[0:00]In the month where hearts soften and heavens open, let your Ramadan
[0:08]charity rest beside Imam Hussein Ali.
[0:09]Through a 72 Saddak Aaria, place a holy Quran and the Zarat
[0:16]book in the holy shrine.
[0:16]bearing the names of those you love, remembered with every recitation and
[0:22]prayers by the zoo.
[0:24]Documented from the shrine and returned to you in images and videos.
[0:30]Some Ramadan deeds end with the moon, but this one continues to
[0:36]serve forever.
[0:36]WhatsApp our carbal office now to partake and a sponsor.
[0:46]Hey, hey, hey.
[1:21]In the name of God, the most beneficent, the most merciful.
[1:25]All praise is due to Allah, master of all the worlds.
[1:30]And peace and blessings be on all his prophets and especially the
[1:34]final prophet, the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi.
[1:36]My respected brothers and sisters, why did I im Ali if he
[1:45]is the ultimate source of knowledge, ultimate source of ethics and morality
[1:50]anger fat zaham?
[1:52]Indeed, this is a question that has been posed by many.
[1:56]And when we look throughout Sunni literature, we find that the story
[2:01]of Im Ali angering Fat Zah occupies a very prominent position.
[2:05]It's unbelievable when you look at virtually any of the Sah that
[2:11]the story is not just mentioned once or twice.
[2:12]It's often repeated as if there is a campaign against Im Ali.
[2:17]Now I've always said that the base of Sunni Islam apart from
[2:20]the normal beliefs that everyone expects of a Muslim is rejection of
[2:24]Imam's authority or as being the ultimate source of authority after the
[2:33]holy prophet peace be upon him's family.
[2:33]Anyone who attacks Imam Ali, angers Imam Ali, fights Imam Ali, all
[2:40]of them can still find a way to reaching Jenna.
[2:44]And I'm sure you can name quite a few of these.
[2:45]And one may argue, well, the Kawar didn't get away with it.
[2:49]Some of the Kawar narrators still made it into the Sah.
[2:51]So even they found a pass somehow with their hatred of Im
[2:57]Ali.
[2:56]But this particular issue of Imam Ali angering Fatham is a very
[3:02]important issue because it covers a lot of basis for Sunni Islam.
[3:05]Now the Shia might turn around and say there's no way that
[3:09]I im Ali would anger Fataham.
[3:10]It's impossible.
[3:12]They had the best relationship and Shia centers throughout the world will
[3:17]always hear the lectures about how they are the role models when
[3:19]it comes to being married, the best of examples for anyone who's
[3:23]married in the world today.
[3:26]Yet when I open Bkari and I open Muslim and I open
[3:28]others of the Sah I see a slightly different picture and a
[3:34]different portrayal of the marriage of Im Ali with Fat Zah to
[3:36]the one that we may have.
[3:39]And again it comes back to a central point.
[3:40]The Shia IM Ali and the Sunni Im Ali are two completely
[3:44]different people.
[3:46]Now there may be some overlap somewhere there.
[3:47]There is a respect for knowledge, a respect for judgment.
[3:51]Eventually, finally, he's called the fourth califf who's rightly guided and we
[3:55]thank them for that and really appreciate it.
[3:59]But the reality is that any chance there is for a person
[4:01]to have a stab on the character of Imam Ali, it is
[4:07]taken straight away.
[4:06]And if anyone performs it in fighting or disagreeing with Imam Ali,
[4:10]they can still find a way to Jenna.
[4:12]Let's welcome this interesting topic tonight with Shehakeim explaining to us in
[4:19]clip number one the problem between Ali and Fatama and the story
[4:28]behind it.
[4:25]Please play clip number one.
[4:30]a lot of the Muslims know about is that the prophetat wasam
[4:38]prohibited Ali from taking a second wife and they always spread this
[4:47]among the people saying oh look if the prophet prohibited Ali from
[4:51]taking a second wife then you my son-in-law are not allowed to
[4:55]take a second wife and your wife has all the right to
[5:00]be mad and jealous and refuse this and that.
[5:03]This is misunderstood incident.
[5:07]You have to look into the hadith and understand it as the
[5:13]scholars had and not improvise or come up with opinions that are
[5:21]baseless.
[5:19]The story goes that the family of Abu Jahal, the pharaoh of
[5:27]this ummah and the enemy of Islam and the Muslims proposed to
[5:34]Ali to marry the daughter of Abu Jahal.
[5:39]So he was contemplating about it and when this reached the prophetat
[5:47]wasam he became angry and he addressed the people saying that my
[5:53]first son-in-law Abdul Rabir proposed and was truthful to me and fulfilled
[6:01]his pledge to me meaning he did not take another wife over
[6:05]his daughter Zanab.
[6:06]May Allah be pleased with her.
[6:08]And now I hear that Ali wants to combine the daughter of
[6:16]the messenger of Allah that is Fatima alongside the daughter of the
[6:20]enemy of Allah the daughter of Abu Jah.
[6:23]By Allah this hurts Fatima and whatever hurts Fatima hurts me as
[6:35]she is part of me and a flesh of mine.
[6:38]By Allah, I do not make halal haram or haram halal.
[6:43]Meaning that marriage is halal.
[6:45]I'm not making it prohibited.
[6:47]But due to the fact that hurting Fatima hurts the prophet and
[6:55]we know that hurting the prophetam is an act of apostasy.
[6:59]>> Therefore, the prophetam prevented such a marriage due to the reasons
[7:06]that he had given you very very interesting because what we pick
[7:15]up firstly from the hadith is that the statement fatam is a
[7:20]part of me whoever angers her angers me emerges from this particular
[7:24]hadith or incident in Sunni literature many of us always hear this
[7:28]in lectures especially in the circuit every we always hear is a
[7:34]part of me whoever angers her angers me and it is in
[7:36]Sunni literature Yes, without a doubt it's in Sunni literature, but the
[7:39]context of it is somewhat different from what we expect.
[7:43]All of a sudden, Sheh Assam is being asked the question and
[7:46]it's a very VALID QUESTION.
[7:48]SOMEONE'S SAYING to him that I want to uh prevent my uh
[7:51]son-in-law from having another wife and um and how do I do
[7:55]it because I want to use the fact that the prophet pre
[7:58]prevented his son-in-law from having another wife.
[8:00]And now here's a problem for Sheh because she is thinking, "Hold
[8:03]on a minute.
[8:05]Is the prophet now instituted a law in relation to his daughter
[8:10]Fatama which is not applicable to everybody else because the whole incident
[8:15]is a very interesting incident.
[8:16]Fatam and Ali are married.
[8:21]Ali suddenly wants to get married again and of all families Ali
[8:24]wants Abu Jahed's daughter who Asam quite interestingly mentions as the pharaoh
[8:30]of this ummah.
[8:32]That's a very valid description.
[8:32]So I im Ali Alisam's now got it in his head and
[8:36]we're going to come to the traditions right now so that we
[8:37]can see what's going on.
[8:39]Imam Ali's got in his head that I want to marry Abu
[8:42]Jah's daughter.
[8:44]Allah finds out he's got super angry and now the hadith emerges
[8:48]is a part of me.
[8:51]Whoever angers her angers me.
[8:51]Now for many they may think to themselves, hold a minute.
[8:56]So you're telling me the context is not as we imagined?
[8:57]We thought the context would be something as basic as well fata
[9:02]what would be the best act for a woman and she would
[9:03]reply simply what is the best act for a woman and then
[9:05]he would say something like fat is a part of me whoever
[9:07]angers angers me no let's open the sah so that we're introduced
[9:14]to this dramatic story in the marriage of Imam Ali and Zaham
[9:17]come with me over here let's go to sah albkari my dear
[9:22]brothers and sisters join me over here alkari the translations of the
[9:25]meanings of sah bkari Arabic English volume 5 a hadith 3849 to
[9:31]4473.
[9:31]Let's go straight away over here.
[9:35]My dear brothers and sisters and we'll see the traditions in relation
[9:39]to this story.
[9:39]Obviously we always start off with a lovely tradition in relation to
[9:42]Fat Zaham clearly in Sunni literature.
[9:45]All of you can look over here.
[9:50]We come to hadith number 3767.
[9:51]Why do we adore Fatama?
[9:51]Why do we admire Fatama?
[9:55]We of course revere her higher than anybody else in the Muslim
[10:00]world.
[10:00]There is nobody who comes near her for us because we see
[10:03]a hadith like this page 74.
[10:06]My dear brothers and sisters, all of you can see over here
[10:10]page number 74 and we see chapter 29 chapter the merits of
[10:14]the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasall is the chief mistress of the woman
[10:26]in paradise.
[10:23]That's why I take fatam as the highest woman to have ever
[10:29]lived.
[10:30]All of these ladies, mashallah, inshallah more ladies make it into Jenna.
[10:34]And inshallah Jenna is full of ladies and full of the most
[10:36]greatest of ladies.
[10:38]But the chief is who is here all of you can see
[10:45]that when someone then comes to you and says so why do
[10:47]you she rever her so high?
[10:50]Why do you place her above every other lady?
[10:50]I look here and it's clear as day to me.
[10:54]But then in that same chapter I come across the hadith that
[11:00]we all know.
[11:02]I come over here in that same chapter to hadith number 3,714
[11:07]and straight away I see over here the chain of the narrations
[11:13]until I get to.
[11:26]This narration has come to us from this name that many probably
[11:31]have never heard of in their life.
[11:33]The person by the name of Misar, the son of Mama Fat
[11:39]is a part of me and he who makes her angry makes
[11:42]me angry.
[11:43]Here in this section of Bkari, all we see is the hadith
[11:48]that we're all accustomed to a part of me.
[11:52]Whoever makes her angry makes me angry.
[11:53]For the first time, we're introduced to this narrator of hadith by
[11:58]the name of Misar bin Mak which already in our thinking caps
[12:02]we should already start thinking well who is this man who's the
[12:08]narrator of this hadith in relation to Fatama is a part of
[12:10]me whoever angers her angers me.
[12:12]So I see over here in Bkari and then when I look
[12:15]in Muslim there is further exploration of this hadith.
[12:19]Come with me over here.
[12:20]The English translation of Sah Muslim compiled by Imam Abdul Hussein Muslim
[12:27]Hajisuri volume number six from hadith number 5646 to 6722.
[12:32]A hadith edited and referenced by Abu Tah translated by in Canada.
[12:41]Final review by who?
[12:41]By Abu Khal.
[12:43]First edition August 2007.
[12:46]supervised by Abd Malik Mujah.
[12:50]Again all of you can see Dam.
[12:52]I want us to all go please to which section to the
[12:56]section 6307 so that we see the full tradition and what exactly
[13:01]is being said and again we come to something which opens it
[13:07]up for us a little more.
[13:08]Let's see chapter 15.
[13:08]The virtues of fatam may Allah be pleased with her.
[13:16]The daughter of the prophet 630793244 nine.
[13:18]Over here we can see the chain of the narrators again until
[13:24]we come to who?
[13:23]Until we come over here to Okay.
[13:47]All of you can see over here.
[13:51]Look over here.
[14:07]Let's see over here what's written.
[14:10]We have over here misw again is in the picture and he
[14:15]heard the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi say on the memb.
[14:19]Now the messenger of Allah saying on the membar means that there
[14:25]is blatantly an announcement being made in public is bringing the family
[14:31]issue to the memb.
[14:31]I'm going to tell the whole of Medina what's going on at
[14:37]home.
[14:37]And this must be something super serious that the prophet really wants
[14:41]to expose Ali badly.
[14:42]Forget Ali is from me and I'm from Ali.
[14:45]Forget knowing Ali, loving Ali is a sign of faith.
[14:49]I'm going to expose him.
[14:49]I want everyone to ridicule Ali.
[14:51]And Mesus Bkari and Muslim can't wait to take this into their
[14:56]literature.
[14:57]So many other things are being missed, but this one will never
[14:59]be missed.
[15:01]Let's come back over here.
[15:01]So the prophets on me okay now there's a meist being given
[15:07]on me and it says Benu asked me for permission to give
[15:10]their daughter in marriage to the daughter some say her name was
[15:14]Joy the daughter of Abu Jah okay but I will not give
[15:20]them permission I will not give them permission I will not give
[15:23]them permission unless the son of Abu Talib would like to divorce
[15:29]my daughter and marry their daughter.
[15:32]My daughter is a part of me.
[15:35]What disturbs her disturbs me and what offends her offends me.
[15:42]Now not only there's an issue at home but the prophet peace
[15:49]be upon him his family is pretty much in this whole issue
[15:52]going against Quran and going against even one may argue according to
[15:57]the narrator even going against the moral decency of the household Quran
[16:02]wise how is the prophet peace be upon him and his family
[16:06]going against the holy Quran because the holy Quran the last time
[16:08]I checked and I think every single Muslims checked this and nobody
[16:11]nobody in the Muslim world doesn't know this fact.
[16:14]Especially men, you can marry four wives.
[16:16]And if I im Ali Alisam is married to somebody, he still
[16:22]got the chance to marry another three.
[16:24]Now the holy prophet peace be upon his family instead of letting
[16:29]this application and we know that he's given himself a special dispensation
[16:33]or the lord's given him a dispensation in terms of more than
[16:36]four.
[16:36]But then when it comes to Im Ali Alisam, all of a
[16:40]sudden we have a situation.
[16:40]You're not allowed to marry anyone else unless you divorce Fatama.
[16:45]I'm not allowing this.
[16:49]Fatama is a part of me.
[16:50]Whoever angers her angers me.
[16:53]Therefore, we see exactly in the next hadith 6308.
[16:57]It was narrated that Masb said the messenger of Allah said is
[17:06]a part of me.
[17:05]What offends her offends me.
[17:07]So we have here another narration in Muslim.
[17:10]Did it just stop there?
[17:13]No.
[17:13]Ib Maja thought, you know what?
[17:14]I've got to include this as well.
[17:16]If Bkari and Muslim include this, then I've got to include this
[17:18]as well.
[17:19]Come with me over here.
[17:19]The Sunn of Ib Maj, the sixth correct tradition of the prophetic
[17:23]sunnah translated by Muhammad Mahi Sharif, English Arabic text, volume 2.
[17:32]All of you come here with me.
[17:37]Year 2008, printed in Lebanon, the first edition.
[17:38]And all of you can clearly see over here.
[17:41]If we go to 1998 again, we will see what's happening here.
[17:47]But look at the title of the chapter.
[17:49]This chapter's got an amazing title.
[17:50]Everybody's got to check the title of the chapter.
[17:53]Can you come over here?
[17:53]So, it's the book of marriage.
[17:56]All right.
[17:55]Page 111 of the book of marriage here on the top.
[18:00]And if you come to the title, what about jealousy?
[18:05]Nice title.
[18:04]Jealousy.
[18:05]What about jealousy?
[18:08]Okay.
[18:09]So obviously the first hadith uh about jealousy is there.
[18:12]It's narrated on the authority of Abu Hurrah.
[18:15]Although we can see 1996 um it's narrated on the authority of
[18:18]Abuer and he said that the messenger of Allah said out of
[18:22]the kinds of jealousy there is such as Allah likes and such
[18:24]as Allah dislikes as to what Allah what he likes.
[18:27]It is the jealousy caused by the portance of suspicion and as
[18:30]to that which he dislikes is the jealousy caused by no suspicion.
[18:34]So we always introduce with Abu hadith and then we come over
[18:38]here to hadith number 1998.
[18:38]So now we got to look at the most jealous person you're
[18:42]ever going to see and that's Imam.
[18:45]All right Z their marriage is a marriage of jealousy.
[18:49]Look at the Sunni Im Ali and the Shia IM Ali.
[18:52]Look, I've got to be super clear about this because sometimes people
[18:54]if you say Sunni Im Ali IM Ali sometimes say, "Oh, this
[18:59]is sectarian.
[18:58]You know, it's the holy month of Ramadan.
[19:00]We should all be hugging each other and, you know, maybe, you
[19:02]know, praying together and so on and breaking fast together.
[19:06]Do all of those things.
[19:07]Do them.
[19:08]You know, no one's stopping you.
[19:09]It's a free world.
[19:11]But you've also got to come to a realization one day that
[19:14]the Imam Ali portrayed in Sunnia literature is not our im Ali.
[19:17]Look over here 1998.
[19:20]It's nar narrated again on the authority of this character is back
[19:27]again that he said I heard the messenger of Allah having said
[19:35]while being on the pulpit the sons of Hashim or the sons
[19:40]of Hisham Mu asked for my permission to give their daughter to
[19:43]Ali son of Abu Talib in marriage and I'm not to give
[19:48]them permission I'm not to give them permission.
[19:53]I'm not to give them permission.
[19:56]Unless son of Abu Ali likes to divorce my daughter Fatma first
[19:59]and then marry their daughter for she Fatama is a part of
[20:04]me.
[20:05]That which troubles her troubles me and that which harms her also
[20:12]harms me.
[20:12]All of you can see over here.
[20:16]Look at 1999.
[20:15]It's narrated again on the authority of one of the most famous
[20:19]companions of Sah one of the most reliable in authority al-Mb that
[20:28]Ali demanded the hand of the daughter of Abu Jahal and he
[20:33]had Fat the daughter of the messenger of Allah with him as
[20:39]his wife.
[20:37]Fatma heard of this and went to Allah's apostle Sam saying listen
[20:46]to Fatma's language to her father okay your people think that you
[20:53]do not become angry for the sake of your daughters and this
[20:57]is and this Ali this is Ali he is now going to
[21:02]marry the daughter of Abu Jahal I just want to repeat that
[21:07]line again Everybody just bear with me.
[21:09]Let's just repeat this line again.
[21:12]Fat Zara is talking to her dad and she tells him like
[21:16]a classic troublemaker.
[21:18]That's the portrayal of Fatan.
[21:21]You know the one who's causing fitna in the house.
[21:25]Come back here.
[21:27]Your people think that you don't become angry for the sake of
[21:30]your daughters.
[21:32]And this is Ali.
[21:35]He's now going to marry the daughter of Abu Jahal.
[21:39]In other words, my dear brothers and sisters, what are you going
[21:41]to do about it?
[21:43]You're the prophet of God.
[21:44]This man's going to marry someone else.
[21:45]What are you going to do about it?
[21:46]People's going to think you don't care.
[21:48]And we know that the prophet used to always say, peace be
[21:51]upon him, his family, the best of you is the best to
[21:52]his family and I'm the best to my family.
[21:56]Come back here on that Allah's apostle sallallahu alaihi got up and
[22:05]after reciting there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is
[22:08]the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi heard him saying to go further
[22:12]I married one of my daughters to the husband of Zanab the
[22:20]daughter of the prophet as we know the prophet peace be upon
[22:22]him's family according to scholars had four daughters Zanab And you see
[22:30]over here to go further, I married one of my daughters to
[22:34]and he proved truthful in whatever he said to me.
[22:40]No doubt is a part of me.
[22:43]I hate to see her being put to trial.
[22:48]If you look over here, I hate to see is being put
[22:57]to trial by Allah.
[23:01]And I just want to just underline this.
[23:03]I hate to see Fatama being put to trial.
[23:06]This is one to come back to inshallah.
[23:10]By Allah, the daughter of Allah's apostle and the daughter of Allah's
[23:16]enemy cannot be wives of one man.
[23:23]So Ali gave up that engagement.
[23:26]Ib Maj is interesting because Bkari and Muslim don't necessarily go in
[23:32]the same depth as Ibin Maj.
[23:34]Ib Maj goes into extreme depth in telling us that Fatama becomes
[23:38]angry.
[23:38]One may argue with the prophet that what are you doing for
[23:42]your daughters?
[23:41]People are going to start making a rumor about you that you
[23:45]don't care about us.
[23:45]And then the prophet begins to say things which go against the
[23:49]men of the religion of Islam which for us is absolutely impossible
[23:54]because the prophet is Islam walking.
[23:58]The prophet peace be upon him is the embodiment of the religion.
[24:02]How many times do we hear people saying that you don't respect
[24:04]the holy prophet peace be upon his family?
[24:05]Wallah if it we're the ones who don't want to call him
[24:10]an epileptic who's delirious on a mountain and suicidal about to jump
[24:13]off.
[24:13]We are the ones who try and look after his character.
[24:15]We're not the ones who say Shaitan may affect me.
[24:17]I might be bewitched.
[24:18]I don't know what's going on today.
[24:19]We're not the ones who look at his moral conduct in his
[24:23]bedroom, in his house.
[24:22]Stop being apologetic.
[24:24]I say this message to the Shia.
[24:26]I don't care about anybody else.
[24:27]You want to listen.
[24:29]You don't want to listen.
[24:30]It's up to you.
[24:29]But to the Shia, don't be apologetic when it comes to your
[24:34]holy prophet and the way we've looked after him.
[24:37]I know the trolls will always troll us and the keyboard warriors
[24:39]will always troll us but we will always be the first to
[24:42]defend our prophet peace be upon because I argue that the hadith
[24:48]in Bkari and Muslim and Ib Maj when I seek to discuss
[24:50]it I'm first defending sai before I'm defending Im Ali and Fatim
[24:58]I'm defending the holy prophet peace be upon him his family why
[25:02]because since when did the holy prophet peace be upon him his
[25:04]family come out in public and try and ridicule Im Ali Alisam
[25:10]since when did the prophet try and change the laws of the
[25:13]Quran?
[25:12]I'm just going to give you one example as I break this
[25:15]down before we get to this unbelievable narrator who really wants to
[25:18]be involved in this as we would say in Arabic and this
[25:22]fight we would say in English and that is Miswar.
[25:26]We'll come to him shortly.
[25:26]The point I'd like to mention is if in this hadith of
[25:30]Ib Maja we come down over here.
[25:31]If it says by Allah, the daughter of Allah's apostle and the
[25:36]daughter of Allah's enemy cannot be wives of one man.
[25:38]I ask the narrator a question.
[25:44]The prophet married Omhabiba.
[25:45]The prophet peace be upon him and his family married Omhabiba.
[25:51]Omhabiba was the daughter of who?
[25:53]Omhiba was the daughter of Abu Sufyan.
[25:58]Omh Habiba's husband in Abisia had apostated and left Islam to Christianity.
[26:03]The holy prophet peace be upon him's family married Omhabiba the daughter
[26:08]of Abu Sufyan sister of Muawia daughter of Hind and Hind.
[26:13]Now when I look at this if now remember we're talking aith
[26:22]late medina for example okay marrieshabib a daughter of Abufan if the
[26:28]enemy of the prophet of Allah if his daughter cannot be with
[26:35]someone related to the prophet of Allah as the hadith says what
[26:38]the daughter of Allah's apostles and the daughter of Allah's enemy cannot
[26:42]be wives of one man.
[26:45]How is it then the holy prophet peace be upon him and
[26:47]his family that you took the daughter of Allah's enemy into your
[26:50]household?
[26:51]You took daughters of others of Allah's enemies into your household.
[26:56]Why can I imbal not marry someone's number two?
[27:00]I'll ask you another thing.
[27:00]If someone's dad is bad, does that mean the daughter's bad?
[27:06]If now you say Abu Jahal is a bad person, does that
[27:11]mean automatically Abu Jahal's daughter comes out bad?
[27:15]That's impossible.
[27:16]It's unfair.
[27:18]All of you have read you do not carry the sins of
[27:24]your parents.
[27:25]You cannot say because Abu Jah's dad his kids are all bad.
[27:29]How many of the companions did we see and how many of
[27:31]the famous figures of Islam there were the sons of the worst
[27:36]of the enemies of the holy prophet peace be upon him and
[27:37]his family throughout Islamic history you could have someone who ends up
[27:43]being the most loyal to B his dad is the biggest enemy
[27:45]of and he's the most loyal to and there are numerous examples
[27:51]so for the prophet to say that we'll never give our this
[27:54]is an arrogance The holy prophet is the man of the best.
[28:02]The best means what?
[28:05]Means that he's going to go out in public ridicule Imam Ali
[28:08]on member.
[28:10]This didn't say he said this in the house.
[28:13]He said this on me that this is what's going on.
[28:16]So now we have a question.
[28:17]The prophet married the daughter of his enemy.
[28:20]Why is it not allowed for Im Ali?
[28:22]Number two, what's there to say that joy is problematic?
[28:24]What's the issue?
[28:26]What's the problem?
[28:27]Joeria is the daughter of Abu Jah.
[28:28]Although I do ask the question and maybe historically some of you
[28:32]out there can do more research on this.
[28:34]Joeria at the time was in Mecca or in Medina.
[28:36]I don't know what's happening at the time with Joeria.
[28:38]Suddenly Joeria is thrown into the marriage scene and the matchmaking scene.
[28:42]But I don't know what's going on at the time.
[28:45]Is Jeria converted?
[28:47]Not converted.
[28:46]Because I'll tell you what, if Abu Jahal was butchered on the
[28:54]day of Badr, you all know who killed Abu Jahal.
[28:55]Why is Abu Jahal called Far of the Omah?
[28:58]Abu Jahal was killed by Abdahbas on the day of Badr.
[29:03]I crack up sometimes when I remember the way he died.
[29:06]Why is he called?
[29:06]Faron was the most arrogant of the Arab.
[29:11]Correct.
[29:09]Yes, there's no like evenl takes lessons from Look at Abu Jah.
[29:16]When Abu Jah was dying, Abdullahbn Mas in the beginning of the
[29:18]battle of Badr, he kept on asking a question.
[29:21]You know, all these guys are tall.
[29:24]They're going to kill people.
[29:26]I'm a short compared to them.
[29:26]Who am I going to kill?
[29:27]What do I do?
[29:29]And the prophet peace be upon told him that listen, if any
[29:31]of the enemies, blatant enemies of ours, and they're dying, you can
[29:35]finish him off if the person you could see is a clear
[29:36]danger to us.
[29:38]When Abu Jahal was dying, Abdullahbas came on the body of Abu
[29:41]Jahel.
[29:41]As he was about to attack him, Abu Jahel said, "Wait, wait,
[29:45]wait, wait.
[29:44]Don't kill me.
[29:45]I don't want someone to be remembered for someone short killing me
[29:50]instead of said I believe in the lord of mun while he's
[29:59]drowning said I believe in the lord m abu jah was more
[30:04]concerned about the height of his killer Abu Jah is the now
[30:08]you tell me Abujah has been battered in bed who's the battering
[30:12]from immut and others.
[30:15]You was the daughter.
[30:18]You was the daughter.
[30:18]You're telling me the has completely gone from your soul for the
[30:22]man who was involved in the butchering of your dad.
[30:26]Baba people like couldn't let go of what Ali had done to
[30:33]their families at better and mashallah went through a car wash.
[30:39]Wallah I don't know but I'll give her benefit of the doubt.
[30:41]Maybe she did.
[30:42]There's been crazier things happen in the religion of Islam where the
[30:45]worst of the worst have converted.
[30:46]The bottom line for me is that the contradictions in this are
[30:51]abundant.
[30:51]But there's something that I need to focus on in the narrations
[30:55]related to this.
[30:58]There's always a few names that pop up.
[31:01]But the main name that pops up all the time and this
[31:05]guy will never leave us alone is Mb.
[31:08]Now this guy, you would think that when he narrates something and
[31:14]Bkari takes it, Bkari would have checked every angle of this guy.
[31:20]Okay, we obviously want to go to the books of we want
[31:22]to see what's going on with this guy and so on because
[31:25]this guy pops up everywhere.
[31:25]There's normally a few guys who pop up in this hadith everywhere
[31:30]and those others I can come to in another session.
[31:31]I'll mention a couple of them shortly, but there's this guy in
[31:34]particular pops up everywhere in this hadith al-Marb Mak.
[31:38]So what do we do?
[31:42]So we try and look for the books and try and see
[31:44]what's the story with this guy.
[31:45]Does it all add up?
[31:48]Because if the meta of the hadith is not adding up, this
[31:51]guy must be something questionable.
[31:55]There must be something about him questionable.
[31:57]I want to go back to the Muslim Sah Muslim.
[31:59]We went earlier in the volume 6 of Sah Muslim.
[32:03]All of you can see over here volume 6 of Sah Muslim.
[32:05]I want to go back to it at number 6,37 to see
[32:11]what's this guy's relationship with Bait like.
[32:13]Is this guy a lover of B?
[32:15]Does he have the best of respect for B?
[32:19]Let's come back to this guy.
[32:25]639 All of you page 307 Sah Muslim Hadith number 6309 narrated
[32:28]by who?
[32:30]Narrated by Im Zed Hussein.
[32:36]Imam Zedis narrated that when they came to Medina from Yazid bin
[32:48]Muawi after the killing of Im Hussein he was met by our
[32:56]good friend who met him all of you can see he met
[32:59]Im Zam so this guy's been around for time okay from the
[33:04]prophet until Imam Now he was met by also bin Mak who
[33:11]said to him do you have anything you want me to do?
[33:13]I said, "Can I do you any favor, oh son of Allah?
[33:16]Is there anything I can, you know?" He said, I said to
[33:22]him, "No." He said to him, "Will you give me the sword
[33:24]of the messenger of Allah?
[33:27]For I fear that the people may wrestle it from you by
[33:31]Allah, if you give it to me, I will never give give
[33:35]it up so long as there is still life in me." This
[33:42]person is telling Imam, "You okay?
[33:45]Is only just come back from a massacre." By the way, and
[33:49]the first thing you might say, "No.
[33:54]Are you okay?
[33:55]Is there anything you need from me?
[33:57]Considering there's nothing you need from me, can you give me the
[33:59]sword?
[34:00]Why didn't you pick up a sword to help his father in
[34:03]Kbala?" How many Sahaba let Im Hussein down?
[34:09]How many did not even help the grandson of the holy prophet
[34:11]peace be upon him's family?
[34:11]People say kufa let him down.
[34:13]Mecca and Medina have a lot to answer for.
[34:16]He says to him, give me a sword for I promise you,
[34:19]look what he says, for I fear that the people may wrestle
[34:23]it from you.
[34:23]By Allah, if you give it to me, I will never give
[34:25]it up so long as there is still life in me.
[34:28]Im obviously he's not going to give the sword of the messenger
[34:30]of Allah to this guy.
[34:34]So what does this guy do all of a sudden?
[34:38]He just brings up the story that is all he's famous for.
[34:40]Look at the hadith in Muslim proposed marriage to the daughter of
[34:46]Abu Jah to Fatima.
[34:46]And I heard the message of Allah addressing the people concerning that
[34:50]on his member on this member of his and I was an
[34:56]adolescent at the time.
[34:55]What was he at the time?
[34:57]Adolescent.
[34:58]What was he?
[35:02]Adolescent.
[35:04]He says it himself here.
[35:08]Look over here.
[35:21]spirit of his life.
[35:25]Correct?
[35:24]And I was an adolescent at the time.
[35:28]He said, "Fatama is a part of me and I fear lest
[35:29]she be put to trial with regard to her religious commitment." Then
[35:36]he mentioned a son-in-law of his from Benu and praise his behavior
[35:39]as a son-in-law.
[35:38]He said, "When he spoke to me, he told the truth.
[35:41]When he made me a promise, he kept it.
[35:42]And I do not say that any permissible thing is forbidden or
[35:47]that any forbidding thing is permitted.
[35:48]But by Allah, the daughter of the messenger of Allah and the
[35:51]daughter of the enemy of Allah will never be joined together in
[35:53]one place.
[35:54]Now you tell me if someone's talking to you and he's like,
[35:57]"Uh, can you give me your car keys?" And you're like, "No."
[36:00]He goes, "Then you do know that your grandfather one day tried
[36:03]to propose for this person's high and I was there and I
[36:07]saw the whole." What what's he doing?
[36:08]He's insulting Immad Alisam.
[36:09]By the way, this is an insult.
[36:11]an insult to Imam Alib Hussein who in Sunni and Shia literature
[36:15]is one of the most revered aesthetic pious spiritual personalities in the
[36:19]history of the religion of Islam.
[36:21]Why would you bring up someone's granddad's marriage issue having just asked
[36:25]him for a sword?
[36:28]Why?
[36:26]For what reason?
[36:28]This is one of the people we refer to as haters of
[36:37]everybody tries to protect these but there are some who have certain
[36:43]moments where they stand up to make sure everybody is exposed alani
[36:50]as an example let's see what he says here over here arguably
[36:54]one of the most famous books in Islamic history okay all of
[37:00]you know of Of course of Ahmedi everybody knows him renowned scholar
[37:09]of all of you come with me over here you can all
[37:16]see all of you over here and I'm looking for my pen
[37:19]right now I think it's inlim okay so everybody come with me
[37:24]over here you can all see my dear brothers and sisters we
[37:28]all come to and when we're looking into who are we going
[37:32]to looking for?
[37:34]This is that investigation files.
[37:35]Okay.
[37:36]And this is where sometimes we don't appreciate our scholars and our
[37:40]and the researchers and our communities and the work that they're doing
[37:44]behind the scenes working their socks off to always try and look
[37:47]at all of these areas.
[37:50]But also I've got to appreciate Ibar over here.
[37:54]We may differ with on a number of things but one thing
[37:57]I got to appreciate is looks at talking about the fact that
[38:01]he was at the lesson at the time he's like oh no
[38:02]there's a porky over here is a problem all of you can
[38:10]see let's go over here my dear brothers and sisters where are
[38:13]we are in 2014 edition of the okay all of you can
[38:21]see Come with me over here.
[38:30]He has an interesting discussion about our friend also.
[38:33]Let's see what he says about him.
[38:35]Where are we?
[38:36]All of you can see over here my dear and sisters.
[38:39]This is an extremely small writing and it's testing me.
[38:41]If any opticians want to test my eyes at the end of
[38:47]Ramadan, then you must test them.
[38:48]Here you can see bin and his whole name.
[38:55]All of you can see that of course he narrated from the
[39:00]holy prophet sallallahu alaihi and so on and so forth.
[39:02]I want to come down to the bottom over here page 79
[39:08]of the okay come to the bottom over here.
[39:12]What do we see?
[39:19]Okay.
[39:19]So there's the discussion in Muslim which we all read about Im
[39:27]Ali's proposal to the daughter of Abu Jahith.
[39:43]Why?
[39:52]Okay.
[40:08]If is six or seven at the time when the story happened,
[40:14]how can he be adolescent?
[40:17]Apart from is no one's passing puberty before 11, 12, 13.
[40:22]Okay.
[40:22]And mur is not as I've seen mustache is sometimes at six
[40:28]years old.
[40:30]This guy saying this Ib H saying six at the time.
[40:35]How is he saying THAT I'M ADOLESCENT?
[40:37]NOW IB Haj, you've got a moment where you could just finish
[40:39]this off and say this is a person Sahhabi questionable because he's
[40:44]telling a porky over here.
[40:47]There's an issue over here.
[40:48]He's six or seven.
[40:50]He's saying that he's adolescent.
[40:53]No one's having a wet dream at 6 years old.
[40:58]Haj's got to find a way out.
[41:03]Let's see what he does.
[41:01]Come with me over him.
[41:05]He says possibly maybe he means the linguistic adolescence.
[41:17]What in God's name is linguistic adolescence?
[41:21]What's linguistic adolescence?
[41:26]When someone says I have seen some sort of helm or I
[41:29]am adolescent, it ain't no linguistic adolescence.
[41:32]Now someone might turn around to me and say metaphorical adolescence.
[41:36]What's metaphorical adolescence?
[41:38]What's metaphorical adolescence?
[41:42]Miswar clearly this is a fib.
[41:44]This is a porky there's no such thing as Ali Abu Jahal's
[41:47]daughter.
[41:48]There's no such thing.
[41:51]What are you doing?
[41:51]And the man himself you admit when this marriage took place the
[41:55]guy six how could he SAY I'M PUB PAST puberty in Muslim
[41:59]he says I pass puberty he say but if you're 6 years
[42:03]old how have you passed puberty so he says maybe it's linguistic
[42:06]metaphorical puberty what do I do pull my hair out?
[42:13]What do I do?
[42:12]Smash my head on this table?
[42:15]My dear brothers and sisters, what do I do?
[42:18]What do I do?
[42:17]You have a chance here to make it clear, but you can't.
[42:23]You can't because the of is always under threat.
[42:24]You have to think gymnastics until and mind you look gymnastics occurs
[42:29]with all if I'm going to be frank with you and I'm
[42:32]going to be just we do gymnastics.
[42:34]Everyone does there's an Olympics for gymnastics sometimes when you try to
[42:38]justify the unjustifiable and you have to answer Allah for what you're
[42:41]doing.
[42:41]But over here to say linguistically he's past puberty because a six-year-old
[42:47]definitely is not past puberty.
[42:48]So it must be linguistic or metaphorical.
[42:51]I'm actually in disbelief.
[42:53]I mentioned to you that there's another couple of narrators who always
[42:56]pop up in this story.
[42:57]One of them who always loves to be involved in the story
[43:01]is Abdahn and he loved.
[43:03]Nobody loved Talib like's very bright cute nephew.
[43:08]Yes, this man is the biggest hater of I would put him
[43:15]up there with Samb and others.
[43:18]These are vicious haters, but he's in the story as well.
[43:20]Who else is in the story?
[43:22]I can think of others.
[43:22]There's a number of others I can refer to.
[43:26]There's one.
[43:28]He's in the story.
[43:34]Of course, the famous work all of you can see over here.
[43:42]Immedi Ahmed bin Amani.
[43:44]Okay, this is a famous work.
[43:47]Again, we're looking at all of these personalities.
[43:49]This suede, by the way, this guy, he is in the narrators.
[43:55]This guy ends his life.
[43:57]Look, if you look over here, all of you can see.
[44:02]All of you can see over here.
[44:05]I'm coming to this guy's name on page 338.
[44:06]Actually, it starts on page 337.
[44:11]Okay.
[44:09]Of the Okay, that's all I need to see.
[44:25]Thank you all so much.
[44:25]Is he a companion?
[44:28]Some say no, it's not true and so on.
[44:34]No problem.
[44:35]The debates always occur.
[44:36]What's interesting is when we come to him towards the end of
[44:41]his life, this guy who says that Imam Ali proposed for Abu
[44:44]Jah's daughter, what does he think of Ali?
[44:47]Okay, let because when you want to rip someone, it's because you
[44:50]got an animosity towards them.
[44:51]There's something inside you that kills you about them.
[44:55]Isn't that true?
[44:54]So that's when you want to rip in here in the there
[45:01]is this interesting narration.
[45:01]He, it says here, he came to meet.
[45:16]Okay.
[45:16]And then he begins to talk to him about who he prayed
[45:22]with and so on until it comes over here to what formal.
[46:01]He's prayed with Abu Bakrman.
[46:03]Haj tells him, "But when you go back to your people, make
[46:06]sure you curse fan." Who's this fan?
[46:08]Why in the Sunni world do narrators always have a sudden moment
[46:11]where they forget who they're talking about?
[46:13]Okay.
[46:14]The prophet said this, but I forgot the rest.
[46:16]He said this, but I'm not sure.
[46:17]I heard this, but don't ask me anymore.
[46:19]You'll always hear these lines over here.
[46:28]I obey you.
[46:34]Oh, which fan?
[46:34]Imm This guy and Abdullahbn Zuber and Misar are all part of
[46:43]the haters of Ali.
[46:44]You come and tell me that hating Fatama is because of Ali.
[46:50]Fatama is a part of me.
[46:52]Whoever angers her, angers me is because of Ali.
[46:54]I ask you all a question.
[46:56]Everybody please focus on this.
[46:57]The hadith fat as a part of me whoever angers angers me
[47:02]happened because of Imam Ali and Abu Jahal according to Sunnis.
[47:08]So it happened that when Imam Ali angered her as we've disproved
[47:14]it never happened but let's say Imam Ali angered her then the
[47:17]prophet said the statement.
[47:21]That means whoever heard this statement if they lived years after that
[47:27]and angered hers worse.
[47:28]Understand again before I im Ali proposed to Abu Jahal's daughter there
[47:35]was no Fatam as a part of me whoever angers or angers
[47:41]me.
[47:39]If you say to me the moment I im Ali proposed then
[47:43]the prophet uttered the line as a part of me whoever angers
[47:49]her angers me that means after that day if never angers her
[47:53]then who's in the best position what if someone does anger her
[48:01]say the hadith came because I im Ali angered her then Allah
[48:06]told Ali was a part of me whoever angers okay da finished.
[48:09]What if you heard that and still angered Fatama?
[48:14]That's the line.
[48:16]Come with me.
[48:18]Sah Bkari.
[48:19]Let's see if anyone angered Fatima or no.
[48:22]Sah Bkari over here.
[48:25]Volume four of the Sah of Bkari.
[48:27]All of you can see over here.
[48:28]Sah Bkari volume 4 hadith 2338 to 3848.
[48:34]Before I go into it, I want to play clip number two
[48:38]so we can see very clearly how the sheh makes it clear
[48:41]that if you want to see a list of people who angered
[48:42]Fatama, then begin with because she is the first to have angered
[48:48]Fatama and disrespected her and hurt her.
[48:53]Please play clip number two.
[49:30]We It's mine.
