[4:26]brothers and sisters it is great to be back after a 3-

[4:33]week trip to perform the omra visit Mecca and Medina the grave

[4:40]of and the IMs of the and after I and several others

[4:49]from this community were privileged to go to irq as well and

[4:53]visit the imams of the inq and then we went to Iran

[5:00]and we visited IM in mashad and the whole Community all of

[5:04]you dear brothers and sisters were in my Dua and I ask

[5:10]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to grant you all the opportunity to visit

[5:15]the holy places of worship and the holy places where God is

[5:21]Remembered in these places my dear brothers and sisters tomorrow Saturday will

[5:27]be the first day of one of the whole holiest months of

[5:30]the Islamic lunar calendar and that is the holy month of rajab

[5:37]the holy month of rajab is a holy month in itself it

[5:42]is a season of spirituality and it is also considered one of

[5:47]the Allah subhana T says in the Quran Allah waala created 12

[6:02]months the the way Allah subhana wa ta'ala created this universe it's

[6:07]created in 12 months and out of those 12 months out of

[6:18]the Year there are four months that are considered to be what

[6:25]is what does that mean this was evene pre Islamic times even

[6:32]the jahia period before Islam they considered these months sacred and this

[6:37]is the month of R the month of and so R is

[6:43]on its own and then you have and and and the the

[6:50]Jah the pagans in pre-islamic times they would not fight during this

[6:55]time two tribes are at war with one another they would put

[7:00]their swords down during during this time why because was the season

[7:03]of and and and were the seasons around the Haj because Haj

[7:10]is in so you have one month before and one month after

[7:13]muharam this they would for the sanctity of the Hajj for the

[7:19]sanctity of people coming to visit the house of Allah even in

[7:22]pre-islamic times people would perform a Hajj and they would not fight

[7:27]during this time now it is one of the and it is

[7:35]also a season of spirituality it is the beginning of the season

[7:40]of spirituality just like in the year you have the spring for

[7:45]example you see the trees they start to Blossom and the the

[7:47]grass starts to grow and the greenery starts to show rajab is

[7:53]the beginning of the season of the season of worship because after

[7:57]rajab you have Shan and then you have the holy month of

[8:03]Ramadan and in fact during rajab this is the time to plant

[8:06]the seeds of spirituality if you want to feel connected with Allah

[8:11]subhana wa tala during the month of Ramadan you have to start

[8:17]in rajab you have to start in rajab and in Shan and

[8:19]my dear brothers and sisters sometimes we live our lives weeks and

[8:26]months and some people years pass and there's no remembrance of Allah

[8:31]there's no Dua there's no recitation of the Quran there's no fasting

[8:36]there's no nothing that brings us closer to Allah subhah wa ta'ala

[8:40]there's a dry spell where long periods of time pass and we

[8:46]don't feel that connected we don't feel that bond with Allah subhah

[8:50]wa ta'ala during rajab this is the time to reconnect with Allah

[8:54]subhana tala this is the time to get in touch with your

[8:57]spirituality and Allah says in the Quran isn't it time for the

[9:09]for the Believers Allah says isn't it time if if you consider

[9:30]yourself a m you consider yourself a Believer isn't it time that

[9:34]you connect with Allah isn't it time that you have meaning when

[9:39]the name of God is remembered you feel something in your heart

[9:44]don't be like those who Allah talks about the the Jews and

[9:55]the Christians they go for very long periods without spiritual uality because

[9:59]there's a disconnect and then the heart becomes hardened the heart becomes

[10:07]because there's no connection with Allah you become too distant and this

[10:11]is very normal imagine you have a friend you don't talk to

[10:14]this friend for one week two weeks 3 weeks four weeks a

[10:19]long period of time passes and you don't talk to this friend

[10:21]when you begin talking to him how are you going to feel

[10:24]how is it going to be when you begin talking to this

[10:26]person you're not going to feel that connected so here this is

[10:32]the time to reconnect with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala re-engage with Allah

[10:38]subhanahu waala and the best time to begin is during the month

[10:42]of rajab begin that give yourself that opportunity of spirituality says is

[10:51]the month of God none of the months come near it and

[10:59]its sanctity its and its its closeness its greatness in another says

[11:16]is the month associated with God and Shan is the month associated

[11:22]with and the month of Ramadan is associated with the umah it

[11:28]is the month of the umah now the question is how can

[11:34]I be worthy of God's mercy during the month of rajab month

[11:37]of rajab is a month of Mercy but how can I be

[11:41]deserving of that Mercy every day is a day of Mercy every

[11:45]year for us the month of Ramadan passes so many opportunities of

[11:49]Mercy pass but we don't take advantage of those opportunities what do

[11:55]I have to do to be deserving of that Mercy one is

[11:58]that I have to sanctify when he sees the Hal of when

[12:07]he sees the Crescent which probably tonight the Crescent of ofab would

[12:14]show tonight inshallah when he sees it he would say oh Allah

[12:23]bless for us and Shan and help us reach the month of

[12:30]Ramadan and support us these four things support us in the ask

[12:39]Allah to give you so that you could fast during the month

[12:45]of Ramadan a lot of people these Seasons come and because of

[12:49]illness because of other reasons they are unable to fast ask Allah

[12:52]to give you the health so that you could fast and standing

[12:58]what kind of standing is this praying in the middle of the

[13:05]night especially right now my dear brothers and sisters the night is

[13:09]so long you wake up and it's not F yet you wake

[13:13]up and you have an hour or I mean that's if you're

[13:14]jet like like me but if a lot of people you you

[13:19]wake up and you there's still time the month of Ramadan the

[13:25]uh uh excuse me the night is very long and the day

[13:26]is short in the winter so take advantage of this hours take

[13:32]advantage of the Night by praying a few to Allah subhah wa

[13:36]tala and praying to Allah and protecting the tongue look says oh

[13:46]Allah help me protect my tongue because sometimes we hurt people with

[13:50]our tongue sometimes we say certain things that end up destroying ourselves

[13:55]and destroying relationships and destroying bonds and marriages and so many things

[14:00]because of our tongue and also let me control my eyes let

[14:07]me not look at the Haram we live in an era where

[14:10]access to looking at Haram is very easy we need help from

[14:16]Allah to help us and do not make us only the only

[14:25]thing that we take out of some people RAB Shan Ramadan come

[14:29]and the only thing that comes out of it is hunger and

[14:33]thirst nothing else comes out of it he says no I want

[14:39]to benefit more get me make me be connected with Allah subhanahu

[14:41]wa'ta'ala so one of the ways to be connected is to fast

[14:48]during the month of rajab the month of rajab and shaan it

[14:54]is highly recommended to fast during these months in a Hadith from

[14:57]ANB Malik one of the companion of he says I heard the

[15:06]prophet saying the one who fasts one day in out of IM

[15:22]to get closer to God Allah subhah wa ta'ala will make 70

[15:28]obstacles between you and the Hellfire and each each obstacle the width

[15:37]of it is from here the the Earth to the heavens meaning

[15:44]Allah subhana tala will make the Hellfire very far away from you

[15:48]just for fasting during the month of rajab now fasting in Ramadan

[15:51]is waj everyone has to fast but if you fast in rajab

[15:55]that means you're willing to go the extra mile for Allah that

[15:57]means you're willing to prove your faith faith that means you're willing

[16:02]to show your love to your lord so this is one of

[16:05]the rewards in a Hadith and another Hadi from IM he says

[16:13]is a name of a river in Paradise a river that flows

[16:18]in Paradise Leon it is whiter than milk it is whiter than

[16:30]milk what and it is sweeter than honey this river that flows

[16:40]whoever fasts one day in R Allah subhanahu waala will give this

[16:48]person the opportunity to drink from that River in Paradise so this

[16:51]is one of the recommended acts to fast during the month of

[16:54]rajab now some people are unable to fast maybe you have a

[16:59]health problem you you have you have other things are you missing

[17:01]out on the opportunity no there's other things that you could do

[17:05]one thing that is highly recommended to do during the month of

[17:09]is to say to ask Allah for forgiveness ask Allah for in

[17:17]a from he says is the month of for my ask Allah

[17:30]to forgive you because God is forgiving Allah is saying ask me

[17:35]and I will forgive you I'm willing to forgive you all you

[17:38]have to do is ask one of the titles of is when

[17:45]you want to tell someone to pour something what do you say

[17:51]you say pour pour the water because it pours why because because

[18:01]the mercy will pour down upon my umah during says keep saying

[18:15]this I ask Allah to forgive me and I return to Allah

[18:33]as soon as we say allahar we we finish the prayer we

[18:38]get up and we leave sit for one minute sit for two

[18:43]minutes extra it's not going to hurt you your work is not

[18:44]you're not going to miss out on your income nothing's going to

[18:48]happen those meetings you're you're planning on having nothing's going to happen

[18:52]in your life sit for a few extra minutes on your prayer

[18:54]mat and ask Allah subhana T do Dua ask Allah for anything

[18:59]anything anything that you want Allah is saying ask me and I

[19:05]will give you your lord has promised ask me and I will

[19:07]give you where do you find the Lord that says do you

[19:11]tell me whatever you want and I will give you never give

[19:15]up hope in the mercy of Allah he is the one who

[19:23]answers today my dear brothers and sisters we are we are in

[19:26]need of God supporting us we are in need of Allah all

[19:30]we have to do is ask Allah subhana wa ta'ala what should

[19:35]we ask Allah during this month there was a companion of IM

[19:39]ja by the name of muhammedan this man he has a name

[19:48]a title they call him Muhammad sad imagine this man he was

[19:53]one of the companions of IM sad he's called a Saad so

[19:56]sad was not only IM Zid am the to have a stronger

[20:33]relationship with Allah subhana wa tala he says teach me a Dua

[20:36]we are in the month of teach me a Dua that God

[20:45]will benefit me benefit me in this D benefit me in the

[20:47]that God will support me God will be there for me God

[20:52]will help me teach me a Dua during the month of Raj

[20:57]so the IM he tells him write down in the name of

[21:05]Allah the mercy giving the merciful and say every day in day

[21:15]and night after every prayer say this Dua and after your Salat

[21:19]say it for and then he says for the brothers hold your

[22:06]beard with your left hand with your left hand your sh hold

[22:11]your beard with your left hand and with your right hand point

[22:14]to Allah and say basically this Dua is so beautiful oh Allah

[22:31]you are the hope for any anything good in my life can

[22:34]I get anything good in my life from anyone other than Allah

[22:41]no in times of in times of evil I resort to Allah

[22:46]who can I resort to other than Allah God gives you so

[22:54]much we give him a little we pray five prayers and we

[22:56]want Allah to give us everything in this D and the he

[23:59]and give us all the opportunity to benefit from this holy month

[26:06]month of rajab as we mentioned is a month and season of

[26:09]spirituality but it is also in addition to it being a month

[26:16]of connecting with God it is also a month of remembering our

[26:20]leaders remembering our role models connecting with those who connect us with

[26:26]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala connecting with those who pav the way for

[26:31]us so that we can have a connection with Allah subhah wa

[26:36]ta'ala and those are the the month of R there's a special

[26:41]association with theam why you see the month of rajab has many

[26:48]important Islamic days that are associated with the the first of RAB

[26:58]is the birth of IM Muhammed Al the fifth IM of the

[27:01]second of is the birth of IMI the third of rajab is

[27:08]the martyrdom of IM Ali the 10th of rajab is the birth

[27:18]of IM muhamed the 13th of is the birth of the 15th

[27:23]of rajab is the day of the death anniversary of Z the

[27:29]25th of is the martyrdom anniversary of IM and the 27th of

[27:39]RAB is the day of the of the day the holy prophet

[27:45]was commissioned to deliver the message of Islam so you see there

[27:49]are many important days many important significant days and that are associated

[27:54]with the during the month of rajab and my dear brothers and

[28:00]sisters one of the recommend recommended acts that we are all supposed

[28:04]to perform is to be connected with our leaders we have to

[28:10]be connected with those who connect us with Allah subhana tala we

[28:13]have to be connected with with the the Quran insists why does

[28:19]the Quran talk about prophets why does the Quran say when you

[28:22]go to Mecca go and pray where IIM prayed some people they

[28:27]come and they say I don't need to do that I just

[28:28]connect straight with God no Allah says you want to connect with

[28:34]God you connect through the route and the Avenue that I have

[28:36]provided for you and that is through the prophets and through and

[28:40]through the imams of the today unfortunately you see there's groups of

[28:49]Muslims that are disconnected with the there's no mention of the there's

[28:52]no mention even the birth of the Prophet for example they come

[28:57]and they say it's it's to celebrate the birth of the Prophet

[28:59]it's Haram to commemorate the death anniversary of the Prophet anything that

[29:04]Associates with the prophet or his family there is no mention whatsoever

[29:08]now what's the benefit of remembering the prophet and remembering theit today

[29:13]some people they come and they say you sh you followers of

[29:17]the you focus so much on these issues on remembering the on

[29:22]remembering the holy days and the days of anniversary the days of

[29:26]departure you focus so much on why what's the benefit from them

[29:31]my dear brothers and sisters today look at the Muslim world today

[29:34]you see when you are connected with the B you will be

[29:39]connected with the principles and the values that the bit stood for

[29:44]when you're connected with the prophet when you're connected with the imams

[29:48]of the B you're going to be in line with the values

[29:51]that they represent they represent Islam they represent the values of Islam

[29:56]and today it's very very clear for anyone to see you see

[30:02]the Muslims that are connected with the they are standing and defending

[30:07]the oppressed in Palestine they're defending the M they're giving sh day

[30:12]after day why because they have role models and they have leaders

[30:16]to look after and follow whereas the others you see there's no

[30:23]in their life there's no remembrance of Muhammad Muhammad and you see

[30:28]it's void you see there's oppression there's tyranny taking place in the

[30:33]world the people of Gazza are suffering the people of Gaza for

[30:37]four months they're being bombed day and night and the Muslim world

[30:41]is silent the Muslim world is not moving an inch the Muslim

[30:46]world is not even making empty threats at least make an empty

[30:50]threat they're silent yesterday there was the bombing of Yemen and you

[30:54]find within that Alliance the US and the UK okay these two

[30:59]countries that instead of working for their people Biden instead of working

[31:03]for the American people he's working in defense of the people of

[31:06]Israel sending money to Israel Waging War taking America to War for

[31:10]the sake of Israel now the Western countries this is what you

[31:15]expect from them you don't expect any better it was all a

[31:19]lie a hypocrisy that we stand in the name of freedom and

[31:21]democracy and human rights this was all talk but then you go

[31:27]and you see in the list bahin is also in that Alliance

[31:32]you find some Muslim countries they are siding with the oppressors against

[31:38]the oppressed against the people of Gazza against the innocent people of

[31:42]Palestine against the people of Yemen one of the poorest countries in

[31:46]the world one of the poorest of the Arab countries they're being

[31:49]bombed day and night why because there's a lack of touch with

[31:57]reality lack of touch with the true essence of Islam my dear

[32:00]brothers and sisters Islam yes Islam tells you pray and fast and

[32:05]go to Hajj but is that all that Islam asks you to

[32:06]do no Islam tells you to stand for the truth Islam tells

[32:13]you to defend the oppressed Islam tells you to say the word

[32:16]of the truth in front of a tyrant today you go to

[32:20]some of these countries we were just there you go to some

[32:24]of these countries you hear no mention of Palestine whatsoever no mention

[32:28]of Palestine whatsoever as if nothing is going on we traveled through

[32:34]several Muslim countries in the Middle East we saw where Palestine was

[32:39]mentioned after every prayer and we saw where there was no mention

[32:42]whatsoever of Palestine and if you do Dua for Palestine you do

[32:47]Dua for the people of Gaza you'll get arrested this is in

[32:51]countries that claim to be representatives of Islam yes they only knew

[32:55]how to send their Fighters their terrorists to Iraq and to Syria

[32:59]that's when D we heard about it every day that's when we

[33:03]heard about the Taliban that's when we heard about bah Haram that's

[33:06]when we heard about all of these groups now where are they

[33:10]people of gazah are suffering they're being killed there's a genocide taking

[33:14]place over close to 30,000 people have been killed because about 24,000

[33:21]24,000 that are accounted for and there's about 7,000 that they don't

[33:26]even know where they are they're under the rebble over 30,000 people

[33:31]have been killed and then you have South Africa they go and

[33:34]they they file a complaint and they they file a lawsuit and

[33:39]they go to the international uh Criminal Court where why did the

[33:44]Muslims do this why does South Africa have to go do this

[33:46]are we low in number are we low in money no no

[33:58]you see the military that they have but not using it towards

[34:04]good why because of the lack of connect with the and we

[34:19]but if there's a disconnect then you won't be able to see

[34:23]the truth my dear brothers and sisters we ask Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala

[34:26]to to save the people of gazah and to save the people

[34:30]of Yemen and the people of South Lebanon right now who are

[34:35]also being bombed day and night we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[34:38]to end the suffering for the Believers all over the world and

[34:43]we ask Allah subhana tala to hasten the reappearance of the IM

[34:47]of our time who is our only hope let m Al
