[0:28]Muhammad for the purification of the souls the enlightenment of the hearts
[0:56]the acceptance of the deeds and for the hastening of the reappearance
[1:00]of Enlighten your souls and the atmosphere with the recitation ofat upon
[1:10]Muhammad Muhammad My respected Elders my sisters and brothers in Islam if
[1:26]you and I today we're about to purchase an item for from
[1:33]a website such as Amazon or any other company one of the
[1:36]first things that we often do is read the reviews and choose
[1:41]that which has the highest ratings we live in a world that's
[1:44]commercialized each and every one one of us wants to purchase a
[1:51]quality product that has been used and indeed praised and recommended by
[1:55]others we take the recommendations of others seriously we like to buy
[2:01]products that are indeed used and benefited by many human beings usually
[2:06]we choose that with the highest rating a one that gives us
[2:12]confidence that it will serve us that it will not necessarily break
[2:15]down that it would fulfill its purpose when it comes to for
[2:19]example choosing hotels when it comes to choosing Services when it comes
[2:26]to individuals that we would like their service often we ask people
[2:32]to recommend if they are good or not Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[2:37]tells us the best speech and the best Direction and guidance is
[2:43]the Holy Quran Allah waala says Allah when you and I are
[2:53]looking for the best we cannot even indeed contemplate anything greater than
[2:58]the Holy Quran the immaculate error free sinless infallible words of the
[3:05]almighty subhanahu wa taala so powerful that Allah says if I was
[3:12]to reveal the Quran on a mountain it would crumble if you
[3:22]want the best as far as stories Quran tells us that it
[3:26]is the best indeed nothing can come close to the Quran and
[3:33]it is in a brilliant Immaculate gift to us from Allah subhah
[3:39]waala and tonight is the night of the Quran tonight is arguably
[3:47]the most important night of the year the night in which the
[3:51]Holy Quran in its entirety was revealed to the holy prophet Muhammed
[3:58]mustam how many times you've seen on nights like this such as
[4:09]the nights of people speak about the importance of the Quran but
[4:13]seldom remember the holy prophet of Islam tonight is also because if
[4:21]we're so proud of the Quran we need to be proud of
[4:27]the individual who received the Quran in his heart tonight also Al
[4:30]belongs to the most Immaculate and the greatest human being the choicest
[4:35]and the final of his Messengers the individual who is indeed the
[4:39]vehicle for this Quran to be presented to you and I imagine
[4:45]if we ask the Quran this question tonight what do you say
[4:50]about yourself what does the Quran say about itself one thing that
[4:57]it will tell us is that if the entire human beings and
[4:59]the Gin were come together to produce anything like the Quran they
[5:03]will never be able to do so Allah subhah wa tala says
[5:15]it's impossible it is undefeated it's unmatched it goes through challenge after
[5:20]challenge it has presented mankind with a major challenge for, 1400 Years
[5:24]bring a Surah like it bring an Ayah like it bring anything
[5:29]like the Quran but human beings are unable to do so under
[5:32]any circumstances the Quran also invites us to reflect why because Allah
[5:40]subhana wa tala says if you and I wish it can be
[5:41]a source of guidance if however we do not take the Quran
[5:46]seriously and do not implement it in our lives it could hurt
[5:49]us please understand meaning what sometimes we see the Quran as an
[5:54]option something that many of times are reminded to to associate and
[6:03]have a connection with it but the Quran says interestingly Allah says
[6:11]there are two important characteristics of this holy book number one is
[6:18]what another verse says it's great for the heart for the soul
[6:26]it's absolutely mesmerizing for our spirituality yet also it's a book of
[6:32]R it opens up Avenues of Mercy for us but if you
[6:37]don't take the Quran seriously if you abandon it if you for
[6:41]example take it lightly the Quran says Quran also makes the oppressors
[6:51]in a worse State oppresses means what those who are unjust to
[6:55]themselves those who sin are what oppresses the idea is that the
[7:00]Quran is inviting you and I to take this matter seriously to
[7:03]consider it as truly the guide for you and I and to
[7:09]learn from it and there are people who a have been inspired
[7:11]by the Quran and B have been hurt by the Quran meaning
[7:17]what can I be hurt by the Quran famously [Applause] says how
[7:43]many people recite the Quran and the Quran is sending L on
[7:47]them imagine we are on a special night that belongs to the
[7:53]immaculate book of Allah this is a scary thought that I am
[7:55]picking up the holy book and the holy book is not pleased
[8:00]with me because my picking up of the holy book is only
[8:03]ceremonial it's just there for the sake of doing it or I
[8:07]only do it because the month of Ramadan I do it because
[8:12]of the night of I do it because I have to recite
[8:14]and the room and on the eve of the 23rd otherwise I
[8:19]will not join everyone the Quran says excuse me outside month of
[8:24]Ramadan are you on a journey to discover my beauty or are
[8:30]you negligent if God forbid I am negligent there is a problem
[8:33]because I'm just going with the flaw here there are a number
[8:35]of examples of individuals in Islamic history who have come to this
[8:39]realization and have let the Quran Inspire them one of them is
[8:45]whom remember this name is one of the sh of he is
[8:54]buried next to Hamza in the battle site of uh M's family
[8:57]were aristocratic he was an individual who was bought up in a
[9:00]household that was quite wealthy and Rich they were against the religion
[9:05]of Islam in Mecca they stood against the prophet they used to
[9:09]sell perfume and very expensive Commodities musab one day was walking and
[9:13]he saw the messenger of God peace and blessings be upon him
[9:17]as family and had a beautiful habit you know what he would
[9:20]do everywhere he would recite the Quran in next to the KA
[9:23]Quran when he's walking Quran so the people can listen people can
[9:28]be inspired people can indeed be mesmerized so this man M said
[9:34]to him this is amazing I've never had something like this his
[9:36]heart was opened up to the Quran and therefore he became a
[9:41]Muslim when he became a Muslim his parents said that you must
[9:43]be imprisoned at home they imprisoned him they said you will not
[9:45]leave the house unless you denounce Islam he managed to escape he
[9:50]came to the Prophet The Prophet said to him a a while
[9:51]later I have a special mission for you how old was he
[9:55]probably 20 21 very young the prophet loved the youth he empowered
[9:58]the youth he would say that what that this these youth are
[10:04]the future therefore he would say to him go to Y imagine
[10:08]the city beloved to the prophet and as it short known as
[10:19]Alina Al is a city that today many of us love and
[10:21]there are many of the shrines of or the graves of the
[10:25]used to be the shrines yet the individual who caused Medina or
[10:29]to be become Muslim is mus do you know how he did
[10:33]it he's young he went to the city when he went to
[10:36]the city the people there they had already given one pledge to
[10:38]the prophet they said okay let him come so now he's come
[10:43]to the city he's a stranger and people are wondering what is
[10:46]this Islam he begins to recite the Quran he had a beautiful
[10:52]voice a mesmerizing voice when he would recite the Quran people fell
[10:55]in love with the book to the extent that they were so
[10:58]inspired they would throw themselves into a well to wash themselves in
[11:04]case they would die before they would go anywhere where they would
[11:07]do the in order so that they become Muslim immediately caused Medina
[11:12]to become Muslim how using the Quran these are glorious individuals in
[11:17]Islamic history that we respect and indeed rever similarly you have a
[11:24]individual by the name of please understand the story F was an
[11:31]arch or a well-known Thief at the time of he used to
[11:38]be well known for scaring communities because he would attack a village
[11:42]he would look at the houses and he would rans sack and
[11:48]loot whatever he wishes from the houses so one day he came
[11:53]to a village and he saw a girl a lady washing clothes
[11:55]next to the water she saw him started to shake immediately when
[12:00]they see this F they think that's it our village is finished
[12:03]so he looked at her and says tonight give warning I'm coming
[12:08]I will what ransack this Village I will take everything she ran
[12:12]to her parents and everyone in the village tonight f is coming
[12:16]yes that night he what he used to do is not walk
[12:22]and open the door he would jump between walls and enter the
[12:26]people's houses from the garden so one time that night he was
[12:34]jumping between houses one house was reciting the Quran look at this
[12:39]sometimes the guidance comes from one individual who is not necessarily looking
[12:44]for the likes and the showof but he's doing it for Allah
[12:46]and Allah changes human beings through him or her that person was
[12:49]reciting the Ayah is it not time for those who have belief
[12:59]to start having that fear of Allah in their hearts is it
[13:06]not time now Subhan Allah this man F he heard this he
[13:12]froze something hit him something in that ay made sense to him
[13:17]then he froze and said yes it's time he came down he
[13:23]said sorry to that family left and declared that now he has
[13:25]What stopped stealing and he's seeking Toba and forgiveness from the people
[13:29]he came to him and said to him I want to start
[13:35]a new life I want to begin a new chapter I want
[13:39]to be closer to Allah through you and the Quran Imam welcomed
[13:41]him he became a scholar and one of the disciples and Companions
[13:46]of one ay in the Quran can make your life completely transferred
[13:53]can truly take you to Heights that's why the Quran says do
[13:56]you think only the human beings Inspire are inspired by the Quran
[14:00]how many of you have gone to a mosque known as M
[14:02]Jin I remember many years in I would go to this mosque
[14:07]and people are gathered around it thinking that the Jin are still
[14:10]there to the extent that now they've removed the sign today when
[14:15]you go there you don't see the sign saying M of Jin
[14:16]anymore because people think that the Jin are still there of course
[14:21]the Jin are everywhere we have narrations that says the moment you
[14:25]mention the Jin they attend yes so the Jin they would come
[14:28]in that place the prophet was what praying next to a tree
[14:40]these Jin came they started to listen to the Quran recited by
[14:47]the prophet then they said to the prophet what they would say
[14:50]amongst themselves and Allah would say to the prophet we have had
[14:53]this Quran that is unbelievable it guides towards righteous therefore you find
[15:01]not only human beings but also the Jin find the melodious words
[15:05]of the Quran truly transformational yet you have those whom Allah wanted
[15:12]to guide but unfortunately the Quran would not penetrate their hearts listen
[15:18]to the story of a man by the name of this is
[15:23]mentioned not by name but Allah refers to him inah this man
[15:30]was a very wealthy Rich hugely important personality amongst qur they respected
[15:36]him because of his power in Mecca but because of his expertise
[15:44]in poetry he knew what is poetry and what is not so
[15:47]when he began to hear and listen to the Quran his heart
[15:53]softened a bit he began to be drawn towards it one day
[15:56]he was sitting amongst the leaders of quray Abu sufyan Abu laab
[16:01]Abu jahal he said to them what do you call Muhammad they
[16:04]said he is a sorcerer he said have you ever seen sorcery
[16:10]from him they said no he said what else do you call
[16:11]him they said he's a poet he said to them these things
[16:17]that he recites is it poetry they said no he said what
[16:22]else do you call him they said we call him ma deviant
[16:25]insane he said to them have you ever seen him act in
[16:31]a way that they notes that he's insane they said no they
[16:34]said what else do you call him they said we indeed started
[16:39]to call him all kinds of things for example that they would
[16:43]call him a kab he said to them don't you call him
[16:48]you call him Lion now and he is known as the truthful
[16:54]trustworthy one so one day Abu jahal this wretched enemy of Islam
[16:58]went to him and tried to deceive him so this man if
[17:02]he had become Muslim it would change the whole of Mecca it
[17:07]would tip Mecca towards Islam completely because he was such a powerful
[17:11]man in Mecca his tribe and everything so Abu jahal sits next
[17:16]to him very sad so M looks at him and say to
[17:17]him why are you sad Abu jel said qur have gathered a
[17:21]lot of money for you but they're saying you know you're going
[17:26]to start worshiping the god of Muhammad that's sad you know there
[17:32]is a battle sometimes in our lives between choosing faith and choosing
[17:36]our careers between faith and our reputation between faith and what we
[17:40]want to do I remember a few years ago in the United
[17:46]States I won't mention with City I was asked by one of
[17:50]the m in one of the community members he said I need
[17:53]to take you for coffee and I know this taking for coffee
[17:56]usually doesn't mean just the coffee they usually usually means a special
[18:00]request no problem alhamdulillah we get a coffee with it if I'm
[18:07]lucky a donut so once I was sitting with him in the
[18:08]coffee shop he said I have a problem and I need you
[18:12]to help me I said bismah what's your problem he said you
[18:15]know I have a daughter who's just being accepted into medical school
[18:19]mashallah I said brilliant we want our sisters to be out there
[18:22]we want them to be doctors and lawyers and all these professions
[18:26]we are proud of our sisters who are doing this and are
[18:30]professional he said but there is a request that I have from
[18:32]you I said what is it he said you know she's thinking
[18:35]she wants to go into medical school but you know the medical
[18:37]school maybe will mistreat her because of her hijab she she's asked
[18:42]me to ask you can you give her permission for five six
[18:44]years to take off hijab but I promise you when she becomes
[18:49]a doctor she'll wear the hijab again a you're asking me over
[18:55]coffee and Donut for a hijab to be taken off I said
[18:57]to him what do you mean he said just molana 5 six
[19:02]years I promise 5 six years please I said number one who
[19:05]am I to give you permission I am nobody you're asking me
[19:10]I am just a servant of Allah I have no legal authority
[19:13]to give you permission in fact nobody has unless you have a
[19:18]very special circumstance that the mar would consider secondly why is she
[19:24]putting her Korea before her faith do you think somebody who takes
[19:27]their hijab off to be a doctor or any other field is
[19:32]going to be successful you're wrong you're starting off your life as
[19:38]a professional on the wrong basis this m was now in a
[19:40]very difficult predicament if I begin to go closer to Muhammad I
[19:46]will lose my status in qur they all respect me and now
[19:48]Abu jahel is saying how can you be getting closer to the
[19:53]to Muhammad he repeated the same things to Abu jahal you're calling
[19:56]him sorcerer you're calling him magician you're calling him poet but he's
[19:59]not so Abu jel became quiet then after a few moments Quran
[20:02]tells us by the way his story is found in then he
[20:09]looked and he said okay stick to magician I think that's the
[20:13]best and he did not believe in the Quran and he died
[20:19]a disbeliever this particular individual Quran now instead of guiding him is
[20:26]a source of what damnation for him because he was not willing
[20:29]to open up his heart and become an individual who Embraces the
[20:32]truth and that's why it's of the utmost importance that we allow
[20:37]the Quran to hit our hearts sometimes you need to say to
[20:40]the Quran you need to speak to it and say oh Quran
[20:45]strike me hit me allow me to be shaken sometimes we need
[20:47]that when we are reciting one or two ayat may be something
[20:52]that resembles with us and remember Imam one day in Shah Ramadan
[20:55]he was digging working in the field and someone came to him
[21:02]and it was Midday it was very hot someone came to him
[21:05]and said to him this midday you're working and it's very hot
[21:09]you know in Arabia don't worry it's much hotter than Virginia or
[21:12]anywhere else in the states arguably yes in Arabia when the heat
[21:17]hits or in Iraq or other places you'll see that people aren't
[21:20]a to be outside for a few hours IM was working midday
[21:25]fasting so the man said to him why don't you take a
[21:29]break why you working when you're fasting Imam stopped he put the
[21:32]shovel down looked at him and said the beauty of Allah speaking
[21:41]to me has made me forget this tiredness so the man said
[21:44]to him what do you mean the beauty he said when Allah
[21:49]says Allah is speaking to me I consider myself as one of
[21:55]the Believers that is sweet for me I find a matter of
[22:00]Pride that Allah is directly speaking to me oh you who believe
[22:03]therefore it's making me forget the fact that I am tired and
[22:08]it's hot because Allah and his grace and mercy has what has
[22:11]now spoken to me that's why my dear sisters and brothers for
[22:15]you and I to be able to develop a understanding of the
[22:19]Quran is of the utmost importance now tonight there are two approaches
[22:26]towards our relationship with the Quran one approach is the following I
[22:35]will recite it and I'll ask Allah when the time comes for
[22:38]ha Ya Allah please make me of those who are people of
[22:43]the Quran that's one approach something that you may have done in
[22:46]the past few years I'd like to invite you to change your
[22:48]approach I'd like to invite you to do something more this year
[22:54]than the previous years with regards to your relationship with the Quran
[22:59]I'd like to invite all M and M here including myself to
[23:02]devise what I call a aqp annual Quran plan a QP the
[23:15]annual Quran plan what is this there is one way of developing
[23:18]a relationship with something through the theory another is through practical commitments
[23:25]and a plan meaning what meaning every everything in life I could
[23:30]just ask Allah for example allow me to gain knowledge brilliant y
[23:35]allow me to have good friends great if you're not married please
[23:42]allow me to get married great but Allah waala says to you
[23:45]and I Allah says oh you who believe why is it that
[23:55]you say things and you don't do it it is great in
[23:58]the eyes of Allah it's part of hypocrisy by the way because
[24:02]I want something but I don't show the evidence that I actually
[24:06]want to implement it so how do I instate and make this
[24:09]aqp the annual Quran plan I can guarantee you sisters and brothers
[24:13]if you have this plan tonight if you make a commitment and
[24:19]you write it down it will work much much better than if
[24:23]you have the plan tomorrow it will M work much better if
[24:27]you have the plan next week and it's a shame for those
[24:32]who watching it next week yes in realization is tonight is the
[24:35]night because Allah is saying come I'm inviting you tonight is the
[24:38]night where what the Mal are descending it's the night that belongs
[24:41]to IM it's the night of the Quran that's why we need
[24:46]to begin the night with Quran and end the night with Quran
[24:49]and encapsulate the whole night with Quran but you ask me okay
[24:53]what do I need to do in this annual Quran plan what
[24:58]are the main elements of it now this is generic you could
[25:00]choose one of these and implement it in your life or all
[25:03]five or six that I'm about to mention of this particular plan
[25:08]that you can indeed tailor make for yourself the first element of
[25:12]the Quran plan for the year is vaccination and I'm not going
[25:20]to ask you and tell you to take another covid vaccine because
[25:22]there are clearly problems with that vaccination means what he says the
[25:43]vaccination to become stronger in Iman is to recite the Quran Allah
[25:52]subhana tala in the Holy Quran says Allah says those who believe
[26:00]in the Quran the first level is they must recite it and
[26:04]recite it correctly please understand this very important we many times in
[26:10]our lives have become habitual so I for example begin to recite
[26:15]the Quran in the way that I think is correct but sadly
[26:16]some of us recite quranic verses incorrectly or don't recite enough Imam
[26:23]says every day you should recite 50 ayat every every day at
[26:30]the very least if you can't less if you can't less now
[26:33]what is the most important meal of the day breakfast yes someone
[26:48]said sah no doubt today science says the most important meal of
[26:51]the day is breakfast because it gives you the energy and the
[26:53]fuel for the rest of the day however it's the most neglected
[26:57]meal of the day I think many people are in a rush
[26:59]they're leaving for work school college and they have something on the
[27:04]way or whatever right it's interesting your body needs fuel and energy
[27:09]as breakfast science says so that you can survive throughout the day
[27:11]your soul needs the Quran in the morning so it can survive
[27:14]the whole day imagine if every day before you start your normal
[27:21]activity what is the number one activity majority of the people do
[27:25]in this day and age when they wake up what is it
[27:28]phone straight to my Instagram account or watch the news I'm on
[27:35]the bed and I'm watching everything yes no problem although it has
[27:38]a problem but that's separate discussion one day we'll talk about social
[27:42]media but imagine that in the morning in addition to your breakfast
[27:45]you leave for yourself 5 10 minutes and you recite if you
[27:50]can 50 ayat or even less two pages of the Quran before
[27:52]you leave every day I guarantee you that kind of association with
[27:59]the Quran you will be blessed that day because your soul has
[28:02]been washed and nourished and filed and purified with the beautiful mesmerizing
[28:06]words of Allah subhana and this is highly recommended if I am
[28:10]not of those who have a habit to recite the Quran every
[28:15]day I must become IM has this amazing line he is narrated
[28:18]to have said if you're a youth and recite the Quran whomsoever
[28:25]is Young by the way young here doesn't mean only 15 20
[28:32]30 definition of a youth in many many of the literature in
[28:36]Islamic teachings is up to 40 so if you have passed 40
[28:44]sorry but there still hope in this regard IM says Quran mixes
[28:51]and infuses with your flesh and with your blood it becomes part
[28:58]of you Quran mixes with you so in this particular objective you
[29:04]and I must purify our souls and our houses the prophet of
[29:08]Islam peace be upon him and his family says because that that
[29:14]house will have lots of its inhabitants will be successful and it
[29:23]will illuminate the skies for the angels that house in which the
[29:28]Quran is recited regularly yes that's number one part of my plan
[29:31]tonight is I should ask Allah yaah Allah I'm going to make
[29:37]a commitment if you can't every day every other day but write
[29:40]it down and make a pledge and make a change in your
[29:44]life that's the whole point of Shah Ramadan Shah Ramadan is to
[29:47]be different not to do everything robotically the same year after year
[29:51]but in other words get closer that's the first of the plan
[29:57]the second very importantly is the following that many of us who
[30:00]are non- Arabs and by the way including Arabs when we come
[30:04]to the Quran most of the time we don't really understand some
[30:07]of the words of it today those who are experts in quranic
[30:13]Studies have given an indication that approximately 600 words of the Quran
[30:18]constitute about 80% of the Quran 600 words that are repeated so
[30:24]those of us who may not understand Arabic or even Arabs who
[30:29]don't understand quranic terminology begin the Journey of learning quranic Arabic meaning
[30:36]what yes there are translations some of the m m ask what
[30:39]is the best translation in English today there is a translation that
[30:43]is written by one of our Shia Brothers Brother Ali from he
[30:49]is originally I think from India and in my opinion that's the
[30:55]best translation to English that we have it's the Quran translation it's
[31:00]available on Amazon and available free on the website Al-Quran doino now
[31:05]translation is one thing but I need to begin the journey to
[31:09]understand the Quran in Arabic some people ask tonight or any other
[31:14]night shall I recite the Quran in Arabic or my own language
[31:16]definitely at least Arabic but Dua may be different Dua if you
[31:23]don't understand the Arabic you can recite it in your own language
[31:25]no problem but Quran in Allah says there is a purpose for
[31:35]the Quran being revealed in the Arabic language so I need to
[31:38]go on a journey to learn quranic Arabic words what do they
[31:41]mean make notes of them as I go along have a book
[31:46]that's just for the Quran and make these important words write them
[31:50]down write the meaning trust me it will change your life as
[31:55]you read the Quran in your life you come across these words
[31:57]you'll remember I made that note this means this this means this
[32:04]by referring to our books of tap and the indeed those who
[32:06]are experts in this particular field number three mashallah it's great to
[32:13]see as we progress the number of competitions and TV programs regarding
[32:19]the Quran there are mallah some amazing Quran competitions that are happening
[32:26]in different places yes in Iran in Iraq in number of other
[32:30]countries yes Sunni and sh they have these Quran memorization and Quran
[32:35]recitation the T and but I feel that in our communities the
[32:40]memorization of the Quran is left to the children it's only emphasized
[32:47]on the kids so the kids are taught in madrasa and in
[32:50]schools Muslim schools to memorize the 30th to memorize small suras but
[33:00]Elders somehow when we reach older age it's as if it's not
[33:03]for us anymore I don't need to memorize anymore why should I
[33:06]memorize I know enough I could recite that's enough forah I don't
[33:15]need to recite and memorize or for example or any other I
[33:22]don't need to and that's where unfortunately we are mistaken why because
[33:28]we are told in a narration from IM he says listen to
[33:43]this nice narration on the day of an individual sees a Surah
[33:49]of the Quran one of the suras they are Allah subhana T
[33:52]will make them like a being that you can see and talk
[33:57]to by the way all oural will be like this Allah says
[34:03]on the day of you'll see things manifested before you every deed
[34:06]you did will be like a a creation in front of you
[34:10]one of them is a Surah so the Surah will come IM
[34:15]says and will say to the individual you had memorized me but
[34:19]You' forgotten me if you had continued to remember me I would
[34:27]never leave you and I will help you but now I can't
[34:28]help you because you used to recite me this memorization of the
[34:36]chapters of the Quran is not only for the youngsters and those
[34:40]attending competitions it's for all of us adults young or old men
[34:46]or women we need to ensure that we constantly memorize and indeed
[34:50]have it as a family activity father and the mother M I
[34:54]don't have time well when you go to work you spend 40
[34:58]minutes 50 minutes listening to podcast no problem if it's a beneficial
[35:02]podcast but maybe dedicate some time of it to memorizing and to
[35:06]Subhan Allah today we have unbelievably brilliant apps and YouTube clips that
[35:10]help memorization back in the time it was the cassette who remembers
[35:13]the cassette you know that cassette or the videotape and you have
[35:19]to keep rewinding and rewinding and re now it's just playing we
[35:22]have YouTube now Clips where it keeps going again and again and
[35:25]again by itself as in it's designed like that to make you
[35:31]memorize certain ayat certain suras of the Quran that's the third area
[35:34]of the annual Quran plan so the first area of the greatest
[35:38]importance is what is for you and I to recite the second
[35:43]is for us to learn quranic Arabic the third is to memorize
[35:46]the fourth Quran is a world it has Sciences causes of Revelation
[35:54]abreg mechan and Med chap right and there are so many different
[36:00]fields to it for example there is the science in it or
[36:05]the trends of for example the stories the prophetic stories and the
[36:11]non-prophetic stories I need to develop a habit of studying quranic Sciences
[36:16]meaning what he said has a book which indeed this Bay highlights
[36:27]some of the key discussions about the Quran for example when was
[36:32]the Quran collected for example can we definitely say there is no
[36:37]tampering of the Quran do we believe in or not these things
[36:39]there are lectures on it but there are books on it available
[36:43]now in many different languages I need to be equipped if I
[36:46]want to be Quran I need to know about the Sciences of
[36:51]the Quran therefore I develop an interest and make a commitment tonight
[36:53]Ya Allah help me I want one two three if I don't
[36:57]know anything about how the Quran was collected or for example the
[37:01]seven letters the that the Quran was revealed on or for example
[37:04]the different areas of the Quran I need to make a pledge
[37:08]Ya Allah I'm going to work on this to improve my knowledge
[37:11]regarding the Quran famously says learn the book of Allah and seek
[37:21]knowledge of it it's the spring of the hearts it's the source
[37:33]of cleansing and purification on the chest that's the fourth and when
[37:42]it comes to the fifth importantly and very very critically and that's
[37:45]what and that is to understand the meanings many times when I
[37:55]recite Salah when I pray I recite suras in Salah no doubt
[37:59]Surah fa someone once said molana I was reading Salah I started
[38:04]Surah fa then I started but I got stuck because I would
[38:16]say then I kept saying so he was a re you know
[38:22]constantly so can I choose an I I decided then to choose
[38:27]a bit you know better a longer chapter so I said which
[38:29]one did you choose he said sometimes people have what people choose
[38:36]these chapters no problem but do you know the meaning the suras
[38:42]in the Quran like Surah fa when was the last time you
[38:46]read of it you listen to series of lectures about the interpretation
[38:48]of it when was the last time you understood all the chapters
[38:54]that you and I recite in the Quran in the Salah that's
[38:56]the first level I need to make a commitment that when it
[38:59]comes to my Salah I have an understanding of the quranic chapters
[39:02]that I recite in the Salah but also a commitment to go
[39:06]through Quran in whichever capacity I can and allow the meanings to
[39:14]implement and to impact me positively which means which means I know
[39:17]that those in the English language they tell me we are suffering
[39:20]because we don't have as many books of tap as those in
[39:26]Arabic and Farsi and perhaps in U that in English was still
[39:32]struggling but there are many who are now working on English commentaries
[39:35]and I can see everyday new set coming out so in a
[39:40]at the moment there is no much not much excuse and there
[39:43]are hundreds I mean lectures of specific of the Quran available on
[39:47]YouTube you choose Surah Bak you'll find who have given of it
[39:53]in English our you choose for example you choose there are many
[39:57]many of these lectures ailable make a plan and this sometimes involves
[40:00]a group of people meaning what if you get bored by yourself
[40:03]sometimes you know when I pick up the Quran some people say
[40:06]to me I feel bored because you know I don't I don't
[40:08]understand it and I feel a sense of Burden it's heavy on
[40:12]my shoulders perhaps what you and I need to do is establish
[40:14]quranic circles friends that come together every week once every month whatever
[40:20]is possible on WhatsApp even if it's not in person in Zoom
[40:25]one of the implementations of a Quran that plan that's annual is
[40:28]I make a plan that I will unravel the secrets and the
[40:33]meanings of the Quran in my life and I will begin to
[40:37]apply them as much as I possibly can and I indeed will
[40:39]have competitions sometimes it's good to have these competitions regarding knowledge in
[40:45]the Quran how amazing it is to have questions presented to the
[40:49]youngsters and the youth and the elders regarding what regarding quranic stories
[40:54]regarding some elements in the Quran to increase our knowledge and understanding
[40:58]and the final thing I'd like to say is that there is
[41:01]a method that some people have said to me it works I
[41:03]haven't tried it myself but there are those who say it's really
[41:07]good and that's known as Quran journaling it's available online you can
[41:11]f buy and access on websites different tools which is known as
[41:17]the way to journal the Quran journal the Quran means what means
[41:21]you break it down verse by verse or Surah by Surah and
[41:27]you actually highlight the Surah after you for example place it or
[41:30]print it not the actual book don't highlight it in the actual
[41:33]book but you print it or you write it yourself in a
[41:38]piece of paper or in a book and you highlight the words
[41:40]and then you draw things around it and you make like diagrams
[41:47]around these words so then people and you could see videos on
[41:50]YouTube on how people have done Quran journaling these Quran journaling is
[41:54]also a very useful tool it may help you to pick picture
[41:59]and to somehow digest and simplify these quranic Concepts one by one
[42:06]it creates something which is creative for you and I to develop
[42:09]and to enhance our connection with the immaculate book of Allah my
[42:14]dear sisters and brothers do not take this lightly make a commitment
[42:17]inshalla so that we are known asran a beautiful narration that we
[42:24]must end with is from Muhammed those who carry the Quran but
[42:42]not carry it like inah there are two types of people who
[42:51]are carriers there's the carrier of something that has no idea what's
[42:57]in it just carries it and there is someone who is a
[43:01]carrier who is ensuring that it is in their hearts and in
[43:04]their lives the prophet says those who carry the Quran and understand
[43:07]it are the best of the people of Jenna because they have
[43:12]this and that in itself requires its own discussion may Allah waala
[43:20]accept your and make us of allow us to plan for it
[43:22]tonight inshallah allow us to devise this annual Quran plan for each
[43:29]and every one of us as families individually as friends and ensures
[43:32]that we are not of those that the profit on the day
[43:37]of complains and says that we must not be of those who
[43:45]are included in the group of people that the prophet says to
[43:50]Allah that this community of mine deserted the m
