[0:32]muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa ali and his immaculate progeny of the a

[0:37]little bit peace be upon them especially the leader of our time

[0:44]the awaited savior le mom and manager Allah to Allah for Allah

[0:48]may God hasten his reappearance and make us all amongst his sincere

[0:53]and dedicated servants my dear brothers and sisters assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh I

[1:05]sincerely extend to you my condolences on the martyrdom of Imam Musa

[1:12]me Jafar and Imam al karim the seventh imam of a debate

[1:17]today coincided with the martyrdom of al imam al cava as he

[1:28]was martyred in prison on the 25th of Rajab I extend to

[1:31]you my condolences on this very sorrowful occasion and we ask the

[1:38]Almighty God to grant us the shofar and the intercession of an

[16:15]and he became one of the worshipers and scholars of his time

[16:21]see simple words from an imam and calimari salaam would transform people

[16:26]like that so al imam al karim continued to be a source

[16:29]of inspiration more and more people were guided by the wisdom of

[16:34]Allah Mohammed column by the guidance they o'clock the character the nobility

[16:39]the virtues of an imam in column and that disturbed the tyrants

[16:44]of his time because they saw the imam is gaining more and

[16:48]more support more and more people are being attracted to the imam

[16:52]and his message more and more people are loving a lemon milk

[16:59]adam alayhis-salam and that really disturbed those evil authorities so they decided

[17:05]to imprison of it to imprison an imam and column and my

[17:08]dear brothers and sisters this is a very tragic era in the

[17:15]history of a debate for this Imam who is the symbol of

[17:19]worshipping the symbol of piety the symbol of human humility and humbleness

[17:25]for him to be imprisoned according to a number of historians for

[17:32]14 years 7 to 14 years first they took an imam al

[17:36]Karim Ali Salaam to prisons in Basra there after a while they

[17:43]transferred him to that one day when Alomar milk Adam was in

[17:49]one of those prisons in Basra Harun the Calif he came to

[23:46]relief from you Allah saved me from this prison Oh Allah saved

[23:52]me from the injustice of Harun the a man made that prayer

[23:59]during those final days of his life Alina so aid was one

[24:57]casket on the bridge imagine his followers eagerly waiting for the release

[25:04]of the Imam but they understood what the Imam had meant what

[26:21]such a long time I wanted to be free from distractions so

[26:26]I can worship you and you've answered my prayer yes it's tough

[26:30]in this prison I don't have my physical freedom but no one

[26:34]can take my spiritual freedom because I'm still your servant oh allah

[26:39]and i still worship you my dear brothers and sisters these days

[26:42]were experiencing a global crisis many businesses are shutting down many people

[26:50]are in a lockdown or their self current eaning in their homes

[26:57]and the and and and we are facing severe disruptions in our

[27:02]lives this is unfortunate and we ask allah spanish allah to give

[27:08]everyone across the grow across the globe a speedy recovery a speedy

[27:15]relief however my dear brothers and sisters let's look at the positive

[27:22]side by spending more time at home let's learn how to resort

[27:28]to God in times of crisis sometimes the materialistic world distracts us

[27:35]so much we forget to seek patience and times of difficulty we

[27:39]forget to connect to our Lord to seek inspiration from our Lord

[27:44]we are seeking inspiration from money from power from materialism from entertainment

[27:49]and all of that is superficial because one day will come we

[27:53]have to let that go my dear brothers and sisters these days

[27:58]are an opportunity for us to elevate our spirituality to focus on

[28:03]their journey of the Ashura the hereafter to better ourselves to discover

[28:09]our weaknesses our strengths believe me many of us don't even know

[28:11]ourselves because we're so caught up with this life we're so distracted

[28:22]by materialism in times of crisis as we stay in our homes

[28:26]let's use this time positively my dear brothers and sisters and Imam

[28:31]in kahramana salam says divide your day into four parts one for

[28:37]your Lord brothers and sisters the Quran tells us God created us

[28:42]to worship Him yes worship comes in many forms earning halal living

[28:45]let's worship being good to your parents that's worship teaching your family

[28:51]that's worship chair is worship but Allah has created us to worship

[28:55]Him we don't have time to worship God do to our distractions

[29:00]unfortunately even for those of us who pray we're always trying to

[29:06]find a time to squeeze our prayer in somehow everything else has

[29:10]the priority if I can have 10 minutes maybe I'll fit in

[29:14]a prayer here or there my dear brothers and sisters our salah

[29:18]our prayer our act of a bada should be the core of

[29:22]our schedule should lie at the core of our schedule should be

[29:27]our priority because allah created us to worship Him anything else that

[29:32]does not qualify as worship is a waste of life the day

[29:37]of judgment is a day of regret yeomen hasslein one of the

[29:40]names of the day of judgment the day of remorse and regret

[29:44]because we wasted our life not worshiping allah spano Etana a lhasa

[29:48]is the source of all goodness in the universe allows the source

[29:54]of richness allows the source of Prower allows the source of beauty

[29:58]allows the source of every goodness you can think of worshipping God

[30:02]means you connect yourself to Allah let's take advantage of this opportunity

[30:07]my dear brothers and sisters to worship God so a mnemonic Adam

[30:11]says one part for God one part for making a living these

[30:18]days alhamdulillah many of us can work from home and I know

[30:20]many businesses many schools many institutions are asking their employees to work

[30:28]from home be thankful to Allah that you can still work there

[30:34]were times where the followers of a debate experienced such severe persecution

[30:40]they couldn't leave their homes my dear brothers and sisters at the

[30:44]time of an imam musa alayhis salaam when the woman of a

[30:47]debate wanted to pray you know they could not pray together they

[30:53]had to take turns because they did not have a full piece

[30:56]of cloth clothing garment veil to fully cover their body so they

[31:04]could offer their salah because i you know according to Islamic law

[31:08]a woman has to cover her body except the face on the

[31:10]hands when she's praying they had to switch because they had one

[31:13]full garment like that imagine imagine the poverty the persecution people couldn't

[31:21]go out and work if you were follow an inmate you were

[31:25]persecuted no one would do business with you my dear brothers and

[31:29]sisters be thankful to Allah that you don't go through that that

[31:34]even when there's a crisis many of us can still work from

[31:39]our homes be thankful to Allah span wata'ala and let this crisis

[31:44]allow you to re-examine the type of work that you do my

[31:51]work my business does it satisfy Allah or no my dear brothers

[31:54]and sisters does it harm society or no these days many people

[32:01]are asking about investing in recreational marijuana how can you sleep at

[32:07]night investing in a business like that knowing that all it does

[32:10]it makes drugs accessible to our youth and it makes them more

[32:14]comfortable with the idea of doing drugs and it could serve as

[32:21]a gateway to other drugs is this fair as the sustenance of

[32:26]allah subhana wa ta'ala so small such that i have to go

[32:29]and resort to these methods to make a living my dear brothers

[32:35]and sisters let this global crisis allow you to reevaluate the work

[32:38]that you do as this halal is this haram does this satisfy

[32:41]God or no does this help humanity or no or does it

[32:47]take advantage of people any type of Haram business let me take

[32:53]this opportunity to re-evaluate it now and to change it and to

[32:56]find another path that brings me closer to Allah span and WA

[33:25]them speak to them learn from them have beneficial sessions with your

[33:30]family my dear brothers and sisters many of us don't have time

[33:32]for our families believe me I know some parents especially some fathers

[33:36]they barely have time to see their children and if the father

[33:43]or the mother they put their children in an Islamic school or

[33:46]Sunday school that's a colors they think they fulfilled their responsibility I

[33:50]don't need to do anything at home that's wrong my dear brothers

[33:53]and sisters the most important source of religious education moral education ethical

[33:59]education is your house you can't rely on the school and on

[34:03]other programs yes the school helps you it's great religious programs are

[34:10]a great asset in our community but don't everything that replaces your

[34:14]role in in the house take advantage of these days to sit

[34:18]amongst your own family and reflect on what is right and what

[34:24]is wrong teach your children you'll learn take out a book and

[34:28]learn about your faith learn about the Quran believe me most of

[34:31]us don't know anything about the Quran Allah has gifted us with

[34:37]114 surahs and chapters do you even know anything about them there

[34:42]are some chapters believe you if you say their name people think

[34:46]you're speaking a foreign language here ask ask the average person in

[34:51]our community what sort a locked-off what does a cough mean what

[34:55]does all of me what does Jesse I mean they think you're

[34:59]speaking some foreign language we don't know anything about the Holy Quran

[35:06]when the Holy Quran is the life for our soul for our

[35:09]heart let's take advantage of these upcoming days to get a little

[35:16]bit closer to the Quran take a verse discuss it read about

[35:18]it discuss it with your children and ask each other how can

[35:25]we implement it become closer to your family my dear brothers and

[35:30]sisters develop such an amazing bond with your family such that inshallah

[35:34]for many many years and decades you'll look back and you'll say

[35:36]oh Allah thank you for giving me the opportunity to know my

[35:41]spouse better to know my children better to form a healthy bond

[35:45]life is so distracting you did not have that opportunity before now

[35:49]Allah is giving you that opportunity another aspect my dear brothers and

[35:55]sisters of staying at home and spending more time alone especially with

[36:06]the lockdowns we're going to be spending a lot more time alone

[36:10]or with small groups or with just our families one of the

[36:14]benefits of that my dear brothers and sisters is that it strengthens

[36:19]our intellect there's a beautiful hadith in the book of coffee that

[36:26]states one of the signs of intellect is your ability to handle

[36:33]solitude what does that mean we're impacted by society public opinion shapes

[36:41]our own opinion we care about what's popular sometimes we cannot make

[36:48]the right decisions because there's pressure on us peer pressure family pressure

[36:54]social pressure pressure from popular culture pressure from Hollywood your ability to

[37:01]endure solitude my dear brothers and sisters can I be alone not

[37:05]distracted think objectively about what's right and what's wrong without having people

[37:15]influencing me every day without being brainwashed by the media every single

[37:20]day do I have that strength or no this is a sign

[37:26]of a believer your ability to endure solitude life sometimes gets so

[37:32]busy and distracting we don't have that time of Solitude others make

[37:36]decisions for you believe me you think you're making your decisions think

[37:40]twice others are making decisions for you you just don't notice it

[37:44]others are determining moral values values for you but in times of

[37:53]Solitude Yury evaluate what's right and what's wrong and this is a

[38:00]great opportunity for us my dear brothers and sisters we have a

[38:04]beautiful sermon from imam ali bin ABI talib adi salaam an angel'

[38:08]balada in which the imam ali salam says in times of crisis

[38:16]doubts confusions estatua rule feeble you to come go and conceal yourselves

[38:21]in your homes now this is to be taken symbolically sometimes when

[38:27]there's a fitness a controversy confusion don't directly involve yourself there is

[38:33]a problem in the community between two families two people two institutions

[38:37]some people the first thing they do they jump on social media

[38:40]and they start commenting and then attacking one side over the other

[38:44]without even knowing what's going on or there's an ideological crisis and

[38:51]people get fooled and brainwashed and I not even ever thought about

[38:54]this and I'm says when there is confusion when there are some

[38:57]doubts here and there stay put don't get involved create space for

[39:02]yourselves create your own ideological spiritual space in times of crisis my

[39:11]dear brothers and sisters we have the opportunity to create that space

[39:20]so let's take advantage of this wonderful opportunity my dear brothers and

[39:28]sisters finally my last note tonight as we are seeing these global

[39:32]events let's be humbled my dear brothers and sisters human beings feel

[39:37]arrogant we feel like we conquer the universe we conquer the planet

[39:41]we can do whatever we want we can wage wars whenever we'd

[39:48]like impose sanctions whenever we'd like determine moral values every day and

[39:54]play around with them we think we're invincible we think we're God's

[39:56]chosen people were the greatest peace pull on earth let us be

[40:04]humbled take this as a message from Allah Spano Ta'ala one small

[40:08]virus that you cannot even see is bringing many people to their

[40:13]knees but that's a good lesson to learn let's not be so

[40:18]arrogant the first sin committed in history was an act of arrogance

[40:21]when Satan refused to prostrate to Adam and he said I am

[40:24]better than him you've made me from fire and you've made him

[40:27]from clay let's learn from that my dear brothers and sisters let's

[40:32]not be so arrogant to be humbled with your spouse be humbled

[40:35]with your family with your friends truly feel that we need Allah

[40:40]sometimes life creates the superficial state for us where we think we're

[40:46]so tough where we think we can manage everything if I have

[40:52]money I can get my way if I get into trouble I

[40:56]have the best lawyer whose don't to bail me out I have

[40:59]power I have everything but that's wrong my dear brothers and sisters

[41:03]Allah says within days you lose control so don't be so arrogant

[41:10]let's take this lesson my dear brothers and sisters to our heart

[41:13]and let's pray for everyone around the world we ask you o

[41:15]allah we ask you o la lift this difficulty give us a

[41:22]speedy relief by the great status of the holy prophet muhammad sallallahu

[42:49]yourself at risk and in harm's way and not to put anyone

[42:55]if by leaving for non-essential reasons you're putting yourself at risk you're

[43:00]putting others at risk then yes this is a violation of the

[43:03]Islamic law of no harm so if the municipal government is issue

[43:10]such an order my dear brothers and sisters we should abide by

[43:13]we should abide by that order in order to guarantee the safety
