[0:04][Music] one day an old man came to medina at the time

[0:20]of prayers he began to make wudu but he was making his

[0:25]wudu incorrectly imam al-hasan and imam al-hussein alaihi who were young children

[0:31]at that time saw the man making his wudu they knew it

[0:35]was necessary to teach the old man the right way of making

[0:41]wudu however if it was directly mentioned to him that his wudu

[0:44]was incorrect not only he would have felt hurt or insulted but

[0:48]also he would have had an unpleasant memory about wudu imam al-hassan

[0:54]and imam al-hussein thought to mention his mistake in an indirect way

[0:58]and came up with a plan at first they started arguing with

[1:04]each other and the old man was listening to them one of

[1:09]them said my way if you do is more perfect than yours

[1:11]the other one said no my wudu is more perfect than yours

[1:16]then they reached an agreement that both would perform wudu before the

[1:22]old man who would be the judge they went to the old

[1:26]man and said my brother and i disagree over which one of

[1:30]us performs we do the best would you mind watching us make

[1:33]wudu and be the judge the man watched carefully trying to judge

[1:38]who is better the boys performed their wudu under his supervision one

[1:43]after the other when they had finished he realized the wudu done

[1:48]by the boys was perfect and correct it was his own wudu

[1:54]which was incorrect the old man was deeply impressed with the sincerity

[1:58]and intelligence of the children turning to imam al-hasan and imam al-hussein

[2:03]alaihi he gently said your wudu is correct and perfect it is

[2:08]because of the love and affection you have for the ummah of

[2:11]your grandfather prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam that you have guided me

[2:17]in such a beautiful manner thank you so much my dear imam

[2:24]hussain this old man has known you as a child and i'm

[2:26]unsure if he was still alive to witness your love and affection

[2:31]for the ummah of your grandfather and the last moments of your

[2:35]life when you stood all alone in the middle of the battlefield

[2:39]against evil and wrongdoers to protect the religion of islam tonight our

[2:44]hearts and the hearts of all children are in pain as we

[2:48]remember you peace be upon you [Music] the evil seeds which led

[2:58]to the tragedy of karbala were planted years before by an evil

[3:02]ruler called mohawiyah he was the son of abu sufyan and hind

[3:08]both of which were main enemies of the holy prophet under mahawya's

[3:16]rule shias were put to death or thrown into prisons just because

[3:20]they were followers of imam ali and the ahlul he died in

[3:27]the year 60 after hijrah before his death he appointed his son

[3:31]yazid as the next ruler yazid was even worse than his father

[3:39]he was corrupt and openly mocked islam he was often drunk in

[3:43]sing songs which made jokes of salah the holy prophet and his

[3:46]family as soon as yazid became the ruler he sent a letter

[3:52]to the governor in the city of medina informing him of his

[3:56]father's death and said take the oath of allegiance from the people

[4:01]of medina be tough with hussein when you require him to accept

[4:07]me as the leader and if he refuses kill him and send

[4:10]his head to me imam hussain could not even consider accepting such

[4:15]an evil man yazid who openly broke the laws of islam and

[4:20]was determined to destroy islam as a leader how can the grandson

[4:26]of the holy prophet son of ali and fatima allow that to

[4:30]happen when he met the governor and was requested to give the

[4:34]oath of allegiance imam hussain said we are the family of the

[4:40]holy prophet and where the message of islam was received with us

[4:44]allah brought the religion of islam and with us allah ensures the

[4:49]religion of islam spreads while yazid is a man who drinks alcohol

[4:53]kills innocent people and openly commits sins someone like me does not

[4:58]give allegiance to someone like him it was the imam's duty to

[5:04]defend and save islam he refused to accept yazid as a leader

[5:08]of islam yazid was very angry and planned to kill the imam

[5:16]in medina later that night imam hussain salam visited the grave of

[5:22]the holy prophet sallallahu alaihi a beam of light spread out from

[5:28]the grave for him he then said peace be upon you o

[5:31]messenger of allah i am hussein the son of fatima and your

[5:38]grandson who you appointed to take charge of your nation testify o

[5:42]prophet of allah that they betrayed me and did not protect my

[5:46]right this is my complaint to you until i meet you imam

[5:51]hussain alaihis salaam stayed the whole night praying and prostrating next to

[5:55]the grave of the prophet he prayed to allah oh allah this

[6:01]is the grave of your prophet muhammad and i am the grandson

[6:07]of your prophet you are fully aware of what has come down

[6:10]to me my lord i love righteousness and i hate evil i

[6:14]ask you in the sake of the one who is buried here

[6:17]that you choose to me whatever you and your prophet are pleased

[6:23]with imam hussain alaihissalam broke down into tears until he fell asleep

[6:28]on the grave he saw a dream where the prophet sallallahu alaihi

[6:32]wa'ala was smiling at him he sees his father ali alayhis salaam

[6:37]his mother fatima alayhis salaam and his brother hassan alaihis salaam welcoming

[6:44]him the prophet tells him you must seek martyrdom before you join

[6:50]us this is destined for you when imam hassan alaihissalam woke up

[6:54]he knew the time for sacrifice had come he was informed about

[7:00]this since he was a child imam hussain alaihis salaam goes back

[7:06]to his family it was time to leave the city of medina

[7:09]he took his family members the sons of imam al-hassan his sister

[7:15]sayada zainab his sons and several of his daughters a few other

[7:23]relatives and a number of faithful companions imam hussein had a very

[7:29]young daughter called fatima history records her name as fatima alilah because

[7:36]she was too ill to live with the imam's caravan she saw

[7:41]her brothers and sisters going with imam hussain and was very sad

[7:45]that she wasn't going with them imam al-hussein told her my daughter

[7:51]there's no way you can make the journey through the desert like

[7:57]this you have to stay here stay with um she'll take care

[7:59]of you oh my father you know how much i love my

[8:03]baby brother abdullah can you at least leave him and medina and

[8:06]not take him with the caravan my daughter how can i leave

[8:11]him with you his mother needs to take care for him and

[8:13]feed him she realized that she was going to be alone when

[8:18]the imam was leaving she looked at him sadly and said father

[8:24]are you going to come back what could the imam say how

[8:31]can he tell her the truth finally the imam said my daughter

[8:37]be patient and made his way towards mecca a new chapter in

[8:47]the journey of saying begins you
