[0:04][Music] once upon a time an old and respectful man had an

[0:19]ice cream shop in a city filled with muslims but the man

[0:22]wasn't a muslim the ice cream shop was a famous spot in

[0:24]the city it was once one of the busiest ice cream shops

[0:28]the man lived among muslims happily until one day a muslim man

[0:33]opened an ice cream shop right across the street from the man

[0:36]all he cared about was making money and attracting people to his

[0:40]shop the man tried his best to compete with this non-muslim brother

[0:43]but he failed terribly because people already knew him and he sold

[0:48]grey ice cream after trying to compete and failing the muslim man

[0:52]decided that the only thing that would attract people to him was

[0:55]that he shared the same religion as them he started convincing people

[0:58]not to go to the old man's shop and that they should

[1:02]avoid buying from non-muslims everyone is affected by the man's words and

[1:06]they listen to the muslim brother and stop buying from the non-muslim

[1:11]the old man's business was becoming very slow he began to worry

[1:15]because he had a family to feed and he needed to pay

[1:17]his bills until one day the old man had an idea in

[1:21]that same city lived a sayyid who was a scholar this scholar

[1:25]was highly respected between the people of that city because of his

[1:29]knowledge his manners and he cared for everyone who lived there the

[1:32]man went and visited the syed and explained what had happened to

[1:36]him and that his business because of the actions of his neighbors

[1:38]went down the saiyan calmed him down and assured him that he

[1:43]will take care of it the syed decided to go to the

[1:47]city and see what people had been up to as soon as

[1:50]anyone saw him they would run up to him and greet him

[1:52]they loved his company after a few minutes many people surrounded the

[1:58]sayyid he walked to the old man's ice cream shop sat outside

[2:00]and ordered an ice cream he then walked across the street and

[2:04]advised the muslim man to refrain from his native behaviors people were

[2:10]surprised by the sadie's actions and took him as an example they

[2:15]realized that you don't need to share the same faith to respect

[2:18]one another perhaps this sayed was a true follower of imam ali

[2:23]alayhi salaam who once said a person is either your brother in

[2:27]faith or your equal in humanity perhaps he was a true lover

[2:30]of imam hussain who dealt the same way with his companions regardless

[2:34]of their differences karbala was a battle for all the people of

[2:39]the world not just for muslims it was a battle for christians

[2:42]and black people because they also fought alongside imam al-hussein it was

[2:48]a battle for truth for an end on discrimination for justice that's

[2:54]what john and wahhab fought for sometimes you have friends that love

[3:06]you and take good care of your heart they stand for what

[3:09]you believe in and support your morals think of the friends that

[3:14]love for you to be on the path of allah the ones

[3:16]that refuse to enter heaven without you now imagine those who stood

[3:22]by the messenger of allah in tough times and believed in him

[3:26]because they knew it was their lord's guidance how much must allah

[3:32]love them how much must their imam have loved them imam hussain

[3:36]had many loyal friends that he could count on he knew where

[3:41]their hearts were and could see their devotion to allah two of

[3:45]the most devout friends of imam hussain were john and wahab having

[3:50]two different stories but both ending on the same path they had

[3:55]many kinds of love in their hearts but some that stood out

[3:59]on the tenth of muharram were the love for justice and the

[4:03]love for their imam and this love drove them to the heavens

[4:07]john was a black man who served albeit and when imam hussein

[4:13]was about to embark on his journey to karbala he joined on

[4:17]the evening of ashura he approached imam hussain begging him to give

[4:23]him permission to fight john you have come to karbala under my

[4:26]wing you have come here asking for goodness do not feel obligated

[4:33]to follow our path o son of the prophet and goodness i

[4:38]take refuge with you and in hard times i flee from your

[4:41]path allow me to follow your path toward heaven so i be

[4:44]your grandfather's companion near allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala i shall never leave you

[4:50]until my blood gets shed with bani hashem's blood my master john

[4:55]proceeded with the permission of imam hussein he fought as much as

[5:01]he could on his own and his story ends in heaven as

[5:04]imam hussain walked towards his frail body he told him o allah

[5:10]keep him among your loved servants and among muhammad and his family

[5:16]peace be upon them but the story of love continues as heaven

[5:22]awaits its soldiers imam hussain did not let color or social status

[5:26]dictate who his friends were and who would fight for islam what

[5:31]dictated it was their love and devotion imam hussain knew where their

[5:38]hearts were wahab was a christian companion who came with his mother

[5:42]he became a muslim under the hands of imam hussein oh my

[5:48]dear son go and make me proud in front of sayadaw fatima

[5:52]the enemy shall fear your very step on that battlefield you are

[5:57]of the arabs and they are known for their willpower and might

[6:00]the enemy is joined in thousands and we are fewer than 100

[6:05]soldiers o mother in a battlefield like this one should not rely

[6:09]on the most skilled knights of the world one must rely on

[6:13]the weapon of love which is the strongest weapon o mother o

[6:21]is why he chose us on the path of the family of

[6:26]the prophet you are the helper of the light of saida fatima's

[6:30]eyes imam hussain go on o son you have been chosen to

[6:35]be in the heavens wahab went on his path toward the enemy

[6:40]he took his body toward the battlefield and left his heart with

[6:47]hussein from the darkness of your hearts your faces have become black

[6:49]carrying no light are you aware of the dangers of your actions

[6:54]you block the roads in the face of the grandson of the

[6:59]prophet and for what did he commit a crime against you did

[7:02]he force something that was not rightfully yours i swear by allah

[7:08]if you don't stop you will not see any mercy until the

[7:11]day of judgment you quit lecturing and bragging who are you i

[7:16]am wahab eben abdullah upon seeing the religion of hussein and his

[7:21]faith and actions i fell in love with it and followed his

[7:26]path i swear by allah prophet isa yearns for the meeting of

[7:30]arunam mother young boy the biggest sign to the failure of hussein's

[7:36]message is that he sent a christian man to fight among us

[7:39]shimmer sent a soldier to fight wahab he fought with all his

[7:46]might and killed many soldiers that were sent his way when shimmer

[7:49]began feeling like he was getting defeated he sent men with large

[7:55]metal rods that struck wahab in the chest fell to the ground

[8:00]was still taking his last breath when shimmer ordered his men to

[8:06]hang wahab on a cross to symbolize his death as a christian

[8:09]among hussein's army after all that omar ibn assad ordered that they

[8:15]cut his head and send it to his mother when she received

[8:19]her son's head wahb's mother held his head and marched towards the

[8:24]enemy and gave back his head saying this is not from our

[8:29]manners that we take back something that was given in the way

[8:32]of allah subhanahu wa tahadah christian or black their hearts were the

[8:36]same they both left their bodies on the lands of this dry

[8:42]earth and soared in the highest heavens with their imam this was

[8:46]the message of humanity that 72 died for for the safety of

[8:53]every human's dignity islam and allah are not just for muslims they

[8:56]are for all of mankind and what is a man that fought

[9:04]for islam and allah but a man for all of mankind you
