[0:00]Amen.
[0:08]Alhamdulillah.
[0:36]Brothers and sisters, may Allah tala accept all the deeds that you
[0:46]have performed or you shall perform in the holy month of Ramadan.
[0:58]In our last lecture regarding dua, we shed light on multiple passages
[1:09]in this beautiful dua that was composed and presented by im.
[1:16]Passages that truly instill hope in the heart.
[1:22]passages that teach us a believer's love for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[1:29]should be unconditional and phenomenal love.
[1:34]Love that is constant.
[1:35]For we hear the imam in dua saying to Allah, if you
[1:49]place me in hellfire, oh Allah, on the day of judgment, then
[1:56]I will inform the inhabitants of hellfire that I love you.
[2:00]And we shed light as well on another passage where the Imam
[2:06]Alisam teaches us not to lose hope in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[2:09]not to lose hope in attaining Allah's mercy or forgiveness even if
[2:15]Allah ta'ala commands the human being to enter hellfire on the day
[2:22]of judgment or he commands his angels or vice jam to place
[2:27]that disobedient slave in jahannam why because Allah tala is the all
[2:33]merciful even after sentencing someone to jahanam perhaps Allahel will at some
[2:43]point bestow mercy upon him, forgive him and lead him back into
[2:48]heaven.
[2:49]Allah tala is he is the loving God who showers his servants
[2:58]with blessings.
[3:00]Hence if someone actually paid attention to the treatment that Allah ta'ala
[3:06]shows the human being and paid attention to the amount of blessings
[3:10]the abundant amount of blessings that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bestows upon
[3:17]each and every one of us he will fall in love with
[3:19]Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala and that love obviously will lead him or should
[3:27]lead him to God's obedience at the end of the day True
[3:30]love will lead a person to obeying the one whom he loves.
[3:37]The Imat expresses his love to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in dua
[3:45]through various forms of expression.
[3:52]But as he's doing so the imatam gives us what?
[3:58]vital lessons pertaining to beliefs or practices or morals or other topics.
[4:03]At the end of the day, the Imam is an imam and
[4:07]every word that is said by the Imam, every action that is
[4:10]done by the Imam brings a lesson.
[4:16]Every word said by the im and every action performed by the
[4:20]imam presents a lesson to mankind.
[4:26]the lesson that benefits them in one way or another.
[4:29]He says in dua as we move to another passage my master
[4:41]lives in fact my heart lived through your remembrance.
[4:47]This is a passage that once again manifests the love that Imad
[4:56]has for Allah.
[4:56]But at the same time, it's a passage that teaches us a
[5:03]vital lesson.
[5:02]My friends, my brothers and sisters, will grant a person spiritual life.
[5:09]Is what?
[5:11]Remembering Allah.
[5:13]You can remember allahel verbally by saying for example subhan Allah alhamdulillah
[5:19]and similar words.
[5:20]You can remember Allah ta'ala through your heart through your mind or
[5:28]spirit by being mindful of Allah and remembering his traits.
[5:32]You can remember allahel when you're tested through halal and haram and
[5:36]you remember the command of Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[5:41]All of these are what?
[5:41]Forms of forms of God's remembrance.
[5:45]The imam says which means that the soul of the human being
[5:50]will continue to live so long that the human being remembers his
[5:57]lord.
[5:58]The remedy of allahel is the fuel that we need to keep
[6:07]the flame of belief ignited in our hearts.
[6:08]Every flame or fire is need of what?
[6:14]Is in need of fuel.
[6:14]Your belief is in need of fuel or say the flame of
[6:18]your belief is in need of fuel.
[6:19]And that fuel is what subhanahala it keeps a person's belief alive.
[6:29]And when a person's belief is alive, his heart meaning his soul
[6:34]will remain alive.
[6:34]Hence allahel tells us in the Quran that the message of does
[6:41]what?
[6:42]It revives the human being or say gives the human being life.
[6:48]Allah says subhanahu wa ta'ala in the holy Quran verse 24 he
[7:05]says you who believe answer the call of Allah and his messenger
[7:15]when when He calls you to accept that which will give you
[7:23]life.
[7:24]Now when you go into the world of you realize that presented
[7:29]various interpretations regarding the word which means what is Allah talking about
[7:36]when he says when the prophet when the messenger calls you to
[7:41]that which gives you life.
[7:42]What is the Quran talking about?
[7:46]We have multiple interpretations and we realize that all of these interpretations
[7:52]do not contradict one another and that turns these interpretations go hand
[8:00]in hand.
[7:58]One interpretation says the word refers to Quran and religious knowledge.
[8:08]The Quran is a book of life, a book that will truly
[8:12]turn the human being into an actual human being.
[8:16]There are people who look like humans.
[8:19]You look at their physical forms, you see a human being, but
[8:26]in reality, they are animals in disguise or they are devils in
[8:30]disguise.
[8:31]The true human being is the one who submits to his lord
[8:34]subhanahu wa ta'ala and beautifies himself with what?
[8:39]With good morals.
[8:39]Beautifies himself with good morals and removes vices and defects from his
[8:45]own character.
[8:47]When we find a person for example who looks like a human,
[8:50]we say he's a son of Adam.
[8:53]But that person is vicious.
[8:57]He has no morals.
[8:57]He has absolutely no mercy towards anyone.
[9:01]That person is not a human being.
[9:03]He looks like a human asam.
[9:08]The physical appearance is that of the human being.
[9:11]But the is what?
[9:14]The heart is what?
[9:16]But the heart, the soul of that individual is the soul of
[9:21]an animal or say the soul of a devil.
[9:26]And Quran changes the hearts.
[9:27]It has the power to do what?
[9:30]To change the human being.
[9:31]As I Ali says, it will change.
[9:35]Even the disbeliever.
[9:35]The disbeliever, the hypocrite, the polytheist will turn into an into a
[9:45]good human being while reading the Quran and obviously answering the call
[9:51]of Quran.
[9:50]Hence himself saysam that al Quran is what it is the spring
[9:59]of the hearts meaning gives life to the heart the soul of
[10:04]the human being.
[10:03]So one says when the ayah says the word refers to and
[10:12]religious knowledge a second the second interpretation says the word refers to
[10:16]heaven heaven.
[10:19]Why?
[10:21]Because ultimately when the human being enters heaven, he will be granted
[10:27]eternal life and he will dwell in eternal mercy and happiness.
[10:33]Now the question is what leads to heaven?
[10:36]The path of Allah the path of the message of Allaham.
[10:42]So in order to enter heaven I must accept the message of
[10:49]a third interpretation which is supported by a hadith in fact multiple
[11:01]narrations from our imams says the word refers to believing in the
[11:09]guardianship and authority of in the author cites in you'll find a
[11:30]tradition by by a man called he says I asked about the
[11:46]following verse.
[11:52]He asked him about the verse that we are currently talking about.
[11:57]When Allah tells us, "Oh you who believe, answer the call of
[12:00]Allah and the messenger when he calls you to towards that which
[12:08]will give you life." He said, He said this verse descended as
[12:20]it was talking about believing in the guardianship and authority of and
[12:26]that makes perfect sense because when you believe in the guardianship and
[12:30]authority of what will happen you will adhere to the essential Islam
[12:40]the real Islam that wasallam presented to mankind.
[12:48]But when you exclude from Islam, when you take out of Islam,
[12:55]you take out of Islam, then you will not be following the
[13:00]real Islam, the essential Islam that presented.
[13:05]On top of that, little by little, the true teachings of Islam
[13:12]will be changed.
[13:13]And I'll give you a very clear example in this regard.
[13:19]You find Muslims when you look in Islamic history.
[13:20]You look into Islamic history or you look at you know the
[13:24]state of the Muslim today.
[13:24]You find Muslims.
[13:27]We're talking about Muslims not non-Muslims.
[13:28]Muslims who will tell you Allah tala has a physical form.
[13:32]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala descends on the evil Friday on a lumping
[13:36]donkey and he says is there anyone who will seek forgiveness?
[13:41]Who said this?
[13:44]someone who was called a Muslim.
[13:46]Why did he say it?
[13:47]Because he distanced himself and or others from Ali from Al Hassan
[13:55]Al Hussein and the rest of the of the members of B.
[14:01]When you distance yourself, when you detach from you will reach such
[14:07]conclusions and such outcomes.
[14:07]But when you adhere to bed will lead you to your lord.
[14:16]They will guide you and I they will guide everyone to the
[14:19]real god in existence.
[14:22]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[14:23]That god who is beyond imagination.
[14:26]Look at howatam describe Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[14:30]You'll find that they give him the flawless description.
[14:35]Take a look for example at the word of when she says
[14:45]about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he is the one that the eyes
[14:55]cannot see the eyes cannot look at Allah or see Allah why
[15:00]not because he's hiding somewhere in outer space rather because he's not
[15:06]physically He's not limited subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[15:07]And so the eyes cannot gaze at the creator.
[15:10]They can gaze at the signs of Allah.
[15:19]Meaning our tongues are unable to truly describe Allah.
[15:26]One might say, "Oh lady of light," but you're describing him, right?
[15:31]She's describing him.
[15:34]Subhanah wa ta'ala.
[15:34]Sheat wasam is describing Allah.
[15:36]How can she say she's saying this to tell you and I
[15:47]that whatever description we give to Allahawel that description will be inferior
[15:54]to his reality.
[15:56]Whatever description we give to God is inferior to who he truly
[16:03]is.
[16:04]Hence we're told in fact we're taught by the prophet and to
[16:10]do continuously Allahbarb he's greater than what means Allah is greater greater
[16:23]than what im says he is greater than to be described so
[16:27]whatever description you give to allahel know that your description is inferior
[16:33]to his reality.
[16:36]Yes, believing in the of will make a person will keep a
[16:44]person attached to the essential Islam that was taught by and so
[16:53]after hearing these interpretations regarding the word regarding the word in the
[17:02]verse We understand that ultimately the message of Islam, the message of
[17:13]leads the human being to what?
[17:19]To spiritual life.
[17:19]When a person accepts the message of Allah sallallahu alaihi believes in
[17:25]it and implements it, that person's soul will be alive.
[17:33]Whereas when one rejects the message of Sai wasallam his soul will
[17:40]buy.
[17:38]Secondly we understand that the message of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam will
[17:44]lead humanity to various forms of life not only spiritual life.
[17:52]It will lead humanity if humanity accepts the message of Allah sallallahu
[17:58]alaihi wasallam to life in various fields.
[18:04]Political life, economical life, social life in general.
[18:07]People will be led to a good life and a life of
[18:19]prosperity.
[18:17]The problem is what people choose to reject the message of Allah
[18:25]and the message of when you look at our circumstances today or
[18:32]you look at the past you find that many people do not
[18:37]want or did not want the path of truth.
[18:41]Although it is the path which will lead them where which will
[18:44]lead them to salvation.
[18:46]It is the path that will lead them to a good type
[18:48]of life.
[18:51]A life of prosperity, comfort and happiness.
[18:56]Look at what Quraysh did when began proping the message.
[19:05]How they exerted much effort to fight and to hurt him.
[19:11]Although he was calling them towards what?
[19:14]Towards what they need.
[19:14]He was the the compassionate doctor who is bringing people the medicine
[19:20]they need.
[19:22]Imam Aliam has a beautiful word and all these words are beautiful
[19:25]where he describes saying he is the doctor that moves from one
[19:32]place to another going to the sick patients.
[19:35]Usually the sick patient comes to the doctor right?
[19:39]The prophet is that doctor who would go to the people sallallahu
[19:42]alaihi wasallam.
[19:43]He would go to the sick patients in order to to heal
[19:46]them.
[19:47]Even then Quraysh refused to accept his message and on top of
[19:55]that they made sure to instill as much pain as they could
[19:58]in the heart of Allah sallallam.
[20:01]I'll conclude the lecture before we go to the Arabic lecture with
[20:08]one point.
[20:06]One of the stances, one of the broad stances that they took
[20:16]against Sai wasallam was boycotting his wife Khadijaham.
[20:21]Say Khadijah who was the first lady who announced her Islam.
[20:27]She was the one of the greatest female supporters of Sallallahu Alaihi
[20:36]Wasallam.
[20:34]As a result, she had to pay the price.
[20:38]The narration of says what?
[20:43]It says the women of Quraysh boycotted.
[20:46]Hence, they would not visit her and they would not salute her
[20:52]with salam and they would not allow any lady to enter upon
[20:54]her.
[20:56]Now, you know, talking about this is quite simple or easy.
[21:00]But living it is a different story.
[21:03]When your society boycots you and no one is willing to deal
[21:07]with you, no one is willing to say hello oralamlaykum, no one
[21:13]is willing to visit you.
[21:17]That's hard.
[21:14]That's difficult.
[21:18]Say that such that when it was time for her to give
[21:21]birth to the lady of light, she sent the women of Quray
[21:31]a message telling them come and help me in my delivery.
[21:34]And so they refused.
[21:38]They refused.
[21:37]They refused to help her.
[21:41]And they refused to allow any lady like for example to enter
[21:46]uponad.
[21:49]And so Allah tala compensated khadisha.
[21:52]You see when someone when someone remembers Allah when a person remembers
[22:00]Allah when a person follows the path of Allah Allah will not
[22:04]abandon him.
[22:06]Allah will help him, aid him, support him and compensate him.
[22:10]Is one of the greatest believers in existence.
[22:14]Allah sees that she's going through a lot of difficulty.
[22:19]So Allah tala compensates her.
[22:22]Before the delivery, a special someone starts to speak to Khadijah.
[22:27]Who's that someone?
[22:30]The lady of light.
[22:31]When a Fatima speaks to her as she's inside her own mother
[22:37]enters upon Khadijah one day and hears Khadijah talking to someone but
[22:42]apparently no one is there and so he tells Khadijaham who are
[22:45]you speaking with and she tells him that the Janine the fus
[22:51]that is inside of me speaks to me and it keeps me
[22:53]company Z would speak to Khadijah this was one of her miracles
[22:59]she would speak to Khadijah when she was inside of Khadijah and
[23:04]she would help her remain patient.
[23:07]And so the prophet gave Khadijah the great news that Allah will
[23:13]bless them with a daughter and that this daughter will be pure
[23:18]and blessed that the offspring of Allah will come from Zah and
[23:23]from her from her offspring there will be imams.
[23:28]Imams who will be the califfs of Allah on earth after us.
[23:39]>> On the other hand when it was time for her to
[23:46]deliver Allah as you may know sent her four women who were
[23:50]part of the greatest women created by God.
[23:56]S the wife of Ibraim and Kam the sister of Musa Salami.
[24:02]There's a lesson here for all of us.
[24:04]When you remember Allah and you adhere to the message of Allah
[24:11]subhana wa ta'ala, Allah tala will not abandon you.
[24:13]Tomorrow inshallah will continue with dua.
[24:16]Alhamdulillah.
