[3:18]he was in he shows you how to live whether the imam

[3:25]ali sallam was in Mecca being persecuted by the pagans not having

[3:30]the freedom to fully practice his religion publicly the Imam Ali Salaam

[3:39]is a guide for us whether the Imam Ali and Saddam was

[3:41]in the city of Medina supporting rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala showing

[3:46]his conviction and power in the way of Allah subhana WA Ta'ala

[3:52]he shows us how to live in this world whether the Imam

[12:27]I lose I become so depressed and angry and I go home

[12:33]and create chaos and my family what kind of miserable life do

[12:35]I have I'm like a ball going from one court to another

[12:41]court from the courts of making games to the court of making

[12:44]losses that's not a dignified life he said say it now Allah

[12:49]has given me the inner peace if one day I achieve while

[12:52]in my business I make some good money I thank allah subhanaw

[12:56]taala i don't fly over the clouds any more but I'm thankful

[12:59]and if one day I lose I don't make some money ok

[13:03]it's not the end of the world big deal I go home

[13:07]smiling just like the previous day nothing changed I don't even make

[13:11]it visible in my house that something has changed this is it

[13:14]you make transactions you make deals but where is your heart are

[13:20]you indifferent or are you attached to these deals are you attached

[13:24]to this dunya are you attached to power money fame recognition this

[14:36]addictions but one of the highest rates of addictions is amongst these

[14:39]CEOs because they're not feeling well because they have the severe attachment

[14:46]to their company they're always in competition with other people they don't

[14:52]have peace of mind because they don't have the sword their heart

[14:57]is attached to this materialistic world they don't have peace of mind

[15:01]now you see why imam ali bin abu talib re salam says

[15:05]as oh don't write all of them it's the biggest relief in

[15:11]this world in life when you detach your heart from this materialistic

[15:16]world you will sleep comfortably that night research my dear brothers and

[15:21]sisters has also been done on those who are rich on millionaires

[15:25]in the West especially in America generally speaking those who are richer

[15:31]have higher rates of depression why you would think that they have

[15:37]all the money people dream to have their money but they're never

[15:41]satisfied no amount of money satisfies them Michael Norton who comes from

[15:46]Harvard Business School he's a professor at Harvard Business School he says

[15:51]I did a study on 2,000 millionaires listen to this my dear

[15:55]brothers and sisters he says I did a study on 2,000 millionaires

[16:00]he said I found that all those whom I talked to pretty

[16:07]much they wished they had three times the wealth that they actually

[16:11]had in order to feel happy when I would tell them what

[16:15]is it that will make you happy they would say if we

[16:19]had three times more the guy who had three million said if

[16:22]I had nine million I would be happy the guy who had

[16:26]nine million he said if I had 20 seven million I'll be

[16:28]happy and the guy who had twenty-seven million said if I had

[16:30]sixty million I would be happy and it doesn't end there same

[16:35]with the billionaire's they never reach that satisfaction that fulfillment and that

[16:39]makes them depressed and they're constantly comparing themselves with others I've got

[16:45]a billion oh that guy Forbes just revealed has ten billion and

[16:49]you don't enjoy what you have at your disposal and that makes

[16:54]you depressed it makes up some of them psychotic they have mental

[16:58]illnesses because of this kind of atmosphere it's not helping them it's

[17:01]not helping them this attachment to their business to the figures that

[17:06]they're making to money is not giving them the happiness that they're

[17:12]looking for they suffer from higher rates of depression and it's not

[17:15]just them my dear brothers and sisters you know where the danger

[17:18]is their children studies have been done on the children of these

[17:21]CEOs these millionaires and rich people they fare worse than the average

[17:28]child in society even a child who comes from a poor background

[17:30]there are greater rates of anxiety and depression amongst their children and

[17:36]one reason is because these children for many of them they don't

[17:41]have a normal life it's more of a superficial life sometimes being

[17:47]the average Joe in society is wonderful my dear brothers and sisters

[17:52]believe me because not one can handle a position of authority to

[17:57]be CEO or to be a millionaire if they're not responsible with

[18:03]their money they lose who they are many of those millionaires who

[18:07]are interviewed they would say after while we lose our sense of

[18:10]identity after a while we don't even know who we are we

[18:14]don't know who we are especially if the wealth comes pretty quickly

[18:17]to them and their children suffer because their children don't go through

[18:22]struggles from the second they're born everything the whole world is prepared

[18:26]for them everything is arranged for them sometimes we need to train

[18:29]my children our children my dear brothers and sisters don't make everything

[18:35]accessible to them materialistically that's not a good way to raise them

[18:39]we need to learn how to say no to our kids sometimes

[18:43]that's how you build them that's how you train them you make

[18:46]them responsible yes I'm not asking you here to be extreme with

[18:51]your kids but every once in a while at home it's dinnertime

[18:53]and your son or daughter is expecting that delicious meal that the

[18:58]mom is cooking one day once a month once a week say

[19:02]we don't have dinner today we have some bread and cheese let's

[19:05]eat that initially your child's not going to like that no what

[19:09]do you mean I want that dinner because I'm used to it

[19:11]teach your children tell them there are millions around the world who

[19:14]don't even have this bread and cheese it's okay drink a glass

[19:18]of milk that's your dinner tonight it's not the end of the

[19:20]world and it's healthy for you too don't worry today we have

[19:24]a problem of obesity amongst children right we need to learn how

[19:27]to say no to our children if we don't they fall into

[20:27]don't mention anything about philosophy of life and what life means to

[20:30]them they only talk about financial success today college students are going

[20:34]to college ask them what's your goal in life what do you

[20:38]want to achieve how will you know if you're successful or not

[20:40]usually they will cite the financial factor and that's why there's more

[20:43]depression amongst them there's more anxiety because their mind is in the

[20:47]wrong area they have an altered mindset of this world is but

[20:54]say you do more Hadean what Amir al-mumineen alia Burnaby a lot

[21:38]something that scientists are telling us my dear brothers and sisters but

[21:43]Imam Mahdi never thought about Islam beautifully gives us this recipe 14

[21:46]centuries ago so it really gives you peace of mind if you

[21:51]want to have peace of mind for yourself for your family ask

[21:54]yourself what are my priorities in life where is my heart can

[22:00]I truly be indifferent to this world or no and this brings

[24:01]dollars is not pure Hanan money there are there is the rights

[24:04]of others in it would you take it or no some of

[24:08]them quickly said no no no if there's a dollar in it

[24:12]that's Haram that belongs to someone it's alright to someone I will

[24:15]not take it half of them were a little bit more honest

[24:18]they're like well if it's six million dollars and I really needed

[26:38]marijuana has its own purposes we're talking about recreational marijuana recreational marijuana

[31:23]achieve comfort first of all there is no real comfort you think
