[0:02]bismillah al Rahman al Rahim Oh salat wa salam o allah say
[0:07]the mousseline Habib Allah Allah Ameen I will consume in most of
[0:10]our Muhammad while elevated by a beam of the Hadean belonging to
[0:16]the himmatwala add an image bohemian at an Italian Dean pollo a
[0:20]la villita beat karim allah subhanaw taala states in the chapter of
[0:25]Annisa chapter 4 verse 1 of 3 he says in the salata
[0:31]Kanekalon mini- and Makuta allah subhanaw taala says that surely prayer is
[0:36]a written book upon the believers so de la laguna leaned amenable
[0:40]ah assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakato today insha'Allah our goal is
[0:49]to talk about the topic of time and I entitled this lecture
[0:53]I'm telling how you spend your time and I'll tell you who
[1:00]you are so something that we all need we all seem to
[1:03]be always running out of time right no matter how many hours
[1:07]there are in the day it's just never enough and especially you
[1:11]know in these days unfortunately even though many of us used to
[1:16]ask for time used to ask for more time to be able
[1:21]to spend with our family to be able to spend with friends
[1:24]to be able to spend studying or learning something new or developing
[1:29]a specific skill it unfortunately we find ourselves bored tooling our thumbs
[1:37]anxious frustrated unable to cope with the current situation of the coronavirus
[1:41]right now there are some of us who have been able to
[1:48]take advantage of this time some of us who have been extremely
[1:52]successful at scheduling our time - you know maybe sign up for
[2:01]courses or to catch up on their homework or catch up on
[2:04]their sleep in some cases right it's important for us to understand
[2:11]how it is especially in these days how it is that we
[2:14]can invest our time properly so that we can ensure that our
[2:19]time is a reflection of our goals now in order to do
[2:22]so we'll be addressing the topic from a logical standpoint an academic
[2:27]standpoint as well as from an Islamic standpoint so let's get started
[2:36]so logically speaking we know that time was given to us by
[2:40]by our Creator right so we know this even though some people
[2:42]tell you while time is a virtual concept that is man-made no
[2:49]in reality allah subhanaw taala created the universe and when he created
[2:55]the universe he created it at a specific what we would call
[3:01]the zero point which is when the time of the universe began
[3:04]okay within the realm of time for us how we perceive time
[3:11]is always from the start from that starting point right and why
[3:14]we count billions of years and even a loss of honor to
[3:19]honor giving us a beginning to up to our life and an
[3:23]end to our life gives us a time span for living known
[3:25]as the lifespan right now the World Health Organization reports that the
[3:32]average human life span is about 70 to 72 years old so
[3:37]what I want to do is I want to take that number
[3:41]70 all right so let's see how our day is flay most
[3:43]of us and according to the studies on average people sleep eight
[3:48]hours a day eight hours a day is equivalent to 33 percent
[3:55]of that 70 years so that's that's equal to 23 years of
[3:58]sleep most of us we work or go to school for about
[4:03]8 hours 7 to 8 hours let's say with homework to 8
[4:10]hours if we're studying that again is another 33% of the average
[4:14]human life span which is another 23 years so so far I've
[4:20]spent 66 percent of my life span either sleeping or working between
[4:25]those two you're going to ask well what time do I have
[4:28]left to live to really live and and and enjoy myself and
[4:34]come closer to Allah well I hate to break it to you
[4:39]and the personal time that you have I'm out of your entire
[4:42]human lifespan which is 70 years old and you have another 33%
[4:46]left or a little over right 33.3% which again is another 23
[4:54]years so you're telling me Shaffer method out of my entire lifespan
[4:58]of 70 years on average that 33 the 23 years is going
[5:06]to go towards my sleep and 23 years is going to go
[5:09]towards my work and 23 years only is the time where I
[5:14]actually have to do something with my life that I enjoy that
[5:17]you know that may include spirituality or family time all right well
[5:22]I hate to break it to you let's break it down let's
[5:24]look at our personal time right that that 33 percent or the
[5:33]remaining 23 years let's say for example we give time to worshiping
[5:37]a loss of Honiton all right and let's split the 23 years
[5:45]8 years let's say I give to allah subhanaw taala and worship
[5:48]that's 11 percent of my life span and to family let's say
[5:51]another 8 years i give them right that's enough that's 11 percent
[5:58]8 years of my life only let's say I give 4 years
[6:03]to learning and 4 years to leisure that's 5.5 percent of my
[6:06]life to learning and 5.5 percent of my life to leisure this
[6:09]really puts stuff into perspective for me because now I realize that
[6:14]you know what maybe I'm sleeping too much now I know some
[6:17]of you will say to me Jeff NASA sleep is important you
[6:23]know studies have shown studies in neuropsychology have shown the importance of
[6:29]sleep yes but they've also shown that sleep length differs according to
[6:34]your age and according to your need right so I might need
[6:38]let's say 5 hours function productively someone else might need six and
[6:44]someone else might need eight a teenager might need 10 to 12
[6:47]hours of sleep or an adolescent because their brain is still developing
[6:52]so if your child is over sleeping right and they're of adolescent
[6:56]age or of teenage of their in their teenage years don't feel
[6:59]bad and don't make them guilty about it just make sure they
[7:04]don't miss out on their slow down right make sure they get
[7:07]to bed early so this is the reality then that we're facing
[7:13]now let's get a reality check here the reality is that this
[7:16]life span that a lot of how natal our Creator has given
[7:22]us has given us is truly a gift it's a gift and
[7:26]a blessing why because we have realized existence our own existence in
[7:34]this realm of this universe right and that has afforded us the
[7:38]ability to get to know allah subhanaw taala and realize his magnificence
[7:43]and his power and his capabilities and all of the wondrous and
[7:48]amazing things that are in this world are a true testament to
[7:57]his greatness and they make me want to get to know him
[7:59]even more and to be thankful and to show gratitude as we
[8:05]mentioned before for all the gifts that he has afforded me in
[8:08]this world if at the very least at the very least forgiving
[8:12]me existence that surely my purpose would be to thank him for
[8:15]it is such a great gift for him to give me for
[8:18]him to deem me worthy of existence so then my lifespan must
[8:21]include time to thank him and to show gratitude for that now
[8:27]we did say that I'm going to dedicate all of my faculties
[8:30]as a result everything that he's afforded me to thank him to
[8:35]show him gratitude so logically speaking even though you know the breakdown
[8:40]of the years is pretty scary right and it's a true wake-up
[8:43]call but if I logically speaking dedicate myself and everything that I
[8:48]do whether it's my work whether it's my sleep whether it's my
[8:53]a personal time whether it's with my family or learning or worshipping
[9:02]allah subhanaw taala that all of that time all of it I
[9:05]getting into a lot of panna cotta now all of a sudden
[9:11]I've changed the equation right I've made a formula that works for
[9:15]success right for me to be able to achieve the goals that
[9:21]I want and the greatest goal is to dedicate oneself to allah
[9:26]subhanaw taala and doing that with every single moment is really a
[9:31]decision that we make right so if before I sleep I say
[9:36]I dedicate my sleep to becoming stronger so that I can better
[9:39]worship my Lord when I wake up then now I've dedicated my
[9:44]sleep to my Creator right so even though it seems that sleep
[9:47]may be a waste of time when it really isn't because a
[9:52]lot of important body functions occur at that time a lot of
[9:57]maintenance occurs according to science to the brain to to the all
[10:00]of the human organs everything during that time of sleep it's a
[10:07]time of rejuvenation right it's a time in which your body is
[10:10]able to recuperate and recharge itself for the upcoming day just like
[10:14]you recharge the battery on your phone now so what we're saying
[10:20]then is what we really need to do is use our time
[10:24]wisely because we know that God gave us a specific life span
[10:27]and that that life span as we know because our existence is
[10:30]with purpose because he's an all purpose for creator then that must
[10:35]be used every single moment must be for the purpose then of
[10:39]pleasing him right so I spent it in I'm going to spend
[10:44]that time in showing gratitude to Allah won't you spend that time
[10:48]in seeking to know Allah better I'm going to spend that time
[10:53]in learning more about myself right because if I know myself I
[10:58]know through contemplating about myself I was able to realize the reality
[11:01]of Allah's existence so spending more time in contemplation logically is something
[11:05]that I should do spending time and also knowing allows creation spending
[11:09]time with others whether it's my parents and showing them appreciation because
[11:13]that's a show of appreciation that's a lot for allah subhanaw taala
[11:17]as well whether it's other creations whether there's people a my people
[11:20]that I know in my relatives and my family as well as
[11:26]acquaintances and friends and companions and those who I don't know trying
[11:28]to get to know new people so that I show a la
[11:33]soprano Dada how much I appreciate this blessing of life and this
[11:35]blessing of all those who are around me also I spent time
[11:40]learning knowledge right that just makes sense because that's going to be
[11:44]my my spiritual sustenance right so my knowledge gaining has to be
[11:49]obviously for two things right for worldly gain and as well as
[11:51]for spiritual gain when I say spiritual gain that's obvious right because
[11:55]if I learn information that's going to help me strengthen my spiritual
[11:59]sustenance then I'm going to be able to increase my connection with
[12:03]Allah and as a result I'm going to increase my iman and
[12:06]as a result I'm able to make better decisions as for my
[12:11]physical sustenance I know that I have to go to school to
[12:12]study to be a doctor or a lawyer or an engineer right
[12:16]or to if I am a professional then I'm going to increase
[12:21]my skill set so that I make sure that you know I'm
[12:25]I'm still a viable member of the working force and that way
[12:29]whatever wealth I get I can use it to put food on
[12:32]my table right I can use it to start a family I
[12:35]can use it to give charity I can use it to help
[12:39]my parents and my family members and and those who are impoverished
[12:42]in the community and I can use it to sponsor orphans and
[12:48]on that note I highly encourage you to sponsor orphans either from
[12:53]your local orphan organization or the orphan organization that's run by your
[13:01]Islamic Center or personally I'm involved with an organization called that I
[13:04]earn Social Care Foundation I'm gonna give them a plug for the
[13:07]orphans you know I'm willing to do anything a nine Social Care
[13:11]Foundation takes care of this and sponsors over 61,000 orphans in Iraq
[13:16]many of them are in need please check them out wherever you
[13:20]are or they're here in the UK or whether you're in Canada
[13:22]or in the United States so we've come then to the logical
[13:28]necessity that we have to use our time wisely and at that
[13:30]time is split it split up into two time for sustenance physically
[13:36]and time for sustenance spiritually right now let's see what the academics
[13:43]say I'm specifically going to look at a man by the name
[13:45]of Brian Tracy it has a book called master your time master
[13:49]your life is a very good book I highly recommend it and
[13:52]what he does is he breaks time or our time let's say
[13:57]into ten different types of time he says well the first type
[14:01]of time you need is called strategic planning time he says that
[14:07]in strategic planning time you need to 1 write down 10 goals
[14:12]for your next 12 months ok - he says select one goal
[14:17]that has the greatest impact on your life and 3 he says
[14:20]write to plan to achieve that goal this is your strategic plan
[14:24]right write down the 10 goals for the next year select the
[14:27]one goal that has the its most impactful upon your life write
[14:30]a plan to achieve that goal number two he says the second
[14:36]type of time he calls productive time he says in this time
[14:42]we need to make a daily list of tasks for the next
[14:44]day so make it the night before he says secondly make sure
[14:49]that you prioritize those tasks right so prioritize them according to importance
[14:53]and then on the day that your the next day when you're
[14:59]going to be working on those tasks make sure that you start
[15:02]with those that you have prioritized and make sure that your distraction-free
[15:07]okay so don't use your phone don't use you know electronic devices
[15:14]don't check your social media the third type of timing he mentions
[15:18]is he calls it income improvement time he says identify the one
[15:22]skill that you have that if improved would make you a success
[15:26]that's number one he says to set a goal to develop that
[15:32]skill three he says set 10 hours aside per week minimum to
[15:38]develop that skill so for income improvement time then three things identify
[15:45]the one skill that if you improve it it's going to make
[15:51]you more successful set a goal to develop that skill set a
[15:54]minimum of 10 hours per week to develop that skill the fourth
[15:59]type of time that he mentions is called spare time he says
[16:03]use that time to acquire new skills number one number two he
[16:09]saw it he says resolved to be of the 20% the top
[16:11]20% in your field and see he says find out what the
[16:16]highest earners in your field do and make sure you set a
[16:18]plan to do it the fourth type of the fifth type of
[16:23]time that he speaks of is work time he says work all
[16:28]of your work time meaning don't be distracted don't chitchat don't go
[16:35]to the water fountain / verbally speaking don't you know chat on
[16:39]your on your social media while you're working make sure that when
[16:42]you're there you're present 100% focus on what you're doing number one
[16:49]he says to turn off any distractions at work right don't answer
[16:52]phone calls don't unless they're it's an emergency and three he says
[16:57]plan your meetings with agendas and with minutes to avoid time wasting
[17:01]to stay on topic the sixth type of time that he mentions
[17:07]he calls creative time he says in this time there are three
[17:10]things we should do one we should mentally picture our life in
[17:13]its ideal form how we see it so visualize how your life
[17:21]should be ideally in your eyes he says have their ideas just
[17:25]take that opportunity that time that creative time to just think about
[17:32]new ideas to contemplate ideas to become more spiritual ideas to be
[17:38]more successful at work ideas to improve your relationships with your with
[17:42]your friends and with your family ideas to solve human needs for
[17:51]example right and he says thirdly make sure that you are in
[17:53]a state of solitude to contemplate give yourself that solitude that silence
[17:58]that time during the day every day where let's say you spend
[18:07]half an hour or an hour but that time you've set aside
[18:09]to make sure that you are in solitude just for contemplation time
[18:16]number seven he calls problem-solving and decision-making time he says number one
[18:23]writes your biggest problem or challenge number two he says write write
[18:28]it in the form of a question okay he says so whatever
[18:33]your biggest problem or challenge is once you identify it what you
[18:36]want to write is the question is well how do I solve
[18:40]it what is the solution to this challenge or this problem then
[18:43]he says the last thing you should do is brainstorm solution and
[18:46]make sure that you ask others for help so that you use
[18:51]the collective because in problem-solving using the collective mind is a lot
[18:59]better than thinking just by yourself but always start by thinking by
[19:04]yourself and then ask others as well the eighth type of time
[19:08]that he mentions he calls it people and family time he says
[19:12]number one identified the most important people in your life he says
[19:17]what could you do to say sorry what could you do or
[19:22]say to make them feel better and happier in their lives and
[19:25]he says set a goal to say or do something every single
[19:32]day right to make them feel better and to make them have
[19:35]a better day and to help them improve their life the ninth
[19:40]type of time he mentions is relaxation time he says set a
[19:45]goal that you schedule your relaxation time ahead of time he says
[19:49]make sure that this relaxation time has absolutely no work scheduled in
[19:54]it whatsoever not even checking your emails at all right shut out
[19:58]the entire world okay and focus on relaxation time because studies have
[20:01]shown that this is an important way to rejuvenate your creativity to
[20:06]give you greater energy it's basically a waking form of recharging your
[20:11]battery because we waste energy or we expend energy in thinking we
[20:15]expend energy in working physically and we expend energy emotionally as well
[20:21]studies have shown and he says in order to do this book
[20:27]your holidays early like a year in advance and that way you'll
[20:31]have no choice but to actually follow through with your vacation time
[20:38]and not cancel and cancel cancel them and do not cancel them
[20:40]because of the fact that you will have prepaid for everything he
[20:46]says the night the 10th type of time that he that he
[20:48]mentions is quiet time is a scheduled time for solitude for silence
[20:55]what this is going to do is is this going to help
[21:00]you shut everything out let's say it's a half hour a day
[21:04]our a day or even 15 minutes a day or 10 minutes
[21:08]three times a day for example he says slow down slow down
[21:15]your day slow down your breathing slow down your thinking inside us
[21:19]it says and if you do that what that's going to do
[21:24]is going to help you increase your awareness you're going to be
[21:27]more aware of what's around you you're going to be more attune
[21:32]with your environment so focus on for example listening to the wind
[21:36]or if you're next to a body of water to you know
[21:41]the water itself and he specifically mentions water because he says that
[21:46]humans have a natural affinity to water Leon and he says meditate
[21:49]make sure you set time aside for you to meditate so I
[21:56]found this book a book that's a good a good read a
[21:58]quick read it's very practical and I highly advise you to take
[22:05]a look at it so this is the academic portion okay so
[22:09]notice that the academics then and and this man he he trains
[22:15]companies and corporations all over the world he's very well known and
[22:19]you know I don't get anything for for talking about his book
[22:22]but it was a book that I benefited from I read it
[22:27]recently inshallah you'll benefit benefit from it too but it gives you
[22:30]an idea of what it is that modern science has come to
[22:36]because what he does is he brings all of the studies and
[22:41]all of the books that he's he's read and he he puts
[22:42]it all in a nice package for us so that we benefit
[22:47]from different resources finally what I want to talk about then is
[22:51]the Islamic perspective we covered the logical perspective the academic perspective now
[22:55]let's look at the academic perspective now we started off with the
[23:00]chapter of Annisa verse 103 and in that verse allah subhanaw taala
[23:04]says in the silastic an italian mini- and ma futa that prayer
[23:08]surely is a written book upon the believers now let's go back
[23:13]to those original figures right the original figures were if you recall
[23:16]out of the 17 year spam we have 23 years which is
[23:25]33% sleep we have 23 years which is 33% in work time
[23:27]and then we have the remaining the remaining 33% 33.3 in each
[23:34]case specifically dedicated to ourselves we broke that down logically speaking in
[23:42]that 23 years into eight years for God eight years for I
[23:47]think it was before it was it for for learning right let
[23:52]me see here yeah four years exact of ATR sorry for family
[23:56]for years for learning and for years for leisure now you can
[24:01]flip-flop and change them around let's see what Islam tells us it's
[24:04]not tells us look the most important priority for you okay is
[24:07]to realize the importance of time and allah subhanaw taala he commands
[24:12]us in the holy quran he says a famous orator at osaka
[24:15]he says make sure that you pray and that you give us
[24:23]okay so he also says when of course we can't speak about
[24:27]time without mentioning the chapter of the last war allah subhanaw taala
[24:29]says while us in an incident efficacy Allah swears by time he
[24:35]says surely man is in a state of loss and we feel
[24:38]it right we're losing time with every breath that we take Imam
[24:42]Ali said I'm a la la he has a saying in which
[24:47]he says that with every breath man takes he is one breath
[24:50]closer to death right it's not morbid at all if you think
[24:56]about it because it makes us think of the end game right
[24:58]at the end result their reward in the hereafter because we have
[25:02]to be of those who and are those who have for sure
[25:07]right during our day and we're fasting and we're praying and hamdullah
[25:10]as in the chapter of baccarat verses 45 and 46 in which
[25:17]allah subhanaw taala tells us to seek refuge in patients which is
[25:20]fasting and prayer surely it's tough to do except for those who
[25:23]are who have not consciousness for sure and that God consciousness is
[25:28]achieved by those who always have this mentality this state of mind
[25:34]which is Aladeen ever known and known when a poor appeal and
[25:36]no Malaya Rajan those are the ones that believe that they will
[25:40]meet their Lord and that you he they shall return right so
[25:42]what does that mean that means that you're always in a state
[25:44]of vigilance right you're always vigilant about how you're spending your time
[25:51]okay making sure that every decision in Islam that you make within
[25:55]this time is not a decision that causes loss but rather causes
[25:58]a game and this is why it's important to look at the
[26:00]chapter of last many of us you know we don't realize the
[26:05]value of this of this chapter and Allah is telling us butcher
[26:08]you're in a state of loss you're losing time time is limited
[26:14]okay so what does he say he says I swear by time
[26:17]well ask in an incentive fee of course surely man is in
[26:21]a state of loss inland ladina except for those this is the
[26:24]part that I want to the formula I don't want to be
[26:26]of those who have lost time right I don't want to be
[26:30]of those who as in the chapter of an oven let me
[26:34]know oh the man who has passed away or the individual has
[26:37]passed away and asks his Lord for more time he says rob
[26:45]you only I'm sorry female rekt oh allah let me return so
[26:48]that i may do good give me a second chance right he
[26:54]says hello ha no your time is up right pens and pencils
[26:58]down right finito you're done right Allah subhana Allah says look you
[27:05]have limited time so don't realize that you only have if you're
[27:09]sleeping eight hours out of the day right for a 70 year
[27:11]lifespan then literally that's 23 years of your life dawn 33.3% right
[27:20]how are you going to spend the rest of it how are
[27:22]you gonna spend the rest of it right and this is what
[27:24]a lot of Conner talent wants me to do he says look
[27:28]it says inlet ladina Avenue except for those who believe so first
[27:31]I have to focus on proving a lot existence and that proof
[27:35]is going to consume me right it's going to consume my very
[27:41]being because I realize a lot importance to me I dedicate every
[27:43]single part of me to allah subhanaw taala my time G my
[27:49]spirituality my emotions everything goes towards pleasing allah subhanaw taala and then
[27:54]what what that's going to do is that's going to mat be
[27:56]manifested so my inside feelings of spirituality and closeness to Allah will
[28:00]automatically be manifested intellectually speaking and rationally speaking into what into what
[28:08]I mean oh sorry hot into doing good deeds during that time
[28:11]that I the belief has to because we said we said al-iman
[28:19]ly hakuna Allah be a melon right that um we said that
[28:21]the Prophet says an Islam after our own when a mano a
[28:28]mano a problem on he says that if you're a Muslim you
[28:32]say to Allah Allah Allah you submit and say that a lot
[28:37]is is your Creator that there is no other God but he
[28:40]and that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is His Messenger and um
[28:50]what happens after that I want to elevate myself to the level
[28:58]of a model of Iman Iman Iman she right that belief in
[29:01]allah subhanaw taala and i manifest it in my actions right and
[29:05]when i manifested in my actions i manifest it within the realm
[29:11]of the lifespan but i had within the remaining time that I
[29:15]have of my life solanum Hamid one so allah subhanaw taala says
[29:23]look first and foremost you have to realize that you have to
[29:26]do your prayers why because in the salat Atena and if I
[29:31]will move that Allah says Allah commands us to pray then he
[29:33]tells us the reason for bring a lot wouldn't promise you know
[29:36]do something without telling us the reason especially something as important as
[29:39]prayer so he says listen pray and I want you to make
[29:45]sure that you understand that prayer is a written book for those
[29:47]who consider themselves to be believers those who believe in me prioritize
[29:53]their prayer meaning 1 meaning that this is time that you've set
[29:58]literally in stone that is unshakeable uh erasable this is time that
[30:03]is a meeting between me and my lord 1 remember how Brian
[30:08]Tracy said set time for meetings make sure that they're scheduled at
[30:11]specific times ensure that you take meaning minutes and that you set
[30:15]an agenda well allah subhanaw taala does that already for us right
[30:19]he tells us that the times for Salah specifically are and the
[30:25]do Lukesh MC well that's at the lane or prominent fashion okay
[30:30]and he tells us in the Quran effective economy Judah so he
[30:36]does is there are three times for you to prayer to pray
[30:38]you have five prayers but you have three times of the day
[30:44]to pray at Zenith at Megara and at fetchin so this is
[30:46]according to the holy quran so based on this man my day
[30:51]is already split up into thirds right I have my day after
[30:53]I wake up I pray my morning prayer right now I have
[30:58]the first third of the day up until Zenith which is when
[31:02]the Sun is in the highest point of the sky as soon
[31:04]as it moves out a little that's time for my boring-ass of
[31:07]Prayer so when I start off my day I start off my
[31:13]day focused on Allah soprano tada reminding myself of a loss of
[31:15]Hanukkah and I know Allah doesn't burden us with more than we
[31:17]can handle so he only gives us two records doesn't make it
[31:20]heavy for us in the middle of the day however he gives
[31:23]us four and four four four four and four for us or
[31:28]why because he knows that we're busy with work it's in the
[31:32]middle of the day remember eight hours of the day were work
[31:33]and those are the morning that to noon and afternoon hours right
[31:40]in those eight hours we're taking at you know a hundred thousand
[31:43]rpm trying to get things done especially if we're focused on our
[31:49]on our studies and and focused hard on achieving our goals at
[31:52]work so he says listen you need to you need more time
[31:56]to be able to focus on me so I'm going to give
[31:57]you more like I ought to be able to do so and
[31:59]he tells us that we should in half of Alice allotted most
[32:03]all we have to make sure that we pay special attention to
[32:06]that time of the and and and a soft prayer why because
[32:13]it's the busiest time of the day and that's the time where
[32:15]we're most heedless of allah subhanaw taala because we're focused more on
[32:19]materialistic in the third time of the day then so that's the
[32:25]first third the second third goes from lower all the way to
[32:27]the hoarder nasser all the way to Muhammad and Isha that's the
[32:33]second third of the day right the third third of the day
[32:35]is going to be from that time from Madrid and Asia all
[32:40]the way again to fetch it so that's the so far we
[32:45]have three thirds right specifically thirds now you're going to say to
[32:48]me well how am I going to be able to dedicate that
[32:50]time towards allah subhana to other one i have worked a lot
[32:54]spano data again doesn't burden us with more than we can handle
[32:56]he says look if you do your fur up you do your
[33:01]obligations and you do it what then what's going to happen is
[33:08]you're going to be able to transcend to a lot if you
[33:10]have that kosher we have so many iterations right prophet muhammad sallallahu
[33:15]alayhi wa sallam he says he says lelache open and let eat
[33:19]at home how about them Laura I'm Anika - Sam Hartwell oh
[33:26]he says if it wasn't for the Satan's that circumambulate around the
[33:29]heart of love Adam meaning mankind he would be able to see
[33:33]the other realms beyond the round that he is in Adam and
[33:39]malakut the world of men apart which means that even through our
[33:44]4rf we can reach very high levels in another narration in which
[33:52]the prophet sallallaahu either seven is reported to have said their work
[33:56]enough a heart that you know the soul itself it has you
[33:59]know it has moves its bar on wah-wah-wah meaning that sometimes it
[34:06]feels further it's it's Iman is a little weaker sometimes it's in
[34:12]man is stronger he says when the iman is weaker then surah
[34:15]are enough just your obligations and when Iman is stronger no I
[34:22]think a benefit do the extra recommended things come on that allah
[34:25]subhanaw taala wants you to do okay so then so far we
[34:30]split our they already Islam and split our day for us into
[34:33]thirds now within those thirds remember our life is split up into
[34:42]one 33.3% sleep 33.3% work right and study 33.3% of personal time
[34:46]which we dedicate to you know and those things that we mentioned
[34:49]so that means then notice how a las put it up for
[34:54]us to in thirds right so I can achieve if I can
[34:59]achieve things in those thirds then literally I will have lived a
[35:02]balanced life now the first and most important thing that I need
[35:07]to achieve is and those daily prayers maintain them okay number one
[35:10]number two we also know that lots of Connor Tejada tells us
[35:16]that and we need to spend time in to double in understanding
[35:18]the Holy Quran Allah says FLI to the banana I love alumina
[35:24]father do they not take the time to understand the Holy Quran
[35:26]or are there locks on their hearts in this month of Ramadan
[35:29]we are reminded of the importance of Allah for many of us
[35:32]around the world are spending our time focusing on trying to finish
[35:35]an entire recitation of the holy flan perhaps the entire year we
[35:40]don't finish an entire recitation but in the month of Ramadan somehow
[35:43]because the seconds of course aren't changed as Prophet Muhammad says we
[35:46]are able to do so and those of us who aren't able
[35:51]to do so focus on improving their recitation focus on all of
[35:54]us of course should focus on improving our understanding of the Holy
[35:58]Quran if I can't finish reciting the Holy Quran then you know
[36:02]it's more important for me to understand the Holy Quran in its
[36:06]verses so whatever I do recite it's important for me to understand
[36:08]alright so focus on you know joining HFC or group joining a
[36:15]lecture that has stuffs here you know let's say following a group
[36:18]I don't know on on one of the social media groups that
[36:24]actually has a daily ayah daily Quran or nearly hadith from Nanjing
[36:28]Baraka for example or another hadith by a debate you know an
[36:32]Islamic law for example that's being pushed out that way you're always
[36:37]in a state of being educated throughout the day okay all right
[36:41]so so far our days split into thirds how should we spend
[36:45]that time right Allah among honey said a Malayalee he says look
[36:52]he says your days should be split into three okay walked only
[36:55]a big time for your Lord walked only a lake time for
[37:00]your family what was early enough sick and time for yourself notice
[37:04]logically we were also able to split our day that way as
[37:11]well right time for work time for your for a loss of
[37:13]Hamilton and time for yourself except we said time for yourself includes
[37:17]time for Allah because we didn't look at we we counted sleep
[37:22]separately direct because we said eight hours of sleep we notice in
[37:27]the holy quran allah subhanaw taala describes the entire time as a
[37:31]body of time that that time should be spent according to the
[37:36]chapter of vana chapter 20 verse 130 allah subhanaw taala says it
[37:40]beautifully he says what's up behind the blueish MC up level rubi
[37:43]how i mean lately for some water often know how a lot
[37:47]of paradises listen you should always be in a state of exaltation
[37:50]so always remember Allah subhana Tana don't ascribe a partner to Allah
[37:55]subhana Allah before sunrise before sunset and in the middle of the
[37:59]night and the ends of the day so every single moment should
[38:04]be in remembrance of Allah that way my entire waking time which
[38:07]is 23 years plus another 23 years so if we don't count
[38:14]the 23 years of sleep and we count just the 46 years
[38:20]of being awake right that time is fully dedicated towards Allah span
[38:25]table now we know that allah subhanaw taala also wants us step
[38:30]above market to pray salat lane to spend time reciting Quran in
[38:34]the middle of the night for Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu value Sarah used
[38:38]to spend his time in tahajud and praying salat zlil praying the
[38:41]night prayer and tahajud meaning recitation of the holy quran we mentioned
[38:45]a narration where one of the wives of the prophet saw him
[38:52]one day or was looking for him he wasn't in her bed
[38:53]she goes out looking for him only to find him in prostration
[38:59]you know at the at the base of their bed crying and
[39:01]worshiping Allah she asked him why he says should I not thank
[39:09]my lord so that means that since the Prophet is an example
[39:11]for us as well as a debate as well as our Imams
[39:16]who also did this during the night then I should also add
[39:19]a Jaffa and Jambi so many iterations that tell us that we
[39:24]should not take the full night of sleep that we should be
[39:29]of those who take the opportunity that in the third third of
[39:33]the night which is the best time to do it to try
[39:36]to get up so sleep early right so that you wake up
[39:38]before fedja so we can pray salat al or recite Quran if
[39:43]we're unable to then at least before we sleep we have clear
[39:46]narrations and in Caffey where imam and jack for assad Oksana Malaya
[39:51]lay he says even if you're a businessman the least that you
[39:53]can do if you're really busy in your life is make sure
[39:57]that you don't sleep or end that day before reciting at least
[40:00]ten verses of the Holy Father and Islam focus is greatly on
[40:09]improving each day right that today should not be equal to the
[40:12]day after it otherwise we will have cheated ourselves it states in
[40:18]the narration okay it encourages us to improve and increase the number
[40:23]of verses that we recite and understand in the Holy Quran so
[40:27]if i recite let's say you know i don't know 50 verses
[40:33]today okay or 10 verses today tomorrow I should recite 11 the
[40:36]day after I should recite 12 right if today I recited the
[40:38]10 and I understood the tank tomorrow I'll work on a new
[40:44]verse to understand you see so Islam is all about building on
[40:47]that time and focusing that time around a loss of Hanoi data
[40:53]first and foremost it's love doesn't say stay on your Sajjad and
[40:57]don't work because we believe that Allah may know a bada right
[41:00]it's reported that our Imam said Allah Manu a bada that work
[41:07]is a form of worship how's the worship if I dedicate as
[41:10]we did logically my work to Allah to pleasing Allah to feeding
[41:17]my kids to opening up a you know a house for my
[41:19]family right to helping my relatives and my near of kin to
[41:25]be to having better oven while attain allah subhanaw taala says in
[41:29]the chapter of el Baca he says mobile valid any asana and
[41:35]verse 83 he also says that we should give to those who
[41:36]are of the poor BA our relatives Eliot Amma the orphans when
[41:42]masakeen and those who are poor and he says make sure that
[41:44]you get to know people right yeah you're not enough enough now
[41:49]from induction juanfe but you are not sure when oka by Lolita
[41:52]article in The Chronicle mandala at palaces in the chapter for Jamaat
[41:56]and he says look o people we created you as male and
[42:01]female we made you nations and tribes so that you get to
[42:03]know each other surely the best of you are those who are
[42:06]greatest in piety so I have to work on my piety but
[42:08]my piety can only be achieved not theoretically but practically that once
[42:12]I gain this information of a Las existence I believe I must
[42:17]dedicate myself and all my faculties to Allah that I spend my
[42:21]day in my time in what an ominous I ll Adina Amma
[42:25]know why I'm here oh sorry Allah says also in the chapter
[42:33]of a baccarat and verse 83 he says woe kulilin nasi Hosanna
[42:37]the least that we can do is to say righteous words to
[42:40]people remember what did Brian Tracy say he said make sure you
[42:44]at least once a day say something nice to a relative you
[42:50]see or on from 1,400 years ago we didn't have to go
[42:55]and look at studies and you know what the academics discovered to
[42:59]know and to understand what it is that a loss of an
[43:04]italic expects of us and what logically we believe is true Islam
[43:08]and the Holy Quran a little bit truly give us a holistic
[43:12]guide as to how to spend our time during the day with
[43:20]that I'd like to ask a lot of Hamilton to afford us
[43:25]the time so that we can spend it in tweezing him whether
[43:28]it's our sleep whether it's our work or whether it's our our
[43:34]time with him or whether it's you know in getting to know
[43:39]his creations or appreciating what he's created or whether it's in our
[43:44]acts of kindness or benevolence in trying to emulate allah subhanaw taala
[43:49]that every single breathing moment becomes exactly as every single breathing moment
[43:55]is in this month that and faster confettis beyond that beyond this
[43:58]month that we establish the habits in this month that how we
[44:02]spend our time is optimally or optimal optimized for what Allah wants
[44:11]me to do for pleasing Allah subhanAllah because if we do so
[44:16]then our time will and how we use our time will reflect
[44:21]who we are we will become something that is associated with the
[44:24]unlimited and we know that allah subhanho - Allah is the greatest
[44:28]so if you're associated with greatness then how great are we going
[44:35]to be and we can achieve that by using our time wisely
[44:38]but if we don't then how lowly will be we will we
[44:43]be so if I want to be lofty and hine status then
[44:47]I spend my time as the unlimited creator wants me to spend
[44:51]it I asked that Allah subhana Allah gives us the ability in
[44:54]the world power to do so I asked Allah subhana Allah brings
[44:57]us closer to him with every breath but Allah brings us closer
[44:59]to him even in our sleep we dedicate our time including our
[45:04]sleep to becoming better human beings to rejuvenate rejuvenating ourselves so that
[45:08]we can serve allah subhanaw taala and his creations better so we
[45:12]can serve an imam and Hutcheson a Malayalee medalist in his appearance
[45:15]we ask that allah subhanaw taala bestows his mercy upon our dearly
[45:18]departed gives health to all of our sick repeats the deaths of
[45:20]all those who are in that removes the oppression from all those
[45:24]who are oppressed group returns those who are estranged back to their
[45:27]homelands and back to their families we ask that Allah gives health
[45:31]to the sick and that he cures all those who are afflicted
[45:34]with any sickness including for with 19 inshallah in in in this
[45:41]holy month we'll be able to use our time wisely and the
[45:43]best thing that we can do right now is to recite the
[45:47]soliton one excess fat high and dedicates everything that we learned today
[45:51]to the Imam and kutcher and to all those who mentioned
