[4:20]to narrations took place on the 17th of 40 years before the

[4:30]bentha before the official prophethood of rasulullah a year known as the

[4:37]year of the elephant because that was the year the Abraham the

[4:45]king marched with the elephants to destroy the Kaaba and of course

[4:52]Allah preserved the Kaaba and Masjid and Haram and destroyed the army

[4:57]that came to attack Mecca it was in that year was born

[5:02]in year 570 Common Era a thousand four hundred and fifty two

[5:07]years ago throughout history and time people are easily forgotten sometimes someone

[5:19]passes away and we forget this person within a few weeks within

[5:23]a few months this person is totally forgotten from our lives however

[5:29]there are certain individuals that remain in history despite the time they

[5:35]are not forgotten because of their contributions because of their influence and

[5:41]one of those individuals and perhaps the greatest of all of mankind

[5:50]and all of creation is and this is not something that only

[5:59]the Muslims believe in this is a belief that even non-muslims when

[6:03]they study the character and the life of rasulullah they see that

[6:09]he was a great character he was a great person in history

[6:13]there's a astrophysicist by the name of Michael Hart he wrote a

[6:19]book many decades ago in the 90s and he wrote this book

[6:26]it's called The Hundred most influential figures in history and on top

[6:33]of the list was second he has Newton and third he has

[6:38]Jesus Prophet Isa some people objected to him they tell him why

[6:45]do you have the prophet of the Muslims as number one most

[6:48]influential person in history his reply was that Prophet Muhammad even though

[6:55]his followers are less than Jesus Jesus has more followers today right

[7:02]now Christianity is the largest religion he said Prophet Muhammad was more

[7:05]influential because he was supremely successful in both Realms he was successful

[7:12]in bringing spirituality and religion but on the other hand he was

[7:17]also successful in establishing a state and establishing a government establishing a

[7:24]military being the head of the military and establishing a very successful

[7:30]state while people in Europe and people all over the world they

[7:39]were in the Dark Ages and even the Arabs prior to Islam

[7:42]they were in the Dark Ages and the age of jahiliyah the

[7:46]age of ignorance he came and he switched that he came and

[7:51]he managed to raise a whole generation of people a whole society

[7:59]a whole community and he made those Arabs who no one liked

[8:02]them no one wanted to be with them no one wanted to

[8:07]have anything to associate with them because you know the Arabian Peninsula

[8:10]was between two empires on one side you have the Roman Empire

[8:14]and on the other side you have the Persian Empire and these

[8:19]were civilizations but the Arabs they were stuck in between Nomads fighting

[8:26]within one with one another however 50 years or even less after

[8:30]the death of rasulullah it was the Muslim empire that had conquered

[8:34]both of us it was the Muslim empire that managed to Captivate

[8:39]and Rule and it was the Muslims who started doing the first

[8:46]surgeries it was the Muslims who brought to us the translations right

[8:49]now the Greek work of Plato and Aristotle and all of that

[8:54]it came to the Muslim land and the Muslims translated it and

[8:56]we have it available today so the role of the Muslim Community

[9:01]became very great was not just a spiritual leader he was a

[9:07]political leader he was a government leader he was a head of

[9:12]state and this is why he was successful and my dear brothers

[9:16]and sisters today we have a duty a responsibility and that is

[9:24]to just tell people who he was all we have to do

[9:29]is tell people about rasulullah Allah describes the prophet several times in

[9:35]the Quran and one verse in Al Imran verse 64 Allah says

[9:43]is Allah has done a great favor upon people and you don't

[10:08]find this Allah in the Quran even though God has everything we

[10:11]have as a favor from Allah Upon Us Allah created us Allah

[10:16]gave us food Allah created us in a in a way where

[10:20]we find our sustenance where we can grow where we can reproduce

[10:22]where we can do so many things Allah doesn't say I have

[10:26]done a favor upon you with all of these things even though

[10:28]those are the greatest favors Upon Us Allah doesn't describe that as

[10:33]Mina Allah doesn't say that he gave you food that he gave

[10:38]you life and he gave you all these things no Allah doesn't

[10:43]say that is a favor from God however when speaking about rasulullah

[10:46]he says God has done a favor upon the Believers that he

[11:03]sent for them from themselves a messenger and this is the rule

[11:10]the Sunnah of God every tribe every group of people Allah sent

[11:13]them a prophet from themselves someone who speaks in their own language

[11:16]he was sent to the Arabs although his religion is a universal

[11:24]religion so this is the greatest favor upon Allah upon us and

[11:29]we need to recognize that we need to recognize that we are

[11:35]lucky to be from the followers of rasulullah we need to recognize

[11:40]that we are privileged to have rasulullah in our lives and if

[11:44]you don't have rasulullah in your life then you're at a loss

[11:48]go and take all the money in the world go and take

[11:51]all of the riches and this Dunya it is nothing in comparison

[11:56]to the fact that you have rasulullah in your heart the fact

[12:00]that Allah has made you from the followers of rasulullah that means

[12:05]Allah has guided you and showed you the path of guidance hidayah

[12:09]and hidayah is not just in this life guidance is in this

[12:14]life and for eternity in the afterlife what is money money comes

[12:17]and goes when we leave this life we are separated from all

[12:22]of that but if God has blessed you that means God has

[12:25]placed the love of rasulullah in your life there's an interesting beautiful

[12:30]Story one day Imam was sitting with his companions and he invited

[12:35]several of his companions he invited them to his house and this

[12:42]is narrated by Abu Hamza Somali you know the one who has

[12:46]delivered to us he was a companion of Imam Imam and perhaps

[12:53]some of the other imams as well imagine being invited to eat

[13:02]at the house of Imam and he said he brought us food

[13:04]and it was the best the most delicious food the dates were

[13:09]so good the food was delicious the Gathering was beautiful and we

[13:12]have an amusada sitting with us they said while we were sitting

[13:19]after eating one of those individuals he looks at all of them

[13:21]and he tells them this is enema this is a blessing from

[13:25]Allah upon us that we are eating this delicious food and this

[13:28]is the name that we're going to be asked about on the

[13:33]day of judgment because Allah says in the Quran you're going to

[13:38]be asked about the name you're going to be asked about the

[13:40]blessings that God has given you he says when that man said

[13:48]that Imam said that he looked at him and he tells him

[13:50]Allah has not known to ask you about the food he gave

[13:55]you God is more generous to feed you and then come and

[13:57]say thank me for the food I gave you God is generous

[14:00]he sees that he has to give everyone food he's the Lord

[14:04]he's the Lord he's given you life he'll give you food God

[14:07]is not going to hold you accountable for the meal that you

[14:11]had no that meal that comes free you're not you're not going

[14:14]to be questioned about that he said but God is going to

[14:17]ask you about rasulullah God is going to ask you about the

[14:23]debate God is going to ask you about your religion this was

[14:25]a hidayah package that was sent to you through prophets and Messengers

[14:29]and books how did you deal with it how did you treat

[14:34]it how did you care for your religion how much value and

[14:37]efforts did you give towards your religion this is what Allah is

[14:42]going to ask us about Allah is going to ask me what

[14:44]did I do for rasulullah how did I show my appreciation to

[14:49]a man like rasulullah how did I show my appreciation to the

[14:54]imams of the Adam this is why my dear brothers and sisters

[14:57]we celebrate we have to celebrate the birth of rasulullah we have

[15:05]to celebrate the births of the imams and today you find some

[15:11]Muslims unfortunately they'll celebrate Christmas more than they celebrate the birth of

[15:17]rasulullah they'll celebrate other non-islamic holidays and they don't celebrate they don't

[15:22]make a big deal about the Islamic holiday the birth of rasulullah

[15:26]this Islamic if I do not teach my kids to have these

[15:30]important joyous occasions as important occasions then my kids are not going

[15:37]to learn to be attached to these individuals yes I know a

[15:41]lot of us we do we focus a lot on the crying

[15:46]Allah and the crying but we also have happy days as well

[15:48]and we have to show that those days are happy days just

[15:52]as I take my kids and my family to the majors Hussein

[15:55]I have to also celebrate the birth of rasulullah this is one

[16:02]aspect of course you find there's some group of uneducated or Twisted

[16:11]mentality they come and they tell you it's an innovation to celebrate

[16:14]the birth of Allah why because the prophet did not celebrate his

[16:21]birth well first of all yes the prophet did not bring a

[16:24]cake and blow out a candle to celebrate his birth that's not

[16:28]how we celebrate the birth of the prophets when we say we're

[16:31]celebrating the birth of rasulullah it doesn't mean that we're bringing Santa

[16:35]Claus and a tree and and doing no we're remembering his life

[16:38]we're doing is that a Buddha to remember the prophet to do

[16:45]salawat upon rasulullah we have to we have to associate ourselves with

[16:53]those who are good because if you know who's a hero then

[16:57]you're going to Aspire to be like that person this is why

[17:01]the Quran is filled with stories of heroes and villains heroes and

[17:05]villains Prophet Musa and then you also have namrud and you have

[17:12]other individuals who are villains and you have Heroes the Quran is

[17:18]filled with this binary why because Allah wants us to associate ourselves

[17:22]with those who are good this is why Allah mentions the stories

[17:26]of the prophets and Allah doesn't only mention the stories of the

[17:32]prophets Allah mentions the birth and talks about the birth of certain

[17:37]individuals Maryam Maryam a lady Allah talks about her birth Allah talks

[17:45]about his work and his birth John the Baptist Allah talks about

[17:50]his birth the son of Ibrahim Allah talks about his birth if

[17:55]that's not a significant event then why would Allah mention it in

[18:00]the Quran that means it is a significant event to remember the

[18:03]birth of these individuals and even twice in the Quran Allah describes

[18:12]Yahya talking about Allah says in the Quran was the day he

[18:25]was born and the day he dies and he was killed prophet

[18:30]and the day he is resurrected to Allah also in Surat Maryam

[18:36]Allah talks about Isa Jesus but this time it's in his words

[18:40]he says and peace be upon me the day I was born

[18:50]because that's a very important day in the life of an individual

[18:56]and we have to remember these individuals now my dear brothers and

[19:01]sisters while we are celebrating and remembering the birth of rasulullah there's

[19:07]so much to talk about the prophet he achieved so much he

[19:12]was great in delivering the religion of Islam delivering the Quran you

[19:17]know the Quran is the actual words of God the Quran was

[19:19]not a book that is in the words of rasulullah or in

[19:23]the words of the companions of rasulullah the Bible for example you

[19:27]find Luke Matthew John all this is their version of the Bible

[19:34]the Quran rasulullah delivered it to us and that is the greatest

[19:39]achievement he delivered the Quran the religion of Islam he delivered for

[19:43]us spirituality he established an Empire a state he did so much

[19:46]however if we want to introduce rasulullah to the world today we

[19:52]could focus on one dimension and you see that this is where

[19:58]the Quran sheds light on this is the most highlighted aspect of

[20:02]the life of Allah and that is he was a man of

[20:08]Mercy tell the world the mercy of rasulullah show the world the

[20:12]compassion and the love of rasulullah my dear brothers and sisters today

[20:20]all that it takes to convince people who rasulullah was tell them

[20:23]one story of the life of the Prophet show them the mercy

[20:26]the love the character Allah the great describes as great and impeccable

[20:36]in another verse Allah says in the Quran verily you were sent

[20:47]only as a mercy not only to your people not to quresh

[20:52]not to the Arabs to all of mankind every single person in

[20:58]humanity benefits from the mercy of rasulullah because God is the Lord

[21:05]of mercy and rasulullah he is the greatest manifestation of God's mercy

[21:14]on Earth he is the greatest of Allah and today we live

[21:18]in a time where we are in need of Mercy we are

[21:22]in need of compassion look at all the wars look at all

[21:25]the fighting look at all of the atrocities that are being committed

[21:30]this is why we need rasulullah in our lives no one could

[21:32]come and say I don't need someone like rasulullah in my life

[21:38]we are all in need of the love of rasulullah to learn

[21:41]how to deal with one another rasulullah was merciful in the house

[21:47]with his own family he showed Mercy with his tribe with his

[21:53]people with his companions with his mer with his friends he was

[21:58]merciful towards everyone this is his companions they were deeply moved by

[22:05]him they were deeply moved by his Mercy I mentioned the story

[22:11]before one day a man the prophet was there was a battle

[22:14]about to take place there were enemies on one side and the

[22:18]prophet he he got separated he got separated from the Muslims so

[22:22]the prophet was laying down a man from the enemies he comes

[22:27]and he stands over his head and he has a sword in

[22:31]his hand and he tells the prophet who is going to save

[22:33]you from me right now it was only the man of the

[22:36]prophet and the man has a sword in his hand he has

[22:39]the sword in his hand and he tells him who's going to

[22:41]save you from me right now right away he said Allah because

[22:46]he has faith in God he said Allah that man tripped he

[22:49]fell his sword fell rasulullah took the sword and he tells him

[22:52]who's going to save you from me right now the man who

[22:57]said your compassion your love and compassion also that doesn't go back

[23:01]go to your family the man goes to his family he goes

[23:07]to the kuffal the non-believers and he says I came from the

[23:10]most generous of people and this is how they joined the religion

[23:12]of Islam this is how so many people joined the religion of

[23:18]Islam he was a leader that did not see himself above anyone

[23:26]else usually leaders right now they go and they declare war they

[23:30]go and they send billions of dollars of weapons so other people

[23:32]get killed right they don't they're not going to go in danger

[23:39]he was in the front line he was always in the front

[23:44]line and he did not want to hurt anyone one day one

[23:50]of the Muslims after one of the battles he comes to the

[23:54]prophets he says Allah I had an encounter with one of those

[23:57]individuals he said I he was fighting me as soon as I

[24:03]raised the sword I was about to hit him he said Allah

[24:06]and then he said I hit him and I killed him why

[24:10]did you do that he said he was just saying it just

[24:15]to live he tells him but you don't know what's in his

[24:18]heart why did you do that this is the club of rasulullah

[24:23]he did not want to see anyone suffering if you're going through

[24:34]struggles this would hurt this is Allah even his enemies the people

[24:43]of quraish they kicked the prophet out of matka they killed his

[24:47]uncle Hamza they oppressed him they heard and they did so much

[24:52]to him despite he didn't do anything to them he was known

[24:56]as the truthful and the trustworthy the prophet was able to reconquer

[25:03]Mecca he came in a conquest he took over Mecca not one

[25:06]person's blood was spilled where do you see someone conquers a city

[25:11]and no one is killed only with rasulullah and some of the

[25:21]companions one of them he started calling out today is the day

[25:28]of Bloodshed today is the day that we're going to take your

[25:30]woman captive rasulullah right away he became upset he gives the flag

[25:38]to Imam Ali and Imam Ali starts today is the day of

[25:44]Mercy today is the day that woman will be honored and respected

[25:47]he forgave all of those people for age that were fighting him

[25:53]he tells them when he conquered Makkah now he is powerful now

[26:01]all of Arabia is under his control the day before he was

[26:06]all alone he had to escape from Mecca now he's coming with

[26:09]an army he's so powerful one of the Arab man he stood

[26:14]in front of the prophet and he was shaking out of fear

[26:17]rasulullah looks at him he tells him oh brother you're my brother

[26:27]why are you afraid of me and then he says you are

[26:32]not who I think I am you who you I am not

[26:35]who you think I am I am the son of the lady

[26:47]that used to milk the goats with her hand and I am

[26:49]your brother this is the flag of rasulullah he doesn't need to

[26:54]tell that man that wait tell them don't be afraid my dear

[26:58]brothers and sisters we have to Aspire to be like Allah [Music]

[27:20]foreign foreign [Music] respecting brothers and sisters the 17th of according to

[29:15]narrations the birth of rasulullah of course there are other narrations that

[29:22]say you was born on the 12th this is why our respected

[29:27]Sunni brothers and sisters they take the Hadith of the the prophet

[29:30]born on the twelve and the majority of the Hadith that he

[29:36]was born on the 17th however in addition to the birth of

[29:39]rasulullah in the year 83 after Hijra and Imam he is also

[29:52]Assad and rasulullah is also Allah his name is the truth for

[30:00]the trustworthy and Imam this title asada was also given to him

[30:07]he revived the message of rasulullah today the followers of the days

[30:16]the Shia is the Islamic rulings just like the in the Sunni

[30:24]school of thought you have the hanafi the Maliki the shafri and

[30:30]the hanbali the filth the Islamic jurisprudence most of it is taken

[31:49]of a scholar a scholar who was and felt he had students

[31:58]even those who were not Shia they would come and they would

[32:01]study under him and he was also a scholar of academics he

[32:04]was a scholar of the Sciences the modern Sciences the father of

[32:11]modern day chemistry was the student of Imam and I decided to

[32:17]live during the Islamic Golden Era and it was during that era

[32:20]that it was the Muslims who started who were the first to

[32:24]do surgeries it was the Muslims who were the first to write

[32:26]checks they would write a check in one place and someone hundreds

[32:32]and thousands of kilometers away they would cash the check they started

[32:35]that system during the Islamic Golden Era and Imam sadak was a

[32:42]Pioneer scholar during that era who had that impact and mamasada was

[32:49]our scholar this is why we have to tell the whole world

[32:58]someone who's very smart but they have no ethics they have no

[33:05]morality was a leader of morality a leader of ethics and this

[33:08]we should aspire to be my dear brothers and sisters we are

[33:15]talking about rasulullah for a reason not so that we just sit

[33:20]and talk about figures that lived over a thousand years ago were

[33:25]talking about them so that our lives can be like theirs we're

[33:30]talking about them so that we can follow them Allah says in

[33:33]the Quran you have the best role model so that means I

[33:42]have to follow also that means I have to follow the debate

[33:46]my dear brothers and sisters inshallah we're having the celebration of the

[33:52]birth of rasulullah and Imam on Sunday here there's going to be

[33:57]a big celebration and I wanted to announce that as well we've

[34:01]started alhamdulillah the Sunday school last week was the orientation and December

[34:06]2nd will be our first fundraising dinner inshallah Roma Banquet Hall you

[34:12]could buy your tickets buy a table for you and your family

[34:15]online or Hassan right here you could buy the table from him

[34:23]and inshallah you will support this organization that is doing a lot

[34:28]for this community inshaallah and we ask Allah to continue to help

[34:34]us and support us in serving Islam and the Muslim Community
