[1:46]death is a discussion that is fundamental to our identity as sh

[1:50]for for us there is a completely different different definition of death

[1:56]as opposed to someone who has a materialistic worldview so it's very

[2:01]important for us especially on this night I F tonight to discuss

[2:05]this because it's very important that we listen to those who are

[2:13]in we listen to the answers of the Y of Hussein husin

[2:16]to hear how they responded when im Hussein called them to death

[2:24]and how the family of abdah Hussein had responded to his call

[2:28]when he told them on that night on that tomorrow that they

[2:33]will be killed so it's very fundamental that we discuss these points

[2:43]ofus and the one who is Muslim as opposed to someone who

[4:16]this is a better house for them and do you not think

[4:22]do you not understand what Allah subhana waala says so whenever we

[4:36]him and to him he return we do not say that death

[5:21]that happiness so for me to get to that next stage into

[5:26]my spiritual Perfection I need to seek that death so after death

[5:30]arrives I accept with open arms and for a Shahid it's even

[5:44]sweeter than them than even us Allah subhana waala says in the

[5:53]Quran Allah subhana tala says do not count those who have been

[6:00]killed in the way of Allah sub wa ta'ala is dead in

[6:03]fact they are alive and they are provided from Allah subhana waala

[6:10]they receive their risk from Allah subhana wa tala so he says

[6:14]if man will see how speedily his death is coming towards him

[6:18]he will abhor Ambitions and he will give up admiring this world

[6:22]sometimes we are not aware of death sometimes we completely consider our

[6:27]death something that's far away from us and here I bring a

[6:31]story this is a story that sometimes I teach the children that

[6:34]gives us a very complete understanding of how death is viewed there

[6:39]is a man he runs through a jungle he's running through a

[6:45]jungle and a lion is chasing him he when this lion is

[6:48]chasing towards him he jumps into a well he hangs on by

[6:53]the Rope of the well and while he's hanging on by the

[6:57]Rope of the well he sees that under him there is a

[6:59]snake the snake it opens its mouth and it's opens its mouth

[7:03]and it's ready to eat this man as soon as he falls

[7:08]from that rope so the man says what do I do I'm

[7:09]stuck with this rope he sees two rats a white rat and

[7:14]a black rat he start nibbling at this rope so this rope

[7:17]is slowly slowly being torn apart and this man is falling to

[7:23]his death to the snake the man is afraid at that moment

[7:25]he is completely afraid of what's going to happen to him in

[7:31]that moment he sees honey there's honey on the sides of this

[7:33]well when he sees that honey on that well he starts to

[7:39]that honey he starts to taste that honey and in a in

[7:43]a moment once he starts to taste it he cannot stop he

[7:45]starts to taste it and taste it until the moment that those

[7:50]two rats have nibbled that rope and he falls to the mouth

[7:59]of death that is continuous chasing us and that snake who has

[8:58]been created to perish but to remain forever ever you are simply

[9:01]transferring from one home to another home so just like a transfer

[9:06]from one home to another home it's a bridge we are slowly

[9:11]using that bridge and we're transferring to another world in our goal

[9:17]for Spiritual Perfection and who is it that builds a house on

[9:20]a bridge none of us it's that place that I want to

[9:26]rest and that place that is going to be the final Abode

[9:32]and that's why Allah subh he says Allah subhana wa taala has

[9:41]created life and he's created death to test you for which of

[9:44]you are the best in character so death is that reminder for

[9:47]inside it's that reminder that Allah subhana wa tala says that I've

[9:55]created life and I've created death to test you but sometimes we

[9:58]think that death is so far away from us there was once

[10:04]a man who made a Dua to Allah subhana tala and he

[10:06]said to Allah yaah Allah before my death arrives please give me

[10:13]signs please show me that I'm going to die soon so I'm

[10:17]aware about this day so years pass and years pass and years

[10:24]pass and in the moments when he's 50 or 60 the angel

[10:26]of death Ares the and he told him he tells him your

[10:32]time has arrived the man says but I've asked Allah subhana wa

[10:34]tala to tell me when my time arrives Allah subhana did not

[10:39]give me any warning towards my death the angel says no Allah

[10:43]subhana tala gave you many warnings when your father died Allah subhana

[10:48]tal gave you warning he warned you of your time when your

[10:54]friends died when your cousins your uncles had died this was a

[10:57]warning that Allah subhana wa tala had given you when your beard

[11:02]had turned gray it had turned white and your hairs turned way

[11:05]gray and you started getting wrinkles Allah warned you of your death

[11:09]so death is something that we have to be completely aware about

[11:15]we see some people for example that during that time in which

[11:18]they were very close to death Allah subhana wa tala even says

[11:23]in the Quran that those people who are on a boat they

[11:25]seek Allah subhana wa tala that that we talked about and we

[11:30]disc discussed about on our first night is that the strongest in

[11:34]that moment they are afraid of Allah subhana waala and they submit

[11:38]to Allah but when they seek land and they receive lands and

[11:41]they start to walk they completely are oblivious they forget about Allah

[11:45]subhana tala so we need to make sure that we are reminded

[11:50]about it as the lovers ofin this night the is a reminder

[11:57]for us and a reminder to those who had fought along alongside

[12:01]Hussein when you listen to their stories why do we fear death

[12:05]there are three fundamental reasons why someone may fear death one because

[12:12]he does not have the correct insight to death he's not aware

[12:17]about death alhamdulillah we have that Insight Allah subhana wa tala has

[12:21]told us about what's going to happen the second fundamental reason that

[12:24]someone would be afraid of death is that they're completely unfamiliar with

[12:28]it it's a New Path they're very very comfortable in their Walled

[12:32]Garden to this we say that that Garden is not your final

[12:38]Abode that Garden is your Bridge towards the next World and a

[12:41]third fundamental reason is a lack of preparation some of us we're

[12:49]completely unprepared for thata we're completely unprepared for that time that we're

[12:52]going to pass he says the first degree of faith is one

[12:58]who among every sin he becomes restless and whom every good doing

[13:05]good deed it gladdens him he is indeed a Believer we need

[13:08]to make sure we watch our as I discuss every single thing

[14:39]for my sins I'll ask Allah subhana wa taala to forgive me

[14:45]I'll go to Haj then and I'll be a completely new person

[14:48]what if that hjj never arrives what if that day never arrives

[14:55]what if tomorrow you were to pass away what if you were

[14:58]to be left completely by Allah subhana when that angel of death

[15:02]arrives we should not be in a state where we're completely unprepared

[15:06]we have to prepare our hearts for that moment when Allah subhana

[15:11]wa tala calls us back to him and to him we return

[15:22]learn from how respon todah husin about abdah husin am on the

[17:37]lives with our wealth and with our children we will fight by

[17:42]your side until we enter the place you shall enter may Allah

[17:45]make life abominable for us after your death and then he responds

[17:51]to others he has the others companions in which he starts to

[17:54]ask him inshallah we hear about the companions with your loudest of

[17:59]salawats he comes to Muslim and Muslim he said he stands and

[18:12]he says if we leave you alone what excuse should be give

[18:17]to Allah for not fulfilling your rights on us by Allah I

[18:20]will fight till I break my spear in their chests I will

[18:24]strike them with my sword as long as the hilt remains in

[18:28]my hand I will not leave you if you have no weapon

[18:29]to fight with them I will throw stones with at in your

[18:35]defense until the day I die he goes to abdah how does

[18:39]he respond by Allah we will not leave you until Allah knows

[18:42]that we have preserved you through you the company of the holy

[18:44]prophet in his absence by Allah if I knew that I would

[18:48]be killed and I knew I would be revived and then burnt

[18:53]alive and shattered and this would happen to me 70 times I

[18:56]would still not leave you until I meet my death fighting on

[19:01]your behalf why should I not do so when it is only

[19:02]just a matter of getting killed once then this is an everlasting

[19:07]honor and then he responds by Allah I wish I would be

[19:13]killed and revived again and killed until I get killed 70 time

[19:19]a thousand times so that Allah can overt death from you and

[19:22]the Youth of your household these are the groups thatd these were

[19:30]the groups that abdin had with him when we ask ourselves can

[19:34]I be truly part of the 313 of IM when he arrives

[19:39]am I truly prepared are you able to be part of those

[19:44]72 are you able to answer in such a manner in which

[20:29]ask you to bring us near to the IM of our time

[20:32]and make us one of his loyal Companions and Ya Allah we

[20:36]ask you to keep us away from the Shadow and bring us

[20:37]towards the Ya Allah we ask you to make our lives the

[20:43]lives of muhamad and Al Muhammad and make our deaths the deaths

[20:45]of Muhammad and Ali Muhammad and Ya Allah we ask you to

[20:50]guide us to the straight path and Ya Allah we ask you

[20:53]do not take us from this world unless you have forgiven us

[20:56]and Ya Allah grant us the intercession of husin on the day

[21:01]of judgment [Music] [Music] in [Music]
