[0:34]i congratulate you all on the birth of our master the master
[0:42]of our affair muhammad i thought this video inshaallah can be a
[0:52]bit different um i thought that we can discuss things in a
[0:59]different manner usually you know we see many videos lectures and so
[1:03]on especially when it comes to the 15th of shaban you know
[1:07]they're talking about the birth of the imam they are talking about
[1:11]you know the reappearance of the imam what is our obligation the
[1:15]time of the occultation what we should do um how to serve
[1:19]the imam how to get closer to the imam different da's and
[1:24]things like that and of course these are needed so i thought
[1:28]i'll do something a bit different i thought maybe we can talk
[1:36]about reliable good books to refer back to so that the brothers
[1:40]and sisters themselves can actually have sources to go back to for
[1:44]them to read contemplate ponder over these narrations especially now with this
[1:50]whole covered pandemic that's happening around the world you know especially when
[1:55]it first happened people were talking about oh this is one of
[1:59]the major signs or this happened oh this is a major sign
[2:02]or this is the attributes of aliamani or sofiani and you see
[2:09]that um everyone's discussing these narrations and uh unfortunately i'm how do
[2:16]i say it it's a bit shocking because i'm seeing many brothers
[2:20]and sisters are narrating from books that are unreliable they are narrating
[2:26]from books that are from the nosaris and and it's getting a
[2:30]bit wild and you know sometimes they're even narrating from bihar anwar
[2:33]and as you know bihar and noir is a secondary source and
[2:37]majesty just gathered as much as he can and many times you
[2:42]see him say for example oh i found this report in a
[2:44]manuscript doesn't tell you what the manual script where it came from
[2:48]how it got to him or anything like that and so i
[2:52]thought maybe i can discuss um what are the sources to go
[2:56]back to or good books to go back to let's say and
[2:58]so that we can get the reliable sources and reliable narrations inshallah
[3:03]so one of the first books is written by my good friend
[3:11]um brother bilal muhammad i would like to call him sheikh bilal
[3:16]but he doesn't like that so i'll just say brother bilal um
[3:18]the book is called the rise of the time and you can
[3:23]find it on amazon it's a very good book he gathers basically
[3:27]all of the narrations that he can find from reliable sources and
[3:33]that are reliable now of course um i think it's actually a
[3:39]good thing um now of course some of the narrations in there
[3:42]i wouldn't necessarily think it's 100 reliable because of for example certain
[3:49]narrators um but he shows for example this is for example reliable
[3:56]because say the um is for example principle regarding i don't know
[4:00]um or because of this principle or something like that so he'll
[4:07]explain why he's um you know putting it in the book and
[4:10]give you explanation as to why it's reliable and for example you
[4:16]have an in another part where he shows he mentions bihar anwar
[4:18]now of course brother bilal is very alhamdulillah precise person but he
[4:23]mentions that and majesty mentions that this narrations from from the book
[4:29]kitab al-khaibar by and not many but he couldn't find it in
[4:35]kitab so maybe it was one of the specific manuscripts of al-qaeda
[4:37]by and not many that got to and majesty and that can
[4:43]happen as well um and i think i really love the way
[4:45]that he put the chapters together i really like how he didn't
[4:51]stick to just one standard of authenticating reports because as you know
[4:57]sometimes and majorly see for example differs with say the hawaii differs
[5:01]with you know and mamakani let's say or something along them lines
[5:06]so it wasn't just um you know one specific um standard no
[5:12]he was showing this is accepted because for example um and majorly
[5:18]says it's authentic or says that it's hassen or or something along
[5:22]them lines and i think that it's something very good it's not
[5:27]very expensive i do highly recommend that you buy it he's translated
[5:32]many uh reports that are from books that haven't been translated yet
[5:35]which is really good he is someone that is alhamdulillah very good
[5:42]at translating he's also translating now for um the other project that
[5:48]i'm helping with um which is a thaka lane app he's translating
[5:54]the book which is um for me probably one of the best
[6:00]books of hadith that we have i love the hadith in there
[6:06]the stories of the prophets and you know it's just a it's
[6:09]a great book all together so yeah the rise of al qaeda
[6:14]the rise of the i'm sorry is definitely a book i would
[6:18]recommend a very good book i really enjoyed reading it so i
[6:22]definitely recommend to go for that one um of course we do
[6:31]have the book alright by no mani i think alright atosi kamalin
[6:35]and others that discuss the whole topic of imam al-mahdi that have
[6:41]been translated but there's no authentication so this is a good book
[6:45]to go back to and now why am i saying to go
[6:46]to refer back to this now am i saying to you don't
[6:51]refer back to uh noir volume 51 52 and 53 that is
[6:58]um you know specifically for imam and mehti on the topic of
[7:04]mahdi we are no but i'm saying this is a good place
[7:07]to start because it will give you the foundation of what's actually
[7:12]correct because sometimes you know what people are narrating crazy things that
[7:15]literally contradict the authentic reports and we have to have a standard
[7:21]when it comes to hadith it can't just be oh this seems
[7:24]mysterious you know we all like love this whole mysterious thing oh
[7:28]this is mr oh this feels so good so i'm going to
[7:31]accept it now no it can't be like that we can't just
[7:34]accept something because it feels good or just because we think it's
[7:38]correct no there's a standard and there's a standard to um accepting
[7:42]hadith there's a standard of authenticating hadith also which is very important
[7:50]now in arabic we do have the book of our brother muhammad
[7:58]zakaria who is famously known as muhammad he is someone that has
[8:04]been in the front lines defending the school of athlete for over
[8:09]a decade i love his work he's a person of true um
[8:16]i've spoken to him a few times and truly a beautiful moment
[8:20]um he has written a book which is called al-saheer well but
[8:38]he's done it in the form of 40 a hadith as we
[8:42]have in um in our books and the books of sunnah about
[8:47]40 ahadith the importance of studying or memorizing let's say fuji ahadif
[8:56]so he's done it in that form it's a very good book
[9:03]and i very highly recommend that people refer back to it it's
[9:07]a very good book in in the sense that the way that
[9:10]he's put it together um the footnotes are very nice you know
[9:13]telling you who this narrator is why he's if he if there
[9:19]is like a discussion on him you know whether he's trustworthy or
[9:24]not why he goes with the opinion or he tells you for
[9:26]example because say that he said this or because this scholar said
[9:30]this so in that sense as well it's very good this is
[9:32]it's a bit like the rise of the of course the rise
[9:36]of the m has more narrations that are authentic by some of
[9:41]the standards of the scholars so um it's definitely a good book
[9:46]to refer back to um of course we also have here al
[9:53]ahadith by sheikh asif this book is of course eight volumes it's
[9:59]he gathers all of the narrations that he sees are to be
[10:02]authentic or reliable um in volume two he has um a chapter
[10:09]where discusses imam and mehti and you know it's a very good
[10:15]place to start off with as well because you know what's authentic
[10:19]what's not and what to um you know how to put things
[10:23]together because when it comes to this matter of imam sharif what's
[10:31]been happening is what i've realized you know what's happening here sometimes
[10:34]i hear my father saying the same thing as well is oh
[10:38]imam al-mahdi for example he's seen a report or you heard one
[10:43]of the lecturers say for example hadith and then he says oh
[10:47]like and then he's basically doing tatbeat of that narration with this
[10:52]time for example um you know reports about one of the major
[10:56]signs and then they want to basically say oh that means it's
[11:01]this because of the pandemic or because of this um general got
[11:08]killed or because this person became a king and i think this
[11:11]is where we go into danger because we are basically um trying
[11:19]to apply the narrations without actually having 100 proof to apply it
[11:25]to the different circumstances that are occurring the narrations regarding the major
[11:29]signs of the imam are narrations that are messiah they are matters
[11:38]of the unseen so we can't just oh apply it here apply
[11:41]it when it happens it happens and if you read the narrations
[11:45]of the fathers or the forefathers of imam al-mahdi you would know
[11:50]what to look out for and how you will distinguish between imam
[11:54]al-mahdi the true imam already and someone trying to be imam mehdi
[11:59]and how you can distinguish between alyamania sufyani and you know the
[12:04]lies among the shia the truthful among the shias and all of
[12:08]these things and that's why it's important that we go back to
[12:15]reliable authentic sources and also go back to reliable hadith that explain
[12:20]to us these matters and give us the foundation now of course
[12:23]i'm not saying completely reject all weak narrations no there is a
[12:31]system a methodology a standard of how to um use these weak
[12:34]narrations but it has to be based off narrations in most cases
[12:41]so inshallah um this short video has benefited you brothers and sisters
[12:45]forgive me for my shortcomings don't forget me from your daughters i
[12:49]always need your ass and insha'allah to allah we can start to
[12:55]slowly strive and uh correct ourselves so that we can strive for
[12:59]the imam and serve the imam and the correct man and the
[13:02]manner that he wants us to serve inshallah may allah unite may
[13:10]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala return us all to the loom of ali
[13:17]muhammad the ulum of the quran the alum so that we can
[13:24]be upon the path of salvation muhammad
