[0:03][Music] on a night like this we commemorate The Life and Legacy
[0:59]of our Master Al IM the rightful successor of the Prophet Muhammad
[1:10]sallah alai wasallam in all regards not only did he take from
[1:20]him his knowledge but more than that he also took from him
[1:26]courage bravery resilience Faith humility honor and dignity and as much as
[1:39]we reflect on the life of as mesmerized as we are by
[1:52]his example his supplim example we remember that he himself described himself
[1:57]as nothing but a Slave of the Prophet Muhammad sallallah alai Al
[2:02]wasam this is these are the words that he uses to describe
[2:09]him himself when he was asked of who he was his identity
[2:12]he said muham muhamad he says I am just a slave I
[2:26]am just a servant I am in no ways Superior to anyone
[2:32]nor inferior to anyone and often during his while he was the
[2:40]leader the ruler of the Empire and of course he never allowed
[2:43]his position his political position to compromise or to get in the
[2:52]way or even make him less enthusiastic in any way of speaking
[2:54]the truth so he would walk in the marketplace during during his
[3:01]Rule and he would recite the verse that the life the next
[3:14]life is reserved for those who in this life they don't seek
[3:20]to exalt themselves over anyone else they don't seek to make themselves
[3:25]Superior over anyone else because if you do then Allah says we
[3:31]will give you what you're looking for in this life you want
[3:36]position we'll give you position if you want status we give you
[3:39]status did he not give position and status to those who fought
[3:44]the family of the Prophet peace be upon him time and time
[3:46]again not just those who did it in the beginning but then
[3:50]the ones who came after the families and the dynasties that came
[3:54]after the B and the and all the different did not God
[3:58]give them what they are looking for you want a rule you're
[4:02]going to rule you want Power you want infamy you want people
[4:07]to fear you then we'll give you that status and that position
[4:12]in this life in this dun but no one will guarantee that
[4:17]you will enjoy the same privileges in the next life just because
[4:21]you are in a Superior State here does not mean you will
[4:26]be in a superior place in the afterlife in fact quite the
[4:31]contrary one day he says to Theif at the time he says
[4:39]that you may be the Imam of the people and consider yourself
[4:44]the Imam of the people the leader of the people he said
[4:46]but you lead and you rule over their bodies while I am
[4:50]the Imam of their hearts this is the difference between you and
[4:54]I I'm not sitting in the chair I'm not sitting in the
[5:00]throne I'm not I don't have you know the crowds around me
[5:07]and my cronies and and people to do my bidding for me
[5:10]and people to do my killing for me and my Wars for
[5:13]me and to distribute the uh money on my behalf and charity
[5:17]and all this I I may not have what you have in
[5:21]in those terms but I own and I have influence over something
[5:27]that you do not and you cannot with no amount of r
[5:29]Ru and no amount of money he says I am the IM
[5:34]of their hearts while you are just the IM and the the
[5:37]leader of their bodies their their material you can control them their
[5:41]their their physical dimension of their body but there's nothing that you
[5:46]can do about their hearts and their minds and IM he says
[5:52]to Haron he says to him that you have me in prisons
[5:57]going from one prison to another and the IM spent many years
[6:00]years in prisons he says but understand and know that every day
[6:07]I spend in prison and in torment is one day closer to
[6:11]the day that you will spend in prison and torment so while
[6:14]my I'm doing my time and my sentence is decreasing naturally because
[6:18]even if I was to be here for my entire life eventually
[6:22]I would die my days are numbered but my days that are
[6:26]numbered and they are decreasing in tally is one day closer to
[6:35]your infinite misery that you are going to experience the Perpetual state
[6:40]of prison that you will be in so it's give and take
[6:43]either I take in this life and then I have to pay
[6:48]and give in the next or it's the opposite I give in
[6:49]this life and I get to receive in the next this was
[6:56]the life of could he have not had in the material sense
[7:00]if you read history and you read exactly what transpired and exactly
[7:07]what happened after the life ofam you would know that he clearly
[7:11]could have had what he wanted from this dunan from this material
[7:16]world if he wanted it if he wanted to unath his sword
[7:25]he could have un sheathed his sword and if Ali un sheathed
[7:29]his sword would any of them be able to stand against him
[7:31]not a single one in fact he could have done it without
[7:35]even un sheathing the sword we know that Abu sufyan Abu sufyan
[7:42]he came to Imam aliam after the prophet peace be upon Him
[7:45]passed away he could not go to him directly so he took
[7:50]with him Al abas the uncle of the Prophet peace be upon
[7:55]him and IM Ali Al he said let's go speak to Ali
[7:56]perhaps we can work something out I see that he's in distress
[8:01]I see that there's conflict taking place so Abu sufyan goes to
[8:05]him he says y Ali forget about what they have decided you
[8:09]and I let's work something out I still have the people my
[8:13]people in Mecca they are loyal to me and they are larger
[8:15]in number and if you and I put hand in hand and
[8:19]we put our minds together we can take this thing over and
[8:24]restore the rule and and and and put you where you need
[8:30]to be Imam Ali had the opportunity he could have said yes
[8:33]and that would have been over but then would we have an
[8:36]Islam we would not have an Islam we would not have anything
[8:42]of Islam not the Quran not the name not the prayer if
[8:44]it had fallen into the wrong hands and you see brothers and
[8:51]sisters as tragic as the history of Islam is Allah subhana wa
[8:54]ta'ala ensures that this religion and this Faith stays in the right
[8:58]hands it stays in the right hands and this is why you
[9:04]see a pure version of Islam Today you see the same Quran
[9:09]today you see the same practice of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alai
[9:15]wasallam today the prophet peace be upon him said to IMI he
[9:19]Saidi he said you are like the Kaa The Kaa doesn't go
[9:24]anywhere people go to it you as a Muslim wherever you are
[9:30]in the world once you become you have the ability financially you
[9:34]have the time you are able to travel there are no travel
[9:40]restrictions you are not held back then it becomes obligatory upon you
[9:44]but there's no option to come have the Kaa visit you no
[9:48]matter how much money you spend you are the one that has
[9:51]to go in person and visit the Kaa and do the TA
[9:55]around it he said you are like Thea let them come to
[9:59]you you don't go to them the ca is not going to
[10:03]go to anyone you see a few years ago during Co how
[10:08]they they they stopped the TA completely this was probably the first
[10:10]time in most of our lifetimes that we saw this the Kaa
[10:14]stays where it is even if people are not circumambulating around it
[10:19]he said you Ali I want you to stay where you are
[10:23]I want you to stay where you are and if the people
[10:26]come to you then accept and if they do not come don't
[10:30]go begging you're not a beggar and your role is your role
[10:36]is your role it is secure no matter what anyone says no
[10:40]matter how anyone tries to change or distort and see the Distortion
[10:47]that took place the propaganda that took place so much so so
[10:55]much so that people began to despise the people of sham began
[11:02]to despise for all the wrong reasons all the wrong reasons and
[11:05]what did mua make up about him and preached on the mimber
[11:12]for decades eventually going for decades alali was is not the first
[11:16]Muslim not the most significant one not the first one to pray
[11:22]all of the accolades Subhan Allah even says this in he says
[11:27]that if the favors someone and I mentioned this if the D
[11:33]favors someone it will give to him attributes that are not even
[11:36]his people will call you generous and you're not a generous person
[11:41]kind and you're not even a kind person but the dun the
[11:43]dun wants to favor you the dun wants to show you some
[11:47]Grace and if it turns away from someone which is a good
[11:52]thing if the Dunya turns away from you before you having to
[11:56]turn away from it it says and if the Dunya turns away
[12:00]from someone then it will strip him of his own good characteristics
[12:05]and give them to someone else so he's a generous man but
[12:10]no one will recall his generosity he's a kind man but no
[12:13]one will recall his kindness this is how the treats so in
[12:22]that stoic nature realized that it's not my job to go and
[12:26]run after people and beg for people in fact fact we are
[12:31]told in the story of the Treaty of hudia when the prophet
[12:38]peace be upon him and the Muslims they returned to Mecca and
[12:42]they were not allowed to enter one year they were told to
[12:50]return the next year some of the companions they took that as
[12:52]a sign of defeat that we didn't get to enter we didn't
[12:58]get to perform the pilgrim we didn't get to after so many
[13:01]years you told us that we're going to be able to go
[13:05]back to Mecca aren't we a big enough army they can't stop
[13:09]us even if they tried why are we turning back told them
[13:14]patience patience this year we cannot but next year we will come
[13:18]back strong and next year they cannot deny us so they sat
[13:20]down to write the treaty and of course he was the one
[13:30]that was transcribing and writing on behalf of the prophet and on
[13:35]the other side the leader of the mechans was and so as
[13:45]they sat down to write the letter from one person to another
[13:54]they wrote or the prophet had commanded for Ali to write from
[13:59]Muhammad abdah the messenger of Allah Muhammad Muhammad Tob very clear says
[14:12]no no no remove this title the messenger of God if he
[14:17]was the messenger of God we we wouldn't be having this discussion
[14:20]if we really believed he was the messenger of God so remove
[14:22]this title the messenger of God so the prophet says to Ali
[14:28]says Ali remove this title for their sake alali says no I
[14:31]can't do that I'm not going to cross it out he says
[14:35]do it for their sake it was a little bit of tension
[14:38]there he says don't worry this history will repeat itself this is
[14:45]going to repeat itself with you and in your own position and
[14:50]realize that no matter what they say or what they believe you
[14:52]and I both know that I am the Messenger of Allah and
[14:56]if it was just you and I only you and I that
[14:58]believed that I was the messenger of God and that's it that
[15:02]would be enough for us this is what the Quran says they
[15:16]say to to the prophet you you are not meaning what you
[15:23]have no you have no message you are not really a messenger
[15:26]you're not really a prophet the same thing that yazid mu said
[15:32]when he saw the head of Hussein which to him was Victory
[15:39]finally he could admit when he said that Hashim meaning theu they
[15:47]they played around with the rule like it was their own game
[15:52]nothing came from above no Revelation even came from above this is
[15:56]yazid who till today there are certain groups that still refer to
[16:02]him as the commander of the faithful he's telling you there's no
[16:06]God and there's no Prophet you have to insist and give him
[16:08]the title and give him the position and then we ask why
[16:13]is the Muslim umah in Array they don't know who their leader
[16:16]leaders are there's no leadership there's one group fighting the other group
[16:21]why this is the reason because you can't decide who your true
[16:24]leaders are and it's all over the Quran on that day we
[16:36]will resurrect each person with their Im so who's your Imam who
[16:41]did you take as your Imam who did you take as your
[16:45]leader certain people the Quran tells us on the day of judgment
[16:50]they would say like I wish I had not taken this person
[16:56]is the verse that I wish I had not taken this person
[17:00]as a a is a friend an intimate friend I wish I
[17:05]had not taken this person as a leader some people on the
[17:08]day of judgment they will say it's not our fault they were
[17:13]the ones that led us into misguidance Allah subhana wa taala says
[17:17]no because the leader will also say hey I have nothing to
[17:23]do with you he says I have nothing to do you followed
[17:26]me but I had nothing to do with you that even the
[17:30]leader on the day of judgment will say this person's not my
[17:32]follower and the follower will beg and say no no no no
[17:37]count count me I was I'm following you wherever you go so
[17:43]the question is who is your Imam who do you want to
[17:50]be resurrected with who are you copying and imitating in your life
[17:55]so much that you will be counted as one of them and
[17:57]you will be resurrected as as one of them which one of
[18:02]us will be surprised thinking that we are going to be resurrected
[18:04]one day but then on the day of judgment we're resurrected with
[18:10]a whole other group who knows this was the example of that
[18:21]stoic leader the one who no situation no circumstance could change him
[18:27]and he was okay with it he was okay with it Allah
[18:36]tells the prophet peace be upon him that if they tell you
[18:40]you are not a Mel you are not a messenger tell them
[18:42]all I need is the belief of one person and that is
[18:48]according to our narrations our authentic narrations in this one person is
[18:58]none other than so the prophet is telling imii be okay with
[19:11]not everybody believing in you as clear as the truth is you
[19:16]have to be okay with certain people not believing in you certain
[19:20]people not just not believing in you some certain people who will
[19:24]fight you they will fight you and you have to be okay
[19:27]with it you have to realize that this is a part of
[19:30]it so what happens fast forward many years later we were talking
[19:32]about the Treaty of hudia fast forward many years later during the
[19:35]Battle of s and the ceasefire happens and mu refuses the title
[19:44]to be attributed to andali remembers that this also happened with the
[19:53]prophet so many years ago and he told me Ali this will
[19:57]also happen to you that people will try to deny your truth
[19:59]and who you are but it doesn't matter as long as God
[20:03]knows who you are as long as God is seeing your work
[20:05]so many times we try to win people's approval win people's admiration
[20:12]win people's uh love or respect why naturally as human beings this
[20:19]is part of our psychology we are social beings we we are
[20:22]not isolated and part of being a social being our Evolution over
[20:26]thousands of years is that naturally we are intuitive and naturally we
[20:32]are sensitive to people's admiration and approval around us and something as
[20:35]small as a certain look you see parents you know now psychology
[20:42]is telling us actually someone one of the brothers was sharing this
[20:46]study with me recently we were just having the conversation that studies
[20:50]are now showing that even the way that a parent looks at
[20:55]the child when they respond to them has a psychological effect they
[20:58]don't need to to say anything if you go back in your
[21:02]memory and think about the times that your mother or your father
[21:05]gave you that look that stare that changed everything inside of you
[21:09]they didn't need to say anything either it terrified you or it
[21:12]made you sick or it it made you feel a certain way
[21:17]just by a certain look that's why you find the of the
[21:20]prophet and the IMs even the way that they looked even the
[21:25]way that they laid their eyes on people they were intentional about
[21:29]Subhan Allah because all of this all of this it makes a
[21:39]difference even if you have one person just one person that's all
[21:44]you need you don't need the entire world to follow you you
[21:47]don't need the entire world to approve of you keep doing good
[21:55]keep doing good the Quran says do good despite whether people are
[22:05]going to see it and recognize it and appreciate it or not
[22:11]do good Allah says he will see it any good that you
[22:20]do Allah is going to see it whether it's in private or
[22:26]in public his Messenger will also see it the Believers shall also
[22:35]witness it as well this was whom we commemorate his life in
[22:45]this night this was the real tragedy the real tragedy was that
[22:53]truly that that if you study his life and his wisdom you
[22:58]would realize that he was the most misunderstood person in this dun
[23:02]the most misunderstood person in this dun there were times Subhan Allah
[23:14]one day there was a there was a felon a convicted felon
[23:19]that was brought in front of him and of course in some
[23:28]instances during those days a felon a criminal would be punished or
[23:31]held accountable publicly not all the time but sometimes publicly and this
[23:38]served a purpose to show people in front of people that number
[23:42]one Justice is being served and number two don't follow in this
[23:46]person's footsteps don't follow in this person's Behavior so one day a
[23:53]felon was brought in front of the IM and there were crowds
[23:55]of people around him and this Hadith is in and he said
[24:01]it so eloquently of course the exact Hadith and how he said
[24:05]is not on the top of my head but he said something
[24:07]along to this effect that look at how excited people get when
[24:13]somebody is about to be publicly shamed he says I wish they
[24:17]had this kind of enthusiasm when it came to their own worship
[24:19]and their own goodness all of them they come out to see
[24:23]this person being punished because they know somebody somebody's about to get
[24:27]punished this is a show let's go get the popcorn because only
[24:32]this person is guilty I'm not guilty he says I'm so surprised
[24:36]and not surprised at the same time that so many people enthusiastically
[24:40]show up when somebody is being punished but then then what about
[24:49]your own life one day same thing happened someone was about to
[24:55]be punished for adultery and there was a group of of people
[25:01]and the Imam he turned to them the people and he said
[25:06]before this punishment is carried out anybody who has committed this type
[25:11]of sin will not be allowed to Wi and of course you're
[25:18]standing in front of IM aliam he you know he knows you
[25:24]can't you can't get away with the lie if you've done it
[25:27]there's a way for him to know what's going on inside he
[25:31]said anyone who has committed a sin like this you cannot witness
[25:35]this punishment so do you know who stayed behind him Hassan and
[25:41]Hussein that's it not a single person in that crowd had not
[25:44]done something similar they just hadn't been caught they just hadn't had
[25:48]it witnessed so Imam is trying to's he's trying to show the
[25:55]ironies and of course he could he would know who has committed
[25:58]an who has not in one report we are told that Malik
[26:02]in the Battle of sa had moved forward he was fighting he
[26:07]almost reach the enemy says to him Malik you need to slow
[26:11]down with how many lives you are taking because when you look
[26:15]at a man you fight him for his disbelief that is in
[26:20]him when I look at a man I Can See Seven Generations
[26:21]deep and if there is one believer I spare that man for
[26:27]the life of the believer I can see seven Generations deep while
[26:29]you can only see the man as he is this form of
[26:35]Enlightenment this form of vision when you know we're not talking about
[26:39]miracles and people say well why do you ascribe why do you
[26:41]ascribe these things to the imams these Godly type of no no
[26:45]no no no this isn't a Godly attribute Allah subhah wa ta'ala
[26:47]says himself that my believer comes close to me and as he
[26:53]comes close to me and as I love him I become the
[26:57]Eyes by which he sees and I become the ears by which
[27:02]he hears if there is no greater manifestation of that having Vision
[27:08]this type of vision in then who else who else if not
[27:13]him this was our master who tonight is also so we we
[27:23]we make mention of returning to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this was
[27:30]his mission this was his mission yes we are in awe of
[27:36]his style of government and Leadership and how he ruled and how
[27:40]he administered Justice and how he was kind to the orphans and
[27:44]how he applied Justice you know if you if you simply read
[27:49]the stories of his rulings how he would rule between people they're
[27:52]really mindboggling the things that he would come up with he understood
[27:57]Justice to his core he understood it to its core all of
[28:00]this we are in awe of but his role he says what
[28:07]his role is he said I'm only a slave I I only
[28:11]show you what was sent and revealed to the prophet Muhammad s
[28:15]in the best way that I can since I was the closest
[28:24]person to him since I was the first person who confirmed him
[28:27]since I was the the first person to stand and pray with
[28:32]him since I was the only person to stand and say I
[28:34]will give my life and I will give my well-being to be
[28:39]your brother to be your protector to be your executor after you
[28:45]this is why we honor because he was in every way the
[28:52]perfect absolute perfect manifestation absolute perfect reflection in Every Which Way in
[29:02]his demeanor in his in his courage you know even when it
[29:05]comes to the courage in battle there was no one as courageous
[29:10]as him but do you know what he says in IM Ali
[29:14]says In the Heat of the battle go and read that he
[29:18]says In the Heat of the battle I would seek refuge in
[29:21]I would turn to rasol Allah and rasool Allah would come down
[29:28]into the battlefield if we needed his assistance now the exact term
[29:31]I was just reading it yesterday but he uses an exact term
[29:36]he says when the when the fighting becomes red hot when it
[29:40]intensifies people would not run to me he says I would go
[29:44]and see we would go and seek assistance from the prophet and
[29:46]then he would enter the battle he would enter the fry and
[29:51]all of a sudden things would go calm so in every aspect
[29:55]in every which way he was a servant of the prophet and
[30:00]one who taught to turn back to the teachings of the Prophet
[30:06]Muhammad sallallah alai tonight is also a night of repentance one commentator
[30:22]he says you know 1,000 months is equal to about about 82
[30:28]years almost 83 years an entire lifetime meaning that what you can
[30:35]do in an entire lifetime in material you see people who build
[30:40]they have material contribution to this world in one night of you
[30:44]can achieve more spiritually than an entire life of material contribution and
[30:50]material giving it is the night that the Quran descends it is
[30:57]the the Quran that the the night that God says meaning according
[31:06]to the common commentary which means that there is a constant flow
[31:12]of ascending and descending of constantly so from the night till there
[31:21]is a steady flow of angels going up and down and up
[31:26]and down and Reporting every second what is is happening counting every
[31:30]second what is happening witnessing us all here today tonight in Repentance
[31:39]in commemoration in love for our IM Allah subhana wa tala tells
[31:42]us who he loves in the Quran he says one narration says
[31:55]what an honorable title Habib the beloved one of Allah do you
[32:00]know who the beloved one of Allah is the one who seeks
[32:06]repentance in the Quran we are reminded tell my servants who have
[32:20]been excessive with themselves is is is to be excessive and how
[32:24]many of us we are excessive you know you think of something
[32:30]to do and you become excessive especially for people with addictive personalities
[32:34]if you have an addictive personality it's easy to become excessive in
[32:40]every way tell the people who are excessive why because sometimes we
[32:46]think to oursel I'm so excessive that you know I've done so
[32:49]much that I have no hope for return I have no hope
[32:55]for repentance he says don't have yes is what hopelessness why is
[33:03]it a grave sin to be hopeless we hear it's one of
[33:09]the the grave sins is is to be hopeless why because once
[33:11]you reach the stage of hopelessness you think to yourself nothing even
[33:16]matters anymore so why should I even put in any effort or
[33:19]try and this is all speculation and talk all of these are
[33:26]what they're all all the Whispers of thean and that's a very
[33:32]real thing by the way the Whispers of thean this is why
[33:35]we read it's right there in your chest the negative selft talk
[33:49]reinforcing uh you know reinforcing all of the negative things that we
[33:57]think about ourselves I've gone too far every single sin that you
[34:04]can think of he says I can erase for you and I
[34:11]will erase for you and it is easy for me to erase
[34:15]for you so many things that we think is difficult why because
[34:22]we're not forgiving people someone cuts us off driving and we hold
[34:26]a grudge for six months and we think that God is the
[34:32]same way that he he also holds grudges and he's not going
[34:34]to forgive anyone just like we don't forgive anyone but this is
[34:38]wrong this is a fallacy this is you comparing your mind to
[34:41]the mind of God Allah will forgive Every Act of transgression every
[34:50]single one of them IM teaches us how to seek the forgiveness
[35:00]and repentance from Allah these are the teachings of the IM oh
[35:11]Allah I ask you by your mercies by your mercy that encompasses
[35:16]all things not just all people all things even the animals the
[35:26]ants these insects that live and die in darkness yet they receive
[35:32]their sustenance is better and greater and more deserving than you Ben
[35:37]Allah says says I've already told you that you are on top
[35:52]of the food chain I mean is there anything on earth that
[35:55]is more dominant than you you know I think if the dinosaurs
[36:00]were to come back we would dominate them they would have no
[36:03]chance against us not a single creature not a single thing that
[36:06]we don't make use of the animals Allah says you use them
[36:11]to ride you use them for their fur you use them to
[36:13]eat even the sun which we cannot get close to it we
[36:18]draw benefit from it we draw energy from it we draw heat
[36:23]from it even though it's what millions of miles away we extract
[36:29]resources with no limits from the earth we take from the earth
[36:34]in one narration it says that the Earth speaks to mankind Adam
[36:40]he says oh son of man oh son of Adam today you
[36:42]are walking on my back tomorrow you'll be in my stomach enjoy
[36:49]yourself enjoy yourself today you're walking on my back tomorrow you'll be
[36:54]inside my stomach I will enjoy you so enjoy yourself as much
[36:58]as you can if we were just to think about this one
[37:06]opening statement in Dua oh Allah I ask you by your mercy
[37:12]which encompasses everything Ya Allah you have mercy on the fish you
[37:18]have mercy on the birds you have mercy on the monkeys you
[37:20]have mercy on the venomous snakes you have mercy on on on
[37:25]on on on the ocean and on the mountains and all of
[37:29]the things that can be dangerous to us and can suffocate us
[37:31]and kill us you have mercy on it yet I think about
[37:36]myself that Allah will not have mercy upon me what kind of
[37:38]ridiculous thinking is this These Are the nights that we take time
[37:44]to reflect and it's an opportunity says when it comes to repentance
[37:57]he says have a deep sense of regret and Contrition it's not
[38:00]about what you say it's about where your heart is even the
[38:03]steps that are mentioned in Dua oh Allah I have come to
[38:22]you after I have been excessive with myself not I'm coming to
[38:25]you with my chest out you owe me forgiveness you told me
[38:29]you promised me this now don't go back on your promise Ya
[38:32]Allah I am broken I'm so shameful I am so regretful IM
[38:44]says if somebody else was to see my Disobedience other than you
[38:50]I would not have done it but you you see it and
[38:53]I still do ITB why is it that I am afraid of
[38:56]everybody else I'm embarrassed of everyone else I'm shameful in front of
[39:00]everyone else but not you the one who can actually see me
[39:05]and see through me and the one that can actually pass judgment
[39:10]about me everyone else can pass judgment and it means nothing but
[39:15]when you pass judgment you are the master you are the true
[39:18]judge you are the one that I should really be concerned of
[39:26]and if if I was afraid if I knew that everything I
[39:30]did would come back to me immediately I would have not done
[39:33]it but because you have given a long period of time maybe
[39:39]I won't see it in this life I'll see the punishment in
[39:44]the next life I've taken it very easy on myself so why
[39:47]that why why this Behavior towards Allah he says that he says
[39:56]all you say down to us is good and all we return
[40:00]to you is evil if you were a lord if you were
[40:08]a master over people is this how you would want your subjects
[40:10]to treat you you would you would start to doubt yourself am
[40:13]I really in charge or am I not in charge yet Allah
[40:18]subhana wa ta'ala continues to give us Grace and continues to give
[40:21]us give us love and keep us on the right path and
[40:26]keep us with the love of his in our hearts just for
[40:31]this we should be thankful just for the fact that Allah keeps
[40:34]us alive and breathing and well after our transgressions after our Disobedience
[40:40]after we've turned away from him yet he continues to bless you
[40:50]show me love and I'm showing you dissatisfaction discontent On A Night
[40:57]Like This it was very difficult for the after two days after
[41:04]two nights when the IM was struck down during his prayer and
[41:08]that poison ABD this Petty individual what a petty individual one of
[41:13]theage who had fought against the Imam in the Battle of nahan
[41:17]this woman who her brother and her father had been killed she
[41:24]offers herself in marriage to IB MJ and she says my my
[41:28]dowy is the life of Al that's my dowy so he was
[41:35]so enthused so excited about this that he purchased a sword for
[41:40]a th000 Dirham and he poisoned it for the same price a
[41:44]thousand Dirham in order to bring down the Imam and he struck
[41:50]him and that poison it began to seep through the body of
[41:53]the Imam and imagine the pain that he was ring in as
[41:56]he gathered his companions as he gathered his family members the closest
[42:01]ones to him the ones that he could finally impart all of
[42:08]his wisdom upon he turned to his sons alassan Hussein he said
[42:15]my two sons number one what you will carry ahead what will
[42:21]protect you in your provision number one is the fear of God
[42:26]God consciousness put your Affairs in order make sure your Affairs are
[42:32]in order and then he began to give them the directives Allah
[42:39]Allah Quran number one the Quran never abandon the Quran no matter
[42:42]how busy you are no matter what you think do not abandon
[42:47]the Quran Allah Allah take care of the orphans never stop taking
[42:53]care of the orphans IMI says in his Hadith take care of
[42:56]Orphans and God will take care of your orphans after you this
[43:03]was our master who even during those final moments was imparting his
[43:10]wisdom and imagine how dark and lonely this time was for alassan
[43:16]Al Hussein lady Z lady the companions who lived with the Imam
[43:21]those who gave their life for him imagine what a difficult time
[43:27]it was for them as they began to lose their Master it
[43:30]is said that when im was struck down by ABD that his
[43:37]killer was captured IB mulam was captured that the chains that were
[43:42]placed around him were tight very tight and when the Imam saw
[43:47]this he turned and he said loosen the grip around him for
[43:50]he is a human being he's a captive not an animal and
[43:55]he said give him request any request that he wants whatever he
[43:58]wants to eat whatever he wants to drink bring for him and
[44:03]when it comes to applying Justice apply Justice in the most just
[44:07]and fair way he said to alassan you are my son oh
[44:11]Hassan you decide what happens to my killer after me but if
[44:14]you decide to strike him then one strike for one strike he
[44:19]struck me one time you only strike him one time not more
[44:25]than that do not become excessive with it one strike for one
[44:29]strike and this is what Al did a man who thought about
[44:35]Justice even to the final seconds of his life and as he
[44:40]sat there after his injury he's he's narrations tell us that his
[44:44]head was in the lap of his son Al Hussein Al Hussein
[44:49]was taking care of him he was tending to his wounds and
[44:52]when the father opened his eyes and looked up he saw it
[44:56]was his son Hussein taking taking care of him tending to his
[44:58]wounds he turned to him he said Hussein my son oh Hussein
[45:04]you are taking care of me now but who is going to
[45:09]take care of you when you are alone one day on this
[45:11]Blood Stained hands of carala while your body has been wounded from
[45:17]head to toe who will be there with you on that day
[45:19]who will be there to tend to your wounds for [Music]
