30]I came up to him he didn't know me it was the
[28:32]first contact meeting that I ever had with a Muslim I said
[28:39]to him that I need to get a visa to go to
[28:43]Kuwait he said okay he wrote a letter to the Kuwaiti ambassador
[28:46]in Beirut I took the letter went to the embassy when the
[28:53]Ambassador realized that I have a letter from Imam Assad who is
[28:57]highly respected he himself came and he received me and he sat
[29:03]with me I said I have a letter from Sid Musa Sadr
[29:05]he opened the letter he said what do you need I said
[29:09]doesn't the letter mention what I need I said I need a
[29:13]visa he said knows Sayed Moses saw the wrote that see what
[29:15]this man needs help him and everything that he needs and Subhan
[29:19]Allah his respect there is the level of respect that he has
[29:24]in Lebanon during his lifetime and even after is enormous why is
[29:28]the cartoon Jahi bethlo never say no I have respect in the
[29:34]society I don't want to use that respect no never say that
[29:37]so I'm here and will mean himself would go with that lady
[29:42]Khan Allah Allah AAHA yg the hadith says that on the day
[29:44]of judgment people will be under the Sun will be very scorching
[29:49]the heat will be unbearable and the people that go and seek
[29:52]refuge in the shade of Allah and the shade of the throne
[29:57]of Allah will be saved and there is an area that nope
[30:01]no one can go unless you have helped your brother in faith
[30:04]in something in anything Semyon momi himself goes to the marketplace a
[30:11]lot of people didn't recognize the Menomonee because he wasn't there to
[30:17]be recognized and appreciated sometimes he would go to the marketplace to
[30:20]buy a shirt so he asks the seller do you know me
[30:26]did you recognize me shows yes see I'm young momineen so he
[30:28]wouldn't buy the shirt from him he goes to the second one
[30:32]did you recognize me yes he was - the third one did
[30:33]you recognize me no he would buy the shirt from him because
[30:36]he doesn't want to use his position for personal reasons for personal
[30:39]gains so he goes to that date seller the guy didn't recognize
[30:46]him he stalks him he said this lady she bought the dates
[30:49]for her superiors and they like the quality in that now they
[30:55]kicked kicked her out of the out of the house would you
[30:57]return the date he said I said no and it's none of
[31:03]your business and he punched the Imam in his chest pushing him
[31:08]away a mutant woman who is courage whose bravery is unmatched he
[31:18]could have broken that guy's neck he could have killed that guy
[31:23]in addition to all of that he has the respect of the
[31:31]society he's the ruler he's the king but he wasn't intimidated he
[31:35]wasn't enraged meaning that his fury and the war wasn't something natural
[31:45]he would do it for a loss of Hana wata'ala he wouldn't
[31:48]be enraged for personal reasons he wouldn't act on his in a
[31:56]pond his impulse they say that during the Battle of of hand
[32:00]up it was a very decisive battle amiran what man goes to
[32:05]fight someone who was able to take out one thousand armed men
[32:13]single-handedly I'm Rubino added armory amirul mumineen eventually was able to to
[32:19]sit on this guy's chest and finish him off when he sat
[32:22]on his chest and all the Muslims are observing closely because if
[32:27]something goes wrong you know I'll even everybody was killed this means
[32:30]ultimate defeat to all the Muslims that's why I wonder when the
[32:34]Imam went to the battlefield the prophet famously said the Roselli monokuma
[32:39]you call a Iman it's in its entirety is going to fight
[32:44]disbelief in its entirety if something happens to Iman if something happens
[32:49]I'll even have you thought it the Iman is finished so I'm
[32:52]here the nominee is sitting on his chest and all the Muslims
[32:56]are waiting for the Imam to kill the enemy combatant when all
[32:58]of a sudden the mom gets up and he starts to roam
[33:04]around the battlefield the Muslims couldn't believe their eyes what is are
