[0:08]they say the devil works hard but Brother Ali Works harder for
[0:13]his sake let's just say a loud salaat respected brothers and sisters
[0:53]we are nearing the end of Shah Ramadan the final night or
[0:58]the final nights of Shah Ramadan and we hope and we ask
[1:00]Allah subhana T to imbue these final nights of this blessed month
[1:05]with Baraka and blessings and on our lives for everyone's well-being Safety
[1:09]and Security let us all recite another loud salawat alhamd must muhamed
[2:06]respected brothers and sisters eluminate your hearts and minds and this blessed
[2:11]gathering with another Muhammed mamad many of us ask the question now
[2:24]what we're on the cusp of concluding this blessed month of sh
[2:32]Ramadan According to some narrations the greatest of the months of Allah
[2:38]for this is the month attributed to Allah and the month of
[2:42]the Holy Quran what's next how do we go forward we spent
[2:48]the month yes having great having great but also we've been spending
[2:56]the month practicing and increasing our spirituality connecting with the holy book
[3:00]of Allah the instruction guide and manual on how to be a
[3:05]better human being we've been practicing our patience our sa our generosity
[3:11]empathizing with those who are in need but how do we take
[3:17]these habits that we've developed this discipline that we've instilled during the
[3:20]month of Shah Ramadan and go forward some people are what's called
[3:26]seasonal Muslims during Shah Ramadan they're wearing the during mam they might
[3:36]get inspired and go get a tattoo but during the other Seasons
[3:42]Shan it's a bit here and there and in fact peace be
[3:51]upon him in in the sermon of the pi he discusses those
[3:54]individuals who are seasonal Muslims he says one of the attributes of
[3:57]a Pious individual is what a Pious M they might sometimes have
[4:05]ups and downs as is the course of life but they instill
[4:08]habits such that throughout the year they're stable their faith the foundation
[4:17]on which it rests is stable yes there might be gusts of
[4:20]wind which might shake it here and there but the foundation is
[4:22]stable and that rests on certain habits that we build going forward
[4:31]my dear brothers and sisters there are four key elements within the
[4:34]human Dimension that we have to pay extra attention to and that
[4:39]we have to whatever we've built towards them during the month of
[4:42]Shah Ramadan we have to continue afterwards the first my dear brothers
[4:45]and sisters is knowledge acquiring knowledge and intellectual Pursuits one of the
[4:58]we have we have we have reciting Quran one of the mentioned
[5:05]in is reading and learning and his statement is General it doesn't
[5:13]necessarily say reading or reading the Quran pursuing knowledge in general if
[5:20]we've made a habit to read one Hadith a day picking up
[5:26]the book of Al by picking up and reading onei let's continue
[5:29]the habits after sh Ramadan as well if I've entered a certain
[5:38]field I'm an expert in it even if it's not religious every
[5:41]now and then every day every week let me pursue some additional
[5:44]reading materials let me further my expertise and my craft in that
[5:49]field let's make it a habit even if it's reading one Hadith
[5:53]a day reading one line of the Holy Quran the Quran the
[5:59]word of Allah the pre Eternal message to all of humankind we
[6:04]spend our time reading it Shan we try to do a full
[6:08]but after shadan do we just leave it so that it collects
[6:10]dust no we have to continue our relationship with the Holy Quran
[6:16]when you read the Holy Quran those are the words of Allah
[6:23]directed towards you and you can respond and hold a conversation with
[6:27]Allah by beseeching him in Dua some Scholars have classified Islam as
[6:37]a technoscientific faith some faiths you find for example Christianity during the
[6:44]Dark Ages they were opposed to Scientific advancements whereas Islam yes we
[6:50]do have our foundations in faith Islam says however go and pursue
[6:54]knowledge while Europe was stuck in the Dark Ages Muslims were at
[6:59]the Forefront of scientific understanding and by the way and Islamic laws
[7:03]do not collide with with modern scientific understandings if science confirms a
[7:09]certain fact Islam does not contradict it so in any given field
[7:16]whatever you decide to do increase your pursuit of knowledge and especially
[7:20]my dear brothers sisters the knowledge of the Holy Quran try to
[7:25]read and understand what are the mechan verses what are the med
[7:28]verses the compilation of the Holy Quran was it compiled in this
[7:36]order that we see in any book that we open like this
[7:38]at the time of or did this come afterward and many of
[7:43]the speakers esteemed speakers who came before me they've discussed these issues
[7:48]once during the Battle of suen one of the companions of am
[7:55]he came up to him and he said I have a problem
[7:59]on one hand I see you the Khalifa the one who I
[8:02]have to follow fighting with a group of Muslims on the other
[8:04]hand I see whoar pagans I see a muslim with a following
[8:12]of Muslims fighting you what do I do two Muslims fight against
[8:19]each other who do I follow one claims he is the aunt
[8:23]he is the uncle of and one is the son oflaw of
[8:29]and his cousin who do I follow he could have said I'm
[8:34]the son inw of I'm the cousin of I was born and
[8:40]raised in the household of but he says what he says read
[8:44]the Quran all the truth and H is mentioned in the Holy
[8:47]Quran whoever follows the Quran you follow that individual at the humility
[8:52]of he could have said obviously you follow me but he says
[8:54]look at the Quran the Quran will guide you to truth thus
[8:58]at first he asked aspect my dear brothers and sisters that we
[9:04]have to focus on is pursuit of intellectual Endeavors secondly my dear
[9:10]brothers and sisters this thin line that we have that we try
[9:14]to repair and mend and make bigger with Allah known as ta
[9:19]has to be strengthened some of us we feel that piety during
[9:22]shadan we feel the effects of the Blessed month we come to
[9:27]the Moss we make it a daily ritual this should not seize
[9:30]if you can't come every single day to the mosque come once
[9:35]a week come for Friday prayer if you can't come every week
[9:38]try to come at least once a month have that tie between
[9:42]you and the mosque the mosque is where Brotherhood and Sisterhood is
[9:47]fostered the mosque is where the um Stands Strong in one Hadith
[9:55]attributed to he States one who helps in building a mosque for
[10:00]me in this dun a mosque is a house of God he
[10:03]says I will build him a house in the always try integrating
[10:08]a mosque a community center within your lifestyle you go take your
[10:14]family members we mentioned reading Quran and understanding Quran in one Hadith
[10:22]it said that IM peace be upon him would do a full
[10:25]meaning reciting the whole Quran from cover to cover every 3 days
[10:29]this is beyond Ramadan every 3 days he would conclude an entire
[10:34]recitation of the Holy Quran we have to strengthen our relationship with
[10:37]the Holy Quran there will be a call out on the day
[10:41]of judgment to all the Believers recite one verse and you will
[10:48]Elevate one level in heaven you'll get a much grander level in
[10:54]heaven now recite on the day of judgment there's no book there's
[10:57]no tablets no iPhone what do you do it's all for memory
[11:01]if you can commit the Quran to memory do your best even
[11:05]if it's just one verse a day if you memorize one verse
[11:08]a day after seven years you've memorized half the Quran if you
[11:11]can't memorize a verse a day a verse a week if you
[11:16]can't do that just read one verse a day make sure you
[11:20]have that habit you find the people who over a long period
[11:23]of time they're the most successful in their Fitness Pursuits they're the
[11:29]most consistent when it comes to hitting the gym are not those
[11:31]who go 3 or four hours a day they might go half
[11:35]an hour 1 hour but they're consistent so don't try to say
[11:40]you know sh Ramadan I was doing a whole every single day
[11:43]and I'll continue doing that but then after a week you fall
[11:48]off build small but sustainable habits and try increasing your tawa if
[11:52]you have negative habits my dear brothers sisters that we've picked up
[11:56]now is the time to break away from these habits Shah Ramadan
[12:01]is a month imbued with spiritual energy if you can grasp the
[12:06]spiritual energy and be on the same wavelength as the Blessed month
[12:13]of Shah Ramadan anything you put your mind to it you can
[12:16]do if you have negative habits that you've picked up sins that
[12:21]you're trying to get rid of but it's so difficult now is
[12:25]the time to stop don't say tomorrow after tomorrow right now make
[12:29]it commitment tonight on the final night or in the final nights
[12:31]of sh Ramadan you will end this will be it procrastinating my
[12:38]dear brothers and sisters has dangerous ramifications once a beduin a desert
[12:44]dweller who was on the outskirts of Medina came and he visited
[12:49]he said I've been hearing from the tribes and those Caravans who
[12:55]travel about your mission about your faith he says I used to
[12:58]be a pagan but something about your mission is drawing me to
[13:03]you and this that you've espoused and that I've heard about I
[13:06]really enjoy it preach to me some more so he preaches to
[13:12]him he preaches to him the justness of Allah he preaches to
[13:15]him social justice and the other beautiful teachings of Islam and now
[13:20]they're in Medina in Medina many of the laws and Islamic laws
[13:25]were revealed so he begins preaching to him about prayer he begins
[13:28]preaching to him about fasting and the other the other Islamic laws
[13:31]until he reaches the laws of alcohol up until that point he's
[13:39]nodding his head he agrees with everything that is saying but once
[13:43]he reaches the laws of alcohol he says oh what is your
[13:48]interpretation on alcohol says well first of all this is Allah not
[13:50]me I'm just the messenger and secondly alcohol within the faith of
[13:53]Islam is prohibited he preaches to him about Islamic laws on alcohol
[13:59]after that he takes a break he thinks for a moment then
[14:04]he says you know everything you mentioned about I agree I would
[14:07]see my family members they worship these Idols I always thought it
[14:11]was nonsense you preach about social justice that no matter what your
[14:14]rank is in the tribe if you're an Arab say or if
[14:19]you're a non-arab slave in the eyes of Allah ta is what
[14:21]matter everything you say I agree but you know I'm an addict
[14:26]I drink alcohol when I wake up before I have lunch after
[14:28]I have lunch and when I go to sleep he says I
[14:31]can't really quit now he says I agree with everything you're saying
[14:34]but alcohol it's it's too soon he says inshallah I plan on
[14:40]traveling the desert next year when I come back hopefully I'll have
[14:43]quit alcohol and I'll accept Islam looks at him he says don't
[14:49]wait if you accept Islam as you just espoused you accept Allah
[14:52]as your lord and you accept the te the tenants and teachings
[14:54]of Islam take the shahada right now become a Muslim he says
[14:59]well if I become a Muslim do I also have to follow
[15:03]the rules and laws on alcohol soah tells him yes he says
[15:08]I'll wait the Hadith says what happens to him he goes he
[15:12]continues his lifestyle as a beduin and he dies a few months
[15:19]later he did not have the to of coming back to Medina
[15:22]and joining Allah's Mission we should not wait my dear brothers and
[15:28]sisters right now we have to take this moment Tomorrow Will Never
[15:31]Come Take the moment take the now and ask Allah to change
[15:36]your ways you make a vow you make a commitment to change
[15:41]and Allah subhana will do the rest take one step Allah will
[15:46]take 10 in onei says if you want to change your old
[15:49]habits if you want to accept have your Toba be accepted by
[15:55]Allah these are the following steps he says number one you have
[15:59]have to feel true and sincere remorse you have to feel guilty
[16:03]if someone's wronged you they've done against you they've backbitten and then
[16:07]they come up to you and they apologize but they're smiling and
[16:11]doesn't seem like they have a care in the world they don't
[16:13]seem guilty at all you're not likely to accept their apology the
[16:18]first step is you have to sincerely feel remorseful that when I
[16:23]sinned when I held on to these negative habits regardless of what
[16:26]they were the Hadith says don't look at the size of your
[16:29]sin look at whom you're sinning against feel genuine remorse that despite
[16:35]Allah has given you everything in this universe all the potential you
[16:38]need to succeed all these blessings and yet I transgress you have
[16:45]to feel remorseful there was once a companion during the time of
[16:50]this was during the time of J he was a true standard
[16:57]Arab he was a warrior he was a fighter he had pride
[17:04]and honor as dictated by the customs of the Arabs and unfortunately
[17:07]one of the bad Customs that they had one of the ugly
[17:09]negative Customs that they had was their dis was their despise of
[17:16]their infant daughters so he had several children all men and he
[17:20]was proud of them his young boys one year he goes with
[17:24]his tribe and they fight another tribe they're engaging in some type
[17:29]some type of jihad he comes back he's with his family he
[17:36]notices sometimes his wife would bring this young little infant this young
[17:43]girl and she'd say this is my sister's daughter and she would
[17:46]show love for her affection and so he didn't think much of
[17:49]it over the months and over the years he noticed that this
[17:54]nephew or niece of his daughter of his wife she would come
[18:00]very often for visit such that she was almost a part of
[18:04]the family a while later he began suspecting that his wife when
[18:12]she told him that this is her niece this might not be
[18:14]in fact her niece back then most of the Arabs they lived
[18:19]in extended households right one huge complex with many families so it's
[18:22]not that they would live in separate households so people would be
[18:26]in and out he began suspecting that why he was away for
[18:32]over a year perhaps this may have been his daughter now why
[18:36]if that's the case would his wife have shielded that news well
[18:39]she knew if she was to break the news to him that
[18:42]he has a daughter like many of the other Arabs this cursed
[18:45]tradition he would have buried her alive at the time that was
[18:52]seen as being a proper man so the Hadith says she's older
[18:57]now she in her tween he's outside in the backyard his wife
[19:03]is out she's shopping outside the house doing something he's digging and
[19:07]he's preparing crops when this young girl supposedly his his wife's Snee
[19:15]she comes outside and she's helping him she's carrying the dirt for
[19:18]him she's helping him outside bringing him his tools he's inside the
[19:22]ditch he's digging his face is dirty covered with mud and sand
[19:28]this young girl she comes and she takes the sand off his
[19:34]face with her hands very gently and that moment somehow he has
[19:39]the feeling that this is definitely my daughter what does he do
[19:44]he takes her he kills her and he places her in that
[19:49]ditch this is the Arab Customs at the time after he kills
[19:59]her he's thinking what did I just do I just took a
[20:03]life and that might have been my daughter he says you know
[20:09]in that moment I just I don't know what happened I thought
[20:11]this is what it means to be a man but now oh
[20:14]my God I screw it up what do I do and he's
[20:20]feeling remorseful he's like I've never had a screw up as big
[20:26]as this he says yes this is maybe what my family what
[20:27]my tribe what my culture teaches me on how to be a
[20:30]man but what kind of culture is this I just killed an
[20:31]innocent young girl so he's feeling very remorseful he goes to the
[20:40]house of he knocks on his door he sees says what news
[20:45]what do you have what business do you have he says I've
[20:50]committed a big sin a really really big sin says what is
[20:56]it no matter what your sin is Allah will forgive he says
[21:02]my sins are greater than all the lands that we walk upon
[21:08]looked at him he smiled and he says but Allah's Mercy is
[21:14]greater than that he tells but my sins are greater than all
[21:18]the oceans on this Earth that's how guilty he felt looks at
[21:23]him and he says even yet Allah's Mercy is still greater if
[21:29]you turn towards Allah Allah will forgive you then he says I
[21:33]feel that my sin is greater than all the universe tells him
[21:41]Allah's Mercy is greater than that he says I feel like my
[21:45]sin is greater than what Allah's Mercy can Encompass at this point
[21:50]got angry he said don't say that one of the greatest sins
[21:54]in Islam is despairing despairing from God's mercy he says don't say
[22:00]that whatever your sin is Allah will forgive you he says this
[22:03]is my sin and he begins telling him what happened how he
[22:07]saw that young girl how she was brushing the dirt off his
[22:14]face and his forehead and what he did he was sent as
[22:20]a Mercy to Mankind his heart was so merciful but yet when
[22:23]he heard this he looked at him and he told him oh
[22:28]man get out of here before Allah's curse falls on us that's
[22:32]how severe this sin was now this man he turns to whom
[22:36]the one who was sent as a Mercy to Mankind and he
[22:41]treats him with this harsh language he says I don't know what
[22:44]to do if even has turned me away where do I go
[22:50]it said theith he goes to nearby Mountain he goes on top
[22:55]of the hill he places a pole and he chains himself to
[22:58]the whole and he looks towards the skies he says oh Allah
[23:01]I'm not moving from here until you've forgiven me I will never
[23:04]make the same mistake and I will be a different person after
[23:08]this but I want a sign from you oh God I am
[23:12]not moving until you forgive me the Hadith says three days later
[23:15]descends upon and he says go to so and so mountain and
[23:20]tell this person fan that you've been forgiven you were remorseful and
[23:24]you showed it with your actions and Allah will forgive you so
[23:28]goost to him he sees him in what state he's chained he
[23:32]hasn't eaten he hasn't drank in 3 days but when he sees
[23:38]his face lights up he says oh have I been forgiven the
[23:41]prophet tells him yes my dear brothers and sisters no matter what
[23:49]our sin is no matter what kind of Lifestyle we've had if
[23:54]it wasn't exactly an Islamic lifestyle it wasn't exactly a lifestyle that
[23:59]mu mink would approve it wasn't the best of Lifestyle but that
[24:04]doesn't matter that's in the past today right now you can make
[24:08]the decision to have a different future to have a different type
[24:12]of relationship with Allah once was walking in the desert with his
[24:15]companions when on one of the branches of a tree they see
[24:20]a bird's nest he tells his companions look at that Nest do
[24:23]you see the bird with its young hatchlings they're young and how
[24:28]does a mother bird feed its chick through its it places it
[24:30]in its MTH it regurgitates it it feeds its chicklings it's a
[24:35]very wholesome scene he says look at how much love this motherb
[24:38]bird the parent is showing towards its kids Allah loves you 70
[24:44]times more that's how much Allah loves you and he wants you
[24:49]to turn towards him Allah's door is always open all we have
[24:51]to do is just take that first step thirdly my dear brothers
[25:01]and sisters another important aspect that we have to be careful another
[25:07]important aspect of the virtues of Shah Ramadan that we have to
[25:11]continue afterwards is establishing our kin our ties with our family alhamdulillah
[25:18]many of us during Shah Ramadan we have these beautiful dinners We
[25:23]Gather for we see our family perhaps on a nightly basis these
[25:29]ties that we've developed these close relationships we have to maintain them
[25:35]throughout the year within the Islamic Paradigm our first duy towards Allah
[25:45]and the faith of God our priority rests on our faith second
[25:47]in line is our families my dear brothers and sisters the family
[25:53]system is the system that the um rests upon if the fames
[25:58]in Islam are strong if marriages are strong and the nuclear family
[26:04]and the extended families if this system is strong then the Muslim
[26:07]um will be strong but once we have breakups and toxic relationships
[26:14]and we have broken families this will regurgitate and this will have
[26:21]effects on the wider Muslim if you look at many students in
[26:25]school many of them who struggle either with grades or with mental
[26:31]health or with substance abuse majority of the times you can trace
[26:35]this back to either their childhood or a broken home part of
[26:40]being a good Muslim my dear brothers and sisters is being a
[26:45]good father is being a good mother being a good son or
[26:48]daughter being a good brother a good sister being a good cousin
[26:52]these aspects of our relationships are very important according to the Hadith
[26:58]if you want to have a long life that in which your
[27:05]destiny is written in which the land in which you die the
[27:11]age in which you die how you die is written if you
[27:13]want to extend your life you maintain your ties with your kinship
[27:19]you check up on them you send them a message let's say
[27:21]you have a relative that you haven't talk to in a while
[27:25]tomorrow after tomorrow it's Eid pick up the phone give them a
[27:29]call congratulate them on the if that's too much just send a
[27:31]message telling them if your parents are in town go visit them
[27:37]if not call them establishing ties my dear brother sisters is very
[27:41]very important if you want to deflect B from your life establish
[27:48]ties with your kid the family unit within Islam is sacred thus
[27:53]we have to always maintain these ties if you've developed stronger relationships
[27:58]during the month of Ramadan let that continue and persist afterwards as
[28:03]well and fourth and lastly and we'll conclude with this one final
[28:09]aspect that we have to focus on during Shah Ramadan and afterwards
[28:13]is our contributions toward society and our contributions toward a community many
[28:20]of us we feel the spiritual upliftment during Shah Ramadan we come
[28:24]to the mosque we volunteer we meet with our fellow community members
[28:28]this community system has to continue afterwards make sure you're always an
[28:34]attendee at the mosque make sure you bring your family and your
[28:39]friends as well be a part of the community and contribute to
[28:44]the community in whatever way that you can if you can contribute
[28:47]with your time if you can contribute with your finances if you
[28:49]can even contribute with your Dua there are many of our brothers
[28:55]and sisters across the globe we may not be able to help
[28:58]them iMed mediately and directly but what we can offer them and
[29:01]every M can offer is their Dua so on a night like
[29:05]this the final nights of shadan make duas for your fellow brothers
[29:07]and sisters those who are in Philistine those in Iraq and Afghanistan
[29:12]right now in Sudan and Somalia all across the globe in Lebanon
[29:17]make duas for your brothers and sisters and contribute in whatever way
[29:21]that you are able and don't say you know I'm just one
[29:25]person in the grand scheme of things what can I do if
[29:29]you put your mind to it Allah subhana will open doors that
[29:33]you never thought were possible in 1961 a man a Spaniard by
[29:42]the name of justo Gago a Spanish man he was an athetic
[29:45]monk meaning he used to live in the monastery he was poor
[29:52]he wasn't married he would subside on just loaves of bread and
[29:57]water he decided one day that in his village outside of Madrid
[30:03]he wanted to build in dedication to God one of the largest
[30:07]cathedrals in the world when he told and he brought up this
[30:10]idea to his friends the other monks his family members they all
[30:14]laughed at him they said if you want to do this alone
[30:16]by yourself without the help of the Catholic church I you're going
[30:21]to fail you're just one man you're poor you have nothing in
[30:24]your savings account you're not even married how are you going to
[30:28]do this he said I believe in God and if God Wills
[30:33]for this to happen it will happen and he says I feel
[30:38]that it is my calling to engage in this so put yourself
[30:42]in his shoes he's a poor guy he has no connections he
[30:48]doesn't network with the elites he doesn't know how to fund raise
[30:51]how does he go about building a large Cathedral he began in
[30:59]1961 he would go to the nearby dumpster and pick out bricks
[31:02]leftover bricks that no one wants to use and he would begin
[31:04]collecting them he would go and collect pipes he would collect other
[31:13]building equipment over the years you can read a story on Wikipedia
[31:17]it took him over 51 years slowly slowly but surely collecting materials
[31:26]and building he placed the first bricks after he built the foundation
[31:31]he needed to do what the glass artwork the beautiful painted glass
[31:37]but he I he's a monk he doesn't know so he went
[31:38]and he trained with someone who's an expert and he learned the
[31:41]art of painted glass and he was able to construct beautiful mosaics
[31:48]you'd think this is an expert Italian painter and artist but it's
[31:53]just a monk who didn't have the means and the resources but
[31:57]he had the vision and he began constructing and constructing and now
[32:01]this is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe in 2015 this
[32:08]Cathedral opened up and it is considered one of the largest Cathedrals
[32:12]and they have a plaque in his honor and because he dedicated
[32:16]his life towards this Mission he had ass and his will to
[32:21]be buried in that Cathedral one man of humble means but of
[32:24]a Grand Vision for his community you can find a similar story
[32:28]in Turkey in the city oful in an area the neighborhood of
[32:33]fat there's a mosque that you can visit it's three floors it's
[32:36]not big it's mediumsized there's a plaque that says this mosque is
[32:46]called Sim what is sadim this is Turkish for the mosque of
[32:49]as if I ate literally the name of the mosque is the
[32:54]mosque of as if I ate usually when people name MOS they
[32:57]name them stuff like that so what kind of name is this
[33:03]on the plaque there's a paragraph explaining 300 years ago during the
[33:07]Ottoman Empire there was a farmer one day he had some extra
[33:16]funds he went to the marketplace and he bought some pomegranates for
[33:18]him and his family when he came home he placed the pomegranates
[33:21]he told his family I have a quick errand I have to
[33:24]run and I'll be back when I come back let's eat these
[33:25]pomegranates together he goes he comes back he sees his family has
[33:31]already started they were hungry they ate the pomegranates and the one
[33:34]pomegranate that he had left for himself they also ate that and
[33:38]they were hungry they couldn't wait for him so he says my
[33:40]family they couldn't wait until I was back you know half an
[33:45]hour to eat this pomegranate with me he says when I die
[33:47]and I go to my grave which will be my new home
[33:51]and I'll spend a considerable amount of time there what will be
[33:54]my legacy if so quickly I was gone half an hour my
[33:58]family forgot me my kids my grandkids are they going to remember
[34:00]me what Legacy am I going to leave behind in that moment
[34:05]a seed was implanted in his mind and he said I want
[34:07]to build a mosque he goes and he tells his friends and
[34:11]they all tell him you're crazy and you're a farmer at the
[34:16]time all the MOs in isul were constructed by either the elites
[34:19]or the emperor himself the aan cff and they had I mean
[34:26]millions of Dinars and gold wealth I mean you're just a farmer
[34:28]what can you do but he says no like justo he had
[34:34]a vision he says I might not have much but I'll do
[34:39]what I can what can I do every now and then twice
[34:44]or three times a week on his way back from work he'd
[34:46]stop at the marketplace and he'd have you know cravings for a
[34:51]sweet treat some kind of delicacy chocolate so he take some money
[34:54]and buy ever since that day he made a vow whenever I
[34:58]go to the store and I see something that I crave a
[35:03]sweet chocolate a pomegranate I'll take it and I'll put it back
[35:05]and the money that I was going to spend I'll take it
[35:09]from this pocket and I'll place it in the next and I'll
[35:10]say it's as if I ate he didn't eat the chocolate he
[35:14]didn't eat the sweet but he said it's as if I ate
[35:18]and that money would go towards the funds for building a mosque
[35:22]now pomegranates chocolate these sweets they're not worth much a couple dollars
[35:26]but he was consistent every day that he wanted to purchase something
[35:32]he would place that funds until years later he had enough wealth
[35:36]to build a MOS that stands 300 years later and every day
[35:41]hundreds of Believers go and pray and it's in one of the
[35:43]most populous neighborhoods in isul so my dear brothers and sisters don't
[35:47]think that you are small I me States you might think that
[35:52]you're just a small Cog in the system a spec but he
[35:58]says all the UN unverse is enveloped within you if you put
[36:01]your mind to something Allah subhana tala will Aid you so we
[36:07]ask Allah subh tala to grant us our and our deeds and
[36:11]our actions that we've performed during Shah Ramadan we ask Allah subh
[36:15]to accept oural and theal of all the Believers who have attended
[36:18]who've contributed who've attained spiritual enlightenment during Shah Ramadan we ask Allah
[36:24]subhana ta'ala to Grant all Muslims across the globe a serene and
[36:28]peaceful Aid and for those who are undergoing trials tribulations and oppression
[36:33]that he sends them his Aid and his victory and his Serenity
[36:49]for the sake of our for those who've attended these majalis our
[36:55]beloved ones let us also recite another s F but before that
