[0:00]is stem cell and bone marrow donation allowed in Islam there are

[0:05]several conditions suffered by adults and children that desperately require others who

[0:09]match their blood to donate blood or bone marrow stem cells these

[0:15]include various cancers and other life-threatening conditions such as aplastic anemia as

[0:19]far as Islamic law is concerned Muslim Shia jurists are generally in

[0:24]agreement that donating blood which includes stem cell or bone marrow stem

[0:29]cell donation is indeed permissible this is because such a donation does

[0:34]not cause harm to the donor if you are white you have

[0:39]a 72% chance of getting a stem cell or organ match but

[0:42]if you are an ethnic minority that drops to 37% hence we

[0:47]encourage all those from ethnic minorities to donate blood or bone marrow

[0:52]to save lives as the Holy Quran States saving one life is

[0:55]like saving the lives of all Humanity
