[3:36]Imam al-hasan Alaska the 11th of Imam of elevate he says the

[3:46]signs of a Believer are five and this is a Hadith coming

[3:54]from Imam and he is trying to explain some of the qualities

[4:00]that identify his followers because as we know after the death of

[4:11]the prophets people began to confuse between right and wrong people began

[4:19]to confuse between the Islam that is representative of the prophets and

[4:25]the teachings of the prophets and the Islam the others they were

[4:28]introducing to people so in this Hadith he points out some of

[4:36]the mustah some of the recommended Acts that are exclusive for the

[4:43]followers meaning that this is something that will identify you as a

[4:49]sheer a follower of the Advent the signs of a Believer are

[4:58]five praying 51 like us now what does this mean how many

[5:08]obligatory like us do we pray in a 24-hour period 17.

[9:50]praying on Earth why because Allah wants me to remind myself five

[9:57]times a day that this Earth is what I will go back

[9:59]to and Allah says from this Earth we created you and from

[10:11]it we will resurrect you and to it we will return you

[10:16]and and from it we will resurrect you at another time from

[10:21]it we created you to it we will return you and from

[10:22]it we will resurrect you so this is why this is why

[10:28]one of the signs is saying one of the signs of the

[10:33]name is to place your forehead on the Earth on the soil

[10:39]Bismillah today you go to Mecca for example you go to Medina

[10:45]and what do you see the Imam do and then suddenly alhamdulillah

[10:55]there's no no recitation of Bismillah even though when you open the

[11:02]Quran what is the first verse that you see [Music] and Allah

[11:06]says when you begin reading the Quran begin with Bismillah seek refuge

[11:13]in God from shaytan and begin anything you do not only Quran

[11:18]anything that you do begin it with Bismillah to your life they

[11:25]will add blessings to your life one day a man he had

[11:29]a stomach ache and he tells him Ali tells him you ate

[11:32]and you didn't say Bismillah so anything you do say Bismillah will

[11:38]be as if you're beginning that in the name of God and

[11:43]this is one of the signs of the movement say it loud

[11:48]this is why our our Scholars they say and all of our

[11:53]prayers the the prayers that we have to read the Quran loudly

[11:57]like we have to say and even in the Lord and as

[12:03]a prayer which the fatah and the Surah are recited with a

[12:07]soft voice we have to say Bismillah and then bring down your

[12:11]voice and the fifth and final point that I wanted to bring

[12:18]to our attention he says this is what will identify you as

[12:29]a sincere follower of the other base when you perform the ziara

[12:35]of Imam and Hussein on the 40th of Imam and today tonight

[12:40]now it is the eve of the urban and karbala and there

[12:48]are millions of visitors of Imam and Hussein that have walked for

[12:53]hundreds of kilometers and miles from all over the world someday start

[12:58]off walking from Iran some from Pakistan some from other places but

[13:02]most of the starting starts from the borders of Iraq from Basra

[13:08]and some from Naja from Baghdad from other places and they walk

[13:12]on their feet all the way to karbala all the way to

[13:17]the grave of Imam Hussein and this is a phenomenon that you

[13:20]will not see with any other person in the world no one

[13:22]else no one else is able to gravitate millions of people it's

[13:29]not as if Imam Hussein died this year or last year I

[13:32]was just watching on the BBC they were saying David Beckham the

[13:38]soccer player he was stand ending for 12 hours last night so

[13:41]that he could go and pay tribute to the queen he stood

[13:46]in line for 12 hours and this was something that was so

[13:48]great I was thinking to myself look at these people in karbala

[13:54]look at these people who go all the way to Iraq Imam

[13:56]Hussain was killed over a thousand three hundred years ago and they're

[14:01]not standing on their feet for 12 hours they're standing on their

[14:06]feet for three four five days walking and they go just to

[14:14]say salaam so now what is they are buying marks 40 days

[14:21]after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and it is a custom that

[14:25]when you have a relative when you have a loved one that

[14:27]has passed away we usually hold a ceremony on the 40th of

[14:35]that person 40th Day one of the first ziara to the grave

[14:46]of Imam Hussein and that was when two visited Imam Hussain one

[14:51]was the famous companion of rasulullah I'm sorry is a famous is

[15:00]a known companion of the holy prophet all Muslims accept him and

[15:05]on the 40th Day after the martyrdom of Imam and Hussein he

[15:12]was with his companion he says he tells me let's go visit

[15:21]Imam Hussein has just been killed the wound is still there from

[15:27]the The Burning Flame in the hearts of the Believers that flame

[15:32]that never extinguishes imagine 40 days after the March of them of

[15:36]Imam Hussain now for us over a thousand years and we feel

[15:41]when the days of maharram the days of come we feel it

[15:43]in our hearts imagine when that wound is very fresh so and

[16:20]Hussain and then he said oh Hussain used to always answer us

[16:31]used to always reply to us now you don't reply to us

[16:34]yes I know why you do not reply to us because your

[16:38]head has been separated from your body because they left you like

[16:42]this in the land of karbala and then he says a very

[16:47]important Hadith from rasulullah and this applies to all of us today

[16:53]he says and the companions of Imam Hussain and then he says

[17:09]I swear by the Lord who sends Prophet Muhammad as a messenger

[17:14]we have joined you we the visitors we have joined you in

[17:17]the thawab we have joined you in the reward of what you

[17:22]did to the companions of Imam Hussain he tells him how do

[17:28]we receive the same reward as them we were not killed we

[17:32]did not carry a sword we did not fight we did not

[17:34]do any of that how can we be receiving the same reward

[17:53]if you love a group of people you will be resurrected with

[17:59]those group of people women and if you like the actions of

[18:11]a group of people then Allah will give you the reward of

[18:15]that action and then he says by God my intention is that

[18:29]of Hussein and the companions so this is why my dear brothers

[18:38]and sisters intentions are very important in Islam actions are important but

[18:44]intentions are very heavy on the scale because the intention is the

[18:48]GPS that guides your actions it's all about your intentions you could

[18:53]be doing something but you might not be doing it for the

[18:55]sake of God you might be doing it for Dunya you might

[18:58]be doing it for people to look at you but if your

[19:05]intentions are purely for the sake of Allah will reward you based

[19:11]on your intentions and today we see millions of visitors they are

[19:15]going to karbala just to reaffirm their allegiance with the Imam of

[19:20]Hussain and to say my intentions are like that of the companions

[19:27]of Imam and Hussein one of the companions of Imam Imam he

[19:34]tells him IBN Shabib the Imam tells him [Music] if you want

[19:50]to be with the prophet in Paradise then you have to disassociate

[19:55]yourself from those who killed them publicly declare that I have nothing

[20:03]to do with them and I do not want God to be

[20:04]pleased with those people who participated in the murder of Imam and

[20:08]Hussein and then he tells him if you want the same reward

[20:21]of those who were killed with Imam Hussein you have to say

[20:26]whenever you remember remember Hussain what do you say you say yeah

[20:33]only if I was with them and I would have been Victorious

[20:38]just as they were and this is what we say today my

[20:44]dear brothers and sisters even if we were not with Imam Al

[20:47]Hussain as long as you purify your intentions and you put them

[20:50]you align your intentions with those who are with the truth then

[20:58]Allah will reward you just as your towards those who are with

[21:02]the truth we will end the first to go to the second

[21:06]Allah is thank you my dear brothers and sisters while we are

[23:23]remembering the Imam and Hussain and commemorating the 40th of Imam and

[23:28]Hussein we have to keep in mind and as the days of

[23:34]Ashura and the days of Imam and Hussain are coming to an

[23:40]end we have to keep in mind that even though these days

[23:42]are going to come to an end but we have to keep

[23:46]the Legacy and the memory of Imam Hussain alive in our hearts

[23:49]we should not make the days of Muharram and the days of

[23:56]the remembrance of Imam and Hussein just empty rituals where we just

[24:00]remember them we remember the Adelaide and then later on we move

[24:05]on with our lives as if nothing has happened today we are

[24:09]in dire need not only of remembering Imam Al Hussain not only

[24:13]of crying for Imam and Hussain even though that in itself is

[24:18]rewarding that in itself is something that is wanted something that we

[24:21]all have to do but we have to also keep in mind

[24:26]that we are in need of the rituals that Hussein stands for

[24:29]the we are in need of the principles stands for and this

[24:35]is something that is very important do you think right now we

[24:37]don't face struggles you think right now holding on to your faith

[24:43]is not difficult just as it was difficult during the time of

[24:48]Imam Hussain right now raising a about raising a family holding on

[24:52]to your faith upholding your Islamic values as a challenge and there

[24:56]are people that are passing the test every day and there are

[25:01]people that are filling the test every day every day we are

[25:05]faced with a challenge Imam and Hussein was tested we are also

[25:08]tested every day this is why the famous Statesman of course this

[25:15]is not a Hadith some people confuse this for a Hadith this

[25:18]was a statement by a scholar a sociologist Sharia where he says

[25:27]this is a statement by a person however it makes a lot

[25:33]of sense makes a lot of sense because every day we are

[25:38]tested every day we Face the struggles every day we have to

[25:42]make the decision something that is pleasing to God or something that

[25:46]may be displeasing to God and we have to make a right

[25:51]decision we have to be inspired by these people that we remember

[25:54]otherwise what's the purpose of remembering Imam you say what's the purpose

[25:57]of the Quran the Quran is filled with stories of prophets and

[26:04]lessons and morals what's the purpose of all of these morals and

[26:07]principles and stories in the Quran the purpose is to inspire us

[26:14]to change our Lives why does Allah talk about Ibrahim why does

[26:18]Allah talk about Jesus why does Allah talk about Moses and why

[26:21]does Allah talk about and these other individuals who are cursed in

[26:26]the Quran just so we read a story of course not wants

[26:31]us to make decisions in our lives Allah wants us to find

[26:38]Role Models real Role Models real heroes to look at this is

[26:42]why Allah says you have the best role model rasulullah is your

[26:53]best role model today am I living my life in a way

[26:58]that rasulullah would be proud of today am I living my life

[26:59]in a way that I could say I'm truly following rasulullah as

[27:05]a role model I'm truly following as role models unfortunately many of

[27:14]us were not many of us were probably following others who lived

[27:18]a life that are that is against the principles that they have

[27:24]debate stood for this is why my dear brothers and sisters the

[27:27]concept of having a hero and a villain in our lives is

[27:33]something very important the Quran says align yourself and Associate yourself with

[27:38]people that could be a real hero in this Dunya and in

[27:41]the and disassociate yourself from someone that could be a villain in

[27:49]this life now what's ironic is that of course we live in

[27:51]a secular society and sometimes you find them telling you don't follow

[27:55]religion don't follow the Quran don't follow the heroes that God gives

[28:02]you but we will create Heroes for you we will create Heroes

[28:06]for you and I'm sure I don't know many of you are

[28:09]following Marvel which is a comic um it's they do comics and

[28:16]it's owned by Disney yesterday or two days ago they just came

[28:20]out with a new hero and this hero is a Zionist Israeli

[28:28]agent and everyone is supposed to look at her as a superhero

[28:33]now and there's a movie coming out Captain America and this hero

[28:37]supposed hero she is going to be acting as a superhero in

[28:40]this movie and her name is Sabra which is the a town

[28:45]that was that the people of that town they were killed and

[28:50]they were tortured so something that is very insensitive to the Arabs

[28:55]to the Palestinians to the Muslims and now Disney is adopting this

[29:00]Disney is adopting this superhero an Israeli Mossad agent becomes a superhero

[29:06]now here for every culture they can create superheroes but you can't

[29:13]come and impose individuals who stand for oppression stand for apartheid stand

[29:21]for uh occupation and taking away the rights of people and you

[29:26]come and you push this as a hero for everyone to follow

[29:31]and obviously we see that this is a way of whitewashing crimes

[29:34]of the occupation of the Israeli Zionist occupation to come and have

[29:40]these superheroes so Disney and kids and all of them they could

[29:47]follow these superheroes and erase all of the bad things that are

[29:50]being done by those establishments so this is why my dear brothers

[29:54]and sisters we remember and I'm saying every year some people they

[29:59]come and they say why is there an insistence on the other

[30:01]base why is there an insistence on these people every year year

[30:03]after year year after year you remember them yes just as year

[30:08]after year people they watch Spider-Man just as year after year people

[30:12]they watch they watch superheroes because we all need someone to look

[30:16]at someone to look at as a role model in our lives

[30:22]and if you choose the right role model then you will live

[30:24]a straight life then you will live a life of God Consciousness

[30:27]and you will live a life that is not breaking the boundaries

[30:34]of Allah and this is why we remember Imam Hussein Hussein is

[30:38]the one who teaches us to stand against all forms of Injustice

[30:42]whoever it may be even if it's someone who is a Muslim

[30:47]that's carrying out the Injustice you stand against that person imagine teaches

[30:50]us to stand with the oppressed teaches us to remove the racism

[30:58]and the bigotry and all of these dividers in community in our

[31:02]families in our communities and focus on the obedience to God which

[31:07]is a United and hold on to the Rope of Allah and

[31:17]do not be divided so my dear brothers and sisters although the

[31:21]days of maharram and Safar are coming to an end and probably

[31:27]after the urban there's not that much remembrance of Imam and Hussein

[31:31]until the next Muharram but we have to hold on to these

[31:34]principles and to these values that the bait and the prophet stand

[31:42]for we ask Allah to protect all of the zoo we ask

[31:47]Allah to make us from amongst the zua of Imam and Hussein

[31:54]we ask Allah to grant us the ziara and the of Imam

[31:59]is Hussein is the most rewarding Allah loves to see a person
