[0:00][Music] sisters please accept my condolences on the shahadah of imam [Music]

[0:38]this was such an important event in islamic history this wasn't a

[0:46]small thing his death at the hands of the tawarit at his

[0:53]time was considered a tremendous victory and for the menin for the

[0:57]believers for the mustafa affine it was an irreparable loss i want

[1:04]to just show a little bit of what history explains to us

[1:07]so we can understand how great this event is after that what

[1:13]the prophet promised for those who have the maratha to realize what

[1:20]transpired and then in sha allah we want to talk a little

[1:22]bit about what he was doing and finally to conclude with inspiration

[1:28]from our imam our imam was under incredible circumstances and he did

[1:35]his best and he experienced god's best what can we learn from

[1:39]these things so as i said for the muslims for islam and

[1:44]the muslims the loss of imam hassan was unbelievable but for ma'awiyah

[1:51]the the tort of that time history tells us what happens when

[1:58]he got the news that imam hassan had met allah sitting in

[2:11]his courtyard or with his friends when the news came that finally

[2:16]he was successful and he had removed imam hassan his poison through

[2:21]the wife of his of imam hassan that it worked this is

[2:28]what history says sajada was sajada was so happy he went into

[2:34]a state of sujood of those were with maui they heard him

[2:40]they he started off saying take me here and then they all

[2:48]said takbir this lets you and i know that we're mourning the

[2:52]death of a champion imam hassan when he died is this kind

[2:57]of this happy in his private gathering finally we've succeeded it reminds

[3:04]me of if you brothers and sisters remember when shahid qasim suleimani

[3:10]and shahid abu mahati al-mohandis when they were martyred the enemies of

[3:16]islam rejoiced and for the believers and the most of affine around

[3:21]the world the hearts were mourning the hearts were mourning and you

[3:26]can't compare the death of an imam to the death of even

[3:33]his best students his best companions you can't compare so we're talking

[3:37]about the death of such a leader what did the prophets say

[3:42]about those and inshallah you and i we can be accounted among

[3:45]those people who recognize the position of the imam what he was

[3:49]trying to do have that commitment that insha allah we are also

[3:53]pursuing the same goals as our imam what is the reward of

[4:00]these majalis so our prophet was speaking to lady fatima say the

[4:05]fatima and he prophesies what would happen to imam hassan he says

[4:10]hassan so he starts describing what's going to happen and then he

[4:16]gets to this part he says he's going to be poisoned the

[4:24]thalameen will find a way to end his life and they will

[4:26]do it by poison at that time the angels in heaven will

[4:36]be weeping the heavens themselves will be weeping it is said in

[4:46]the hadith every being will be weeping and mourning even the birds

[4:51]in the sky and the fish in the sea that's what kind

[4:56]of a loss it was what about you and i though who

[5:00]have a choice we could be in our homes we could be

[5:02]relaxing or we could say the second imam passed what was he

[5:12]doing how close are we to following his way publicly to mourn

[5:15]to gather in majalis like this this is what the prophet says

[5:19]whoever cries for him and inshallah there will be a full program

[5:24]tonight i will be speaking in sha allah the say it will

[5:26]address the community and then after that we'll have somebody to recite

[5:30]the majlis for the imam this is what the prophet says from

[5:35]whoever has the tolfique to cry for the imam on the day

[5:45]when the eyes are blind on yamal qiyamah this person their eyes

[5:50]won't be blind on that day woman those menin who grieve for

[5:58]the loss of this imam lam yahazan kalbuhu yamatanu the day when

[6:07]the hearts are grief stricken those who grieved for imam hassan they

[6:11]won't grieve so this is great tolfiq that allah has given us

[6:17]now something that you and i we learned last time when we

[6:22]talked about imam sajad alayhi salam we have to remind ourselves of

[6:27]this lesson when it comes to imam hassan we are not commemorating

[6:35]the death of a weakling or a pacifist or someone who surrendered

[6:39]to the toward there's something malcolm x said malcolm x said this

[6:47]he said if you're not careful the newspapers will having you hate

[6:54]the oppressed and loving those who are doing oppression we talked about

[7:02]leicester and for inshallah for brothers and sisters who remembered the propaganda

[7:55]us seeing imam rita and how he was someone who was carefully

[7:59]foiling the plots of the enemy they bested them at their own

[8:06]game without having the resources instead of you and i seeing them

[8:08]as heroes as champions outwitting the enemy thinking outside the box instead

[8:15]of that no how some would like us to think is that

[8:18]imam accepted to become part of the political process the the inner

[8:28]workings what happened why did he become the crown prince how did

[8:31]he use that to fight how did he establish islam in a

[8:35]way which was unparalleled before that no imam the lesson from imam

[8:40]is accept part of being a part of the political process get

[8:43]out and vote that's the answer very simplistic look why am i

[8:51]stressing this you and i have to prepare our youth in ourselves

[8:57]that when others without taking the teachings the deep and true teachings

[9:59]had to always fighting and then imam hasan he was more peaceful

[10:02]is that what it is no who were these individuals what were

[10:09]they doing what were the challenges how did they defeat the enemy

[10:16]so we have to be aware of what happened what happened was

[10:22]that our imam it's true he made peace meaning he may sign

[10:27]that peace treaty which when you look at the words of the

[10:29]they praise that how good was that for islam but it doesn't

[10:36]mean that our imam he didn't have a military strategy he was

[10:40]weak actually when you look at the books of history the presence

[10:49]in history of the imam in areas where you were required to

[10:54]be martial was more for imam hassan than imam hussain in the

[11:02]he didn't lack in bravery he actually wanted to fight that open

[11:09]enemy and he had a political strategy and a military strategy he

[11:17]tried to wage a campaign but then he realized something he realized

[11:23]he had two areas of weakness in the people one of them

[11:28]was the slave-like mentality of the masses one problem the other problem

[11:37]was our imam lacked followers who had deep insight the men the

[11:51]follower of the imam is supposed to have basira insight what is

[11:54]my imam doing why is he doing it unfortunately our imam lacked

[12:00]followers who had that deep insight and also the masses sleep slave-like

[12:14]mentality they hadn't been awoken yet the grounds weren't there for the

[12:20]imam to do a meaningful gyam the grounds weren't there otherwise when

[12:27]some of the shia who lacked ma'arefa they came to the imam

[12:32]this is what they told the imam they told the imam oh

[12:36]son of the prophet you've humiliated us you humiliated us you made

[12:45]us slaves imam said how did i humiliate you what did i

[12:48]how did i make you a slave they said you gave over

[12:55]the government to the taliyah muawiyah these are shia listen to what

[13:01]the imam says he says he swears by god ma i didn't

[13:21]have helpers so it wasn't imam was weak the masses the people

[13:28]they failed the imam not the team almost week he says if

[13:36]i had followers if i had soldiers if i had people who

[13:42]had insight he says i would have fought him day and night

[13:51]so it wasn't that our imam was weak that our imam didn't

[13:56]understand no the people failed the imam did imam hassan give up

[14:02]then he said well the people aren't ready the masses at large

[14:05]they don't understand they have weaknesses did he say what's too big

[14:11]of him you had no imam was so resourceful he sees that

[14:19]this is a situation i've got to think outside of the box

[14:22]what can i do so that there's a meaningful beyond later because

[14:27]in islam every qiyam every death is not martyred down what do

[16:20]people they can't see the secular government of muawiyah for what it

[17:08]weakness the masses they haven't realized how bad it is despite the

[17:11]warnings of the imam what does it mean if muawiyah comes into

[17:21]you would do those things i want to rule secular government this

[17:27]by the way is a lesson for all of us right now

[17:32]there are some muslims who are so hopeful that trump will lose

[19:31]working underground waiting for the time with the death of mawia i'm

[19:34]going to mention the hadith of the albeit that god had planned

[19:39]for the albeit in the year 70.

[19:41]they thought they would be able to do it and literally if

[19:44]the people had if the people had done their in their responsibility

[19:49]they could have meaning imam hussain anim and imam hassan they're both

[19:54]signatories of the same treaty if amir menin had been there he

[20:01]would have also signed the treaty that was the responsibility at that

[20:06]time but they're working and waiting for that time when they can

[20:08]reach out if the people had done their responsibility very easily kufo

[20:15]would have fallen if kufa fell how easy would have been to

[20:19]take basra if two major cities fall you have a leader like

[20:23]imam hussain or later or if imam hassan if they had done

[20:27]their responsibility imam that kind of a leader taking on sham that's

[20:31]something doable but the people failed and the afflict were ready for

[20:37]that the hadith says that after that happened meaning when the people

[20:43]failed imam hussain hadith says that ishtada ravallah allah became furious with

[20:53]the people they had the opportunity then after that god planned it

[20:58]for the year 140.

[20:58]so around the time of imam sadiq again the adler bait we're

[21:02]like you know what if we do our responsibilities if they do

[21:05]their responsibility imam saw this time was the time that the al-ubair

[21:10]planned for that qiyam but it was the people so what happened

[21:16]was still does that mean that imam imam his work was useless

[21:27]muawiyah was who yazid was that in the time of imam hussain

[21:33]although the people didn't do their responsibility he did the qiyam and

[21:38]then it had an effect islam hit the reset button islam was

[21:43]going to be all lost but from that patient hard work of

[21:48]imam hassan nullifying the plots of the enemy islam uncompromising islam without

[21:56]taharif this islam now an imam hussein it has an effect blood

[22:01]sweat and tears of imam hasan now what i want to spend

[22:09]the last part of the speech and insha allah be able to

[22:12]benefit from the say it is taking inspiration from the imam what's

[22:17]a practical lesson that we can learn from the imam the lesson

[22:21]that i'd like to share is one that i need more than

[22:25]any of you and that is learning to think good of god

[22:31]to really be able to think good of god a lot of

[22:41]people miss out on allah's best because deep in their hearts they

[22:46]don't think good of god what did the imam teach us is

[22:51]now from he says this allah that person who relies on this

[23:03]fact that god is good and he chooses well for me he

[23:07]says this person [Music] the person who really trusts that god's good

[23:17]he chooses well for me despite the outside circumstances maybe my dreams

[23:22]haven't come true up until now maybe i'm experiencing difficulty maybe i'm

[23:26]going through a difficult divorce maybe my business is closed these are

[23:29]things where normal people they start to question god why me i'm

[23:33]doing all the right things i'm being good to others when the

[23:39]company decides to let somebody go they let me go i'm honest

[23:43]employee i do the right things with my spouse my spouse doesn't

[23:47]do the right things took care of my health why did i

[23:53]get righteous questions the imam says this whoever can just relax knowing

[24:01]god chooses well this person will not wish in their heart of

[24:09]hearts that my situation was any different than it is currently still

[24:15]got hope still no god can do all things god is good

[24:19]it makes such a difference there are people who because of this

[24:24]not thinking good of god they end up making tremendous mistakes you

[24:29]is it okay if i share a scary scary ayat of quran

[24:33]salah please how important is it that you and i think good

[24:42]of god he's on my side even if i've made mistakes that

[24:47]i can still go back to him i can still talk to

[24:52]him even if i made tremendous mistakes you know what god says

[24:55]about the munafi queen of quran surah 48 verse number what are

[25:01]they like they think bad of god what happens if you think

[25:13]that well it causes you harm in this world allah him what

[25:17]else god is furious with them he does latin of them and

[25:26]he also has jahannam waiting for these people who don't think good

[25:30]of him there's some people in their heart of hearts they don't

[25:33]think good of god they don't have that trust of allah subhanahu

[25:37]wa'ta'ala and like i said people deny themselves god's best there's a

[25:43]story that i heard that inshaallah is not true they said once

[25:45]this man wanted to travel to america this is back in the

[25:51]day and by at those days you'd have to cross the seas

[25:54]by ship so this man worked hard and saved up all his

[25:59]money every penny he could and he finally bought a ticket to

[26:04]be able to sail across the sea from europe to america on

[26:06]one of those fancy cruise ships and he made it and he

[26:11]went on that cruise ship but he knew my money just is

[26:14]enough for me to get that ticket i can't do any more

[26:18]than that that's going to be i'm going to be in the

[26:20]ocean for two weeks or so he packed a suitcase full of

[26:26]cheese and crackers and he got on that ship and the ship

[26:31]started sailing and the other people were on the cruise ship they

[26:35]had tickets they would go over go to the fancy restaurants on

[26:39]the ship they were eating and he would be having his cheese

[26:41]and crackers he would smell that food they would be coming back

[26:47]talking about i'm so full i'm gonna go on a diet after

[26:49]this trip and he would just be in his corner eating his

[26:52]cheese and crackers they said sometimes he would dream in his sleep

[26:56]that he was eating that food he would wake up just cheese

[27:00]and crackers he got towards the end of the trip and then

[27:02]one of the brothers when people on the ship came over to

[27:07]him said sir why don't you join us in the restaurant the

[27:10]man was so embarrassed turned red he said you know i saved

[27:15]up enough money just to be able to buy the ticket but

[27:19]i can't afford to go to that fancy restaurant like you guys

[27:21]like i looked at him he was so surprised he said don't

[27:26]you know when you got on the ship you paid for the

[27:35]meal also denied himself how many people are living that cheese and

[27:39]cracker life right now because they don't think good of god how

[27:45]did imam hassan help us to learn how generous god is when

[27:49]we say allah remember hearing that first time from some of our

[27:55]iraqi brothers they used to say allah knowing that allah is generous

[28:02]kind you know how what happens is that the bait alaihi are

[28:06]the human embodiment of allah's traits it's hard for you and i

[28:13]to believe somebody could be that nice that's sweet that kind what

[28:18]allah says in the quran he says if you commit sins but

[28:24]you make toppa he says i will change your sins into good

[28:28]deeds why lose hope [Music] he talks about major sins in the

[28:36]ayat of quran but if you make taupa but you just have

[28:39]to it's hard to believe how could somebody really be that nice

[28:42]people compare themselves how they are they think god is like that

[28:47]so what did the imam hassan do you and i it makes

[28:50]it a lot easier if we can see a human being engage

[28:54]in these things how caring is god one story from what happened

[29:03]is that imam hassan had a beautiful mule beautiful meal and the

[29:10]imam was generous to everyone kareem to everyone even his enemies marwan

[29:16]saw the mule of the imam marwan you and i are friends

[29:24]of our little bait marwan said i want that mule he told

[29:27]one of his friends his friend said i'll get that meal for

[29:32]you he said but if i do you one favor i need

[29:33]three back his friend wasn't doing it allah he said what are

[29:39]you going to do he said i'm going to go there'll be

[29:42]a gathering and i'm going to say the praises of the nobles

[29:47]of quraish i'm not going to say anything about imam hassan at

[29:54]that time when i don't say that you jump in you say

[29:57]that that's not correct i'm gonna say something i'll get you that

[30:03]mule you okay they go to the gathering in the gathering everybody's

[30:07]sitting there and they start talking about the quraish and what they've

[30:10]done and their nobles and they didn't say anything imam hassan sitting

[30:15]there marwan said he said how come you didn't say anything about

[30:20]abu muhammad he is unique he said the man said because i

[30:27]was talking about the nobles of quraish if i mentioned the andea

[30:32]first i would have said left the gathering and the man walked

[30:40]after him when he walked after him on her son mom turned

[30:44]back he smiled he said you want something he said it's a

[30:50]nice mule right now your mom gave him the mule so even

[30:56]if he knows what the plan is generosity kindness what about people

[31:05]who've made mistakes let's believe this about god if this is a

[31:35]you if you don't have a place to stay we'll provide you

[31:38]with a place to stay if you by the time the imam

[31:42]finished the man said i swear you've got you're the whole java

[31:49]he said i used to hate you and your father more than

[31:56]anyone until i saw so the imam goes over and he shows

[31:58]us a little bit we can't compare the imam to god in

[32:02]his kindness what happens though is that sometimes you and i we

[32:10]have a difficulty because we can't see what god sees we can't

[32:14]see the future we want results now it's hard to trust god

[32:22]we start to think in the bottom of our hearts maybe god's

[32:28]not fair hadith says this the person who wakes up and he's

[32:35]grieving over this world of allah is actually angry about the decree

[32:44]of god allah is the one who's doing these things if we

[32:51]don't change this what happens we get bitter they said once there

[32:54]was this man inshallah it's not true this guy was out there

[32:57]he went to the park and he was jogging trying to do

[33:01]his responsibility supposed to stay healthy and he ends up running into

[33:06]a dog and the dog bites him the man was so upset

[33:10]and he went to the doctor and the doctor tested him he

[33:15]said you've got rabies the man was even more upset he said

[33:18]i've got to give you some shots and they're pretty painful the

[33:22]doctor went out the room to get the shots ready and he

[33:25]just came back and he sees the man's writing he said you're

[33:30]making your will he said you're not gonna die from this it's

[33:33]a little bit painful you're not gonna die from this he said

[33:36]i'm not making my will i made a list of all the

[33:41]people i'm going to bite if we don't fix this we can

[33:49]bitter god's timing is perfect god's timing is perfect i want to

[33:53]tell you a true story one of our ulama explained this story

[33:55]so this person if you've heard of his name his name is

[34:02]very well known personality people no he says i checked out this

[34:08]story myself i want to let you brothers and sisters know about

[34:11]how good god is even if there are setbacks he said that

[34:15]there was a young man he said i know this man you

[34:18]know i came i met the man i know his profession religious

[34:25]person this man was actually trying to get married pushing trying reaching

[34:29]out going to houses everybody's rejecting until what happened finally he saw

[34:37]one girl because he was by the way this man is the

[34:40]son of the shaheed he said that i ended up going to

[34:45]one family and i'm thinking this is definitely going to be the

[34:49]girl inshaallah this is the one and then what happened was that

[34:52]girl also said no he was like heartbroken he asked the girl

[34:58]lady said why did you say no he said because your father

[35:02]isn't around your father went to the battlefront he died that broke

[35:07]his heart the man went home and when he went home he

[35:12]started looking at the picture of his father and he's crying now

[35:15]he said dad what did you do you left us my mother

[35:22]had to raise five orphans difficulty and then now when i'm finally

[35:27]trying to get married i meet the girl that i like and

[35:32]she says your father isn't here now he started crying and he

[35:37]fell asleep he never would fall asleep at that time he fell

[35:41]asleep in his sleep he saw his father the shaheed in his

[35:46]dream and his father started talking to him he said that why

[35:48]are you saying those words about me that hurts my feelings he's

[35:53]like i did my responsibility the country was attacked it was my

[35:57]islamic duty he said i noticed something was happening in the dream

[36:03]the room starts filling up with shahada and then imam umani comes

[36:08]in when imam khomeini comes in he says the shadow stood out

[36:13]of respect for the imam and then something strange happened the imam

[36:18]came close to me and he told me he said that if

[36:21]you want to criticize anyone criticize me it was my fatwa i

[36:25]told him to do it it was his islamic responsibility and then

[36:30]he did something he turned to one of the shohada and he

[36:34]said you give your daughter in marriage to this young man why

[36:41]not he wakes up from the dream he tells his mother because

[36:46]in the dream he had asked the shaheed what's your address he

[36:50]was a clever moment where do you live approach he gave him

[36:54]his address this is the person go he wakes up from the

[36:58]dream he still remembers the address he tells his mom we're going

[37:00]to go inshaallah says inshallah they go over they follow the address

[37:04]and they get to the house when they get to the house

[37:06]the family recognize them the mom is at the door she said

[37:14]sorry do you know me she said i saw my husband in

[37:22]my dream he said such and such of our daughters the one

[37:26]who has a phd he only had a two-year education this man

[37:29]this one i want you to marry him to this person she

[37:33]said we woke up and we've been waiting who is it who's

[37:37]going to knock the door god is good his timing is perfect

[37:44]inshaallah we will now benefit from the wise words of the saheed

[37:49]preceded by salawat muhammad
