[0:00][Applause] [Music] Muhammad respected brothers and sisters one of the greatest aspects

[0:45]of the religion of Islam is its Mercy Islam is a merciful

[0:49]peaceful and tolerant religion but how unfortunate it is that Islam Today

[0:53]has become the icon of violence Islam is associated with terrorism and

[0:58]violence and that you find many non-muslims they have so much Negative

[1:03]they have so much negative views and sentiments towards Islam to them

[1:07]Islam represents terrorism they will tell you that Islam promotes terrorism it's

[1:14]Islam is intertwined with terrorism and Islam is coherently evil and from

[1:19]time to time when we see these crimes that are committed in

[1:22]the name of Islam they will tell you see this is proof

[1:24]to what we say that Islam is an evil religion and it

[1:29]promotes Terror it most violent and that's why you have all these

[1:32]violent Muslims that are committing these crimes in the name of Islam

[1:36]and you find there are a few factors that contribute to this

[1:42]the first factor is these extremists these criminals that are committing these

[1:46]crimes in the name of Islam most of who are uneducated individuals

[1:52]people who have not studied Islam and they use Islam as a

[1:58]pretext as an excuse use to cover up their crimes they want

[2:03]to perform a crime and they need an excuse a justification so

[2:06]they do it in the name of Islam they do it in

[2:10]the name of Allah subhanahu waala just like what we witnessed during

[2:13]the beginning of the month of Ramadan what happened in Orlando initially

[2:18]it was reported that this man's motive was what was Islam was

[2:21]he was a radical Muslim and he did it for his religion

[2:26]but gradually we began to understand that this man had personal problems

[2:30]with some individuals there and he likewise was gay and to what

[2:36]and in order to clear that Grudge that he had against those

[2:42]individuals he used Islam as a pretext it's a perfect justification I

[2:47]want to kill innocent human beings because I have personal problems with

[2:51]them then blame it on Islam and be seen as a hero

[2:55]in the in the eyes of some uneducated also extremists so that's

[2:59]number one number two you have the media that's always what that's

[3:06]always concentrating on this propaganda that Islam is a religion of Terror

[3:10]and they're always speaking about these radical Muslims and trying to tie

[3:15]these crimes to Islam and I remember for example there was once

[3:19]an individual that that was speaking on Fox News who is one

[3:23]of the most biased and you know uh channels that that always

[3:29]are filling uh you know their filling the the hearts of individuals

[3:34]that watch it with with anger and hatred against Islam I remember

[3:38]he said on Fox news that not all maybe many of you

[3:43]have have seen this it was a very famous clip he said

[3:44]not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims and they

[3:51]have many shows about radical Islam and they're always trying to instill

[3:55]fear in American people's hearts against Islam and likewise you have certain

[3:58]politicians who are always trying to tie Islam to terrorism like Trump

[4:05]and you see anytime there is such an act right away they

[4:09]try to seize the opportunity to what to tie it to Islam

[4:14]so that they can gain their po political goals in games it's

[4:17]all about their political interests so you find this is a second

[4:22]factor and a third factor is that some non-muslims they have misunderstood

[4:29]some verses of the Quran sometimes they open the Quran they read

[4:33]certain verses that they don't interpret correct that they don't understand in

[4:37]the correct way and thus based on their understanding they think that

[4:41]Islam what is a violent religion and likewise when they study the

[4:45]history of rol our Prophet they say that your Prophet was also

[4:50]violent so it's because of all the these three reasons that today

[4:53]you find Islam has such a Negative view in the eyes of

[4:58]many non-muslims it has it is seen as a religion of Terror

[5:01]a religion of violence and that's why tonight and for the next

[5:04]few nights and especially in the wake of what happened in the

[5:08]month of Ramadan the beginning of the month in Orlando I see

[5:12]that it is vital and necessary that we have to educate ourselves

[5:14]my friends we have to educate ourselves about our religion it's no

[5:19]longer acceptable it's no longer enough for us to rely on the

[5:24]scholars it's no longer enough for us to say I'll go ask

[5:26]the Sheikh because we are being asked on a daily basis by

[5:31]our non-muslim friends our non-muslim co-workers the students that study with me

[5:35]in the in the in the school in the university is really

[5:37]Islam does really Islam promote this terrorism is it really a violent

[5:41]religion and thus we have to educate ourselves before I can give

[5:49]them the answer I have to educate myself first the says every

[5:55]single one of you has a what an obligation towards Allah I

[6:14]propaganda that exist against our faith and religion when it is looked

[6:28]of Americans they believe that Isis represent Islam why because of those

[6:33]factors that we said who is confronting those three factors who is

[6:36]the one that is speaking for Islam and saying that no this

[6:40]is not right it has to be every single one of us

[6:44]my friends it is the obligation of all of us Allah will

[6:45]ask me on the day of judgment I brought you especially most

[6:50]of us that we either migrated to this country or we are

[6:54]the second generation third fourth generation of migrants Allah says I brought

[6:58]you to this country I gave you wealth wealth I gave you

[7:01]security I gave you Prosperity I gave you success what did you

[7:03]give back did you at least defend Islam when you see Islam

[7:09]was being attacked and falsely accused you were you you didn't even

[7:12]take the time to you know raise your voice and say no

[7:14]this is not right so we have to all defend our religion

[7:19]my friends and before we can do that we have to educate

[7:21]ourselves so tonight tomorrow and the next night we will go over

[7:26]this topic the accusations against Islam are great they're grave ISL is

[7:56]his lecture he said that the prophet of Islam Muhammad was was

[8:00]a evil and inhumane man and he spread his teachings By The

[8:07]Sword contrary to Jesus this is what they say you see the

[8:09]propaganda is there but you have to know how to answer this

[8:13]with proof with evidence Jesus spread his teachings with love Muhammad spread

[9:22]you can't blame Islam for their actions but they come and tell

[9:31]holy book is violent how do I answer that there's so many

[9:33]verses in the Quran they will come and tell you look Allah

[11:21]much has been oppressed there's so much ignorance about our Prophet a

[11:25]man that Allah subhana wa tala says in the Holy Quran about

[11:29]him we have not sent you but as Mercy to humanity he's

[11:35]being accused of being sent as what as punishment to humanity and

[11:40]that he crushed human beings and whoever opposed him so how can

[11:46]I prove to a non-muslim that our Prophet was not violent he

[11:48]was in fact a man of Mercy just like Jesus because we

[11:53]believe Jesus was a prophet of Allah and Muhammad was a prophet

[11:55]of Allah in the same way Jesus was a man of Mercy

[11:58]our Prophet was also also a man of Mercy they were sent

[12:03]by the same Lord with the same message so you have to

[12:05]tell them the stories of you tell them look when you accuse
