[0:09][Music] Mustafa Muhammad [Music] [Music] all as we approach the end of
[1:14]the month the Blessed month of Ramadan this month that you know
[1:21]normally in the beginning of the month we we remember the words
[1:26]of the Prophet Muhammad sallah alai Al wasam in his final sermon
[1:30]in the month of shaan welcoming the month of Ramadan we anticipate
[1:38]the blessings growing up you know we had memorized the part of
[1:43]the sermon that described your breathing as a form of and glorification
[1:51]and your sleep is a form of worship you know we had
[1:57]memorized this as as as young men because we could capitalize on
[1:59]that that your sleep sleep as much sleep as you do it's
[2:04]considered a form of worship and truly truly fasting physically and spiritually
[2:09]does take a toll on the body and this is why within
[2:10]the duas of the imams of B There is the Dua for
[2:16]Allah to strengthen our souls and strengthen our bodies so that we
[2:20]can maintain the fast and maintain the because after a while you
[2:27]know the body starts to deplete the spirit starts to deplete maybe
[2:31]motivation starts to deplete and this is natural brothers and sisters we
[2:35]should never feel weary or some sort of guilt that we are
[2:43]now becoming tired or exhausted in fact IMI mentions this specifically in
[2:47]he says that the heart sometimes it expands and sometimes it retracts
[2:56]when the heart is in a state of expansion when it can
[2:59]receive more give it more do your waj and on top of
[3:05]that do your voluntary acts but if the heart is not feeling
[3:08]so well if the heart is feeling contracted then only do or
[3:15]only stick to what is obligatory do not add to any of
[3:18]it don't add to any of it and this is he's giving
[3:23]us the best advice do not force onto your heart what it
[3:28]does not want to receive it's like when you're trying to force
[3:31]a seed into the ground and you want it to grow and
[3:36]what happens it doesn't grow versus the seed that you simply plant
[3:38]you water and you stop paying attention to it it'll grow on
[3:45]its own so this is a very natural part of the blessings
[3:47]of the month of Ramadan and we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[3:52]to power us through the entire month the rest of the month
[3:55]what days are left so that we can receive the maximum benefit
[3:59]insh in Islam there is nothing more celebrated than the use of
[4:12]the the intellect and normally when we say intellect we normally associate
[4:18]with it brain power it's using your brain it's using your mind
[4:22]but this is only part of the equation the in the Islamic
[4:30]understanding is not just using your mind and being analytical and calculative
[4:36]part of the is using your emotions as well your heart your
[4:42]heart guides you in the same way that your mind guides you
[4:49]as well they work both in conjunction with one another the heart
[4:52]and the mind and the heart and the mind together comprise the
[4:58]and the is the most honored creation of God the human being
[5:04]in and of itself in and of himself is not something special
[5:09]in fact this is pointed out through the narrations of the IM
[5:17]he says you know look at man you look at humans human
[5:21]beings he says one drop of one drop of sweat makes him
[5:26]stink and he says one little bug one mosquito can bite him
[5:32]and and what happens what happens sometimes when a single mosquito or
[5:36]a flea bites someone and you know passes them on a disease
[5:39]like malaria or Lyme disease and they have to deal with that
[5:43]pain for the rest of their life and nud it's said that
[5:49]anud the Tyrant during the time of ibraim how did he see
[5:58]himself like he saw himself as a God said said to ibraim
[6:02]that your lord creates he gives life and he takes life while
[6:06]I also create life and I give life so he saw himself
[6:12]as a God he saw himself as someone worthy of worship someone
[6:16]whose authority should not be challenged and so when ibraim destroyed the
[6:21]idols the whole town the whole city was offended and so anud
[6:27]how does he meet his end and how does he meet his
[6:33]demise According to some reports a small little bug climbs up into
[6:37]his nose from his nasal Canal into his brain and God gives
[6:44]us an example of those who see themselves as greater as Superior
[6:47]sometimes they are taught the lesson in this life sometimes they are
[6:51]taught the lesson in the next life Allah teaches a lesson in
[6:56]this life where when he dies he is washed up and his
[7:00]body is put on display for everybody to see he's mummified thousands
[7:03]of years later we can see the man who referred to himself
[7:08]as and what happens to him the bug goes through the naval
[7:14]nasal cavity into the brain it causes him such pain in his
[7:17]head no doctor can do anything for him no medicine can relieve
[7:24]his pain the only thing that could relieve his pain is if
[7:27]someone were to stand by him and hit him in the head
[7:32]with a club imagine he needed to designate someone to stand and
[7:36]hit him in the head with a club just to for him
[7:42]to experience temporary pain relief now I I'm not a doctor I'm
[7:45]not a neurologist of any sort but you know how many times
[7:49]can you be clubbed in the head before before it's a little
[7:51]bit too much I don't think too many times you know maybe
[7:57]three maybe four times if that if not the first one Allah
[7:59]shows that you see yourself look you cannot even control a little
[8:04]bug that you cannot see that crawled up your nose into your
[8:06]brain so the intellect is not just using the mind it is
[8:15]using the heart as well the Quran tells us we have sent
[8:25]this book this book which is blessed and this is a concept
[8:31]in the Quran the concept of which means a deep reflection a
[8:39]deep pondering using your mind using your heart using your emotions in
[8:48]order to understand the signs of God and appreciate the signs of
[8:57]God also we have all of these are different types of mediation
[9:08]meditation thinking pondering reflecting he says who are the ones that reflect
[9:17]this term those who have intellect is mentioned sparsely throughout the Quran
[9:23]that this guidance will not will not bring about any guidance except
[9:29]for those who they're hearts and their minds are fertile it's fertile
[9:32]soil you know you can they say you can bring the horse
[9:36]to the water but you can't force the horse to drink the
[9:41]water and some people you can put a feast in front of
[9:44]them an entire feast and they'll treat it like a crumb While
[9:48]others they take a crumb and they appreciate it as if it's
[9:53]an entire Feast this is all a choice brothers and sisters guidance
[9:57]is there the signs are there Allah says the signs are in
[10:03]the sky in the Horizon in the mountains within yourself if you
[10:06]look but if the person is not interested or the soil is
[10:09]not fertile or nobody's home or they're distracted in some other way
[10:16]doesn't matter how much guidance you pour on to them you know
[10:18]you can hold their mouth open and pour the guidance into their
[10:21]mouth it's not going to do anything it's not going to change
[10:31]the intellect is celebrated in Islam celebrated more than any other faculty
[10:40]the human being can develop wondrous things can create wonderful things but
[10:46]only when they harness the power of their intellect in Al our
[10:55]most prominent book of Hadith out of the four books of that
[11:01]we have the four prominent ones the most commonly used one isi
[11:06]by Andi is divided into two parts Andi two volumes are the
[11:17]narrations that deal with our belief what are the tenants of our
[11:21]belief what are the foundations of our belief is mostly Juris prudence
[11:33]and and in the first book volume one chapter one is is
[11:40]the book on on the intellect because without intellect none of the
[11:47]other Details Matter nothing matters we need intellect in order to understand
[11:52]and according to the narration of IM Muhammad he says when Allah
[11:59]created the he he said to it he told it to come
[12:06]forth it came forth he told it to move back it moved
[12:09]back and then he said by my majesty and by my glory
[12:17]I have not created anything in this world which is more beloved
[12:22]to me than you and it is by you that I hold
[12:26]people accountable and it is by you that I reward and it
[12:29]is by you that I punish meaning if that that component of
[12:35]the is non-existent in a man in a person then Allah does
[12:38]not punish them this is why amongst our rules we say that
[12:43]in order for a person to be held accountable liable is that
[12:46]we must make sure that their is fully there they are fully
[12:52]sane if a person has lost their temporarily if they are experiencing
[12:55]junun junun you know Madness comes from a particular word Jenna which
[13:02]means veiled covered where this is where the term Jin also comes
[13:07]from that a person's mind is veiled or they have been separated
[13:11]this is called junun a person who is a ma there are
[13:16]certain rules he cannot be a judge in a court system he
[13:21]cannot leave the prayer this is because the the intellect is not
[13:26]fully there even though the body is there so the the body
[13:32]Allah subhah wa ta'ala has given us a body that is sufficient
[13:35]that is strong that can endure the elements that can function in
[13:41]a certain way but yet what gives us the K what gives
[13:44]us our sense of and our nobility it's our and the intellect
[13:51]that comes directly from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this is why IM
[13:55]aliam he says you know you find a human being what does
[14:00]he what's so special about him you know he comes from a
[14:04]drop of sperm which is impurity and in his life he is
[14:11]carrying all sorts of impurities in him and when he dies his
[14:13]body becomes one big stinking impurity corpse that you have to wash
[14:21]and shroud and bury you know before before it starts to decompose
[14:28]and make problems for everyone this is why it's recommended in Islam
[14:32]that the burial process happens as soon as possible it's not delayed
[14:36]because what happens what comes out of the body when it decomposes
[14:42]describes it for the non-believers for the ones that their entire life
[14:46]is just about pleasure and joy and eating and drinking he says
[15:01]that they spend their whole life eating and drinking yet in the
[15:06]grave you see that their face will be the one that will
[15:08]be eaten and consumed by the maggots what happens to the human
[15:13]body he says why are you so impressed with yourself do you
[15:15]know what happens to your body just moments after you die in
[15:20]one narration attributed to him he says look at man his favorite
[15:24]beverage favorite thing to consume is the excrement of a worm is
[15:31]the excrement I'm sorry of a bee honey it's the excrement of
[15:34]a bee he says his favorite thing to wear is the excrement
[15:40]of a worm silk so what is so impressive about man that
[15:42]he is born out of impurity he dies as impurity and he
[15:48]enjoys excrements his entire life so what is it that gives honor
[15:51]when Allah says when God bestowed upon man his his spirit and
[16:01]he taught him and he blessed him with intellect and and the
[16:04]ability to perceive and see between and distinguish between right and wrong
[16:23]Allah says to the angels that I have created a being in
[16:32]you know the um the type of clay or the type of
[16:36]dirt or mud that you find in the swamps you know the
[16:42]kind that's the muddy the muddy swamps the the the the low
[16:45]the the stuff that has no value it's it's you know you
[16:50]get grossed out by it he says this is what I created
[16:53]man from this is what I fashioned him from not out of
[16:55]gold or Titanium or diamonds or anything like that literally his body
[17:01]is created out of the lowest value material stuff that you would
[17:05]not even build your house with once I have completed him how
[17:18]have I completed him by breathing onto him my spirit giving him
[17:21]all that is good inspiring him giving him giving him a heart
[17:25]and Consciousness then then prostrate to him this is what makes man
[17:33]worthy of prostration to the angels and the Jin it's our says
[17:40]Allah described it as his most favorite creation he told it to
[17:47]move forward it moved forward he told it to move back it
[17:49]moved back and he says you are my most beloved creation you
[17:54]know every inventor every person who creates every cook every Builder they
[18:00]have their most famous work that they've done the famous design or
[18:07]their F their their favorite uh recipe not that they don't honor
[18:11]everything that they create but specifically this one is their one that
[18:14]they are the most proud of Allah says in all of my
[18:20]Creations what I am most proud of is the creation of the
[18:25]the human intellect and as we said you know the intellect is
[18:28]not just using your brain it's not just having an analytical brain
[18:33]it's also having a heart having emotions see intelligence for the longest
[18:40]time scientists believe that you know there was only one main form
[18:47]of intelligence right the IQ that they study with the IQ test
[18:50]you can measure a person's intelligence through an IQ test and this
[18:56]form of intelligence intellectual mental intelligence was really the only type of
[19:01]intelligence but then it within this past Century some scientists and Scholars
[19:12]started to understand that there is more than one type of intelligence
[19:16]in fact in 1984 there was a researcher by the name of
[19:23]Howard Gardner and he wrote a book called frames of mind and
[19:27]it's about the theory of multiple intelligences and he says that intelligence
[19:33]is not just IQ as we have believed it he says there
[19:35]are different forms of intelligence there is emotional intelligence there is social
[19:41]intelligence there is spatial intelligence you know some people they're very very
[19:47]intelligent about spaces they know how to design certain spaces to maximize
[19:52]you know the square footage or they will design a space in
[19:57]a way that that you know to conserve energy and this sort
[20:00]of thing this is spatial intelligence and some people have zero no
[20:05]spatial intelligence whatsoever when they build a space it's all waste no
[20:10]efficiency whatsoever he says there's also linguistic intelligence which explains how some
[20:15]people are able to master more than one language and in fact
[20:21]in the book in the actual book frames of mine the first
[20:24]example he gives he says how is it that a young boy
[20:27]who is 9 or 10 years old from Iran can memorize the
[20:33]Quran in Arabic he says this is a form of linguistic intelligence
[20:36]to be able to memorize at a young age he also mentions
[20:42]other intelligences musical intelligence and other forms of intelligence as well so
[20:50]intelligence intellect in the Islamic perspective is not just the use of
[20:58]the brain it's not just the use of analysis it's not just
[21:00]storing knowledge up here and you know pouring that knowledge onto people
[21:07]you know sometimes it's not just pouring you know we we we
[21:10]spray and and and and we brutalize people with the knowledge this
[21:13]is why and I mentioned the Hadith the other day of IM
[21:16]when he says you might see a man who has a lot
[21:22]of knowledge but he is like a he is like an ignoramus
[21:24]with the way that he is aggressive about his knowledge he is
[21:30]um he's very proud of his knowledge he uses his knowledge sort
[21:35]of as a weapon his knowledge to put people down these are
[21:38]people who they Reserve knowledge for themselves or they weaponize it he
[21:47]says this is a person who is an ignoramus really he says
[21:51]but the person who is ignorant who is truly humble and truly
[21:55]inquisitive and they truly learn this is like a scholar even though
[22:01]he is ignorant but he is like a scholar he is like
[22:07]a knowledgeable person because of his open-mindedness because of his reception you
[22:12]know the word Jal in Arabic when we say j or J
[22:18]or J most people associate what with J what do you say
[22:20]J is what is the definition of j ignorance correct this is
[22:27]the contextual meaning of JAL but the actual meaning of JAL in
[22:31]the Arabic language as a verb is to be rabid and confrontational
[22:38]so the people of the Jah it's not that they were stupid
[22:42]it's not that they were uneducated of course they were educated how
[22:47]would they how were they able to produce poetry the way they
[22:52]did if they were not educated how were they able to live
[22:55]life if they had zero education they were not Savages yet their
[23:00]Jal was what their Jal was about confrontation it was about vengeance
[23:08]and Islam taught them to do the opposite calm down don't be
[23:15]so confrontational you don't have to get in someone's face all the
[23:18]time to make a point that J is not just ignorance you
[23:24]know one of the companions of the Prophet peace be upon him
[23:29]Abdullah Abdullah there was a companion Abdullah in in Alina who was
[23:37]whom he was the chief of the Hypocrites he was the chief
[23:42]of the Hypocrites and he tried to plot against the prophet peace
[23:46]be upon him this verse was revealed during the expedition ofd AHB
[23:59]he said when we go back to Medina we will overthrow this
[24:04]man we will overthrow this prophet and the prophet spared his life
[24:09]he kept him alive but yet Abdullah who was the chief of
[24:12]Hypocrites he had a son also named Abdullah who was the exact
[24:17]opposite he was deathly loyal to the prophet peace be upon him
[24:23]sometimes the Apple Falls far from the tree so one day Abdullah
[24:26]the son the loyal one he hears someone suggest that we should
[24:35]kill this hypocrite this traitor the father so what does he do
[24:40]he comes to Alam he says y I've overheard some people suggesting
[24:44]this he says if you decide the fate of my father in
[24:50]this way I volunteer to be the one to kill him he
[24:54]says why he says number one I want to show you how
[24:59]loyal I am to you that I I'm willing to fight against
[25:00]my own father for your sake and by the way the prophet
[25:04]did not allow this even during the battles between the Muslims in
[25:12]Medina and Mecca he would be aware and cautious of having family
[25:15]members from each side fight against one another even though it was
[25:18]belief versus disbelief he did not want to plant that type of
[25:23]you know he he didn't he didn't want to plant that in
[25:25]the hearts of people he said I do not want to be
[25:28]known against the one who turns families against one another and have
[25:32]them fight against one another so Abdullah the junior he says let
[25:37]me be the one number one to show my loyalty number two
[25:42]I'm afraid if somebody else does it that one day because of
[25:46]the remnants of the J that still exist within us the urge
[25:54]and the need to be vengeful and be rabid and be confrontational
[25:58]I'm afraid I might see him one day my father's murderer and
[26:02]I'll lose control and I will kill him unjustly and I don't
[26:07]want that to happen he admits that we still have remnants of
[26:10]the Jah amongst us rabid being confrontational being vengeful this is the
[26:17]categories of J and so Islam came and did not just give
[26:21]people knowledge because knowledge on its own doesn't do anything in fact
[26:25]knowledge on its own without heart without morality without ethics without a
[26:32]sense of the right thing to do becomes the most dangerous weapon
[26:37]you see how weapons of mass destruction are built missiles and bombs
[26:43]and all sorts of weapons that are used to kill and maim
[26:51]and Destroy certain weapons that are now illegal that are intentionally made
[26:57]to to M and Destroy such as what cluster bombs and the
[27:00]use of cluster bombs has become illegal why because most of the
[27:08]victims of cluster bombs are children innocent people these bombs that are
[27:13]designed to fall on the floor and are are left unexploded and
[27:15]then someone walks up to them and triggers them landmines things like
[27:19]that you need knowledge you need a lot of knowledge to create
[27:24]these weapons the new weapons that are being created drones and the
[27:27]missiles that fire from the Drone and the self- exploding drones and
[27:30]the robots that can now run and hold weapons you need knowledge
[27:34]for this you don't need any ethics you don't need morality you
[27:37]don't need to know what is halal Oram you don't even need
[27:42]to have a heart you don't even need social intelligence you find
[27:46]yourself a nerd with a high IQ and low social intelligence no
[27:51]offense and they'll they'll build for you that's the use of knowledge
[27:57]without morality so here brothers and sisters is not just the use
[28:01]of our knowledge and what we read in books and you know
[28:06]being book smart absolutely not it is also the involvement of the
[28:10]heart so we have extensive narrations on the merits of the what
[28:19]are the signs of the what are the signs when someone lacks
[28:24]in one narration and this is a long narration it's an it's
[28:32]a conversation between IM and His companion now Hisham ham was one
[28:39]of those companions that uh was known for his sense of debates
[28:47]cam he liked to speak on theology he liked to inquire and
[28:53]so the Imam in one long Hadith he says the following he
[28:56]says oh Hisham Allah has provided humankind with two proofs of his
[29:03]guidance there are more than two proofs but specifically here he's talking
[29:10]about the two proofs that work hand inand with one another Oham
[29:14]Allah has provided humankind with two proofs of guidance One external and
[29:22]one internal the external refers to what the external refers to His
[29:28]prophets Messengers and the imams Allah has sent for us external that's
[29:33]why we refer to him to them as the proofs the reasoning
[29:42]of Allah upon his people so the external refers to His prophets
[29:50]his Messengers and the imams and the internal refers to intellectual reasoning
[29:56]Allah has placed within every single one of us something on the
[30:01]inside that guides to that which is best and this is why
[30:06]he says in the Quran and only happens internally thinking and pondering
[30:27]is not something external see eating drinking reading if I'm reading I'm
[30:34]researching and studying you can see that I'm doing something I'm either
[30:36]reading from a book or I'm writing something down but actual internal
[30:46]reflection contemplation mediation all of that happens within one of our Scholars
[30:51]one of our teachers in the housa he was the student of
[30:56]the late Muhammad Bak who you know was an intellectual giant who
[31:05]was killed he was assassinated in irq in 1980 and this was
[31:13]a man who really really lived Beyond his time if you are
[31:16]familiar with his teachings if you're familiar with his writings you know
[31:23]he he did not just write about Halal andam he wrote about
[31:26]the economy he had the book our economy another book other deeply
[31:36]logical and analytical books he wrote a book called about the difference
[31:46]between induction and deduction and not only that even his teachings in
[31:52]revolutionize the hza so much so that haza students now in they
[31:57]study his book called three volumes and this scholar who we studied
[32:07]with he was his student and he said that used to when
[32:15]he would study he would spend 10 I remember him saying this
[32:19]multiple times he'd say he would spend 10% of the time reading
[32:25]and 90% of the time thinking about what he just read contemplating
[32:29]his goal was not just to read through books one after another
[32:36]his goal was contemplation and to think so in order to contemplate
[32:40]in order to think in order to even just have in certain
[32:44]situations the emotional intelligence and fortitude to pause and not pass judgment
[32:51]see even sometimes when we read we start to get agitated or
[32:54]we start to want to come to judgments right away whereas if
[33:01]you just give yourself the chance to pause to think to reflect
[33:06]sometimes when I read I really I need to put it away
[33:10]and I need to come back and revisit it another time because
[33:14]my mind is not prepared I caught myself once I was reading
[33:17]through I said no no I can't I can't read it in
[33:21]this way I can't just speed read through the through the Hadith
[33:23]and I said to myself my mind is not here right now
[33:27]so let me put this away and come back to it when
[33:31]I can actually Ponder and reflect do you know brothers and sisters
[33:34]if we truly just reflected reflected and we applied the teachings that
[33:39]we learned you wouldn't have to go out and read every book
[33:44]out there this is why Allah has given us one Quran he
[33:46]hasn't given us 10 qurans one Quran I remember I gave a
[33:51]copy of the Quran to one of my uh Christian friends many
[33:54]years ago he was inquisitive I said here this is Quran so
[33:58]he looked he said just this book that's it said it's so
[34:02]short I said yes I explained I said the Bible you know
[34:05]you've been reading the Bible the Bible is many books of many
[34:11]chapters and many verses we have one book that has 114 chapters
[34:14]and each chapter has a certain number of verses and so the
[34:20]Bible you know came first and then the Quran and he said
[34:22]you know God kept it God keep kept it very simple the
[34:26]second time around it seems I said yes he kept it very
[34:28]simple simple because it's just a few words that if you Ponder
[34:33]you don't need to read the entire story of what happened and
[34:35]not at all sometimes an entire story is told in three verses
[34:41]two or three verses it's concise why because the person of the
[34:48]people of intellect and reasoning all they need is something which is
[34:51]concise we have a saying in Arabic it says the person the
[34:59]person of intellect it suffices for him just to point them in
[35:05]the right direction you don't have to read you don't have to
[35:08]analyze you don't have to come to conclusions for them so the
[35:13]IM says to Hisham he says there are two proofs One external
[35:17]and one internal the external are the prophets and the imams the
[35:21]Quran that he sends these are all external the internal though you
[35:27]have to make sure that you are also doing your inner reasoning
[35:30]one day someone prays someone in the prophet's presence you know people
[35:36]used to praise others in the prophet's presence this man he does
[35:40]so much good he gives charity he fasts all of R and
[35:46]Shan and Ramadan and he does this and that so the prophet
[35:49]said okay what about his intellect what kind of does he have
[35:54]so they said they said uh he he he said what about
[35:59]his intellectual abilities he said they said we don't know you know
[36:01]all we know about him is his the good that he does
[36:06]the prophet responded he said those who are stupid suffer greater consequences
[36:11]from their stupidity than those who are immoral due from their lack
[36:17]of morality person who has lack of morality most of the time
[36:22]he's only hurting himself most of the time but the person who
[36:26]is unintelligent not not only is he hurting himself he hurts everyone
[36:31]around him he hurts everyone around him so the prophet said don't
[36:35]tell me about how much he's fasting and praying tell me about
[36:39]his tell me about his intellectual ability does he make use of
[36:45]it or does he toss it away you know we have in
[36:50]the teachings of lman the Prophet lman well we don't know if
[36:53]he's a prophet exactly but the wise man lman who's mentioned in
[36:56]the Quran there's a certain number of directives he tells his son
[37:06]and then the Hadith actually continues there are more directives and one
[37:11]of the directives that he gives his son he says my son
[37:13]always sit with people of knowledge and Enlightenment because if you are
[37:20]not an enlightened person you will benefit from their Enlightenment and if
[37:24]you are an enlightened person then it will compound and you will
[37:29]all benefit from one another and he says and never sit with
[37:31]the unintelligence because if you are an intelligent person then it will
[37:40]detract from your intelligence you know sometimes you I don't know you
[37:46]sit with in a place or you sit with people or and
[37:51]you feel like you lost a few IQ points sometimes it happens
[37:56]so if you're smart your knowledge will he says your knowledge is
[37:59]not going to benefit you if you sit with the unintelligent again
[38:03]who are the unintelligent not just the people that don't know but
[38:08]the people who they have a certain thing about their attitude right
[38:14]and he says he says avoid sitting with the unintelligent because if
[38:20]you are unintelligent what will happen after that he says it will
[38:26]increase you in your unintelligence to what we call you know in
[38:30]in in in in Islamic logic in man we have two types
[38:38]of uh ignorance one is called and simple ignorance and compound ignorance
[38:43]simple ignorance is you know you ask me a question and I
[38:48]don't know the answer to it I'm ignorant but what is compound
[38:50]ignorance it's when you're ignorant and you are ignorant of your ignorance
[38:56]this is the most dangerous type of person because they think they
[39:00]know but in reality they are ignorant and this is why the
[39:06]narration say if you don't know say I do not know but
[39:10]don't leave it at there go and actually seek the knowledge so
[39:13]the intellect is the most honored creation of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[39:17]and he has bestowed Those whom he loves a sign of his
[39:22]love is he has given you intellect and of course a sign
[39:24]of his loathing is that he retracts it we ask Allah subhanahu
[39:29]wa'ta'ala to keep us on the right path to strengthen our intellects
[39:31]for his sake we ask Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala to uh bless us
[39:37]in these final days of this this holy month and allow us
[39:42]to draw the maximum benefit from it and we ask Allah subhanahu
[39:45]wa ta'ala to relieve all of those worldwide who are suffering who
[39:49]are in need of relief m [Music]
