[0:30]salawat from mammad and Al Muhammad respected Scholars brothers and sisters over

[0:45]the last few nights we discussed the Hadith of IM where he

[0:53]mentions the most important blessings that we human beings can be blessed

[0:58]with by Allah asael the Imam began by mentioning one blessing and

[1:04]then following that blessing with a more important blessing the Imam said

[1:13]amongst the great benefactions of Allah is abundance of wealth and we

[1:17]discussed that and then the Imam moved on to number two he

[1:26]said and a that is greater than an abundance of wealth is

[1:31]what is being healthy being void of sicknesses and diseases and we

[1:40]discussed that there's another variation of this Hadith where the Imam mentions

[1:43]the same thing but he mentions it in the opposite way he

[1:46]says that one of the most difficult trials that Allah can hold

[1:55]the human being can afflict the human being with is Al the

[2:00]Imam in this Hadith says so the first variation one of the

[2:06]greatest is abundance of wealth now he says the opposite he says

[2:13]one of the greatest trials that Allah can test me with is

[2:16]poverty then the Imam says and what is more is sickness and

[2:27]disease of the body then the Imam and we talked about all

[2:34]of this of Allah subhana tala and also the most difficult you

[2:39]know what is more difficult than being sick you know what's more

[2:45]difficult than having to deal with diseases and illnesses and going to

[2:49]the doctors and surgeries and Medicine he says what's worse than that

[3:01]is when our heart hearts become sick and thus the greatest says

[3:06]after abundance of wealth after you have the health of your body

[3:11]the greatest that Allah can give you is the health of your

[3:18]heart and when we read the Quran we see that Allah subhah

[3:24]wa ta'ala speaks about some healthy heart and others a sick heart

[3:28]for example he says in the Holy Quran on the day of

[3:39]judgment your money and children will not help you only one thing

[3:42]will help you if you come with a healthy heart with a

[3:46]PO heart with a clean heart and in some other verses have

[3:52]diseases in their hearts there's at least I found maybe 12 or

[3:57]13 verses where Allah subhana wa tala does mention that in one

[4:03]verse Allah that live during the time of when a new verse

[4:09]would come down when jbra would reveal a new verse some individuals

[4:15]they would ask a question the Quran says when a new verse

[4:23]come down comes down this new verse which amongst you of the

[4:33]companions of the Prophet did this verse increase their Iman they saw

[4:42]more signs from Allah Asel they saw a miracle or they saw

[4:45]a prophecy or whatever it may been any of the verses that

[4:49]came down so some individuals would ask who amongst you is now

[4:55]at a higher level of Iman because of this new verse the

[5:01]Quran then replies the Quran says there were two types of people

[5:05]around the prophet as for those that believed the Iman really was

[5:12]in their heart those individuals that had Iman a new verse came

[5:22]down from Allah and their Iman became stronger but then there was

[5:26]another group these individuals Allah calls those that had a disease in

[5:34]their heart as for those whose Hearts were ill sick diseased when

[5:44]a new verse comes down what happens the Quran is supposed to

[5:47]be a book of guidance so when a new verse comes down

[5:51]it's supposed to take you closer to Allah and farther away further

[5:58]away from immorality from evil but Allah says some people because their

[6:03]hearts were diseased and Ill when a new verse would come down

[6:06]what would happen when a new verse would come down these people

[6:20]were not Believers these people were evil and when a new verse

[6:24]would come down they would become even more evil so the fact

[6:30]that there's Maneuvers coming down not only does it not help them

[6:33]it makes them worse because now their animosity against the prophet and

[6:37]Islam would intensify their Envy would become more their hatred would strengthen

[6:45]so each verse that would come down a verse from Allah that

[6:50]Allah Asel says the Quran is supposed to be a book of

[6:52]guidance if you are having issues with your faith with doubt with

[7:00]your belief if you're having any type of moral problems in your

[7:03]life the Quran is a book that is supposed to heal that

[7:09]is supposed to guide you Allah mentions guidance twice when he says

[7:17]the Quran came down the month of Ramadan it's not just guidance

[7:25]to the people it's guidance to the people and it is a

[7:29]book where by you can distinguish between and but some individuals the

[7:37]verse comes down you give them the Quran and they became worse

[7:42]not only like I said it didn't help them but in fact

[7:50]they regressed their evil became much worse Allah subhana wa tala speaks

[7:54]about these individuals who are these individuals and why did this happen

[7:59]to them we'll get to this inshallah but the point is the

[8:01]sickness Brothers and Sisters of the heart is the most destructive sickness

[8:08]that we human beings can face and that's because what it does

[8:13]to you is something as holy as the Quran which is supposed

[8:17]to guide you you give it to someone he becomes more unguided

[8:21]he becomes more misguided he drowns even deeper into the world of

[8:28]sins and immorality and disol why it's because there's a disease that

[8:34]disease can take whatever is good and turn it into even more

[8:40]evil you've seen some individuals how they you misuse the Quran misinterpret

[8:45]the Quran you've seen for example some of those Isis Fighters and

[8:50]and extremists right they'll read a verse from the Quran and then

[8:53]they will commit their atrocities how did the Quran guide these individuals

[8:57]didn't guide them the Quran in fact as the Quran itself says

[9:04]they're evil and now they become more evil but is the problem

[9:08]with the Quran of course not the problem is it with the

[9:11]Quran the problem is their hearts are sick and when the hearts

[9:16]are diseased you put something good in it it turns it into

[9:19]something evil if they do not cure their hearts first there's no

[9:23]point let them listen to the entire Quran how many people came

[9:28]to fighto the Abu J and the Abu sufyan and so on

[9:32]and so forth they heard all those verses of the Quran and

[9:36]every time they became greater enemies to so the Quran speaks about

[9:44]the sickness of the heart now there's a few questions we have

[9:48]to address number one what is meant by the heart here the

[9:54]heart may have one of four meanings and these meanings most of

[10:01]them are mentioned are used in the Quran and some of them

[10:04]may not the first meaning of heart is what many of us

[10:09]use is the most obvious and common meaning of the word heart

[10:13]which is that vital organ inside you that vital organ inside you

[10:20]that keeps you alive and that pumps blood so the physical heart

[10:23]this is one meaning of heart does Allah when he says some

[10:34]individuals whose Hearts were diseased and on the day of judgment those

[10:39]that whose hearts are are clean are pure are healthy they will

[10:43]find Salvation as Allah speaking about this type of heart so that

[10:50]means if you had no cholesterol for example if all your arteries

[10:55]were perfectly opened and you did not have any heart disease this

[10:59]is the one that will make it safe on the day of

[11:02]judgment and if your arteries and your veins and your heart is

[11:07]filled with cholesterol and blockages and all that stuff that individual you

[11:11]read him the Quran and he'll just get worse obviously not that

[11:14]has nothing to do with this so this is not the meaning

[11:18]of heart that Allah subhana wa ta'ala is speaking about when it

[11:22]comes to the sickness of the heart the second meaning of heart

[11:27]of the word heart is a more fig itive meaning heart can

[11:34]be used to express emotions and feelings what do I mean if

[11:39]I tell you I love you from the bottom of my heart

[11:43]what do I mean I mean that organ of Mind in the

[11:48]bottom of it there's a place specifically for you no I mean

[11:53]if it was that if it wasn't that way then I would

[11:55]have to say I love you from the top of my heart

[11:58]not from the bottom of my heart right bottom is always left

[12:03]for the last so when you tell someone I love you from

[12:05]the bottom of my heart it just means I love you you

[12:10]know deeply it's just a figure of speech heart and emotions or

[12:14]for example you say I went to a program and then when

[12:24]the program ended I left with a heavy heart what does that

[12:27]mean you gained weight you your heart weighed one pound and then

[12:33]when you left it was like a pound and a half obviously

[12:35]not you mean you're sad because of the program finished right Shah

[12:42]this applies to to all of us here I hope or another

[12:44]example is we can say that the speaker not me another speaker

[12:51]captured the hearts of the people right what does that mean which

[12:55]heart it all means their emotions and their feelings this is the

[12:59]second meaning of the word heart or he broke my heart for

[13:04]example is the Quran speaking about this meaning of heart no those

[13:11]individuals on the day of judgment that come with a pure heart

[13:13]that come with a healthy heart versus those that whose hearts are

[13:16]diseased it doesn't mean emotions and feelings this is not what the

[13:22]Quran is speaking about so let's go to the third meaning of

[13:25]the word heart this third meaning is used in the Quran the

[13:30]heart is used in the Quran sometimes to mean the intellect intellect

[13:38]and heart intellect and these two sometimes in the Quran are used

[13:44]inter changeably for example Allah subhah wa tala says in the Holy

[13:52]Quran they have hearts they have hearts but they do not understand

[13:59]understand but they do not comprehend they cannot use their hearts to

[14:04]understand do you use your heart to understand or your intellect intellect

[14:09]so when the prophet speaks to them when he's ex exhorting when

[14:13]the holy prophet sallallahu alaih wasallam is trying to preach to those

[14:17]people Allah subhana wa tala says the problem the problem behind why

[14:25]they do not get affected they don't get moved is because their

[14:29]Hearts don't work their hearts don't comprehend and understand the word heart

[14:35]means intellect here there's something wrong with their intellect their intellect is

[14:40]blocked they're like drunk individuals you know how someone when they're intoxicated

[14:45]how their judgment is impaired their intellect becomes weak this is how

[14:51]some people were in front of s Al wasallam they saw Miracles

[14:54]they saw the most beautiful words and from but yet just didn't

[15:00]it resonate and they have eyes but they cannot see what does

[15:09]that mean they're blind no no they could see physically the Quran

[15:12]is speaking about the sight of the heart and I'll speak more

[15:17]about this tomorrow inshallah because your heart has eyes and ears brothers

[15:22]and sisters as we will explain inshallah and this is mentioned in

[15:26]numerous Traditions from the your heart has eyes and ears and the

[15:29]eyes and the ears of the heart they are different than the

[15:35]your physical eyes and ears your physical eye will see your physical

[15:38]ear will see will will uh will listen and will hear but

[15:44]you just won't get it unless it won't click unless the the

[15:50]ear and the eye of the heart is working that's why in

[15:54]many verses in the Quran Allah subh T says how do some

[15:56]people doubt that there's a Creator just look at the V Universe

[16:01]who's moving all these planets who's Rising the Sun every day and

[16:04]setting it everything is in a constant state of motion are they

[16:10]blind they're not blind well they can see it what's the problem

[16:13]seeing it and then registering that okay there's a there's an effect

[16:19]that has to be a cause there's motion there has to be

[16:23]someone putting it in motion why did they not see that because

[16:28]the heart the eyes of their heart are blind and the ears

[16:32]of their heart are deaf like I said we'll go over that

[16:36]more tomorrow so this is one verse where Allah subhah wa ta'ala

[16:40]in the Holy Quran uses the word but he doesn't mean your

[16:47]physical heart nor does he mean your emotions he means rather your

[16:52]intellect there's another verse in the Holy Quran where Allah subhah wa

[16:59]tala says Allah has not given any individual Allah has not placed

[17:09]inside any individual two hearts now what does the word heart mean

[17:13]here there's a difference there's a disagreement between the MU of the

[17:20]Quran most of the MU they considered the word heart obviously not

[17:23]the physical heart Allah did not Place give you two hearts what

[17:26]is that supposed to mean it means intellect and what Allah means

[17:38]by intellect is that you cannot focus on two things at once

[17:45]you cannot be consumed by two things at once if one thing

[17:50]is consuming your intellect you will be distracted from everything else and

[17:56]that's why when we human beings are distracted by The Dun when

[18:03]the duny consumes us and it owns our heart it's not necessarily

[18:06]just emotions here it's not just emotions and feeling it's more than

[18:10]that then you cannot focus on Allah anymore you can't say I

[18:17]love the D and I love Allah you can't say that I

[18:20]believe in the D and I believe in the I believe in

[18:27]both of them meaning that both of them I'm trying to be

[18:29]very successful in and both of them are on my to-do list

[18:34]and I'm trying to equally be successful in both it's not possible

[18:38]why the Quran says because Allah hasn't given you two hearts you

[18:43]can only be consumed by one thing either Allah Allah the or

[18:49]the yes theoretically you can say why can't I have both why

[18:53]can't I have the best D and the best theoretically yes you

[18:56]should be able but the problem is this dun is so intoxicating

[19:04]and it's so deceptive that once you seek it you will forget

[19:09]about the it's very very hard very difficult for any individual to

[19:16]say I can successfully do both be passionate about the duny and

[19:20]be passionate about Allah so this is another meaning of the word

[19:24]heart but this meaning is also not meant in our discussion when

[19:32]Allah says does he mean that in their intellect there is a

[19:37]disease their intellect is sick it's not healthy it's not properly functioning

[19:42]no so what does Allah subhana Wa ta'ala mean by in these

[19:46]verses Scholars of the Quran the MU mention that what Allah means

[19:54]by disease of the heart having a pure heart coming to Allah

[20:01]on the day of judgment with a healthy heart is this fourth

[20:05]meaning the heart means your spirit means your soul we human beings

[20:11]have a body and we have a soul your body can get

[20:16]sick and that's what we spoke about yesterday those are the physical

[20:19]illnesses and diseases that Allah afflicts us with and we said that

[20:25]for a Believer is Mercy physical illness can be Mercy for us

[20:31]we said Allah gives you a reward for it Allah subhana T

[20:33]forgives your sins from it but at the same time that we

[20:40]have bodies we have souls we have the r that the Quran

[20:44]speaks about they ask the prophet what is this R the prophet

[20:53]says this is from the matters of Allah subhana wa tala meaning

[20:56]that we can't even comprehend we don't even have the necessary tools

[21:02]to really understand and dissect what the Soul and Spirit is until

[21:08]today science sometimes we'll be skeptical of the r does the r

[21:12]even exist do we even have souls and if we do they

[21:16]don't know much about it because the Quran says this is the

[21:18]domain of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so when Allah subhah wa ta'ala

[21:25]says that these people there is a disease or sickness in their

[21:29]soul in their heart Allah subhanahu wa taala means in their soul

[21:33]just like your body can get sick your soul can get sick

[21:39]but IM says but the sickness of the heart meaning the soul

[21:48]is much worse than the sickness of the body the sickness of

[21:54]the body in fact could be Mercy from Allah to you to

[21:56]forgive your sins to elevate your status but the sickness of the

[22:02]Soul unfortunately always leads the human being to terrible outcomes now how

[22:11]does the heart become sick physically we know how if you don't

[22:21]maintain a proper diet if you don't exercise if you smoke if

[22:31]you eat too much fatty foods and sugars and whatever that will

[22:36]affect your heart's Health but physically but how does someone's spiritual heart

[22:43]meaning their spirit and soul become sick Allah gives us examples in

[22:49]the Holy Quran when Allah gives you these examples he wants you

[22:54]to pay attention he wants you to be careful not to follow

[23:00]in the same problems of those individuals because if you thought that

[23:04]the diseases of the heart the physical diseases were dangerous Allah Asel

[23:11]says then you haven't seen anything yet because if God afflicts someone

[23:18]or if someone has a spiritual disease in their heart this is

[23:24]much more difficult to get rid of and the risks that I

[23:30]my face from the spiritual diseases in my heart are much greater

[23:35]because your physical heart what's the worst thing that can happen if

[23:40]your physical heart is not healthy what's the worst thing you won't

[23:46]have some Kebab for dinner for right you won't have some or

[23:51]let's say you didn't care and you kept on eating all those

[23:56]Foods the worst thing that can happen is a heart attack and

[23:58]what happens if you have a heart attack go to the hospital

[24:03]what's the worst thing that happens if you go to the hospital

[24:06]H you can't pay the bills no you die the worst harm

[24:14]that you can see from the physical heart's disease there's death you

[24:19]move from this life to the next life this worthless life that

[24:27]Allah develop vales that's the worst thing that can happen that's not

[24:31]something you should do by the way but if if your heart

[24:41]becomes sick meaning your spiritual heart your soul becomes sick you know

[24:46]what you can lose you can lose your you can use your

[24:51]you can lose your next life you can waste the life that

[24:59]Allah subhana created you for the eternal life of the Hereafter see

[25:06]what Allah says in the Holy Quran Allah says this D it's

[25:11]not even a life it's just a game and waste of time

[25:13]and a distraction the true here it's notan never read this verse

[25:24]hwan you'll be doing kuur if you saywan there's and there's there's

[25:30]just one one that differentiates them means what animalan means what life

[25:39]so if you call someone One Day by mistake hwan he says

[25:42]what did you say say I said Haan you know you're you're

[25:46]living don't do that by the way but that's a way out

[25:49]if you were really stuck if you blurted it out and you

[25:51]didn't and you couldn't hold yourself so Allah says the true life

[25:57]is not even this this is not even life this is like

[25:58]a dream the true life is the next one don't waste it

[26:03]so sicknesses of the disease are dangerous why because they can ruin

[26:11]your entire which is your life Allah says in the Holy Quran

[26:14]when some people die and they're placed in the grave when they

[26:20]see how they wasted their D and their life and they never

[26:23]tried enough to seek nearness to Allah and do good deeds and

[26:30]invest in their you know what they say the Quran says they

[26:33]say it with complete sorrow and regret I wish I would have

[26:41]invested more in my life what does he mean is I wish

[26:48]I would have invested and done more for my life meaning this

[26:51]isn't even life you think this is lie 50 60 70 80

[26:56]years you think that's a lie a lie filled with pain and

[26:57]disease disease and sickness and violence look at what's happening in Gazza

[27:01]right now and the whole world is watching and doing nothing this

[27:07]is not life this is a world filled with zombies where are

[27:09]these living human beings to go and stop the tragedies in Gaz

[27:15]there are there are a few living individuals who Allah subhana wa

[27:18]T has given them true life like you Believers here but the

[27:20]majority of this world are dead brothers and sisters just because you

[27:23]breathe and your heart pumps blood does not mean you are living

[27:29]when your soul is dead when morality when decency when mercy is

[27:35]dead so this is not even life a place where such tragedies

[27:39]happen and no one can stop it is not a place where

[27:44]you can even consider life call it death call it a graveyard

[27:48]so Allah subhah wa ta'ala in the Holy Quran he gives us

[27:55]some examples of individuals whose Hearts were diseased certain diseases of the

[28:03]heart and Allah's message to us is beware not to follow in

[28:06]those footsteps I'll go over some of them tonight and we will

[28:09]finish inshallah tomorrow night Muhammad Muhammad one example where Allah subhanahu wa

[28:24]ta'ala refers to some individuals as having sick hearts is whenever Allah

[28:33]speaks about the the Hypocrites Allah subhana wa tala says in the

[28:40]Holy Quran there are some individuals who say we believe in Allah

[28:50]and we believe in the Hereafter in the day of judgment but

[28:55]the Quran says but they're Liars they're hypocrites they lie they say

[29:01]one thing and believe in something else they try to fool Allah

[29:14]and the Believers they try to deceive Allah and the Believers but

[29:18]Allah says they're only deceiving themselves because Allah knows everything and then

[29:23]Allah subhana wa tala ends the verse in this way Allah subhah

[29:27]wa tala says him what's wrong with these people these Hypocrites why

[29:34]do they tell the prophet we believe but they're not Believers when

[29:38]they go back home they're not believers they show one thing they

[29:41]portray one thing but they hide something else Allah says it's simple

[29:48]because these people are sick they're ill but not their body their

[29:54]soul their hearts are ill and these individuals brothers and sisters Allah

[30:02]subhah wa ta'ala so eloquently uses the example of being ill because

[30:09]when you look at hypocrisy and you examine it it is a

[30:15]disorder why because what does a hypocrite do a hypocrite is someone

[30:24]whose interior is not aligned with their exterior their interior is this

[30:27]way their exterior I is that way and there's many types of

[30:34]Hypocrites by the way Allah speaks about one type of Hypocrites in

[30:37]the Quran here that's the most obvious type of NF which is

[30:40]those individuals who don't believe a son in Allah or in Islam

[30:45]or in the prophet but they act and pretend like they are

[30:47]believers a whole chapter in the Quran was brought down to speak

[30:54]about these individuals and to condemn them but that's not the only

[30:58]type of NF any time your interior and exterior are not aligned

[31:02]this is hypocrisy so for example one type of NF you believe

[31:09]you're not acting you're not pretending to believe so where is the

[31:16]hypocrisy andf in your Deeds there are some people everything they do

[31:23]is for a show everything they do is for recognition this is

[31:30]a form of hypocrisy why because your interior and exterior are not

[31:36]at the same page your exterior when you see that brother praying

[31:38]in the first line with the beautiful beard and the longb and

[31:42]hopefully not the short DH Dasha right we're not talking about that

[31:45]type when you see that individual praying what message does that convey

[31:52]what image does the public the exterior of that person convey that

[31:59]I'm such a holy person that I am doing this solely for

[32:01]Allah subh that's why people praise individuals people praise individuals who are

[32:07]always at the Masjid who are always attending who do the Adan

[32:12]who recite Quran who have a beautiful voice why do they praise

[32:16]that individual because automatically you assume that this person is doing this

[32:20]for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala but if I do something I want

[32:24]to do it for recognition I want to donate just to be

[32:27]recognized IED just so people speak about me and my contributions and

[32:35]my philanthropy this is a form of hypocrisy because your exterior should

[32:40]mean that this is all for Allah subhah wa taala but your

[32:44]interior is no you're a selfish being all you care about is

[32:49]what your ego all you care about is your reputation and being

[32:52]recognized this is a type of hypocrisy and that's why Allah subhana

[32:56]tala says in numerous that if you do any good deed for

[33:04]me Let It Be purely for me I don't want a deed

[33:06]that it's mixed some for me and some for someone else just

[33:10]leave it all for that person right now I want to come

[33:13]and I want to read Quran why I have two motives to

[33:14]please Allah and I want to please some sister who's attending because

[33:17]maybe she'll look at me and maybe she will consider marrying me

[33:21]Allah says I don't want that Quran give it all to that

[33:25]sister either give it purely to me or give it to whoever

[33:32]else you want the point is don't ask me for a reward

[33:37]your Salah your every deed that you do that's why we have

[33:40]numerous Traditions brothers and sisters that tell us when you do good

[33:43]deeds try your best to do them privately try your best to

[33:49]do them privately you gave a donation keep it Anonymous you're praying

[33:53]Sal you don't have to tell everybody you're reading a ofr why

[33:58]because the human being's ego is very strong and the shaan is

[34:04]there always to what to fool us and to play on that

[34:07]ego and to strengthen it so it's very easy for us to

[34:14]fall prey to our own ego even though I never wanted or

[34:20]intended this for the people but once people know about it I

[34:23]start feeling so proud and good and forget about Allah subhanahu wa

[34:27]ta'ala they told someone who always used to do R every day

[34:35]he would come and he would sit in the sah with his

[34:40]friends and he would tell them what he did the day before

[34:43]last night you know I prayed Sal and I recited this and

[34:49]and then I read du abali the next day he would come

[34:57]to last night I recited two Jas of the Quran and he

[35:00]would constantly speak about what he would do so they told him

[35:04]keep your The Good Deeds that you do keep it a secret

[35:09]between you and Allah because this will receive the most reward for

[35:13]example we have if you give s privately such that people don't

[35:21]know Allah rewards you more than a public s so everybody is

[35:24]knowing and clapping and cheering for you do it solely for Allah

[35:26]subhah waala so they told him don't mention kalas keep it private

[35:32]but it's very hard for some people to keep secrets right it's

[35:38]very hard so he came the next day he wanted to say

[35:40]last night they're going to get mad at me I can't say

[35:44]it but he just has to get it out of his chest

[35:47]so he starts telling them can you please bring bring me water

[35:49]they bring him water he starts drinking finishes the first book can

[35:53]you bring me a second water or third so they ask him

[35:54]what's wrong with you say I can't tell you what do you

[35:57]mean I can't tell us what's wrong with with you you'll get

[35:59]upset if I tell you what's wrong with you are you okay

[36:02]are you sick you know after reading five Jas of the Quran

[36:08]you get thirsty so he managed to tell them what he did

[36:11]in a very clever way so I don't know is it because

[36:15]I was fasting today inallah this is not that I keep on

[36:17]drinking water but I hope inshallah it is notam mam so anyway

[36:28]we said there's two types of or more than one type of

[36:33]hypocrisy one is the the type that Allah speaks about in the

[36:36]Quran which is those who disbelieve but they pretended to believe another

[36:40]type is those individuals who act as if everything is for Allah

[36:45]but they're looking for recognition this is another type and a third

[36:51]type brothers and sisters and this is very problematic this is what

[36:56]many of us struggle with a third type of NF and hypocrisy

[37:03]where Allah Asel considers as a disease of the heart is hypocrisy

[37:07]in our conduct not in our belief or in our Good Deeds

[37:13]but in our conduct what do I mean there are some people

[37:17]who are two-faced two-faced I don't mean the Joker two-faced is his

[37:23]name Twoface or the Joker what's his name Twoface right yeah and

[37:27]Batman so anyway let's go back toity there are some people who

[37:34]have two faces what does that mean that means in front of

[37:37]you they will commend you they will praise you they will pretend

[37:46]as if they love you but behind your back you they're speaking

[37:59]negatively here this person is committing two sins you know that because

[38:03]number one he's doing that's Haram you're not supposed to speak negatively

[38:07]against anyone I don't care if it's real even if it's true

[38:10]some people when you tell them don't do it well I'm not

[38:12]lying I know you're not lying is when you tell the truth

[38:16]but it's something negative behind someone's back don't talk about it but

[38:21]the second sin here which makes it even uglier is the hypocrisy

[38:27]after speaking a against that person behind his back you come and

[38:30]you act as if you're their friend you deceive them you fool

[38:36]them so wait you mean I should stab them again when I'm

[38:39]in front of them and I curse them behind their back and

[38:43]in front of them no at least be a man and a

[38:48]woman whatever that means today when you're in front of that individual

[38:51]and you can't stand them right don't exaggerate your fake love for

[38:56]that person this is ugly yes be polite be nice but do

[39:03]not show a different face such that if that person finds out

[39:06]they'll see you as a hypocrite maybe I have a valid reason

[39:12]why I don't like this person that's okay but do not overdo

[39:15]it when you see that person such that people say what's going

[39:20]on this person is two- faced he says he says the worst

[39:32]of the vices the worst way in which we conduct each other

[39:38]is conduct ourselves is what is how is when we have the

[39:40]Imam says when we have two faces hypocrisy and there are Traditions

[39:46]that state there are people on the day of judgment that will

[39:49]be resurrected with two faces or two tongues so you can easily

[39:52]spot the hypocrite the one who was in front of you flattering

[39:58]you behind your back stabbing you this is a form of hypocrisy

[40:01]you know why this is hypocrisy do you know why this is

[40:05]a form of disease have you heard of bipolar disorder why is

[40:11]it a disorder because one day you're Ahmed the other day you're

[40:15]John right that's bipolar disorder which one are you this one or

[40:21]that one hypocrisy is a form of bipolar disorder but it's not

[40:24]a mental disorder it's a spiritual disorder that's why Allah considers as

[40:29]a disease you really need help aaf needs help needs treatment but

[40:32]who treats them not doctors spiritual doctors as we said the prophet

[40:39]and the imams and their words in the Quran I'll end with

[40:44]this no because I'm out of time there is another concept that

[40:48]is called in the of Ethics muj some people think that this

[40:53]is hypocrisy what is muj is when you're nice and polite with

[41:02]someone even though even though you may not be honest what do

[41:08]I mean let's say someone brings me piece of cake they tell

[41:13]me say it I made this cake specifically for you please can

[41:17]you try it I have to try it in front of them

[41:20]right and I eat it and it tastes horrible what do I

[41:24]say do I be honest here this is horrible obviously not what

[41:27]do I do I say thank you so much it's you know

[41:31]ald it's good is that okay this is and it's okay as

[41:36]long as you don't exaggerate don't say this is the best cake

[41:39]I've ever had in my life did you bring this from Jenna

[41:46]don't overdo it so don't tell the truth because here the truth

[42:16]order to benefit you're a selfish individual you're either someone who is

[42:22]a coward or you're someone who's selfish like politicians right they tell

[42:26]you something and they don't even believe even they just want your

[42:30]vote but here the reason why you're not being honest is not

[42:33]because you're selfish because you're selfless you're thinking about the feelings of

[42:38]that person so that's why here this is not considered as so

[42:42]this is the first example brothers and sisters that Allah subhana wa

[42:47]tala speaks about in the Holy Quran and he shows us that

[42:51]this is a real spiritual disease that can afflict the heart seek

[42:55]refuge in Allah subhana from this type of disease whether it is

[43:00]the traditional type of NF hypoc hypocrisy that the Quran speaks about

[43:05]you pretend to believe and you don't or it's in your Deeds

[43:09]like r or it's in our conduct which is when we have

[43:14]two faces when we try to flatter people just because we want

[43:18]some benefits from them this is a vice and this is a

[43:23]disease of the heart tomorrow inshallah we will continue to speak about

[43:27]more more of the sicknesses of the heart and we will speak

[43:31]about the cures the treatments how does someone treat these diseases of

[43:39]the heart so that they do not lose Allah and their may

[43:42]Allah bless you all may Allah accept your provide you with health
