[0:02]i begin in the name of the almighty god the compassionate the

[0:09]merciful the one who has created everything in utmost perfection and may

[0:13]the blessing and may the blessings of the almighty god be upon

[0:16]his pure and beloved messenger the peak of his creation the symbol

[0:22]of humanity the holy prophet muhammad s and his immaculate progeny of

[0:34]the bait peace be upon them especially the leader of our time

[0:38]the awaited savior may allah his reappearance and make us all amongst

[0:47]the sincere and dedicated servants allah subhanahu ta allah states in the

[0:51]holy quran in surah israel verse 26 and give the nearest of

[1:06]your kin your relative your family their right on this day my

[1:10]dear brothers and sisters we commemorate the legacy of lady khadijah this

[1:17]lady who sacrificed everything in the way of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[1:22]as narrations indicate she passed away on the tenth day of the

[1:27]month of ramadan and the prophet sallallahu alaihi experienced severe sorrow for

[1:34]her loss this verse here is tied to the amazing contributions that

[1:46]lady khadija alayhi salam gave for islam lady khadijah gave all her

[1:50]wealth in the way of allah the prophet now in this dunya

[1:54]he wants to pay her back on the day of judgment allah

[1:57]will pay her back no doubt about that but here in this

[2:03]dunya the prophet sallallahu alaihi wanted to pay her back you know

[2:08]how he paid her back according to one of our hadith he

[2:13]states that even the dowry lady khadija alaihi refused to take the

[2:20]full dowry from the prophet it wasn't much but she refused that's

[2:23]how generous she was in fact some narrations indicate she said i'll

[2:29]sponsor my own dowry i don't ask you for a dowry ya

[2:35]rasulullah so apparently according to this hadith the prophet did not give

[2:39]her the full dowry because she refused to accept it she wanted

[2:43]to be the one who would spend and give from her wealth

[2:46]but this is rasulullah the most generous and when he was in

[2:50]mecca he didn't have really money people were starving there there were

[2:54]priorities he wanted to save people who were being oppressed so he

[3:00]didn't have any personal money there to pay her back well what

[3:08]happens in the year seven of the hijrah the prophet sallallahu alaihi

[3:11]after he is given half of the land of fedex and when

[3:18]he gets access to this land which was a very wealthy land

[3:24]with a lot of riches allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sends jibra ill

[3:29]with this verse surah islam verse 26.

[3:34]descends on the prophet and basically explains to him remember khadija and

[3:42]all her sacrifices now is the time to pay her back how

[3:45]do i pay her back khadijah has passed away 10 years by

[3:53]now how do i pay her back pay her back by giving

[3:57]the land a fedex to her heir to her inheritors and on

[4:02]that day who was the only inheritor for lady khadija that was

[4:08]so allah commands his prophet to give the land of fedex so

[4:17]the prophet brings imam ali he tells him i want you to

[4:20]make this into a document on this day i rasulullah give the

[4:26]land of fedex to my daughter fatima and he has it signed

[4:29]imam ali alayhi salaam is the witness um amen was also there

[4:35]she also testified um amen for a while she had a motherly

[4:41]roll towards the prophet sallallahu alaihi such that the prophet said she's

[4:47]from the people of heaven she also witnessed that the prophet gave

[4:52]fatima the land of so today in honor of the legacy of

[4:58]lady khadijah let's briefly examine what the land of fedex was what

[5:01]the significance of it is and what lessons can we learn from

[5:04]it so year seven the prophet salallahu alaihi comes back from the

[5:10]treaty of hodeidah as soon as he arrives madinah he is commanded

[5:15]by god to go to khaibar is about a hundred miles from

[5:19]medina north of medina why did the prophet go there there was

[5:24]a strong jewish fort in khaibar the prophet when he came to

[5:32]medina he made a peaceful pact with the jews we live together

[5:36]peacefully you practice your faith we practice our faith we don't hurt

[5:41]you you don't hurt us the prophet made them sign and muslims

[5:44]were so peaceful with the jews they even had the upper hand

[5:50]in the economy the prophet let them you know the bazaar the

[5:54]market they were very active in the market the prophet gave them

[5:57]the freedom just respect us and we'll respect you well what happened

[6:02]is the three main jewish tribes in and around medina they broke

[6:07]the terms of the treaty the first of them was benue this

[6:12]jewish tribe you know what they did they made many crimes but

[6:17]one of them one day one day in the market they harassed

[6:20]a muslim woman she was veiled she was covering her body they

[6:28]harassed her and they exposed her body before men they made her

[6:30]naked before the men and they started laughing at her this is

[6:35]a big violation the prophet gave you peace to live in medina

[6:38]and you do this to a muslim lady and then some muslim

[6:42]man came to protect her one of the muslim men ended up

[6:46]being killed the prophet told them look i've been patient all this

[6:51]time violation after violation after violation now it's over you harass a

[6:55]woman and you kill a person leave the prophet asked them to

[6:59]leave you did not kill them as the terms of the agreement

[7:02]was he had every right to kill them he did not enslave

[7:06]their women and children he told them leave that's the most humane

[7:10]way i can treat you you don't stop your aggression that's banu

[7:13]the second tribe in and around medina was banu nadir banu navir

[7:19]also committed many crimes the last of them one day when the

[7:22]prophet was in a farm they tried to assassinate him the prophet

[7:28]told them leave you can't stay here the last of them was

[7:32]benu during the battle of azab they conspired with the pagans to

[7:38]kill the prophet and they told the pagans you come to medina

[7:43]will show you from where you can enter because we live here

[7:46]so we know the logistics of this city and we will kill

[7:51]the prophet and kill the muslims for once and for all the

[7:55]prophet sallallahu alaihi also had the traitors killed those men who were

[8:01]fighting and they committed treason and the others he told them leave

[8:04]so these jewish tribes they left madinah many of them where did

[8:10]they go they went to khayibar now the khebaris they had one

[8:15]goal in their life at this point we need to kill this

[8:17]man and we need to end this religion we can't stand his

[8:23]success now he's powerful now he's successful we wanted the final prophet

[8:27]to come from us now the final prophet is from the arabs

[8:31]from the line of isma'il no no we cannot accept that so

[8:35]they conspired day and night to kill the prophet they would reach

[8:39]out to the pagans to the idol worshipers which the bible condemns

[8:44]idol worshipping but they have a common enemy and that's the prophet

[8:47]salallahu alaihi so allah informed the prophet you have to go and

[8:50]deal with these khai bodies enough is enough if you don't do

[8:55]something today tomorrow they will bring thousands of people and eventually they

[8:58]will destroy the religion of islam so the prophet marches to khaibar

[9:02]when the prophet arrives at he tries to negotiate with them stop

[9:07]give up your arms let's leave peacefully nothing worked with those khaibaris

[9:12]and khaibar was a very big fort over 20 000 people lived

[9:20]in 20 000 people you know the population of medina at the

[9:24]time three thousand you can see the size of this place they

[9:28]had two thousand strong warriors and ten thousand additional fighters that's how

[9:35]strong kreber is but the prophet salallahu alaihi number one has the

[9:39]support of allah secondly who does he have he has one man

[9:44]who's equivalent to more than all those twenty thousand combined and that

[9:52]is he takes imam ali with him for some days the prophet

[9:54]gives the opportunity to the companions you act so brave and you

[10:00]always think that you have victories go he gives this companion the

[10:04]banner he gives that companion the banner they all come back failed

[10:09]failing failing from opening the fort until the prophet makes his beautiful

[10:15]statement tomorrow i shall give this raj this banner to a man

[10:20]a man who is truly loved by allah and his messenger and

[10:24]he loves allah and his messenger he never goes back without a

[10:32]victory he goes head-on until he achieves victory a day now the

[10:37]companions were anxious who's that going to be is it going to

[10:41]be us so some of the companions they say we started to

[10:44]step on our toes you know make ourselves taller so the prophet

[10:47]sees us and he gives us the banner suddenly at that point

[10:52]a point imam al-islam had trouble with his vision he had an

[10:55]eye condition called ramad in arabic it's an infection in the eye

[10:59]the prophet said bring me ali they were surprised ali can't fight

[11:07]right now he can barely see a mirror in front of him

[11:10]they bring imam ali to the prophet the prophet sallallahu alaihi wipes

[11:16]his blessed hands on the eyes of amir al-mu'min immediately allah subhanahu

[11:20]ta'ala cures him he takes the banner he goes and you know

[11:25]what happened in khaibar right you know how imam ali ibn abi

[11:27]talib killed marhab and he lifted the gate of khaibar after khaibar

[11:33]was settled and the prophet achieved victory he made a peace treaty

[11:37]with them those who remained in khaibar let's live peacefully give up

[11:41]your arms stop fighting us you live under the protection of islam

[11:44]there was a nearby village called fedex also run by the jews

[11:51]fedex was a very developed fertile land with all these palm trees

[11:57]fruit trees it was a beautiful land it would produce a lot

[12:04]of food every single year so when the people of fedex heard

[12:10]that the prophet and imam ali have achieved victory but they're like

[12:14]look why should we fight this man isn't it time for us

[12:18]to believe god gives him victory so they had a leader by

[12:21]the name of yusha eben noon he was the leader of the

[12:25]jews athadic by the way fedex is not too far from qibla

[12:30]it's pretty much in the same geographic area they negotiated with the

[12:34]prophet they told him oh muhammad sallallahu alaihi let's negotiate with you

[12:39]and so the agreement was we won't fight we won't have any

[12:44]problems half of our land belongs to you whatever our land produces

[12:48]is for yours so they gave him that half in the form

[12:53]of fedex the land the fedex the farmland of fedex was given

[12:59]to the prophet now this land belonged not to the muslims it

[13:03]belonged only to the prophet why because according to islamic law in

[13:08]the quran if you go to battle and muslims participate in the

[13:16]battle they get a share of the war spoils the war booties

[13:19]the war spoils they must get a share from them and the

[13:24]prophet would give them their share that's why he did give them

[13:27]their share but the quran tells us very clear that if you

[13:31]open a land without any fighting who owns that land only the

[13:37]prophet sallallahu alaihi the muslims don't have any share in it so

[13:40]this slang from day one belonged only to who to rasulullah that's

[13:47]how the prophet received fedex was a very important land according to

[13:51]some historians it would produce somewhere between twenty thousand to seventy thousand

[13:58]dinars every year can you imagine even at that time some historians

[14:05]in kufa they said there are more more palm trees in fedex

[14:11]than the entire entire city of kufa imagine how rich and agricultural

[14:16]it was so now the prophet has access to this land as

[14:18]soon as he gets access to it what does allah command him

[14:22]ya rasulullah your dowry pay your dowry to khadijah now you have

[14:27]money you're rich now this is personal money it's not money that

[14:30]belongs to muslims this is yours according to the law of allah

[14:34]now pay her back how do i pay her back give her

[14:39]inheritors who are her the only living inheritor of lady khadija on

[14:44]that day was lady fatima alaihissalam so the prophet comes and he

[14:47]gives the land of fedex to lady fatima so number one the

[14:53]prophet gives fedex to fatima in order to thank her mother khadija

[14:59]for her sacrifices he's paying her back in this dunya i'll give

[15:03]it to your daughter number two the prophet knew after him imam

[15:06]ali alayhi salaam needs this resource in order to you know implement

[15:14]the law of god in order to rule because he's the khalifa

[15:16]that the prophet appointed so you need to give him an important

[15:20]economic resource so he can run the affairs of muslims and so

[15:26]that his own progeny from the bait ali would also have a

[15:30]constant economic resource to do good to help the poor to make

[15:37]society a better place from year 7 she personally has access to

[15:44]the land of fedex she had workers there they would come they

[15:47]would report to her and she would use the money every year

[15:50]from this land to help out the poor many people were coming

[15:55]to islam many people had problems she went she would fund charitable

[16:00]projects now my dear brothers and sisters what happened to this land

[16:04]truly when you look at our muslim history it really pains us

[16:09]this is rasulullah who was the most loyal the most loyal man

[16:15]in history anyone who did him the smallest favor the prophet would

[16:19]pay him back what happened to the land of fedex after rasulullah

[16:24]even this land that was in the hands of albeit they came

[16:28]and they took it away from them listen to what i'm saying

[16:34]he sends a letter to one of his governors in basra uthman

[16:39]he tells him yes we had in our hands the land of

[16:52]fedex all we had we then made the only land that we

[16:56]had was this land of fedex but there were some people they

[17:07]have a stingy nephs they're stingy they could not see us the

[17:12]albeit having this land so they confiscated it to us confiscated it

[17:18]from us then the imam alayhi salaam here wants to make it

[17:20]clear some people may think the imam thinks materialistically you think imam

[17:25]cares about a piece of land the imam here makes a clarification

[17:30]the imam alayhi you think i care about a piece of land

[17:37]don't think that i am upset because of money because of a

[17:44]piece of property then the imam gives us his beautiful advice you

[17:58]think i care about a piece of land when tomorrow my home

[18:03]will be a grave will be a small grave who cares about

[18:07]a piece of land don't think adi is concerned with this piece

[18:10]of property nfc i train my navs through taqwa so yes we

[18:20]have clear hadiths that fedex was taken from the debate and lady

[18:25]fatima alaihissalam she came to the khalifa he was selected by a

[18:33]few and by force he was the khalifa she told him this

[18:42]one in islamic law when someone lives in a piece of property

[18:47]and you claim that this house is yours this property is yours

[18:52]according to islamic law who is entitled to that property the one

[18:58]in whose possession is the property you need to bring evidence that

[19:09]to prove to you that it's my phone no if someone claims

[19:11]it they need to bring evidence not you the one who has

[19:16]access to it lady fatima didn't need to bring any evidence they

[19:18]told her no this land is not yours this is for the

[19:23]muslim it's for all the muslims we need this money she said

[19:26]no this is mine okay you don't accept that it's mine it

[19:29]belonged to the prophet i'm the inheritor of the prophet they fabricated

[19:34]a hadith saying that no prophets we prophets don't leave anything as

[19:40]inheritance behind and then when she rejected his claim showing him verses

[19:46]from the quran that previous prophets did leave inheritance they told her

[19:55]okay bring us witnesses she brought the best witnesses on the face

[19:58]of the planet she brought amir al-mu'mineen she brought him as a

[20:10]witness she brought hasan and hussain as a witness she brought um

[20:13]amen whom the prophet said she's from the laid from the ladies

[20:16]of heaven she brought them as a witness what happened they rejected

[20:23]they said no as for ali he's benefiting this is his wife

[20:30]his family we don't accept him hasan hassan they're young we don't

[20:33]accept them subhanallah you don't accept people whom allah says in the

[20:37]quran allah says i purified them you say no i don't accept

[20:47]them this is a sore moment in our history brothers and sisters

[20:50]it's a sore moment this is an act of injustice that we

[20:55]must reject that happened to the prophet's family what about um amen

[20:59]no omayman is a lady we don't accept the testimony of a

[21:04]lady according to reports he narrates this you also have other sunni

[21:12]historians who have narrated a similar version finally abu bakr said okay

[21:53]you're the khalifa you're the ruler you need this money to strengthen

[21:57]your power what are you doing giving fedec so they took fedex

[22:03]and they sent after all those workers who were working for lady

[22:06]fatham and they kicked them out from the land of fedex this

[22:10]is an act of injustice my dear brothers and sisters that happened

[22:14]what can we learn from the incident of fedex number one even

[22:19]if something is taken away from you always have plan b you

[22:24]know what imam ali salaam was taken because you need money to

[22:31]fund charitable projects right and imam salaam is the symbol of charity

[22:35]after the prophet have you ever wondered what imam ali did 25

[22:38]years after the prophet until he became the khalifah one of the

[22:43]things the imam would do he would go to a city called

[22:48]the embar it's by the red sea in hijaz western hijaz by

[22:50]the red sea you can see it on the map today there's

[22:53]a city called the ambu the imam alaihissalam planted one hundred thousand

[22:59]palm trees in that area and by each tree he would pray

[23:07]to raqqa's thanking allah would do with his own blessed hands he

[23:11]planted a hundred thousand trees when these trees became mature the beta

[23:17]alaymus would use the money generated from this farmland to support charities

[23:24]we have one report that says purchased throughout his lifetime 100 000

[23:38]them this is one of his beautiful projects how did he fund

[23:41]such a big operation it wasn't cheap to buy a slave at

[23:45]the time from this farmland that amir million had this is a

[23:49]beautif beautiful lesson for us even if something is taken away from

[23:56]people shut down right if they're right it's taken away from them

[24:12]allah puts barakah in your efforts and allah indeed put barakah in

[24:19]the blessed hands of emil and number two it's okay be patient

[24:23]i know many people in our communities my dear brothers and sisters

[24:28]one of the acts of injustice that happens is people who have

[24:31]their inheritance taken away from them i see this all the time

[24:34]happening and passes away he leaves 10 kids five kids usually and

[24:42]usually right some of the sons who are more active and more

[24:48]aggressive they don't give their sister the full share or they don't

[24:50]give other siblings the full share when you tell him this is

[24:54]the law of god in the quran no i i help my

[24:58]father establish his business so what that's not the law of god

[25:01]even if you helped your dad establish his business the money has

[25:06]to go to your sister give her her share no someone kharib

[25:08]is going to take this money this is unacceptable this is unacceptable

[25:23]learn from the land of fedex and always remember fedex was the

[25:29]dowry of lady khadijah this amazing lady and i conclude with this

[25:33]statement you know how much allah loves lady khadijah one day the

[25:39]prophet when he went to masjid al-haram on the mount and he

[25:44]was you know preaching islam abu jahl and others they came to

[25:49]stone him the prophet started to bleed he ran away from them

[25:52]imam ali and they started to run after the prophet where is

[25:56]he this is this is a hadith narrated in sunni sources lady

[26:02]khadijah went to a valley looking for the prophet where is my

[26:05]beloved prophet where is muhammad and she was crying comes to the

[26:10]prophet he tells him ya rasulallah khadija is in that valley she's

[26:15]crying and because she's crying all the angels of the heavens of

[26:19]the earth are crying please call her go to khadijah show her

[26:25]where you are we can't stand see khadija crying with his greatness

[26:33]he asked the prophet i have one request from you on this

[26:38]day when you see khadijah give her my salam this is lady

[26:41]khadija let's honor her legacy we ask allah subhanahu ta'ala to open

[26:47]our hearts for his path of guidance a
