[0:01][Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] dear brothers and sisters illuminate your
[1:04]hearts and minds and this with the recitation of muhammad you find
[1:26]that muslims and followers of albeit around the world dedicate 10 nights
[1:33]a year in some cases a month or two full months towards
[1:35]the mourning and azah and remembrance of imam al-hussein peace be upon
[1:40]him however we have a figure who is neglected by the followers
[1:46]of the albeit and that's his brother imam hasan al-musaba peace be
[1:50]upon him in fact last night after the medjudas while while we
[1:57]were eating communally someone mentioned this why is it that the shia
[2:01]the followers of albeit we neglect we rarely pay any attention there
[2:08]is rarely any remembrance of imam hasan al-mustaba this is despite the
[2:13]fact that imam al-hussein peace be upon him on the day of
[2:16]ashura when speaking to his sister lady zainab what did he tell
[2:22]her he told her he told her my brother imam hassan is
[2:28]greater than me imam hussain is acknowledging that his elder brother imam
[2:33]al-hassan is greater than him so such a figure is a figure
[2:38]worthy of remembrance worthy of study critical analysis there is a hadith
[2:45]in which he narrates he says every time i see hasan al-mustaba
[2:51]the grandson of rasulullah i begin to cry they ask him why
[2:58]he says because years ago while rasulullah was walking in the markets
[3:03]of medina the markets of banikai no a jewish tribe after he
[3:09]completed he went to the masjid masjid in nabo in medina the
[3:13]prophetic mosque in medina as he was sitting entered imam hasan al-musaba
[3:18]the young child i saw him running towards rasulullah his grandfather and
[3:23]when he arrived he fell into his lap and rasulullah embraced him
[3:26]he began to hug him he began to kiss him he says
[3:31]every time i see hasan and i remember that scene and i
[3:34]begin to cry imam hassan in was known for various traits however
[3:44]one of his titles is kareem ahlilbait he is the generous one
[3:48]among the bait and inshallah tonight we will discuss lessons that we
[3:54]are able to learn from the life of imam al-hassan and especially
[3:56]from the generosity of imam al-hasan but before the first lesson that
[4:16]we learn from the life of imam al-hasan and his generosity is
[4:20]that when you give when you offer charity for the sake of
[4:23]allah there needs to be sincerity in your giving allah states on
[4:30]the holy quran if you give charity then that's well meaning if
[4:57]you give charity in front of people however if you secretly not
[5:02]publicly if you secretly give charity that's even better and allah subhanahu
[5:05]ta'ala will compensate you for what you have given you find from
[5:11]the life of imam al-hasan this lesson is beautifully exhibited through his
[5:17]actions many of us unfortunately why is the reason what's the motivation
[5:22]for us to give you find many of us we want accolades
[5:27]we want praise right when we give we expect a plaque of
[5:32]thank you we expect our name to be plastered on some kind
[5:36]of building we expect something to be given in return whereas you
[5:42]find him alhassan peace be upon him when he would give he
[5:47]would give with utmost sincerity there's a story that says abu sufyan
[5:54]every single day he would offer a walima he would go inside
[5:58]a hall in mecca he would invite all of his friends he
[6:02]would slaughter a sheep and they would have communal meal but who
[6:07]was invited whenever an orphan or a needy person would come he
[6:12]would reject them he would only invite the other big shots the
[6:16]other vips what does allah say about that do you see the
[6:28]one who lies in the name of religion he's the one who
[6:31]pushes away the orphan he would invite people to feed them not
[6:34]for the way of allah not out of generosity he wants wajah
[6:39]he wants a certain stature in society he wants people to say
[6:42]oh you know the meal is with abu sufyan he's the one
[6:47]sponsoring this right he wants that recognition what allah subhanahu ta'ala when
[6:55]he commands us and instructs us to give this is not the
[6:58]method of giving allah states on the holy quran some people when
[7:08]they give they want other people to look they want the praise
[7:10]of others and these people don't believe in allah in the day
[7:15]of judgment the hadith of rasulullah and the imams emphasize secretly giving
[7:22]so much to the extent there is a hadith that says when
[7:27]you extend your hand to give to a poor person your other
[7:30]hand should not be aware that's how secretive you should be with
[7:34]your ata with your giving amir peace peace be upon him every
[7:40]single night he would roam around the streets of kufa he would
[7:45]knock on doors he would carry these ginormous bags on his back
[7:47]he would knock on doors and give to those who were in
[7:51]need and no one ever knew until when until the night he
[7:54]was martyred after that those people who were receiving this aid they
[7:58]saw this man this mysterious man who every single night would come
[8:01]he's no longer coming after the martyrdom of amir mu'mineen when the
[8:05]eight stopped they finally figured out this was amir al-mu'min imam ali
[8:08]but yet during his life he never told anyone and he would
[8:13]purposely go at night so that no one would figure it out
[8:16]you find in fact research supports that when you give especially when
[8:25]you give privately this increases your own happiness a study conducted by
[8:31]the university of zurich found that those who tended to have higher
[8:34]levels of giving higher levels of donation of charity correlated with higher
[8:39]levels of life satisfaction and happiness in an article in the journal
[8:48]nature communication these scientists they gave people a hundred dollars they told
[8:53]them within the next week we want you to spend it and
[8:55]then they wrapped some wires around their head they placed them inside
[8:59]an mri what they found is that people who would give charity
[9:03]a certain region of the brain was activated known as the temporal
[9:08]parietal junction when this area is active that's usually at the time
[9:14]that you're giving what's associated with this higher levels of dopamine it's
[9:19]a hormone that makes you feel good increased level of happiness and
[9:24]lower levels of cortisol which is a stress hormone so when you
[9:27]give this region in the brain activates not only does your happiness
[9:30]go up your level of stress goes down subhanallah it's as if
[9:36]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has hardwired into the human biology the incentive
[9:40]to give when you give not only does the other person benefit
[9:44]your own happiness and life satisfaction increases according to a study cited
[9:51]by the atlantic studies across all nations all cultures have shown that
[9:57]those who volunteer and by the way volunteering is a type of
[9:59]giving it's not giving your money but rather giving your time this
[10:04]is another form of atta another form of giving across all countries
[10:09]and cultures higher levels of volunteering is associated with higher levels of
[10:12]happiness this is the laws of allah subhanahu ta'ala if you want
[10:18]to seek happiness ironically you don't spend on yourself you spend on
[10:22]others whether it's with your time or with your money and that's
[10:26]why we have the saying in accentum if you do good it's
[10:31]as if you did good to yourself when you spend on others
[10:36]when you spend your time on others what happens it's your own
[10:39]happiness that goes up and your own stress that goes down in
[10:43]an article in the international journal of research and marketing they found
[10:48]that on average people who gave donations in private experience upwards of
[10:54]16 higher levels of happiness than those who gave donations in public
[10:59]or that requested recognition in return for their donations this is what
[11:04]allah says allah says in the verse that we mentioned it's okay
[11:08]to give in public but what's even better is that you give
[11:11]in private in secrecy the hadith states when you give with your
[11:13]right hand your left hand should not know about it number two
[11:20]another feature from the life of imam al-hasan peace be upon him
[11:25]that we ought to learn from is that when you give don't
[11:29]feel that you're the superior individual some people when they give they
[11:34]feel i'm so superior that i'm giving you it's a favor that
[11:36]i'm bestowing upon you and sometimes they even insult the other individual
[11:40]this is incorrect my dear brothers and sisters if you go and
[11:46]you're passing out food or you're giving someone eight some people what
[11:50]do they like to do they take the camera they take a
[11:52]picture and post on instagram my dear brothers and sisters this is
[11:54]wrong you're stripping away the dignity the honor of that individual you're
[12:00]belittling that other individual making them feel small this is not acceptable
[12:04]in islam some people what do they do if a beggar or
[12:10]someone asking for eight comes they take out a dollar you know
[12:14]some pocket change in their pockets five dollars if you really want
[12:17]to do good maybe twenty dollars right and they give it to
[12:21]the person they say go you know please don't bother me again
[12:23]this is incorrect allah states on the holy quran oh you who
[12:36]believe don't nullify don't invalidate your charity by bothering the other individual
[12:44]by belittling them by constantly reminding them that you're superior doing this
[12:47]will invalidate your charity you will not receive the rewards of your
[12:52]charity this is a way to nullify it some people especially if
[12:58]it's someone you see often every time they see them ah john
[13:00]how are you doing you need you need eight again remember that
[13:04]time i helped you two weeks this is wrong the quran says
[13:08]once you give that's it don't even mention the subject again allah
[13:13]has given you your word stop asking for more recognition for more
[13:18]praise once imam hasan peace be upon him was sitting inside his
[13:23]house someone a needy individual came inside the house to ask for
[13:32]aid as this man was walking before he even had a chance
[13:34]to speak imam al-hasan looked at his servant hamburg and he told
[13:36]him go bring some money for this man this man was shocked
[13:41]he said oh imam al-hasan i didn't even ask you you didn't
[13:44]even give me a chance to speak imam al-hasan said i don't
[13:47]even need you to speak i don't want you to have to
[13:52]throw away the water of your face right as we say by
[13:54]having to ask before the person even asks you should give you
[13:58]should start that action don't wait until the other person has to
[14:02]belittle themselves they have to come they have to beg they have
[14:05]to ask and then you give we have to learn from him
[14:08]al hassan that you should just give without asking without belittling the
[14:12]other person number three another feature of imam hasan al-muslab peace be
[14:20]upon him is that when he would give he wouldn't just check
[14:24]in his pockets how many cents how many dollars he has when
[14:27]he would give he would give a large amount such that the
[14:33]hadith states he would remove poverty from the other person the hadith
[14:38]states if he gives someone money who is a poor person he
[14:44]removes the affliction of poverty from them that's how much he would
[14:49]give unfortunately my dear brothers and sisters some of us we have
[14:52]this condition where we don't like to see those who are less
[14:55]privileged those who are needy those who are facing and struggling with
[14:59]poverty to enjoy simple luxuries right if we see someone who is
[15:05]going undergoing poverty or struggles they receive aid let's say from the
[15:10]government if they go one one vacation a year what is this
[15:12]you're undeserving of this if they buy one piece of new furniture
[15:16]you don't need all this why are we spending so much money
[15:18]on you allah states who has forbidden the luxuries and adornments of
[15:25]allah even a poor person don't they desire good food simple vacations
[15:30]simple luxuries there's nothing wrong with that so when you give some
[15:33]people say you know what i'll give just so just enough so
[15:36]that they could buy bread today imam al-hasan peace be upon him
[15:41]when he would give the hadith states he would give until the
[15:44]other person is removed from poverty the hadith states imam al-hasan during
[15:49]his life three times he split his wealth in half and would
[15:55]give half for the way of allah and twice in his life
[15:58]he gave everything he owned for allah three times he split his
[16:04]wealth in half and gave half away and twice in his life
[16:05]he gave everything he owned this is the way of imam al-hasan
[16:11]peace be upon him the generous one among the ahlul bait once
[16:17]a companion came up to imam hasan he told him said my
[16:22]master i have an enemy imam said who is your enemy who's
[16:27]the one that's bothering you he said i have an enemy that
[16:31]shows no mercy to the young or to the old to male
[16:34]or to female to arab or non-arab imam asks him who is
[16:37]this enemy that's troubling you he said poverty he said as much
[16:42]as i try i seem unable to remove myself from poverty so
[16:46]imam said wait a second he went he gathered some funds for
[16:52]this man he gave him some funds and he said if this
[16:55]enemy ever afflicts you again don't hesitate to come to us we
[16:59]will fight this enemy for you meaning what any time you find
[17:05]yourself in need you can come to us some of us you
[17:07]say here take this money i don't want to see you again
[17:10]hassan has an open door anytime you need help you need aid
[17:15]you can find comfort in seeking aid with imam al-hasan peace be
[17:18]upon him once imam hasan al-musaba was walking in medina he happened
[17:30]to walk by the wall of a garden of a farm owned
[17:32]by one of the companions of rasulullah outside the walls of the
[17:40]garden he found a slave eating some food after doing a lot
[17:45]of manual labor from a distance he could see that every time
[17:47]this slave would eat some bread he would take a bite he
[17:51]would rip some bread there was a dog by him he would
[17:56]feed the dog he would take a bite rip some bread feed
[18:00]the dog take a bite rip some bread feed the dog this
[18:05]gesture really moved imam hassan he went to this man he asked
[18:12]him why are you doing this why are you feeding this dog
[18:15]this man look at the response of this slave he says i'm
[18:23]embarrassed to eat and not another person watches me who's hungry i'm
[18:28]embarrassed to eat and something which has a soul is watching me
[18:32]and is hungry the imam said wait here wait here a couple
[18:36]moments he went he inquired as to the owner of this farm
[18:39]and the owner of the slave he went to him he said
[18:42]i wish to purchase this farm this garden and this slave from
[18:47]you what's your price the man named this price the imam purchased
[18:50]the garden and the slave he came back a few moments later
[18:54]he told the slave i went to the owner i've purchased this
[19:00]land and i've purchased you as for you you are free and
[19:04]as for this land i grant you the ownership of this land
[19:09]allah within less than an hour this man went from being a
[19:15]slave a poor slave to being a free man who is wealthy
[19:19]and who has land and property waiting for him this is the
[19:24]generosity of imam al-hasan and mustafa peace be upon him and another
[19:30]story the hadith states the hasanan imam al-hasan and imam al-hussein and
[19:36]their cousin abdullahi these three were walking in the desert they were
[19:44]traveling they were traveling through the desert in the distance they see
[19:49]a tent they come by the tent they knock they find an
[19:55]old lady inside the tent the lady after she finds out who
[19:58]these are these are the grandsons of rasulullah and the grandson of
[20:04]abu talib she invites them over for a meal she had one
[20:07]sheep she slaughtered that sheep and she prepared a meal for them
[20:11]after they were done imam al-hasan told her if you ever find
[20:16]yourself in medina you will be my guest a few minutes later
[20:19]the husband of this lady he was working outside he comes back
[20:24]after the imam and his brother and his cousin departed he comes
[20:28]he sees the sheep is gone so he asks his wife where
[20:31]did the sheep go she told them the grandsons of rasulullah came
[20:33]and i offered them a meal now this man he got angry
[20:38]he started nagging why did you do that you know we don't
[20:41]have too much we're always struggling with poverty why would you do
[20:44]this we needed that sheep we're in more need than them and
[20:47]he began to nag in naganak several weeks later this couple this
[20:54]elderly couple they visited medina to buy some basic essentials some staples
[20:59]now while walking this lady from the distance she spotted imam al-hassan
[21:03]when his eyes laid on her he immediately recognized her so he
[21:08]went he invited her they he offered them a meal this elderly
[21:14]couple the elderly lady and her husband after the meal he said
[21:18]to thank you for your graciousness even though you didn't have to
[21:20]offer us a meal even though you yourself are struggling he said
[21:25]i want to offer you 1 000 sheep as a reward for
[21:30]what you had done and then he told her go to my
[21:34]brother hussain afterwards she went to bro to the imam's brother imam
[21:37]and peace be upon him he also offered them one thousand sheep
[21:41]imam hussein said also go visit my cousin abdullah bin jaffar they
[21:47]went they visited abdullah bin jaffar and he also offered them one
[21:51]thousand sheep in return for one sheep what did they get three
[21:55]thousand sheep this is the generosity of bait you give one they
[22:01]return the favor one thousand times this is the generosity of the
[22:07]bait even if we can't reach the level of giving that imam
[22:16]al-hasan exhibits we ought to try to do our best once a
[22:19]companion came and asked imam al-hasan he said oh imam why do
[22:23]you give so much you give and give and give until you
[22:24]have no money left such that the hadith we stated earlier he
[22:28]split his money three times in his life and he gave away
[22:31]all his money twice so he said why do you give so
[22:36]much the imam responded i've made it a habit that when people
[22:40]are in need of me i give them i don't refuse them
[22:43]anytime someone is in need and they come to me it's my
[22:47]habit that i never refuse them and allah has made it a
[22:53]habit with me whenever i am in need allah never refuses me
[22:56]i've never asked allah once and he's refused me so i am
[23:01]afraid that if i break my habits with people if people come
[23:06]to me during their times of need and i refuse them i
[23:08]might find myself one day in need of allah and allah will
[23:12]refuse me this is the akhlaq this is the character of imam
[23:20]al-hasan peace be upon him allahu akbar he says i never break
[23:29]my habit so that's allah subhanahu ta'ala does not break his habit
[23:32]with me and we ought to earn to learn a lesson here
[23:35]dear brothers and sisters if people are in need don't refuse them
[23:40]don't reject them because at the end of the day our sustenance
[23:44]comes from allah we might think it's our hard work and yes
[23:47]like we mentioned yesterday we ought to put in the hard work
[23:51]we have to go to work early we have to be creative
[23:54]but at the end of the day sustenance comes from allah if
[23:58]he decides to cut it so if you make it a habit
[24:03]to aid people in their times of need allah subhanahu ta'ala will
[24:05]aid you in your time of need number four the fourth trait
[24:13]and inshallah the last trait that we will discuss tonight of imam
[24:17]al-hasan peace be upon him is that he would give to anyone
[24:25]and everyone he would give indiscriminately the quran states to asir two
[24:32]war captives came and knocked on his door and he gave them
[24:35]everything they had that night war captives they were even muslim they
[24:52]came they knocked on the door of emir and all the food
[24:57]they had that night the blessed household of emiliano imam ali lady
[25:01]fatima and hasanen all the food they had they gave it to
[25:06]them despite them not even being muslim dear brothers and sisters you
[25:11]don't have to be muslim or non-muslim or from your own ethnicity
[25:13]or try to give to anyone allah subhanahu ta'ala even to the
[25:20]fa right even the non-believer the one who is a fast he
[25:23]gives this air that we breathe the resources of this earth you
[25:28]find there are people who are wealthy who are well off they're
[25:30]not necessarily believers they're not muslim even but allah gives them allah
[25:34]from his generosity he didn't decide to bar anyone from his blessings
[25:38]so who are we to say that i only give to the
[25:40]muslim i only give to the movement i only give to someone
[25:44]from my country from my tribe from my village this is incorrect
[25:47]this is not the way in the path of peace be upon
[25:52]them once the prophet ibrahim peace be upon him he was inside
[25:57]his house he had prepared a meal for himself and his family
[26:01]a stranger who was visiting town he had nowhere to go so
[26:07]he came by the house of prophet ibrahim and of course the
[26:10]prophets being the generous man that he is he invited him he
[26:12]hosted him and he invited him for a meal now as they
[26:16]were about to eat of course the prophet ibrahim begins his meal
[26:22]with what the remembrance of allah now the other man he was
[26:24]a mushrik he was not a believer so as they say he
[26:28]just dug right in he began to eat the prophet became very
[26:32]offended how can you eat despite you being a creation of allah
[26:35]without thanking allah so he kicked them out of the house moments
[26:42]later who descends he says o ibrahim allah is disappointed in you
[26:48]allah is angry why did you kick out his servant his slave
[26:53]he says he speaks allah says oh allah well he he didn't
[26:58]thank you and that offended me he said ibrahim for 40 years
[27:05]this man never thanked me once he never mentioned my blessings upon
[27:10]him and yet every single day day in and day out for
[27:12]40 years i granted him sustenance now just once he didn't mention
[27:16]my name in your presence and you kicked him out so when
[27:21]prophet ibrahim heard this he went running after the man he invited
[27:24]him back again and then they started to eat after the meal
[27:28]the man said if you don't mind i want to ask a
[27:30]question when i first came in you were very welcoming i was
[27:34]about to eat you kicked me out and now you invite me
[27:38]back in what's going on prophet ibrahim told him he told him
[27:42]at first he offended me but then my lord he disciplined me
[27:46]he said you even though 40 years without thanking allah allah subhanahu
[27:50]ta'ala had given you sustenance i should learn in that path that
[27:54]even if you don't thank allah i should still be the one
[27:56]who is worthy of giving and give you he said if your
[28:01]lord taught you that i would like to worship that lord and
[28:07]that day he became a believer in allah so it doesn't matter
[28:10]who the person is a companion of imam hasan once came upon
[28:16]him he said oh imam how do i know if the other
[28:19]person is deserving a lot of us have this kind of mentality
[28:22]you know they say these people that beg on the streets or
[28:26]that come asking for aid they're not deserving they should go work
[28:28]they should do this this that how do i know they're really
[28:32]poor what was the answer of imam hassan to this kind of
[28:37]mentality he said true even if the other person is not deserving
[28:39]they are not a worthy recipient of your aid they're not truly
[28:43]poor or they could work whatever the reason is even if they're
[28:47]not a worthy recipient you should become a worthy giver doesn't matter
[28:52]what the other person is don't look at the other person you
[28:55]should be generous you should develop that quality and virtue of generosity
[29:00]and you be a worthy giver who cares if the other person
[29:04]is poor or not that's not of your business that's between them
[29:07]and allah your job is to do what is to be a
[29:12]worthy giver that's why in the what do we ask allah subhanahu
[29:18]ta'ala if we ask allah o allah what do we say treat
[29:28]me the way i deserve to be treated because if allah wants
[29:32]to treat us the way we deserve to be treated we sin
[29:37]every single day many of us commit all kinds of vices every
[29:42]single day if we want to be treated the way we deserve
[29:45]to be treated in the eyes of allah allah will give us
[29:50]the worst of treatment what do we ask allah if treat me
[29:54]the way that you are worthy of treating me allah it's from
[29:59]his magnanimity it's from his karma his generosity that he treats us
[30:04]well likewise if someone comes to you asking for aid who cares
[30:07]what's the situation of the other person that's between them and allah
[30:11]you be the worthy giver and give them you become even if
[30:18]they're not they're not worthy recipients you become a worthy and thus
[30:34]my dear brothers and sisters we must learn from imam hassan from
[30:40]the way he exhibits the virtue of generosity that you should give
[30:44]firstly try to give in secrecy not in public number two remember
[30:50]that you are not superior to the one you're giving in fact
[30:53]you should thank the person you give eight to because what because
[30:58]allah subhanahu ta'ala will compensate you multiple times whatever you give allah
[31:04]subhanahu ta'ala will give you an incredible amount of agile and reward
[31:08]for the small amount that you give the other individual try to
[31:16]give not pocket change we can't be like the imam and give
[31:19]a thousand sheep right but try to give something that will actually
[31:22]make a difference in the other person's life and lastly don't ask
[31:28]about the identity about the eligibility of the other person the other
[31:31]counterpart just give if they're not a worthy recipient you are a
[31:37]worthy giver or you should try to be a worthy giver we
[31:41]ought to learn from the generosity of imam al-hasan who would give
[31:44]such that three times in his life he split all his wealth
[31:49]and twice in his life he gave all his wealth but my
[31:52]dear brothers and sisters giving is not only material and we find
[31:56]that imam al-hasan peace be upon him perhaps his greatest his greatest
[32:02]form of giving is what not his wealth not his money not
[32:07]his sheep his son as him the greatest hassan ever gave and
[32:15]that history records till today one thousand four hundred years later is
[32:19]his son his young boy qasim was two or three years old
[32:25]when his father died when imam al-hasan was poisoned and martyred thus
[32:30]he grew up under the turlage under the mentorship of who of
[32:36]his uncle imam al-hussein peace be upon him it was imam al-hussein
[32:42]who raised him who taught him his virtues it was imam al-hussein
[32:46]who molded him into the bright star that would shine so brightly
[32:49]on the day of the day before ashura after imam hussain spoke
[32:57]to his companions and his family and he told them that what
[33:00]awaits tomorrow is inevitable death and martyrdom qasim al-qasam he came up
[33:07]to his uncle what did he ask him he said ya ama
[33:12]my dear uncle wahal anna men octal am i going to be
[33:16]among those who are killed will i die tomorrow now imagine he's
[33:21]an 11 or a 12 year old asking his uncle will i
[33:25]die tomorrow how does hussain have the heart to tell him what
[33:32]does the imam tell him he wants to test him he wants
[33:37]to see what he's made of he says my dear son how
[33:46]do you find death how do you see death the answer that
[33:52]qasim gives wallahi shakes my court to this day he says my
[34:01]dear uncle death for you is sweeter than honey this is an
[34:07]11 or a 12 year old what kind of mentorship did the
[34:12]imam give him such that he exhibits these qualities the night passes
[34:17]and the day of ashura arrives my dear brothers and sisters al-qasim
[34:24]sees the body of ali he sees the body on the ground
[34:31]he sees the bodies of all the companions scattered around the desert
[34:36]he can't handle it anymore he goes to his mother ramla he
[34:41]goes and he farewells her for the last time it's as if
[34:45]he tells her if you ever see youth again please remember me
[34:48]and if you ever drink water again remember me after he leaves
[34:56]the tent of the woman he goes to his uncle al-imam al-hussein
[34:59]peace be upon him he goes he asks him for permission to
[35:02]fight now for all the other companions all the other family members
[35:09]of the albeit they would insist and after a few times he
[35:13]would accept for them to go fight but for qasim he gave
[35:17]an absolute no he told him asam you're all that i have
[35:20]left from my brother imam al-hassan how can i let you go
[35:24]and you're such a young man you're 11 years old how can
[35:28]i let you go fight and your mother is waiting for you
[35:30]in the tents al qasim when he hears that he falls at
[35:35]the feet of imam al-hussein he begins kissing the feet of imam
[35:41]al-hussein he pleads with him he begs with him my uncle please
[35:44]just like the way your son ali akbar and abel abbas and
[35:50]the rest gave their life for you i want to give my
[35:55]life for you after a while they begin to hug and they
[36:00]begin to cry they cry so much such that the hadith states
[36:02]they both fell unconscious this is the only time on the day
[36:08]of ashura imam hussain falls unconscious eventually imam al-hussein he grants him
[36:12]permission to go and fight he wears his armor he wears the
[36:18]turban of his father imam al-hasan peace be upon him he mounts
[36:22]the horse and he goes towards the enemies as he's heading towards
[36:28]the enemies the enemies look at him they don't recognize him they
[36:31]began to whisper who is this is this another son of imam
[36:33]al-hussein we don't recognize him al-qasim al-hasan recites these awesome words [Music]
[37:06]a he says if you do not recognize me i am the
[37:19]son of the grandson of rasulullah the son of despite his young
[37:32]age he fights like a warrior he fights valiantly he begins to
[37:36]kill some of the enemies says the only way we can overpower
[37:43]him is if we surround him he tells the other enemies to
[37:45]surround him as al-qasim is fighting the strap on his sandal is
[37:54]undone as he bends over to fix his trap o believers an
[37:56]enemy comes from behind and he strikes the head of al-qasim he
[38:01]falls from his horse onto the sand now usually whenever a companion
[38:06]whenever a family member of imam and hussain would fall they would
[38:12]look to the tents and yell out but he was a child
[38:19]he looked towards the tents and he said my uncle please save
[38:25]me imam and hussain he hears out the cries of his nephew
[38:30]he rushes he rushes like a lion he arrives at the body
[38:35]of al qasim but by then it was too late his soul
[38:39]had departed his body he carries the body of al-qaeda he places
[38:44]it at his lap and he says he says he says it's
[39:02]difficult upon the heart of your uncle that you cry out for
[39:06]his help and he cannot answer you or that he answers you
[39:09]and that he is not able to help you he begins to
[39:14]drag the body of al qasim he places it by the body
[39:18]of his son in [Music] [Music] let's foreign
