[10:15]Muhammad [Music] [Music] I begin in Allah's name the beneficent the merciful

[11:00]all praise belongs to Allah subhana wa ta'ala who has granted us

[11:03]this opportunity to exist and the greatest mercy of Allah is that

[11:10]when Allah creates something from nothing he never takes it back to

[11:13]nothing not even the insects not even the animals will ever go

[11:20]back to nothing they all remain perpetually receiving the infinite mercy of

[11:25]Allah and in stages upon which they remain in tranquil the animal

[11:33]kingdom having fulfilled its obligations to allow intelligent beings like you and

[11:41]I to exist and to reach high stations of trials and tribulations

[11:45]Allah rewards those animals in the jungles in our homes in our

[11:52]neighborhoods because Allah is very merciful and Allah insists on this fact

[11:58]those who will remain punished who who will be very few by

[12:05]the way who will remain in Hell perpetually will be because they

[12:09]themselves by their own will meaning the one who's punished is refusing

[12:14]to obey Allah perpetually like El having said that Allah subhana tala

[12:20]has placed us on this Earth upon which to acknowledge his incredible

[12:27]Mercy trials and tribulations and when you and I I get windfall

[12:31]where we get a lot of wealth happiness strength in whatever that

[12:36]we like and that which we don't like are all parts of

[12:42]the trials and tribulations so when we ask that question and this

[12:46]conversation as I've just started is a universal conversation in that every

[12:51]human being regardless of faith will have to acknowledge this fact that

[12:55]even if they don't believe in God they do acknowledge the fact

[13:00]that this world is a world of trials and tribulations and that

[13:03]we as a human race have to work to promote good and

[13:11]to prevent destruction and evil this is a common standard a universal

[13:16]standard accepted by all intelligent beings this is something you and I

[13:20]should ponder over that those who don't believe in God who think

[13:23]this world is an accident then why is it so fixed about

[13:28]this matter of morality why is the moral argument so fixed yes

[13:32]you and I can interpret morality in various ways but It ultimately

[13:36]catches you people call it karma people say what goes around comes

[13:40]around do unto others as you want done unto you why is

[13:45]it like that if this world were an accident and there is

[13:50]no God and there is no merciful Creator and and there are

[13:55]people by the way who truly believe that there is no God

[13:57]and who truly believe I say they believe there's no God meaning

[14:02]they're denying Allah Allah cannot be cannot be rejected in reality but

[14:08]people work you know to use their mind and their efforts to

[14:13]reject God or they say there is no day of judgment you

[14:15]know they will tell you that the prophets who came are either

[14:22]fictitious or they just concocted or made things up or the Quran

[14:25]is just a manifestation of a man's thought meaning the holy prophet

[14:27]sallallah muham Muhammad and Allah has allowed that Allah says we guided

[14:43]you to the path whether you're grateful or un grateful meaning the

[14:46]ability to reject the truth is within our framework and therefore in

[14:51]life we're constantly challenged by antithesis which whatever thesis we propose so

[14:57]if we say there is God there's is always somebody's going to

[14:59]say there is no God if you say this is good somebody

[15:03]will tell you no this is evil if you say this is

[15:06]evil somebody will say this is good there's always somebody flipping things

[15:10]upside down in whatever Direction You and I have to propose and

[15:14]that's okay Allah says it's fine you might ask the question why

[15:21]did Allah not make it impossible to do that well Allah should

[15:25]have fixed a straight path upon which every intelligent being is basically

[15:32]um following it by nature meaning there's no way you can disobey

[15:38]God Allah could have done that but the Salient nature that comes

[15:45]out of this disparity upon which we can reject the truth and

[15:52]cause destruction is that the one who is holding on to the

[15:54]truth and the one who is punished as a result of holding

[15:59]on to the truth becomes greater than normal so Allah's Mercy is

[16:05]added to the all the other mercies that I've described briefly here

[16:10]in that because of trials and tribulations and because of the propensity

[16:15]of negativity Allah says the which Allah has allowed to exist the

[16:22]negation of good the rejection of good the the proposition or the

[16:26]promotion of Destruction as the did you know especially in carala and

[16:35]Imam Hussein Alam on the opposite side holding on to the banner

[16:38]of Truth and being punished because of that fact and now being

[16:44]killed and severed and decapitated and smashed right and then his family

[16:52]is also killed in front of him you might ask why is

[16:55]Allah allowing such negativity to happen because this world of Trials Allah

[17:01]wants us to decree our own destiny all you who believe take

[17:13]care of yourselves save yourselves and your family from the fire so

[17:24]the decision is in us and that ability to decide has to

[17:26]has to be in an environment that can be a seesaw it

[17:31]can go in both directions it's like when a plane is flying

[17:36]you know very comfortably it's because a lot of effort has been

[17:39]made to ensure the plane does not flip-flop and when it does

[17:44]it must be for a reason otherwise it's very uncomfortable so there's

[17:49]a balancing act Allah says maintain the balance don't tilt it how

[17:57]do I not tilt it you might ask this world is precarious

[18:01]it's difficult how do I not tilt it so tonight in this

[18:07]two nights that I'm presenting Allah subhana tala wants us to ponder

[18:12]Islam is the religion of guidance it is the religion of Truth

[18:18]it is the only religion to Allah there is no other religion

[18:23]by the way to Allah Christianity Judaism Buddhism Hinduism taism Confucianism and

[18:29]all the rest of them are all names of religions that are

[18:36]offshoots of Islam it's very and you might say you might say

[18:39]well how do you know this well let's examine the principles within

[18:43]Islam you'll find that Allah discusses the creation of Adam Allah decreed

[18:56]and made an announcement to the angels that I'm going to place

[19:01]on Earth my representative this is in the Quran Islam is the

[19:07]only religion that insists that the first human being on Earth was

[19:11]also a prophet of God Christians don't believe in that Jews don't

[19:16]believe in that fascinating Hindus and Buddhists for sure don't believe in

[19:20]it because they don't believe in such principles to begin with when

[19:25]it comes to Buddhism and Hinduism it's just a cyclical order of

[19:29]things that has a Perpetual nature until it reaches Nirvana or whatever

[19:34]you want to call it so among the abrahamic fates we as

[19:37]Muslims argue that Adam being the first human being meaning the father

[19:43]of all of humanity and therefore all the religions that have come

[19:47]thereafter must have come after Islam because Adam was a Muslim Allah

[19:53]says Muslim and the angels bowed to Adam and Adam and howah

[19:57]when they were brought on Earth they prayed they covered themselves as

[20:02]soon as the trial began and they started to pray in what

[20:06]direction the Caba the same cabba that was built later on by

[20:58]the religion of Allah is not for 14 centuries old we're taught

[21:01]in schools that among the abrahamic faiths Islam is the youngest of

[21:05]the abrahamic faiths and that's false it's blatantly false and we are

[21:13]being duped by it as a poison pill when I hear people

[21:18]telling me this excuse me what did you just say oh Islam

[21:20]is the is I said correction Islam was completed 1,400 years ago

[21:26]but it started with Adam so I don't know what you mean

[21:30]it's the youngest it is the latest when it comes to its

[21:34]completion it is the most uh uh what we call pertinent and

[21:41]the latest of the finished religion of God which was when Allah

[21:50]says so Allah perfected completed his favor 14 centuries ago but it

[21:58]didn't start because the poison p implies that the holy prophet came

[22:03]up with the religion and he included ibraim to attract himself within

[22:08]the abrahamic faith because there's this whole concoction argument that the holy

[22:12]prophet took from the Christians and the Jews and created a religion

[22:17]called Islam well if you examine historically it's ridiculous it's actually so

[22:27]absurd that it doesn't even hold any value first of all this

[22:30]accusation but we're not going there tonight the point I'm trying to

[22:33]make is that Allah subhana tala has laid a beautiful religion of

[22:37]guidance and Allah ensures that the human race from the very start

[22:45]is guided and hence the first human being is an agent of

[22:48]Allah so the critical point to understand here as we commemorate is

[22:56]that the guidance of Allah is Central to the entire religion of

[23:02]God guidance see Allah says you know that so Allah subhana tala

[23:31]is clearly showing you were not worthy of being mentioned you were

[23:34]nothing I created you and the first thing I did was to

[23:38]guide you guidance now why am I speaking this way we're commemorating

[23:49]we have a lot of majales lectures we attend routinely which is

[23:54]a blessing of Allah we are blessed among the school of a

[23:59]b not only to have but we have the 10 nights of

[24:05]Ash right we have 14 maum 14 infallibles that we celebrate and

[24:15]commemorate so if you spread it out across the year we Muslims

[25:18]muawiya was a thief he was immoral but we were not fighting

[25:25]to recapture the money we were not fighting to recapture the land

[25:31]the material aspects are not what our battles are for our battles

[25:38]are for high moral standards even in abject poverty or with Incredible

[25:44]wealth like sulan that's what our trial is on so religion is

[25:50]on the basis of that if you and I don't practice good

[25:54]morals good attitude good submission humbleness kindness caring sharing giving forgiving loving

[26:10]then you're not a Muslim or you're not a good Muslim you

[26:14]can say I am firmly believe in one God I am a

[26:21]mu 100% And I a firm believer that there are 124,000 prophets

[26:25]of God and I'm a firm believer that Adam was the first

[26:30]and I'm a firm believer that the holy prophet sallallahu alaih wasallam

[26:34]is the last the sealer that he is the sealer of prophets

[26:41]and after him there will be no more prophets and I'm a

[26:45]firm believer that the Quran is the scripture of Allah and I'm

[26:48]a firm believer that there were preceding scriptures that were given to

[26:52]men all of the AA I laid it out it's like sitting

[26:57]on a Pulpit and speak speaking intelligently and then my akl is

[28:58]see an atheist or I see a Christian or a Jew or

[29:04]a Hindu but there a clock is impeccable they're honest they're sincere

[29:12]they don't cheat you they are straightforward they tell you like it

[29:19]is and you scratch your head like how is that possible how

[29:22]is it possible that this person who idolizes statues has such Behavior

[29:30]so it gets confusing now how Allah will deal with people on

[29:36]Judgment Day is between Allah and the person Allah is the Malik

[29:41]but you and I as humans are trying to make sense of

[29:46]it in this world that where do I go and what do

[29:49]I need to do in order to reach the high stations that

[29:51]God created me for potentially because at the end of the day

[29:57]every one of us has to Max maximize our Potentials in life

[30:00]the amazing fact of time is that the minute you're born the

[30:07]second you're born time takes you away it takes you on a

[30:09]conveyor belt which you cannot stop it's interesting a few days ago

[30:14]there was a child who when the baby the girl was born

[30:18]she was a little baby and the other day she was babbling

[30:22]and talking and calling out everybody's names and I looked at the

[30:28]parents and I said how much much did you do to allow

[30:30]this child to speak and the parent looked at me we're just

[30:37]we're just observing in fact we have our cameras ready when our

[30:40]baby starts to talk we just want to record I said did

[30:44]you turn any switches on did you do anything special to allow

[30:46]your child to speak to learn language or to have the ability

[30:53]you know to to to produce that sound Allah says look at

[31:00]my timing that the minute the baby is born there's a growth

[31:03]taking place and in some and in in time that child becomes

[31:09]bigger than the mother that bore it sometimes twice the size of

[31:13]the mother some you know daughters and sons are like much bigger

[31:16]than their mothers and see wow Subhan Allah this one came from

[31:20]this one this one's half the size how did that happen Allah

[31:26]says by time I take you and you grow and and within

[31:28]that time you have to maximize your potentials and if you don't

[31:35]you will miss the boat so you notice parents as soon as

[31:37]children are born within a short time they want to make sure

[31:41]their children go to school they finish their education within the time

[31:44]they're supposed to and it's very typical in schools you will see

[31:47]students who are in the different grades are within that age range

[31:51]and if they miss that age range they have to do it

[31:56]privately to catch up right it's very difficult notice the potential in

[32:00]life is built in such a tactical way that you have to

[32:07]catch it immediately meaning logic dictates that I have to maximize my

[32:13]potential and those that I love and if I don't I will

[32:15]miss it because time will take the opportunity away for me Subhan

[32:23]Allah it's amazing reality that we all live by there's nothing you

[32:26]and I can do to avoid it but it's a gift of

[32:29]God for if you and I could stop time reverse it you

[32:31]know hit edit undo it would create chaos in life the human

[32:37]race from the minute they created which they were not worthy of

[32:40]being mentioned to the moment when malikul Mo meets them at whatever

[32:47]stage in their lives they return to their lord what is this

[34:18]when they're asked when they're told you know when they're told to

[34:22]follow what Allah has revealed they said no no we follow what

[34:27]our fathers followed meaning Blind Faith we follow our Cycles we just

[34:34]recycle religion and Allah puts a question even if your parents are

[34:42]going to hell you will follow them that final question is the

[34:45]entire conversation right now which is to ponder on the purpose of

[34:49]life not to be cyclical many of us are Muslims because we

[34:55]were born Muslims many of us are Shia of because we were

[35:02]born Shia many of us give as we say homage to because

[35:09]we were born in that religion when you look at they follow

[35:15]what their fathers gave them Christians follow what their fathers gave them

[35:20]Jews follow what their fathers gave them I sit with them all

[35:22]the time and I discuss and that was the question I asked

[35:26]myself that I was born born in the family of a b

[35:32]followers so I was privileged but my forefathers were not thank God

[35:41]my great great-grandparents took the ways of B and said this is

[35:47]the correct Dean that I'm its beneficiary but now should I just

[36:48]it because others are removing it hijab is a command of Allah

[36:51]subhana tala for the benefit of ourselves Salah the man's hijab our

[36:58]lowering of our eyes is not something in order for us to

[37:02]pretend to look Pious Allah say to the believing men to lower

[37:08]their eyes it's a command of Allah so that you and I

[37:13]are saved from ignominy and indecency so when we do that it

[37:21]is because we thought about Allah so you and I should question

[37:24]ourselves in the transactions that we have on our day-to-day believes on

[37:30]whether or not it is pleasurable to Allah is it within the

[37:34]frame of what prophets did and is it within the frames of

[37:41]what the imams did Allah says I'm digging deeper into this question

[37:49]the verse I recited faith lies in the heart not the pumping

[37:57]vessel but the heart of the Soul Allah said in here in

[38:09]heart we say in uh we recite in Al Iman our Lord

[38:24]do not let my heart deviate to the meaning let it not

[38:32]go away from the truth is in the heart in Allah says

[38:46]the desert dwellers say we believe you know the beduins they came

[38:53]to the prophet and say we believe because you know people were

[38:57]accepting Islam in armies listen to the verse Allah says say to

[39:05]them you don't believe rather say we submit faith has not entered

[39:23]your hearts many of us are like this we believe we're Muslims

[39:29]Ali we are lovers of Hussein and I'm putting myself in this

[39:34]group I'm not saying you know there's a group out there all

[39:39]of us need to put ourselves when Allah says question yourself this

[39:44]conversation is about you and I coming to these kind of lectures

[39:48]and pondering as what is the function and purpose of such Gatherings

[39:53]is it to recycle and declare well here in the Quran you

[39:59]know the other schools of thought when you declare Islam you become

[40:03]protected even if you murder you kill you commit the most heinous

[40:10]crimes like the B but they say same Allah says and look

[40:20]at the verse it's so concise and clear it lays the entire

[40:23]Foundation of this conversation rather say we submit what does that word

[40:40]come from Islam we are Muslims we submit well what is a

[40:45]Muslim Allah says say so when is IM going to enter Allah

[41:07]is most forgiving listen to the verse so Allah is saying if

[43:04]threatened them but look how they've put themselves in position you study

[43:09]all religions you'll find some devil has entered and is working to

[43:14]obfuscate the message of Allah Allah mentions that in the Quran he

[44:16]a parent will secure your children you'll put them away send them

[44:20]someplace safe and then you go into danger why take them with

[44:24]you the women a lot of reflection and meditation to understand many

[44:31]people are perplexed by this in fact people who are very surface

[44:34]likee think that this was a foolish act it was the most

[44:39]genus act in the annals of History to take every sector of

[44:43]the human race and bring them on the battlefield and to expose

[44:50]the dimensions of how the human race should understand what is right

[44:54]and what is wrong when people ask me there are five m

[45:46]family the same question Allah puts forth to the Christians of IM

[46:02]is doing exactly the same thing Ina when the messenger of Allah

[46:17]challenge the prophet in Medina why did Allah command the prophet to

[46:21]bring the prophet's family forward because evened is dependent on the prophet

[46:27]and his family the question was not about it was about Allah

[46:35]being one or having a son why is Allah commanding the prophet

[46:39]to tell the Christians to bring their sons their women and theirselves

[46:45]if they're truthful the Christians of njan understood this and they backed

[46:50]out and hence the Treaty of you know was mubahalah now when

[46:54]you understand that Imam Hussein Alam is taking his family for the

[46:59]same reason but when you examine this you look at the women

[47:02]what was the role of the women this is exactly what we're

[47:07]talking about reflection meditation cogitation that they became the media of carala

[47:14]this event was so Monumental that Allah delayed it when is was

[47:19]being sacrificed and Allah says there will come a great sacrifice ahead

[47:22]it shall be the ultimate sacrifice that will be the Seal of

[47:28]all sacrifices that will lay the foundation of the very function and

[47:31]purpose of the trials of why you were created when you look

[47:36]at the moral argument it was all in carala it wasn't about

[47:39]sizes of army it wasn't about names and genealogies it was about

[47:47]holding the truth versus those who want to destroy the truth the

[47:51]ones who want to bring lies as the standard on this Earth
