[5:49]difference between living and being alive now i don't know what exactly

[5:53]he's going to come up and discuss because for me the answer

[5:56]is easy if you you haven't truly lived unless you've met someone

[5:59]so inshallah we are looking forward to a very fascinating presentation by

[6:03]hyderasan please help me welcome him to muhammad i really don't know

[6:23]what to say after that saying so salaam muhammad foreign in the

[7:07]quran it states and it says establish prayer so you may remember

[7:17]me i'm going to use this verse inshaallah a little bit later

[7:22]but i'm going to set up a process but first before i

[7:27]do that i want to share a little story with you that

[7:30]somebody just shared with me not too long ago and i swear

[7:32]to you when i was sitting just to have dinner this person

[7:37]was reading a book and this is the story they shared with

[7:39]me they opened the book and it completely related to the subject

[7:43]matter of tonight i'm going to read it to you verbatim and

[7:49]insha allah will also connect this at the end but here's the

[7:54]story and here's what it states a samurai and the love of

[8:03]his life had just gotten married and were traveling by boat to

[8:14]their honeymoon when a huge storm overtook them and from there somebody's

[8:21]calling me i'm sorry the samurai's wife began to tremble she was

[8:30]afraid in the quran it states when a wave always overtakes them

[8:39]this aspect this next part is so beautiful they supplicate to allah

[8:49]with what tranquil hearts hearts of submission the emotion is intact but

[8:56]now watch this she begins to be afraid she begins to tremble

[9:02]all of us when our life is on the line and it's

[9:07]about to be taken we begin to shake your identity will tell

[9:13]you who you are at that moment now watch when when she

[9:20]ran then to her husband she found him perfect she found him

[9:25]peacefully looking out into the ocean as as if the sun was

[9:36]out and the waves were calm he had a state of calmness

[9:45]all that soul that's secure remember this point a little bit later

[9:55]on she ran up to him and yelled how can you be

[9:58]so calm when we're about to die then she says do you

[10:09]not value your own life when the samurai heard her say that

[10:18]he pulled out a sword put it to her neck and then

[10:28]asked her aren't you afraid she laughed and she said and he

[10:51]love me and you would never hurt me the samurai smiled and

[11:02]said well i too i'm in the hands of the one who

[11:07]loves me so how can i be afraid who's that person who's

[11:15]that for you when everyone leaves you who is that do you

[11:20]pick up the phone and call your best friend who do you

[11:25]call that's key point when the world deserves desserts you will flee

[11:46]from who your brother your mother your father your spouse your kids

[11:52]on that day everyone will have something that will occupy them you

[11:58]are an individual you're responsible for your own soul how does this

[12:08]work how do you get to that point where there's something in

[12:12]your heart each one of you right now seriously check your pulse

[12:16]if you're not moving right now just a little bit check your

[12:21]pulse feel life feel it there is a spiritual birth and there's

[12:41]spiritual death you are born in this world twice i'm going to

[12:46]explain the first part i'm going to talk about is your first

[12:54]connection you have three connections you have three relationships there are more

[12:58]but there's three relationships i'm going to talk about the first relationship

[13:04]is with allah the second if you establish that properly the second

[13:10]relationship is with yourself the second relationship is with yourself the third

[13:20]relationship is with other people there's a relationship with nature also and

[13:24]a relationship with temptation i'm not going to go into those i'm

[13:27]just going to use the first three now on the first level

[13:38]understand this in your heart each one of you has a heart

[13:42]allah does not in the quran he states he does not create

[13:45]a person with two hearts there's one heart that's inside of you

[13:49]there's one keyhole on your heart there's one keyhole this this keyhole

[14:03]only has one key it only has one key can anybody guess

[14:14]what the key is there's a beautiful hadith and it says this

[14:20]is not the answer but i just want to give you a

[14:22]little more in this hadith it says there is no land or

[14:30]the heavens allah is talking to us that can hold me except

[14:39]what the heart of a believer do you really understand what that

[14:44]means seriously really think about that your own your own heart is

[14:48]the only thing that can occupy allah azzawajal so on that level

[14:54]what does it mean to be alive what does it mean is

[15:01]it emotion is it a condition do i have to love someone

[15:04]what is it some of us are spiritually dead some of us

[15:13]will get born maybe even tonight you don't know so on that

[15:18]level can anyone just guess right now what is that key can

[15:22]anybody tell me just guess it's okay you want to be the

[15:25]first let me see who's the hero can anybody really have some

[15:30]courage a lot of us masha allah we have muscles but do

[15:33]we have mental muscle there's a difference see i'm i'm literally playing

[15:36]with you here i'm trying to get somebody to they're hard to

[15:39]move masha wow there we go see i know i get it

[15:42]go ahead excellent excellent anybody anybody have another answer who's got more

[15:56]courage than my first brother yes there's one key to the to

[16:05]the heart what's that beautiful i love that what else mercy beautiful

[16:12]what else anybody can give me beautiful sand that's the key to

[16:22]the stomach that's why allah makes us fast he said food by

[16:26]the way we don't want people online okay in the quran it

[16:32]states these verses are so beautiful it's the facet of zikr that

[16:48]god remembrance that you understand that you and your heart are living

[16:53]but is allah in between that know that allah intervenes between you

[17:03]and your heart we are closer to him than his own jugular

[17:11]vein but law promises you something listen to this he says this

[17:30]whoever follows my path whoever follows my my message whoever follows what

[17:36]i tell them to do what happens they will live a happy

[17:40]life and whatever goes against what my message forgets about me my

[17:52]remembrance and please pay attention to the next point because this is

[17:55]the key to the connection surely he will have a dis depressed

[18:01]life think about that think of the time we live now we're

[18:07]talking of if the heart is alive or is it dead the

[18:13]next aspect is so important when you begin to understand this and

[18:18]you take this key and you plug it into what your heart

[18:27]when you turn that key what do you think is going to

[18:33]happen you connect that's your spiritual birth that's the power you become

[18:47]alive the soul is activated there's something that happens to you i'm

[18:53]telling you this because this happened to me i was just like

[18:58]everyone else and i'm not saying everyone else is bad i was

[19:02]just a normal person just doing what thing needed to be done

[19:07]i didn't care about religion that much i didn't really understand what

[19:10]direction i needed i didn't and masha'allah the saiyan's father was one

[19:20]of the main people that helped me and directed me to find

[19:26]my way i went on a retreat i didn't belong there i

[19:33]had a tight shirt on people looking at me i have drawn

[19:40]my hair i still have tone my hair okay and i'm just

[19:42]i don't feel like i fit but i didn't care i didn't

[19:48]care and i went and when i went i swear to you

[19:54]when i came back it was four days i was a different

[20:00]person i walked up to a fence it was tall i climbed

[20:07]it i sat on top of it and i'm wondering who am

[20:14]i do i go back to the side and i'm watching and

[20:18]i'm watching everyone it was like a transformation for me but i

[20:25]didn't know i didn't know what i was experiencing i didn't know

[20:30]what's going on in my heart but something happened i don't know

[20:34]what at the moment i didn't know i didn't know what it

[20:40]was and i sat on the fence for a long time i

[20:41]didn't know which side to climb back to i was in torment

[20:45]my soul was in torment it's going back and forth back and

[20:50]forth i didn't know but the emotions that i touched i could

[20:56]not ignore there was something inside the heart i couldn't ignore it

[21:02]i couldn't and i sat there and i waited and something happened

[21:10]i'm not going to talk about it i decided i made a

[21:18]decision to turn the key and i climbed down the other side

[21:25]as soon as my feet hit the ground i knew i was

[21:28]different something had changed i didn't know what something changed and now

[21:34]what do i do with myself i'm walking away from people i

[21:40]knew all my friends are telling me you're going to the london

[21:42]school the hell's wrong with you seriously these are things sorry to

[21:46]use the word hell but that's that's what i was getting but

[21:51]i didn't care i didn't care who wanted to live my life

[21:59]i don't know i felt complete there was no void all my

[22:08]voids i was lonely i had my own problems they were gone

[22:10]everything was gone i don't know how i don't know what happened

[22:16]but it was gone i felt fulfilled then i looked over where

[22:28]i was i looked at the other side and it scared me

[22:31]i'm like oh my god that's where i was and i looked

[22:37]across and i saw so many people but i couldn't judge because

[22:42]i didn't know where i was but then i had to make

[22:50]another decision i had to walk away from the fence and once

[22:53]you start that journey there's no turning back you walk and you

[22:59]walk away and subhanallah but what you touch is this there are

[23:06]emotional reservoirs in your heart that you were trying to fill from

[23:14]the other side of the fence now when you turn the key

[23:19]and you begin that dikkar submit to me connect to me i'm

[23:27]the first relationship you gotta have come to me and you begin

[23:35]to submit your heart to allah your emotional reservoirs are being connected

[23:44]to what love as i say mentioned they're being connected and filled

[23:51]by who an ultimate resource ultimate it's unlimited it's constantly what giving

[23:58]it does not stop love mercy and says all these things your

[24:08]heart connects to that but it's an endless source and you realize

[24:12]that everything else is a resource that awakening is incredible because now

[24:20]you're going to the unlimited versus what the limited once that source

[24:29]begins to fill your emotional state guess what happens this is the

[24:35]key your heart becomes an ocean of emotions you become a giver

[24:45]why because you feel abundance in your heart the heart is filled

[24:51]there's no void there's no void in my heart that i need

[24:53]to connect to another person i need to connect to wealth i

[24:58]need to connect to security from other things that need to fill

[25:02]the voids that i have loneliness is a void that i have

[25:07]why because i don't have the correct relationships so therefore i feel

[25:15]lonely go to social psychology you'll see this but what is the

[25:24]relationship structure what is your dominance hierarchy what is the importance hierarchy

[25:29]that you have is your heart alive or is it what dead

[25:36]are you emotionally rich or are you emotionally povert what happens if

[25:45]you don't do this now i'm gonna before i go to that

[25:49]there's one more thing i need to connect the second relationship to

[25:53]the most beautiful thing that happens is this once you connect like

[26:02]that and you connect to the ultimate resource the one thing that

[26:05]allah begins to give you is security security fills the heart remember

[26:13]the samurai how come he's so calm in a state of fear

[26:21]or your own life is on the line who can give me

[26:28]something about imam hussain like this when he's standing on the land

[26:32]of karbala and he says to allah says ya allah if this

[26:37]pleases you take as much as you want let the swords take

[26:42]me look at countless stories of imam ali where he is in

[26:48]the middle of battle and he hands over his sword to his

[26:51]enemy what gives you that kind of security when your heart is

[26:56]full of fear when chaos is all around you with a hurricane

[27:00]that's really moving the ocean a hurricane moves an ocean it moves

[27:05]a body of water that's that big do you realize what kind

[27:10]of power do you have to have to be able to move

[27:14]that amount of water but your heart is still bigger than that

[27:19]it has more power than a hurricane when you can maintain that

[27:26]safety that calmness when the fear strikes and now a lot of

[27:32]us we think that when the imam comes out what do you

[27:37]think is going to happen you think you're not going to be

[27:40]tested with fear you think that just oh there's the imam i'm

[27:44]just going to go follow him i know that i know he's

[27:49]there you don't think you're going to be tested by fear some

[27:53]of us we haven't built our heart enough to be able to

[27:59]submit our fear to our cause we haven't trained ourselves enough so

[28:07]now when the heart becomes alive the first thing you want to

[28:14]do is you want to connect to allah welcome establish prayer for

[28:19]my remembrance allah says you want to come to me establish this

[28:24]first when you establish prayer three levels i'm going to give this

[28:28]real quick and i'll move on i don't have enough time the

[28:31]first level is that's the first level is when the heart it

[28:37]connects to allah it opens what happens the heart expands your heart

[28:46]opens you turn the key that's the first level second level the

[28:50]second level in the heart is when you detach you start detaching

[28:55]from the world the heart it because it's so filled you disconnect

[29:00]you reattach to the source and you detach from every resource that's

[29:07]when the heart is disconnecting and when you detach like that you

[29:12]have strength because you pull the one you become indifferent which is

[29:16]the level we get to is a zohod zod is being indifferent

[29:20]i gain something i gain it i don't gain it i don't

[29:25]care doesn't matter to me the heart becomes indifferent it's not attached

[29:30]to anything worldly when you don't do this in your life you

[29:34]will have to do it the second you die the second of

[29:38]separation if you don't pray you will feel the weight then the

[29:41]minute you take a dollar from someone you will feel the weight

[29:46]then you're not going to feel it now nothing happens to you

[29:49]i took a dollar nobody saw me nothing is going to happen

[29:51]to you the second the soul is being separated from the body

[29:55]you will feel that weight understand that when allah swears by what

[30:07]the angels will pull out the soul violently that detachment is gonna

[30:14]happen you don't want that angel then he swears by the soul

[30:16]by the angels that pull out the soul softly watch a person

[30:22]dying go wash your dead body awaken yourself and take that key

[30:28]and unlock your heart and let allah's love come into your heart

[30:34]allah's emotions in terms of what he wants to happen inside your

[30:38]heart then you become alive that's your birth that's your spiritual birth

[30:44]what happens if you don't do that on the other end before

[30:46]i finish let me finish the third step now move what happens

[30:50]on the other side when we don't become emotionally rich we become

[30:56]emotionally impoverished our heart turns into a desert not an ocean of

[31:03]emotion it turns into a desert becomes dry we're not givers we're

[31:08]takers we flip the script the third level is alphana this is

[31:15]the stage of imam ali when when he connects allah this is

[31:18]as you ascend in prayer as you hit higher levels in prayer

[31:22]this is what happens to you the third level when imam ali

[31:27]is when i look at something i see nothing but allah over

[31:30]it under it in it doesn't matter that's another stage now what

[31:40]happens when allah gives you that security and you're fulfilled in your

[31:48]heart this connects the second relationship the relationship with who yourself i

[31:56]want to give you something real quick the second relationship right now

[32:05]think about it preteens preteens means 13 to 15 even 12.

[32:18]the suicide rate has jumped from 2010 till now by 153 in

[32:29]one decade think about the relationship with the self suicide is the

[32:47]ultimate self-hate and it's so prevalent now why why how much do

[33:06]you have to hate yourself to want to take your life when

[33:11]you look on the inside and that mirror that's on the inside

[33:15]and you see your own reflection your mental reflection do you like

[33:20]that person or do you hate that person that's not easy and

[33:28]i'm not telling you it's easy for that person who's like that

[33:31]but i'm telling you i see it and it's happening all over

[33:39]so many people are hurting from the inside and it's the saddest

[33:48]place because it's so lonely it's so lonely and when you get

[33:59]a call from a mother and you feel her heart is coming

[34:03]out of her chest why because her daughter or her son what

[34:12]do you do so all i'm saying to you guys is get

[34:21]the first relationship right if you don't this world will take you

[34:26]and it will drown you guaranteed it's happening trust me it's all

[34:36]over there is a psychological war that's happening and that war is

[34:42]meant to buy real estate in your mind and you can't stop

[34:49]it not even you you know how it's done you have better

[34:53]relationships with this thing now than you have with people look it's

[34:56]i swear to you it's ringing in my hand see what i'm

[35:03]saying distractions instagram facebook all these are designed to be very addictive

[35:08]they're designed the actual apps themselves they're designed to be brought very

[35:14]addictive they're designed to hook you you're the product you know how

[35:23]to advertisers you're the product try to put this thing away for

[35:30]an hour watch how many times you remember it count them if

[35:32]you dare put it away for an hour watch how many times

[35:37]this thing will go off in your own head it's already got

[35:39]its own alarms in your own head you've been programmed congratulations i'm

[35:47]not telling you it's a bad thing but use it properly there's

[35:51]i just want to tell you guys it's a side note there's

[35:55]a documentary on netflix please go home and watch it it's by

[36:01]the top experts in every field the person who created the like

[36:05]button is on in that documentary the person who created and they're

[36:11]all telling you all of them stay away they don't know what

[36:15]they've created i'm not saying social media is a bad thing overall

[36:21]but it's a monster and that it's a virus that's unleashed inside

[36:26]of you you can't even control it now it's called the social

[36:36]dilemma write it down please watch it it's called the social dilemma

[36:41]now when you get to a point you have a relationship with

[36:48]yourself three levels if you get to a point where you become

[36:53]one that's soul that's secure that means you've turned on the key

[37:04]of zikr you've submitted properly in your own heart you've established prayer

[37:07]you're on that road and now you've become that ocean you have

[37:14]abundance in your heart what happens when you have abundance and you're

[37:18]fulfilled do you need anything to plug into your heart no imam

[37:26]salaam says he said i stood on the gate of my heart

[37:30]and let nothing in but the love of allah the keys it's

[37:41]incredible when you do that the heart becomes abundant it's no longer

[37:45]a desert it's no longer scarce look at people who are out

[37:51]in the clubs who are out in just after money after certain

[37:55]things i swear to you i've talked to so many i'm just

[37:58]giving you my own experience it doesn't mean that everyone is like

[38:01]that it's just my own experience the heart is dry why because

[38:10]it's spiritually dead there's no time put into that category your spiritual

[38:16]infant when you just get born then you think you don't need

[38:21]to grow i just gave you how you need to grow in

[38:23]terms of those aspects spirituality needs conditioning you need to work out

[38:29]every single day and allah gives you five times a day he

[38:34]says work this you do this watch what will happen to your

[38:36]heart come to me plug that in properly watch what will happen

[38:44]muhammad now when i have that heart of abundance what happens here's

[38:53]what happens i begin to actually have care for myself i look

[39:05]in the mirror i don't see image problems body dysmorphia i don't

[39:15]see these things i'm fulfilled i'm connected properly when i look out

[39:21]and i see myself i have respect for myself i take care

[39:25]of my health i take care of my oral hygiene i take

[39:28]care of my prayers i take care of me as a person

[39:32]i don't want anyone to take care of me i'm taking care

[39:36]of myself i become financially dependent i become what relationship my relationships

[39:41]i build them to a higher level my self-development i'm responsible for

[39:47]my spirituality i'm responsible for my community i become responsible for my

[39:55]health i become responsible for look at the independence allah has given

[39:58]you now when you become like that what happens when you're secure

[40:04]here's what happens in terms of there's four attachment styles in psychology

[40:08]anybody know of the attachment theory anybody heard of it okay there's

[40:12]one person couple people three people for okay masha'allah a lot of

[40:18]psychology people in here okay great so now the attachment theory one

[40:21]one of the actual attachment styles is a secure attachment it's upon

[40:27]the law after how many years just psychology it's already here it's

[40:41]a secret okay don't tell anyone but at the end of the

[40:45]day i'm telling you subhanallah just touch the religion open this thing

[40:51]up i swear to you the heart will open ask allah allah

[40:59]i can't feel allah there's after this we have we have actual

[41:04]supplications my heart is sealed i don't know how to connect to

[41:09]you show me show me plea i don't know i'm i'm lost

[41:13]i'm confused please i'm coming to you you're the ultimate resource i

[41:19]don't want to connect to anything else my heart is not made

[41:22]to connect to anybody else you're the first key please give me

[41:26]that key that's all i want ask just sit down you and

[41:32]yourself and reflect and to sit and say ya allah please i

[41:35]don't know what's happening to me i want to share something with

[41:42]you please take this with you my mom is not doing that

[41:49]well she's lost all capability to literally move she's watching now but

[42:03]she calls me over she grabs her hand she can only you

[42:08]really use her right hand and you know what she does she

[42:17]does this she's having a very difficult time speaking you can't understand

[42:24]her but we just by gestures we understand and she says this

[42:34]bed is a godly prison she goes that world outside that's a

[42:40]worldly prison she goes don't get trapped she's giving me motivation look

[42:48]where she's at i have my everything but when allah starts to

[42:55]take things away from you be very careful with what you have

[42:58]right now be very careful where your legs take you be very

[43:06]careful watch your hands open be very careful because those things are

[43:08]going to speak against you when you get to that point and

[43:13]you can't move that is a place you don't want to be

[43:19]then it's too late that patience that you have to have when

[43:24]you can't move and no one can help you only have one

[43:32]door and it's what it's up no one's going to come to

[43:36]your aid trust me no one no one will come there's nothing

[43:42]that they can do allah challenges it says when the soul reaches

[43:53]the color boom and it said who is coming on the other

[43:57]side the angels see the separation of your soul and they start

[44:05]saying who is coming then it says this and at this moment

[44:11]he knows it's the time of separation it's time to go there's

[44:16]no going back what are you going to do with your own

[44:17]soul who are you going to ask for help who's going to

[44:21]come to your aid at that moment who cry if you're gonna

[44:26]cry right now cry for your own soul cry for what's happening

[44:30]to you the second that you're gonna about to commit something cry

[44:33]for that moment because allah sees it where imam says every action

[44:39]and every word you say they're being written by the angels in

[44:44]a letter to allah understand these things put them next to your

[44:49]heart and protect them that's how you become alive that's how you

[44:54]stay alive no one can touch you that if you're on a

[44:57]bed like that you smile i swear to you the thing that

[45:00]gives me the most amazing strength is when i see my mom

[45:04]smile it doesn't leave her face she's in pain there's that but

[45:14]it her smile when i look in her eyes and i see

[45:18]her smile it's how how does a person where you're incapable of

[45:24]movement but your lips speak a book just a simple movement of

[45:35]17 muscles in your face they just move and that has so

[45:43]much power please it's not about anyone it's about you it's you

[45:50]against you who's gonna win turn your heart to where it becomes

[45:56]alive turn that key fill your heart with the right resource the

[46:01]right love the right care the right attention from that resource connected

[46:05]there once you do your heart fills once your heart fills you

[46:13]feel secure yeah and when your heart becomes secure you can smile

[46:29]on that bed i'm okay why because he's secure they wanted to

[46:41]kill rasulullah imam where took his place can your cause be greater

[46:53]than your own life will you put your own life on the

[46:56]line for your cause is your heart that strong does it have

[46:59]the kind of faith you don't fold it doesn't matter the challenge

[47:05]challenge me i'm here here's my flag here's what i represent i'm

[47:12]right here and i'm not moving this is my belief structure is

[47:17]your heart like that can you go in the next five minutes

[47:21]can you are you ready challenge yourself see it scares the hell

[47:30]out of me me personally i don't know i'm trying i'm up

[47:34]here i'm saving myself i don't know will allah accept this maybe

[47:39]maybe there's something so deep in my heart that my intention is

[47:43]not pure i don't know maybe i want you to cry so

[47:47]i feel better look look at me i'm doing this maybe that's

[47:52]there i don't know i have to watch my intention i have

[47:58]to watch my own heart now what happens when you have security

[48:01]in the heart and you're abundant in terms of your own giving

[48:06]when the heart opens and it's full of abundance and it overflows

[48:15]towards other people in the quran it says what for everything the

[48:28]prophet did he says i want nothing from you that heart you

[48:32]know what happens to it it only gives it doesn't want to

[48:36]take true love between you and that person is when you're totally

[48:39]wanting to give and i don't expect anything in return why because

[48:46]i'm fulfilled i'm secure i don't need you to plug into me

[48:50]to make me feel what not lonely my heart is already white

[49:00]in a state of abundance so now imagine you have two people

[49:05]like that who come together and they have the third relationship one

[49:09]heart is abundant and it has the love of allah the next

[49:14]heart is also abundant and it also has the what the love

[49:18]of allah but both hearts overflowing i'm doing this for you and

[49:21]this action not because what i'm looking for something in return i'm

[49:27]giving it's in a state of giving who's always in the state

[49:34]of giving who who allah is always giving you no matter what

[49:38]you do even if you commit the worst sins he's always raising

[50:31]is allah once you connect and your heart is fulfilled you become

[50:36]literally secure once you become secure then your relationship with yourself you

[50:40]have it's not self-conceit you look at yourself in a respectful way

[50:44]there's self-love there's self-admiration you care for yourself your oral hygiene your

[50:50]own health your own heart everything means something to you you have

[50:55]the love for the self because you're a creation of allah i

[50:58]have to take care of it because it's my responsibility so my

[51:02]own relationship with myself takes a greater level my self-efficacy goes up

[51:07]my self-confidence goes up my self-esteem goes up everything goes up when

[51:11]you connect to allah allah uses us as the criteria to get

[51:19]to know him and he says you have to get to know

[51:28]who you now on that level when you connect to the third

[51:32]person which is the third relationship which is you and other people

[51:36]what happens you're constantly in the state of giving your confidence is

[51:41]high you take other levels that people will not step into the

[51:47]danger you're running towards the fire other people are running away look

[53:45]hold mercy in their heart or anger in their heart when your

[53:49]heart is an ocean or your heart is a desert please follow

[53:54]along when a person feels anger can you be empathetic think about

[54:09]what i just said if you hold anger in your heart can

[54:14]you feel empathetic anger cannot exist without blame when you blame can

[54:23]you have mercy it's very difficult very difficult now watch what happens

[54:28]to your perspective when when you either have mercy in your heart

[54:34]or what anger in your heart if your heart was like a

[55:00]desert and it was hard people would have fled away from you

[55:02]watch this watch this point now when a person holds mercy in

[55:10]their heart what happens that's a lens it's an emotional lens if

[55:13]your lens in your heart is emotional mercy this is what happens

[55:20]your eye sees through mercy your eye has a merciful lens please

[55:30]psychology there's something called the fundamental attribution error what that means is

[56:57]impatience think of the other two these are two categories that you

[57:03]guys are listing in but the hardest thing when to really understand

[58:05]their personality or are you judging their situation when you have to

[58:10]give an excuse what are you doing you're judging their situation and

[58:14]you have to give 70 different reasons can you sit there and

[58:19]jud for lily think about it how long would it take you

[58:23]to come up with 70 different excuses how long would any of

[58:29]us do it would you sit there okay there there is there

[58:33]is it you wouldn't do it after like five or six you're

[58:37]okay it's okay it's okay you're free to go it's you cut

[58:41]me off you're having an emergency now let's go to the other

[58:49]side watch this please what happens when your heart is full of

[58:51]anger the eye is full of anger and now you look at

[59:01]this person and they just cut you off which category are you

[59:06]going to put them in are you going to judge their character

[59:10]or are you going to judge their situation are you going to

[59:14]give them the 70 excuses are you even going to even think

[59:18]of an excuse are you gonna even see the category at all

[59:21]your heart is quick to judge and people's personality are easy to

[59:35]we work learn the stuff so you don't make the mistakes and

[59:48]realize that i have the emotional cancer now what happens when you

[59:55]have emotional diseases like anger and other things the eye becomes angry

[59:59]and it judges through anger and you know what happens you judge

[60:02]the person's personality you judge their character now watch this when it

[60:09]comes down to you and you judging yourself watch what happens when

[60:14]you judge that person and they cut you off with a heart

[60:18]of anger you're going to judge their character look at this guy

[62:26]different lens you don't put on a lens of anger you put

[62:29]on a lens of mercy and when you're see through the lens

[62:34]of mercy you'll judge people's situations you won't judge their personality just

[62:37]like you would like to be judged where someone would give you

[62:40]excuse see how important it is to have the right emotions in

[62:48]your heart who do you want filling that emotion who who's the

[62:54]source of mercy bismillah all these names of allah when they become

[63:03]stamped on your heart that person becomes secure and when they become

[63:12]secure guess what they become your own emotions become a reflection of

[63:17]allah because your actions change who you become changes the way you

[63:22]move the way you talk everything changes so for me when i

[63:27]went on that retreat four days my heart flipped i went over

[63:31]the fence i landed on the other side i walked away it's

[63:37]been 20 years i've never looked back and i'm still walking away

[63:44]from the fence i never thought i would be up here never

[63:47]in 11th grade i didn't talk to one person for a whole

[63:53]semester i didn't know how to put two words together now try

[63:57]to stop me from talking you can't something happened i don't know

[64:06]what but i love it i swear to you i would stand

[64:08]here for hours and i don't care doesn't matter you know why

[69:32]become something that's really really impactful of that why because i've heard

[69:36]the person enough to understand but also feel with them in terms

[69:40]of what's going on i feel their pain but i also also

[69:44]understand maybe where they're going wrong now so i can apply the

[69:48]right medicine for that whatever spiritual disease may be there and all

[69:51]of us have it i'm not talking we're just i'm a doctor

[69:56]no all of us have this there are all of us need

[69:58]to work on something it's the one who finds the right mentorship

[73:08]changed so environments matter people matter everything around you matters but it's

[73:12]at the end of the day where are you in your own

[77:10]say he says ya allah forgive my people they don't know it's

[77:23]very difficult to maintain mercy when the heart is angry that's why

[77:28]i talked about those two it's very difficult to maintain mercy in

[77:33]the heart is to remove blame from the person and to set

[77:38]it towards the right source what's causing this behind this person that's

[77:43]also wisdom you're taking it to another level of thinking and awareness

[77:53]saying no this should not be done with what those kinds of

[78:00]people but but what happens to your own heart you need to

[78:05]maintain that for your own one sanctity when you do that then

[78:11]when you stand in the middle of battle your heart is still

[78:27]imam ali in the first battle there were 71 warriors that were

[78:33]killed on the other side 31 of them were killed by imam

[78:40]ali they were warriors is imam ali have anger and just wants

[78:49]the other side that's application in terms of aggression towards the right

[80:14]way of allah imam ali puts down his sword he puts down

[80:22]to him he says follow principle not personalities subhanallah these things you

[81:08]allah he's protected he's secure doesn't matter but his heart is still

[81:22]hate you it's very difficult to pray for someone that doesn't like

[81:27]you it's very difficult so tonight the higher spiritual form is everyone

[81:34]that doesn't like you pray for them with a sincere heart watch

[81:39]what will love watch what will happen to your heart those are

[81:43]keys for your heart remove the emotion from anger watch what will

[81:48]happen i love your question by the way i think it's an

[81:52]excellent question because wisdom would dictate that no i have to stand

[82:00]i don't change my heart i stand up with wisdom against someone

[88:34]give what happens i'm living out my natural creation therefore my action

[88:39]coincides with what my original aspect so allah does the same thing

[88:47]with us allah is also in his nature when he is giving

[88:52]us in terms of that value in terms of what we have

[88:55]allah is showing his nature of generosity allah is showing that look

[89:01]i've created you i didn't have to but it's my nature to

[89:06]always give so it's part of his lot it's part of his

[89:12]own being living out in terms of what he needs to show

[89:15]because he wanted to show his own what creation in terms of

[89:23]who he is in terms of that aspect when something is living

[89:28]its nature what happens to them they're just being one it's allah's

[89:34]nature to create it's allah's nature to give it's allah's nature to

[89:41]be what generous because that's his essence so when you're like that

[89:48]this is what you get allah created us for that because he

[90:44]in terms of that feeling that dissatisfaction i don't know how to

[90:49]connect to allah that connection and i want to submit to allah

[90:54]i have voids but again the the the question is so general

[90:59]that when you up there's so many specifics underneath and everyone has

[91:03]a frequency it just depends on the person but i can give

[91:07]you generalities but when it's applied on specifics it can go in

[91:11]a million different ways because your question is really an application question
