[6:28]would assume that a few days before the holy prophet passes away

[6:31]he would pass away in peace you'd think that the holy prophet

[6:35]in his last moments would be farewell to everybody everyone would bid

[6:39]farewell to him he'd leave this world without there being any quarrels

[6:43]any dissensions any problems yet you find as we examined yesterday when

[6:47]the holy prophet peace be upon him and his family asks for

[6:51]a pen and paper they tell him the quran sufficient for us

[6:54]and now on this occasion when he asks everybody in the whole

[6:59]of medina to join osama suddenly there are a few who begin

[7:05]to say why should we join the army of osama why should

[7:09]we be under the authority of osama these few are not any

[7:14]personalities in islamic history these are amongst the most famous the ones

[7:20]who over millions hundreds or millions of people until today admire and

[7:25]revere but all of a sudden in the final few days of

[7:28]the life of the holy prophet peace be upon him his family

[7:30]everything that the prophet peace be upon him and his family begins

[7:35]to mention is suddenly questioned his authority is suddenly under threat all

[7:39]of a sudden if he wants to give guidance on an issue

[7:44]appoints a commander on an issue all of a sudden people are

[7:48]raising objections and these personalities who are raising objections our personality who

[7:53]without a doubt are revered by all schools you find all schools

[7:57]of non-shia have a reference for abu bakr as the first khalifa

[8:01]have a reverence for omar as the second khalifa they look at

[8:07]them with the highest level of respect yet without a doubt there

[8:18]abu bakr and umar are ordered by the prophet to join the

[8:32]has ordered you to leave with that army then what are you

[8:34]doing leading prayer in the final moments of the life of the

[8:38]holy prophet in medina when you're meant to be in the army

[8:39]if you say you're leading prayer then you look like the greatest

[8:43]companion of the prophet but if you admit your leading prayer that

[8:48]means you haven't joined osama's army and those who haven't joined osama's

[8:52]army that means that they've gone against the wishes of the holy

[8:55]prophet peace be upon him and his family other questions also arise

[8:59]why oh prophet of god would you ask all of your companions

[9:04]to suddenly leave medina except ali abner was asked to leave medina

[9:16]why you're in your final moments the illnesses overcome you you are

[9:23]on your deathbed a month earlier abdullah bin masrud and others say

[9:26]we knew that the prophet peace be upon him his family was

[9:28]going to pass away imagine all of a sudden someone looks at

[9:31]all of you close to him and says to you all of

[10:49]still be around and your other father-in-law as well to still be

[10:52]around at the end of the day of omar and he is

[11:00]married to ayesha would you tell your in-laws get out of london

[11:03]in my final moments why would the holy prophet insist that everybody

[11:10]leaves medina in those moments further than that was there really a

[11:14]threat from the romans at that time as in were the romans

[11:18]really on the edge of medina was it a case that the

[11:23]romans really wanted to invade why would you all of a sudden

[11:25]oh prophet of god say everybody must join us further than that

[11:31]o prophet of god why an 18 year old or a 19

[11:34]year old or a 20 year old at the end of the

[11:38]day what experience does he have on the battlefield you could say

[11:42]that there are other companions at the time for example like was

[11:46]around at the time of the holy prophet peace be upon him

[11:49]his family he had a lot of experience on the battlefield you

[11:52]could say that um had experience on the battlefield you could say

[11:57]that there were other companions of the holy prophet peace be upon

[11:59]assad who had experience on the battlefield ya rasulallah why would you

[12:02]ask an 18 year old to lead your final army you could

[12:08]ask those who are in their 50's how old were they at

[12:14]the time they were nearly the age of the holy prophet peace

[12:16]be upon him in his family at least in abu bakr's case

[12:20]he was way older than osama therefore all of these questions arise

[12:23]that why is it that the holy prophet peace be upon him

[12:28]and his family insisted that all the companions get out of medina

[12:33]except imam ali alaihissalam tonight i'd like to examine the expedition of

[12:38]osama or jaish osama in order for us to be able to

[12:44]understand what took place in the final moments of the life of

[12:46]our holy prophet peace be upon him and his family and what

[12:49]repercussions emerge from it and i'd like to do it in the

[12:53]following stages number one why osama bin zayed to lead an army

[12:59]what had happened to his father zaid a few years earlier that

[13:03]meant that usama should lead this army number two and of the

[13:08]utmost importance how many days before the prophet died had he made

[13:12]it clear that osama should lead number three did osama have any

[13:14]pedigree in war and if he did which famous battle did many

[13:20]run away from but he stuck with imam amir al-mu'min on that

[13:24]day of the utmost importance next in the questions when we look

[13:29]at the final moments how did the prophet realize that there are

[13:32]people who are beginning to object why were they objecting what reasons

[13:37]were they giving to objecting 5 what did the holy prophet say

[13:42]when he heard that there are people objecting and what did he

[13:45]mean when he said o arabs you are miserable because i've appointed

[13:48]osama as a general over you like you were with his father

[13:54]what did he mean with the statement further than that if mam

[13:57]ali is the greatest soldier why send all of them to war

[14:01]and keep ali in medina what was the prophet trying to insist

[14:04]then on what point after that if abu bakr led the final

[14:08]prayer what was abu bakr doing in medina and if he was

[14:14]there in medina then what does it say about his obedience so

[14:18]the holy prophet peace be upon him and his family finally what

[14:21]did omar say when people said that the prophet had passed away

[14:25]how did he go around telling others that they should never say

[14:31]such words and how did the prophet become sad by the behaviors

[14:34]of those around him and the way that they disrespected him in

[14:38]his final moments before he died let's examine this and dissect the

[14:44]topic in complete depth we are talking about osama leading an army

[14:48]in the 11th year after hijra the question arises why lead this

[14:53]army and why osama a few years earlier in a land known

[15:06]leading the muslims against the romans against the christians of rome and

[15:13]the christians of arabia usama's father zaid as we all know was

[15:31]prophet even the holy prophet would say about osama i love him

[15:36]because not only did he love osama but he loved his father's

[15:41]aid as well when the holy prophet peace be upon him family

[15:44]had sent one of his ambassadors to the roman christians they killed

[15:49]the ambassador of rasulallah when they killed the ambassador of the holy

[15:54]prophet peace be upon him and his family the holy prophet decided

[15:59]that an army had to march towards mutter where's mutter motta is

[16:03]in jordan today you see unfortunately jafar tayyar is one of the

[16:07]quran in our world because he is buried in jordan and i

[16:11]don't think many of us necessarily go to jordan on holiday and

[16:14]nor are many of us going to necessarily go to mutter and

[16:18]sit there relaxed because there are still certain countries in the world

[16:22]where you still have a bit of a hatred towards the shia

[16:24]in one way or the other because of different angles different directions

[16:28]different motives that may exist but you found that when they went

[16:32]towards the romans they were led by they went as a few

[17:41]we overcame a mighty force but on this occasion they were too

[17:56]that they were going to come out victorious but what they came

[18:47]well lost his arms in that battle hence when we say because

[18:50]he lost his arms allah subhanwa ta'ala replaces them with wings in

[18:55]general not literally wings as in i don't expect to see jaffa

[18:58]flying around jenna while we're walking no rather the majesty that comes

[19:05]with the angels there's a certain majesty that comes with somebody like

[19:09]jafar tayyar killed jaffar killed and of course when jaffar was killed

[19:18]while the battle was taking place he was narrating what's happening imagine

[19:23]the prophet is in medina they are fighting in jordan and the

[19:26]prophet is telling everybody this is what's taking place because he has

[19:30]knowledge of the unseen of what allah gives him can be given

[19:35]in portions to the holy prophet peace be upon him and his

[19:39]family until when jaffa when the prophet heard that jaffa died it

[19:42]broke the heart of rasulullah to the extent you know when someone

[19:47]dies in our community we have a fighter for them we go

[19:50]to that it's a it's a reason that you go to send

[19:52]your condolences in some cases for men it's a reason to take

[19:56]a break from the misses at home as well but you have

[19:58]a fat huh and you go to the fight and when you

[19:59]go to that fight how one thing you also want is good

[20:03]food and then fight huh who do you think cook the food

[20:09]when jaffa taya died for their family she helped asthma they had

[20:17]the young abdullah as one of their sons she helps she cook

[20:21]food three days in a row because sometimes in her people say

[20:23]this for water had too many three days just to one day

[20:29]jaffa died three days for him and food was being served and

[20:32]people were coming honoring jaffar but there wasn't necessarily as many people

[20:37]honoring zaid or honoring abdullah in but those three in that army

[20:41]gave their lives away there are others i could name another 9

[20:44]10 who gave their lives away and the muslims instead of continuing

[20:48]to fight khalid decided let's go back he took the army back

[20:52]with him and you know when the army went back they entered

[20:55]medina and the people of medina were like you're the ones who

[20:58]flew away and ran away while those guys were martyred well if

[21:02]you're going to be the sword of allah there has to be

[21:05]a reason that you're the sword i'm not understanding it and i

[21:09]see jaffar martyred i see zade martyred i say abdullah bin rahamata

[21:12]then i see you coming back then again if you're the ones

[21:17]who control the media then you can make this one become the

[21:20]truthful and that one separates the good and bad and that one

[21:22]is the sword and that one is shaytan becomes a habit of

[21:29]rahman and so on and so forth you begin to see that

[21:32]they came back and when they came back into the area people

[21:34]turned around and what did the people say the two people came

[21:38]back while those people lost their lives the holy prophet tried to

[21:41]calm everyone down and the holy prophet had made it clear that

[21:43]look what they did to us is a lesson for us as

[21:47]well and in the future they will not come on to our

[21:50]territory in that way and truly they never came back on the

[21:52]territory in that way the question arises then that why osama the

[21:58]one to lead because his father zaid bin haritha got killed by

[22:05]these people so rasul allah placed osama to be the leader first

[22:10]question what's the first question that we need to ask here or

[22:15]sam have been said has any pedigree in war has zenyatta okay

[22:19]i can understand that his dad got killed but you need someone

[22:23]experienced on the battlefield you can't have someone on the battlefield who's

[22:28]not that experienced oh osama had experience and his tutor was and

[22:32]if you're tutors then that's enough experience for you on the battlefield

[22:36]what was his experience on the battlefield at honain when he sees

[22:44]someone he wants to get rid of his race yes get out

[22:54]and the battle of hunain when the oppositions of the arabs marched

[22:58]on the muslims how many of them ran away on this day

[23:57]day but who was with imam ali who were the ones who

[23:58]remained loyal while the others ran away one of them was osama

[24:03]he remained loyal he was only 15 years of age but you

[24:07]could be a 15 year old and on your cv you've never

[24:11]ran away from war and you could be at 60 and every

[24:13]battle you ran away from 15 years old and he never once

[24:19]ran away from the battlefield he was there with imam salam therefore

[24:22]if someone asks why the holy prophet would put this 18 year

[24:28]old to lead we reply by saying when he was 15 the

[24:30]rest of you ran away he remained firm if i now see

[24:33]if you remember all of us when we were at school you

[24:36]may find someone he's not the strongest guy in the world but

[24:39]he's always standing there till the end and then you see someone

[24:41]else biceps tricep six-pack the moment there's a battle he's run there's

[24:47]the one who doesn't have all of that but he's a firm

[24:49]contender in that battle i see osama bin zayed when i see

[24:53]him i see osama as somebody who's firmly in control of what

[24:57]he's doing and so the first reason is that the holy prophet

[25:41]of all of those who will stand in the way of ali

[25:44]see why did rasulullah insist on this battle for what reason the

[25:50]romans were entering medina nothing there was not even a preemptive there

[25:54]was nothing where you had a spy who was suddenly caught and

[25:56]what are you doing over here nothing at all why o prophet

[26:03]of god a week before you die you ask the whole of

[26:06]london to leave london why have you ever witnessed anything like this

[26:14]all of you muhajiroun get out of madina all of you go

[26:58]notice sarifa before it happens before that whole election happens where you

[27:07]do you think the prophet doesn't know what's about to happen so

[27:10]what does the prophet do in front of everybody everyone and all

[28:23]doesn't speak of his own will we are told that if you

[28:27]claim to love allah you follow him allah will love you you

[28:31]don't follow him on the other hand what are we told hurting

[28:34]him brings llana from allah in allah this is not uh she

[28:58]has because this is not love habibi allah subhana wa tahal in

[29:05]the quran 114 surahs 113 he started with love bismillah rahim one

[29:09]of them he said no love don't you start every sword i

[29:18]love love love love no there's one surah no way why this

[29:21]quraysh who have heard my prophet no way will i show love

[29:26]to them no way.

[29:31]because he hurt rasulullah therefore that means anyone who hurts rasulullah there

[29:36]has to be from us towards them i get closer to them

[29:52]through holding on to them and dissociating from their enemies the quran

[29:57]said those who hurt allah and his prophet if now i your

[30:08]prophet say to you bring me a pen and paper and you

[30:12]turn around and say quran's enough for us who will enter when

[30:17]you say quran's enough for us that means those muslims now in

[30:19]the 21st century who say we don't need hadith quran's enough you've

[30:21]given them all the ammunition in the world secondly how's the quran

[30:25]enough for us is they do you have their opinion on quran

[30:27]ismaili have their opinion on quran salafi you have their opinion in

[30:30]the quran sunni has his opinion how was the quran enough the

[30:37]quran without a guardian can never be enough there has to be

[30:39]a hajj alongside the quran but when your prophet tells you something

[30:42]and you turn around to him and say no no the quran

[30:45]is enough for us when you fight in front of him does

[30:49]this not hurt him when you cause a quarrel it doesn't hurt

[30:53]him when he tells you to do something and you blatantly don't

[30:56]do it oh what do you begin to do you begin to

[31:00]be very slow in replying back to him because you know the

[31:03]holy prophet peace be upon him his family the monday before the

[31:07]monday that he died he made it clear everybody in medina has

[31:11]to join osama's army only stays behind everybody else has to go

[31:21]so what if rasulullah told me to follow an 11 year old

[31:27]i would follow if he told me to follow a five-year-old i

[31:30]would follow because and nebula the prophet has a greater right to

[31:36]the believer than they have over themselves and the quran says i

[31:40]cannot pick and choose because sometimes that's the problem we have as

[31:43]muslims we pick and choose of islam what suits us what suits

[31:48]us outside of the holy prophet i have to follow in every

[33:07]believe that man receives wife from the heavens you would never open

[33:10]your mouth unless you don't believe in the jibrael that comes to

[33:17]him and rather you believe unless you believe that there was no

[33:25]why there was no revelation whatsoever because if my prophet has said

[33:29]to you that's the leader because everyone tells me that nobody was

[33:32]as great as abu bakr alongside rasulullah an 18 year old leads

[33:35]him so how do i follow him if an 18 year old

[33:42]led imam ali i'd have to ask questions because i'd be like

[33:46]hold on a minute imam ali is being led by an 18

[33:48]no there's no chance in hell that osama bin zayed can lead

[33:57]ali it's impossible but others well then you're in the world of

[34:01]fallibles again and when you're in the world outside of azab it's

[34:06]open game now you're in the world of fallibles why should you

[34:13]be more than him for what reason you're not my son he's

[34:18]not muslim what makes you better on a different level to everyone

[34:28]else otherwise you're both not mushroom if abu bakr is the greatest

[34:34]alongside the prophet surely why would the prophet put him under the

[34:37]command of an eighteen-year-old another excuse they were pulling was what how

[34:42]could we be led by someone who's the son of an ex-slave

[34:50]at the end of the day we are being led by the

[34:54]son of zaid who was like the adopted son of rasulullah he's

[34:56]like what's going on here this is not the order of aristocracy

[35:00]that we were accepting when the prophet saw this even though he's
