[0:01][music] [music] I begin in the name of the Almighty God, the
[0:21]compassionate, the merciful, the one who has created everything in utmost perfection
[0:29]And may the peace and blessings of the almighty God be upon
[0:34]his pure and beloved messenger, the peak of his creation, the symbol
[0:42]of humanity, the holy prophet Muhammed and his immaculate progeny of the
[0:56]B peace be upon them, especially the leader of our time, the
[1:01]awaited savior Ali, may Allah hasten his reappearance and make us all
[1:10]among his sincere and dedicated servants.
[1:13]Respected brothers and sisters, we humans think that if we live a
[1:30]life without any challenges achieving full material comfort, then we will have
[1:39]a wonderful utopian society.
[1:41]If we have no poverty, if we have no struggles, no difficulties,
[1:49]full access to resources, then we will live the best life.
[1:55]Our societies will be the best societies.
[1:58]This is what we think.
[2:00]However, a famous interesting experiment challenges this view and it revealed some
[2:12]very disturbing results.
[2:14]This experiment is known as universe 25 also known as mousetopia.
[2:24]This was conducted between 1950 and 1970.
[2:30]During these two decades, there was a scientist by the name of
[2:39]John Calhoun in Maryland.
[2:39]He worked with the US Institute of Mental Health.
[2:46]He did a series of experiments on mice, on rodents, and he
[2:53]wanted to create a utopia for the rodents to put them in
[2:59]the best society that they can have and see what kind of
[3:01]results would be seen.
[3:05]So he begins the experiment with four male mice and four female
[3:13]mice.
[3:15]And basically what he does with this experiment, he doesn't let the
[3:22]mice work hard for anything.
[3:25]He provides the food, the water.
[3:31]He gives them a very nice nesting place, controlled temperature.
[3:36]Everything was perfect, a utopia.
[3:39]What happened initially?
[3:42]In the beginning, it looked like a utopian, healthy society, an amazing
[3:48]society.
[3:50]The population exploded.
[3:55]These mice were having a blast.
[3:57]They don't need to struggle to get food, to get water.
[4:02]There are no predators, no dangers.
[4:05]Nothing was challenging their survival.
[4:09]Nothing was threatening their survival.
[4:11]So initially the population exploded and they were having a utopian society,
[4:21]a perfect healthy society.
[4:22]So the experiment started with eight mice, but within 18 months, a
[4:31]year and a half, the population exploded to over 2,200 mice because
[4:37]you had these perfect conditions.
[4:40]Guess what happened after that?
[4:43]To the surprise of scientists, just a couple of years later, this
[4:49]society of mice began to break down.
[4:54]The social roles started to break down and they saw some very
[5:01]disturbing behavior.
[5:02]A lot of the male mice, they started having feminine traits.
[5:09]They started to be obsessed with grooming themselves, not fighting at all,
[5:18]just acting very feminine.
[5:20]And a lot of the female mice, they started become to become
[5:26]masculine and aggressive.
[5:28]Their social roles broke down.
[5:32]The mothers started to abandon their babies.
[5:33]A lot of these mice, they became antisocial.
[5:37]Some of them became aggressive.
[5:40]And so soon after that utopia, everything broke down.
[5:48]Basically, you had a community of depressed mice and their survival was
[5:54]threatened.
[5:55]They almost went extinct.
[5:56]Their babies started to die.
[5:58]A lot of them did not even mate to have children.
[6:02]So this was a very interesting experiment done that when you put
[6:11]mice in perfect conditions their society breaks down they can't survive.
[6:18]Now when we look at an experiment like that there are very
[6:24]important conclusions for us for us human beings.
[6:25]Now yes obviously human beings are not mice but we are very
[6:32]similar.
[6:33]You know that more than 90% of the genes of mice are
[6:39]similar to the human being.
[6:40]And that's why when scientists and physicians and doctors they want to
[6:46]test a drug who do they test it on first usually which
[6:52]mammal?
[6:50]The mouse.
[6:52]Because the mouse is very similar to the human being.
[6:57]they try a lot of these drugs, medicines on the mice.
[7:00]If it works with them, that usually is a good indication that
[7:06]this could work on the human being as well.
[7:07]So when we see an experiment like that, we reach a very
[7:15]disturbing conclusion that when human beings are put in perfect conditions, you
[7:21]have unlimited access to whatever you want to resources.
[7:27]You are living a very comfortable life.
[7:31]Usually society begins to break down and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala refers
[7:40]to this in the holy Quran in surahus verse 58 Allah gives
[7:44]us a warning Allah subhana wa ta states how many villages towns
[7:58]cities populations perished and were destroyed because of a lifestyle.
[8:08]What does mean in the Holy Quran?
[8:11]But means arrogance that is caused by luxury.
[8:16]When you have too much comfort, too much luxury, you become arrogant.
[8:24]social roles get upended and society just breaks down.
[8:30]So Allah gives us a warning.
[8:34]Look at all those nations before you because of arrogance that came
[8:41]from luxury.
[8:39]They were destroyed.
[8:43]They fell.
[8:42]They were gone.
[8:52]Look at those villages.
[8:53]You can go and see ruins of past civilizations.
[8:58]They're gone.
[8:59]You can still see the ruins today.
[9:04]What happened to them?
[9:04]Why did they fall?
[9:05]The Roman civilization was one of the most powerful, strongest civilizations on
[9:11]earth.
[9:12]What happened to them?
[9:16]Many historians and scholars have tried to analyze why they fell.
[9:20]Now, a civilization does not fall for one reason.
[9:22]It could be a number of reasons but one primary reason was
[9:29]decadence.
[9:27]Those elites they had so much luxury they became arrogant society started
[9:36]to break down and this accelerated the downfall of the Roman civilization.
[9:40]Today if you go to Italy you go to Rome you can
[9:44]still see their ruins.
[9:46]I mean, you're looking at 2,000 years ago, these structures, who could
[9:53]build that.
[9:54]But this is what accelerated their downfall.
[9:57]And even in our Muslim history, we also have examples like the
[10:01]Abbasid Empire.
[10:02]The Abbassids were very strong militarily.
[10:05]They were among the strongest militaries in the world at the time.
[10:11]They had access to luxury.
[10:14]They had access to a strong economy.
[10:18]But then what happened to the Abbasids when the elites were so
[10:25]obsessed with their corruption, with their desires, with their ego and they
[10:30]engaged in so much injustice that accelerated their downfall.
[10:38]Who would think the Abbasid empire would fall?
[10:40]And that's how empires fall.
[10:46]This interesting mouse experiment demonstrates to us that when we human beings
[10:52]don't put a limitation to our ego, to our desires, when we
[11:00]have so much material comfort around us, what happens to us?
[11:07]We start destroying our own society.
[11:09]And today this describes the state of the world.
[11:14]Look at the US for instance, right?
[11:18]Their president keeps boasting we are the strongest nation on earth, the
[11:23]wealthiest nation on earth, the richest nation on earth.
[11:28]That's true.
[11:29]It is the nation with the most resources, with the strongest economy.
[11:34]But once the elites of any society, they develop that arrogance, they
[11:43]think they're invincible, they start to accelerate the downfall of their own
[11:51]society.
[11:50]We can see this level of arrogance today, brothers and sisters.
[11:54]And if you want to really analyze the crisis of the Epstein
[11:59]files, what is it all about?
[12:01]It's about a group of elite people in the political sphere, in
[12:08]the economic sphere, in the social sphere.
[12:10]Very powerful elite people who have access to whatever their desires want.
[12:18]They thought they would not get away with it and they committed
[12:23]the most heinous crimes.
[12:25]And society is shocked today.
[12:28]These were our leaders.
[12:29]We looked up to them.
[12:32]They were running our society.
[12:34]What happened politically?
[12:34]We voted for them.
[12:38]They run our banks.
[12:38]They run our economy and they committed such vicious crimes without any
[12:44]shame.
[12:44]People are shocked today.
[12:46]But this comes as not a surprise, brothers and sisters.
[12:51]The Quran 14 centuries ago warned us when you have this life
[12:58]of luxury and you leave it unchecked and you don't discipline your
[13:03]nefs and your desires you will destroy your own community.
[13:08]You will destroy the entire world and the world was waking up
[13:12]to that.
[13:13]And when they realized how serious this is to distract people what
[13:18]did they do?
[13:21]They started this war.
[13:20]now as a distraction because now no one's talking about the Epstein
[13:25]files anymore except a few.
[13:26]Whereas just a few weeks ago, everyone was obsessed with it.
[13:31]Everyone was talking about it.
[13:33]People were demanding justice and that threatened them.
[13:37]So how do you escape responsibility?
[13:38]Just start a war somewhere and that's how you evade responsibility.
[13:44]And even look at the title of the operation that they chose.
[13:49]You think this is random, right?
[13:51]Epstein files EP.
[13:53]If you want to search for it, somebody who's raging right now,
[13:56]you go on Google, right?
[13:59]You want to search what's going on with Epstein.
[14:01]What name did they choose for their operation?
[14:04]Epic Fury starts with the same letters.
[14:10]So now when you click EP, the search suggestion will give you
[14:13]something else.
[14:14]Not just Epstein files.
[14:15]it will give you something else to distract you with.
[14:18]And that's their strategy all the time to distract the masses.
[14:24]But this is very important for us respected brothers and sisters because
[14:28]we at a community level on an individual level we have a
[14:36]responsibility when we look at a phenomenon like that.
[14:37]It's a global problem.
[14:40]But this same problem exists in our homes if we don't discipline
[14:44]ourselves.
[14:45]We human beings when we have material comfort and we don't put
[14:52]limitations to our desires that's exactly what happens to us.
[15:00]Our roles break down.
[15:00]We develop disturbing behavior.
[15:02]We become depressed and we ruin our lives.
[15:06]Look at the mental health today of our communities around the world,
[15:11]especially among the younger generation.
[15:15]Many of you parents and grandparents, there is something that baffles you.
[15:21]When you were growing up, you were happier than your children and
[15:25]grandchildren.
[15:26]This is based on official statistics.
[15:28]You had a happier childhood.
[15:32]The rates of depression were less.
[15:35]loneliness and anxiety were less even though you had much less than
[15:45]your children and grandchildren today.
[15:46]This applies to many of you and you're wondering what's going on.
[15:51]My children, my grandchildren, they have 10 times more than what I
[15:58]had when I was growing up.
[15:58]And I was happier.
[16:02]I didn't complain as much.
[16:03]Whereas children these days, it's very difficult to satisfy them.
[16:09]It's very difficult for them to be content.
[16:10]And they're victims.
[16:12]We're not blaming them here.
[16:13]They're victims of the modern society.
[16:15]No matter what you do for them, what you give them, what
[16:21]you buy them, you don't really see that much appreciation.
[16:24]Why?
[16:26]It's because access to material comfort when it doesn't come with proper
[16:32]discipline, it actually becomes a curse on the human being and your
[16:39]life starts breaking down just like these mice.
[16:43]Again, we're not comparing humans to mice.
[16:46]But the human being without the discipline of the nef without piety
[16:50]and tawa is just like an animal.
[16:53]In fact, the Quran says worse than an animal.
[16:59]These people who follow their desires and don't discipline themselves, what happens
[17:05]to them?
[17:06]The Quran says they're like animals.
[17:08]In fact, they're even in a worse state than the animals.
[17:12]At least the animals, they're just doing their job.
[17:15]But the human being can use resources to oppress people to commit
[17:26]injustice to ruin his or her own life.
[17:28]So this is a very important lesson for us that if we
[17:33]have access to material comfort, we need to discipline ourselves.
[17:37]We need to make sure every single day that this access to
[17:45]material comfort is not ruining my life, the life of my family
[17:48]and the life of my society.
[17:49]So what do we do?
[17:53]How do we protect ourselves?
[17:54]Brothers and sisters, number one access to resources, you have more potential
[18:01]to do harm, to harm yourself and to harm those around you.
[18:07]Every single day we need to remind ourselves that Allah subhanahu wa
[18:10]ta'ala is monitoring us and he will hold us accountable remembering the
[18:17]constantly.
[18:19]The prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam he says if you want to
[18:28]achieve the level of those very truthful successful ones pious ones remember
[18:34]death 20 times a day can we do that not in a
[18:41]depressing way in an active positive way that this is my destination
[18:44]am I prepared for that or Oh, am I oppressing others?
[18:49]Is it worth it?
[18:49]Am I oppressing myself?
[18:52]Am I following my desires?
[18:53]Am I doing good with the resources that Allahh has given me?
[18:58]If you remember death 20 times a day, you can keep yourself
[19:02]in check.
[19:03]But there are times, days, and weeks go by and we don't
[19:08]really remember death.
[19:08]That's why it's highly recommended to visit the cemetery.
[19:11]When's the last time we visited the cemetery?
[19:14]Go to the cemetery.
[19:16]Check it out.
[19:17]See a new grave.
[19:18]Look at the dates of birth and the dates of death.
[19:21]You'll see people from all age groups.
[19:26]Have a keen in the house and in the room not, you
[19:32]know, tucked away somewhere in your closet.
[19:35]Do you know that looking at your keen is an act of
[19:39]ibada?
[19:39]Seeing seeing your kan with your eyes is an act of ibada
[19:43]according to our narrations.
[19:43]Why?
[19:44]because they remind you this is your destiny.
[19:48]These people causing all this destruction around the world in any country
[19:52]that you go to if they remember death 20 times a day
[19:57]and they see the kan you think they would do all this
[20:00]but we forget.
[20:01]We think we're invincible.
[20:02]We can get away with it.
[20:03]We're elites.
[20:05]Who can stop us?
[20:08]No one can stop us.
[20:09]That's the mentality that they develop.
[20:11]So the first step is to discipline yourself and monitor yourself.
[20:17]Realize that Allah subhana wa ta'ala is recording everything.
[20:24]Don't think Allah is oblivious.
[20:27]He's recording it.
[20:27]It's just a matter of time.
[20:29]Sometimes you'll see the consequence a day later, sometimes a week later,
[20:34]sometimes a year later, sometimes 30 years later, but you will see
[20:37]the consequence of your actions.
[20:39]So that's the first one.
[20:42]The first step to protect ourselves.
[20:44]The second step and here comes the role of fasting.
[20:46]Brothers and sisters, we need to go through difficulty and sometimes feel
[20:53]what it is to survive, to be in survival mode in order
[20:57]for us to behave.
[20:58]Otherwise, we don't behave.
[21:01]That's why Islam wants you 30 days out of the year to
[21:04]experience hunger.
[21:06]Hunger is good for the navs because when you experience pain and
[21:11]you remind yourself that I'm just a weak creature, who am I?
[21:18]That disciplines you.
[21:17]That does not allow you to break down like we saw in
[21:22]this experiment.
[21:23]When everything is perfect for you, you're living in perfect perfect conditions.
[21:28]you don't experience any problems, any physical, you know, challenges, then your
[21:35]life starts to break down.
[21:37]That's why in the month of Ramadan, don't try to come up
[21:43]with ways to avoid hunger.
[21:43]Wake up at 4:30 and just have a big meal, right?
[21:48]And then throughout the night, snack after snack, meal after meal.
[21:53]The sad reality is some of us we eat more in the
[21:57]month of Ramadan than other months.
[21:59]Come to the masjid.
[22:03]Enjoy the delicious.
[22:03]No doubt about that.
[22:06]But if we are overeing more than other months, we've defeated the
[22:12]purpose of the month of Ramadan.
[22:14]The month of Ramadan wants you to feel some hunger, to go
[22:19]through some difficulty.
[22:19]It's okay.
[22:20]Some of you, you know, you don't like the month of Ramadan.
[22:23]Not you here, but some people don't.
[22:26]I know some a friend who calls it the month of Maran.
[22:31]Yeah.
[22:32]Unfortunately, in Arabic, Maradavan means the month of sickness.
[22:36]Why?
[22:37]Because sometimes people they feel fatigued.
[22:40]You get this migraine.
[22:44]It's just annoying.
[22:43]You want your coffee.
[22:45]Brothers and sisters, it's good for us to go through difficulty.
[22:51]Even if you have a mild migraine, you miss your coffee, you
[22:57]miss whatever lifestyle that you do, this is good for you.
[23:00]That's how you tame the nef.
[23:04]If you let the nef get whatever it wants, that's when life
[23:07]breaks down.
[23:09]So in the month of Ramadan, live with the purpose of this
[23:14]month.
[23:15]Muslims around the world today, they've defeated the purpose of the month
[23:22]of Ramadan.
[23:21]Go to many Muslim countries.
[23:23]I don't need to mention names.
[23:26]Some of those rich countries.
[23:27]You know how many meals they have in the month of Ramadan.
[23:30]In some societies, they have three meals.
[23:34]All huge meals.
[23:37]One is the futur, right?
[23:40]You go to their diwania, you see 17 types of food.
[23:45]this much food and then 3 hours later there's another meal.
[23:48]Maybe someone can help me out.
[23:51]What do they call it?
[23:52]Yeah.
[23:55]What's the We're inventing new meals and this is like two hours
[24:01]afterar.
[24:01]It's not you know many hours later you go to the diwan.
[24:03]They've got this much food more and then there's the and then
[24:10]snacks in between.
[24:10]This is the month of Ramadan.
[24:11]Mashallah.
[24:14]Mashallah.
[24:16]Ramadan.
[24:15]The month of Ramadan is to train you.
[24:21]I know in some families if the mother doesn't cook two, three
[24:24]types of food, the household is upset.
[24:27]That's a shame.
[24:29]That's a shame.
[24:31]Inshah Ramadan your home and what you eat should be more humble
[24:34]than other months because that's the whole purpose of the month of
[24:39]Ramadan.
[24:38]Not to have the poor mothers work more in the kitchen.
[24:43]Okay, if she willingly wants to, that's fine.
[24:46]You know, serving your guests is also recommended, but you just have
[24:50]to strike a balance.
[24:51]The month of Ramadan saves your soul.
[24:57]It saves your mental health because it teaches you discipline.
[25:01]Every body part you need to discipline it.
[25:05]Make sure that it's in Allah's obedience.
[25:08]Make sure it's not doing something immoral from your eyes, from your
[25:12]ears, from your tongue, your body parts.
[25:15]Literally feel every cell in your body is fasting.
[25:16]That's the whole purpose of the month of Ramadan.
[25:18]Otherwise, society collapses.
[25:19]As we saw in the experiment, when you have everything, perfect conditions
[25:26]and whatever you want, you get it instantly, that's when society breaks
[25:31]down.
[25:32]Today, we are living a life of instant gratification.
[25:33]We want things instantly instantly.
[25:35]And we'll pay to get things instantly.
[25:39]Look at the, you know, structure of Amazon, for instance.
[25:44]Prime shipping.
[25:44]When's the fastest you can get a delivery here in the US?
[25:49]sometimes like within three hours you can get a delivery right in
[25:53]three hours here you can you know pay for that prime shipping
[25:56]and get it the same day the other day a brother was
[26:01]telling me he lived in Dubai for a while he says they've
[26:03]got this new thing where in 15 minutes they have to deliver
[26:08]it to you what's it called maybe someone knows in 15 minutes
[26:12]see brothers and sisters on the one hand you may think okay
[26:16]this is all great new services Yeah, but what is the consequence
[26:20]of living a lifestyle like that when we have no patience to
[26:27]wait for anything?
[26:26]If I don't get that item in 4 hours, I have a
[26:30]problem now in my life.
[26:31]I'll be dysfunctional.
[26:33]I'll be angry.
[26:33]And how many times have you been angry when it ships a
[26:37]bit later than expected?
[26:39]Right?
[26:40]We get angry.
[26:43]What happened?
[26:46]Why?
[26:44]What happened to your life right now?
[26:47]We're going to die right now if 3 hours it was delayed.
[26:51]When we live this life of instant grati gratification, that's when everything
[26:56]falls apart and everything breaks down.
[26:59]This is a reality that we are experiencing today respected brothers and
[27:04]sisters.
[27:05]So the month of Ramadan is a month to stop this madness
[27:10]to stop your family structure, your society from collapsing and getting destroyed.
[27:15]Another lesson that we learn from this mouse experiment is that these
[27:23]mice they suffered from overcrowding.
[27:25]Not necessarily physical overcrowding but social overcrowding.
[27:30]Today in our life we also experience social overcrowding.
[27:36]Not physically but on social media.
[27:42]We have no space for ourselves.
[27:43]Today, we live a life of social media.
[27:46]We're obsessed with social media.
[27:51]We're spending hours scrolling through social media.
[27:53]What do people think?
[27:57]The comments, the likes, the new trends.
[27:59]And the biggest disaster is when you hold your phone and you
[28:02]go on Instagram or Tik Tok and you don't have an objective,
[28:04]no purpose.
[28:07]You're just going and scrolling because those algorithms are written to addict
[28:13]you to hook you and then destroy your mental health.
[28:18]That's what they're written to do.
[28:20]So it becomes an obsession.
[28:21]If you use social media, use it but with purpose.
[28:25]You need to know how long are you going to use it
[28:29]and what exactly do you want to see.
[28:30]Know that before you use it.
[28:32]Otherwise you will harm your nefs.
[28:34]you will harm your soul.
[28:37]We need time to isolate from that world.
[28:40]The best thing you can do is go a week without social
[28:44]media.
[28:44]Can you do it?
[28:45]Can you?
[28:47]If you can do it, then you can save your nephs brothers
[28:51]and sisters.
[28:52]If you tell me, "No, no, no, I can't do it." That
[28:54]means I'm in a serious situation here.
[28:58]I need help.
[28:59]So you need to isolate from this social crowding on social media
[29:05]in order to recalibrate.
[29:08]And the month of Ramadan is the best month.
[29:11]Put everything away.
[29:11]Just sit in your room for just two, three hours.
[29:16]Just reflect.
[29:14]Speak to your Lord.
[29:18]Speak to your nephs.
[29:18]Evaluate where you are.
[29:21]Pray to Allah subhanana wa ta'ala.
[29:23]Read a few verses with reflection.
[29:25]We need that privacy in our life from the world and what
[29:32]the world is bombarding you with.
[29:33]So looking at an experiment like that brothers and sisters we have
[29:39]to do something to protect ourselves and we have to put ourselves
[29:43]in difficulty.
[29:45]If the human being does not put himself in difficulty his life
[29:48]or her life will break down.
[29:49]When you live a life that is purposeful from morning to night,
[29:56]you're doing something productive.
[29:57]You may get exhausted.
[29:59]You will get exhausted, but that's actually good for you.
[30:03]If the human being does not get exhausted and you have too
[30:05]much free time, that's when the problems happen.
[30:09]You should never allow for free time in your life.
[30:12]Free time that's aimless.
[30:14]You don't know what you're doing and what you're trying to achieve.
[30:21]Always plan every single hour of the day.
[30:23]So if Allah has put you in material comfort, say alhamdulillah, but
[30:27]now I will challenge myself.
[30:28]I'll put myself in difficulty willingly because if you don't, then your
[30:34]life, the quality of life will go down.
[30:38]And occasionally, brothers and sisters, occasionally give up your comforts.
[30:41]I'm not saying do this every day.
[30:43]occasionally to tame the nefs and to teach your nefs whose boss
[30:49]give up some comforts even with simple things it makes you a
[30:52]stronger human being believe me you have to put yourself in survival
[30:57]mode some sometimes in order for you to save your soul and
[31:00]not break down like this experiment demonstrates to us once a month
[31:05]I'm not telling you do this every night this is just an
[31:08]example you you can be creative once a month sleep on the
[31:13]floor on the No pillow, no mattress, no blanket, just on the
[31:21]carpet.
[31:22]Can you do it?
[31:23]You will not sleep well that night.
[31:25]Sure, you're not used to it.
[31:28]You'll wake up, the next day you're a bit sore, but I
[31:30]guarantee you the next day you wake up, you'll wake up a
[31:34]stronger human being.
[31:35]You'll be stronger.
[31:38]You'll be more focused.
[31:38]Your willpower will be greater.
[31:40]you will be more appreciative to the blessings of Allah subhana tala
[31:45]and no no there are billions of people who sleep like that
[31:49]on earth they don't even have your carpet not even the comfortable
[31:53]carpet that you have they don't even have that challenge yourself give
[32:00]up some comfort that way you can save your nephs brothers and
[32:05]sisters and that's how we can save our families that's how we
[32:10]can save our communities Otherwise, this experiment is a warning to us.
[32:14]Initially, you have access to everything.
[32:16]Things will look okay and then everything will break down.
[32:21]And that's exactly what we're seeing in the world today.
[32:24]So, let's protect ourselves and let's protect our families.
[32:28]Let's be focused.
[32:28]If Allah has given you material comfort, realize this is a responsibility
[32:32]on you right now.
[32:35]If you don't manage it properly, you will lose your nevs.
[32:38]You will lose your family.
[32:40]You will not be able to stay focused.
[32:46]So voluntarily put yourself in difficulty.
[32:47]Once you do so, you will find this willpower and life will
[32:53]have more meaning to you.
[32:54]Life will have more purpose.
[32:55]Allah has created the human being to go through difficulty.
[33:03]We've created the human being in hardship and difficulty.
[33:08]The minute the human being tries to use his technology and money
[33:11]and power to put himself in perfect conditions, that's when your quality
[33:15]of life goes down.
[33:17]That's when your mental health suffers to the point where people get
[33:23]sick like these Epstein criminals, right?
[33:24]They become sick in their mind.
[33:28]They do things just a normal person would never think of doing.
[33:31]That's what happens with unlimited access.
[33:34]They everything they do goes unpunished.
[33:37]The human being becomes a sick animal.
[33:40]The only way to save this human being is by putting yourself
[33:45]in difficulty, disciplining your nephs and realizing that Allah subhana t will
[33:51]hold you accountable.
[33:52]That's how we can save ourselves.
[33:57]And the best time is the month of Ramadan.
[33:58]Now brothers and sisters, these days we are going through difficulties.
[34:05]These are challenging times.
[34:06]And when we think of a utopian society, by the way, a
[34:11]lot of people ask, okay, so if being living in perfect conditions
[34:15]is not good for the human being, then what about the era
[34:20]of reappearance?
[34:21]When our imam reappears, we have been promised there will be no
[34:25]poverty, there will be no crime, everything will look perfect.
[34:28]So how do we make sense of that?
[34:31]Here's what's going to be different.
[34:33]The Immiam when he reappears Allah completes the intellect of humanity.
[34:40]Today humanity is still developing still experimenting trial and error.
[34:47]But during the era of lur Allah subhana t through the imam
[34:53]will complete our intellect.
[34:53]We have hadiths on that.
[34:57]And with a completed intellect then yes you can stay functional and
[35:01]sane even if you have material comfort because now you have a
[35:04]sense of purpose.
[35:06]You will not abuse that immedi will train people around the world
[35:14]not to abuse the blessings that they have.
[35:15]That's what's going to be different and humanity will have learned its
[35:20]lesson when the imam reappears.
[35:21]We have hadiths that state people will beg for Allah to send
[35:24]them a leader because people will say look at the world today.
[35:29]All these fake promises and we're living in a mess.
[35:31]There's so much injustice.
[35:34]People are still arrogant.
[35:37]They think they can figure out everything.
[35:39]These leaders can figure out everything.
[35:43]We can create a good utopian society.
[35:44]before the Imam reappears, humanity will testify and witness that we cannot
[35:49]achieve that.
[35:51]And this will be very important for the Imam to return.
[35:55]It's one of the conditions that people admit they can't figure things
[35:58]out.
[35:59]If you give things to us, we'll just oppress one another.
[36:03]But in these difficult days, brothers and sisters, we must remember that
[36:08]we have an imam.
[36:09]Despite all the injustice that's happening around the world, despite arrogant leaders
[36:16]threatening the world, know that we do have an imam.
[36:22]Don't lose hope.
[36:22]Allah is managing this entire universe.
[36:26]No one can disrupt the system of Allah.
[36:29]If there is some evil in this world, it's because Allah subhanahu
[36:34]wa ta'ala has allowed them to maneuver.
[36:36]Don't think anyone can overpower Allah and the system of Allah subhanahu
[36:42]wa ta'ala.
[36:41]This is a trial.
[36:44]Allah has promised to try us and today we are going through
[36:47]trials around the world.
[36:48]Don't lose your faith in im.
[36:51]Let's be patient.
[36:51]Let's realize that we have an imam.
[36:53]And in these times we have to connect more to the imam
[36:59]of our time.
[36:59]connect to the im through the beautiful duas that we have from.
[37:11]If you feel weak, you feel a loss of hope, just turn
[37:16]to the imam of your time and remember he will restore dignity
[37:21]to the believers.
[37:22]He will restore dignity to the oppressed wherever they are.
[37:38]Where is the one who will humiliate those enemies?
[37:42]Allah has made this promise that this will happen at the hands
[37:46]of the Imam of our time.
[38:00]Where is the one who will finally unite us, gather us on
[38:05]piety and tawa?
[38:07]Where is the door to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala?
[38:09]Call on the Imam of your time these days.
[38:12]Your Imam, he's also going through pain when he sees all this
[38:19]act of injustice.
[38:19]Every innocent person who suffers, the Imisam, he goes through pain because
[38:25]he has that compassionate heart.
[38:52]Oh my imam, it is very heavy on my heart that I
[38:56]can see everyone.
[38:58]I have access to everyone but not you.
[39:01]You're absent physically.
[39:01]You're in you're in occultation.
[39:03]This is heavy on my heart that I cannot see you.
[39:09]Hear your voice.
[39:08]See your blessed face.
[39:26]Oh my imam, it's so heavy on my heart that you go
[39:30]through all difficulties and I don't even remember you.
[39:34]I don't even care.
[39:33]I don't even cry for you during challenging times.
[39:37]Let's hold on to the imam of our time.
[39:41]That's our greatest trial.
[39:41]Our imams have promised us during the if you hold on to
[39:48]your faith, to your to your honesty, to your truthfulness, to your
[39:53]integrity, you are the best people Allah created throughout history because the
[40:03]trials are just so big in our times.
[40:06]So, let's not lose hope.
[40:08]Let's connect to the Imam of our time.
[40:11]We ask Allah subhanana wa ta'ala to hasten the reappearance of our
[40:18]imam.
[40:19]We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to help our brothers and sisters
[40:22]who are struggling around the world.
[40:24]This is the moment of dua.
[40:26]Let's pray for them.
[40:26]Let's pray for those who are ill.
[40:28]They've asked us for dua.
[40:32]This is the moment of dua.
[40:36]Everyone together.
[40:42]Amen.
[40:51]Amen.
[41:04]Amen.
[41:11]Amen.
[41:22]Allah Allah Allah ya Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah
[41:50]for Hussein.
