[0:00]Al whose story I am sure you've heard from these esteemed Scholars

[0:07]and others may Allah bless them and prolong their lives a man

[0:12]who goes to Hajj for 10 years shows what eagerness is like

[0:19]this is what happens when you're eager this is what happens when

[0:24]you're in love have you never been in love when you're in

[0:29]love the only thing that occupies your mind is the Beloved 24/7

[0:35]there is an obsession about the Beloved you can never get them

[0:41]out of your mind goes to in order to meet the Imam

[0:50]once and twice and Thrice and 10 times allahar until he says

[0:57]to himself he doesn't give up on seeing the Imam he doesn't

[1:01]blame the Imam for blocking access to him there's a reason why

[1:07]these people became who they are do you know what he says

[1:10]he says I am not worthy of seeing him if I were

[1:14]by now he would have allowed me some access he would have

[1:21]let me see him even if it were just once and so

[1:26]that year he tells the Caravan it doesn't look like I'll be

[1:30]joining you this time go on on your own he goes to

[1:34]bed in his dream he sees someone who comes to him and

[1:38]says come come go to Haj we you will get what you

[1:45]have sought this time around so he wakes up in the morning

[1:51]he asks about the Caravan he's told that the Caravan has already

[1:54]left the city runs after the Caravan until he reaches them and

[1:59]he says I've changed my mind I wish to come along with

[2:01]you it looks like finally after 10 years of hard toil and

[2:07]struggle I'll be able to to receive that that most prized of

[2:11]all possessions he goes along with them long story short it's a

[2:15]beautiful very nuanced and detailed story with many many lessons but this

[2:23]is the short version he goes along with them arrives in Mecca

[2:27]as he's doing ta he says a young man approached me he

[2:31]said me you are Al come I have the one you are

[2:38]seeking so he takes me we cross we exit the city of

[2:40]Mecca we cross valleys and mountain ranges ranges until we get to

[2:47]this Cliff he says to me you see the top of that

[2:49]Cliff I looked at it there was a tent and from that

[2:54]tent there was a bright beam of light he said to me

[2:58]that is your destination this is where you need to go to

[3:01]he says I went up I asked permission I entered now imagine

[3:08]the state of mind that Al is Imagine The eagerness imagine that

[3:13]sh that love which drove him from his town and City to

[3:19]Haj 11 times in order to meet his master what is going

[3:24]through his mind I have no idea only a true lover will

[3:27]understand what another lover is going through he says I entered I

[3:34]saw the Imam sitting on the floor with his finger his index

[3:37]finger in the sand as soon as he saw me he said

[3:49]I have been waiting for you day and night 11 years Where

[3:55]Have You Been he says to him I did didn't have access

[4:02]to you no one was there to guide me to you he

[4:06]said no one was there to guide [Music] you he said to

[4:13]him no that's not it you were occupied with money and wealth

[4:17]and living your life that's what blocked your access to us I've

[4:25]been waiting for you where have you been the Imam says to

[4:31]in his letter to him and he says in other letters the

[4:37]letters of the Imam must be read brothers and sisters look them

[4:41]up online try and read them try and make out whatever you

[4:48]can from them there are some messages embedded deeply in those letters

[4:53]which are great lessons in and of themselves in one of those

[4:56]letters the Imam says that had it not not been for the

[5:02]sins committed by our followers had it not been for those sins

[5:10]you would have been able to see us you would have been

[5:14]able to meet us but it's those sins that create barriers it's

[5:16]those sins that put up curtains and you can't see the beauty

[5:22]that is the Imam of your time the representative the vice gerant

[5:26]of God Almighty on Earth it's these same that don't let you

[5:33]open your heart and open your eyes though at the same time

[5:36]the Imam you know what he says he says don't think that

[5:47]we have forgotten about you don't think that we have abandoned you

[5:50]don't think that we have forsaken our followers we are always thinking

[5:58]of you we're always looking after you adjusting your path in ways

[6:03]that you don't even know you're not even paying any attention to

[6:08]this but we adjust your paths we make changes to your lives

[6:14]so as to avoid major obstacles so as to avoid falling into

[6:17]the traps of shatan and the more you think of the IM

[6:22]the more you try and connect with him the more you pay

[6:24]s on his behalf the more you try and reach out the

[6:28]more the Imam looks after you as well that connection needs to

[6:32]be established first
