[34:11]B hash the heroes ofal so inshallah uh today we'll have M

[34:15]Abbas giving a talk titled from the Ark of Salvation Hussein Alam

[34:21]to the Ark of Salvation and the the topic will continue this

[34:28]Thursday uh and into next Thursday inshallah so please do attend this

[34:33]week and next week for the entire series just before we invite

[34:39]the she up just a quick uh reminder we have the the

[34:42]Mahi course which is running this Saturday today is the final chance

[35:31]a loud Muhammad [Music] Muhammad muh alhamdulilla muhamad greetings and felicitations upon

[37:31]the birth of Imam Hussein alai Salam Abul F Abbas and Imam

[37:34]Saad alisam and all the Victorious ones of carala to the Imam

[37:40]of our time and to all of you my dear brothers and

[37:43]sisters may Allah subh tala accept your presence we are really thankful

[37:48]to be in such a gathering and these gatherings are extremely important

[37:59]uh however we may see a deterioration or um bit of lack

[38:06]of attendance from our youth from our community however the only way

[38:13]that we have survived uh time and time again is because of

[38:21]these gatherings and that's what we find in the teachings of our

[38:26]Scholars of akl say Al Kazi one of the prominent master in

[38:34]mysticism he says that Weekly Gathering of M of Imam Hussein alisam

[38:44]is necessary for a spiritual wafer even if it be that you

[38:53]have only yourself and maybe your family member all should sit together

[39:02]and do the zik of the Mas of IM Hussein Alam so

[39:08]therefore the Hussein and the centers that we have they facilitate that

[39:15]and they allow us to have this Gathering our participation perhaps may

[39:27]not be to 100% sincerity or 100% of and focus towards the

[39:33]whole of Da or towards the whole of lecture or zarat but

[39:40]that little T and focus and our participation itself counts a lot

[39:47]just being here counts a lot these children running and enjoying having

[39:54]fun counts a lot and perhaps this enjoyment of theirs itself could

[40:03]be one of the reasons of acceptance of our duas so therefore

[40:08]Community Brotherhood Sisterhood being together is far better and more effective than

[40:17]I myself being on my own and supplicating and connecting myself to

[40:24]Allah subhana wa ta'ala because we never know that the person who

[40:29]is sitting next to me and his relationship with Allah subhana wa

[40:35]ta'ala that's why the fourth Imam says that Allah have hidden three

[40:40]things in three things the fourth Imam as his V is in

[40:42]these days or today as well nice to remember him four things

[40:48]are hidden in four things the acceptance of Dua is hidden in

[40:56]Dua itself don't look at whether the Dua be a big Dua

[41:01]or a small Dua because the acceptance of Dua is in Dua

[41:04]the aab of Allah is in a sin don't look at oh

[41:10]this is just a misdemenor this is just a small sin you

[41:15]know it's not really killing somebody or backbiting or it's just I'm

[41:20]just making fun of a moment or something like that the aab

[41:22]of Allah is hidden in sin regardless of that sin be a

[41:26]bigger sin or a small sin the aah of Allah the Saints

[41:30]of Allah are hidden among men you know aah they don't come

[41:36]in packaging you know there's no special packaging for aah or a

[41:40]brand you know for aah they are hidden amongst men so therefore

[41:43]respect each and every person because you don't know which one is

[41:50]a Allah so therefore we are completely unaware of the amount and

[41:54]the type and the intensity of the the connection that the brother

[41:59]sitting next to me have with Allah subhana wa ta'ala or the

[42:03]sister sitting next to me have with Allah subhana ta'ala so this

[42:10]and their connection perhaps could be the reason for me to be

[42:17]blessed for my duas to be accepted so it's very important to

[42:20]be part of community building part of the Brotherhood and Sisterhood that

[42:27]we have and alhamdulillah we have the to the management the brothers

[42:31]and sisters they are working behind the scene to make this possible

[42:36]for the success of all our husse Masid and especially the brothers

[42:41]who are working behind the scene for these things to happen for

[42:46]these gatherings to happen for their reward for them and their recite

[42:51]one loud Muhammad Muhammad there are only two imams who've been given

[43:00]the title as saf the Ark of Salvation among all imams nevertheless

[43:08]all imams are Ark of Salvation but when we look at the

[43:16]Hadith literature we find that Imam Hussein Alam and Imam m alisam

[43:21]is considered to be the Ark of Salvation in this Hadith which

[43:25]I recited which is from the prophet which says that in Al

[43:29]Hussein you know certainly Hussein is the torch of guidance and the

[43:32]Ark of Salvation that cat or that sort of quality or you

[43:39]know that title been given to the Imam now title giving as

[43:47]well is quite interesting uh name giving title giving it's uh it's

[43:52]based on the personality of the person peculiarly to those who are

[43:57]closer to Nature if you look at natives you know the way

[44:04]they give names to people or the shamans for example or even

[44:07]in other you know traditions we find that you know the the

[44:14]reason for the names to be given is based upon the quality

[44:16]and the personality of the person the titles of the masam is

[44:23]based on that as well right when you look at that person

[44:25]or his cousin because he was very you know forbearing the seventh

[44:29]Imam for instance not that you know Imam jaad wasn't forbearing Jawad

[44:35]is the one who is you know uh you know give for

[44:38]example is very generous for example all imams were generous but Imam

[44:43]jaad is known to be you know for example uh this is

[44:48]because what is reflected from them based on that you know people

[44:54]are wise indiv uals tend to give that name right uh that's

[45:01]why we find you know among the natives you have you know

[45:06]wounded bear they call it for example the dances with wolf as

[45:12]we have the most famous one that uh we all know perhaps

[45:14]but all of these names is based upon the personality of the

[45:21]person so that when you call that name and when that person

[45:23]comes in to a gathering oh the wounded bear is here then

[45:27]they would say that oh this man have been hurt and he

[45:31]lost his family or something may have happened and this will allow

[45:35]other peoples to treat this person in a different way right uh

[45:40]so the same applies and this is the same tradition that we

[45:47]find among the the Arabs as well the nomads you know because

[45:50]they were the similar sort of substance as the natives right and

[45:54]uh they also have these all names or titles been given to

[45:59]you know to to the different individuals right positive or negative even

[46:03]you know Abu jahal for example you know uh so these are

[46:09]all based upon the personality of that person now when it comes

[46:12]to saf you have the similar uh reality to it right why

[46:20]IM Hussein Alam is known as the saf and then why the

[46:25]12th IM right now when we look at you know and also

[46:29]one thing which uh the title would have become too too big

[46:35]or too you know too much I didn't include that the bridge

[46:38]from one saf to the other saf Imam Hussein is saf as

[46:45]we said from the saf of IM Hussein to sa which is

[46:51]IM Zan so what's the link and what's the bridge to come

[46:55]from this sa of of Hussein and enter the safat of the

[47:02]12th Imam that bridge is Abul F Abbas you know if somebody

[47:07]wants to travel from this safad which is Hussein and to the

[47:10]safad of the 12th IM and that link to understand that is

[47:15]no one but Abul right um because it is through him we

[47:22]will be able to understand have that mod of what safat is

[47:29]and what safat is all about you know through the personality of

[47:33]Abul F right and we'll talk a little bit about that in

[47:36]in a in in a in a in a in a moment

[47:39]now when we look at Imam Hussein alisam and him being saf

[47:46]and and the commonality of these two saf and there are only

[47:51]two imams who have done you know we are not we are

[47:53]not going to really compare uh you know the life of Imam

[47:56]Hussein and the 12th Imam however there's so much of commonality and

[48:00]alhamdulillah the scholars have talked and discussed a lot about about this

[48:04]topic right H but we see for example in regards to the

[48:11]you know is the Imam Hussein have done theam and the 12th

[48:14]IM will do theam you know IM Ali Alam was forced to

[48:19]accept the I mean he never did as such right he was

[48:26]forced but Imam Hussein he did right and he did for what

[48:34]for reforming you know right and this must allow us to reflect

[48:47]that the deterioration the limitation and the state of the community of

[48:54]the Muslim umah have reached at the time of Imam Hussein Alam

[48:58]and he didam similar analogy we can strike that for theam of

[49:06]the 12th Imam the qualities and the state of the Muslim um

[49:12]will be pretty much the same and then Imam Hussein didam and

[49:15]after which you know the 12th Imam same in regards to the

[49:22]helpers and supporters of the of Imam Hussein and the 12th Imam

[49:27]so those who want to be in support and help the 12th

[49:34]Imam their qualities their understanding and M that's why we said Abul

[49:40]f is the bridge must be like the marifat and qualities of

[49:45]the assab of IM Hussein Alam somebody who wants to be the

[49:50]supporter of the 12th IM that's saf and want to be in

[49:56]that saf you know they should be very much similar to the

[49:59]supporters of Imam Hussein Alam so it's a that's why we say

[50:04]oh 313 we say oh 313 you know just 313 but we

[50:10]are thousands and thousands aren't we you know millions of of you

[50:14]know supporters of IM Mahi we say but what only there's no

[50:22]313 these 313 should be like you know as the say that

[50:27]Hussein you know apparently in regards to John has been mentioned that

[50:31]whether he was there he wasn't but in the case of that

[50:34]if we be killed 70 times and burnt and brought back to

[50:38]life again we will sacrifice our life for Imam Hussein Alam right

[50:43]so that sort of quality should be in the asab of the

[50:46]12th Imam as well now I would like to share uh of

[50:54]Imam Hussein am and perhaps link that to that very saf why

[51:01]IM Hussein Alam is oh people and this is before he is

[51:10]leaving Medina he's he gives this sermon so oh cre oh people

[51:19]why Allah created the creation so he's directly pointing out to the

[51:30]very important reality the purpose of creation that we all are after

[51:39]to understand and creation itself is is a natural uh outcome of

[51:44]existence such as God it is very natural right because good cannot

[51:52]be stopped cannot be stopped right if you stand near an ocean

[51:55]the waves will come nobody will stop the waves and every wave

[51:59]that come is a different you know texture color form sound Beauty

[52:06]so Allah is and he's always creating that cannot be stopped it's

[52:09]natural right and on the contrary if it's like if a if

[52:18]if if there is a doctor or if there is uh a

[52:23]person who is capable of I don't know uh Plumbing or doing

[52:31]something right in a Masjid or some place and he does not

[52:36]extend that help that person would be considered as you know not

[52:41]a good person not a you know he has that ability to

[52:46]do so but he's not doing it you know so the same

[52:48]way Allah he's has that power he's the Creator he has all

[52:53]good and if he doesn't create that will be a bit you

[53:00]know strange right so here why Allah created the creation the purpose

[53:10]of creation is knowing is mar his understanding that's why naturally our

[53:15]F wants to know even the small little children if you look

[53:21]at it if you kind of joke with them and hide something

[53:22]like this you know they really want to know right you know

[53:26]this is something in there it's in the nature of man you

[53:28]know in the nature of children it's in the fat of ours

[53:31]that we want to know right so the purpose of the whole

[53:39]this creation is so that that people that creation have the of

[53:45]Allah tala and as Allah is hidden and always be will be

[53:49]hidden so this journey of knowing him will be an eternal Journey

[53:52]you know it's will be always in this journey of knowing whether

[53:58]we live or we die whether we be in bar or in

[54:02]Hereafter and when you know him when you recognize him is right

[54:11]and which kind of if we put the Hadith of the six

[54:16]Imam where it says you know you know I created you know

[54:24]Jin and men in order that they worship me the criteria of

[54:28]worship for it to be called worship is marifat you know being

[54:35]a polytheist for example and going to the temple and praying is

[54:41]also worship as in you know in a conventional sense but is

[54:45]that really a worship not because there is no marifat there it

[54:50]may have the sh the form of worship but if it does

[54:54]not have the marifat and even leave aside polytheist praying you know

[54:59]wow onto those who pray the Quran says right you know so

[55:07]it just may have that form but if a person who is

[55:13]praying and have the of Allah Allah will not say wow onto

[55:15]it so the criteria of worship to be called worship is of

[55:24]Allah is understanding of Allah you know and there's nothing other than

[55:31]that and what will happen after that a person when he has

[55:46]that marifat and naturally the reaction of this Marat when the sun

[55:50]will rise the day will come it's natural once a person have

[55:53]that there's nothing but that person will do what is what does

[56:00]will bring about the will bring about you know we are fak

[56:04]you know the same way as number three is odd nothing but

[56:09]odd this our fak is our essential reality we have existential fak

[56:17]we you know we have is very natural that's why it says

[56:24]in know we recite you know what is bukah bukah is nothing

[56:32]but manifestation of our when a person cries when a baby cries

[56:35]because it's showing that f it needs something as soon as a

[56:40]child is born if it doesn't cry it's pronounced death dead if

[56:45]it cries it's it's alive so the birth of a human being

[56:51]of an insan is crying is Dua is book and the death

[56:58]of a human being is na so it's from Dua to while

[57:03]he's dying he's Whispering all his life is that so that the

[57:10]essential reality of ours when we recognize that that's whatat is knowing

[57:15]that Allah is everything and I'm nothing when I know that when

[57:21]I have thatat of Allah that he's everything and I'm nothing right

[57:25]what will I do I do IAT there will be nothing other

[57:31]than that and then this IAT will bring about what it will

[57:33]make me self-sufficient I will not worship nothing but him because man

[57:43]naturally worships the same way as man naturally wants to know he

[57:47]worship either he will worship you know that's why it also comes

[57:53]in common terms as well you know I'm religiously going to the

[57:56]gym that word of being religiously going you know it's like worshiping

[58:00]you know people worship celebrities for example when they follow too much

[58:05]right so this worship is also in our fat is also in

[58:10]our nature either we will worship you know the dun or you

[58:16]know things that we go after right or we'll worship Allah so

[58:22]if there ISAT is I and if there is that ibat then

[58:26]we will be self sufficient will be you know right we will

[58:33]not worship no one else but him oh you know son of

[58:47]the Prophet what is really of Allah he mentioned it now there's

[58:50]a person who is asking more you know what is really of

[58:55]Allah you know can you really explain me in in detail then

[58:59]he said then he says the of Allah subhana tala is actually

[59:09]the of the IM of the time saf Imam Hussein and to

[59:17]the saf of our 12th Im so if we have the of

[59:22]the IM of the time you know a person who dies without

[59:24]knowing the IM of the time he died at death of Jah

[59:31]he doesn't know Allah so that connection is there too right so

[59:35]Theif of Allah subhana tala is actually Theif of thatat is actually

[59:42]theat of what iMat is right because we will unable to comprehend

[59:50]and have the understanding of you know who Allah subhana tala is

[59:58]the knowledge of Allah tala will not you know subh as the

[60:03]Quran itself says Glory you know be to Allah subh tala which

[60:08]will not we will not be able to depict have any understanding

[60:12]except you know there's always this those who are those who are

[60:17]purified ones they will be able to teach us you know and

[60:24]provide us with the understanding and of Allah tala so in this

[60:31]Hadith what is being introduced is that toed and that's what Imam

[60:37]Hussein Alam sacrificed his life for and toed is the sa now

[60:45]when we look at for example of the IM it means that

[60:51]who is an Imam what is his position what is his reality

[60:56]what is his you know existential reality of the IM because if

[61:02]we understand his existential reality then we'll be able to understand and

[61:07]have the M of Allah it's linked it's very important and peculiarly

[61:13]when it comes to you know us the school of there are

[61:22]certain mystical esoteric phenomenas that are that is connected to our belief

[61:29]system and these phenomenas the understanding of these esoteric realities is a

[61:37]must and as a matter of fact every religion have mysterious and

[61:47]esoteric side to it whether that be Hinduism DSM Buddhism you know

[61:52]Christianity Judaism they do have and the beauty of she you know

[62:07]Islam is that you find amazing esoteric principles for example as it's

[62:14]we are you know is a saf as we are celebrating the

[62:16]birth of Imam Hussein Alam on the third of shaan there is

[62:22]a Dua from the 11th IM now 11th Imam is the last

[62:28]Imam in the sense that people going to meet speak and see

[62:33]then there is minor occultation and major occultation so now the 11th

[62:40]Imam is responsible of transferring all that is required or that is

[62:47]in the safat to the to the followers who's going to be

[62:53]waiting till the another safat to arrive and that's why he says

[63:04]that perhaps the most uh stressful or the most difficult time among

[63:08]all of the imams that's that's his analogy you know he says

[63:12]is maybe is the 11th Imam because he has to make sure

[63:18]that whatever he has gathered he has to transfer it to the

[63:21]to the community it's a big responsibility because there's the 12 one

[63:26]is Major occultation now the community needs to survive after the 11th

[63:31]Imam you know is Shahid and while the 12th Imam is in

[63:36]the so the the transformation of whether those be outward fi sort

[63:46]of rulings teachings and those inner esoteric H realities any IM did

[64:03]that know that's a long Hadith right if it wasn't for FAA

[64:10]Ali and Prophet wouldn't have been created I'm not going to get

[64:15]into that Hadith right now what is pointing out to the reality

[64:21]of who Fatima is right you know six says FAA is the

[64:33]night of if night is fa the is Ali the destiny that

[64:39]descends that's why it's right he he destines people that's Ali that

[64:44]descends on who on Fatima which is the Knight 11th IM also

[64:51]just quickly came to my mind says that the journey to Allah

[64:54]is incomplete without night being the vehicle night is Fatima without Fatima

[65:03]the journey to Allah is incomplete why why because the she is

[65:08]the you know the reality of all creation to exist our J

[65:26]Fatima is our is our of what of the IMs of iMat

[65:34]even IM Ali included here so the Bak ofat is FAA mentioned

[65:42]by the prophet and the first masum and you have the 11th

[65:45]Imam he has to transfer that right that esoteric you know side

[65:55]of Dean and here as well the B of IM is Fatima

[65:57]is fa IM is Fatima as well Im is you know transferring

[66:04]that and it remained with us the Asar and the secrets of

[66:09]Fatima who she is we have that in our Hadith literature more

[66:13]than other schools of thought and perhaps maybe some of the you

[66:19]know Sufi Masters may have their such asabi mentions in one of

[66:22]the rala that jibrael would attend to Fatima after the demise of

[66:27]the Prophet after the shahadat of the Prophet comes to FAA now

[66:30]that itself is very astonishing where Imam says that I have looked

[66:36]at all of these qualities but I can't seem to comprehend this

[66:40]that jibrael coming to Fatima because jibrael is an archangel even he

[66:46]did not come for Prophet Fatima is able to see prophets unable

[66:50]to see jel is coming this whole had is what she's watching

[66:59]jibrael goes to Allah as this come f is seeing all of

[67:01]that listening jbra comes and speak toas who listens who have that

[67:10]capability that sort of naps is needed to see that's Fatima Imam

[67:15]Hassan asari third of shaan right and very quickly the M Alat

[67:24]of M are one of them what did he say community building

[67:30]he has to transfer it look where it has reached now at

[67:34]a time where this Imam is in Sam didn't even do Haj

[67:41]right prison he's talking about Z saying go do zat there so

[67:49]much of persecution mut and all that period he passed that period

[67:55]that it's important because sa is Hussein Hussein is going to give

[68:03]that that of that andif of of Allah is Theif of the

[68:12]IM who's an Imam on the third of shaan there's a Dua

[68:16]from 11th Imam this from IM Hassan asaram that you know Allah

[68:21]where he says that uh you know for the day of the

[68:28]mud what mud the mud when he was born the whatsoever in

[68:33]the heaven cried whatsoever was on the earth cried why because his

[68:40]martydom was already announced not born yet just born but his martydom

[68:46]is already announced what concept is this is very mysterious it's not

[68:51]it cannot be you know understood or digested by you know even

[68:55]our Al Sunnah brothers because say what is this right but this

[69:04]is mystery and Imam Hassan asari is mentioning this and is a

[69:09]Dua is in mafti you know this points out to the Mak

[69:17]the station the position of something which is beyond what we may

[69:22]see and comprehend as yes but they are something else they are

[69:34]the creation of that light and Allah chose them in that realm

[69:38]that's why zat of we tested you and you passed and when

[69:44]they Allah chose them based on certain qualities they were that's why

[69:50]the fifth Imam says there's no favoritism between us and Allah we

[69:54]we we we receive and we have achieved because of our it

[69:59]and there's no favoritism between us and our Shia they will come

[70:01]close to us because of their is favoritism in that realm of

[70:08]no in that realm of light Allah chose them and send them

[70:12]here on this earth when Allah sent them here on this Earth

[70:19]they were thankful of being Chosen and they tried their utmost they

[70:23]tried their level best to be thankful and that s day of

[70:30]Hussein on the day of Ashura is thanking Allah that Allah you

[70:32]chose me I hope I have done it I hope I have

[70:37]will you go to an expert to teach your child art or

[70:44]you'll choose anybody you want your children to be taught by an

[70:49]expert teacher so you'll go and find an expert are the expert

[70:58]teachers Allah chose and Allah wants the children to be taught by

[71:02]them and these teachers they do their level best that's Allah have

[71:11]chosen them right so they have they they have that creation of

[71:19]Light which is even before third Imam is 11th IM is saying

[71:25]before he was born shahada was already announced right and this is

[71:33]very interesting as it goes on and it looks at that in

[71:39]the end an angel was Fus punished and he was cured by

[71:48]the Cradle of Hussein is IM Hassan asari saying H Angel punished

[71:53]do do they commit sin angels are pure beings do they commit

[72:00]sin it is the lack of our understanding anyway you know that's

[72:04]a theological discussion in regards to angels in Christian theology yes you

[72:09]know Satan is a fallen angel they call shitan as Fallen Angel

[72:15]right and also that's why you have you know Los Angeles you
