[23:54]my dear brothers and sisters when someone commits a sin against god

[24:08]we basically know that allah is so patient meaning allah does not

[24:16]rush to punish this person because in the end no matter how

[24:24]long i live in the end when i leave this world i

[24:28]will be in his hand he will take me and he will

[24:35]hold me accountable there is no rush for him god is so

[24:45]patient that he does not rush himself to punish right right away

[24:53]allah would wait and if he did not punish in this world

[25:00]then there is hereafter and that is why we believe in hereafter

[25:04]that's why we call it the day of judgment the day of

[25:08]justice because if i escape justice in this world there is no

[25:14]way i can escape it there so amir al mumineen has a

[25:20]beautiful word he says if allah subhanahu wa ta'ala prolongs the period

[25:38]of time in which he would not hold me accountable that doesn't

[25:45]mean he has been negligent or he didn't care because in the

[25:50]end he is waiting for me there is a highway you see

[25:54]sometime police officers hide somewhere in the highway on the ramp on

[26:00]the highway waiting for those who over speed there is a highway

[26:05]and that highway is death i may go right and left east

[26:10]and west but in the end there is death and he will

[26:13]catch me and then he will hold me accountable for everything i

[26:18]have done however my dear brothers and sisters according to many hadith

[26:25]there are certain sins that accelerate the punishment in this world meaning

[26:33]allah is impatient with them he would not wait for the day

[26:38]of judgment to punish or discipline the sinner rather he would punish

[26:47]him in this world some grave sins what are they you may

[26:55]think it is neglecting someone's prayer or fasting no allah is so

[27:03]patient with things that relate to him his rights but he will

[27:10]not be so patient when i do injustice to others he will

[27:18]not tolerate that there are three sins that would accelerate the punishment

[27:41]there are three types of sins deviations that would accelerate the accountability

[27:50]accelerate the discipline accelerate punishment in this world before hereafter what are

[28:00]they not to be dutiful toward your parents not to be good

[28:09]to your parents to be disrespectful to be negligent toward my parents

[28:18]they are in need and i don't care financially they are in

[28:24]need and i don't care and i'm capable i don't care physically

[28:29]they are in in need they need someone to take them to

[28:32]the hospital to their doctor to their appointment and i do have

[28:37]time i make up excuses why because i'm busy with my girlfriend

[28:45]i'm busy with my own engagement with my own personal life i

[28:53]have no time for them they need someone to take care of

[28:57]them and their children are not there you know my dear brothers

[29:02]and sisters once in a while once in a great while i

[29:07]go and visit some people at the nursing homes at the nursing

[29:12]home what i notice is those people are physically being taken care

[29:21]of the best medication the best care the best food the best

[29:27]health care everything is excellent here they lack one thing they lack

[29:38]love love of their own children you see people sitting there in

[29:45]the waiting room or in the social hall elderly people sitting for

[29:53]many hours ten hours twelve hours talking with each other sometime they

[30:00]look at the door hoping someone a son a daughter would come

[30:05]come and check on them most of the time they go disappointed

[30:10]nobody no son no daughter would come and check on hardly hardly

[30:17]they see someone a family member would come and check on them

[30:22]maybe once a week if they are so lucky if not once

[30:27]a year someone would come and check on them disrespecting parents being

[30:35]negligent toward parents would accelerate the punishment from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[30:42]in this world and when i talk about punishment it could take

[30:48]many forms it could take the form of being troubled with your

[30:55]own health he had a healthy life all of a sudden his

[31:03]health or her health deteriorate without any natural reason natural cause they

[31:11]don't know why what happened there could be some other reasons hidden

[31:16]reasons one of them is disrespecting people losing wealth someone was extremely

[31:25]wealthy doing very well he says i don't know what happened all

[31:29]of a sudden i lost all my wealth i tell you what

[31:33]it could be it could be because of the way i treat

[31:37]my parents i'm not saying everybody loses wealth that means they have

[31:42]been negligent to their parents no but it could be it could

[31:46]be one reason for me losing the privileges given to me by

[31:51]god is being negligent to my parents because parents are a red

[31:59]line in their eyes of allah so much so that in islam

[32:05]in our religion even if your parents are not muslims even if

[32:11]they don't believe in god you still have to be kind to

[32:14]them you still have to reach out to them if they struggle

[32:29]with you god says in the quran if your parents struggle with

[32:35]you to make you ascribe a partner for allah though it's a

[32:41]grave sin to ascribe partner don't listen to them yet be kind

[32:49]to them yet be nice to them yet be caring to them

[32:56]them having a different faith than yours a different doctor than yours

[33:02]different deity than yours doesn't make any difference at as far as

[33:07]you being a good son or a good daughter as far as

[33:12]reaching out to them so one of the things one of the

[33:17]sins that allah do not tolerate till the day of judgment is

[33:23]by me being negligent to our parents allah will see will show

[33:28]me the consequences of our own deed our my own negligence toward

[33:34]my parent in this light in this light i will see it

[33:38]in this light if i am negligent toward my parent i will

[33:44]see the result the consequence in this life before hereafter what other

[33:52]sins that accelerate the accountability from hereafter to this life number two

[34:01]doing injustice to people doing injustice someone has not done anything to

[34:11]you you go and do injustice to him someone has not harmed

[34:17]you you intend to harm him this is considered doing injustice against

[34:27]other people this will accelerate this will accelerate god's punishment in this

[34:34]world before hereafter anytime a person commits injustice against other people allah

[34:46]will make him suffer the consequences in this life before hereafter look

[34:53]at all those tyrants none of them escaped that fate all those

[35:00]tyrants who did injustice to their people to their nations allah subhanahu

[35:08]wa ta'ala held them accountable in this life before hereafter he made

[35:13]them pay the price for what they have committed for the atrocities

[35:21]they have committed against people allah made them you remember the guy

[35:27]in libya some nine years for forty two years this man continued

[35:35]continued to oppress his people to be negligent disrespectful abusive for forty

[35:45]two some people would say where is god's justice this man has

[35:50]been long in power committing injustice against innocent people you saw that

[35:57]with his with your own eyes how he was captured how he

[36:02]was humiliated how he was appealing to those people who called rats

[36:08]two weeks later earlier he called them rats he was appealing begging

[36:14]them begging people not to be harsh with them to be merciful

[36:21]with them merciful do you know what mercy is do you even

[36:25]know what mercy is have you been merciful with people to do

[36:33]injustice to other people the hadith from the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa

[36:41]sallam says there are people who are vulnerable vulnerable financially they cannot

[36:56]hire a lawyer they could be vulnerable legally they are not legal

[37:04]immigrants for example some people take advantage of that because he is

[37:10]illegal immigrant i take advantage of him i don't pay him what

[37:14]he deserves because where would he go he cannot go and complain

[37:18]to the authorities the minute he goes and and press charges he

[37:23]will be deported i take advantage of this or it is someone

[37:29]who doesn't know the law here has no access to lawyers has

[37:33]no access to you know the legal system i take advantage of

[37:37]them the hadith says beware of doing injustice particular to those people

[37:43]who have no access to lawyer or to the justice system because

[37:48]then then allah will be their lawyer allah will be their lawyer

[37:54]allah will indict you on their behalf allah will make himself a

[38:01]lawyer for those vulnerable who have nobody to go to never at

[38:08]all underestimate any person because any person no matter how weak he

[38:13]could be connected to god he can ask allah for help and

[38:17]when someone asks allah for help allah will not say no allah

[38:23]especially for those oppressed victimized allah will make himself himself will make

[38:33]himself their lawyer that's why that's why if you are mistreated before

[38:48]thinking to go to a lawyer the government before calling the police

[38:54]there is one police that you can call on immediately and that

[38:59]is god by saying do you know what that mean do you

[39:06]know what does this word means meaning allah has a sufficient police

[39:12]and he's a sufficient lawyer for it so number two number three

[39:23]a sin that will accelerate punishment from god in this world before

[39:29]hereafter someone did you a favor and instead of returning that favor

[39:42]i completely ignore his favor rather i would treat him in a

[39:48]bad way i would mistreat someone has done me a favor and

[39:55]instead of me acknowledging the favor i kick him in the back

[40:01]i kick him in the back this kind of sin will invite

[40:07]mundane punishment from god this kind of punishment will make god this

[40:15]kind of sin will make god rush to support that that person

[40:22]who has done me a favor and yet in return i backstabbed

[40:28]him because allah will not tolerate would never tolerate backstabbing allah would

[40:35]come into his defense so in general my dear brothers and sisters

[40:42]anytime people's rights are involved allah is not so tolerant allah may

[40:50]relinquish his own rights but he will not relinquish he will not

[40:56]relinquish people's rights if i have done injustice to someone allah says

[41:04]go if you want me to forgive you go and ask for

[41:09]forgiveness from that person before asking me for forgiveness if it's worth

[41:15]to me i will forgive you but there are things involve people's

[41:19]right people's money people's property people's dignity go solve it with them

[41:25]first go and settle your issue with people whom you owe before

[41:32]coming to me then i will forgive you
