[1:02]a loud Salat for Muhammad and Al Muhammad respected brothers and sisters

[1:18]we mentioned last night that when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala created the

[1:25]universe the skies and the heavens he ordained his owning calendar and

[1:31]he mentions this in the Holy Quran the Holy Quran says when

[1:49]Allah created this universe he ordained a calendar and then the Quran

[1:56]tells us a few facts about Allah's calendar number one the Quran

[2:04]says that the calendar of Allah consists of 12 months so it's

[2:09]similar to the Civil Gregorian calendar that we use number two of

[2:14]these 12 months the Quran says four of these 12 months are

[2:22]considered sacred they have a special sanctity in the eyes of Allah

[2:30]and we're not talking about the blessings and theah no the sanctity

[2:36]here is different meaning that we are not as Muslims allowed to

[2:40]engage in war any combat in these four months they ask you

[2:51]about combat during the sacred months Allah tells the prophet tells tell

[3:01]them that it is it's a great sin you're not allowed to

[3:08]start combat yes if it's defensive you defend for your life whenever

[3:12]it is and there's some other laws that pertain to the four

[3:15]sacred months now the Quran does not mention what these four months

[3:21]are but however our Traditions do mention it last night I mentioned

[3:30]one Hadith from IM am that is found in the book of

[3:33]Ali after he mentions this verse that there are four sacred months

[3:42]the Imam mentions which months are the sacred months he said sh

[3:50]which are backtack and then those three months for Hajj andab for

[3:57]om after my lecture someone came up and they said what about

[4:03]muharam the month of muharam we know is one of the Sacred

[4:06]months so is amongst the sacred months so I reviewed the traditions

[4:13]of and I found another set ofth where the imams instead of

[4:20]sha yes they mention M so it would be the also back

[4:27]to back and then and IM is narrated saying that in an

[4:36]authentic Hadith it's a Hadith that you usually read we read and

[4:38]listen to in the month of muharam one of his companions by

[4:44]the name of arayan Shabib Shabib he visits the IM it was

[4:52]the beginning of mam the IM then speaks about the tragedy of

[4:57]his grandfather IM Hussein amongst the things that he tells he tells

[5:07]him Hussein if there's anything that's worth crying for lamenting mourning then

[5:14]it's my grandfather Hussein for my grandfather Hussein was slaughtered like an

[5:23]animal in a very vicious and cruel way and then the IM

[5:27]says this and this is what I'm getting to the Imam says

[5:32]that during the the month of M was from the the sacred

[5:38]months even the people of Jah which were the lowest people in

[5:42]Morality they had reached the lowest moral decadence of any society even

[5:48]those lousy jahans they knew not to fight during the month of

[5:56]muharam but yet those individuals that came to kill my grandfather Hussein

[6:01]they violated the sanctity of muharam which is a holy month you're

[6:06]not supposed to fight and they killed my grandfather Hussein that's why

[6:11]when we listen to the stories of carala you will hear this

[6:17]over and over again that some of the companions of Al IM

[6:20]Hussein wanted to start the battle like Muslim it's narrated he tells

[6:27]IM Hussein allow me to strike that enemy because he just insulted

[6:31]IM Hussein like sh IM Hussein would say no I don't want

[6:34]to start the battle the reason that's usually given is a moral

[6:42]ethical reason do not initiate War someone fights them they defend but

[6:47]there's also a legal aspect to that a Juris Prudential reason because

[6:52]is amongst the and you're not allowed to start a fight Haram

[6:56]the Quran says that it's amongst the greatest sins so IM Hussein

[7:02]says if they fight we defend ourselves so thisi of IM highlights

[7:05]that is one of the four sacred months so there's two opinions

[7:11]on this but the majority believe it is mam instead of sha

[7:14]so this is the second fact that the Quran tells us about

[7:19]the Islamic calendar Allah's calendar number three the calendar of Allah is

[7:26]based on the moon not on the sun it's a lunar C

[7:31]calendar where does Allah say that in the Holy Quran Allah subhana

[7:34]wa tala says this in the Holy Quran we can extract that

[7:38]from this verse they used to come to and they used to

[7:45]ask him what's the point of the Crescent is it just decoration

[7:48]in the sky it starts very small and then it grows and

[7:54]grows larger until it turns into a full moon and then it

[7:56]starts once again becoming smaller and smaller is that just Beauty the

[8:03]Quran says no there is a purpose why Allah made the phases

[8:06]of the moon and you see it in different sizes why the

[8:11]Quran says the moon serves as your calendar oh Muslims how do

[8:18]you know what day of the month it is look at the

[8:22]Moon if it's a full moon it's what the middle of the

[8:24]month if it's a small Moon you know either it's the end

[8:30]of the month month or the beginning of the month so just

[8:33]by looking at the size of the Crescent you can tell if

[8:36]you're not an expert you can tell approximately what day it is

[8:41]and if the more experience you have the more you can pinpoint

[8:45]it and Haj likewise how do we know when Hajj is the

[8:50]moon so the calendar of Allah 12 months four of them are

[8:53]sacred they are based on the moon lunar calendar and the only

[9:00]month of these 12 that is directly and explicitly mentioned in the

[9:05]Quran in the Hadi they're all mentioned is which month I think

[9:11]there's a very easy tip or hint the month that we are

[9:16]in now which month are we nowan do you have your brother

[9:25]he can someone give him Hisar month of Ramadan right it's the

[9:29]only month that Allah explicitly mentions yes he refers to other months

[9:34]but Ramadan the word Ramadan is mentioned in the Quran which verse

[9:38]anyone know which verse the word Ramadan is mentioned in the Holy

[9:43]Quran probably not no Bak well that's the largest verse so it's

[9:51]a good try probability wise you got it it isak Allah subhana

[9:56]wa tala says in the Holy Quran the month of Ramadan is

[10:06]the month in which Allah brought down the Quran he brought down

[10:10]the Quran from the Heavens to the Earth for the first time

[10:16]and then it was gradually conveyed to the prophet and the prophet

[10:22]gradually delivered those verses to the people over a course of 20

[10:26]or 23 years and then Allah speaks about how the Quran serves

[10:37]as a book of guidance and it is a book that distinguishes

[10:45]between H and B truth and falsehood whoever is present and not

[10:52]traveling then fast when the month of Ramadan begins and the verse

[10:58]continues so these are the different facts that Allah mentions about the

[11:04]calendar in the Quran however something that Allah does not tell us

[11:11]in the Holy Quran is which of these 12 months is the

[11:17]first month when is New Year's in Allah's calendar this is not

[11:23]mentioned in the Quran most people if you ask them when is

[11:31]the new year and the Islamic calendar when does it start what's

[11:36]the first month of the calendar what's the common answer what is

[11:40]itam and almost every calendar that you'll see today that's printed or

[11:44]online we'll have muharam as month one similar to January the first

[11:52]month but for the followers of being New Year's the first month

[12:00]is problematic IC why number one because New Year is a time

[12:06]of Celebration right celebrate New years's but muharam is the beginning of

[12:12]the morning period that's why as a follower of B you don't

[12:19]celebrate mam 1 because it's New Year's Day in fact this is

[12:24]the day in which you start the morning period start attending the

[12:27]majalis of Imam Hussein you wear your black clothes clothing and for

[12:31]many of us who reach the higher levels of IM we stop

[12:37]chewing gum those 10 days right so that's how we begin our

[12:39]new year there's no sign of any celebration because of what happened

[12:41]to Imam Hussein but in addition to that when we look at

[12:50]the traditions of B you find the tell us that there is

[12:56]another month that is the New Year the new month the beginning

[12:59]of the new year not muharam they give us another perspective and

[13:07]this is contrary to popular belief and I saw numerous Traditions from

[13:12]the where they highlight this point which day of the Islamic calendar

[13:19]which is the calendar that Allah designed decreed when he when he

[13:28]created the universe as as the Quran says the imams of give

[13:37]us a different narrative what do the imams tell us I'll read

[13:42]you a couple of Hadith from the imams Hadith number one from

[13:47]you can find this Hadith in the book of scholar that lived

[13:57]8900 years ago he narrates Hadith from it's a very beautiful Hadith

[14:04]he prescribes a specific is a type of wash when you wash

[14:11]yourself in a specific way not taking a shower no there's two

[14:17]ways to do a an Islamic either you can do the whatever

[14:23]you're doing and then you can just like jump in a pool

[14:27]such that your entire body is immersed even if it's one second

[14:30]you come out you did but you have to make the intention

[14:34]or if you're taking a shower then you have to do it

[14:40]in three steps first The Head and the neck you wash it

[14:42]then the right side of your body and then the left side

[14:46]you do it in that sequence this is called and you do

[14:50]it with the intention just like w how we do it with

[14:53]the intention for Allah there's many types of the IM teaches us

[14:59]a specific type of Gul he says if you do this Gul

[15:05]on the first day of the year Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will

[15:15]give you protection from harm for the entire year he says New

[15:23]Year's Day do this and then the IM says take water and

[15:32]just pour it over your head 30 times because back then there

[15:35]weren't showers like it was all pouring he says if you do

[15:42]that that will be the greatest cure and remedy for the entire

[15:48]year that will protect you from harm now if you want to

[15:55]do this prescription this Dua of IM Ali when are you going

[15:58]to do it you wouldn't do it on January 1 because January

[16:03]1 being the New Year doesn't have a real basis if you

[16:07]read about why January one is the new year and I kind

[16:12]of spoke about that last night it goes back to the Romans

[16:15]they decided that January is the first month why because they extracted

[16:24]this word January from Jus j a n which is what which

[16:28]was the name name of their God the god of Beginnings they

[16:35]had a God for Beginnings whatever that means so since the god

[16:40]of beginning is Janice then the first month should be Janice does

[16:45]that really matter to you and I brothers and sisters we don't

[16:50]believe in those fake gods and then if you remember I mentioned

[16:54]that when Christianity came they changed the new year to March th

[17:00]because that coincided with the Annunciation of the pregnancy of maram that's

[17:06]what they believe so for years and years maybe centuries in Europe

[17:11]New Years was March 25th until I mentioned last night 1582 the

[17:19]famous Pope Gregory I 13th who the Gregorian calendar is named after

[17:25]he's like no let's go back to January 1 why because I

[17:31]mentioned this again last night because January 1 coincides with the circumcision

[17:38]of baby Jesus he was circumcised on January 1 and I mentioned

[17:41]this last night for all you who celebrate January 1 just realize

[17:48]what you're really celebrating so this is in the Gregorian calendar right

[17:54]but what about in the Islamic calendar the Islamic calendar if you

[17:58]want to do this you're not going to do it on January

[18:04]1 nor March 25 so most likely you will perform this on

[18:07]what day mam one right if I would end my lecture here

[18:13]and I don't continue many of you or some of you would

[18:15]write on your phone and your notes when mam 1 comes let

[18:20]me do this because Allah will give me protection for entire year

[18:24]but what's interesting is the Imam continues he explains he tells us

[18:31]when to do this he says the Imam then says and the

[18:48]first day of every year meaning New Year's Day is when Ramadan

[18:51]one so if you want to do this don't do it inam

[18:56]do it in Ramadan one so from this we extract that IM

[19:02]Ali is telling us Ramadan is the first month contrary to what

[19:05]we believe the ninth month right and Ramadan one is New Year's

[19:11]Day that was the day that we had to celebrate that's one

[19:15]Hadith from another beautiful Hadith from IM the seventh IM he's narrated

[19:27]and this is found in the book of alfi he's narrated teaching

[19:34]his Shia his followers a special Dua the Imam said read this

[19:40]Dua when the new year is beginning to greet the new year

[19:45]and Allah will give you certain benefits and the Imam he teaches

[19:53]his companions that Dua it's not long maybe takes you two minutes

[19:56]to read and some parts of that Dua as I was reading

[20:00]it sound like so on and so forth but it's much much

[20:09]shorter than Dua so once again when would you read this assuming

[20:16]following just everybody else and popular belief before mam the eve of

[20:24]mam let's read this Dua but what's interesting is the IM in

[20:29]this he says that recite this Dua in the month of Ramadan

[20:33]as you greet the new year once again exactly as is saying

[20:39]and there's three beautiful things that the Imam teaches us brothers and

[20:43]sisters to ask Allah anytime you do Dua especially when it's a

[20:49]new year coming there's so many things we can ask for the

[20:51]Imam focuses on three things listen carefully number one the Imam ask

[20:59]Allah to grant us us he says in that Dua Ya Allah

[21:15]as this new year begins and unfolds yah Allah I want you

[21:23]to protect me by concealing me S is to conceal ask Allah

[21:29]to conceal your flaws your sins from everybody else and keep your

[21:39]reputation good see in Dua brothers and sisters one of the beautiful

[21:44]passages of Dua is where the Imam highlights one of the aspects

[21:48]of the mercy of Allah is that he is so merciful just

[21:54]by keeping our flaws and sins secret he does not expose us

[22:08]praises to Allah the one when I call him he answers and

[22:12]I sin in front of him because Allah sees us at all

[22:18]times but yet Allah acts as if he never saw me Allah

[22:20]Asel does not expose me he knows all my flaws all my

[22:26]weaknesses all the immoral things that I have done some sometimes times

[22:30]secretly nobody knows not even my wife or husband or children or

[22:35]parents nobody knows Allah knows but does Allah subhah wa ta'ala expose

[22:44]us Allah subhana T doesn't expose me Allah subhah wa ta'ala conceals

[22:48]our weaknesses when other people rush to con to to expose Allah

[22:53]conceals over and over again in Dua abam I highly recommend you

[22:59]read a passage of it every night if you can't read it

[23:01]every night read one tenth every night there's a beautiful passage where

[23:07]Imam speaks about how Allah is he [Music] says says Ya Allah

[23:32]if anyone else besides you was watching me when I committed that

[23:35]sin privately in my room anyone else besides you was watching me

[23:41]I would have been ashamed but in front of you I was

[23:46]not ashamed Allah is watching us and we brazenly commit sins immoral

[23:51]acts in front of him but then the Imam he tells Allah

[23:58]and he's speaking on our behalf the IM is infallible he's teaching

[24:00]us how to speak to Allah the IM then explains why some

[24:03]of us we may not have evil intentions when we sin even

[24:08]though we know Allah is watching us so why do we do

[24:10]it there's a camera brothers and sisters just like that camera 24

[24:15]hours a day that's recording you and Allah is watching so why

[24:18]do we sin when we're alone the Imam explains why the Imam

[24:25][Music] says [Music] the Imam says you know why we sin even

[24:55]though Allah sees us and we're not ashamed he says not because

[25:02]I belittle you Ya Allah or because you don't matter to me

[25:04]no Allah matters to me but yet I sin because I know

[25:10]Allah will not expose me I take advantage of Allah's Mercy why

[25:16]do we not commit some of these ugly acts in front of

[25:21]people because they'll expose us right away they'll go to social media

[25:25]and they'll write about it they'll go tell their friends makes some

[25:28]some people's day when they see a flaw they discover a flaw

[25:34]about someone that this person has this issue with his wife with

[25:36]his son this person is struggling with any type of problem we

[25:40]love to go and expose so thus we're afraid that other people

[25:47]watch us but with Allah subhah wa ta'ala we know that he

[25:53]will conceal us we're not supposed to take advantage of his Mercy

[25:57]but yet we do so he says I know Ya Allah you

[26:02]are you are the one that conceals you are the one that

[26:07]forgives why because Allah doesn't want to expose you if you expose

[26:10]you many times you're not going to repent that's it when your

[26:12]reputation goes down the drain in the community it's very hard for

[26:18]anyone to forget 10 years later they will not forgive you 20

[26:23]years later they'll remember so IM explains how Allah subhana how many

[26:35]times has Allah concealed every one of us knows I know and

[26:39]you know how many secrets that we have that only Allah knows

[26:44]but Allah subhana T has not exposed us certain evil things immoral

[26:50]things that we have done all by ourselves but Allah keeps on

[26:57]protecting and concealing us there's a Hadith from from IM where the

[27:00]IM says he quotes Allah he says oh son of Adam I

[27:08]have done three things for you that no one will ever do

[27:13]for you not even your family members not even your wife not

[27:16]even your kids will do for you and one of them is

[27:26]this I have seen so many ugly things from you but I

[27:32]have looked the other way such that if some of your family

[27:38]members knew you had done these things they would not even bury

[27:42]you if you die that's how much they would despise you my

[27:46]dad did this secretly my mom my brother Allah says I forget

[27:55]I forgive but human beings are not too forgiving so Allah subhana

[28:00]but also at the same you know on the same note I

[28:05]have to mention this that even Allah sometimes has his red lines

[28:09]Allah will allow me to sin and sin and he'll conceal and

[28:16]conceal until there is a specific red line if we exceed that

[28:20]red line Allah May expose us don't test the tolerance of Allah

[28:25]brothers and sisters don't test it because you don't know when it's

[28:30]going to happen and there's a had from IM Ali where he

[28:31]gives us a number but it's still vague because the IM puts

[28:36]it in relation with he says Allah gives every single one of

[28:46]you 40 layers of concealment 40 layers meaning 40 sins and he

[28:53]will still conceal but the Imam says until you perform 40 are

[29:04]the great sins we have the smaller sins and the larger sins

[29:11]so what's a that in itself is a long discussion but the

[29:15]point is the worst of the sins that you can think of

[29:23]they are so the IM says Allah gives you 40 chances after

[29:27]you exceed the 40 Allah he leaves you bare and naked without

[29:37]any concealment he does not expose you but he's not going to

[29:40]what conceal B he leaves you all to yourself but still you

[29:45]see Allah's love he still doesn't want to leave you all alone

[29:47]so he tells his angels I'm not going to conceal him anymore

[29:50]but that's enough he's overdone it there's no point he tells his

[29:57]angels you can go and conceal him if you want so Imam

[30:00]Ali says the Angels obviously they cannot conceal like Allah conceals they'll

[30:04]try to conceal me but I'm just out of control too many

[30:10]sins right and left they can't control me until they give up

[30:13]they say Ya Allah this guy has no shame absolutely no shame

[30:20]we give up the Imam says when the Angels give up on

[30:23]you this is when all concealment is taken away be ready for

[30:31]being exposed when you hear brothers and sisters someone was exposed for

[30:36]something bad and it was real it wasn't just an allegation don't

[30:39]think it's the first time they did it Allah concealed 40 times

[30:47]and sometimes 400 times until finally they were exposed that's why sometimes

[30:53]I have certain people that come for marriage counseling and one of

[31:01]the one of the problems that usually is highlighted and it's mostly

[31:07]by certain uh sisters is that you know I caught my husband

[31:10]cheating on me but he claims that he repented and he'll never

[31:15]do it again but I don't know if I can trust him

[31:18]so they asked me should we place hidden cameras should we ease

[31:23]drop and check his phone when you know what I say and

[31:27]I really believe in this brothers and sisters I'm not just giving

[31:31]not just giving some guidance because I you know I just have

[31:36]to give this guidance I really believe in this I tell them

[31:39]if you ask me I don't think you should put any eyes

[31:45]on your husband because if he is really doing something Haram and

[31:48]immoral the eyes of Allah never sleep he will get away with

[31:55]cheating once twice 10 times but eventually if it becomes a habit

[31:59]he will get exposed and sometimes we expose ourselves unintentionally we say

[32:05]something that we're not supposed to say so don't worry too much

[32:11]Allah Asel has the best surveillance system yes Allah is tolerant he

[32:15]will not strike right away but if a year passes by and

[32:18]that person wasn't exposed it's not 100% but chances are if that

[32:25]person was nonstop committing that Haram secretly they would have got un

[32:30]exposed so leave it on Allah subhanahu waala so anyway going back

[32:35]to the Hadith of IM he teaches us the Dua of the

[32:44]New Year ask Allah for what to conceal number two ask Allah

[32:48]to protect you from harm and there's two types of harm the

[32:55]Imam says physical harm and spiritual heart there are endless brothers and

[33:01]sisters bad things that may happen to us there's a Hadith where

[33:06]the Imam says that we are surrounded by by harm any second

[33:15]something can go wrong so always do Dua always do Dua and

[33:21]ask Allah to protect you surround you with his protection at all

[33:26]times physical protection and spiritual protection what do I mean spiritual protection

[33:32]just like you guard your body from physical harm we guard our

[33:38]souls and Spirits from spiritual harm spiritual harm brothers and sisters happen

[33:44]when we disconnect from Allah spiritual harms happen when we sin and

[33:50]forget about Allah when my heart is filled with greed it is

[33:57]filled with animosity and ER AR and arrogance this is a form

[34:02]of disease of the heart and this is the greatest type of

[34:07]spiritual of well-being that you should ask Allah subhah tala ask Allah

[34:14]Asel to keep your soul and spirit healthy not just your body

[34:17]because on the day of judgment Allah subhana says on the day

[34:29]of judgment nothing will help you your money won't help you your

[34:32]children w't help your physical health will not help you Allah doesn't

[34:37]care how wide open your veins and arteries are of your heart

[34:45]but Allah cares how pure your spiritual heart is and that's how

[34:51]he will judge you so ask Allah subhana wa tala for protection

[34:56]there's a beautiful Hadith that I saw narrated in Sunni books regarding

[35:02]this famous Sunni scholar compiled hadiths thousand years ago he narrates a

[35:07]Hadith from ANB Malik ANB Malik says that one day and IM

[35:15]Ali are walking together they're walking in the Farms of Medina so

[35:20]as they pass by an orchard IMI tells look at how beautiful

[35:25]this is look at the flowers look at the Garden look at

[35:29]the the trees the prophet tells him yeah Ali but your garden

[35:34]in Paradise is much more beautiful than this they continue IM Ali

[35:38]sees a second Garden he says the same thing the prophet replies

[35:42]in the same way until seven times an says after the seventh

[35:47]time burst into tears he started crying so IM Ali was surprised

[35:55]what's going on why is crying he asked him what happen happened

[35:57]y did I do something wrong did I upset you he said

[36:02]no y Ali I remembered what will happen to you once I

[36:07]die jbra came down upon the prophet and he informed him of

[36:14]what will happen to IM Ali after dies and I just cannot

[36:20]help not thinking about it so the prophet says I remembered what

[36:24]will happen to you and all the oppression that you will face

[36:27]from my after me and this is what this is not a

[36:33]book and all the animosity and hatred that will be Unleashed against

[36:40]you oh Ali once I die so I can't help myself but

[36:42]to cry so the Imam tells him if I see that day

[36:46]what do I do he says be patient oh Ali he tells

[36:50]him if I am patient what will happen he says you will

[36:53]suffer o Ali being patient is not easy and that's why the

[36:58]Imam himself he said he says those years after it was so

[37:03]hard for me to be patient it was like there was a

[37:09]thorn stuck in my throat in my eye and a bone in

[37:14]my throat it's like I was choking the whole time that's how

[37:16]difficult it was from IMI to bear and see what they did

[37:22]to fa and what they were doing to the um but the

[37:24]prophet told them to be patient because he had no supporters listen

[37:30]to the answer of IM Ali the IM tells him when all

[37:42]that suffering that falls upon me will my faith be intact or

[37:46]no will my Iman be shaken because sometimes when Allah tries us

[37:53]when difficulties what happens it's not just your body it's not just

[37:57]ache it's not just physical harm it starts affecting your faith you

[38:02]turn away from Allah you object to Allah you're not happy at

[38:05]Allah tala because someone is oppressing you so the Imam is concerned

[38:11]about his spiritual well-being he says what about my Iman my faith

[38:14]will that be altered the prophet tells him noi no what can

[38:17]alter what can move the faith of alali he's a mountain the

[38:22]Imam replies with this beautiful answer he says then who cares he

[38:29]tells then I don't care how much I suffer as long as

[38:34]my IM will not be shaken up ask Allah brothers and sisters

[38:39]for Spiritual well-being for your Iman to always be intact and finally

[38:45]a third thing that we find in this Dua of IM that

[38:49]he says when the new year begins ask Allah for proximity to

[38:52]keep you close to him to remove any barriers between you and

[38:59]Allah subhana waala Ya Allah I ask you whatever brings me closer

[39:16]to you give it to me whatever keeps me far away from

[39:21]you take it away but if you do this Dua brothers and

[39:23]sisters you have to be ready for the consequences why because maybe

[39:30]my work is a barrier between me and Allah maybe my wealth

[39:37]is a barrier between me and Allah maybe I may lose a

[39:40]family member and I hate it but that's what will bring me

[39:44]closer to Allah so only read this Dua if you have full

[39:47]submission to Allah subhana tala because what we want isn't always what

[39:54]will bring us close to Allah it's too many distractions so when

[39:59]im he says read this Dua to greet the new year and

[40:04]he says read it in the month of Ramadan so now you

[40:06]have two imams IM Ali Imam both both say the same thing

[40:11]and finally I'll mention this Hadith the Hadith of IM he was

[40:17]asked in aith narrat this Hadith in his book why is the

[40:24]day of in three weeks why is that a day of Celebration

[40:26]the Imam gives a few reasons one of the reasons he says

[40:36]he says because the day of which is really sha one is

[40:41]the first day of the year that you can eat breakfast and

[40:47]lunch so does that mean that shaal is the first month of

[40:53]the year no because the Imam explains he says he says the

[41:04]first month of the year for the people that follow the truth

[41:10]is the month of Ramadan so New Year's Day is what Ramadan

[41:15]one but you can't eat breakfast or lunch so when is the

[41:17]first day of the year that you can eat breakfast or lunch

[41:21]day of e so Allah wants you to thank him and praise

[41:25]him on that day that's it's a day of Celebration so according

[41:28]to these three traditions and there's more the first month of the

[41:34]year brothers and sisters and the calendar of Allah according to the

[41:38]is the month of Ramadan so Ramadan 1 is when we should

[41:44]be making our New Year's resolutions Ramadan one is when we should

[41:49]start a fresh new year with Allah subhah wa ta'ala it's the

[41:53]beginning of your new spiritual year if if you had a terrible

[41:58]year with Allah subhah wa ta'ala this is the time brothers and

[42:05]sisters to start and in order for Allah to help you to

[42:08]start you on a good note Allah is giving away so much

[42:15]free rewards he's giving away so many free things that he never

[42:19]ever gives away and the prophet spoke about that in his sermon

[42:22]the sermon where he told the Muslims about Ramadan it's a famous

[42:32]sermon you've all heard he said these very beautiful words about the

[42:37]month of Ramadan he says oh Believers this month of Ramadan which

[42:44]is really the beginning of the new year Allah is so merciful

[42:48]he wants to give you a very big head start such that

[42:53]you don't even have to do anything to please Allah to get

[43:00]closer to Allah two things just breathe Allah will count us as

[43:10]as as if you're saying Subhan Allah breathe and you're forced to

[43:15]breathe it's not something that you chose to do if you don't

[43:21]breathe you die Allah counts that as what a you know how

[43:23]many times we breathe per hour according to J chat GPT right

[43:31]1,000 times an hour almost approximately a thousand times an hour so

[43:36]that means almost 24,000 times a day the entire month of Ramadan

[43:45]almost 700,000 times Allah will give you the of for doing what

[43:49]nothing literally nothing breathing and your sleep especially if you snore this

[44:20]lecture Ramadan is the only month of the year that Allah gives

[44:23]you free a for doing absolutely nothing every other month there's small

[44:31]things that you have to do tiny things and Allah will give

[44:34]you huge rules but in Ramadan the reward just comes for free

[44:38]breathe and sleep can anyone for God's sake fail and breathing and

[44:44]sleeping on the day of judgment Allah says sorry you didn't sleep

[44:46]and breathe in Ramadan no that means Allah is giving it for

[44:52]free take advantage of it meaning take advantage of the head star

[44:56]build on it so that you can seek nearness to Allah subhanahu
