In honour of Hujr Bin Adi. Save the Muslim Heritage in and around Syria.

Description

Every human being deserves respect and dignity both in life and death.
Hujr Bin Adi was buried in 660 CE in Adra, a suburb of Damascus, Syria.
On 2nd of May 2013 the shrine of Hujr ibn Adi was demolished and the grave dug up. This has shocked Muslims worldwide as Hujr ibn Adi is a revered personality and companion of Prophet Muhammad. Disturbingly, there are also reports the body was exhumed and reburied at an undisclosed site by the perpetrators. However, due to the dire internal situation currently occurring in Syria, it has been difficult for local leaders to access and verify the accuracy of this report.
This issue is not sectarian or political -- it is a humanitarian concern which we are all obliged to enact upon by raising awareness as individuals and collectively as communities, to prevent further deliberate demolition of heritage sites.
