[2:34][Music] H say be [Music] Be careful.
[3:40][Music] Motherim.
[4:17][Music] Motherim [Music] Say [Music] he [Music] [Music] be [Music] H say
[5:33][Music] [Music] he is God in a baby.
[6:01][Music] They say [Music] Muhammad [Music] said Muhammad to the member with
[7:06]the recitation of three loud salawat Muhammad Ali Muhammad [Music] What do
[7:30]I have?
[7:31]How long do I have?
[7:44]stand.
[8:05]Alhamdulillah.
[8:27][Music] [Music] for [Music] imbuhammed.
[9:32][Music] [Music] The majus of the two sons of Muslim every year
[9:51]is a reminder that the month of Muharram is upon us.
[9:55]When it comes to this majus, this is the last majus according
[10:03]to the Shia calendars before we officially begin the month of Malis,
[10:09]the month of Azah.
[10:14]And when you hear the name Muslimn or you hear the names
[10:18]of his sons, it is a reminder that there are certain people
[10:23]who are on the way to Karbala.
[10:25]And there are certain people who are already been killed before the
[10:31]holy imam has even reached Karbala.
[10:34]And for this reason, Muslim, the sons of Muslim and other sha
[10:45]of Kufa are considered amongst the shahada of Kerbala that were killed
[10:49]outside of Kbala because there were shada Hussein.
[10:56]There were shada in the path of Hussein.
[11:01]You know the the hadith which has come up in almost all
[11:08]of the mak or the majority of them where Imam Hussein praises
[11:17]his companions when he says I do not know of any companions
[11:25]any sahaba who are more loyal and are more greater than my
[11:35]companions.
[11:33]So the of Imam Hussein are when it comes to companions when
[11:41]it comes to Sahabah the companions of Abd Hussein are far greater
[11:46]than the companions of Im Hassin and Allah.
[11:51]For Imam Hussein says, "I do not know of any companions who
[11:57]come as close as the loyalty and the greatness as my companions."
[12:02]You see the mak when they discuss the companions of Imam Hussein,
[12:11]it is famously agreed upon and known that there are 72 shuada
[12:17]in Kbala, right?
[12:19]72.
[12:19]However, the question is, are those 72 shada companions of Imam Hussein
[12:30]other than members of Banu Hashim or is it 72 plus members
[12:36]of Banu Hashim?
[12:35]Because we know Banu Hashim were 18 that were martyed in Karbala,
[12:40]the sons of the Hash the Hashimi sons.
[12:44]And so here there's a difference.
[12:48]One of the narrations says when Imam Hussein stood alone on the
[12:51]day of Ashur at the time of Assar and he looked towards
[12:54]where he had gathered the bodies of Shuada, the Maktal says he
[13:02]found 72 bodies or there were 72 shada in front of him
[13:05]which makes him the 73rd.
[13:09]Or for example the narrations some of the makat mak or the
[13:15]maktal navis those who have written the makat they have written that
[13:24]72 were those who left Medina.
[13:27]Amongst them were 53 or 50 odd companions and 18 of Banu
[13:35]Hashim.
[13:36]So these are the ones that left Medina.
[13:40]Some of them have said look no they were more than 72.
[13:46]That's an opinion that exists even though it's not the famous opinion.
[13:50]But there is an opinion that exists that they were more than
[13:57]72.
[13:55]But even the ones who say they were more it's only a
[14:01]handful that they add on.
[14:01]maybe 10, maybe 15 or 20.
[14:06]But what everybody agrees upon is that the minimum number of shuada
[14:16]on that day was 72.
[14:18]That's something where everybody is together.
[14:19]Now whether those 72 were with Banu Hashim or outside of Banu
[14:25]Hashim, that can be discussed.
[14:30]But the reason why some of the scholars have said that there
[14:33]were more than 72 is because they have added 12 of the
[14:39]shahada of Kufa.
[14:39]They said they were shahid in the path of Hussein Muslim and
[14:45]the two sons of Muslim Muhammad and Ibraim.
[14:50]The two flowers that you have gathered to remember here tonight.
[14:55]The two gems of Muslim.
[14:58]And they have added and the list is longer.
[15:01]They say Muslimn should be amongst the companions of Hussein.
[15:06]The two sons of Muslim should be amongst the companions.
[15:09]Abdullah Abdullah.
[15:12]These are amongst the big names that were amongst the Shada of
[15:19]Kufa and others.
[15:19]And so some of them have added them amongst the companions of
[15:26]Imam Hussein.
[15:29]said in his the famous book he says on the day of
[15:42]Ash there were nine from the sons of Ali that were killed
[15:45]four from the sons of Hassan that were killed three from the
[15:50]sons of Hussein that were killed and three from the sons of
[15:54]Abdul Jaffar two of them you know on and Muhammad the sons
[15:59]of BB zab he includes another name by the name ofah but
[16:05]when it comes to ali subhan allah he says the most children
[16:14]that were killed on the day of ash are from the progeny
[16:18]of akil nine sons of akil eight grandsons of akil In other
[16:27]words, a gave everything for the sake of Aba Abdah in one
[16:35]day in a space of a few hours.
[16:38]You know, today because there are wars everywhere.
[16:43]One rocket hits 10, 20, 25 dead.
[16:49]Sometimes five of the same family members, sometimes three generations, sometimes nine
[16:59]together, sometimes complete families wiped out.
[17:00]Yes or no?
[17:03]This is bound to happen.
[17:06]That's the nature of the weapon.
[17:08]It doesn't discriminate.
[17:10]The effect is such that it wipes out everything within a certain
[17:17]radius.
[17:17]Yeah.
[17:19]However, on the day of Ash sacrifice his complete family tree, but
[17:30]there was a difference.
[17:34]It's not that just one bomb and wiped out.
[17:37]It was much more painful, much more harder, much more slower.
[17:43]It was a slow death.
[17:45]Not like gone.
[17:49]It was one by one.
[17:52]That makes it more painful.
[17:55]Makes it much harder when you witness it.
[17:58]When you see the first one is gone, now the second one
[18:02]is going and won't come back.
[18:03]And now the third one is going and won't come back.
[18:07]You know, it's one thing though you might say both of them
[18:12]are shahada.
[18:11]Yes.
[18:12]Those who are cured innocently, sleeping in their beds by a missile,
[18:17]by a bomb shahid.
[18:20]But there's a difference between dying on the bed and dying on
[18:29]the battlefield.
[18:28]Surely the one who comes out one is unexpected shahid.
[18:36]The other came with the intention of shahada.
[18:41]And so that's why have they have levels and Allah will give
[18:46]them according to their own and according to their own determination.
[18:54]Is one of those who gave everything sacrificed his whole family tree
[19:03]for the sake of Aba Abdal Hussein.
[19:07]Muslimn was dearly loved by Allah.
[19:14]As you know, Muslim was not only the cousin of Imam Hussein,
[19:20]he was also the son-in-law of Imam Amir.
[19:25]So these two sons that were killed in Kufa are the grandsons
[19:31]of Ali like and Muhammad.
[19:34]Yes.
[19:35]And so they have a direct connection with imm so these are
[19:45]amongst the companions of Imam Hussein Muslim and the sons of Muslim
[19:50]and those who were in Karbala.
[19:52]Who are these companions?
[19:52]You know if you ever look through the in the mak there's
[19:57]a list of the companions of Imam Hussein.
[19:59]You see the vast majority of them were from Kufa.
[20:03]The same Kufa they say betray betrayed Imam Hussein and rightfully so.
[20:09]Yet the majority the bulk of the army the small army of
[20:15]Imam Hussein were Kufis then from Basra and then from Medina and
[20:20]around Medina or around Kufa.
[20:24]These are the people that made up the bulk of this army.
[20:29]And the army of Imam Hussein Alisam encompasses everyone.
[20:34]It has something for everybody.
[20:38]You want young, you have children.
[20:43]A message for the children.
[20:46]You have plenty of children in the camps of Imam Hussein.
[20:48]Two children you're going to remember tonight.
[20:51]You want old.
[20:54]You have the likes of Muslim and Habib who are amongst the
[20:59]of the army of Imam Hussein Alisam.
[21:03]You want free, you have free men.
[21:08]You want slaves, you have John.
[21:11]You want men, you have men.
[21:16]You want women, you have women.
[21:18]In other words, the army of Imam Hussein though small.
[21:22]You want Arab, you have Arab.
[21:23]You want black, you have black.
[21:26]Small yet something for everybody.
[21:35]The army of Imam Hussein was such lesson for everybody.
[21:41]You see when the holy imam is leaving Medadina many people stopped
[21:46]him.
[21:47]Some of his own Shia because they truly and genuinely worried about
[21:51]him and some out of politics.
[21:54]They didn't want Imam Hussein to get in the way.
[21:57]Some were not sincere.
[22:00]Amongst those who were sincere for Imam Hussein Alisam was his own
[22:03]brother-in-law Abdullahbn Jaffar Alisam, the husband of the Zan.
[22:11]He comes and he stops.
[22:15]There's a lengthy discussion with him and the holy imam.
[22:18]You must go.
[22:20]Why don't you stay?
[22:23]Why don't I go and speak to the hakim that he gives
[22:26]you some flexibility?
[22:27]Why don't I go and try something?
[22:29]Let me speak to them.
[22:31]Abdullah was one of the chiefs of Banu Hashim.
[22:35]His word carried weight.
[22:38]Of course, Imam Hussein was the imam, but still there were other
[22:43]tribal heads.
[22:43]There were other people who were prominent.
[22:45]Abdullah was one of them.
[22:47]Let me go and speak with them.
[22:51]The Imam says, "Look, even if I hide in a hole under
[22:53]the ground, they will find and kill me." You see, sometimes there's
[23:03]a time for peace and Imm Hassan did that.
[23:08]The imam knows there's two type, you see, for anyone there's two
[23:16]types of times that you pass.
[23:20]either a time of peace or a time of war.
[23:24]And we're fast heading or already in a time of war.
[23:28]The world is heading towards a global war.
[23:32]The time of peace doesn't last forever.
[23:38]Neither does war.
[23:41]What does AM say?
[23:44]One day is with you and another day is against you.
[23:50]That's how this is this is how the nature of this earth
[23:55]you see wars were predicted by the angels Allah you're going to
[24:06]make no Adam we know what his children will do they will
[24:11]cause bloodshed there will be war global wars world wars this was
[24:19]already spo you know spoken about between Allah and the when Allah
[24:27]made Adam but we worship you we praise you Allah says I
[24:32]know something you don't know the angels knew that this man would
[24:40]cause war and bloodshed but what they didn't know is through Adam
[24:46]Allah wanted to bring Ibraim and Musa and Isa and Muhammad what
[24:58]what what what they didn't know is Allah had a greater plan
[25:03]and Allah is the best of planners yes there will be war
[25:07]yes there will be bloodshed yes great people will get killed blood
[25:13]will be spilled Yet somebody, it is as if Allah subhana wa
[25:19]ta'ala was speaking of many many generations down.
[25:23]Somebody will become Ibraim.
[25:27]Somebody will become MS.
[25:28]Somebody will become Isa.
[25:29]Somebody will become N.
[25:32]Somebody will become Muhammad.
[25:33]Somebody will become Ali.
[25:34]And somebody will come as the Miuhammed.
[25:43]Yes.
[25:44]And so Allah says, "I know something you don't know." For a
[25:50]handful of few, Allah subhana wa ta'ala ignored the request of the
[25:56]angels.
[25:59]And so, Imam Hussein, is there no other way?
[26:02]No, there's no other way.
[26:04]But your brother, peace treaty.
[26:08]The Imam knows sometimes it's a time of peace and sometimes it's
[26:11]time for war.
[26:13]The Imam says they will kill me even if I hide in
[26:14]a hole.
[26:16]For those who say well if IM Hussein you know IM Hussein
[26:20]for those who oppose Imam Hussein and really don't understand the personality
[26:27]of Hussein they say look Hussein brought it upon himself and his
[26:34]companions.
[26:33]What happened to Muslim?
[26:36]Hussein is to blame.
[26:36]What happened to his sons?
[26:39]God forbid.
[26:38]Hussein is to blame.
[26:40]What happened to the Shada Kbal?
[26:41]Hussein is to blame.
[26:42]What happened to Alias?
[26:42]Hussein is to blame.
[26:44]These are those who have no idea of who Hussein is.
[26:51]This was self-destruction.
[26:54]This is destructive.
[26:54]This is suicidal.
[26:58]Yeah.
[27:01]You see as Muslims there's great importance on the concept of martyrdom.
[27:11]In death there is life.
[27:13]Shahada is not the end.
[27:18]When a shahid dies physically his apparent life comes to an end
[27:25]but his movement is given life.
[27:29]Shahadat is such Islam religion of Islam emphasizes on martrdom emphasize on
[27:36]shahada and this is something the western world does not understand and
[27:40]will not understand.
[27:44]You know why?
[27:43]Because the world view is different.
[27:47]The world view is totally different.
[27:51]Imagine you bury a seed in dead land.
[27:56]That's a waste of seed.
[28:00]But if the same seed is buried in fertile land, from that
[28:11]seed comes out a plant that grows and gives hundreds if not
[28:15]thousands of fruits in its lifetime.
[28:19]When the shahed is buried, it is as if he's buried in
[28:26]fertile land.
[28:24]One shahid gives rise to many more.
[28:28]who will give fruit.
[28:32]This is for a common shah.
[28:36]Now imagine somebody who say imagine the sons of Muslim.
[28:40]Imagine Muslim.
[28:41]Imagine those in Kbala.
[28:46]And hence when the imam was cornered and this is the you
[28:52]see this is the Husseini mindset.
[28:54]This is why the Husseini mindset never surrenders because this is what
[29:04]Ashur has instilled in our blood since the young age.
[29:12]Since the first time we said Yah Hussein, Yah Hussein.
[29:14]It is as if Yah Hussein means no surrender.
[29:21]Yeah.
[29:22]No.
[29:23]No, but if he had given ba to Yazid, maybe he would
[29:27]have lived and and so would have his his companions.
[29:31]No, Bea was not the problem.
[29:37]The very existence of Hussein was a problem for Yazid.
[29:43]Bea was not the problem.
[29:47]Yes, Hussein did not give Bea because neither did his brother Hassan
[29:52]nor his father Ali Abnal.
[29:55]And what's interesting is that Yazid could have offered Imam Hussein a
[29:59]peace treaty because his father had done one with Imam Hassan.
[30:03]And so he knew that they they could do a peace treaty.
[30:07]Imam Hassan did one did one with the Kufuar the Mush.
[30:15]So he knew the family of Imam Hussein.
[30:18]He said he would do a peace treaty but I need something
[30:20]as a reason to kill him.
[30:24]He also knew that his brother nor his father gave allegiance hence
[30:29]he will not give allegiance.
[30:31]Yes, he had studied Imam Hussein.
[30:35]He had known that if I give the peace treaty option he
[30:37]might take it because I imam Hassan took it and I imam
[30:43]Hussein honored it.
[30:42]But if I give the option of bea he will give his
[30:47]head.
[30:47]He will not give his hand.
[30:50]Yeah.
[30:51]And Imm Hussein Alisam preferred shahada, dignity, honor or humiliation.
[31:01]And such were the companions.
[31:05]Whether you look at the companions of of the of or the
[31:09]of you find something which is common in all of them.
[31:14]peak of servitude and peak of loyalty.
[31:19]Muslim was alone.
[31:23]His sons were alone.
[31:25]They were in prison for a year before they were they were
[31:31]killed the year after.
[31:30]So Muslim killed inh they were killed in the vilha the year
[31:35]after they spent a year in prison.
[31:39]In that one year in prison they could have said something.
[31:43]Okay, we give up.
[31:44]Okay, look, we'll try to let's discuss, let's dialogue, you know, we're
[31:51]willing to we're willing to switch sides.
[31:54]You don't even find that with the kids, with the children.
[31:57]You don't find that in the children with Kbala peak of service.
[32:04]Let me give you a companion of Imam Hussein Abdullah.
[32:11]Him and his wife lived outside of Kufa where the palm trees
[32:19]by the by a well and palm trees.
[32:22]It is there where he lived with his wife.
[32:28]His wife's her name was Omahab.
[32:29]It is there when the forces of Iben Zad started to camp
[32:33]because there was a well there.
[32:34]He comes out and he says what is this?
[32:37]What's you know what's going on?
[32:41]all these troops, soldiers loaded with weapons, they're all stopping here.
[32:45]And so they said to him, "They're going to fight Hussein, the
[32:49]son of Fatima Karbala." As soon as he heard that, there's a
[32:53]famous saying from him that has come up in the books.
[32:57]He says, "I have always wanted to fight the mushri with Allah.
[33:05]I've always wanted to do jihad with the mushri.
[33:07]And I have no doubt that fighting these Muslims who are fighting
[33:12]Hussein Ali is just as much sabab as fighting the mushri.
[33:16]He came to his wife.
[33:19]He says I must go.
[33:21]She says if you must go then take me with you.
[33:25]And so both of them join Imam Hussein in Karbala.
[33:30]The Maktal says when this Abdullahbn Omar this companion of Imam Hussein
[33:38]he was brave.
[33:38]He was known to be somebody who was brave.
[33:50]noble.
[33:52]He's a pure man.
[33:55]And it says when he goes into the battlefield, he loses two
[34:01]of his fingers.
[34:02]Two of his fingers are and left hand are cut.
[34:06]And yet he still holds the weapon and he recites a rajas
[34:14]in which he refers to his wife who is amongst the camps
[34:23]of the ladies of alul and he says to her oh like
[34:31]I promised you I'll fight to the end.
[34:35]When she hears that the maktal says she comes rushing out.
[34:40]Now remember it was not common for women to rush out.
[34:43]When when BB Zanab came out when Hazat Alagbar fell from the
[34:51]horse Imam Hussein returned her.
[34:54]So this wife of Abdullah comes rushing out and she says may
[35:03]I may my father be and my mothers be sacrificed for you
[35:07]fight them and protect the zuryat of Muhammad fight them and protect
[35:12]the children the family of the prophet and then she says when
[35:14]she comes out she says and I will stand with you I
[35:19]will support you and fight with you until I die with you.
[35:21]Imam Hussein hears that he comes onto the battlefield and he says,
[35:27]"May Allah give you both jazah.
[35:29]May Allah reward you both." Oh wah.
[35:35]But Allah has not made jihad for the women.
[35:36]Before I Hussein gets there.
[35:39]Her husband tries very hard to send her back.
[35:43]But the courage, the bravery, the adrenaline in her was such that
[35:51]she says, "No, I will stand and fight alongside you." So her
[35:55]husband already tried.
[35:55]He says, "No, go back.
[35:59]Go back to the tents." She says, "No.
[36:01]I will do this jihad with you.
[36:04]I will stand by your side." Yet when Imam Hussein now comes
[36:12]and says Allah has not made jihad for the woman go back
[36:15]to the tents she had her her love for her husband is
[36:21]overpowered for her love for the imam.
[36:25]Yes, go back.
[36:29]She says yes.
[36:32]Now she goes back and now imagine this.
[36:34]She goes back and she sits in the tents in the muim.
[36:39]This sitting was harder for her than the first because now she
[36:45]doesn't know if she'll see him again and she doesn't know what's
[36:49]going on.
[36:50]But yet the command of the imam was such that she puts
[36:54]her feelings, she steps on her feelings and she comes and she
[37:01]sits down.
[37:03]It is when he falls.
[37:06]When he falls, she comes rushing out to the battlefield.
[37:13]What does she see?
[37:16]She sees him covered in his blood on the ground.
[37:19]She sits by his headside and she talks to him.
[37:23]She had a slave by the name of Rustam.
[37:27]He says, "Oh, Rustam, go and put her out of her misery."
[37:32]You know something like this if somebody is dying and somebody from
[37:37]the family the wife or the mother is crying over that body
[37:42]it brings tears to your eyes doesn't matter if you know them
[37:45]or not but such were the people in the army in the
[37:51]ranks of Yazid that nothing would bring tears to their eyes and
[37:57]so he attacks her from behind killing her instantly.
[38:00]She was one of the female shahada amongst the companions amongst the
[38:04]asab of Imam Hussein amongst the female.
[38:09]But servitude and loyalty to the Imam was such that they honored
[38:19]until today.
[38:21]Imam Hussein Alisam asked his companions, "Which of you would like to
[38:25]go?
[38:27]Go." He freed them.
[38:30]He says, "My obedience has been lifted from you.
[38:33]You're free tonight." Night night, the night of Ash go.
[38:41]This is between me and them.
[38:44]Even at times of war, the holy imam did not force anybody.
[38:50]John, let me give the example of John.
[38:53]He comes to the Holy Imm.
[38:57]Do I have permission?
[38:57]This John is who?
[39:00]He is a slave of Abu Zar lived by Abu with Abu
[39:05]Dhar, trained by Abu Zar, nurtured by Abu Dhar, becomes one of
[39:11]the stone sh of Im Ali.
[39:12]And why would that not be the case if you have grown
[39:16]up with Abu Dhari, the defender of Ali?
[39:25]is John was black African.
[39:28]He comes to the holy imam.
[39:34]Imam says no.
[39:33]You're free.
[39:36]Go.
[39:37]He says.
[39:40]Is it because I'm dark?
[39:44]Is it because I don't have the same blood as yours?
[39:49]The hash hashimi blood?
[39:49]By God, I will not go until my blood is mixed with
[39:54]your blood on the plains of Kbala.
[39:57]And Hussein made a dua for him when he died.
[40:00]Hussein came to his body and he says Allah, oh Allah, brighten
[40:09]his face with because he said, do I not smell as good
[40:16]as you?
[40:18]Because had a fragrance, specific fragrance of Imam and and Nabu.
[40:22]Is it because I don't smell as good as you?
[40:24]The im made a dua for him.
[40:27]Oh Allah grant him a fragrance which is better than musk.
[40:35]It is said on 13th of Muhar when Imam Sajad was burying
[40:38]the shada in Kufa with banasad.
[40:41]They said there was a body that gave such a beautiful fragrance
[40:45]that we had never smelt anything like it.
[40:48]Imam Sajad says this is the body of John and that was
[40:50]a result of the dua of Abdah showing you what that the
[40:59]Shahid gets his Jazah in before he gets it in Shahid they
[41:07]get the jazz in sometimes you see it sometimes you don't sometimes
[41:13]you smell it sometimes you don't sometimes you hear it sometimes you
[41:17]when he fell from the from the horse this is before he
[41:29]was you know before he died he fell and he called out
[41:34]his father he says oh father my salams be upon you this
[41:42]is I see my grandfather is here giving me water from heaven
[41:46]from the pond of Kar the H of Kar in so the
[41:53]Shahid is given something in before of course he has given his
[41:57]bounties and his blessings in recite salawat yes so amongst the companions
[42:12]you have servitude you have loyalty now you come to the sons
[42:15]of Muslimn year in prison away from home.
[42:25]Muslim two sons were killed on the plains of Ashur plains of
[42:28]Karbala on the day with Imam Hussein and two are killed in
[42:36]Kufa.
[42:34]Muslim gave everything for the sake of Hussein and hence it is
[42:42]said Muslim is the first Hussein from the path of Hussein, Muhammad
[42:53]and Ibraim, they are brought to Iban Ziad.
[43:01]He says, "Put them, throw them into the dungeons and don't give
[43:07]them anything good to eat and do not give them cold water."
[43:12]Such was the fate of the lovers of Al Muhammad.
[43:16]Remember Muslim when he was arrested he was bleeding out of his
[43:23]mouth.
[43:22]He says will you give me water?
[43:25]They give him a cup of water and the blood drops in
[43:27]it.
[43:28]Becomes nudges.
[43:29]He refuses to drink it.
[43:30]He dies thirsty.
[43:34]The imams of B all of the imams of B died thirsty.
[43:42]Why?
[43:45]How?
[43:45]Because the effect of the poison is such that it makes you
[43:50]very thirsty.
[43:51]That's why when Imam Hassan was poisoned, they said, "Give him milk.
[43:56]Bring him water." Amirin was poison.
[44:01]The poisonous dagger would make him thirsty.
[44:02]The orphans of Kufa would bring him water and milk and drinks.
[44:08]Imam Jawad was poisoned.
[44:11]He was in unbearable thirst.
[44:13]Yet when we speak about thirst, [Music] Abdullah, though they all died
[44:24]thirsty, yet there is no thirst like the thirst of Hussein.
[44:27]There is no like the of the children of Hussein.
[44:35]These two children of Muslim Akil, they are put in prison.
[44:45]The prison guard, his name is Mashkur.
[44:47]Mashur so happens to be a lover of Al Muhammad.
[44:51]A year has passed.
[44:55]The younger brother and the older brother, they say to one another,
[45:02]"Oh brother, it has been a year.
[45:04]If only we could go back to Medina.
[45:07]If only we could go and meet at his grave.
[45:13]And so one day they speak to this prison guard.
[45:17]They say, "Oh man, tell us, do you know Muhammad?" He says,
[45:24]"Of course, he's our prophet.
[45:25]He's our Nabi." He says, "Okay, tell us, do you know the
[45:30]family of Muhammad?" He says, "Yes." He says, "Do you know?" He
[45:36]says, "Yes, he's a shahid.
[45:39]Allah has given him wings with which he flies with the mala."
[45:42]He says, "Do you know his brother?" He says, "Yes, I know
[45:49]a he says to him, then listen, we are the sons of
[45:54]Muslim.
[45:53]We are from the progeny of Muhammad Akil and Jaffar." He says,
[46:02]"I had no idea." He says to them, "Oh sons of Al
[46:06]Muhammad, oh sons of Alul, oh sons of Rasool Allah, forgive me.
[46:12]I had no idea who you were." He says, "The least I
[46:17]can do for you is tonight I can leave this door, this
[46:21]gate unlocked and you take the night and you flee." And he
[46:25]says, "Travel in the night, hide in the day because they'll be
[46:29]looking for you.
[46:29]In the night, Mashkur leaves the door open and as a result
[46:36]of that, he was later killed.
[46:36]When Iben Zad finds out he was killed and when they said
[46:42]to him, "We're going to kill you." He says, "This death is
[46:44]too small a price for the love of Al Muhammad.
[46:48]They escape in the middle of the night.
[46:52]They travel in the night.
[46:55]this.
[46:56]They rest in the day until one day they come by a
[46:58]river.
[46:59]They see an old lady.
[47:02]They want somewhere to hide.
[47:03]They go close to her and they say to her, "Oh lady,
[47:07]will you give us protection?" She sees two young children horrified, hungry,
[47:11]thirsty, in a state just out of the dungeon.
[47:17]She says, "Who are you?" They say, "We will only tell you
[47:19]if you give us aman, if you give us protection." She says
[47:24]yes I'll give you protection.
[47:24]Who are you?
[47:26]They say we are from the family of Allah.
[47:31]We are from the B.
[47:30]We are from the family of it.
[47:33]So happens she is another lover of the al Muhammad Kufa had
[47:38]lovers of B.
[47:38]She says of course my guests you are my house is your
[47:42]house.
[47:42]Come and say stay in my house.
[47:44]She brings for them food and drink.
[47:45]But she says but I worry that my son-in-law is an evil
[47:51]man.
[47:51]He works for Iben Zad if and if he finds you then
[47:53]I am worried for that.
[47:56]They say look let us stay.
[47:57]We'll leave early.
[48:00]We'll leave early.
[47:59]Just let us stay.
[48:02]So they stay.
[48:02]And then that evening when he comes home.
[48:06]He finds that there is somebody in the house.
[48:08]He hears something.
[48:10]He opens the door.
[48:11]What does he say?
[48:12]What does he see?
[48:12]He sees there are two children that are hiding in the smaller
[48:17]room.
[48:18]Who are you both?
[48:17]Will you give us Aman?
[48:21]Yes, I'll give you Aman.
[48:22]Do you promise on God and his prophet?
[48:24]Yes, I promise on God and his prophet.
[48:27]Do you make God and his prophet be shahid?
[48:30]Be witness and the mala be a witness that you say this.
[48:32]He says, yes, all of them are witness.
[48:34]Now tell me who you are.
[48:37]We are the sons of Muslim.
[48:39]As soon as he says that, as soon as they say that,
[48:42]it is said that he ties them both to a pole in
[48:47]the house.
[48:46]It says, "Tomorrow I shall take them to Iben Zad, 1,000 for
[48:52]each of them.
[48:54]Each head is worth a thousand dirham and I will give him
[48:57]two heads." Now what does he do?
[49:00]He ties them in the middle of the night.
[49:01]They cry.
[49:02]They say, "Look, just let us go.
[49:03]Sell us if you have to.
[49:06]If you want to, do not kill us." He says, "No, tomorrow
[49:08]I'll behead you by the farad." He says, "No, don't behead us.
[49:13]Why don't you, if you must, then take us to Iban Ziad.
[49:15]Let him decide our fate.
[49:18]And the day when in the day next morning he takes them
[49:21]by far.
[49:22]You know when you go to the graves of mus when you
[49:26]go to the grave of the sons of Muslimn you find that
[49:30]there are two graves there two small graves.
[49:32]Some of you are lucky to go underneath under the ground to
[49:36]the original graves.
[49:35]When you go there you see there are two small graves.
[49:40]It shows you how small these two children were.
[49:41]Now imagine you know when somebody is even slaughtering an animal the
[49:47]children cannot take it.
[49:47]Imagine one brother gets slaughtered in front of the other brother.
[49:52]Allah I leave you with this final point.
[49:54]One brother in front of the other.
[49:58]The older one says behead me first.
[50:00]He's too young.
[49:59]He beheads the first one and he throws the body into the
[50:05]river.
[50:06]And then he beheads the second one and he throws the body
[50:08]into the river.
[50:09]Do you know what the Maktal says?
[50:11]that the first body waits in the river.
[50:14]It does not flow.
[50:14]It does not float away.
[50:18]Usually the bodies float but miraculously the first body stays there until
[50:22]the second body is thrown.
[50:23]Now the Maktal says they embrace one another and they go in
[50:29]and they are floating away.
[50:30]The sons of Muslim Muslim be they be they in Kbala or
[50:36]be they in Kufa.
[50:39]It is said after Ash when the caravan of Imam Sajad and
[50:46]BB Zanab was taken to Kufa the widow of Muslim Akil was
[50:49]amongst them.
[50:51]When she comes to the gate of Kufa she looks up what
[50:53]does she see?
[50:55]She sees the head of Muslim Akil on the city on the
[51:00]door of the city.
[50:59]When Muslim was killed, he was beheaded.
[51:02]His head was put on the door of Kufa.
[51:05]That whoever entered the city, they would see that this is what
[51:11]Zad does to his enemies.
[51:12]Now imagine when the widow of Muslim saw the head of Muslim.
[51:16]It is said she looks at the head of Muslim and she
[51:20]says, "Oh Muslim, two of my sons were killed in Kbala, but
[51:26]when you left, you took my two other sons.
[51:27]Where are my sons, oh Muslim?
[51:30]I say, oh Muslim, you are Muslim and your sons are Muslim.
[51:35]But oh Muslim, you were not there to see how they beheaded
[51:41]your sons.
[51:42]But ask the mothers in Kbala.
[51:45]Ask Rubab when they pierced the neck of Aliar.
[51:50]Ask Rouab when they slapped the cheeks of Sakina.
[51:54]Ask Leila when they brought the body of Ali Akbar.
[52:02]Ask when they trampled the body of Kim.
