==============================

If you have hidden a bad point deep inside your heart, God will reveal it one day if you don’t remove it, don’t try to fix it and insist on it. God pays attention to people’s hearts. He says, “I pay attention to the depths of your heart.” God pays attention to people’s hearts.
I ask you to have a good relationship with the Qur’an and to be satisfied with its content. No, let me put it another way. I ask you to like the verses of the Qur’an even in cases when God is saying something bitter. Ok? If you don’t like the Qur’an, what will your destiny be? The Qur’an says, “And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective. That is because they hated what God revealed.” [47:8-9]
Why is destruction awaiting those who disbelieve, and why does God make their deeds ineffective? Because they hated what God revealed. I ask you to not hate what God has revealed. If you don’t like it deep inside your heart [, God will reveal it]! It states two times in this blessed verse, “Whatever is deep inside your Heart, I (God) will reveal it. I saw it and it was obvious.” Allahu Akbar!
Zubayr had run away and changed his mind about fighting againstthe Commander of the Faithful, Ali (as). The Imam had convinced this wretched man to not fight againsthim. So Zubayr left the battlefield. Someone saw him, killed him and brought his head back. The Imam truly felt sorry for Zubayr. He said, “Zubayr became jealous of me in his heart, but he hid this. His jealousy caused him to become wretched.”
“Or do those in whose hearts is a disease think that God will not bring forth their spite?” [Qur’an 47:29] Allahu Akbar! You probably know this story as well. The Imam (as) narrated, “The Prophet (s) gave Zubayr and me a mission to go and catch a spy. She was taking a document to the group of unbelievers. When we reached her, we told her, ‘You must give us the message that you have.’ Zubayr went to talk to her first. The woman convinced him that she didn’t have anything. I said, ‘Zubayr! How is that possible? The Messenger of God told us this!’ I went forward and talked to her firmly. So she took out the paper and handed it to me. From that time, Zubayr was jealous of me, but hidden deep inside his heart.”
Later, Zubayr defended Lady Zahra’s (as) house with his sword. He was standing by the Commander of the faithful (as) for 25 years, but he didn’t let go of his jealousy. His jealousy was revealed one day. Allahu Akbar!
[One might say,] “What kind of jealousy do we have about the Household of the Prophet (as) at this time?” We don’t necessarily need to be jealous of the Household of the Prophet. I have witnessed this before in a person who was a very religious Shi’a person and used to participate in religious gatherings. But he was secretly jealous or held a grudge toward someone who loved the Household of the Prophet (as). He even harmed that good person. That good person was very special. After 30 or 40 years, this bad person went astray!
An example is when others mock a good person and you feel happy deep inside your heart about it. That’s because you’re jealous of him, but what if he’s a good person?! This is an example about spite that will be revealed one day. If you see that a jealous person has deviated one day, don’t be surprised! He had hidden something. Verse 29 is an amazing verse,
“Or do those in whose hearts is a disease think that God will not bring forth their spite?” Deep inside your heart, you should be on good terms with God, what He has revealed, and good people. This includes the Household of the Prophet (as) and others. Why do we pay attention to Arbaeen so much? Because that is the place where the believers are kind to each other.
This should be practiced and paid attention to. Why do we go to mourning ceremonies? They say, “I am introducing you to someone who was oppressed. Go to him very much.” When you go to this oppressed person, he cleanses the depths of your heart.
Crying for Imam Husayn (as) comes from deep inside the heart. It is said that if you are unable to cry, pretend that you are crying. Those who cry, lament and repeat the elegies are mentioned too. These things help to clean deep inside our hearts as well. We want to keep ourselves on the good side using any possible means. All of these things are effective in fixing the depths of our hearts.
If you have hidden a bad point deep inside your heart, God will reveal it one day if you don’t remove it, don’t try to fix it and insist on it. God pays attention to people’s hearts
