[0:00][Applause] [Music] respected brothers and sisters our gateway to Allah subhanahu waala

[0:31]is Dua if we want to reach Allah then Allah is very

[0:37]close all we have to do is call on him and he

[0:42]answers us and Allah subhana tala he ordered orders Us in the

[0:46]Quran to always do Dua Allah said do Dua Call on Me

[0:53]Do prayers ask me whatever you want and Allah in return has

[1:00]promised to answer our duas call on me ask me your your

[1:06]wishes your needs and I will answer you I will give you

[1:08]what you need but what we notice many times is that we

[1:14]ask God but he doesn't give us he rejects us we ask

[1:19]him Ya Allah I want this I want for example money I

[1:21]want you to send me a spouse I want this job I

[1:26]want this you know opportunity I want uh to be chosen to

[1:33]be for example uh in this interview I want you to give

[1:36]me children and none of that is happening so many times what

[1:41]we notice is we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for certain things

[1:45]but he doesn't give us what we need what's the problem here

[1:48]why number one we believe Allah is all knowing so you can't

[1:54]say maybe Allah can't hear you he doesn't know what you want

[1:56]no Allah knows everything we read in Dua yesterday we read in

[2:04]and the rest of the nights [Music] of even if I stay

[2:18]if I just think it Allah knows what I'm thinking so Allah

[2:20]knows what I want that's number one number two Allah is omnipotent

[3:53]Allah doesn't give us now there are many aspects about this to

[3:59]speak about but tonight tonight I want to speak about one aspect

[4:02]and that according to our we understand that most of our Dua

[4:09]most of our wishes are accepted but we just don't realize it

[4:14]why because Allah answers our duas in numerous ways in various ways

[4:19]sometimes we're not aware of how he's giving us what we want

[4:25]and that's why we consider it a rejection what do I mean

[4:27]you see there are three ways in which Allah giv gives us

[4:33]what we want the first way is the traditional way that we

[4:36]want you ask Allah for something Allah directly gives you that when

[4:40]you want it yeah Allah by next week I want $5,000 you

[4:45]make that wish the first way that Allah gives you what you

[4:50]want is that he gives you $5,000 when you ask for it

[4:52]this way is the way we consider as an acceptance we say

[4:57]Allah gave me what I want but there are also two other

[4:59]ways that Allah accepts our Dua and answers us but we consider

[5:06]them as rejection they're not rejection we consider them as rejection Allah

[5:11]considers them as I gave you what you needed the second way

[5:16]is that Allah subhana he may postpone the answer to my Dua

[5:19]I ask Allah something I see I don't get it I say

[5:22]oh Allah rejected me why Allah didn't reject me he's postponing it

[5:25]why is he postponing it I'll get to that in a minute

[5:30]and number three sometimes we ask for certain things Allah subhanahu wa

[5:35]taala doesn't give me exactly what I want he gives me something

[5:38]better but I'm blinded I do not see that thing which is

[5:41]better that Allah gave me and then I consider this as a

[5:46]rejection and I'll speak about that so we begin with the second

[5:49]type we said that sometimes Allah subhana wa ta'ala he postpones our

[5:55]duas the answer to our duas and Allah gives us an answer

[6:01]of an example of that in the Quran Allah tells us the

[6:04]story of M M he made a Dua in the Quran Allah

[6:07]mentions the Dua of M he requested something from Allah what did

[6:11]he request from Allah the Holy Quran says M told Allah Ya

[6:30]Allah you gave gave far so much power so much wealth and

[6:33]he's misusing that he's misguiding human beings with that far used to

[6:39]claim to be God he's telling Allah Ya Allah you're so tolerant

[6:42]with him and then M made a Dua what did he say

[6:47]he said he told Allah Ya Allah and his people will never

[7:02]believe that's not worth trying Ya Allah destroy take his money away

[7:06]and destroy him so he made a Dua this is a prophet

[7:10]of God a prophet of God you would assume that when he

[7:12]asked something right away Allah would give him yes no he made

[7:17]that Dua in the next verse Allah tells him this he tells

[7:24]him Allah says your Dua has been answered your Dua oh mus

[7:32]has been answered but when was it answered tomorrow the next day

[7:35]a week a month a year after that the of says subh

[7:52]you know he says he says when Allah said your Dua will

[7:59]be answered do you know how many years after that Allah answered

[8:02]the Dua of m 40 years after M was killed 40 years

[8:08]after so M raised his hands he told ya Allah destroy Allah

[8:11]said okay Allah didn't reject him he said I will give you

[8:15]what you need but how many years after did he destroy far

[8:17]40 years after and yet Allah considers this as what as I

[8:27]gave him his Dua I gave him what he wanted this was

[8:31]not a rejection and that's why the IM he says sometimes when

[8:34]you ask something from Allah you have to have patience you think

[8:40]Allah rejected you Allah didn't reject you Allah is just postponing the

[8:45]answer now why is he postponing why doesn't he just give me

[8:48]what I want now four reasons reason number one sometimes Allah wants

[8:52]to test my faith you see there are certain individuals as long

[8:58]as life is going easy easy comfortable Allah gives him everything that

[9:03]he wants he worships Allah he comes to the Masid alhamdulillah but

[9:09]as soon as the going gets tough as soon as there are

[9:14]some problem in problems in his life he's not doing so good

[9:17]in his business he Lo loses a family member as soon as

[9:22]that happens he begins to what he begins to complain he begins

[9:25]to go far from Allah subhanahu wa taala as long as he's

[9:28]comfortable he worships Allah but as soon as life becomes tough he

[9:35]goes far from Allah the Holy Quran speaks about these individuals Allah

[9:43]says there are certain individuals that worship Allah conditionally means conditionally under

[9:51]certain circumstances and conditions they worship Allah not unconditionally as long as

[10:01]good is happening to him life is comfortable the family is good

[10:05]the job is good the economy is good he says alhamdulillah he

[10:07]worships Allah but then the Quran says but as soon as there

[10:20]are some problems in his life when Allah begins to try him

[10:23]with problems then what then right away he begins to complain he

[10:28]goes far from Allah and at times may God for forbid this

[10:31]leads us to disbelieving in Allah do you know how many individuals

[10:37]disbelieve in Allah they reject God why because there is not enough

[10:42]proof for the existence of God no there's enough proof do you

[10:49]know why because they came across a problem which they could not

[10:52]bear and they want to blame on God and they disbelieve in

[10:58]God the number one leading factor to atheism today is what is

[11:01]problems when a person has a problem his father dies his wife

[11:08]dies her son dies her uncle dies her brother dies we can't

[11:12]handle it we can't handle the test of Allah we disbel in

[11:16]Allah subhana wa tala this person's Iman is very shallow this person

[11:20]only believes and worships on Allah he only worships Allah as long

[11:25]as everything's okay good he does not submit unconditionally to Allah a

[11:31]true servant of Allah is one that submits always to Allah I

[11:35]know certain individuals you'll only see him at the Masjid if his

[11:39]business is doing good as soon as his business goes down you

[11:44]don't see him anymore so how do I know if his business

[11:45]is doing good if I see him in the Masjid I know

[11:48]he's alhamd he's making good money when I miss him one week

[11:50]I don't see him a few weeks I know there's something it's

[11:54]not preventing him it's not like he's busy no he just feels

[11:56]he doesn't feel like coming to the Masjid when he's not making

[12:02]enough money such people they stipulate on Allah their conditions Ya Allah

[12:06]I'll worship you as long as you give me do you think

[12:08]this person is a submitting servant of Allah I must slave a

[12:13]servant of Allah I have to submit at all times if I

[12:17]just want to submit when Allah gives me that means I'm an

[12:20]opportunist correct as long as you give me more and more I'll

[12:26]come or else I don't want you some people this is how

[13:07]them and takes away some of those bounties to test their faith

[13:09]they run away from Allah they reject Allah they tell Allah yeah

[13:13]Allah I don't want you anymore this person's Iman is very shallow

[13:18]if he only wants to believe if he has a wavering mind

[13:20]I'll only believe in Allah I'll only come to the Masjid I'll

[13:25]only be a practicing Muslim as long as everything is good a

[13:30]true m is one that always chooses Allah whether it is for

[13:38]him or against him the of IM he says that he says

[13:45]because I always side with the H the truth I lost all

[13:49]my friends because our friends can't handle the truth sometimes they want

[13:52]you to be what biased they want you to do sometimes wrong

[13:54]things they want you to side with them even if they are

[14:03]them because they did something wrong they don't want to be your

[14:06]friends anymore they want you to always befriend them and take their

[14:24]my life because everyone wants you to be biased and take their

[15:02]is the individual that always says the truth even if the truth

[15:05]is against him sometimes telling the truth will hurt me it will

[15:11]hurt my personal interests correct doesn't matter I don't care the truth

[15:16]comes before my personal interests not my personal interests come and then

[15:20]the truth if the truth was with my personal interest then that's

[15:23]good if not sorry my personal interest will get the advantage this

[15:26]is not a Believer this is not a true m and unfortunately

[15:31]one example I have seen in the communities of this of individuals

[15:37]not being fair and not siding with the truth even if it's

[15:40]against them you see sometimes when there's fights between people like two

[15:44]brothers they have a dispute in their business or a wife and

[15:49]husband they have a dispute before they get a divorce or any

[15:51]two individuals what do they do they come to the Sheikh they

[15:56]come to the say I've heard many stories of this they come

[15:58]and they seek his what help they tell him we have a

[16:03]problem we want you to be the judge so the say the

[16:06]he looks in like in the situation and he according to his

[16:09]judgment he believes one of them is right and the other is

[16:11]wrong there's no bias or anything so he tells them I believe

[16:15]you're right you're the wrong one as soon as he says that

[16:17]the person who the say or the she said that you're wrong

[16:23]what does he say I say did this guy give you some

[16:27]money before this did he buy you did he pay you a

[16:30]bride he begins to what he begins to insult the say and

[16:32]the he begins to call him names you're biased just because he

[16:38]did not say I'm right it's all about me being selfish I've

[16:43]seen so many individuals they attack a certain say or all over

[16:48]the world they attack him just because of personal re just because

[16:52]he did not side with me it's not about it's all about

[16:56]me as long as he's with me if he would have sided

[19:02]him what's the small one he tells him congratulations your pot delivered

[19:10]sense but it doesn't matter because I'm getting an extra pot correct

[19:13]someone sends you in the mail extra pot and tells you your

[19:17]pot delivered you're not going to say this is wrong because you're

[19:19]getting an a free pot so this man tells him alhamdulillah thank

[19:24]you so much he doesn't complain he doesn't object a few days

[19:29]later Jas smart he tells him can I borrow your pot another

[19:32]time he gives him the big pot he was supposed to return

[19:38]at the next day doesn't show up the Guy waits few days

[19:40]and then he goes to J's house where's my pot why didn't

[19:44]you give me back my pot he tells him oh you didn't

[19:45]hear I'm so sorry I give you condolences your pot died and

[19:52]I buried it so the guy says are you kidding me it's

[19:55]not even a living thing how can it die you Thief you

[19:58]this all the sudden it's not a living thing when it delivered

[20:01]a baby it was a living thing so tells him when I

[20:05]told you it gave a baby you didn't object now that I

[20:10]told you it died you object this is how many of us

[20:11]are as long as I'm happy as long as it's for my

[20:15]personal benefits I never complain I don't care who my is who

[20:20]the who the it's all good but as soon as it's against

[20:22]my personal interests this is what this is when that person becomes

[20:25]evil this is when that becomes not knowledgeable this is when my

[20:31]friend becomes my enemy when my brother and sisters become my enemies

[20:36]this person has no fairness it's all about selfishness and what goes

[20:42]under this my friends is being fair one of the qualities of

[20:46]a mmin is that he's always fair with other individuals you see

[20:49]there are certain people in the society they're not fair they expect

[20:55]from you more than you expect from from them I know certain

[21:00]people in the community they are so high demanding you have to

[21:06]respect them you they're so sensitive when I came in did he

[21:11]get up for me did he say Salam did he call me

[21:12]they're so sensitive but at the same sign they don't care about

[21:18]other people they're so unsensitive with other people you have to call

[21:21]him you have to get up for him he won't get up

[21:23]for you he won't call you when you want to invite him

[21:27]you have to call him five times send him five text messages

[21:29]five emails when he wants to invite you he won't even tell

[21:31]you he'll tell someone to tell you these people are the worst

[21:36]people in the society why because they're so hard to deal with

[21:39]they're always getting upset for the smallest reason and at the same

[21:41]time they're not that they're not like that with other people with

[21:47]other people's feelings they're so careless but with their feelings no the

[21:52]smallest thing he'll make a big deal out of it fine if

[21:54]you want to be sensitive with your feelings be sensitive with other

[21:57]people's feelings too too you can't expect to be sensitive people to

[22:02]be sensitive with your feelings and they have to always be careful

[22:04]but you don't care about I know some people that are like

[22:06]they have absolutely no insa in the Arabic language this is called

[22:10]insa and there's a Hadith from the IM about this he says

[22:21]he said let me tell you what's one of the most difficult

[22:25]tasks that Allah has asked us to do this is very difficult

[22:28]and then he says one of them is to have ins being

[22:34]fair with others treat other people just like how you try to

[22:37]like to be treated I remember I was reading one of the

[22:41]books that were written by President Obama I think it was his

[22:43]autobiography and I read in one chapter he says that he speaks

[22:50]about the religion of Islam and he says there is one quote

[22:53]from the prophet of Islam that I truly liked and he said

[22:57]I believe this truly summarizes the beauty of Islam what is it

[23:01]he said thei of where he said the holy prophet he summarized

[23:17]all manners and in one sentence you want to be a good

[23:20]mannered person person that has good just do this make yourself the

[23:25]scale between you and others and how you treat others whatever you

[23:29]like for yourself like it for other people you like people to

[23:32]respect you respect people too whatever you hate for yourself hate it

[23:38]for others there's some things that they are annoying correct to me

[23:41]but I do it to other people this is wrong if only

[23:46]every human being applied this Hadith there'd be so much peace in

[23:48]this world there would be no problems because most of the problems

[23:50]rise because of un because of selfish individuals because they infringe on

[23:56]other people's rights just go look at the problems between a husband

[23:59]and wife the husband he expects so much from his wife but

[24:04]what but he does nothing for for her or it's the other

[24:06]way around she expects so much from him she expects him to

[24:10]spend and take her out and do this and that but she

[24:12]doesn't do anything so if we're fair with each other if I

[24:17]give as much as I expect to take there will be so

[24:22]much less problems in the community it's all because of the selfishness

[24:24]that we have that you see all these problems so this my

[24:29]dear brothers and sisters is the first reason why Allah sometimes postpones

[24:32]the answer to my Dua he's not rejecting me he just wants

[24:37]what he wants me to be patient he wants to see if

[24:40]I postpone the answer to his that will he complain disbelieve reject

[24:45]or not that's why Allah is trying us he's testing my patience

[24:49]and that's why we have to always what be patient with Allah

[24:52]maybe he's trying me maybe he's testing me so have patience and

[24:58]Allah says in the Holy Quran Allah the those that are patient

[25:05]in the end it's worth it he will give them their without

[25:08]without counting it he won't say oh you did good de good

[25:13]10 Good Deeds I'll give you 10ab 10 rewards he'll give you

[25:16]without even counting if I am a patient one and Ramadan is

[25:21]all about patience remember we fast it teaches us patient yes for

[25:24]16 17 18 hours we can eat while there's food in your

[25:27]fridge it's not like we don't have money to eat it's not

[25:30]like we don't have food we have food it's in the fridge

[25:31]it's all ready but what but we're being patient for Allah correct

[25:36]why am I not eating I'm hungry what's preventing me from eating

[25:39]my patience for Allah subhana wa tala so in that same way

[25:44]we have to what to learn to be patient when we ask

[25:47]Allah for what we need this is the first reason the second

[25:52]reason why Allah subhana wa tala he postpones the answers to our

[25:56]Dua sometimes is because Allah sometimes he likes hearing hearing our voice

[26:01]theith of the IM says when a he begins to ask Allah

[26:06]Ya Allah give me this Ya Allah give me that Allah tells

[26:08]his angel don't give him what he wants wait I want to

[26:12]hear more of his beautiful voice because if Allah gives me right

[26:15]away I'm not going to ask anymore hell else I'm going to

[26:18]go and enjoy what he gave me correct but when Allah keeps

[26:20]you you know when there's hope he keeps you asking you're going

[26:25]to ask more and more and more Allah tells the angel this

[26:27]is a voice that I love to hear don't give him just

[26:30]now wait a week wait a month I want to hear his

[26:32]beautiful voice and then the Hadith says and when a person which

[26:38]Allah hates he's a disbeliever or he's a f he's a person

[26:40]which Allah doesn't love when he asks Allah tells the angel quickly

[26:45]give him what he asked because I don't want to hear his

[26:47]voice I hate his voice and then the Imam says but people

[26:51]they look at it the opposite the person that get gets what

[26:53]he need what he asked for right away the people they say

[26:57]oh this man must have been a a real Pious man he

[26:58]asked and Allah gave him right away and the poor guy that

[27:02]Allah didn't give him yet maybe he's done a sin maybe Allah

[27:04]doesn't love him it's the exact opposite Allah because he loves you

[27:09]he doesn't he didn't give you because he wants to hear your

[27:11]voice so ask always ask there's a story about this that's narrated

[27:16]about ibraim Prophet ibraim the Hadith says that he was walking byus

[27:23]in Palestine one day he comes across a tall man so he

[27:26]speaks with him and after that when they want to end the

[27:31]the conversation ibraim says let's ask Allah you know to bless us

[27:34]and prolong our lives and and give us good so this man

[27:36]says no I will never ask Allah for anything anymore Abrahim tells

[27:41]him why he said because for 3 years I've been asking Allah

[27:43]for something he hasn't been giving me what he want what I

[27:47]want I will never ask Allah Allah has rejected me if he

[27:49]doesn't like me if he doesn't love me then why should I

[27:53]ask so ibraim the Hadith says he tells him no don't rush

[27:55]to conclusions if Allah has what if Allah has has postponed you

[28:00]it may be because Allah loves hearing your voice maybe Allah just

[28:03]loves hearing your voice he wants you to ask and ask and

[28:05]ask again and then ibraim tells him what was your ha that

[28:10]you asked for three years he says for three years I've been

[28:11]asking Allah I want to see his KH I want to see

[28:34]Dua because he wants to hear our voices and you can and

[28:36]you could relate that to how we treat our children sometimes my

[28:41]young son he comes and tells me Baba I want you to

[28:42]buy me a toy and you know he asks he asks with

[28:45]his cute nice voice you tell him what he asks you again

[28:48]you keep on what you keep on teasing him you ask him

[28:50]what like five times because you want to hear him speak correct

[28:54]you enjoy it after four or five times they come and hit

[28:56]you because they lose patience this is how we are with Allah

[29:03]Allah loves to hear my voice so let's look at the Dua

[29:05]in this way that if Allah postponed the answer to my Dua

[29:08]it may be because he what he loves hearing my voice and

[29:11]that's why amongst the etiquette of a Dua if you go to

[29:15]the there are etiquet how to do Dua there's special ways like

[29:17]remember I mentioned a few nights ago one good way to do

[29:21]Dua is to ask other people to do Dua for you the

[29:22]Hadith says amongst the ad the etiquette of a Dua is what

[29:28]insist don't just ask once some people yeah Allah give me this

[29:33]give me a wife Allah didn't send him he' be no ask

[29:35]1,000 times ask a million times because maybe Allah loves hearing your

[29:40]voice so if you stop Allah I won't hear your voice anymore

[29:44]so ask again and again and again maybe Allah says after 100

[29:49]times I'll give him just like medicine sometimes just one pill isn't

[29:52]enough you need to take it 10 days 100 days 50 days

[29:54]whatever correct Allah sometimes our Dua is just like that if you

[29:59]want it to be effective ask a few times five times 10

[30:00]times 100 times I know some people they always ask every single

[30:05]day what's the problem it doesn't mean Allah is rejecting me so

[30:08]this is reason number what this is reason number two reason number

[30:13]three why Allah subhanahu wa taala he may postpone the answer to

[30:20]our Dua is because of our sins sometimes we raise our hands

[30:25]we ask Allah Ya Allah give me such but then we go

[30:29]in sin we disobey Allah the Hadith says Allah tells his Angel

[30:32]this guy he asked me and then he has the nerve to

[30:38]go and disobey me he has no shame you just asked me

[30:42]to help you to send you and then you go and disobey

[30:44]me but yet Allah is so kind he doesn't say I won't

[30:48]give him the Hadith says I will postpone it to teach him

[30:53]a lesson next time don't disobey me and then ask me so

[30:56]Allah says he tells the angel let this this person wait let

[31:01]this person wait and maybe one month maybe one year Allah subhana

[31:04]wa tala he may postpone the answer to my Dua because of

[31:06]one sin that I did so we have to be extra careful

[31:08]if I am sinning left and right and I say Allah is

[31:13]not answering my Dua it's my fault it's rude that we sin

[31:15]and sin and sin and I spoke about that one night and

[31:18]then we expect Allah right away when I ask Allah right away

[31:20]he answered this is rude this is not being fair remember we

[31:24]said we have to be fair treat others like how you like

[31:25]to be treated if someone comes and begs you for money and

[31:29]then you give him money and then one minute after he swears

[31:31]at you or he hits you how rude is that will you

[31:35]ever give this person anymore so if this is how I am

[31:39]then why do I expect Allah to give me even if I

[31:40]am disobeying him I have to be fair with Allah subhanahu waala

[31:45]and then my dear brothers and sisters this is number three I

[31:51]believe so number one we said Allah sometimes he postpones the answer

[31:53]to our Dua for what so that he tests our faith sometimes

[31:56]because he he loves to hear our voice he wants us to

[32:00]ask more that's why he's delaying it number three we said because

[32:03]of our sins number four sometimes Allah postpones the answer to our

[32:09]Dua because it's not the right time how many times we ask

[32:14]something for Allah yeah Allah I need it now Allah gives it

[32:16]to you later why does he give it to you later because

[32:20]he knows now it's not the right time Allah knows the future

[32:22]correct he knows if he gave it to you now either you

[32:26]would misuse it you won't benefit from it or it would be

[32:31]taken from you Allah Waits until the right time when the right

[32:34]time comes this is when he gives it to we don't know

[32:38]when the right time is right I say yeah Allah I want

[32:39]to get married next week and it has to be next week

[32:42]I need this job now how do you know this is good

[32:46]for you maybe this will be your worst nightmare and that's why

[32:51]we read in Du it's so beautiful we read every night when

[32:57]I ask you for something and when you don't answer me right

[33:02]away when you delay it I begin to complain to you because

[33:05]of my ignorance and it may be that you delayed the answer

[33:14]to my Dua because there was wisdom behind that because it was

[33:19]better for me because you know the future you know what's good

[33:21]for me you know and everything you know when when it comes

[33:24]before it's time we won't appreciate it we won't understand it we

[33:29]won't value it so Allah subhana T is waiting for the right

[33:32]time how many stories have you read of people that missed their

[33:36]flights and then that flight was you know it crashed I read

[33:42]one story about the the Pan-American flight that crashed I don't know

[33:46]maybe 20 years ago or something like that over I think it

[33:51]was Ireland or UK I read amongst the passengers was an indianamerican

[33:54]man he was an Indian man originally from India I think it

[33:58]was from from New York or something and he came late he

[34:04]arrived late to the airport and uh you know they didn't let

[34:06]him on the plane he talked to them they finally let him

[34:10]until the last second they found there's a problem with his ticket

[34:12]they told him sorry can he was so irritated he had to

[34:16]go on that flight he he made a big deal he made

[34:19]a big scene there he started yelling he started screaming he goes

[34:23]home they we'll put you on the next flight he goes home

[34:25]the next day he he turns on the TV he sees that

[34:28]same fly that he was killing himself to go on crashed how

[34:32]do you think this man felt well and it may be that

[34:40]when Allah delays something for you because there's a reason behind that

[34:43]delay and that's why anytime this is how this is my personal

[34:45]perspective anytime I'm stuck in traffic I'm late for something I say

[34:49]inshallah there's wisdom behind this who knows if I'm speeding and I

[34:53]maybe I'll get into a car accident maybe Allah is using this

[34:55]traffic to what to protect me who knows so anytime there's a

[35:00]delay when it's not my fault sometimes the delay is my fault

[35:03]I mean if you uh don't put an alarm and you you

[35:07]don't wake up and you go you know late to work that's

[35:08]your fault you can't blame it on God but sometimes when it's

[35:12]out of your hands the delay there may be good in that

[35:15]delay when you ask Allah subh T and he delays it it's

[35:20]for your own good Allah says that Allah subhana says [Music] that

[35:28]maybe you love something but it's bad for you and you hate

[35:32]something but it's good for you because we can't see the future

[35:34]we can't see the full picture we only look at everything at

[35:40]from one angle so this is what so this is reason number

[35:43]um four I believe yes so remember we said when we began

[35:48]the lecture we said Allah answers our duas in three ways number

[35:51]one he gives you what you want right away this is what

[35:54]we consider as Allah accepted my Dua and then we said there's

[35:56]two other ways that we consider as a reject it's not a

[36:01]reject we said the second way is he postpones the answer to

[36:03]our Dua and we mentioned four reasons for why Allah postpones the

[36:06]answer to my Dua and then number three the third way in

[36:12]which Allah answers our duas and we also consider as a reject

[36:16]is that Allah doesn't give you what you want he gives you

[36:20]something else something much better but because I'm so blinded at my

[36:24]you know they say in Arabic there's a poem that says when

[36:29]you have a you become blind all you see is your all

[36:32]you see is what you want you become blinded Allah send you

[36:35]something better you never saw it you were asking Allah for this

[36:39]job Allah sent you another job but you couldn't see it because

[36:42]you had all your concentration was on that job Allah said I

[36:44]sent you something better but you never accepted you asked for for

[36:49]example a wife with these conditions some brothers they come say I

[36:52]want a wife with you know with these conditions I want her

[36:53]to have this type of hair this type of eyes I want

[36:56]her to know how to cook these types of food so much

[36:58]conditions if those conditions are not met in that wife he doesn't

[37:03]want her Allah maybe he sends her a wife he sends him

[37:05]a wife that's much better she may not have some of these

[37:08]qualities but she has better qualities he considers that as a reject

[37:11]why do you consider that as a reject Allah gave you what's

[37:16]better for you Allah knows what's good for me so that's why

[37:19]we have to always ask Allah to choose what's best for me

[37:24]you see there are people that sit and tell Allah what to

[37:25]give them I want to like this and this I want a

[37:29]job with these qualities no ask Allah Ya Allah you know what's

[37:31]best for me correct he knows what's best for me better than

[37:34]me he's my Creator ask him Ya Allah give me whatever is

[37:39]best for me whether it's this job it's that job it's this

[37:44]wife that wife whether it's doing this doing doesn't matter the point

[37:47]is that give me what pleases you what's better in your eyes

[37:52]not in my eyes so sometimes Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala he gives us

[37:57]something something better but we just don't see it we're blinded by

[38:01]it and finally listen to this Hadith beautiful Hadith of he says

[38:13]any Muslim that answers Allah while he has not break broke his

[38:20]ties with his family members he has not done anytime we ask

[38:29]Allah for something he'll give you at least one of these three

[38:31]number one he'll give you what you want right away which we

[38:38]consider as the acceptance the number one Allah May postpone it until

[38:45]the he says I will give you what you want but not

[38:47]now I'll give it to you in the it's much better for

[38:53]you or Allah he may what he may keep harm away from

[38:58]you I ask Allah for something Allah may not necessarily give me

[39:01]that because there's no good in that he'll give me something else

[39:05]he'll what he'll Pro prolong my life he'll keep me protected from

[39:07]a harm That was supposed to come and finally look at this

[39:10]beautiful Hadith of IM he says he says on the day of

[39:21]judgment Allah subh will come to give us our to punish or

[39:26]reward us Allah he tells us he'll show us a huge reward

[39:30]he tells us do you know what this is for so we

[39:35]tell him no I don't know I don't remember doing such a

[39:39]good act do you remember during that night you asked me Allah

[39:47]give me money give me give me whatever something for the Dy

[39:49]yes I remember you rejected me we thought Allah rejected me Allah

[39:55]says I did not reject you I saved it for you till

[39:58]this day because this is the day in which it will benefit

[40:01]you the most if Allah gives you some money in the Dy

[40:05]a few years and then you die and leave it the most

[40:06]day in which I will be in need is the day of

[40:09]judgment Allah saves the answer till that day because it's more beneficial

[40:13]for you he sees the reward is so great he says Ya

[40:26]Allah I wish you would not have answered any of my duas

[40:30]in the D I wish you would have saved all of them

[40:32]for the and then we look at it in the other way

[40:33]we say oh Allah if you don't if you didn't give me

[40:36]now I'll consider this as a reject Allah is saving it for

[40:40]you till the next life and when we see how great the

[40:42]reward it is for one Dua if Allah decides to delay it

[40:47]till the next life till the day of judgment we will say

[40:51]I wish all my Dua were delayed all the answers to my

[40:55]daas were delayed but we have to what we have to to

[40:58]have that submission to Allah subhah wa ta'ala and we have to

[41:03]have that patience just because Allah subhanahu wa taal he delays doesn't

[41:07]mean he's rejecting me does it mean he doesn't love me no

[41:10]he said Musa was delayed 40 years and he was a prophet

[41:15]of Allah subhanahu waala so if we change our perspective and we

[41:18]look at Dua and the answers to our duas in this way

[41:23]we will realize that probably all our duas are answered maybe all

[41:27]of them but it just depends on how we look at it

[41:30]we have to have patience and maybe Allah wants to delay it

[41:35]till the next life or maybe he will give me something else

[41:40]that's much greater than what I am asking for so we have

[41:42]to be patient with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and we have to

[41:47]always ask Allah to give us what's best what's you know the

[41:53]best of our interest without stipulating and without putting conditions and without

[41:56]defining and asking Allah to you know give it at a specific

[42:02]time tell Allah give me whatever is best for me at the

[42:03]right time Allah knows what's best for me and Allah knows when

[42:08]is the best time for me with this brothers and sisters I

[42:13]ask Allah subhah wa ta'ala to give us the patience and the

[42:16]understanding that we can have this perspective with our duas with Allah

[42:20]subhana wa tala I ask him to inshallah answer all our duas

[42:26]but in the way that he seems appropriate I ask him to

[42:31]give us the ability that we accept the will of Allah subhah

[42:34]wa ta'ala I ask him to accept oural during this blessed month

[42:38]of Ramadan accept our Salat our our [Music] fasting
