[0:00][Music] foreign [Music] [Music] the second is that and the third is
[4:14]in the honor of imam abdullah al hussein the companions of rasulullah
[4:41]without a shadow of a doubt are from the most crucial generation
[4:47]of muslims for they are the first generation they are the generation
[4:53]that saw the prophet sat down with the prophet went into battle
[4:58]with the prophet they are the people that struggled in the way
[5:03]of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for the sake of the nabil and
[5:07]for the sake of religion for it's a vital discussion as in
[5:15]is the first generation immune from committing major sins are they immune
[5:21]from lying are they immune from apostating are they immune from leaving
[5:28]the religion of islam it's a major discussion and without a shadow
[5:34]of a doubt it's been a controversial one especially between the school
[5:39]of the sahaba what is called and the shias for many of
[5:49]the scholars of sunnah throughout the centuries have don't take fear on
[5:53]the shia as because apparently the shia has only believe in a
[5:58]certain number of companions and have done take fear on the shias
[6:01]because they are against some of the companions so it's a crucial
[6:07]discussion today in sha allah we want to discuss the companions of
[6:15]rasulullah our discussion tonight inshaallah is regarding the companions of rasulullah in
[6:23]shia thought what is the shia position for many years i've heard
[6:31]as a youngster only three stayed loyal to imam ali only three
[6:35]stayed muslim and the rest of them all left islam they all
[6:41]became apostates it's a discussion that needs to be discussed as in
[6:46]do the shia i really believe this is this something that the
[6:51]shias believe in and it's something that's been solidified within their books
[6:54]within the hadith corpus or not so our discussion will be specifically
[7:04]only about the companions of rasulullah in shia thought but let us
[7:10]go to what some of the scholars of allah say even kathir
[7:16]in his tafsir he says when discussing the verse that i just
[7:20]mentioned so surah 9 verse 100 he says after he mentions the
[7:30]verse he says therefore woe to those who dislike or curse them
[7:36]or dislike or curse any of them especially their master after the
[7:43]messenger of allah the best and the most righteous among them and
[7:52]the grand caliph the first historical caliph the failure group so the
[8:06]failing group the rafa are the enemies of the best companions they
[8:12]hate and curse them we seek refuge with allah from such evil
[8:15]this indicates that the minds of these people are twisted and their
[8:26]hearts have turned upside down for where are they in relation in
[8:37]believing in the quran they curse those whom allah stated he is
[8:42]pleased with important point very important point another crucial and this is
[8:55]a very very crucial book it's called usual it's written by an
[9:03]individual by the name of nas bin abdullah bin ali this book
[9:10]is probably the best book written as a refutation to the shias
[9:16]why because he actually for once he goes to shia hadith shia
[9:25]principles and tries to use them against the shia he mentions the
[9:28]the books of the shia are filled with lana take fear to
[9:36]those who allah is pleased with and they are pleased with him
[9:40]from the muhajiroun will answer the people of badr the allegiance of
[9:46]and the rest of the companions now this is the crucial point
[9:52]listen very carefully and they have excluded only a very small minority
[9:57]of the companions that do not even reach the number of fingers
[10:04]on a hand so he's saying the shias he's looked at the
[10:09]shia hadith corpus and the shia as do you take fear on
[10:14]all of the sahaba except you can't even count them in you
[10:17]can only it doesn't go for more than more than the fingers
[10:20]of one hand it's an important discussion i remember one of my
[10:29]teachers long his life he says when he converted to shiasm from
[10:33]the lectures in the english language from the shia lecturers and from
[10:38]the books that were translated alhamdulillah of course now he's mastered the
[10:42]arabic language and the different sciences but he says it seemed that
[10:48]yeah the shia i believed that all of the companions apostated except
[10:54]a few three four maybe five so let's discuss it today inshaallah
[11:03]we want to look at these narrations bring them all together to
[11:07]come to an understanding look at it from various different angles and
[11:13]one history what was occurring in that time what is truly meant
[11:18]by these narrations how many do the shias believe in to be
[11:28]good from the companions of rasulullah [Music] of zurara bin ayan this
[11:48]family ali ayan they were all sunnis they were from the time
[11:53]of imam al-bakr do you know how they converted they converted because
[11:59]of their sister see the power of what a woman can do
[12:04]she found truth she converted all of them or majority of them
[12:08]and they became from the most loyal companions and for over three
[12:15]generations they served the imams a woman did this said i said
[12:23]to abhija for allah how few we are the shias if we
[12:29]were together to eat a sheep we would not be able to
[12:34]finish it now of course depending on how big you are i
[12:42]don't know if i was with them what would happen but only
[12:46]a few number from what you can understand literally only there's a
[12:53]few numbers so the imam replies he says should i not inform
[12:57]you of something even more bewildering something more surprising he says yes
[13:09]so the imam says all perished i mentioned the arabic because we're
[13:19]coming to it slowly all perished except for and ingested with his
[13:31]hand free allahu akbar we're going to come to these discussions we're
[13:53]going to come to these slowly we're coming back to them another
[13:57]narration from imam abi jaffar al-baqar is one of the titles one
[14:07]of the names of imam al-bakr he says the people were the
[14:11]people of now most have translated this as the people that uh
[14:20]became apostates the people were the people were the people of rudder
[14:27]after the prophet sorry the people of the after the prophet except
[14:36]free so except three from the people of stayed loyal i said
[14:42]who are the three he said al-mukd may allah's mercy be upon
[14:54]them and then the people came to know after a short while
[14:58]crucial line now let me repeat it then the people came to
[15:04]know after a short while we're going to now understand slowly we're
[15:08]coming from every angle to understand what was happening these three uh
[15:14]are those around whom the banner of truth revolved and they refused
[15:20]to give baya to who abu bakr ibn until when they fought
[15:26]the command of the faithful allah on the force sorry until when
[15:33]they brought the command of the faithful allah on the force and
[15:38]he gave the pledge of allegiance let's just discuss this this land
[15:44]that i just mentioned it means [Music] did not want to give
[15:55]bay to abu bakr ibn abi in sunday books they say there's
[16:00]a bit of a confusion some of them try to connect it
[16:04]but it doesn't really connect one says oh no one narration general
[16:07]says he even forgot he was basically half naked running to give
[16:10]bayer another narration says in bukhari if i'm not mistaken where it
[16:20]says it was after six months but they say no he was
[16:23]busy with fatima that's why he didn't yeah so he couldn't leave
[16:26]for 10 minutes and it wasn't medina wasn't even that big so
[16:30]what we what we see is they're saying oh he was busy
[16:33]with father and son she was very upset with the death of
[16:39]her father okay so you're telling me he couldn't just said um
[16:46]zainab or imam al-hasan saying look after your mother five minutes salaam
[16:52]or he could have said send a messenger i'm going to give
[16:56]you better in front of the people at this time he comes
[16:59]ten minutes and goes back but no fatah zahara was a bit
[17:06]ill right so it shows that amir al-munu did not want to
[17:11]give allegiance jade another hadith from imam al-bakr again the people turned
[17:19]back that's the word used in arabic except three individuals so the
[17:30]narrator says what about amar the imam replied he swerved a bit
[17:36]then returned to the truth we're going to understand what you mean
[17:45]what happened then the people returned after that so the first ones
[17:49]to return were abu says they became seven none recognize the rights
[18:02]of the commander of the faithful except these seven there's an understanding
[18:10]to this also now we have the word [Music] i mean okay
[18:22]if we're going to look at it from a literal standpoint i
[18:26]mean their scholars are correct the shia as are saying everyone became
[18:32]apostates except three let's discuss now inshallah let's let's slowly slowly start
[18:38]to break down these narrations a very crucial point to be discussed
[18:47]and that we need to put forward linguistically in the arabic language
[18:58]actually mean yes true it could mean they became apostate someone of
[19:06]course they left religion but there's a scholar by the name of
[19:11]ibn he has a book called hadith it's a book that discusses
[19:15]he brings different hadith from the sunnah and he discusses them from
[19:20]the controversial hadith that's found in bukhari and other books is that
[19:28]it says there and i'm just paraphrasing that basically if you read
[19:33]it literally that all the companions by sunnistan this is the sunni
[19:38]books in the day of judgment they were all going one way
[19:40]or thirtu they became apostates after you that's what it says he
[19:43]says no murtadin it means contradiction disagreement of their duty and it
[19:53]is not understood as apostasy or belief thank you abina thank you
[19:59]very much we're going to use that in a second i appreciate
[20:04]that thank you okay now this hadith that i'm about to bring
[20:10]brings us a bit closer starts to tighten it up with all
[20:14]these narrations and others came after so after to ali and said
[20:27]you are by allah the commander of the faithful and you are
[20:32]by allah the most rightful person and closest to the prophet put
[20:36]forth your hand so that we can pledge allegiance to you that
[20:41]means they had many of the muhajiroun and ansar and the others
[20:47]had they very crucial this is very crucial and the other ones
[21:04]it seems like oh no everyone left no one was left except
[21:10]three for by allah we are going to die in front of
[21:16]you in your defense jade imam ali said if you are truthful
[21:25]then come to me tomorrow having shade your heads this is to
[21:32]identify that they will rebel they want to go to war against
[21:38]never wanted to stay silent never ever believe that it wasn't a
[21:43]thing where he died and abu bakr took the khilafah and then
[21:47]amir ramon just sat back and that's it cried a bit uh
[21:52]compiled a few books or he looked off the father to zara
[21:55]right now amir and mummy wanted to revolt amir al-manin wanted to
[22:03]go to war certain narrations and it breaks my heart when i
[22:10]mention it you know what it says after this the chad of
[22:18]rasulillah amir al-mukhmuneen he puts a zara on the donkey and he
[22:22]would walk her in madina knocking on the door of the muhajireen
[22:26]and ansar and he'll tell them remember do you remember that i
[22:34]am the caliph do you remember what rasulullah said in termini to
[22:52]you picture it my brothers at sahara on the donkey knocking on
[23:01]the doors telling people who's whoever's there just imagine that so it
[23:14]says the wire says but no one else did so they didn't
[23:25]come and meet him then they came a second time after the
[23:30]first and said so they came another time the next day probably
[23:34]he said you are by allah the most rightful person and closest
[23:39]to the prophet put forth your hand so that we can pledge
[23:42]allegiance to you and they swore an oath he said come to
[23:48]me tomorrow having shaved your head if you are truthful but no
[23:54]one shaved except three what does this show us that the companions
[24:05]many of the muharram and ansar and others believed in the but
[24:13]there were things that were stopping them some were scared but that
[24:19]doesn't make him a kafir yes he's he committed the sin for
[24:24]not aiding the imam of his time no doubt no doubt but
[24:26]it doesn't make him a coffer how many how many of us
[24:35]here break the oath that we have to imam sharif how many
[24:38]of us every day every sin that we commit we're breaking that
[24:44]oath or breaking that dua that we always recite so this shows
[24:53]us that no they had belief that it wasn't just three that
[25:00]only believed in emira mummy no no there was many now i
[25:04]want to just just so we can you can understand historically what
[25:07]occurred now of course we're talking from [Music] shia standard shia books
[25:15]today i'm not concerned with sunny books because we're talking about companions
[25:22]and shia thought one there the way that what occurred when rasulullah
[25:34]died you remember yesterday i mentioned the words of the sunni scholar
[25:42]that said imam is so important that they the companions wanted to
[25:48]choose the imam before bearing rasulillah this is what they they did
[25:58]so that's their importance for them so it shows us when this
[26:03]happened and abu bakr became the caliph there is indication reports historical
[26:10]reports that indicate a tribe that were basically rejected by rasulullah came
[26:24]in and took over medina you remember how daesh took over mosul
[26:30]a bit similar to that and a bit similar to when you
[26:37]know the daughter of abu bakr took over basra and murdered many
[26:40]muslims in basra but not many people want to talk about that
[26:43]so we see that this happened okay so this shows us that
[26:51]it it was a matter where people were in fear companions were
[26:56]unfair it even mentioned some reports and this is the second point
[26:59]many of the companions of rasulullah were beaten the third point and
[27:14]very important point historically is that many of the great companions where
[27:20]with the army of osama bin zayed remember when rasool allah said
[27:25]you have to go with the army of osama the young man
[27:29]many of the companions were with osama osama didn't even know that
[27:34]abu bakr became the caliph so it shows us these ahadith historically
[27:43]cannot be understood how some of even our scholars fortunately have understood
[27:50]it in that way but i believe that they didn't do good
[27:55]enough research it was something just oh the imam said they will
[27:58]take it on you need to look at things holistically bring all
[28:01]the hadith together so this shows us now historically what was occurring
[28:06]so they believed in imam ali we've agreed right all of us
[28:11]have agreed they believed in imam ali but some were scared some
[28:14]were not there some didn't make it and someone like ammar he
[28:19]came a bit late he swerved a bit didn't know what was
[28:24]going on because honestly when you look at the reports the historical
[28:30]reports when abu bakr took the khilafah it was it was like
[28:35]a shock just and it happened so many people didn't didn't know
[28:41]what was happening do we run do we stay do we what
[28:46]what's happening there's a narration in in kitab al hisal kitab one
[28:59]of our classical scholars what happens is first chapter for example talks
[29:06]about one he brings all the narrations that mention the word one
[29:10]second chapter two anything that talks about two readers it's been translated
[29:16]very nice book but when you get to chapter 12 when he's
[29:19]talking about the number 12 he discusses that there were 12.
[29:26]from the mahadarin and ansar that rejected the caliphate of abu bakr
[29:36]stood up and said i bear witness i have heard god's prophet
[29:43]say the following from the pulpit your divine leader after me [Music]
[30:07]your divine leader after me will be alibi talib he is the
[30:16]one person who is the most caring of the nation you see
[30:24]here this is very important so what's happening now with the other
[30:27]narrations that talk about three very important no this gathers this this
[30:35]how we need to start to look at history look at different
[30:44]topics recently and every every asian it happens what pops up what
[30:50]discussion discussion about fasting on day of ashura and i see many
[30:55]oh the sunnis how can you accept it because rasulullah legislated it
[30:59]in the day of in hararam and he legislated it when he
[31:05]got to medina because of the jews no that's not true what
[31:09]am i trying to say i'm saying even with our brothers and
[31:12]sisters from atlas sunnah we need to be fair there has been
[31:16]research done by scholars like even that have discussed this what is
[31:26]our problem with these narrations our problem is one of the philosophies
[31:29]of fasting on the day of for them is that it's a
[31:33]day of victory a day where you are happy because musa was
[31:35]victorious i say no no we're not we're not happy we're not
[31:42]happy at all the day of our is the day of tragedies
[31:48]the day abi abdullah was slaughtered in the lands of karbala ashora
[31:54]is the day where the tents of the daughters of rasulullah was
[32:00]burnt where the daughter of imam hussain would run from one tent
[32:10]to another asura is that day where the daughter of imam al-hussein
[32:15]no not yet brother imam hussain she would tell him i'm thirsty
[32:21]and the different children are thirsty the day of our is not
[32:30]a day of happiness in any shape or form we go to
[32:37]a passage in kitab tahara for sayyid khomeini he says it is
[32:43]also possible to say the fundamental belief of imam was in the
[32:47]first generation among the riyadh from the most important matters of islam
[32:54]and the first first generation who rejected the imam of imam of
[33:01]the maula the command of the faithful and the nas the designation
[33:09]of imam ali of the messenger of allah concerning his khilafah and
[33:14]leadership were rejecting a important matter without there being credible excuse from
[33:21]their like especially the people of al halliwell the elites the decision
[33:28]makers that we discussed yesterday this is a very important point why
[33:33]because we are saying yes those who openly showed that they are
[33:44]rejecting the khilafah of amir al-mu'min will be either two things they
[33:52]left the religion of islam or they are munafiqueen that's what he's
[33:57]basically saying because now we cannot say for example that all that
[34:05]the our brothers and sisters from sunnah why because throughout time so
[34:13]much of the truth was hidden now you bring them a hadith
[34:17]ali is the khalifa after me you have to look at the
[34:20]chain how many of the people have studied these different sciences or
[34:22]understand these things you bring them hadith no albeit doesn't just mean
[34:28]that doesn't mean follow it means be good to them you know
[34:33]there's a lot of playing around he was looking after fatima right
[34:39]so we see that yes are very important why because he's saying
[34:47]that the first generation saw it was clear to them rasulullah in
[34:51]many occasions ali is the khalifa after ali is the successor after
[34:55]ali is the leader of him all of these things it's clear
[35:02]but now this narration that i'm about to bring you pizza all
[35:09]together muhammad when the people did what they did giving allegiance to
[35:27]abu bakr when they gave allegiance to abu bakr nothing prevented the
[35:32]commander of the faithful from calling to himself except his concern this
[35:41]is very important now i'm going to it's very very important accept
[35:45]his concern and fear for the people that they would apostate from
[35:53]islam so that means we agree with with even athir in the
[36:00]meaning here for these narrations these companions many of the companions did
[36:06]not leave islam rather they broke their oath as as i have
[36:11]shown are we all understanding how we're going with this he says
[36:19]accept his concern and fear for the people that they would apostate
[36:25]from islam why did amir how did emir menin want to rebel
[36:29]we have narrations that say rasulullah says do not rebel if they
[36:32]take the khilafah from you except if you have 30 or 40
[36:41]supporters this is very important why why do i say 30 or
[36:44]40 because the narrations some of them differ um some say 30
[36:48]some say 40.
[36:50]either way a specific amount of supporters he didn't have these supporters
[36:55]to rebel that doesn't make them go far because if you're going
[36:59]to make them go far then many brothers and sisters will be
[37:05]kuffar because we're breaking offs every day so he says and begin
[37:10]to worship the idols they would go back to worshiping the idols
[37:16]and seize witnessing that there is no god but allah and are
[37:29]you seeing how we're tying everything together we're putting it all together
[37:33]so this shows the author of us did not look at the
[37:45]narrations holistically he was unfair and the shia scholars that came to
[37:49]the conclusion that everyone left islam except a few have not looked
[37:53]into our traditions well and i'm very sorry to say this it
[38:01]was more beloved to him imam is continuing it is more beloved
[38:06]to him to accept to what they had done rather than them
[38:14]becoming apostates and leaving the whole of islam that means they didn't
[38:19]leave islam see how when you look at things holistically what happens
[38:26]now you see ex-muslims what they what do they do they bring
[38:32]a verse from the quran kill the polytheist people wherever you find
[38:36]them okay sir can you look at like the other verses look
[38:43]at the hadith that are explaining it are you seeing muslims left
[38:48]right center all of the muslims just any one that is a
[38:52]non-muslim or is a mushrik you know god forbid that just slaughtering
[38:55]killing people left right center no verily it is only those who
[39:04]embarked on what they embarked so the people that did the crime
[39:09]who are destroyed wow this now has put it all together so
[39:18]those who wholeheartedly without force gave allegiance to abu bakr ibn abby
[39:26]are destroyed as for the one who did not do that and
[39:32]entered in what the people entered without knowledge nor enmity towards the
[39:40]commander of the faithful then this act of his does not make
[39:45]him a car fair i don't even need to continue anymore but
[39:54]i will and it does not remove him from islam and that
[40:00]is why ali kept quiet about this matter and gave allegiance wiles
[40:10]compelled happy with roses and daisies giving it to him never when
[40:27]he could not find support he could not find supporters he was
[40:35]compelled some narrations it's found in the book kitab sulaim now of
[40:39]course our scholars are in dispute whether this book is um accepted
[40:44]or not but it gives a certain detail that doesn't contradict what
[40:49]we are seeing is that it says amir al-mu'manin they took him
[40:57]they put they tied his neck dragged him dragged him and by
[41:04]the way he wasn't he just stood there and they somewhat arrested
[41:07]them no no there was it states that reports state that maybe
[41:13]a few hundred jumped on him put him down and did this
[41:16]to him that's what the report says now we have finished the
[41:26]discussion any sunday scholar that comes from now on and that's why
[41:29]i called i titled this lecture the final cut i don't hear
[41:34]it anymore whenever you hear it just send them the lecture because
[41:38]it's finished for too long you're far why you believe that the
[41:47]the companions of kuffar no we believe that certain companions are munafikin
[41:58]hypocrites and some of them are our masters we follow their footsteps
[42:09]as mentioned in the verse earlier and those who follow them in
[42:15]goodness yes this gives us a premise that these companions we follow
[42:19]have to be upon goodness we have to define goodness we're not
[42:25]going to follow the goodness of someone that attacked the daughter of
[42:30]rasulullah we're not going to follow the goodness of those who took
[42:40]the khilafah from amir al-mu'manin let's look at the traditions that discuss
[42:46]the shia now we've we agreed that discussion is finished the final
[42:54]cut i'm not going back to it no more anishia scholar sunni
[42:57]scholar that says it please look at the hadith so that we
[43:03]can understand things we don't just take one narration or two and
[43:07]throw out the rest again in kitab al hisala and the chain
[43:17]of narrators are all trustworthy to god trustworthy narrators ah there were
[43:26]twelve thousand companions of god's prophets a thousand of them were from
[43:36]medina two thousand of them were from mecca and another two thousand
[43:38]were from those who the prophet pardoned when the who had become
[43:52]muslim 12 000 8 000 from medina two thousand from mecca and
[44:00]two thousand from who had become muslim they were no there were
[44:08]no kadriya these are sets that came up in the time of
[44:12]the imams mohammed who act according to their opinion they cried day
[44:37]and night and said oh god oh god please take away our
[44:41]souls before we eat barley bread the imam is praising twelve thousand
[44:47]just a bit of a important point to um for us to
[44:57]put forward these twelve thousand did they all die before rasulullah surely
[45:01]many of them stayed alive after rasulullah but here the imam is
[45:07]praising them the imam came about 140 years after rasulullah something like
[45:12]that crucial point so the shias do not say only three unfortunately
[45:22]many of our lecturers only mention these three but we have so
[45:26]much about the other companions of rasulullah and a very crucial point
[45:34]and this is one of the commentaries of my someone that i
[45:39]i see as my teacher salman he says these are of the
[45:44]greatest companions so they was on the highest level there are more
[45:48]who were upon goodness so these 12 000 were the best of
[45:53]them the elites the you know there's no discussion about them righteous
[45:58]pious muttering imam sajah says oh allah asks for the companions of
[46:19]muhammad especially those who did well in companionship so he's not saying
[46:24]just anyone that saw the prophet believed in him and died upon
[46:29]that belief that's their definition of companion no he did well in
[46:33]his companionship who stood the good test in helping him when he
[46:39]made them hear his messages and children manifesting his words fought against
[46:45]the for their fathers and sons and strengthening his prophecy and it's
[46:50]a lengthy but it shows us what that we praise those who
[47:00]are good with the prophet it wasn't just three that were good
[47:05]with the prophet there were many there were many again one of
[47:13]our grand scholars sheikh al-mufid one of our classical scholars in his
[47:19]book kitab he says on the death of the prophet may allah
[47:24]bless him and his pure family the community differed over his imam
[47:27]so over who the imam is going to be after him all
[47:33]from benihashim shah the man who is known as the the one
[47:45]who um basically professed to the two testimonies and people like them
[47:55]among the important and ansar all these maintained that he was the
[48:06]successor after the prophet so from our classical scholars he's saying it
[48:15]our classical scholars are stating that many of the muharram and ansar
[48:24]stayed loyal and believed in the khilaf of amir al-mu'min and another
[48:32]very now these last two points of is very important i'm sure
[48:37]many of you have heard of the book the author is sayid
[48:43]abdul hussain al-musa he's one of our grand scholars he was from
[48:52]lebanon one of the lions of tasheon one of the only few
[48:56]to lead salah i think it was in mecca medina one of
[49:00]the my memory is not serving me leading the prayer he said
[49:12]he mentions 171 companions that are praised in the school of athletes
[49:20]now of course some of the brothers and sisters from sunnah are
[49:26]probably like no only 170 71 i'm coming to a quick explanation
[49:32]don't worry he was a specialist in the study of the narrators
[49:43]of hadith he has a book called which is like an encyclopedia
[49:53]of the narrators of hadith he mentions 533 companions that are praised
[49:59]and revered in the school of achievement how important is that so
[50:07]he's done a very crucial study about the companions and he found
[50:18]533 companions to be praised and revered in the school of atlas
[50:23]this is very crucial and i will end it in sha allah
[50:29]by saying in conclusion one not three companions many more they just
[50:36]broke that oath when you ask them to shave their hair to
[50:41]shave and come so that they can rebel they broke that oath
[50:47]and of course there will be a punishment for that but it
[50:52]doesn't make them allah another point to be understood the shias revere
[50:59]and love most of the companions it's not all of the companions
[51:06]that were hypocrites we are lovers of the companions that stayed loyal
[51:13]to rasulullah and the household of muhammad lastly to gather it all
[51:22]together one we believe some of the companions of rasulullah are hypocrites
[51:32]we believe also a big group of them who are righteous pious
[51:42]loyal companions and the third one which is crucial some of them
[51:47]are unknown some of them are unknown so we don't know their
[51:51]name we don't know anything about their history we can't judge and
[51:55]we can't just give just one solid principle for all of them
[51:59]sunnah they believe in a dialect of sahaba the justice of the
[52:03]all of the companions that the companion will never lie against rasulullah
[52:09]never lie against rasulullah today we spoke about the companions of the
[52:20]messenger of allah but there were no companions like the companions you
[52:39]know what he says to them he says it's dark he says
[52:46]to them it is dark why don't you go i'll allow you
[52:53]to leave they never left him they stood firm with him there's
[53:01]a scene just before i hand it over to the sayyid that
[53:09]truly is remarkable ahmad bin sad throws the first arrow and he
[53:15]says tell the emir i am the first that i am the
[53:20]first one to shoot i arrow against the camp of hussein and
[53:24]then they start to shoot the arrows do you know what hussain
[53:32]says to his companions he says may allah have mercy upon you
[53:40]rise rise all servants of allah or slaves of allah for these
[53:50]arrows are your messengers to death and you know what they did
[54:00]they rose and it says that the first reign of arrows the
[54:05]first reign of arrows killed many of the most of the companions
[54:10]of imam hussein meaning they were standing like shields for abba abdullah
[54:21]may allah make us like the companions of hussein for the imam
[54:30]of our time and i'll leave you just with this question all
[54:37]of you if you are someone that doesn't have the knowledge to
[54:43]you know put it out there you can help out in different
[54:49]ways i have my good friend here sami he's got he's been
[54:52]driving me around my car broke down if you're someone that has
[54:58]your alhamdulillah allah has given you help out financially mother sayyid hussain
[55:03]he gave us his house to make a medjlist so inshaallah i'll
[55:10]leave you with this question what are you doing for the imam
[55:17]of your time are you going to be like the companions of
[55:23]hussein or are you going to be of those who just loves
[55:32]hussein but his love means nothing because he's not doing anything for
[55:35]the imam of his time saying that for the lord you
