[1:17]Dina had a law Fabio amok today and those are the ones
[1:29]that God guided so follow their guidance a man habla sadaqa allahu
[1:36]allahu la vie today we're celebrating the birth anniversary of a giant
[1:46]imam al hassan al mustafa who is birth marks a turning point
[1:56]and a new beginning for Islam mahasin Mustafa was the first and
[2:03]he was the second and he was the third and he was
[2:10]the fourth an interesting piece of information for our youth he was
[2:16]the first grandchild of rasool allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam and he was
[2:23]the second successor to the Prophet and he was the third divinely
[2:32]appointed leader Imam and he was the fourth member of the holy
[2:38]progeny of rasool allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam but what's so special about
[2:46]this joyful occasion and what makes it so important is the fact
[2:51]that imam al hassan is actually the son of rasoolallah in the
[3:04]literal sense confused don't be because our allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam said
[3:14]numerous times al hassan al hussain Abney min sold by Ali Hassan
[3:19]Hussein are my two sons from the lineage of Ali ibn Abu
[3:24]Talib and he also said in Aquila Nabi in the rear two
[3:32]humans will be every prophet his children are from his lineage but
[3:38]my children are from the offsprings of Ameer al-mumineen alehissalaam and this
[3:47]is why the commander of the faithful Ameer al-mumineen treated them as
[3:56]such as if they were the two sons of Rasul Allah that
[4:00]he was entrusted with he had to take care of them and
[4:05]this is why the commander of the faithful was overprotective when it
[4:11]comes to dealing with Imam and Hasan Mahmud Hussain for example during
[4:16]the wars that he participated in rarely gave Imam Hassan or Imam
[4:25]I seen the permission to take part in the war why he
[4:29]said it he said because if God forbid something happens to a
[4:37]mammal person or to Imam al-hussein then the lineage of us would
[4:41]Allah would be severed these are the children of Rasulullah that's why
[4:46]historians tell us that during the lifetime of the prophets a mammal
[4:50]Hassan and Imam Hussain would address their grandfather would call their grandfather
[4:59]rasoolallah Abbott dad Oh father one might ask what did they call
[5:05]their own biological father Amir al-mumineen historians tell us imam al hassan
[5:10]would call his father Amir al-mumineen would call him iya a Belarusian
[5:14]out of respect for his brother Imam Hussain and Imam Hussain would
[5:20]call his father yah Abell Hassan out of respect for his brother
[5:30]imam hassan al mustafa in one of the wars the war of
[5:33]the camel now I like it when Jamel inshallah I'll speak one
[5:41]night about this very important war that happened during the time of
[5:47]Amir al-mumineen alehissalaam the Imam ordered his son Mohammed Abdel Hanafy Mohammed
[5:51]ibn Ali he was the son of Al Hanafy his mother had
[5:58]a nickname her nickname was Al Hanafy he commanded him to go
[6:03]to the middle of the battlefield and strike the spear in the
[6:12]thorax of the camel to kill it why because the camel turned
[6:17]into a symbol of rebellion people were being killed because of the
[6:22]camel there was an entire battalion guarding that camel so he told
[6:29]him to attack the camel not the rider of the camel just
[6:37]the camel calathea takes the spear and he goes into the battlefield
[6:42]but there was an entire army guarding and defending that camel so
[6:48]as he was about to strike that spear that arrow in the
[6:54]thorax of the camel he was faced with an incredible resistance from
[6:59]those men that were guarding the camel he tried hard but he
[7:04]was showered with arrows so he just couldn't do it he retreated
[7:11]back to the camp but as he was about to go back
[7:12]to his father Amir al-mumineen in Muhammad Hassan and Mustafa and this
[7:19]is something many people don't really know about this great man this
[7:23]great Imam we don't really know about his courage about his bravery
[7:26]but he was a brave man he was very courageous he took
[7:31]the the spear from the hands of his brother Muhammad and dived
[7:35]into the middle of the battlefield he was faced with the same
[7:40]resistance and resilience from these men guiding the camel but he was
[7:44]able to cut through the lines and strike the camel with his
[7:51]spear and when the camel fell it brought an end to the
[7:59]war he extinguished the fire of fitna when he returned to his
[8:03]father Ameer al-mumineen the Imam made a very interesting remark he said
[8:10]Muhammad Ali Mohammed Ahmet Hanif he is the son of Ali even
[8:16]though we all know that courage is unmatched yet he attributes his
[8:25]inability to strike that camel to himself why because at the end
[8:35]of the day Muhammad it's the son of Ali but his mother
[8:38]is not an infallible lady that's why he wasn't perfect was a
[8:46]mixed blood I'm Alison follow allah sallallahu aleyhi wa was in them
[8:53]the difference between Muhammad and Hassan is that Hassan is the son
[8:58]of Rasul Allah he has the traits of Rasulullah and ma Abney
[9:02]and Hassan fella who hey Betty was shorted he inherited his traits
[9:09]from his grandfather rasool allah from his father rasool allah sallallahu alayhi
[9:18]wasallam while muhammad is my son the Imam is talking about the
[9:22]courage of Rasul Allah and this is an area not many people
[9:28]know about Ameer al-mumineen he tells us about the courage of rasool
[9:32]allah saw a lahar EUI they were selling historians tell us that
[9:37]the the Prophet even though he was part of the wars that
[9:44]happened during his lifetime but he never actively participated in you in
[9:52]a war salaam however says Kuna Hamir Ben annuities whenever the war
[10:00]became fierce whenever it was the heated battle love Nam BRE sha
[10:07]tsui law fellow yo Khun krub I do women whenever the war
[10:16]became fierce we saw refuge in rasoolullah sallallahu alayhi wa who's saying
[10:22]that amirul mumineen is describing the courage of rasulallah he would be
[10:28]the closest person to the enemy combatants and we seek refuge in
[10:33]allah so allah so that he would defend us msn far evanora
[10:36]surely la some Liholiho while he wasn't now to maximize our benefit
[10:52]from our presence today we should realize that when we deal with
[10:58]the likes of imam and hassan mostafa or any other member of
[11:01]the holy progeny there are two things that we need to take
[11:10]into account the first thing is that there is a huge gap
[11:13]this enormous gap that separates us from these holy individuals and this
[11:26]gap is the element of time when you hear someone like me
[11:30]speak about mom and I said much - by your mind automatically
[11:33]goes into black and white mode as if you're watching a movie
[11:41]from the 60s or the 50s because let's face it these individuals
[11:46]lived in ancient history 14 centuries ago their life unfolded so we
[11:57]don't feel that they are close to us we don't feel that
[12:04]they are relatable yes we respect them we revere them we believe
[12:10]that they are appointed by God the Almighty but this closeness isn't
[12:17]there so the first thing that we should do when dealing with
[12:22]the likes of Imam Hassan Mustafa is eliminate the element of time
[12:28]this needs to be removed why because the Imams in general the
[12:39]elevate alayhim as-salam in general they represented a set of ideals and
[12:45]virtues and these virtues are timeless these virtues are not bound by
[12:53]geography these virtues are not bound by time they're always relevant that's
[12:58]why the life of mahmoud hassan mostafa is as relevant today as
[13:07]it was during his lifetime the more we study his life the
[13:12]more we examine his life we will see that relevance and with
[13:22]respect to imam hassan Mustafa specifically if we know more about him
[13:29]we will invoke him every single day numerous times because he will
[13:35]become an inspiration for us and we as humans need these inspirations
[13:39]especially when it comes to a trait that imam and hassan mostafa
[13:50]was known for which is clemency the second point that we need
[13:53]to take into account when we deal with the mahmoud hassan mostafa
[13:57]is that sometimes we feel that these people are too good for
[14:08]us we're fallible they're infallible they're out of reach but the fact
[14:15]of the matter is that this is a satanic Whisperer he tries
[14:19]to separate us from our imams from our leaders and this is
[14:24]why he whispers this in our ears they're too good for us
[14:29]who can imitate alia blab you toilet who can become like imam
[14:32]and her saying please tell our true they are multifaceted individuals there
[14:40]is an aspect that is out of reach like their relationship with
[14:44]God their origin the amount of knowledge that they possessed but at
[14:50]the end of the day the reason why they were brought to
[14:55]this world and had a human shape human form is for us
[15:01]to imitate them to follow them so that they would become role
[15:03]models for us Imam Museveni Jafar was no infirm suppressing his anger
[15:12]he was a human being on in naman a bestial myth luke
[15:17]whom you highly I'm just like you in the sense that I
[15:23]have the same urges I have the same tendency to act upon
[15:30]my anger and yet I don't that means you can - or
[15:32]for example when a married woman was attacked and an arrow pierced
[15:41]into his his body and they removed that arrow from his body
[15:45]he went through the pain that each and every one of us
[15:51]would go through if we are subjected to the same - the
[15:54]same calamity - the same tragedy or when a mom and her
[16:00]same alehissalaam had to grieve at the death of his son Ali
[16:02]Anil Akbar the amount of pain that he felt that he harbored
[16:10]isn't any less than any woman or any man when they lose
[16:14]their son you highly know today and the limited amount of time
[16:26]that I have I would like to speak about a specific incident
[16:31]that happened during the time of Imam Hassan and try to to
[16:36]take the lessons from this incident and to tell you how this
[16:41]incident can become an inspiration for us in the 21st century in
[16:49]this part of the world but before I tell you what happened
[16:53]you probably know the story but let me give you the context
[17:02]now we have been abuse of yarn was filled with hate he
[17:06]hated Ali bin Abi Talib and everything and everyone associated with Ali
[17:15]ibn ABI Talib I mean imagine for 80 years for eight consecutive
[17:23]decades he issued a mandate for every speaker that wants to ascend
[17:30]on the pulpit and speak in any mosque in any part of
[17:36]the world they had to curse a leave Navy pilot before after
[17:45]and in between socially culturally militarily and politically all he did was
[17:55]display his any model any animosity towards a million Mormon II and
[18:00]even after the death of ali IBN ABI talib his war against
[18:03]the imam did not end he sought each and every companion of
[18:10]a married woman and killed them one by one any person that
[18:14]even took part remotely in a war with ali IBN ABI talib
[18:20]had to be assassinated and killed even woman that took part in
[18:24]a war and recited a poem praising ali IBN ABI talib had
[18:32]to be punished he spared no efforts in attacking ali bin ABI
[18:39]talib undermining his position and sabotaging his image he used every weapon
[18:45]in his arsenal every iota of effort to achieve that the first
[18:49]in the Quran summarizes the effort that he exerted to do that
[18:55]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala says in the Quran were in Connemara homeless
[18:59]a Zulu men whole jabal if the effort that he exerted were
[19:04]implemented on mountains the mountains would perish the mountains would perish let
[19:11]alone a human being like a mera nominee Ali Saddam did you
[19:17]know there for so many years for so many decades the burial
[19:21]place of Amir al-mumineen was unknown the general public why because he
[19:31]had made the commitment to unearth the body of a mutant woman
[19:35]and burn it up until the time of imam sadiq ali said
[19:39]i'm that he revealed the whereabouts of his burial place I merely
[19:46]momineen his burial place now we use the pulpit which was the
[19:52]only source of information that the people had to receive knowledge to
[19:59]propagate and to spread fabricated lies against Amira nominee hundreds of fabricated
[20:12]narrations falsely attributed to the Prophet were fabricated just to sabotage the
[20:19]image of a married woman he gave one quote unquote companion by
[20:24]the name of so motive in a John Doe 100,000 golden dinars
[20:29]just to say that a verse that talks about the hypocrites a
[20:36]verse in the Quran says that some people they're eloquent they're articulate
[20:40]when they speak but when it comes to their heart their heart
[20:43]is very dark filled with darkness he said fabricate a hadith say
[20:49]that the Prophet said that this would this this verse pertains to
[20:52]any urban area time every verse that talks about hypocrites was falsely
[20:57]attributed Allium now be upon him even the verse that speaks about
[21:01]not to go close to salat when you're intoxicated they said yeah
[21:07]this is what I live never thought of did and so Allah
[21:09]subhana WA Ta'ala revealed this first to the Prophet to this extent
[21:13]fabricating a hadith and basically creating an atmosphere against aliens never thought
[21:25]one man from Shawn modern-day Syria Syria was the stronghold of Maui
[21:34]as you all know he ruled in sham was heavily influenced by
[21:39]the smearing campaign of Maui he portrayed Ali bin Abi Talib as
[21:48]an evil man as the source of every evil in the Muslim
[21:50]world so this guy he travels all the way to the city
[21:56]of Medina he knows that I live near Bethel a killed and
[21:59]one of the rumors that they spread was that I did never
[22:04]eat I didn't even pray as you all know they even say
[22:09]that one day in one of the battles I think it was
[22:10]Safina a young man from the other camp from lobbyists camp he
[22:18]came holding the Quran for everyone to see he said that I
[22:26]want to fight Ali bin Abi Talib in the name of this
[22:31]Quran one man said to him that do you know who he
[22:33]is he is the walking talking Quran you want to use the
[22:41]blunt he said yes because I leave Nabi pileup doesn't pray and
[22:45]he assumed this role he's claiming to be a leader and yet
[22:50]he doesn't even pray he severed his connection with God I think
[22:53]it was a lot of Niassa one of the Companions of Ameer
[22:56]domine grabbed his hand and he said to him let me show
[23:02]you something he took him to the camp of Ameer al-mumineen he
[23:04]said you see this tent let's go inside they go inside the
[23:11]tent to meet with OSL Kalani he said do you know who
[23:13]this guy is his name is always sill colony he's one of
[23:19]the Companions of Ali ibn ABI Talib walk on your Sulli billy-oh
[23:21]me why laila and in fact this guy is just a companion
[23:29]of ali and yet he prays 1,000 Rockets in the 24-hour cycle
[23:34]he's influenced by Ali come and look at ability on come and
[23:40]look at anatomical huzzah all these people what Khalil a minute Leila
[23:47]Maya had your own they only sleep a little bit to spend
[23:50]their time worshiping Allah subhana WA Ta'ala because of the impact of
[23:54]Ali ABI talib on their lives what are you saying God Liam
[24:00]now be a part of doesn't pray this is nonsense but they
[24:03]were heavily influenced by their smearing campaign of mahalia so he goes
[24:08]to to the holy city of medina he asks the people of
[24:15]medina is there anyone associated with Ilene related Charlie they said yes
[24:20]his son Hassan and his son her saying and while you not
[24:27]only ordered the speakers to Kris Ali but also to course to
[24:31]Kris Ali Hassan or saying and everyone associated with Ali so they
[24:35]tell him that his son Hassan Ali is still alive all of
[24:38]a sudden in the middle of the of the city he finds
[24:44]le mahmoud hassan mostafa on the back of abuse so he hastily
[24:48]goes towards mahmoud hassan mostafa and uses every profanity all the vulgarity
[24:56]to shower the imam with with slanders accusation and pricing now imagine
[25:09]if someone disrespects your father how would you react if someone disrespects
[25:16]your late father how would you react now imagine if your father
[25:25]was a pious believer imagine if your father was the island was
[25:28]an erudite how would you react if someone disrespects your father you
[25:32]would be angry now imagine if your father is uneven ever be
[25:38]a pilot what's astonishing is how a mammal hasn't reacted to this
[25:51]person's accusation how did the imam react I mentioned this example or
[25:56]the story to draw a lesson with regards to the toxic atmosphere
[26:02]that we live in in the 21st century in this part of
[26:08]the world I think that we would be able to tackle Islamophobia
[26:17]if we could draw the necessary lessons from this incident alone when
[26:23]we are faced with all the negativity with all the attacks against
[26:29]your religion we have three options three ways to deal with this
[26:36]problem either be as aggressive as they are but this is not
[26:45]an option why simply because there are people that have an agenda
[26:51]political agenda sometimes it's a financial agenda to attack Islam but their
[26:58]base the people that support them usually do so out of ignorance
[27:02]this is why most of the Slama phobes they don't have any
[27:11]interactions with Muslims and yet the people that have daily interaction with
[27:18]Muslims in the work environment in college wherever they tend to have
[27:25]a very good impression of Islam and Muslims this is why if
[27:32]you become as aggressive as the people that are Islamophobes that attack
[27:37]Islam all the time you are supporting the base of those people
[27:40]so this is not an option the second option is to conceal
[27:48]your identity change your name take off your head job shave your
[27:53]beard shake hands with the opposite gender and basically integrating the society
[27:56]and be like everyone else and this is what a lot of
[28:01]people do because their name their religious identity comes with a lot
[28:06]of baggage I met a woman in Los Angeles even though she
[28:10]really liked to wear her job look at the irony the accused's
[28:17]islam of import imposing forcefully a job on woman this lady she
[28:22]was interested in wearing hijab and yet she said that I can't
[28:29]because I can't tolerate all the racism all the hate against Islam
[28:32]and I'm a manager of the restaurant so I just can't wear
[28:37]her job my husband is telling me that's gonna be difficult for
[28:41]you to wear the hijab his son went to Hajj when he
[28:46]was about to to return to America his father calls him and
[28:50]he says to him beware of praying while you're in the plane
[28:56]beware why because praying is associated with extreme extremists and you know
[29:03]these people that are too religious they might do something on a
[29:08]plane so stereotypical I had a friend who said that one day
[29:15]I was I was traveling and he was wearing the religious attire
[29:18]so he said an old lady was sitting next to me next
[29:23]to her husband who was sitting had at the ILC so he
[29:25]said they were whispering they were talking about me I didn't know
[29:31]what they were saying he said then the lady looked at me
[29:34]and she said can I ask you something I said absolutely she
[29:42]said look if you if you intend to do anything on this
[29:44]plane then just bear in mind we have a daughter who is
[29:50]waiting for us so please postpone any plans you have for the
[29:57]future anyway so the second option is to hide your identity and
[30:03]by the way thousands of Jews that escaped from thee from the
[30:08]tyranny of the Europeans in the late 1900s they migrated to America
[30:17]and they changed their names they opted for more westernized name why
[30:23]because their name revealed their Jewish identity and back then the level
[30:30]of anti-semitism in America was very high so in order for you
[30:34]to assimilate to integrate it to the society just don't reveal your
[30:41]identity just conceal your identity and this is not an option why
[30:46]because most of us as immigrants or the son of immigrants that
[30:50]came to America came to America because of Miss Liberty because of
[30:58]the second amendment because America was founded on the freedom of religion
[31:03]to exercise your religion freely because that wasn't the case in Europe
[31:08]so people came to America for this reason and if you conceal
[31:13]your identity you're negating the very purpose while you're living in America
[31:16]what we need to do is opt for the third option which
[31:20]is the Imam as an option the Imam has an option was
[31:27]that first of all you remain in the public sphere so that
[31:30]everyone can interact with you and in fact you expand your relationships
[31:36]you befriend more people so that people deal with a Muslim who
[31:44]is also a nice guy and this would change their perception of
[31:48]Islam but what we need to do is we need to exert
[31:55]the effort to be kind towards people extra kind towards people and
[31:59]believe me brothers and sisters this will change people's perception towards Islam
[32:05]it's so effective that they are trying to target - this option
[32:10]as well how whenever there is a terrorist attack certain media outlets
[32:14]that have this agenda to vilify Islam they interview the neighbors of
[32:20]that terrorist to portray him as as before the incident he was
[32:28]that nice neighbor that would say hi all the time to us
[32:30]you know I don't know what chain what what made him change
[32:35]all of a sudden so that every Muslim every peaceful Muslim would
[32:39]also be vilified but the fact of the matter people are not
[32:43]that dumb when you interact with a Muslim with a coworker at
[32:48]work wherever you are they know you're genuine they know you're honest
[32:53]and if you are successful in changing the perception of people towards
[33:00]Islam then you have contributed to God's divine project on earth sometimes
[33:07]when you work for a company one of the one of the
[33:13]conditions that they have is that you treat the customers with courtesy
[33:16]we smile in their face and not frown all the time because
[33:19]this will this will generate more money this will guarantee that this
[33:24]customer comes back again now if you become friendly an extra kind
[33:31]with people while not concealing your identity your name is Mohammad Hamid
[33:34]Allah Ali and you wear a job sister and you befriend them
[33:41]and you're friendly with them and you change their perception this will
[33:45]not generate more money for the company you work for for this
[33:49]will solidify your religion this will contribute in the spread of Islam
[33:54]or at least remove a hurdle a barrier for the people to
[34:02]embrace the religion of Islam now mom Hassan's clemency is known to
[34:07]everyone the way he treated his enemies the way he treated his
[34:12]wife who was one of his enemies the way he treated his
[34:17]own community that did not respect the Imam is is very famous
[34:21]said Allah subhana WA Ta'ala and you were others yalla tell Hassan
[34:25]and Mustafa why knock today be so naughty why no offical is
[34:30]er a TV idly dunya wash afar toph Allahu Alam a limb
[34:35]taken a tougher sell enough Imam Allah insha Allah Aman fell for
[34:39]Lena FEMA Burpee amen assalamualaikum wa sallam ala muhammadin wa elevator
